- 0:16Speaker 1: Welcome in too, Jags.
- 0:17Speaker 2: I'm prevented by Field Auto Group. I'm Connuntie Stevens, Brian
- 0:19Speaker 2: Sexton and John Oser are with me as we're inside today.
- 0:22Speaker 2: The JAG's doing a little bit of a walk through
- 0:23Speaker 2: before their matchup in their second preseason game against the Panthers.
- 0:27Speaker 2: But we've got a lot to recap for you after
- 0:29Speaker 2: a very eventful joint practice yesterday and as still some
- 0:32Speaker 2: question marks as to whether or not we'll see the starters.
- 0:34Speaker 2: Let's start out with our big things today, brought to
- 0:36Speaker 2: you by g EH Government Employees Health Association, and.
- 0:40Speaker 1: Big thing number one is a tone setter.
- 0:42Speaker 2: Unlike in New Orleans where the Jaguars came out a
- 0:45Speaker 2: little bit slow, Head coach Liam Cohen said, the Jaguars
- 0:47Speaker 2: came out ready to roll yesterday against the Panthers.
- 0:50Speaker 3: That's kind of what we challenged done with a little bit,
- 0:54Speaker 3: you know, to come out and you know, set a
- 0:57Speaker 3: tone and come out and play fast instead of all right,
- 1:00Speaker 3: we gotta get punch in the mouth and then we respond.
- 1:02Speaker 3: So that was nice to see us be able to
- 1:05Speaker 3: come out and start fast.
- 1:07Speaker 2: Brandon, it wasn't a bad practice in nu Orance, but
- 1:09Speaker 2: they did start slow and then kind of build up
- 1:12Speaker 2: to it, but they came out fast yesterday, and I
- 1:13Speaker 2: think that was important for what Liam needed to see
- 1:15Speaker 2: out of his team.
- 1:16Speaker 4: Yeah, it wasn't a bad practice, You're right. It wasn't
- 1:18Speaker 4: a good practice either, and that's what Liam wanted to see. Then.
- 1:22Speaker 5: And then they came back and they had a couple
- 1:23Speaker 5: of padded practices on Monday and Tuesday, which it says
- 1:26Speaker 5: tone setter.
- 1:27Speaker 4: I think that's what did it. John.
- 1:29Speaker 5: They came out, they were physical, they were tough at
- 1:32Speaker 5: the line of scrimmage. I watched the defense, Jeff Logerman
- 1:35Speaker 5: was watching the offense. We compared notes afterwards, and it
- 1:37Speaker 5: sounded like across the board you had a team that
- 1:40Speaker 5: had been challenged by their coach to be fundamentally sound
- 1:43Speaker 5: and tough, and they were and it was good to see.
- 1:46Speaker 6: Yeah, I don't want to say it was the best
- 1:48Speaker 6: practice I've ever seen. They don't know how to quantify that.
- 1:50Speaker 6: You know, you're watching so many different things, you miss things,
- 1:54Speaker 6: and sure it wasn't perfect, but I thought, considering that
- 1:57Speaker 6: they really wanted to get something done and that they
- 2:00Speaker 6: wanted to have fire energy, and they had talked about
- 2:03Speaker 6: it all week. When we walked off the set, we
- 2:06Speaker 6: had done jags am early in the practice when we
- 2:08Speaker 6: walked out there, I'm not sure I've ever been around
- 2:11Speaker 6: a practice where you could feel the energy as much
- 2:13Speaker 6: and then you kept feeling the energy. Antonio Johnson's knocking
- 2:17Speaker 6: guys on their rear end. Jalen Husky, I was watching
- 2:21Speaker 6: the defense. Trayvon Walker is doing the same thing it was.
- 2:25Speaker 6: It stood out as a practice where it's one you'll
- 2:29Speaker 6: remember and practice, Brian is sometimes hard to remember.
- 2:32Speaker 5: Yeah, and Kyle, we should point out you and I
- 2:34Speaker 5: were at a meeting yesterday afternoon where it was said
- 2:36Speaker 5: by people who would know, that was the best practice
- 2:38Speaker 5: the offensive line had all camp long. And again, the
- 2:42Speaker 5: offensive line has been a story because of the mixing
- 2:45Speaker 5: and matching and moving parts. For that to be said
- 2:47Speaker 5: in a joint practice, coming off of the Saints joint practice,
- 2:52Speaker 5: you had to leave yesterday feeling good about where this
- 2:54Speaker 5: team is.
- 2:55Speaker 2: Yes, I think, so let's go to our second big thing,
- 2:57Speaker 2: which is maybe yes, maybe no. After a good practice.
