Speaker 1: What's up everyone and welcome back to the Epstein Chronicles.
• 0:05
Speaker 1: Jeffrey Epstein paled around with a whole lot of scientists.
• 0:08
Speaker 1: We all know that. The question is, how didn't any
• 0:12
Speaker 1: of these so-called smartest people in the room have any
• 0:15
Speaker 1: idea who Jeffrey Epstein was or what he was really
• 0:19
Speaker 1: up to? My guess is, and remember, just my guess,
• 0:22
Speaker 1: is that they knew and they just didn't care. Today
• 0:25
Speaker 1: we have an article from The Nation and the headline,
• 0:28
Speaker 1: Jeffrey Epstein, Science of Sleaze. Epstein's scientist friends should have
• 0:33
Speaker 1: known better than to associate with a crackpot transhumanist. This
• 0:38
Speaker 1: article was authored by Kata Polite and it was originally
• 0:42
Speaker 1: published on August 12th of 2019. Just a little bit
• 0:48
Speaker 1: of advice. If somebody's out here talking about transhumanism, probably
• 0:52
Speaker 1: a good idea to go the other way. I don't
• 0:56
Speaker 1: know about you, but I'm cool with any sort of
• 0:58
Speaker 1: scientist doing any kind of experiment on my body. No
• 1:02
Speaker 1: insertion of cyber genetics. I'm cool on all of that.
• 1:08
Speaker 1: Jeffrey Epstein's life of abuse, sex trafficking, vast wealth and
• 1:12
Speaker 1: elite hobnobbing was the very picture of a conspiracy theory,
• 1:16
Speaker 1: a real life pizza gate. It was outdone only by
• 1:19
Speaker 1: his death. Did he kill himself or was he murdered?
• 1:23
Speaker 1: Were the Clintons behind it.
• 1:24
Speaker 2: Or was it Trump?
• 1:25
Speaker 1: Why wasn't anyone watching? Has the video camera footage from
• 1:29
Speaker 1: his jail cell mysteriously disappeared?
• 1:31
  Speaker 2: Yes, it has.
• 1:33
Speaker 1: And we all know that there are still a lot
• 1:35
Speaker 1: of questions surrounding where that video footage is or how
• 1:39
Speaker 1: it ended up being destroyed. Epstein's stay at the Metropolitan
• 1:45
Speaker 1: Correctional Center and his death on Saturday will breed multiple
• 1:48
Speaker 1: versions of the truth and conflicting interpretations of scientific evidence.
• 1:54
Speaker 1: That too is fitting. Epstein, as it turned out, had
• 1:57
Speaker 1: been cultivating conflicting understandings of science for a long time
• 2:01
Speaker 1: through his donations to research institutions and the lasting friendships
• 2:05
Speaker 1: he formed with legitimate, renowned scientists. Now look, what if
• 2:10
Speaker 1: Epstein was working for intelligence, right? Let's say that he was.
• 2:14
Speaker 1: Wouldn't he want to get into the mind and into
• 2:17
Speaker 1: the pockets of these scientists to see what they were
• 2:19
Speaker 1: working on so that he could give that information to
• 2:22
Speaker 1: his handlers? Doesn't that seem like a likely roadmap for
• 2:27
Speaker 1: Jeffrey Epstein? Why else would he be hanging out with
• 2:29
Speaker 1: all of these scientists? We know that he was in
• 2:31
Speaker 1: the information game. We know he was into Compromat. So
• 2:35
Speaker 1: it would make sense that he was trying to find
• 2:37
Speaker 1: out what these scientists were working on and get those details.
• 2:42
Speaker 1: And that's what gets to me, the scientists. I can
• 2:45
Speaker 1: live with the idea that the one percenters who hung
• 2:48
Speaker 1: around with the financier pedophile, Jeffrey Epstein, are frivolous, heartless
• 2:52
Speaker 1: people who either don't care if he sexually abused underage
• 2:56
Speaker 1: and barely of age girls or spent decades living in
• 2:58
Speaker 1: a cave. I can be bewildered by Ghislaine Maxwell, who
• 3:02
Speaker 1: apparently had nothing better to do with her money and
• 3:04
Speaker 1: her fancy Oxford degree than to act as Epstein's majordomo,
• 3:09
Speaker 1: social secretary, and procurus. But it was more than that.
• 3:12
  Speaker 2: We know that.
• 3:13
Speaker 1: We know she was the underboss. We know she was
• 3:15
Speaker 1: pulling strings. And she was in a leadership role. She
• 3:18
Speaker 1: was never just the majordomo, the Heidi Fleiss of the operation.
