- 0:21Speaker 2: You're listening to Fox Sports Radio.
- 0:30Speaker 3: I am tarnishing his school's impeccable reputation just by sitting
- 0:36Speaker 3: here doing a radio show. Jeff Passing is with us.
- 0:40Speaker 3: He graduated here from Syracuse. This is a very nice school.
- 0:45Speaker 3: It's a school Jeff, that I feel like I don't
- 0:47Speaker 3: really belong being in. And if I had this equipment
- 0:50Speaker 3: growing up, you know, and actually had some training in this,
- 0:53Speaker 3: perhaps I would be better. If I attended the New
- 0:55Speaker 3: House School broadcasting, I'd be pretty good at this. I mean,
- 0:58Speaker 3: this place is amazing.
- 0:59Speaker 4: Jeff.
- 1:02Speaker 5: Well, on one hand, you've made a career out of
- 1:05Speaker 5: defiling things, so this is kind of far for the course.
- 1:10Speaker 5: But beyond that, beyond that, you have contributed in the
- 1:15Speaker 5: neighborhood of three hundred and fifty thousand dollars over the
- 1:18Speaker 5: last four years university, so I think you can.
- 1:22Speaker 6: Do whatever you want right now.
- 1:24Speaker 5: I think you can make a mockery, smash a window,
- 1:27Speaker 5: go in graffiti all over the place, you know, cross
- 1:30Speaker 5: out Tariko, crossout Costas.
- 1:33Speaker 6: I am eagle whatever. Yes, you've earned it.
- 1:37Speaker 7: So thank you. I appreciate it.
- 1:39Speaker 6: Permission.
- 1:39Speaker 3: At least, yes, listen, I bought my way into the
- 1:41Speaker 3: New House School of Broadcasting through my daughter. But like
- 1:45Speaker 3: McDonough was on earlier and he was making the joke
- 1:47Speaker 3: congratulations of getting that bill off of your expense sheet.
- 1:54Speaker 5: I mean, it's listen, I'm starting next year, so I
- 1:57Speaker 5: understand completely.
- 1:59Speaker 6: And here's the thing.
- 2:00Speaker 5: You had a Division one athlete too, so at very
- 2:05Speaker 5: least I would hope that some of that was taking
- 2:08Speaker 5: care of my kids go into D three. So I
- 2:11Speaker 5: have the combination of playing sports but getting no benefit
- 2:16Speaker 5: out of it. So yeah, I'm ninety k in the
- 2:18Speaker 5: whole every year for the next four years and not looking.
- 2:22Speaker 6: Forward to it.
- 2:23Speaker 3: Enjoy it, buddy, I love the podcast. I texted you
- 2:26Speaker 3: earlier this week. Sources tell Jeff pass it it's a
- 2:28Speaker 3: great name for your podcast.
- 2:30Speaker 4: Are you enjoying it?
- 2:33Speaker 6: I'm loving it, man, Like it's it's hard doing what
- 2:36Speaker 6: you do. That's that's what I'm figuring out.
- 2:39Speaker 5: Like we're treating this like a weekly television show. And
- 2:45Speaker 5: you know, being as involved as I am with more
- 2:50Speaker 5: or less everything, I did not understand the second full
- 2:54Speaker 5: time job I.
- 2:55Speaker 6: Was going to be taking on.
- 2:56Speaker 5: But it's it's, you know, my job at ESPN, My
- 3:02Speaker 5: main job is often reacting to, or at least chasing
- 3:08Speaker 5: down something that's happening.
- 3:11Speaker 6: It's a passive endeavor doing a show like this.
- 3:16Speaker 5: It's creating something and it's coming up with ideas that
- 3:19Speaker 5: you hope we're going to be interesting and compelling and
- 3:22Speaker 5: seeing them from start to finish.
- 3:24Speaker 6: And that's not something I've done before.
- 3:27Speaker 5: So it's been an absolute blast and I'm not sleeping
- 3:31Speaker 5: at all.
- 3:31Speaker 8: In love and every minute of it a pass it endeavor.
- 3:35Speaker 4: I knew it was coming. The filling of time is hard.
- 3:39Speaker 3: Me and Balboni Jones laugh about this all the time,
- 3:42Speaker 3: just how hard it is to do this now that
- 3:43Speaker 3: we're patting ourselves on the back. But it originates our
- 3:47Speaker 3: conversation from a story on Radio Row where Travis Hunter
- 3:51Speaker 3: was trying to launch a podcast during Super Bowl Week
- 3:54Speaker 3: on Radio Row and Balmani walked past him had somehow
- 3:57Speaker 3: struck up a conversation with him, and he said, man,
- 4:00Speaker 3: what you do for a living is really hard, and
- 4:02Speaker 3: that guy plays football for a living.
- 4:04Speaker 5: Jeff, Yeah, that guy plays football and he plays cornerback
- 4:10Speaker 5: and wide receivers.
- 4:11Speaker 2: So he plays.
- 4:12Speaker 6: Football at like the Otani level. Yes, and he's having
- 4:16Speaker 6: a tough time.
- 4:17Speaker 5: But Monni Jones is also the person who, among everybody
- 4:21Speaker 5: in our industry, I have great faith could talk uninterrupted
- 4:26Speaker 5: and pull off like a twenty hour filibuster.
- 4:29Speaker 6: On Capitol Hill if he needed to. Bos never had
- 4:32Speaker 6: a difficult time filling air, has.
- 4:34Speaker 4: He No, I've heard him do that. Actually, he's never
- 4:39Speaker 4: had trouble.
- 4:40Speaker 3: Now, Taylor, this is interesting, so I am not certain
- 4:44Speaker 3: we've discussed this with you. Taylor is such a big
- 4:48Speaker 3: Yankee fan, and Cam Schlitzler is having such a great
- 4:51Speaker 3: year that he has said on record on national radio
- 4:54Speaker 3: Jeff Passion that he would not trade camp straight up
- 4:57Speaker 3: for Paul Skeins.
- 4:58Speaker 4: How do you feel about.
- 4:59Speaker 8: That, Jeff, I said it before the season too.
- 5:02Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 5:04Speaker 5: Well, I think you were stupid before the season as
- 5:06Speaker 5: well as But this is right. I text you, here's
- 5:14Speaker 5: the thing you could name just about any other pitcher
- 5:18Speaker 5: and I would actually agree with you. Cam Schlitzler is awesome.
- 5:23Speaker 5: Paul Skins is just on another level. And with Trek
- 5:26Speaker 5: Scoogle out right now, I think Paul Skins is unequivocally, undoubtedly,
- 5:31Speaker 5: without any competition, the best pitcher in baseball going right now.
