- 0:25Speaker 1: down below. It's going to give you one hundred dollars
- 0:27Speaker 1: funding reward to get started. Get rolling over there at
- 0:30Speaker 1: I Trust Capital. Let's go into our first clip today,
- 0:33Speaker 1: and that is really talking about the surge on bitcoin
- 0:36Speaker 1: in general, absolutely unbelievable over the weekend and then obviously
- 0:40Speaker 1: breaking all time high again this morning, hitting one twenty three.
- 0:44Speaker 1: In just seven days, bitcoin is added twenty grand to
- 0:48Speaker 1: its price, so a big one for many of you
- 0:50Speaker 1: bitcoin investors who are brand new. Kudos to you. I
- 0:53Speaker 1: think everybody's starting to get a picture around where this
- 0:55Speaker 1: could be going. The other thing that could be happening
- 0:57Speaker 1: is we are going to continue to see shorts liquid
- 1:00Speaker 1: out of the market. Man, this is crazy for this
- 1:03Speaker 1: to happen just in the last five hours, this of
- 1:06Speaker 1: course coming in this morning, and I think as you
- 1:08Speaker 1: watch the market develop. What we're seeing is still bitcoin
- 1:12Speaker 1: very very strong, even on dominance. The idea behind this
- 1:16Speaker 1: is when will some of these other tokens take place.
- 1:18Speaker 1: We'll get into some of that here in a second.
- 1:20Speaker 1: I do want to go to a clip real quick
- 1:22Speaker 1: because this will get into Anthony Papiano on what's driving
- 1:25Speaker 1: the trend. Take a look.
- 1:27Speaker 2: First of all, welcome to the greatest show on Wall Street.
- 1:29Speaker 2: I think that Wall Street's full undivided attention now is
- 1:31Speaker 2: on bitcoin. Everyone wants bitcoin, like this is no longer
- 1:34Speaker 2: a contrarian trade. This is a consensus trade now. And
- 1:36Speaker 2: so you have the ETFs, you have the Bitcoin treasury companies,
- 1:39Speaker 2: you have retail, you have Summer walfund. Everybody wants bitcoin.
- 1:42Speaker 3: Should we be scared of that? Meaning you know, we
- 1:44Speaker 3: were talking not just economists and analysts were like, you know,
- 1:48Speaker 3: when the economists have a consensus view, usually should go
- 1:52Speaker 3: the other direction.
- 1:53Speaker 2: Yeah, well the economists still don't like bitcoin. So I
- 1:55Speaker 2: think we're okay. But if you take a look at
- 1:57Speaker 2: you know, the SMP. Everyone wants the SMP, right, And
- 2:00Speaker 2: so what you want is you want persistent kind of
- 2:03Speaker 2: price insensitive buyers. And that's finally what bitcoin has, and
- 2:06Speaker 2: it's not just coming from retail investors, it's also coming
- 2:08Speaker 2: from these institutions, and I think that'll continue to.
- 2:10Speaker 4: Drive the matter what Congress does anymore.
- 2:13Speaker 2: I think that bitcoin has always been a decentralized asset
- 2:16Speaker 2: that really didn't care what anyone else did.
- 2:18Speaker 4: But part of the bullish this was a friendlier administration,
- 2:24Speaker 4: friendlier Congress.
- 2:25Speaker 3: It definitely helps.
- 2:26Speaker 4: Is the bill going to pass the one that's pending.
- 2:29Speaker 2: I think that the bill will pass, But again, the bills,
- 2:31Speaker 2: most of the bills are actually not addressing bitcoin in particular, right,
- 2:34Speaker 2: stable coins, market structure, and things like that.
- 2:36Speaker 4: General crypto universe though.
- 2:38Speaker 2: Yeah, I look obviously having an administration that created the
- 2:42Speaker 2: Strategic Bitcoin Reserve leaned into bitcoin, I think is a
- 2:45Speaker 2: very bullish element. But I don't think that bitcoin was
- 2:47Speaker 2: going to go down or not work if the administration
- 2:50Speaker 2: wasn't positive on it.
- 2:51Speaker 1: All right, So obviously Pompleano really focused in on bitcoin.
- 2:54Speaker 1: That's been his narrative forever. But really this week, of course,
- 2:58Speaker 1: we'll have a lot more. I think that we'll go
- 3:00Speaker 1: into the rest of the traditional markets around crypto in general.