• 3:22
Speaker 2: She was a key cog.
• 3:24
Speaker 1: In how it all went down. And in fact, my
• 3:26
Speaker 1: guess is she helped them come up with the whole
• 3:28
Speaker 1: entire plan. I've read my Evelyn Waugh and my Edward St. Aubin,
• 3:36
Speaker 1: and I get it. The British upper crust is famously depraved.
• 3:40
Speaker 1: As for the politicians, it's no surprise that Donald Trump
• 3:42
Speaker 1: and Epstein went way back. Two masters of the universe
• 3:46
Speaker 1: with mansions in Palm Beach and a taste for very
• 3:48
Speaker 1: young women? Why wouldn't they like each other? That tracks too.
• 3:52
Speaker 1: We all know that Donald Trump and Jeffrey Epstein were homies.
• 3:56
Speaker 2: That is a fact.
• 3:57
Speaker 1: They were homies right up until 2003. And then they
• 4:00
Speaker 1: had their falling out. There's conflicting reasons as to why,
• 4:03
Speaker 1: but there's no doubt that up until 2003, they were friends.
• 4:08
Speaker 1: It's not just a Republican thing either. Yeah, you could
• 4:10
Speaker 1: say that again. From 2001 to 2003, Bill Clinton flew
• 4:14
Speaker 1: on Epstein's private jet, also known as the Lolita Express, 4, 11,
• 4:19
Speaker 1: or 26 times, depending on who's counting, and always his
• 4:23
Speaker 1: spokesperson insisted, with staffers or security agents, and on Clinton
• 4:28
Speaker 1: Foundation business. Well, we know that it is an outward lie.
• 4:32
Speaker 1: We know that Bill Clinton was not only palling around
• 4:35
Speaker 1: with Epstein on business. We know that he was a
• 4:37
Speaker 1: friend of Jeffrey Epstein's. And we know for a fact
• 4:40
Speaker 1: that Hillary Clinton and Bill Clinton and Chelsea all went
• 4:43
Speaker 1: to Zorro Ranch for a vacation. And we also know
• 4:46
Speaker 1: that Ghislaine Maxwell was a guest at Chelsea's wedding. As
• 4:51
Speaker 1: of now, there's no evidence Clinton, or for that matter, Trump,
• 4:54
Speaker 1: indulged in whatever sexual services were on offer on or
• 4:58
  Speaker 1: off the plane.
• 4:59
Speaker 2: That is a fact.
• 5:00
Speaker 1: We have no evidence that either of those dudes were
• 5:02
  Speaker 1: enjoying any of.
• 5:03
Speaker 2: These procured girls with Jeffrey Epstein.
• 5:07
Speaker 1: Like I've said from the beginning, what we know is
• 5:09
Speaker 1: that they enabled Jeffrey Epstein's behavior and they helped his
• 5:12
Speaker 1: rise through popular society by being friends with him. But
• 5:19
Speaker 1: when you read the list of powerful people Epstein was
• 5:22
Speaker 1: acquainted with, including Prince Andrew, Woody Allen, Larry Summers, and
• 5:26
Speaker 1: of course the zillionaire Les Wexner, one of Epstein's only
• 5:30
Speaker 1: known clients, when you learn that Maxwell was a guest
• 5:33
Speaker 1: at Chelsea Clinton's wedding in 2010, two years after Epstein's
• 5:37
Speaker 1: Florida conviction, and that they vacationed together on a yacht,
• 5:41
Speaker 1: And when this is waved away as happening only because
• 5:44
Speaker 1: Maxwell was friends with a billionaire friends of Chelsea Clinton
• 5:48
Speaker 1: and her husband, then you glimpse the same world now
• 5:51
Speaker 1: familiar to us from the Me Too movement, one in
• 5:54
Speaker 1: which wealth, sleaze, and privilege, social climbing, and sex intertwine,
• 5:58
Speaker 1: facilitated by private investigators and lawyers ready to pounce on
• 6:02
Speaker 1: survivors who speak up. And those are all facts. The
• 6:06
Speaker 1: deep ties with the Clintons cannot be ignored. I'm going
• 6:10
Speaker 1: to keep driving this point home until one of these
• 6:12
Speaker 1: legacy media outlets does something about it.
• 6:15
Speaker 2: How is it that after the fact of Jeffrey.