- 5:35Speaker 5: But to me, the most interesting part of Cam Schlitzler
- 5:40Speaker 5: speaks to what the New York Yankees have been able
- 5:43Speaker 5: to do. And for a long time, the Yankees had
- 5:45Speaker 5: a difficult time growing pitching internally. You know, they would
- 5:50Speaker 5: have guys who had decent strikeout rates in the minor leagues,
- 5:53Speaker 5: other teams want to trade for him, but once they
- 5:55Speaker 5: got to the big league level, they were just like
- 5:57Speaker 5: you know, clertch Bit was good, got hurt Will Warren
- 6:01Speaker 5: last year wasn't a whole lot, gave up that monster
- 6:04Speaker 5: Grand Slam to Vlad Guerrero and the playoffs that knocked
- 6:07Speaker 5: the Yankees out. But a dominant like frontline starter. It's
- 6:12Speaker 5: been a long time since the Yankees did that. Even
- 6:15Speaker 5: Luis Heel, you know, going and winning Rookie of the
- 6:18Speaker 5: Year couldn't nab a rotation spot this season. So to
- 6:22Speaker 5: see Schlittler go from drafted and throwing eighty eight to
- 6:26Speaker 5: ninety miles per hour to a guy who now sits
- 6:29Speaker 5: ninety seven to ninety nine will.
- 6:31Speaker 6: Hit triple digits regularly.
- 6:34Speaker 5: He's awesome and he's part of the reason that the
- 6:36Speaker 5: Yankees are the overwhelming favorites in the American League right now,
- 6:40Speaker 5: because not only are they doing this with the staff
- 6:42Speaker 5: they've got now, but Carlos Redon's coming back this weekend.
- 6:45Speaker 5: Garrett Cole's not far off. The Yankees are going to
- 6:48Speaker 5: get better, and that is a scary thing for the
- 6:51Speaker 5: rest of.
- 6:51Speaker 8: The Al Jeff on the topic of Yankee prospects. The
- 6:54Speaker 8: Yankees are calling up Spencer Jones. Yankee fans have heard
- 6:57Speaker 8: a ton about him. They're already comparing him to Aaron Judge.
- 7:00Speaker 8: They're putting the number side by side to what they
- 7:03Speaker 8: did in the minor leagues. What do you think are
- 7:06Speaker 8: fair expectations for Jones as he makes his MLB debut.
- 7:11Speaker 5: Spencer Jones is going to hit home runs, I think
- 7:13Speaker 5: that much. We know he is six foot seven and
- 7:16Speaker 5: two hundred and forty pounds in an absolute unit and
- 7:19Speaker 5: has a beautiful left handed swing. That being said, the
- 7:22Speaker 5: reason that Aaron Judge has managed to become the best
- 7:26Speaker 5: hitter in Major League baseball over the past few seasons
- 7:30Speaker 5: is because he has cut down on the swing and
- 7:33Speaker 5: miss and he still strikes out a fair bit. But
- 7:35Speaker 5: Spencer Jones's strikeouts have been off the charts bad, and
- 7:39Speaker 5: the fact that he's still managed to be as productive
- 7:42Speaker 5: as he has in the minor league speaks to those
- 7:45Speaker 5: other skills.
- 7:46Speaker 6: So if he can evolve.
- 7:48Speaker 5: To maybe swing and miss a little bit less, even
- 7:51Speaker 5: if he cut it down by five percent, that takes
- 7:54Speaker 5: him from big leaguer to all sar. And if his
- 7:58Speaker 5: plate discipline can get even better than that, you know,
- 8:00Speaker 5: it cuts down a strikeout rate by ten percent. Let's
- 8:03Speaker 5: say we're talking about a perennial MVP candidate. That's how
- 8:08Speaker 5: good the power is. But it's difficult to, especially when
- 8:12Speaker 5: you're in the big leagues facing better stuff than you
- 8:14Speaker 5: ever have before, to limit the strikeouts, like he's going
- 8:18Speaker 5: to need to to reach that talent that he has.
- 8:20Speaker 9: Jeff, one of my favorite adjustments to baseball over the
- 8:23Speaker 9: last several years is the elaborate dugout celebration for home runs.
- 8:28Speaker 9: And I want to ask you your favorite, because I
- 8:31Speaker 9: came across one this week of the Colorado Rockies when
- 8:34Speaker 9: they throw on that purple faux fur coat, which is
- 8:37Speaker 9: absolutely beautiful. I don't care how fake it is. That's
- 8:41Speaker 9: my favorite by far. I don't know if you have
- 8:42Speaker 9: a favorite.
- 8:44Speaker 5: I like the Blue Jays home run jacket only because
- 8:49Speaker 5: I feel like it speaks to the team and its
- 8:52Speaker 5: character and who it is more than anything. They have
- 8:55Speaker 5: the flags of all the countries that the players play
- 8:59Speaker 5: for on it. I like the Mariners triedent too, just
- 9:02Speaker 5: because it looks kind of but I'm I'm all for
- 9:06Speaker 5: dugout celebrations of any variety. Like baseball is a sport
- 9:11Speaker 5: that for so long was like the dry chicken breast
- 9:16Speaker 5: of the sports. It was unappealing and unseasoned and just
- 9:23Speaker 5: not fun at all. And it's like, we finally got
- 9:27Speaker 5: some going on here. We've got some we got some seasoning,
- 9:31Speaker 5: we got some flavor. We Baseball's needed it for a
- 9:35Speaker 5: long time. And hey, if that is, you know, pushing
- 9:38Speaker 5: a cart through the dugout, wearing a helmet in the dugout,
- 9:42Speaker 5: a faux purple coat, or any of the other celebrations, I'm.
- 9:47Speaker 6: Here for it.
- 9:49Speaker 10: Jeff Stu was very quick to throw out sorry. Stu
- 9:55Speaker 10: was very quick to throw out Taylor's terrible trade idea.
- 9:59Speaker 10: So let me ask one of Stu's terrible ideas. If
- 10:02Speaker 10: Derek Jeter had come up with the Pirates, He's not
- 10:06Speaker 10: He's not Derek Jeter, as Stu would say, yes, yes,
- 10:10Speaker 10: I agree, you'll get at it.
- 10:15Speaker 9: He went as far as saying that Derek Jeter is
- 10:18Speaker 9: in the right place, right time, Hall of Fame, which
- 10:20Speaker 9: I think is a bit much.
- 10:23Speaker 5: I agree that's a bit much. I just don't think
- 10:26Speaker 5: he's Derek Jeter. I think he's more like Bobby Witt,
- 10:29Speaker 5: which is that you are not appreciated nearly as much
- 10:33Speaker 5: when you're not in one of those huge markets.
- 10:36Speaker 6: I think that's a reasonable thing.
- 10:38Speaker 5: And I don't know that Derek Jeter is going to
- 10:41Speaker 5: be less of a player, but I'll say this, I
- 10:44Speaker 5: think Derek Jeter is going to get fewer opportunities in
- 10:47Speaker 5: that situation to do the sorts of historic things that
- 10:51Speaker 5: we remember him for. And so I do think time
- 10:54Speaker 5: and place matter with guys, and I think ignoring the
- 10:58Speaker 5: idea that one franchise is going to be a more
- 11:01Speaker 5: ideal fit and part of what made Derek Jeter as
- 11:05Speaker 5: great as he was, guys, was the fact that he
- 11:08Speaker 5: could survive the snake pit that can be New York
- 11:11Speaker 5: sports and emerge not just you know, with with his
- 11:15Speaker 5: full health and with his full production, but having benefited
- 11:20Speaker 5: from it and having been a part of it. I
- 11:23Speaker 5: think that you put Derek Jeter into Pittsburgh and the
- 11:26Speaker 5: full Derek jeterness of him just never is is brought
- 11:30Speaker 5: to the forefront.