- 3:01Speaker 2: Earlier in the Weeklyam Cohen had said he wanted to
- 3:03Speaker 2: see his starters or was trending towards probably playing his
- 3:05Speaker 2: starters a bit on Friday, but after practice joint practice
- 3:09Speaker 2: on Wednesday, he said, I'm not so sure yet.
- 3:11Speaker 1: Gonna take a look at the film.
- 3:12Speaker 2: See where we're at health wise, John, how much of
- 3:14Speaker 2: this is a health situation and how much of this
- 3:17Speaker 2: is he saw what he needed to see on Wednesday?
- 3:19Speaker 6: Well, both, you know, I think it's more the latter,
- 3:24Speaker 6: because I don't think generally speaking, he wants to play
- 3:27Speaker 6: starters in practice in the preseason games. It's not so
- 3:31Speaker 6: much a health issue right now. It's just the number
- 3:33Speaker 6: one goal of the preseason in the NFL now is
- 3:35Speaker 6: to have your guys ready for Week one. And so
- 3:39Speaker 6: I would be a little surprised or very surprised at
- 3:41Speaker 6: this point a if we find excuse, if we find
- 3:47Speaker 6: out for sure and be I'd be a little surprised
- 3:49Speaker 6: if they play on Friday night. Brian, it feels like
- 3:52Speaker 6: he saw what he wanted to see.
- 3:53Speaker 4: Well, I saw it.
- 3:54Speaker 5: In fact, I walked up the practice field thinking we
- 3:56Speaker 5: wouldn't see them. But then there's this, and he said
- 3:59Speaker 5: it earlier in the week. You need to hint, you
- 4:02Speaker 5: need to have time. And the strategic stressing of players
- 4:07Speaker 5: is a science that's evolving, but you got to play
- 4:11Speaker 5: football at some point to be a good at football,
- 4:14Speaker 5: and you hadn't seen enough of it after the Saints.
- 4:17Speaker 5: I think maybe he's seen enough of it this week.
- 4:19Speaker 4: I was told this.
- 4:19Speaker 5: Morning it's a fluid changing environment. You may see guys
- 4:22Speaker 5: that are going to play that come in just for
- 4:25Speaker 5: a short series to see one or two things, one
- 4:28Speaker 5: or two areas, but you're not going to see wholesale.
- 4:31Speaker 5: The starters are going two series.
- 4:33Speaker 4: It will not be that.
- 4:34Speaker 6: Yeah, Kai, On that front, I thought it was. It
- 4:37Speaker 6: wasn't a ton of hitting to the ground, but in
- 4:39Speaker 6: this day and age, it was more than I'd seen
- 4:42Speaker 6: in a long time. So I think there was definitely
- 4:44Speaker 6: a thought of if we can get the hitting out
- 4:46Speaker 6: of the way, now, let's do it. Kind of felt
- 4:48Speaker 6: like they did.
- 4:48Speaker 1: I think so too. I agree with you.
- 4:50Speaker 2: On the defense, we definitely saw some more physicality than
- 4:52Speaker 2: we've seen previously. Final big thing today going to be
- 4:55Speaker 2: O line wose. We've been talking about it all week
- 4:57Speaker 2: and the Jaguars did end up trading a draft pick
- 4:59Speaker 2: to get Daniel for from the Giants to kind of
- 5:02Speaker 2: add another body in there. I don't think he's going
- 5:04Speaker 2: to be anywhere near the starting rotation, Brian, because while
- 5:08Speaker 2: some of these injuries are concerning right now, they just
- 5:10Speaker 2: need bodies. I think that the starting lineup may be
- 5:12Speaker 2: a little more familiar than we originally thought it would be.
- 5:15Speaker 5: Yeah, I don't think we're going to see dramatic changes.
- 5:18Speaker 5: You're not gonna see Joonah Manheim playing right guard or
- 5:20Speaker 5: for Laile.
- 5:21Speaker 4: Did I get that right. You're not going to see
- 5:23Speaker 4: him in the lineup or anything like that.
- 5:24Speaker 5: But they needed fortifications because they were getting down to
- 5:27Speaker 5: that third tier.
- 5:29Speaker 4: You know.