• 6:17
Speaker 1: Epstein being a convicted sex offender that you still invite
• 6:20
Speaker 1: Ghislaine Maxwell to this wedding? Nobody has anything to say
• 6:24
Speaker 1: about that, huh? That just sits well with you? Well,
• 6:27
Speaker 1: it doesn't with me. But never mind the terrible people
• 6:32
Speaker 1: in Epstein's orbit. Forget Alan Dershowitz, who has made a
• 6:35
Speaker 1: long career of defending likely guilty men accused of horrific
• 6:38
Speaker 1: crimes against women, and who now seems so out of
• 6:41
Speaker 1: touch with reality, he doesn't see how absurd he looks
• 6:44
Speaker 1: talking about his perfect, perfect sex life. Anyone out there
• 6:47
Speaker 1: talking about their perfect, perfect anything probably doesn't have a
• 6:50
Speaker 1: perfect anything. What I can't get over... is how Epstein
• 6:56
Speaker 1: successfully weaseled his way into science at the highest level
• 6:59
Speaker 1: by cultivating major figures in the field socially and spreading
• 7:03
Speaker 1: his wealth around. Science, the very temple of the pursuit
• 7:07
Speaker 1: of truth. Call me insufficiently jaded, but am I wrong
• 7:11
Speaker 1: to expect more of those we rely on to combat
• 7:14
Speaker 1: all the nonsense swirling around us? This is the crux
• 7:17
Speaker 1: of it with scientists. These guys are out here talking
• 7:19
Speaker 1: about follow the science, follow the science, science this, science that.
• 7:23
Speaker 1: When you dudes are all palling around with Jeffrey Epstein,
• 7:25
Speaker 1: breaking bread and taking his money. So whose science is it?
• 7:29
Speaker 1: Real science or Jeffrey Epstein science? The list of scientists
• 7:33
Speaker 1: whom Epstein wined and dined is like a Nobel Prize
• 7:36
Speaker 1: dinner table in Stockholm. Besides Stephen Hawking, there was Murray Gellman,
• 7:41
Speaker 1: who proposed the existence of quarks, the cognitive scientist Marvin Minsky,
• 7:45
Speaker 1: the theoretical physicist Lawrence Krauss, and many more. Virginia Roberts,
• 7:50
Speaker 1: one of Epstein's survivors, alleges he forced her to have
• 7:54
Speaker 1: sex with Minsky, among other well-known people, including Dershowitz. So
• 7:59
Speaker 1: the scientists weren't just there to hang out, right? We
• 8:02
Speaker 1: know that they were there for other reasons. What those
• 8:05
Speaker 1: reasons are, I'll leave that up to you. As some
• 8:09
Speaker 1: collect butterflies, he collects beautiful minds. Couped a 2002 profile
• 8:15
Speaker 1: of Epstein by Landon Thomas Jr. in New York Magazine.
• 8:19
Speaker 1: You know Landon Thomas who ended up getting in trouble
• 8:21
Speaker 1: for being pals with Jeffrey Epstein. Another one of these
• 8:24
Speaker 1: legacy media journalists who fluffed Epstein up and gave him
• 8:28
Speaker 1: all kinds of air to breathe. Beautiful women were said
• 8:34
Speaker 1: to always be in attendance, but as Daniel Engberg observed
• 8:38
Speaker 1: in Slate, almost all the beautiful minds were male. And
• 8:42
Speaker 1: what did the beautiful minds think of Epstein's conviction? I
• 8:45
Speaker 1: never actually believed this underage thing, computer scientist Robert Shank
• 8:49
Speaker 1: told Slate. They might have been in their early 20s
• 8:52
Speaker 1: or late teens, but when I talked to them, they
• 8:54
Speaker 1: were always in college or just graduated college or something
• 8:57
Speaker 1: like that. They were not.
• 8:59
Speaker 2: High school girls. Oh, because he checked all their IDs. Mr.
• 9:02
Speaker 1: Shank over here, the king of checking for fake IDs,
• 9:05
Speaker 1: the king of checking on if people are 18 or not.
• 9:08
Speaker 2: Give me a break, man.
• 9:09
Speaker 1: And this is a scientist saying this bullshit to you.
• 9:13
Speaker 1: And Shank was not the only Epstein science crony to
• 9:17
Speaker 1: poo-poo the idea that Epstein's girls were underage. As a scientist,
• 9:21
Speaker 1: I always judge things on empirical evidence. and he always
• 9:25
Speaker 1: has women ages 19 to 23 around him. But I've
• 9:28
Speaker 1: never seen anything else. So, as a scientist, my presumption
• 9:32
Speaker 1: is that whatever the problems were, I would believe him
• 9:35
Speaker 1: over other people, said Krause, who, for his part, chose
• 9:39
Speaker 1: to retire from Arizona State University in 2018 after accusations
• 9:44
Speaker 1: of sexual harassment spanning a decade and a university investigation
• 9:48
Speaker 1: that found he had grabbed a woman's breast. So, as
• 9:51
Speaker 1: a scientist, you should believe him. I don't care if
• 9:54
Speaker 1: you're a scientist or the next coming of Michelangelo, buddy.