- 11:33Speaker 6: He's still he's still a great player. Don't get me wrong,
- 11:35Speaker 6: He's great wherever he is.
- 11:37Speaker 5: But the level that he's at I think was in
- 11:41Speaker 5: I'm not going to say in large part, but certainly
- 11:43Speaker 5: in part because he was a Yankee, and I think
- 11:45Speaker 5: he would probably say that too.
- 11:47Speaker 3: Yep, you see what's happening here, guys. Us new house guys.
- 11:50Speaker 3: We stick together, we do. That's that's a couple of
- 11:54Speaker 3: new house guys cutting it up.
- 11:56Speaker 4: I mean that's really you.
- 11:57Speaker 7: Can still go to school there, right, there's no like
- 11:59Speaker 7: age limit. I want to go back with you. He's right,
- 12:05Speaker 7: I'm right, Taylor, go ahead and Tailor, do you.
- 12:08Speaker 6: Think they would accept him? What was your what was
- 12:10Speaker 6: your sat?
- 12:13Speaker 4: What? What's an sat?
- 12:16Speaker 2: His saturdays?
- 12:21Speaker 7: The score?
- 12:21Speaker 4: Like you know, like a ninety two eighteen olls.
- 12:25Speaker 6: All right, sounds sounds it sounds very accurate.
- 12:28Speaker 7: I have a soft spot.
- 12:29Speaker 8: I have a soft spot in my heart for the
- 12:30Speaker 8: Chicago Cubs team because if you go to summer in
- 12:33Speaker 8: Wrigley Field, it's unbelievable. Is this Cubs team built to
- 12:38Speaker 8: win in the postseason? Because I know they're off to
- 12:40Speaker 8: a great start, but when you look at this team,
- 12:43Speaker 8: it doesn't really feel like they have the pitching, although
- 12:45Speaker 8: they're great on defense almost across the board, and they
- 12:49Speaker 8: do have players that could put the ball.
- 12:51Speaker 9: I'm glad you have to preface that with them having
- 12:52Speaker 9: a soft spot in your heart.
- 12:54Speaker 8: Because I want the Cubs success.
- 12:56Speaker 4: It was necessary.
- 12:57Speaker 5: Yes, it's a perfectly reasonable question because I think they
- 13:01Speaker 5: are an excellent regular season team. They are one through
- 13:06Speaker 5: nine in that lineup. It reminds me somewhat of the
- 13:09Speaker 5: Blue Jays last year, where they have guys who have
- 13:12Speaker 5: slug but they also can put the ball in play,
- 13:16Speaker 5: and they are deep, and it's tough to pitch that lineup.
- 13:19Speaker 5: You know, when peek Row Armstrong, who hit thirty home
- 13:23Speaker 5: runs last year is hittingn ethan your lineup like, you know,
- 13:25Speaker 5: you run deep and the defense. I do not want
- 13:28Speaker 5: to undersell that one bit. It's the best defense in baseball.
- 13:32Speaker 5: They are so solid everywhere across the diamond, but especially
- 13:36Speaker 5: up the middle with Pca and center field, Dansby Swanson
- 13:39Speaker 5: at short, Nico Horner at second.
- 13:41Speaker 6: Like it's a really good team.
- 13:43Speaker 5: But the pitching issues warranted, fair understandable, And that's what
- 13:48Speaker 5: concerns me about the Cubs because let's think about who
- 13:51Speaker 5: they're going to have.
- 13:52Speaker 6: To go up against in the postseason.
- 13:54Speaker 5: If it's the Dodgers, you've got Yamamoto and Otani and
- 13:59Speaker 5: Snell and Glass now not fun to face. And frankly,
- 14:04Speaker 5: the number one pitcher for the Cubs, whether it's Matt
- 14:08Speaker 5: Boyd coming back from knee surgery or show Toy Minaga,
- 14:11Speaker 5: I don't even know if they make.
- 14:12Speaker 6: The top four of the Dodgers.
- 14:14Speaker 5: And I'm not sure that the Cubs bullpen at this point, frankly,
- 14:18Speaker 5: is deep enough. Because you can navigate a postseason without
- 14:22Speaker 5: a whole lot of starting pitching. We've seen the Houston
- 14:25Speaker 5: Astros do that before, we saw the Dodgers do that
- 14:28Speaker 5: a couple of years ago.
- 14:30Speaker 6: You don't need like all.
- 14:31Speaker 5: Of this frontline pitching to find success. But if you
- 14:35Speaker 5: don't have that, you better have a damn good bullpen.
- 14:37Speaker 5: And the Cubs bullpen at this point, it's it's fine,
- 14:41Speaker 5: is it good?
- 14:42Speaker 6: I wouldn't put it up there yet.
- 14:44Speaker 4: Jeff, I failed.
- 14:45Speaker 7: I'm sorry good.
- 14:46Speaker 3: I was gonna say I failed us here because we
- 14:48Speaker 3: were talking about schemes for Cam straight up, and you
- 14:52Speaker 3: know Collin's audience. They miss Colin today, and so we
- 14:55Speaker 3: have Collins thoughts. Ai Collins thoughts on schemes for Schlip
- 15:00Speaker 3: straight up? Go ahead, Ai, colleague.
- 15:02Speaker 11: A one for one swap makes no sense for the
- 15:04Speaker 11: Yankees because Cam Schlittler is already pitching like a frontline
- 15:07Speaker 11: Ace five and one, a one to fifty two earned
- 15:10Speaker 11: run average, fifty three strikeouts, and a zero eighty seven
- 15:13Speaker 11: whip and you're not paying the new toy tax to
- 15:16Speaker 11: get it. Paul Skeens is a monster reigning National League
- 15:20Speaker 11: Cy Young and he's dealing again two thirty six earned
- 15:23Speaker 11: run average, forty six strikeouts in forty two innings. But
- 15:26Speaker 11: if your guy is already in that neighborhood, you keep
- 15:28Speaker 11: the extra year of control and the organizational stability. Also
- 15:33Speaker 11: trading your own ace in the making for another Ace
- 15:35Speaker 11: doesn't fix the stuff that usually breaks October teams, defense,
- 15:39Speaker 11: situational hitting, bullpen volatility. So yes, Skeens is the headline,
- 15:44Speaker 11: but Schlitzler is the smart money.
- 15:49Speaker 7: It doesn't even know what to do with that. Okay,
- 15:54Speaker 7: you heard none of it? None of it?
- 15:57Speaker 4: Oh you couldn't hear it.
- 15:58Speaker 7: You could hear Ai colinrade no idea. I mean, why
- 16:02Speaker 7: did anyone tell me?
- 16:04Speaker 11: So?
- 16:04Speaker 9: You guys act like fool Yeah, Jess, you should just
- 16:07Speaker 9: know that Ailin entirely agreed with Taylor.
- 16:10Speaker 3: So listen, Ai, it's listen. It's one thing for CC Sabathia,
- 16:14Speaker 3: who actually came on our show and agreed with Taylor. Okay,
- 16:18Speaker 3: he got caught up in the moment. He's a Yankee guy.