- 3:03Speaker 1: The main thing is it's going to open up a
- 3:05Speaker 1: lot of things that I get questions on right now
- 3:09Speaker 1: by major financial managers, and that is what's next in
- 3:13Speaker 1: these markets, and as we all know, that's really where
- 3:15Speaker 1: we start to see a lot of these all coins
- 3:17Speaker 1: start to move. Here's Matthew Siegel talking about if Vanguard
- 3:20Speaker 1: Bitcoin as immature has no value. Also, Bangor, by his
- 3:22Speaker 1: twenty million of Master becomes the top backer of bitcoin's
- 3:25Speaker 1: loudest bull so you can kind of see, yes, that
- 3:29Speaker 1: is the scenario in Wall Street where but he's starting
- 3:32Speaker 1: to understand, yes, the core asset is still a big
- 3:35Speaker 1: part of the narrative of crypto in general. I want
- 3:38Speaker 1: to go to another clip here because this is where
- 3:40Speaker 1: they get into speculating can bitcoin make a run quickly
- 3:44Speaker 1: up to one thirty Take a look.
- 3:46Speaker 5: Because we just had like a short term model breakout
- 3:49Speaker 5: literally like ten days ago, and historically bitcoin actually rallied
- 3:53Speaker 5: by twenty percent, so that would bring us actually to
- 3:55Speaker 5: one hundred and thirty three thousand. But you know, an
- 3:58Speaker 5: interesting aspect that you mentioned is really that the retail
- 4:01Speaker 5: investors are not really participating. For them, maybe one bitcoin
- 4:04Speaker 5: seems to be too expensive. But on the other side,
- 4:07Speaker 5: we have of course, a lot of corporates, a lot
- 4:08Speaker 5: of institutional investors buying, and the bitcoin ETFs they have
- 4:12Speaker 5: bought fifteen billion dollars over the last six to eight weeks.
- 4:16Speaker 5: And I think the most interesting aspect is actually that
- 4:18Speaker 5: only three crypto exchanges have more than one hundred and
- 4:21Speaker 5: fifty thousand BDC left, so there has been a lot
- 4:24Speaker 5: of you know, bitcoins leaving exchanges. There's not a lot
- 4:27Speaker 5: of bitcoins left on exchanges, and I think that's why
- 4:30Speaker 5: a lot of people like scrambling to really get their
- 4:32Speaker 5: hands on bitcoin, because again, they are not many bitcoins
- 4:34Speaker 5: left right now. It's in point because people are looking
- 4:36Speaker 5: really at the round numbers. You know, we're not looking
- 4:38Speaker 5: at you know, one hundred and twenty two, we're looking
- 4:40Speaker 5: at one hundred and thirty. We're looking at a hundred
- 4:42Speaker 5: and forty, we're looking at hundred and fifty. You know,
- 4:44Speaker 5: we have in the year and target of around one
- 4:46Speaker 5: hundred forty to one hundred and sixty, all.
- 4:48Speaker 1: Right, So obviously someone really on the camp of war
- 4:52Speaker 1: bitcoins could be going. Eric Balshern is talking about this
- 4:56Speaker 1: and the narrative around ETFs, because ETFs have been kind
- 4:59Speaker 1: of point out as well, is that the driving force
- 5:02Speaker 1: If you look at his sweet right here, and what
- 5:03Speaker 1: he's basically boiling down is that during the last run
- 5:07Speaker 1: and also during the GameStop era, we saw a lot
- 5:09Speaker 1: of foam all a lot of retail. This time around, he's saying,
- 5:13Speaker 1: this is a different kind of investor. It is retail,
- 5:16Speaker 1: but it's smart money. Now. How that affects the rest
- 5:18Speaker 1: of the market may be much bigger and also less volatile.
- 5:23Speaker 1: The question is is going to be is it going
- 5:25Speaker 1: to be as violent in terms of these upswings. That's
- 5:28Speaker 1: the thing that I think we're going to be watching
- 5:29Speaker 1: over the next few weeks and months as bitcoin starts
- 5:32Speaker 1: to really start to dive in this week, though, is
- 5:37Speaker 1: a lot happening. And one of the things that is happening, well,
- 5:39Speaker 1: we'll get three of the things Genius Act potentially going through,
- 5:42Speaker 1: the Anti CBDC Surveillance State Act happening, and also the
- 5:45Speaker 1: Clarity Act. All of this could be under definition and
- 5:49Speaker 1: approved in a sense that we will get much more
- 5:51Speaker 1: regulatory alignment. That of course is very good for all
- 5:54Speaker 1: of crypto, including bitcoin. Likelihood is will continue to see bitcoin,
- 6:00Speaker 1: I think as we see more positive news coming out
- 6:03Speaker 1: here's Matt Hogan. Big impact of cryptoweek legislation will reduce
- 6:06Speaker 1: rick down, reduce risk and downside volatility in the market.