- 5:29Speaker 5: I mentioned Ricky Lee, the young guy from North Carolina
- 5:32Speaker 5: at who played at Riverside High. I mean, he's a
- 5:35Speaker 5: developmental prospect and you were having to play him with
- 5:37Speaker 5: the second group and he's not even completely healthy. They
- 5:40Speaker 5: just needed more bodies that will play the style that
- 5:44Speaker 5: this team wants to play. For Laila had a long
- 5:46Speaker 5: starting streak in Baltimore. He's a big, physical guy. They
- 5:50Speaker 5: want to be able to run the ball, especially in
- 5:52Speaker 5: the middle of the field, So it made sense for them,
- 5:54Speaker 5: especially at the cost A sixth round pick for a
- 5:56Speaker 5: guy with as much experience as he has makes some sense.
- 6:01Speaker 6: Yeah, they like to have six and seventh round picks
- 6:03Speaker 6: to spend it this time of year if they feel
- 6:05Speaker 6: like they need to do this, So that's sort of.
- 6:06Speaker 4: In their budget, if you will.
- 6:09Speaker 6: I uh, I said all along, and the theme all
- 6:12Speaker 6: along through all these injuries has been most of them
- 6:15Speaker 6: seem short term. The only one that's not sounds like
- 6:17Speaker 6: McCary and sounds like that could take the first part
- 6:20Speaker 6: of the season. Beyond that, it's still short term stuff.
- 6:23Speaker 6: So uh. Again, the theme has been they're worried about
- 6:28Speaker 6: the offensive line and the short term. In the long term,
- 6:31Speaker 6: they s they feel fine about it.
- 6:33Speaker 1: Alright. So here on JAGSA, I'm coming up.
- 6:35Speaker 2: We're gonna give you our predictions for the preseason game
- 6:37Speaker 2: and a little bit further into the future as well.
- 6:46Speaker 2: Sudeth is Florida's most trusted and dependable moving company. Setteth
- 6:50Speaker 2: how to be the official moving company of the Jacksonville Daguars.
- 6:52Speaker 2: To get a guaranteed quote, visit sutteth dot com slash Jacksonville.
- 6:59Speaker 2: Welcome back in as you get ready for preseason game
- 7:02Speaker 2: on Friday, do a little he will, he want, he might,
- 7:04Speaker 2: But we're going to look forward to preseason and then
- 7:06Speaker 2: also the regular season. So what do you guys think
- 7:09Speaker 2: this is your gut feeling. Starters will play on Friday?
- 7:12Speaker 1: They will, they.
- 7:13Speaker 7: Won't, They might most won't.
- 7:15Speaker 6: I mean, I'm sure some that are technically starters, but
- 7:19Speaker 6: in terms of what we think of as the mass
- 7:21Speaker 6: starting where you're trying to get continuity, you're trying to
- 7:24Speaker 6: get those reps, I'd be really surprised at this point
- 7:27Speaker 6: if they play Brian.
- 7:28Speaker 1: I think you would be kiss.
- 7:29Speaker 4: I would too.
- 7:29Speaker 5: You're not going to put Trevor Lawrence out there unless
- 7:31Speaker 5: you're guaranteed that you can protect him. The flip side
- 7:34Speaker 5: of that is there might be an offensive lineman or
- 7:36Speaker 5: two that you want to see as part of the
- 7:38Speaker 5: running game that has been such a major focus this
- 7:41Speaker 5: offseason to get.
- 7:42Speaker 4: The running game started.
- 7:43Speaker 5: Now, from what Jeff told me, because he watched the offense,
- 7:46Speaker 5: they really had a good period against the Carolina Panthers.
- 7:49Speaker 4: So maybe you saw enough, but you know, there'd be
- 7:51Speaker 4: a couple of guys that they want to see, but
- 7:53Speaker 4: not many a mixture.
- 7:55Speaker 6: Yeah, that's something we sort of didn't touch on in
- 7:57Speaker 6: the first segment. My understanding is maybe the best running
- 8:01Speaker 6: day that they've had in practice, maybe since they've been here.
- 8:05Speaker 6: I don't remember all the practices last year and asked
- 8:06Speaker 6: me that. But the energy enthusiasm level over the running
- 8:11Speaker 6: game was really high after yesterday.
- 8:12Speaker 5: The first I might want to play both of my
- 8:14Speaker 5: guards in the ball game because I want to see
- 8:18Speaker 5: the running game. I want to see pregnant. I want
- 8:20Speaker 5: to see if it's Cleveland, if it's Monhunt, whoever it's
- 8:22Speaker 5: going to be. I might want to get a little
- 8:24Speaker 5: cohesion going there.
- 8:26Speaker 2: Yes, and impressive when you're saying best o line day.
- 8:28Speaker 2: Also getting a great running back day, and that's not
- 8:32Speaker 2: insignificant in training camp, where it's very easy.
- 8:34Speaker 1: When they're not tackling fully all the time.