• 9:58
Speaker 2: I don't believe you, okay? Run home and tell that.
• 10:02
Speaker 1: The harvard psychology professor stephen pinker has vociferously denied having
• 10:07
Speaker 1: been part of the epstein circle i could never stand
• 10:10
Speaker 1: the guy and always tried to keep my distance he
• 10:12
Speaker 1: told buzzfeed news As far as I know, as of
• 10:15
Speaker 1: this writing, the only scientist to apologize for his closeness
• 10:18
Speaker 1: to Epstein is the biologist George Church, who also teaches
• 10:21
Speaker 1: at Harvard. There should have been more conversations about, should
• 10:25
Speaker 1: we be doing this? Should we be helping this guy?
• 10:28
Speaker 1: He told the health news website Stat. There was just
• 10:31
Speaker 1: a lot of nerd tunnel vision. Oh, so it's all acceptable,
• 10:35
Speaker 1: all excusable. No, none of it's excusable. And I don't
• 10:37
Speaker 1: want to hear about nerd tunnel vision. You know how
• 10:41
Speaker 1: many of these people were at Harvard as well? How
• 10:43
Speaker 1: many of these people were supposedly the smartest people in
• 10:48
Speaker 1: the room? The most grotesque aspect of this high IQ
• 10:52
Speaker 1: sausage fest, of course, was Epstein's fantasy of transhumanism. Improving
• 10:57
Speaker 1: the human race scientifically, in his case by inseminating women,
• 11:01
Speaker 1: perhaps 20 at a time, with his own sperm on
• 11:03
Speaker 1: his ranch in New Mexico. That sounds about as smart
• 11:07
Speaker 1: as his other idea, which was to have his head
• 11:09
Speaker 1: and penis cryogenically stored after his death for a resuscitation
• 11:13
Speaker 1: in the future. This was the guy some of the
• 11:15
Speaker 1: most brilliant male minds of our era took seriously? Eh,
• 11:19
Speaker 1: what else were they getting from him? That's what you
• 11:21
Speaker 1: need to ask yourself. What were they getting from Epstein
• 11:23
Speaker 1: that made them so willing to be around him? Well,
• 11:28
Speaker 1: maybe they just took the Dom Perignon and lavish conferences
• 11:31
Speaker 1: on his private island seriously to say nothing of the
• 11:33
Speaker 1: six and a half million dollar grant to help found
• 11:36
Speaker 1: Harvard's program for evolutionary dynamics, which the university has no
• 11:40
Speaker 1: intention of giving back. Of course not. As if Harvard
• 11:43
Speaker 1: doesn't have enough money. Maybe they tolerated him only in
• 11:48
Speaker 1: the hope of obtaining funding for their own projects. Or
• 11:51
Speaker 1: maybe they just worship the rich on general principles, as
• 11:54
Speaker 1: so many people do.
• 11:55
  Speaker 2: I don't think that's the case anymore.
• 11:57
Speaker 1: I think a lot of people are seeing what's going
• 11:59
Speaker 1: on here and seeing these people for what they are,
• 12:01
Speaker 1: and they don't like what they see. As sad as
• 12:04
Speaker 1: that is, I hope that's the case. Because it's even
• 12:07
Speaker 1: more painful to think that they privately sympathize with eugenics
• 12:12
Speaker 1: and couldn't even see what a crackpot idea this particular
• 12:15
Speaker 1: version of it was. So Epstein was a crackpot, there's
• 12:19
Speaker 1: no doubt. Certainly wasn't the smartest man in the room.
• 12:22
Speaker 1: And his nonsense that he was running about how he was,
• 12:25
Speaker 1: was always just that.
• 12:26
  Speaker 2: Nonsense.
• 12:27
Speaker 1: And all of these people around him, all of these scientists,
• 12:30
Speaker 1: they should be ashamed. But none of them are. They'll
• 12:33
Speaker 1: tell you they had no idea. We didn't know what
• 12:35
Speaker 1: he was. We had no clue. Oh, he was just
• 12:37
Speaker 1: arrested for prostitution. When the reality is, he was running
• 12:41
Speaker 1: a child sex trafficking operation right in front of everybody
• 12:45
Speaker 1: and under everybody's nose. If you'd like to contact me,