- 6:10Speaker 1: And I think this is one of the things that
- 6:11Speaker 1: plays into why people are investing in bitcoin and other
- 6:14Speaker 1: assets that are circling around it is that it is
- 6:18Speaker 1: less volatile in the sense of they don't think we're
- 6:20Speaker 1: going to see these massive seventy percent drawdowns. And that
- 6:24Speaker 1: is a different kind of investor because it's now looking
- 6:27Speaker 1: at an investor that is willing to hold through, and
- 6:31Speaker 1: that is when bitcoin continues to climb, and I think
- 6:35Speaker 1: that's a factor everyone needs to pay attention to. B
- 6:37Speaker 1: of A launches a new weekly period periodical on chain
- 6:41Speaker 1: designed to drill into the various facts and evolving digital asset.
- 6:44Speaker 1: The fact that BOA is doing this, come on, guys,
- 6:48Speaker 1: this is definitely I don't know as they say that
- 6:51Speaker 1: it's top indicators, but it's definitely starting to show mainstream
- 6:55Speaker 1: banking and finances moving in this direction in terms of
- 6:58Speaker 1: digital assets. All right, go to a clip here, because
- 7:01Speaker 1: when you think about crypto, a lot of people look
- 7:04Speaker 1: at you know, is it secure. Many people kind of
- 7:06Speaker 1: compare this to banks. More on the FDIC insurance side
- 7:09Speaker 1: of things. Take a look this clip. It kind of
- 7:11Speaker 1: explains it.
- 7:12Speaker 6: Strong banks want strong regulation. Strong firms in this space
- 7:18Speaker 6: want strong regulation. The reason we're so excited about Circle.
- 7:22Speaker 3: What happens when and if competition really comes into.
- 7:25Speaker 6: This space in stable coin the.
- 7:28Speaker 3: Stable coin universe.
- 7:29Speaker 6: Yeah, you know, I think there will be competition. I
- 7:32Speaker 6: think Jeremy has always said there may be multiple But
- 7:35Speaker 6: the fact that Circle is open to everyone and not
- 7:38Speaker 6: kind of a private stable coin. But the FED wire
- 7:42Speaker 6: was not invented by the FED. It was invented by
- 7:45Speaker 6: the private sector and then highly highly regulated. We're going
- 7:48Speaker 6: to see the same thing in stable coins. You're going
- 7:50Speaker 6: to see the FED allowing the private sector such as
- 7:53Speaker 6: Circle to develop the technology and then highly highly regulated.
- 7:59Speaker 1: All right, and that will also start to create much
- 8:02Speaker 1: more I think, consensus around how these digital assets are
- 8:06Speaker 1: going to be utilized. One thing to also compare is
- 8:09Speaker 1: how the market has grown in just a very short
- 8:11Speaker 1: period of time. The markets now have added another one
- 8:14Speaker 1: point two trillion into market cap. That's since Trump basically
- 8:18Speaker 1: started to pause reciprocal tariffs on April ninth. Now granted
- 8:22Speaker 1: tariffs are still in play, and also if you look
- 8:25Speaker 1: at the overall market cap in general, museument on that
- 8:28Speaker 1: three point eight tri We are close to crossing a
- 8:32Speaker 1: four trillion dollar market cap on the crypto and digital
- 8:37Speaker 1: assets theme. This is a huge milestone in financial history,
- 8:41Speaker 1: and I think maybe Wall Street is finally getting the picture.
- 8:45Speaker 1: If you take a look at the overall market cap
- 8:48Speaker 1: right they're holding at three point seven six. And also
- 8:50Speaker 1: if you look at fear and greed, this was an
- 8:52Speaker 1: int This one is interesting because we had a big
- 8:54Speaker 1: spike up over the weekend now ranking at seventy, which
- 8:57Speaker 1: is moving into of course greed solidly. We haven't moved
- 9:02Speaker 1: into extreme greed, but definitely on a tight window for
- 9:07Speaker 1: an explosion. And this is something to take a look at, guys,
- 9:10Speaker 1: because as we start to see this, that's when you
- 9:12Speaker 1: start to see more activity from retail starting to flow
- 9:15Speaker 1: in other things I want to point at right here.
- 9:18Speaker 1: Interesting on this is that there's still a lot of
- 9:20Speaker 1: leverage shorts on ETH. Right now it's the record high
- 9:24Speaker 1: and ETH is trading at above three k. So this
- 9:26Speaker 1: is getting to become a very risky trade. With bitcoin
- 9:30Speaker 1: carrying Eth kind of on its shoulders up the charts.