- 8:36Speaker 6: It's hard to get that.
- 8:37Speaker 1: It's hard to get a good running back day.
- 8:39Speaker 2: So that is important to note that as well so
- 8:41Speaker 2: leading into it in the regular season. Basil Tuton will
- 8:45Speaker 2: lead this team and rusted he really won't.
- 8:47Speaker 4: He might, I think you will. He's the explosive component
- 8:50Speaker 4: of the running game.
- 8:51Speaker 5: I get it that they want to slam the ball
- 8:54Speaker 5: with Chris Rodriguez, and I think he's going to have
- 8:56Speaker 5: a very significant rule. But I saw running play yesterday
- 9:01Speaker 5: where Bachel got loosed and was sixty sixty five yard
- 9:04Speaker 5: run down the sideline and Chris Robinson or Rodriguez does
- 9:07Speaker 5: not have that. You have so much with Bachel tooting
- 9:12Speaker 5: that he can do.
- 9:13Speaker 4: I think he's the number one guy.
- 9:14Speaker 6: Yeah, I think he will lead it in rushes. I
- 9:19Speaker 6: could see a scenario where where he leads it in
- 9:21Speaker 6: rushing and not rushes because Basel's gonna have so many
- 9:25Speaker 6: more explosive runs. I still kind of think it's gonna
- 9:29Speaker 6: be more by committee than a lot of people think
- 9:31Speaker 6: you have for the price yesterdays. They know Basiel is
- 9:33Speaker 6: gonna start, and he will, but to me, just the
- 9:38Speaker 6: physicality they want to play with Chris Rodriguez gives you
- 9:43Speaker 6: that in a way that I think it's gonna be
- 9:45Speaker 6: very appealing to this bunch.
- 9:47Speaker 1: But yeah, I'll go too.
- 9:48Speaker 2: I think I'm in the he might category only because
- 9:51Speaker 2: I'm with you, John, I think because of the explosive
- 9:53Speaker 2: playability for too. No, I don know number of rushes
- 9:56Speaker 2: are gonna be because you know, I think see roud
- 9:58Speaker 2: will be a little more short yardage kind of to
- 10:00Speaker 2: back sort of things, So numbers wise, so it'll be interesting.
- 10:03Speaker 2: I think it'll be a closer split than people are
- 10:04Speaker 2: originally thinking though, And then we talked a little bit
- 10:07Speaker 2: about the offensive line. But one of the impressive people
- 10:10Speaker 2: from the rookie class that we've seen so far as
- 10:12Speaker 2: Emmanuel Pragnani, looks really good in that first preseason game.
- 10:15Speaker 2: He'll probably get some more play this week. Do you
- 10:18Speaker 2: think he'll be a starter in week one?
- 10:19Speaker 1: He will? He won't him?
- 10:20Speaker 6: Mike, Yeah, I'm thinking he will. Now, Brian, I would
- 10:23Speaker 6: have been surprised to say that three weeks ago. Circumstance
- 10:28Speaker 6: and his ability has sort of conspired. Well, I think
- 10:33Speaker 6: it's I'm not sure they want to start him, And
- 10:36Speaker 6: I'm saying they don't want to start him. It's you
- 10:37Speaker 6: know what I'm saying, Yeah, they would rather have had
- 10:39Speaker 6: him that time, But all of a sudden, it's like
- 10:42Speaker 6: they keep seeing him. It's like, well, we're going to
- 10:43Speaker 6: start the kid. It's it's it's they're gonna look around
- 10:47Speaker 6: at each other and say, we're gonna look kind of
- 10:48Speaker 6: silly if we don't start him, because he's really good.
- 10:51Speaker 5: Well, he had a chance to shoo they to play
- 10:52Speaker 5: against Derek Brown, you know, an old pro defensive tackle.
- 10:56Speaker 5: He had some learning moments there, sure he did, but
- 10:58Speaker 5: he's a physically overpowering prospect, and you just can't keep
- 11:02Speaker 5: talent like that out of the lineup. Plus, without McCarry,
- 11:06Speaker 5: you're probably better to move Ezra Cleveland, who's in the
- 11:09Speaker 5: final year of his deal, right over to right guard
- 11:12Speaker 5: and just establish the left side. You're going to have
- 11:15Speaker 5: Anton Harrison over there for seeably for the long term future.
- 11:19Speaker 4: Why not put Pragnon next to him and let that
- 11:21Speaker 4: grow together.
- 11:22Speaker 6: He's just for fans who haven't seen him. You're kind
- 11:25Speaker 6: of practice in a league of big, powerful human beings.