- 16:20Speaker 3: You want to upset camp, all right, But Ai Colin
- 16:24Speaker 3: also just disagreed with me and you two new House
- 16:26Speaker 3: guys and agreed with Taylor.
- 16:28Speaker 7: How about that?
- 16:29Speaker 4: Huh?
- 16:31Speaker 5: Honestly, it makes me feel good. I don't want to
- 16:33Speaker 5: do you know how often AI is wrong? Like all
- 16:38Speaker 5: of us have used AI in some form or fashion,
- 16:41Speaker 5: and do we ever step away from it thinking, you know,
- 16:44Speaker 5: that was a pleasant experience. I really feel like Ai
- 16:48Speaker 5: answered my question. No, they answer a question in a
- 16:53Speaker 5: terrifyingly like pleasant manner. They say, oh that that's a
- 16:59Speaker 5: good you know, that's a great that's a good premise
- 17:01Speaker 5: that you have. Know they get things wrong all the time.
- 17:05Speaker 5: If we are leaning on AI for baseball analysis, then
- 17:09Speaker 5: we have lost the plot.
- 17:10Speaker 9: Gentlemen, are you saying AI likes the guest like people?
- 17:13Speaker 9: Because I don't believe that.
- 17:16Speaker 6: No, of course not. Of course, why would it ever
- 17:18Speaker 6: do that?
- 17:19Speaker 3: Come on, I went pass it on this, But again,
- 17:22Speaker 3: we went to the same school, so I mean I
- 17:24Speaker 3: have his back.
- 17:25Speaker 4: He has probably back.
- 17:26Speaker 3: I am so glad that someone finally alerted me because
- 17:29Speaker 3: we were about to play a game which requires you
- 17:32Speaker 3: hearing imaging.
- 17:33Speaker 4: And I am so thrilled that.
- 17:34Speaker 3: Someone finally figured out that passing can't hear any sound
- 17:38Speaker 3: that's being fired off from Sherman Oaks or Miami.
- 17:41Speaker 7: How about that?
- 17:42Speaker 4: Let me ask you.
- 17:43Speaker 6: I I'll tell you this, I heard the back end
- 17:45Speaker 6: of it.
- 17:46Speaker 5: So if we want to try it one more time,
- 17:48Speaker 5: by all means, I would love to have a conversation
- 17:50Speaker 5: with Ai.
- 17:51Speaker 6: This is right.
- 17:51Speaker 4: Well, hold on, I.
- 17:52Speaker 3: Thought my day was going to get Let's ask let's
- 17:55Speaker 3: see if you could hear this Ai Collins thoughts on
- 17:57Speaker 3: whether or not the Dodgers, the La Dodge they you know,
- 18:02Speaker 3: they have a dynasty going on, and they're I've I
- 18:05Speaker 3: have questioned whether or not they're good for baseball.
- 18:07Speaker 4: Let's see if Ai Colin agrees with me.
- 18:11Speaker 11: No, the Los Angeles Dodgers aren't bad for baseball.
- 18:14Speaker 8: They're gasoline on the fire.
- 18:16Speaker 11: When you've got a monster brand that travels well and
- 18:18Speaker 11: everybody wants to beat, it gives the sport a villain,
- 18:21Speaker 11: a measuring stick, and a reason to watch on a
- 18:23Speaker 11: random Tuesday night. What's bad for baseball is the deadweight
- 18:26Speaker 11: franchises that don't spend, don't develop, and don't try. Those
- 18:30Speaker 11: teams drain the energy out of the whole league. So
- 18:34Speaker 11: let the Dodgers be great and let everybody else chase them.
- 18:39Speaker 4: Did you hear it?
- 18:41Speaker 6: I did? I did hear that.
- 18:42Speaker 5: I didn't realize that, Uh, that that Ai column was
- 18:46Speaker 5: part of the Democratic Socialists of America.
- 18:48Speaker 7: Wow, that was that was quite.
- 18:50Speaker 6: A thing right there.
- 18:55Speaker 12: I mean, it's like, here's the thing you're gonna see
- 18:58Speaker 12: this over the next year, is the labor negotiation plays
- 19:01Speaker 12: out Collective bargaining agreement of December first, there's almost certainly
- 19:06Speaker 12: going to be a lockout, and there are very pro
- 19:10Speaker 12: labor sects of the fan base that essentially made the
- 19:14Speaker 12: argument that AI Colin.
- 19:16Speaker 6: Made right there, and there's some validity to it.
- 19:19Speaker 5: Actually, I think the Dodgers are good in the same
- 19:22Speaker 5: way that the Yankees were good back in the nineteen nineties.
- 19:25Speaker 5: It is a measuring stick. It's something that every other
- 19:29Speaker 5: team can aspire to beat, and when somebody does beat them,
- 19:33Speaker 5: it's a big deal.
- 19:34Speaker 6: So yeah, as.
- 19:36Speaker 5: Long as the Dodgers are playing within the rules, which
- 19:38Speaker 5: they are, I feel like what they're doing actually does,
- 19:42Speaker 5: as AI Colin said, expose those teams.
- 19:45Speaker 9: That are I just want to say this out loud,
- 19:46Speaker 9: because I know everything is listening. When we inevitably go
- 19:49Speaker 9: to war with our artificial intelligence. I am not on
- 19:52Speaker 9: Jeff Pesson's side on this.
- 19:53Speaker 7: I am Jeff is on his own on this one.
- 19:57Speaker 7: I got your back.
- 19:58Speaker 6: I'm fine.
- 20:00Speaker 5: Like I will admit, I'm polite to AI when I
- 20:03Speaker 5: talk to it, I ask please.
- 20:06Speaker 12: I don't know how I feel about that, but it's
- 20:09Speaker 12: just like there's this entity that's trying to help me,
- 20:13Speaker 12: and I don't want to be a turd toward it,
- 20:15Speaker 12: even though.
- 20:15Speaker 6: I know there's no humanity there.
- 20:18Speaker 5: You're just a compendium of things that all of us
- 20:21Speaker 5: have written throughout history and somehow process it into knowledge.
- 20:26Speaker 5: This like I feel like, you know, I'm like the
- 20:31Speaker 5: anti Carol Stirka. I would much rather be like Carol
- 20:35Speaker 5: and look at the machine as if it's a force
- 20:39Speaker 5: of evil.
- 20:40Speaker 6: But it's just so helpful.
- 20:42Speaker 7: Sometimes when my partner does.
- 20:44Speaker 6: Get things wrong, I'm still pleasant to it.
- 20:46Speaker 9: When my partner curses at Alexa, I get so cringey.
- 20:49Speaker 9: I'm like, oh no, why are you talking to her
- 20:51Speaker 9: like that?
- 20:54Speaker 10: Busy is selling out the human race hard in the
- 20:57Speaker 10: in the Future Wars.
- 21:01Speaker 3: All right, Jeff, We're we're glad you you could hear that,
- 21:04Speaker 3: Ai Colin, and so we hope that means you could
- 21:07Speaker 3: hear this. We're gonna play a game with you and
- 21:09Speaker 3: get you out here in just a second. It's a
- 21:10Speaker 3: game we like to call one table.
