- 0:00Speaker 1: It is kiss.
- 0:01Speaker 2: If I'm a Los Angeles Seacrest with you, Sis and Tanya,
- 0:05Speaker 2: We're bringing in a legend.
- 0:06Speaker 1: Are you ready?
- 0:07Speaker 2: Tony? Robbin's joining us right now. Tony, I'm in a
- 0:11Speaker 2: I'm in a mood for you.
- 0:12Speaker 1: I'm in a mood. I'm ready to charge Dodge. What
- 0:17Speaker 1: foot fun?
- 0:18Speaker 3: How you doing? Ryan?
- 0:20Speaker 1: I'm great? Nice to see you.
- 0:22Speaker 2: Yeah, I knew I had to bring the a game
- 0:25Speaker 2: today knowing that you were coming on, so I woke
- 0:27Speaker 2: up thirty minutes earlier than normal.
- 0:30Speaker 1: To have a little extra coffee.
- 0:31Speaker 2: But also have you know that that people say motivating
- 0:34Speaker 2: people like yourself will say you'll create a little extra
- 0:37Speaker 2: time for yourself.
- 0:39Speaker 3: That's true. Well, you want energy is everything, right, brother?
- 0:41Speaker 3: So if you've got enough energy and do anything. If
- 0:43Speaker 3: you're low on energy, everything falls apart, relationships, business, everything
- 0:47Speaker 3: you can imagine. So that's part of life.
- 0:49Speaker 2: So tell me what is one of the things that
- 0:51Speaker 2: you need to do every day to maintain spirit energy,
- 0:56Speaker 2: drive that equation for you?
- 0:59Speaker 3: Why do two things? The first thing I get up
- 1:01Speaker 3: every single morning and I you know it's now people
- 1:03Speaker 3: do it all the time, but I've been doing it
- 1:04Speaker 3: for twenty years. I jump my cold plunge and then
- 1:07Speaker 3: I do my meditation process. And the third thing I
- 1:09Speaker 3: do is I usually send a text or call somebody
- 1:12Speaker 3: acknowledge somebody in my life that I'm grateful for every
- 1:14Speaker 3: single day, and it starts your day with tremendous physical energy.
- 1:18Speaker 3: You know, you feel fantastic, you're centered, and you're already
- 1:21Speaker 3: in a grateful state. And when you know when you're grateful,
- 1:23Speaker 3: and think, that's the emotion that most people are missing today.
- 1:25Speaker 3: They're pursuing happiness. But when you're grateful, you're happy already.
- 1:28Speaker 3: Plus fear and anger are the two emotions that mess
- 1:31Speaker 3: people's lives up the most right, their relationships, their business,
- 1:33Speaker 3: their life. And you can't be grateful and fearful. You
- 1:36Speaker 3: can't be grateful and angry simultaneously. So I make sure
- 1:39Speaker 3: I go into that physically every single day before I
- 1:41Speaker 3: start my day. And then you know, you gotta have
- 1:43Speaker 3: a mission. You got something you care about more than yourself.
- 1:45Speaker 3: That's what gives you energy.
- 1:47Speaker 2: So Tony Robbins is with us here at Kiss FM.
- 1:50Speaker 2: Tony born in Los Angeles and doing some very interesting.
- 1:55Speaker 1: Work not only for people all over the world.
- 1:57Speaker 2: Also, I mean you stepped in and really helped out
- 1:59Speaker 2: with RelA wildfires as well. We talked to you about that,
- 2:03Speaker 2: Yes we did. Now this is fascinating. You got to
- 2:07Speaker 2: listen to this and let's try and crystallize what's happening.
- 2:11Speaker 2: Tony is doing a worldwide music event at the iHeart
- 2:15Speaker 2: Theater to support the one hundred billion Meals Challenge.
- 2:18Speaker 1: What is the one hundred billion Meals Challenge.
- 2:21Speaker 3: Well, most people are unaware. Like forty years ago, everybody
- 2:25Speaker 3: members we are the World. That was because there was
- 2:26Speaker 3: this great famine in Africa and some of the greatest
- 2:29Speaker 3: artists in the world said, listen, music goes past politics.
- 2:31Speaker 3: We're going to bring people's attention, we're gonna raise money
- 2:34Speaker 3: and we're going to save lives. And you know, Quincy
- 2:36Speaker 3: Jones and Michael Jackson and a group of friends of
- 2:38Speaker 3: mine from back then all put it together and it
- 2:40Speaker 3: was it's historic. Well we're doing another one, and this
- 2:43Speaker 3: one now is called the Next Verse. And the reason
- 2:45Speaker 3: is people are unaware of the fact. Then in the
- 2:47Speaker 3: last five years, the problem with hunger has exploded all
- 2:51Speaker 3: over the world. There were eighty million people five years
- 2:53Speaker 3: ago on the verge of starvation. Today it's three hundred
- 2:55Speaker 3: and eighty five million. And it's all because of the
- 2:59Speaker 3: Ukraine War to give it as a big piece of it.
- 3:01Speaker 3: So you understand, the Ukraine is kind of the bread
- 3:03Speaker 3: basket for Africa. So they are about eleven countries on
- 3:06Speaker 3: the verge of Famiine right now. No one talks about it.