- 11:30Speaker 1: He's big.
- 11:31Speaker 6: If you're standing there, you go, oh, who's that big
- 11:32Speaker 6: powerful human? I mean, he's a different guy.
- 11:35Speaker 5: Well, and the word on him also is is that
- 11:37Speaker 5: he is relentless, so much so that they have to
- 11:39Speaker 5: dial him back because he is constantly working, whether it's
- 11:43Speaker 5: in the playbook or whether it is on the field.
- 11:46Speaker 5: He is one thousand miles an hour at all times.
- 11:48Speaker 5: And so you like to have a guy like that
- 11:50Speaker 5: pushing people out of the way.
- 11:52Speaker 2: I think it's clear he'll be a starter sooner than later,
- 11:54Speaker 2: for sure, And I think the best place to learn
- 11:56Speaker 2: for something like this you got to put him in.
- 11:58Speaker 1: He's going to figure it out.
- 11:59Speaker 2: He's a rookie, but it's better doing it now than
- 12:01Speaker 2: in week ten to kind of figure it out. But
- 12:04Speaker 2: an I want to add on to this. Do we
- 12:06Speaker 2: think it's on left side or right side side? Well?
- 12:09Speaker 6: Yeah, he's been working on the left. So it seems
- 12:13Speaker 6: you would think with a rookie that you would not
- 12:16Speaker 6: work him on the left and say, Okay, we're gonna
- 12:17Speaker 6: switch him around. Uh, with a veteran, you can do that.
- 12:20Speaker 6: They've moved as you're around a little bit. He moved
- 12:22Speaker 6: Cole last year. With a rookie, he's getting reps that left.
- 12:26Speaker 4: You might move him at forced, but I don't think
- 12:28Speaker 4: he would want to.
- 12:30Speaker 1: Alright, stay with her on Jagsam. We'll be right back
- 12:32Speaker 1: after the break.
- 12:37Speaker 2: Jaguars game against the Panthers brought to you by ticket Master,
- 12:39Speaker 2: the official ticket marketplace of the Jacksonville Jaguars. Probably still
- 12:42Speaker 2: some tickets available if you guys wanna get back in there.
- 12:44Speaker 2: It's our first game back at Everybank Stadium.
- 12:47Speaker 8: I really believe that we're getting better. I think we
- 12:50Speaker 8: were a lot better today than we were last week
- 12:52Speaker 8: when we went against the Saints. I thought we had
- 12:54Speaker 8: a lot more energy we got after it. I thought
- 12:57Speaker 8: just brought the juice every play we ran it really good,
- 12:58Speaker 8: were really physical. So there were some big improvements. But
- 13:02Speaker 8: there's football is such a I mean, there's such a
- 13:05Speaker 8: fine line. There's so many details, so I think that
- 13:07Speaker 8: there's gonna be plenty on the tape to learn from
- 13:08Speaker 8: and I know, you know, I need to get better.
- 13:10Speaker 8: So it's not necessarily satisfied, but definitely believing. And I
- 13:14Speaker 8: know that these guys, all our guys out here, are
- 13:16Speaker 8: getting better every day and that's what we're working towards.
- 13:19Speaker 2: Thank Trevor Lawrence reflecting after joint practice with the Panthers,
- 13:22Speaker 2: we've swapped out John Oser. Your eyes are not playing
- 13:24Speaker 2: a trick on you. Our good friend Reese from JAG's
- 13:26Speaker 2: UK is with us. You come over for training camp
- 13:29Speaker 2: a lot, but this was a fun one to come
- 13:30Speaker 2: to a joint practice.
- 13:31Speaker 7: Reese, well, this one's awesome. I've never come to a
- 13:33Speaker 7: joint practice before. You know what, I've never actually been
- 13:36Speaker 7: to a Jaguars game in Jacksonville, so this is my first.
- 13:42Speaker 4: And you're going to see the stadium in a completely
- 13:43Speaker 4: different line.
- 13:46Speaker 1: Based off that we're we're in construction phase.
- 13:48Speaker 7: Still, Well, we did a toll, Yeah, yesterday and I
- 13:51Speaker 7: was saying to the team, how, how the heck did
- 13:54Speaker 7: you manage to pull this off? How is there a
- 13:57Speaker 7: game here with everything going on? And how they managed to.
- 14:01Speaker 4: Do years of planning.
- 14:02Speaker 5: I mean, they are so tightly organized on this project
- 14:05Speaker 5: so as to stay on target and to stay on budget.
- 14:08Speaker 4: But it's a massive lift to.