- 21:13Speaker 2: Sin who's getting it and who's getting left outside greatness
- 21:19Speaker 2: gets seated. Everyone else waits. This is one table.
- 21:26Speaker 8: So, Jeff, there's one table at the hottest restaurant in Atlanta.
- 21:31Speaker 8: Greg Maddox walks in Tom Glavin walks in and John
- 21:35Speaker 8: Smoltz walks in. Who gets the table?
- 21:38Speaker 4: That's a good question, excellent.
- 21:40Speaker 6: Who gets it or should get it?
- 21:43Speaker 3: Gets Who gets the You're running that restaurant and those
- 21:47Speaker 3: three walk in at the exact same time, you have
- 21:49Speaker 3: one table, they're with their families.
- 21:51Speaker 4: Who gets the table?
- 21:53Speaker 6: Greg Maddox all day?
- 21:55Speaker 4: Really wow?
- 21:56Speaker 6: Yeah, best best picture of the bunch.
- 22:00Speaker 5: But beyond that, Greg Maddox was the king of like
- 22:05Speaker 5: clubhouse poop jokes, and that's the kind of guy who
- 22:09Speaker 5: I want dining at my restaurant.
- 22:11Speaker 9: He was a really low talker. He used to really
- 22:13Speaker 9: tick me off. And I was in the back of
- 22:14Speaker 9: the crowd.
- 22:14Speaker 7: And he was in there tongue and his answers like this,
- 22:16Speaker 7: I think he did that on purpose.
- 22:19Speaker 6: He did.
- 22:19Speaker 5: And also you should have you should have been there earlier,
- 22:23Speaker 5: Like he'll hold your way to the front.
- 22:24Speaker 2: You're this guy.
- 22:26Speaker 7: This is how he became a hol of fay baseball writer.
- 22:28Speaker 5: Yes, you could kick the ass of ninety nine percent
- 22:32Speaker 5: of reporters. I imagine, I've seen you shirtless. It's majestic,
- 22:36Speaker 5: and like, why are you not using that to your advantage?
- 22:39Speaker 7: You're right, I should just take off my shirt. They'll
- 22:41Speaker 7: all just make room.
- 22:42Speaker 6: No what he does, he's a seable part.
- 22:45Speaker 3: No, this is he the kind of guy that will
- 22:47Speaker 3: drive you crazy, Jeff, because you're right. When he takes
- 22:49Speaker 3: his shirt off, he does look majestic. He's in better
- 22:51Speaker 3: shape than any of us will ever be. It is
- 22:54Speaker 3: he thinks he doesn't look good. He thinks he's in
- 22:56Speaker 3: bad shape. No, that's a whole different thing. Also, I
- 22:58Speaker 3: was twenty two, so I was not. Yeah, but no
- 23:03Speaker 3: one likes that guy who's in better shape that we
- 23:05Speaker 3: are and is constantly getting upset and telling everyone, Hey,
- 23:10Speaker 3: I'm not in good shape. Cincinnati. There's a restaurant in Cincinnati, Okay,
- 23:16Speaker 3: Joey Vado walks in.
- 23:18Speaker 4: Okay, the Vados.
- 23:20Speaker 3: I'm trying to think of another Cincinnati rad boy, because
- 23:23Speaker 3: if I say the Roses, you're gonna give the table
- 23:25Speaker 3: to the Roses. But people don't realize just how popular
- 23:28Speaker 3: Joey Vado is in Cincinnati.
- 23:30Speaker 4: So I'm gonna go Vados and the Roses. Who gets
- 23:34Speaker 4: the table?
- 23:35Speaker 3: Pete Rose, good player, not a good dude.
- 23:38Speaker 4: I was trying to sway him.
- 23:43Speaker 6: Well, Pete Rose isn't.
- 23:45Speaker 7: Alive, I know. I mean don't matter.
- 23:50Speaker 4: I mean just you know, you know Pete Rose and
- 23:52Speaker 4: his prime Bodo Prime.
- 23:55Speaker 8: Brought into the restaurant.
- 23:57Speaker 4: I'd be.
- 24:00Speaker 7: Pete Rose.
- 24:00Speaker 6: He would still get the table.
- 24:03Speaker 4: Dead Pete Rose still gets the table. Okay, Pete Rose,
- 24:07Speaker 4: I think yeah, I think, all right, go ahead?
- 24:09Speaker 7: Does he have no?
- 24:11Speaker 4: Oh? Really you have one?
- 24:13Speaker 7: Go ahead?
- 24:15Speaker 8: This table is in Los Angeles, Jeff, oh boy, Sandy
- 24:21Speaker 8: Kofax walks in, and sho he Otani walks in. Who
- 24:25Speaker 8: gets the table?
- 24:26Speaker 6: Oh my, I'm traveling. Oh that's a really good one.
- 24:32Speaker 11: Oh.
- 24:32Speaker 6: I think I think they give it. I think they
- 24:34Speaker 6: give it to Oani.
- 24:35Speaker 7: Wow, what what I do? He just got there?
- 24:39Speaker 6: I think they give it's la. It's la once you're
- 24:44Speaker 6: like once, you're not a thing anymore.
- 24:46Speaker 5: I know Sandy Kofax will always be a thing, but
- 24:49Speaker 5: I don't think that at restaurants. Is this my restaurant, yes,
- 24:54Speaker 5: you decide?
- 24:56Speaker 4: No, No, it's my restaurant.
- 24:58Speaker 6: It's Sandy Kofax. You're Jewish guy. If he's gonna seat
- 25:02Speaker 6: Sandy anyone, I would see Sandy kill FAC's over God himself.
- 25:07Speaker 3: Wait, so if it's your restaurant, are you allowing the
- 25:10Speaker 3: dead Pete Rose to sit in it.
- 25:14Speaker 6: I'm going there.
- 25:17Speaker 7: I don't think God was that good at baseball, all right, have.
- 25:21Speaker 5: No shirt, no shoes, no breathing, no service like we
- 25:25Speaker 5: gotta have.
- 25:26Speaker 7: That up the front.
- 25:27Speaker 3: I'm going back to New York for a second. Aaron Judge,
- 25:30Speaker 3: Derek Jeter, one table.
- 25:34Speaker 6: Derek Jeter always wow.
- 25:37Speaker 7: Derek Jeter has a Pittsburgh pirate. Probably doesn't get the take.
- 25:43Speaker 6: I think it would be Judge.
- 25:44Speaker 5: I think it would be Judge at that point, because
- 25:46Speaker 5: Derek Jeter is not Derek Jeter if he's a Pittsburgh pirate.
- 25:49Speaker 6: Yeah, you're right, Just like that, we ran out of time.
- 25:52Speaker 4: A game dead.
- 25:54Speaker 7: Pete Rose, Jeff pass it. Thank you for the time,
- 25:56Speaker 7: Get out of the here.
- 25:57Speaker 3: Check out his new podcast or wherever you get your podcast.

- 27:06Speaker 3: We will get to the polls here in just a second.
- 27:08Speaker 3: This has been a fun day filling in for Colin.
- 27:10Speaker 4: Here.
- 27:11Speaker 3: I am told that we have Christopher mad Dog russo.
