Great news for Silver and we heard it from Hekla Mining CEO
• 0:04
Phillips Baker. They are the largest silver
• 0:08
producer in the United States, over 100 years old.
• 0:12
So to say that Phillips Baker knows a thing or two about
• 0:15
Silver, I think is an understatement.
• 0:17
But what did he say that should have all Silver investors?
• 0:21
Yes, that includes you and me. Very interested.
• 0:26
He talked about the future demand profile for silver and
• 0:30
  pointed something out astounding.
• 0:36
I want to read you a statistic. 180 million ounces of silver.
• 0:43
How much silver is that? Heck, that's almost 2025% of the
• 0:48
world's annual mining production of silver. 180 million ounces of
• 0:54
silver were used last year alone in the photovoltaics industry.
• 1:00
What's the photovoltaics industry, you may be asking.
• 1:03
Well, that's the solar panel industry.
• 1:06
But what's even more astounding is that within the next few
• 1:10
years, he thinks that number could be closer to 250 million
• 1:16
ounces of silver per year. Where's all this silver coming
• 1:21
from? Well, for now, we know there's a
• 1:24
huge silver deficit. The mines cannot keep up with
• 1:29
the amount of silver that's being demanded.
• 1:31
What does that mean? Price fixes everything, but for
• 1:36
now they're playing a bunch of funny games at the Comex,
• 1:39
they're playing a bunch of funny games at the LBMA, and they're
• 1:44
able to plug that gap with available above ground stocks.
• 1:49
But that won't last forever, because our friend Andrew
• 1:53
McGuire over at Live From the Vault, he's pointing out some
• 1:56
very interesting developments going on at the Comex and even
• 2:01
goes as far as to say that we could.
• 2:04
We could be not years away, but months away from a point where
• 2:09
physical demand overwhelms the paper market.
• 2:12
But back to this solar photovoltaic.
• 2:16
We'll use that fancy word from now on, US basement dwellers,
• 2:19
I've got some crazy information for you about solar farms being
• 2:24
built around the world. And again, every solar panel.
• 2:28
When you're driving down the highway in your woody wagon with
• 2:31
your family, you can look out the window and see that solar
• 2:33
farm. You can envision a little bar of
• 2:37
silver in each and every one of those solar panels, because
• 2:41
that's the truth. Now, if you don't have me with
• 2:43
you in the woody wagon, you can always join me here in the
• 2:46
basement. And it's always a big honor to
• 2:48
me when you do that. Thanks for being here.
• 2:52
Please give this a thumbs up and you can subscribe to the channel

• 2:58
Something interesting, something fun about silver, gold and
• 3:02
precious metal mining stocks. But let's head over to a crazy
• 3:07
picture. This is a picture of a solar
• 3:10
farm in II is building. Unbelievable.
• 3:15
You probably haven't heard this, but India is building
• 3:18
unbelievably large solar farms. There's one that's on the border
• 3:23
with Pakistan that people are saying is the largest in the
• 3:27
world, but these things are absolutely massive.
• 3:30
Now I want you to look at each one of those little of
• 3:33
thousands, 10s of thousands of solar panels.
• 3:36
And remember each one of those requires a little silver.
• 3:40
And that silver right is only coming out of the ground at like
• 3:44
a 7 to one ratio to gold #1. And there's not enough silver
• 3:48
coming out of the ground to satisfy the demand for solar
• 3:54
panels and the other demand sources that we have for silver
• 3:58
electronics investors, you your stack in your basement.
• 4:03
Let's head over to this article from Wikipedia.
• 4:07
Actually, I just did a Google search here.
• 4:09
The Bahadra Solar Park is a solar power plant located in the
• 4:14
Thar Desert of Rajasthan, India. It covers an area of 56 square
• 4:21
kilometers and has a total installed capacity of 2245
• 4:25
megawatts, making it the largest solar park in the world as of
• 4:29
2023. When I was researching for this
• 4:33
article or for this video, I ran into an article that talked
• 4:37
about how some of these solar parks in India, right The New
• 4:41
Yorker, New Yorker a year ago, India's quest to build the
• 4:44
world's largest solar farms. So one of these solar farms in
• 4:49
India alone, one of them is bigger than Manhattan.
• 4:54
Guys, this is huge and think about this.
• 4:58
Does maybe maybe this explain the astounding news that we
• 5:03
heard about India and silver back in February?
• 5:06
Hey, I want to say thank you to channel sponsor Pimbex, Pi MB,
• 5:10
  E, xpimbex.com online bullion dealer.
• 5:15
If you're looking to buy silver, gold, or platinum online, do
• 5:18
yourself a favor, compare Pinbex to your other options out there.
• 5:23
I'll never tell you what to do, but I will recommend that you do
• 5:27
some comparison shopping because I think you'll find what I
• 5:30
always find. Pinbex has the best prices,
• 5:34
great selection, and outstanding customer service.
• 5:38
I consider it a big privilege to have them as a sponsor of Ron's
• 5:42
basement. So let's talk about what's going
• 5:45
on right now in India. What's the latest data?
• 5:48
Silver in India. February, India imported 70
• 5:54
million ounces of silver. Again, I beat this one into the
• 5:58
ground, but that's almost 10% of the world mining production of
• 6:03
silver being imported by India in one month.
• 6:09
And we know India continues to expand their solar panel
• 6:13
program. Phillips Baker had a lot more to
• 6:16
say about silver. We're going to get to that after
• 6:18
we say thank you to 1st Mining Gold Channel, sponsor of Ron's
• 6:23
Basement Gold development company in Canada. 2 multi
• 6:27
million ounce projects. If you want to learn more about
• 6:30
first mining gold, reach out to Paul Morris, their Director of
• 6:33
Investor Relations. I will put a link to his e-mail
• 6:37
in the description of this video.
• 6:39
And of course our friends at Fortuna Silver, they also mine
• 6:44
gold. They actually mine a little more
• 6:46
gold now than silver, but they do both.
• 6:48
They're diversified. They're an operating company
• 6:51
with five great mines, three in Latin America, 2 operating mines
• 6:56
in West Africa in a super exciting development exploration
• 7:02
stage project in Senegal, the Diamba Sood project.
• 7:06
You can learn more about them at fortunasilver.com.
• 7:10
So what else did Phillips Baker have to say?
• 7:13
Phillips had something very interesting to say about the
• 7:16
fact that, think about it, five years ago the demand for silver
• 7:21
from solar panels was minuscule, something that we didn't really
• 7:25
talk about. And now it has grown into this
• 7:29
massive, massive force. Also, when we talk about the
• 7:33
deficits over the last few years, almost 1/2 billion ounces
• 7:39
of silver have been pulled out of the above ground supply
• 7:44
surplus that exists. Nobody knows for sure how big
• 7:47
that really is, but we do know one thing for sure, right?
• 7:51
And one of the things we love about silver and gold, it's
• 7:55
finite that above ground resource that they're using to
• 7:58
plug the deficit for now, it won't last forever.
• 8:03
You can't print silver like you can print dollars or electronic
• 8:07
currency or anything else. Do you think it's safe to say
• 8:11
that the price of silver does not line up with the underlying
• 8:15
fundamentals and there are all types of crazy things going on
• 8:20
in the big silver markets right now, the Comex and the LBMA.
• 8:26
Will we soon see physical demand overtaking electronic supply?
• 8:33
I think we will. I'll be here for you through it
• 8:36
all. It's a big honor when you join
• 8:38
me here in the basement. Thank you.
• 8:40
And I'll look forward to seeing you.
• 8:42
  Yes, You again soon.