- 14:10Speaker 5: Play games in this stadium, so much so that most people,
- 14:13Speaker 5: and we've dealt with this, didn't know we were playing
- 14:16Speaker 5: here this year, right, And they're like, oh, you guys
- 14:19Speaker 5: are in our land.
- 14:19Speaker 4: Of new Now.
- 14:20Speaker 5: Now now we're playing here, You're going to get a
- 14:21Speaker 5: chance to see the stadium from a completely different perspective.
- 14:25Speaker 5: But hats off to everybody on that construction project, because
- 14:28Speaker 5: to pull it off, to safely get people in and
- 14:30Speaker 5: out expeditiously perhaps right, get him in and out in
- 14:34Speaker 5: a reasonable manner, and have an NFL football game in
- 14:36Speaker 5: there and all that steal and construction going on around it,
- 14:40Speaker 5: it's a big.
- 14:40Speaker 7: Lift something, it's something, Reese.
- 14:43Speaker 1: There was a ton of people out there yesterday, a
- 14:44Speaker 1: lot going on.
- 14:45Speaker 2: But you've got Travis Hunter's field goal, and now he's
- 14:48Speaker 2: not only playing on often the defense, he might be
- 14:50Speaker 2: a part of special teams at this point.
- 14:52Speaker 7: So we were trying to do like a day in
- 14:53Speaker 7: the live video, especially for the UK fans, like what
- 14:56Speaker 7: it's like, especially when those are doing practice so kind
- 14:58Speaker 7: of in the sidelines and the social teams like, oh
- 15:00Speaker 7: use his fine, So I take the phone and I'm like,
- 15:03Speaker 7: why is Travis walking over.
- 15:04Speaker 4: To cam little?
- 15:05Speaker 7: What's going on here? And then Travis I didn't even
- 15:07Speaker 7: know he was a left FOOTO. He had two attempts
- 15:10Speaker 7: which didn't get caught on camera, which we don't need
- 15:12Speaker 7: to speak about loss of times. They called warm ups, Yeah,
- 15:14Speaker 7: warm ups exactly, and then he hit like a what
- 15:16Speaker 7: twenty eight twenty eight He was about twenty eight yards
- 15:19Speaker 7: and then he did the Donald southwards and we caught
- 15:21Speaker 7: it on camera. But that was amazing. Maybe he is
- 15:24Speaker 7: a three way player.
- 15:25Speaker 5: Listen when you watch him, just move the way he walks,
- 15:28Speaker 5: the way he runs. He's built differently. I mean, they're
- 15:32Speaker 5: just athletically. There's very little he can't do. We did
- 15:35Speaker 5: surprise you that you know he could do that. He
- 15:37Speaker 5: could dug a bu basketball and no probably get a
- 15:40Speaker 5: home run if he gave him the baseball back. Yep,
- 15:42Speaker 5: he's just built differently.
- 15:43Speaker 7: Yeah, but we got on camera, so it's on the
- 15:46Speaker 7: Jacks UK social page if you haven't seen it already.
- 15:48Speaker 1: Very good work. I saw that last. I saw it yesterday.
- 15:51Speaker 2: I saw the back end of it at practice because
- 15:53Speaker 2: I saw everyone cheering and I was like, hmm, but
- 15:55Speaker 2: then yes, it was fun to see that for sure.
- 15:57Speaker 2: And Reese were coming back for two games this year
- 16:00Speaker 2: in London. Kind of last year got off track, but
- 16:02Speaker 2: had been going for a couple of games and I
- 16:04Speaker 2: know the UK fans always love that and we love
- 16:06Speaker 2: that trip as well.
- 16:07Speaker 7: Yeah, I mean for us it's like, as you can imagine,
- 16:10Speaker 7: it's it's like Christmas to have two games as well,
- 16:14Speaker 7: especially the teams that we're playing. I feel like the
- 16:16Speaker 7: Eagles is going to be a crazy game, just to
- 16:19Speaker 7: have those fans in London with us as the Jags,
- 16:21Speaker 7: and then a Wembley against the Texans. And I've been
- 16:24Speaker 7: speaking to a lot of the players and I'm like,
- 16:26Speaker 7: is it a little bit more spicy that it's a
- 16:28Speaker 7: divisional team it's the Texans? Does it make it more
- 16:30Speaker 7: And they're like, yeah, you know, those games exactly, but
- 16:33Speaker 7: to have that in London as well for US fans
- 16:36Speaker 7: I think it's going to feel even closer to what
- 16:38Speaker 7: it would be like to come to a game here
- 16:40Speaker 7: in terms of atmosphere, in terms of rivalry.