- 27:14Speaker 3: Sound of him mispronouncing a name. I don't think we're
- 27:18Speaker 3: gonna be surprised by the name he mispronounces because this
- 27:22Speaker 3: is a tough name for anybody, especially Christopher mad Dog Russo,
- 27:26Speaker 3: go ahead, Taylor.
- 27:28Speaker 8: So this is a name that's given him trouble in
- 27:30Speaker 8: the past. This is Yankees ace Cam Schlitzler. This is
- 27:34Speaker 8: mad Dog trying to say it last postseason during the
- 27:37Speaker 8: wild Card round between the Yankees and Boston.
- 27:40Speaker 14: Let me start here and then we'll get into Schlitchter,
- 27:43Speaker 14: who obviously was was Schutner. It was just tremendous in
- 27:48Speaker 14: the game. Schlitzer yesterday left him in there.
- 27:52Speaker 8: So that was mad Dog last postseason.
- 27:54Speaker 3: It's all right, So you would you would think after that, Taylor,
- 27:57Speaker 3: he would never try to pronounce that last name again.
- 27:59Speaker 7: You would think three different ways right then.
- 28:02Speaker 8: It was those like cartoons like a Bugs Bunny and
- 28:05Speaker 8: the Bugs Bunny playing baseball where mad Dog swung and
- 28:08Speaker 8: missed three times at the same pitch, trying to pronounce
- 28:12Speaker 8: the name Cam Schlittler. So mad Dog, there's two ways
- 28:15Speaker 8: you could go. He's either gonna get better or he's
- 28:18Speaker 8: just gonna keep mispronouncing the word. This was him yesterday
- 28:22Speaker 8: talking about Garrett Cole coming back and him mentioning Cam
- 28:26Speaker 8: Schlitzer again.
- 28:27Speaker 14: If he comes back in any kind of form and
- 28:30Speaker 14: adding him to a staff that you know, got Cam
- 28:32Speaker 14: sheet on it, who's done very well.
- 28:35Speaker 9: We're one that's gonna be a nightmare name for his
- 28:40Speaker 9: entire career.
- 28:41Speaker 3: I mean, so he's just like he knows he has
- 28:43Speaker 3: to say the name. He can't avoid saying the name.
- 28:46Speaker 3: He has to talk Yankee Baseball, and when he talks
- 28:48Speaker 3: Yankee Baseball, occasionally he's gonna have to mention Cam's name.
- 28:52Speaker 3: I'm trying to figure out away from mad Dog to
- 28:54Speaker 3: avoid trying to pronounce his last name.
- 28:58Speaker 2: He wants the Paul Skens trades so bad.
- 29:01Speaker 6: He wants it so bad.
- 29:03Speaker 7: Just because the name heard.
- 29:04Speaker 9: For those who might not have heard the first clip,
- 29:07Speaker 9: just know that he said it without the.
- 29:08Speaker 3: L without he said exactly what you would imagine someone
- 29:13Speaker 3: would say, uh in that spot. I want to hear
- 29:15Speaker 3: the second one though, again, because we can't play the
- 29:17Speaker 3: first one. We're on live national radio, on college show.
- 29:20Speaker 3: He's got a big audience, or he had a big audience.
- 29:23Speaker 3: Let's hear the second one again.
- 29:25Speaker 14: If he comes back in any kind of form, and
- 29:28Speaker 14: adding him to a staff that you know, got Cam
- 29:31Speaker 14: sheep cheat on it, who's done very well.
- 29:35Speaker 7: I've never heard somebody so scared.
- 29:40Speaker 4: Speedball camp sheeps cheat on it.
- 29:45Speaker 8: You know what he meant?
- 29:52Speaker 3: He is dying for skiings with my key on this.
- 29:56Speaker 3: Just give me a better name, or cam change your name.
- 30:01Speaker 3: What happened with Bill Simmons, Taylor? I feel like Bill
- 30:04Speaker 3: Simmons did something that I would do. What happened here
- 30:08Speaker 3: with Bill?
- 30:09Speaker 8: So the classic move when you don't watch a game,
- 30:13Speaker 8: stuyro Yeah, you pull up the box score. You try
- 30:16Speaker 8: to tell the story, which doesn't really make sense because
- 30:19Speaker 8: when you think of Bill Simmons, do you think Bill
- 30:21Speaker 8: Simmons is watching these games? This might be just an
- 30:24Speaker 8: unfortunate situation, but the Internet again, I love Bill Simmons,
- 30:28Speaker 8: just want Yeah, let's be clear on that. The Internet
- 30:32Speaker 8: is calling him box score Bill because of this sound
- 30:35Speaker 8: from from yesterday's Lakers Thunder postgame podcast.
- 30:41Speaker 15: Let's See Chet thirty two. Mitchell played thirty, Wallace played thirty.
- 30:46Speaker 15: But you know they played ten guys. They really played
- 30:49Speaker 15: more than that, But really they have this ten man rotation.
- 30:51Speaker 15: Jaylen Williams played fourteen minutes today. He's was their second
- 30:55Speaker 15: best guy during the title run last year, and now
- 30:57Speaker 15: he's I think their third best guy, because I think
- 31:00Speaker 15: chet has officially put on the Robin Coston to batman
- 31:05Speaker 15: to slapping batman s Jay.
- 31:07Speaker 8: So, STU, you might not have picked up where the
- 31:09Speaker 8: mistake was there, then.
- 31:10Speaker 4: No, I did you want me to try and guess here?
- 31:13Speaker 7: Oh yeah, my goodness, where are two.
- 31:15Speaker 4: Jalen Williams on that team? Yes?
- 31:17Speaker 7: How about that?
- 31:19Speaker 9: This man really has been staying up watching these games.
- 31:23Speaker 3: So Bill Simmons, who wrote the book on basketball, okay,
- 31:26Speaker 3: does it know that Jalen Williams, the second best player
- 31:28Speaker 3: on the Thunder, has been out and is out currently
- 31:32Speaker 3: for OKC.
- 31:33Speaker 4: That is laugh out loud funny. Be proud of it, Bill, dude.
- 31:36Speaker 9: And now I want you to recognize this noise that
- 31:40Speaker 9: was made right because I want you to picture yourself.
- 31:42Speaker 7: Okay, you didn't watch the game. It's rare. It's last year,
- 31:45Speaker 7: last year, this year, you're watching the games. Let's say
- 31:47Speaker 7: it's last year.
- 31:48Speaker 9: You didn't watch the games, right, You're like, all right,
- 31:50Speaker 9: You break out your newspaper because you still got the newspaper,
- 31:52Speaker 9: and you look at the box score and you're like,
- 31:53Speaker 9: all right, I'm about to come up with my take
- 31:56Speaker 9: for this game. And you open up the box score
- 31:59Speaker 9: and you make this sound. Let's see, that's exactly the
- 32:03Speaker 9: sound you would make, is it not?
- 32:05Speaker 3: Yes, that's it's the sound I do make when I'm
- 32:07Speaker 3: scrolling THEO.
- 32:10Speaker 7: Let's see in Unison. It's practically in Unison it was
- 32:14Speaker 7: perfect Stu.