- 9:33Speaker 1: It could be one of those things where we see
- 9:35Speaker 1: a major short squeeze coming in on ethereum. So watch
- 9:38Speaker 1: this because this happened on bitcoin just last week, so
- 9:42Speaker 1: could be some big indicators here. Strategic Ether reserve tops
- 9:47Speaker 1: four billion, this is now backed by fifty entities. We're
- 9:50Speaker 1: continuing to see growth in this, and I think this
- 9:52Speaker 1: is another factor as we start to look at how
- 9:55Speaker 1: treasury companies are starting to deploy eth in their strategy,
- 9:58Speaker 1: and I think that is a fact going forward. Right there.
- 10:01Speaker 1: Of course you can kind of see BM and R
- 10:03Speaker 1: they added one hundred and sixty three thousand eight to
- 10:06Speaker 1: their reserve, and most likely we're going to continue to
- 10:08Speaker 1: see Remember this is Funstrat and Tom Lee, and everybody
- 10:11Speaker 1: knows Tom Lee has had a very interesting, stellar past
- 10:16Speaker 1: on Wall Street, all of which have been calling the
- 10:18Speaker 1: tops and the major moves you should be making around
- 10:22Speaker 1: digital assets. I want to go to a clip real
- 10:24Speaker 1: quick because this gets into kind of giving Tom Lee
- 10:27Speaker 1: his roses. Take a look.
- 10:29Speaker 4: I mean, Tom Lee is a is he a god?
- 10:32Speaker 4: He's a demigod at this point. I mean he's not
- 10:35Speaker 4: afraid and we people laugh at him when he says things.
- 10:39Speaker 4: And then next thing, you know, to turn around and
- 10:42Speaker 4: exactly what he says happens.
- 10:44Speaker 1: All right, So from this, if you look at his performance,
- 10:48Speaker 1: Tom Lee, he's been and I would agree with Ryan
- 10:51Speaker 1: here is that he has been I would say the
- 10:54Speaker 1: most bullish thing to happen to eat that definitely this year.
- 10:57Speaker 1: You look at this guy, he has been calling a
- 11:00Speaker 1: bitcoin for quite some time. This was in twenty seventeen.
- 11:03Speaker 1: He was calling for a fifty five k when it
- 11:04Speaker 1: was at two. People were laughing at him, and that
- 11:06Speaker 1: is exactly what they were talking about earlier on CNBC.
- 11:10Speaker 1: And you look it further into this, every mainstream investor
- 11:14Speaker 1: just spent the last eight years watching Tom Lee do
- 11:17Speaker 1: five thousand percent on his bitcoin price calls. If he
- 11:22Speaker 1: is even remotely close to right based on his movement
- 11:27Speaker 1: into ethereum, guys, we may be in for a big,
- 11:30Speaker 1: big ride as ethereum starts to move forward as well
- 11:33Speaker 1: other things that happening. Of course, you've got to consider
- 11:35Speaker 1: tariffs that will continue to put a little bit of
- 11:37Speaker 1: pressure on the macro side of thing, and that of
- 11:39Speaker 1: course is President Trump threatened severe tariffs if Russia and
- 11:43Speaker 1: on Russia if no deal is made in the next
- 11:45Speaker 1: fifty days. We're also starting to see a little pressure
- 11:47Speaker 1: on the EU. EU is now trying to team up
- 11:50Speaker 1: with other countries to try to put a little pressure
- 11:52Speaker 1: back on the United States. We'll see how that plays
- 11:54Speaker 1: into this going ahead. August now is a new date
- 11:57Speaker 1: as he continues to kind of kick the can down
- 11:59Speaker 1: the road. Look at these tariffs and this is going
- 12:01Speaker 1: to essentially boil down to about three hundred billion dollars
- 12:05Speaker 1: in revenue for the United States just in twenty twenty five.
- 12:08Speaker 1: And that's the conservative estimate, three hundred billion. This could
- 12:11Speaker 1: get in where it could be half a trillion dollars,
- 12:14Speaker 1: the first time we've seen surplus in this area. So,
- 12:18Speaker 1: whether you like it or not, it seems to be working.
- 12:20Speaker 1: The key here is does this put pressure on American consumers?
- 12:24Speaker 1: So far it has been not the you know, importers
- 12:29Speaker 1: that are the exporters that have been taking price right now,
- 12:32Speaker 1: it has been the importers, meaning the companies here in
- 12:34Speaker 1: the United State have been holding back inflation. We'll see
- 12:37Speaker 1: the CPI tomorrow if it comes in soft or on target.
- 12:41Speaker 1: Chair Pal has got some explaining to do. We'll take
- 12:44Speaker 1: a look at that. Make sure and subscribe to the
- 12:45Speaker 1: channel and of course if you're not in the Diamond circle,
- 12:48Speaker 1: get in right now. It's a great place to get
- 12:49Speaker 1: additional content. Follow me on x at Paul Baron. We'll
- 12:52Speaker 1: catch you next time right here on The Paul Baron Show.