- 16:43Speaker 5: So that's one or two games against those guys, and
- 16:47Speaker 5: those two might decide the division title. You don't know,
- 16:49Speaker 5: you gun see other thing plays out, but those games
- 16:51Speaker 5: against the Texans are incredibly significant for.
- 16:53Speaker 4: This football team. Yeah, because that's who you chase or
- 16:55Speaker 4: that's who's chasing you this year.
- 16:57Speaker 7: And I always feel like the London games comes at
- 16:59Speaker 7: such an intro some time for the team because it
- 17:01Speaker 7: tends to We've had years before where the London games
- 17:04Speaker 7: turn the season around, you know, and then we've gone
- 17:07Speaker 7: on a run, right, So I mean, I'm not taking
- 17:09Speaker 7: credit as London's the reason that we're going on a run.
- 17:11Speaker 7: Definitely not doing trophy or something we can it's all us.
- 17:15Speaker 4: Basically, it's going back here on the shop. We'll make
- 17:16Speaker 4: sure you leave.
- 17:17Speaker 7: Yeah, thanks, right, but yeah, it's it's huge for us.
- 17:20Speaker 7: You know, we love it, you know, the atmosphere, and
- 17:23Speaker 7: over the years, I feel like a lot of the
- 17:25Speaker 7: players realize this as well. Maybe about ten years ago,
- 17:28Speaker 7: it was every single jersey that you'd see in Wembley.
- 17:32Speaker 7: Now it's like, oh wow, there's like that sections Jags,
- 17:35Speaker 7: that sections Jags. So it really does feel like our
- 17:38Speaker 7: home team for us, you know, and these.
- 17:39Speaker 2: Are both home games for us as well, so that
- 17:42Speaker 2: it'll be important to get victories in those. And I
- 17:45Speaker 2: know you're here doing some stuff for till Talk, the
- 17:47Speaker 2: podcast you host her every week.
- 17:49Speaker 1: And who are you chatting with while you're here?
- 17:51Speaker 7: Yeah, so we've so far we spoke to Jarry and Jones,
- 17:55Speaker 7: Trevon Walker on this very couch in about I think
- 17:59Speaker 7: an hour, an hour and a half, Trevor Lawrence, there
- 18:01Speaker 7: you go, and Josh Haines Allen as well. So yeah,
- 18:05Speaker 7: they're bringing out the positions they usually treat us. They
- 18:09Speaker 7: usually treat us. It's just how how long Trevor and
- 18:12Speaker 7: Josh take the shower is basically it's basically going to
- 18:15Speaker 7: be the time that we interview. Yeah, yeah, let's see.
- 18:18Speaker 4: I will not weigh in on that.
- 18:20Speaker 2: We'll comment from us, but of course all of our
- 18:23Speaker 2: friends in the UK and I really can check that out.
- 18:24Speaker 1: Till You'll Talk the podcast.
- 18:25Speaker 2: Comes out every week and we so appreciate you joining
- 18:28Speaker 2: us to say for an extra segment and we'll tell
- 18:29Speaker 2: you what's coming up the rest of the week.
- 18:39Speaker 9: What's mheh, that's some of the best stuff miked up
- 19:19Speaker 9: so far training gave.
- 19:20Speaker 2: If you haven't checked that out, it's on daguars dot
- 19:21Speaker 2: com Daguars YouTube page, and it's always fun to listen
- 19:25Speaker 2: and to see what they're doing out there.
- 19:26Speaker 4: More quick.
- 19:27Speaker 2: We had a lot of it's not airable, to be fair,
- 19:30Speaker 2: it's a lot of beep beep beeps, but it's always entertaining.
- 19:33Speaker 5: I gotta said, you guys did such a great job
- 19:35Speaker 5: you always do hosting American football in London.
- 19:39Speaker 4: How did we do with the World Cup? A great question,
- 19:43Speaker 4: Thank you very much. I listened.
- 19:44Speaker 5: I was cheering for England once the US was knocked out,
- 19:46Speaker 5: I was cheering for your boys. Okay, well we had
- 19:49Speaker 5: to return the favor. We appreciate that, no problem. I
- 19:51Speaker 5: think you guys did very good. I kind of wasn't
- 19:53Speaker 5: expecting that.
- 19:54Speaker 4: I like to keep you off.
- 19:55Speaker 7: I'm gonna be honest. The red card situation is tough. Eh.