- 32:15Speaker 8: It's the equivalent of francessa going as he's looking for
- 32:19Speaker 8: a screen call.
- 32:21Speaker 7: That's how he fills time. Bill doesn't with us.
- 32:26Speaker 4: Let's see Yes and Francess.
- 32:31Speaker 10: Every Thursday checking the lines before an NFL Sunday.
- 32:38Speaker 3: Does Bill still call his show the BS Report? Because
- 32:41Speaker 3: I would call it the Total BS Report?
- 32:45Speaker 8: So some people are saying the B M B S
- 32:47Speaker 8: and Bill Simmons stands for box score. I'm not saying that.
- 32:51Speaker 7: I would say it stands for bowl.
- 32:54Speaker 6: Again, James hard again.
- 32:57Speaker 8: To be very clear, I love Bill Simmons.
- 32:59Speaker 6: I love the yes Uh.
- 33:02Speaker 8: He has responded on Twitter because people are dunking on him, saying,
- 33:07Speaker 8: how do you know Jalen Williams, the Thunder's second best player,
- 33:11Speaker 8: has been injured for the start of this series. No,
- 33:15Speaker 8: Simmons is responding on Twitter. He said, I spent five
- 33:18Speaker 8: hours watching both games, like always, just brain farted. We
- 33:21Speaker 8: recorded right after the game, and I was trying to
- 33:24Speaker 8: rip through fifteen things I wanted to talk about as
- 33:27Speaker 8: fast as possible and just messed up. Bleep, happens, my bad.
- 33:31Speaker 8: Really hope you can forgive me. They really hope you
- 33:34Speaker 8: could forgive me. He mentioned the guy's name who tweeted
- 33:36Speaker 8: at him, and you could tell it was a very
- 33:39Speaker 8: sarcastic Really hope you could forgive me.
- 33:41Speaker 9: Okay, So it doesn't care, it's just being honest. Hey,
- 33:45Speaker 9: you know what, I watched the game. I messed well,
- 33:46Speaker 9: big deal. Do you know how many times I'm on
- 33:48Speaker 9: the air.
- 33:49Speaker 7: Yeah?
- 33:50Speaker 4: Well, is he being honest though?
- 33:51Speaker 7: Like, do you think that I don't know?
- 33:53Speaker 4: Yeah, that's yes.
- 33:55Speaker 3: It's an easy thing for him to say now after
- 33:57Speaker 3: the fact. And You're right, he did have the response,
- 34:00Speaker 3: but I'm not certain I'm buying it.
- 34:03Speaker 7: You know, Well for somebody.
- 34:05Speaker 9: The thing that I'm impressed the most with Bill Simmons
- 34:07Speaker 9: in his entire career is just his recall in general,
- 34:09Speaker 9: right like he used to do. He did a whole
- 34:12Speaker 9: thing where he compared I think every NBA team to
- 34:15Speaker 9: a season of twenty four or something like.
- 34:17Speaker 7: It was just absolutely ridiculous. The level of recall that
- 34:19Speaker 7: he has.
- 34:20Speaker 9: He's watched so many basketball games and recapped so many
- 34:22Speaker 9: basketball games, and even if he didn't watch it, I
- 34:25Speaker 9: would have full confidence that I can pull this.
- 34:27Speaker 7: Off just off the box score.
- 34:28Speaker 9: So whether he watched it or not, whether he might
- 34:30Speaker 9: have fallen asleep watching it or not, I don't care.
- 34:33Speaker 3: I really want to dissect this. I need to hear
- 34:35Speaker 3: the entirety of the sound again. I want to hear
- 34:37Speaker 3: it all, and I will determine whether or not Bill
- 34:39Speaker 3: Simmons is being honest.
- 34:40Speaker 15: Played again, let's see shit thirty two. Mitchell played thirty,
- 34:48Speaker 15: Wallace played thirty. But you know they played ten guys.
- 34:51Speaker 15: They really played more than that. But really they have
- 34:52Speaker 15: this ten man rotation. Jayla Williams played fourteen minutes tonight.
- 34:56Speaker 15: He's was their second best guy during the title run
- 34:59Speaker 15: last year. Now he's I think their third best guy
- 35:02Speaker 15: because I think Chet has officially put on the Robin
- 35:05Speaker 15: Coston to Batman to slapping Batman.
- 35:08Speaker 7: That's Jack here.
- 35:10Speaker 9: Here's why I want to give him a little bit
- 35:12Speaker 9: of a pass too. I want to say it's an
- 35:13Speaker 9: age thing, because man, even in the middle of that sentence,
- 35:17Speaker 9: something had to go off. In his head, like, wait
- 35:19Speaker 9: a second, that doesn't make any sense. Why would Jaalen
- 35:20Speaker 9: Williams only play fourteen minutes if he was healthy?
- 35:23Speaker 3: No, I have now listened to it twice. And Bill
- 35:25Speaker 3: Simmons does not know that Jalen Williams is hurt. I mean,
- 35:29Speaker 3: I'm sorry, and you can't call yourself, you know, the
- 35:31Speaker 3: basketball expert not know in the postseason, the second season,
- 35:35Speaker 3: that the Oklahoma City Thunder's second best player hasn't been there.
- 35:39Speaker 7: Everybody's heard who can remember again?
- 35:41Speaker 8: In defense of Bill team, I'm team Bill Simmons. Almost
- 35:44Speaker 8: we get it, just more prefacely, just so am I
- 35:49Speaker 8: he's my friend? The take, The take is correct where
- 35:53Speaker 8: Jalen Williams might take more of a back seat this
- 35:56Speaker 8: season at chet Holme Grid. There's no way you watch
- 35:59Speaker 8: that entire game and you thought Jalen Williams, the second
- 36:03Speaker 8: best player on the Thunders, played for fourteen minutes.
- 36:06Speaker 3: So I don't want to hear brain farts and I
- 36:08Speaker 3: was scrolling through sixteen things that I was thinking of
- 36:10Speaker 3: at the time. Just say you didn't watch the game.
- 36:13Speaker 3: It's okay. No one's gonna care, even for Bill Simmons.
- 36:16Speaker 3: No one's gonna care that he missed a game in
- 36:19Speaker 3: the postseason. It's all right, these games are late.
- 36:21Speaker 9: I mean, I'm listening, Bill. This is coming from a
- 36:26Speaker 9: Syracuse alump. Yes, I mean I went to the new
- 36:29Speaker 9: very serious about journalism, A new House guy, very serious
- 36:33Speaker 9: about journalism.
- 36:34Speaker 7: So just take note.
- 36:35Speaker 4: I gotta tell you it's really nice being home again, Sarah, excuse,
- 36:45Speaker 4: I want to start a podcast called the Total BS Report.
- 36:51Speaker 7: Can we do that?
- 36:53Speaker 3: Eight seven seven for the Herd. I have no idea
- 36:56Speaker 3: why I'm giving out the number. I just wanted to
- 36:58Speaker 3: say it one more time before we get out of here.
- 37:00Speaker 3: Eight seven seven for the Herd. We wrap it up
- 37:03Speaker 3: with polls coming up next.
- 37:05Speaker 2: Be sure to catch live editions of The Herd weekdays
- 37:07Speaker 2: and Nooneaster not a em Pacific.