- 3:08Speaker 3: You barely read about it in the New York Times
- 3:10Speaker 3: or something of that nature. And so and when people
- 3:13Speaker 3: try to get the food in, they have difficulty also
- 3:15Speaker 3: with that meaning if you know what's happened. For example,
- 3:17Speaker 3: a place like Sudan, everybody knows about Gaza. We've been
- 3:20Speaker 3: feeding people on Gadza, the first people in to do that.
- 3:23Speaker 3: But also in the Sudan there's massive killing. It's the
- 3:26Speaker 3: largest killing field around and it's people that were starving
- 3:29Speaker 3: to death. So the UN tried to send food in
- 3:31Speaker 3: and they killed the you know, the truck drivers, and
- 3:33Speaker 3: they took the food. So our group one hundred billion
- 3:36Speaker 3: meals I started about three years ago. We provided sixty
- 3:39Speaker 3: two billion meals. It started because I personally grew up
- 3:43Speaker 3: in la as you know, and I had no food
- 3:45Speaker 3: on a Thanksgiving, I say no food ryan more like
- 3:47Speaker 3: crackers and peanut butter, right, not a big meal, and
- 3:50Speaker 3: somebody delivered a full blown turkey dinner to my whole family.
- 3:54Speaker 3: It changed my life. That's why I'm here because that
- 3:56Speaker 3: made me believe strangers care. And I started caring about strangers.
- 3:59Speaker 3: So even then, I said, I'm going to feed two families,
- 4:01Speaker 3: and the next year it was four, and then eight.
- 4:04Speaker 3: I got to a million, and then to about ten million,
- 4:07Speaker 3: and then about twelve years ago I started. I said,
- 4:09Speaker 3: I'm going to feed a billion people in the US,
- 4:11Speaker 3: one billion meals. And I got with Feeding America to
- 4:14Speaker 3: be my partner, and I'm fortunate I've did it in
- 4:16Speaker 3: eight years. It seemed impossible. Then I met Governor Beasley,
- 4:19Speaker 3: who said the World Food Program and he won the
- 4:22Speaker 3: Nobel Prize for feeding people. And he left because when
- 4:24Speaker 3: he started there eighty million. Now there's three hundred eighty
- 4:26Speaker 3: five million, you know, and he's just frustrated with a bureaucracy.
- 4:29Speaker 3: And I said, let's start an organization. But it's got
- 4:32Speaker 3: to be measurable. I said, how many meals would it
- 4:34Speaker 3: take over the next ten years to fill the gap
- 4:36Speaker 3: while we're creating a sustainable solution. He said, tone out
- 4:39Speaker 3: to no forty fifty sixty billion meals. I said, let's
- 4:41Speaker 3: do one hundred billion meals. He goes to you, it's impossible.
- 4:44Speaker 3: I said, I did a billion when I started. I
- 4:45Speaker 3: wasn't a billionaire. I just figured out how to do it.
- 4:48Speaker 3: And I said, we got to find one hundred people
- 4:50Speaker 3: that could do this. And so we started out three
- 4:52Speaker 3: years ago. It was rough riding. We went to the
- 4:54Speaker 3: wealthiest families of the world to giving him to do
- 4:57Speaker 3: with the Forbes four hundred and three people stood up creed.
- 5:01Speaker 3: But now we've done sixty two billion. We just announced
- 5:03Speaker 3: it at the un and so now what we're doing
- 5:05Speaker 3: is saying, let's bring these artists together because people need
- 5:08Speaker 3: to know what's going on. And so we've got everybody
- 5:10Speaker 3: you can imagine, from doctor Dre to Bruno Mars, to
- 5:13Speaker 3: Usher to Janet Jackson to Stevie Wonder, John Legend, John
- 5:16Speaker 3: bon Jovi, Andreo Machelli, Pitbull, I mean people. And on
- 5:22Speaker 3: the sixteenth of December, we're bringing together at the iHeart
- 5:25Speaker 3: Theater and we're creating this new song called the Next Verse.
- 5:29Speaker 3: And not only are they creating it, but people all
- 5:31Speaker 3: around the world are participating. You can write a lyric or.
- 5:34Speaker 3: You can take the basic part of the song that's
- 5:37Speaker 3: already been started and you can make your own song.
- 5:39Speaker 3: You can use ai and create it and we're gonna
- 5:42Speaker 3: use some of those as part of the song. Is
- 5:44Speaker 3: they put this together. The person making it happen is
- 5:46Speaker 3: Jimmy Jams, So Jimmy Game Terry Lewis is you probably
- 5:48Speaker 3: know most successful producers of all time. They got more
- 5:52Speaker 3: number one hits than anybody in history. On the sixteenth, right,
- 5:55Speaker 3: they're a liveheart hit theater. We're gonna make this thing happen,
- 5:58Speaker 3: and then on Christmas Day were releasing it. iHeart some
- 6:01Speaker 3: one of our sponsors. Nine out of ten listeners of
- 6:04Speaker 3: music in this country. Listen to your stations, and you've
- 6:06Speaker 3: got a sister company that does it oversee so literally
- 6:09Speaker 3: worldwide to release the song on Christmas debt.
- 6:12Speaker 2: That is all of that information is so exciting, and
- 6:15Speaker 2: you succinctly explain to us what you're doing, why you're
- 6:18Speaker 2: doing it, and what's really interesting for people listening, and
- 6:21Speaker 2: how they can get involved. And you can you can
- 6:23Speaker 2: submit something for this song. You could be a part
- 6:26Speaker 2: of this song.
- 6:26Speaker 1: Son who was just.