- 20:01Speaker 7: That can with you guys. I feel like you've got
- 20:02Speaker 7: a little bit eazy, you got a little bit easy
- 20:04Speaker 7: home cooking home. I think definitely home cooking. Yeah, but
- 20:10Speaker 7: I feel you did a great job. I have my
- 20:13Speaker 7: Scottish friends who well, I say, I have two Scottish friends.
- 20:16Speaker 7: My two Scottish friends were like, Boston is our new home.
- 20:20Speaker 7: How the fans did that? And then I feel like
- 20:22Speaker 7: you guys embraced Norway like.
- 20:25Speaker 4: The hard not to that whole rowing thing in Times Square.
- 20:29Speaker 5: It was it was so much fun and as someone
- 20:31Speaker 5: who only tangentially followed football soccer, I really enjoyed it.
- 20:37Speaker 5: I found it didn't matter who was on right when
- 20:40Speaker 5: that Cape Verde Islands group was playing.
- 20:42Speaker 4: I mean I was in watching. I enjoyed it.
- 20:45Speaker 5: It was great to have the world here and and
- 20:48Speaker 5: I figured we had to return the favor.
- 20:49Speaker 7: And what's going to be super interesting is I feel
- 20:51Speaker 7: like now you're gonna have a bunch of kids that
- 20:54Speaker 7: that World Cup being here just like you guys should
- 20:57Speaker 7: be one of the best teams when you think about
- 20:58Speaker 7: the talent pool, the athleticism that the kids in this
- 21:01Speaker 7: country have. It'll be interesting to see how big of
- 21:04Speaker 7: a difference it made. But yeah, we will bring it
- 21:07Speaker 7: home one day, just not cleo. Yeah sixty six sixty six, Yeah,
- 21:12Speaker 7: it's amazing.
- 21:13Speaker 5: Yeah, sounds like a clothing label.
- 21:18Speaker 7: Yeah, I'll take it.
- 21:19Speaker 2: Reese, is your first American football game here?
- 21:21Speaker 1: Yeah, what are you most excited about? I know it's
- 21:23Speaker 1: a little bit in flux right now, but yeah.
- 21:25Speaker 7: So I know, like, you know, I'm sure for you guys,
- 21:28Speaker 7: it's like it's pre season. It's yah cool. Cool. But
- 21:33Speaker 7: just being in the stadium seeing the other fans like
- 21:36Speaker 7: it was, I didn't It's got to sounds stupid, but
- 21:39Speaker 7: I didn't realize that the joint practice yesterday, I was like,
- 21:42Speaker 7: how similar is this to a game? Is it really
- 21:44Speaker 7: going to be that physical? It was like it was
- 21:46Speaker 7: like three four fights. Okay, these boys are It's not like,
- 21:51Speaker 7: oh yeah, no, it's I'm still proving myself, you know.
- 21:54Speaker 7: So I feel like it's going to still be a game.
- 21:58Speaker 7: And I love the fact that there's a lot of
- 21:59Speaker 7: player I love those players that are playing for something
- 22:02Speaker 7: like I've got to get my contracts. I'm a rookie.
- 22:04Speaker 7: I haven't even been drafted. This is my charms, imund
- 22:06Speaker 7: that one play for my highlight tape. So there's a
- 22:09Speaker 7: lot that means something still to even those players.
- 22:12Speaker 5: Just look back a week right you had the Saints.
- 22:14Speaker 5: It was the preseason opener, which generally is a little
- 22:17Speaker 5: rougher because you've got a lot of younger players.
- 22:18Speaker 4: You had all younger players.
- 22:19Speaker 5: The second half was as much fun as we've had
- 22:21Speaker 5: in the preseason since camp Little hit the seventy yard
- 22:23Speaker 5: field goal last year.
- 22:25Speaker 7: Yeah, and I feel like Coach Cohen held back a
- 22:28Speaker 7: little bit in the locker. I was thinking, he's not
- 22:30Speaker 7: gonna start this early. We've given a you kind of like,
- 22:34Speaker 7: just well done, guys got out. So I'm super excited, though,
- 22:39Speaker 7: super excited like this, I've waited for this for you know,
- 22:42Speaker 7: since I'm be a Judge fans, So yeah, I'm super pumped.
- 22:45Speaker 2: We hope you fully enjoy it and enjoy the rest
- 22:47Speaker 2: of your trip, and Jags fans, you get to be
- 22:49Speaker 2: back in the building this weekend as well preseason game two.
- 22:52Speaker 2: It's gonna be on Friday. Who Got You covered on
- 22:54Speaker 2: radio and on air, so check it out and then
- 22:56Speaker 2: we'll be back on Monday for Jags Am to recap
- 22:58Speaker 2: it off