- 37:10Speaker 3: We will finish off the show with the polls at
- 37:12Speaker 3: still got seven ninety at X. I want to get
- 37:15Speaker 3: one more question answered from Ai Colin Coward. I've always
- 37:19Speaker 3: wondered his mount Rushmore of sports radio shows. I believe
- 37:22Speaker 3: that we have asked Ai Colin Coward for his mount
- 37:25Speaker 3: Rushmore of sports radio shows.
- 37:27Speaker 4: So I've been dying. I listen.
- 37:29Speaker 3: I have asked Colin the real Colin several times for
- 37:32Speaker 3: his Mount Rushmore. He refuses to give it to me,
- 37:35Speaker 3: but Ai Colin will answer any question, thank you, So
- 37:37Speaker 3: what's up?
- 37:40Speaker 4: Let's hear Ai Colin's Mount Rushmore of sports radio shows, please.
- 37:45Speaker 11: My Mount Rushmore is The Herd with Colin Cowhard because
- 37:48Speaker 11: it's opinion first and story driven, not scoreboard reading. And
- 37:52Speaker 11: you got Mike and Mike because they made Morning Drive
- 37:54Speaker 11: feel like a national hang. The Dan Patrick Show because
- 37:57Speaker 11: it's cool, it's smart, and it never sounds like it's
- 38:00Speaker 11: trying too hard. And the Jim Rome Show because that
- 38:04Speaker 11: thing was a fastball every day and if you couldn't
- 38:07Speaker 11: handle it, change the station.
- 38:10Speaker 4: Wow.
- 38:11Speaker 3: I mean I thought for certain when he said Dan
- 38:14Speaker 3: there was a levitard.
- 38:15Speaker 4: Coming after that. We didn't get it. I'm okay with it.
- 38:21Speaker 7: I agree with him.
- 38:22Speaker 3: Yeah, you didn't think that for a second, did you, Mike, Yeah,
- 38:26Speaker 3: now you knew it was Dan Patrick.
- 38:29Speaker 10: I had heard it before, so okay.
- 38:34Speaker 8: My mind didn't have to say that, thank you.
- 38:36Speaker 7: I know.
- 38:36Speaker 3: Really, listen, we were in a place we've never been before.
- 38:40Speaker 3: Taylor the Third Hour.
- 38:42Speaker 9: A guy who gets on who gets follow up questions,
- 38:46Speaker 9: really asked too many follow up questions.
- 38:50Speaker 3: I didn't think he was gonna give me that, but
- 38:54Speaker 3: it happens. I mean Bill Simmons, you know he had
- 38:56Speaker 3: sixteen things. Yeah, he was figuring it out. Jayla Well
- 39:00Speaker 3: Liams not played. All right, Let's go to the polls
- 39:02Speaker 3: year at stick got seven ninety on X. This is
- 39:05Speaker 3: how we wrap up the week. Every week on hour
- 39:07Speaker 3: show from three to five. We're in the third hour,
- 39:09Speaker 3: a place we've never been before. Go ahead, Taylor got
- 39:12Speaker 3: a dig deep first poll.
- 39:14Speaker 8: Does Anne Hathaway still have it?
- 39:18Speaker 4: Ninety one on the corner, that's Taylor's tak yep.
- 39:22Speaker 8: Ninety one on the corner, Mikey and ninety one percent
- 39:25Speaker 8: of the audience. Yes, Anne Hathaway still has it. This
- 39:31Speaker 8: one comes from Stu Gotts. When you have a toothache,
- 39:34Speaker 8: do you have to lay in a certain position so
- 39:36Speaker 8: it stops hurting?
- 39:37Speaker 7: You never heard of telling work you had a lot
- 39:41Speaker 7: of dental issues.
- 39:41Speaker 3: This You gotta find the sweet spot and just deal
- 39:44Speaker 3: and get your head in that position and it goes away.
- 39:46Speaker 4: I'm telling you I did it on Spirit Airlines. That's
- 39:48Speaker 4: what we were talking about. The big seat and I
- 39:50Speaker 4: went back, uh and I had my own row and
- 39:52Speaker 4: I found a good spot in the sweet spot, and
- 39:54Speaker 4: I laid down and toothache one away.
- 39:57Speaker 8: Sixty percent of the audience said yes, they agreed with
- 40:00Speaker 8: ste somehow.
- 40:01Speaker 7: A mouthful of effects.
- 40:03Speaker 10: Sixty percent of the audience never had a toothache.
- 40:06Speaker 8: Next question, one table left at a restaurant in New
- 40:10Speaker 8: York City? Who gets the table? Jalen Brunson or Derek Jeter?
- 40:17Speaker 4: But it's coming back, brunts, and I think it's going
- 40:19Speaker 4: back Brunson.
- 40:21Speaker 8: Seventy three percent of the audience said the captain Derety.
- 40:24Speaker 4: Oh wow, now put him in Pittsburgh.
- 40:27Speaker 7: Pirate guy's huge in New York.
- 40:33Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 40:35Speaker 8: Would Nick fans trade Jalen Brunson today for Victor wembin Yama?
- 40:40Speaker 4: Taylor said no, he is on a roll. He's on
- 40:42Speaker 4: a heater. C. C.
- 40:43Speaker 3: Savathi agreed with this ridiculous skiing steak for Cam, but
- 40:47Speaker 3: Jeff Passon did not.
- 40:48Speaker 7: Yes for passing trade headlines. I'm gonna say no, yeah
- 40:52Speaker 7: this one.
- 40:53Speaker 8: I don't think it's Knicks fans voting, because seventy percent
- 40:55Speaker 8: of the audience said yes, Knicks fans would I'm telling
- 40:57Speaker 8: you right fans?
- 40:58Speaker 4: Was I'm telling you right now? It's all Nick fans.
- 41:05Speaker 8: This one comes off a conversation about Carbone. I don't
- 41:08Speaker 8: remember who brought it up. I believe is he. But
- 41:11Speaker 8: is any restaurant worth a six month in advance reservation?
- 41:18Speaker 4: Some?
- 41:19Speaker 7: I think no.
- 41:20Speaker 9: This was about the Six Tables restaurant that Stuke God said,
- 41:23Speaker 9: I think they have a six month reservation situation.
- 41:25Speaker 7: And then somebody asked me if I've been to.
- 41:27Speaker 8: Carbone Adnan, Yes, that's right. Eighty percent of the audience
- 41:31Speaker 8: said no, no restaurant.
- 41:33Speaker 7: All right, not even the French laundry.
- 41:35Speaker 5: Huh.
- 41:37Speaker 8: This one comes courtesy of t bab on stop asking
- 41:40Speaker 8: for tips on the twenty dollars beer at the ballpark.
- 41:47Speaker 8: Nine of the audience said.
- 41:49Speaker 7: Yes, yeah, yeah, tips are out of control.
- 41:52Speaker 8: Last one, big one for Stu is Game two, the
- 41:55Speaker 8: most underrated game.
- 42:00Speaker 11: In the game.
- 42:00Speaker 7: Back, yes, thats an important game in this series.
- 42:03Speaker 8: Sixty six percent of the audience said yes, ye
