- 0:09Speaker 1: Inside the Birds is back. What's going on, everybody? It's
- 0:14Speaker 1: Jeff Mosher and Adam Kaplan. And as promised, in the
- 0:16Speaker 1: middle of the week, the Eagles are done filling out
- 0:19Speaker 1: their practice squad. We want to give you the most
- 0:21Speaker 1: top-notch intel we have on everybody who the Eagles have
- 0:25Speaker 1: added to their practice squad. Now, again, they can still
- 0:28Speaker 1: make some moves as we get closer, but this is
- 0:30Speaker 1: what they've got for now. First, Adam, we'll go through
- 0:33Speaker 1: a few guys today.
- 0:34Speaker 2: They lost.
- 0:35Speaker 1: And now, you know, Howie, I don't know if you
- 0:38Speaker 1: heard all of his press conference, but he did seem
- 0:40Speaker 1: to regress or express some remorse for, you know, guys
- 0:44Speaker 1: who they wanted to develop who they lost. You know,
- 0:46Speaker 1: Cam Lott, who's in New England, Kapina Grushikian, the defensive back,
- 0:50Speaker 1: went to the Colts through waivers. Cam Williams, the offensive tackle,
- 0:54Speaker 1: and Miles Hinton, who was guard tackle, he went to
- 0:56Speaker 1: the Bengals.
- 0:58Speaker 3: Yeah, just part of it. There's only so much you
- 1:00Speaker 3: can do. There's only so much you can do. But
- 1:02Speaker 3: there's a saying in the National Football League, anyone you waive,
- 1:05Speaker 3: you're willing to lose. And that's what happened. Guys got claimed.
- 1:10Speaker 3: They had four players claimed off waivers, which is interesting
- 1:13Speaker 3: because was it last year they didn't have any?
- 1:15Speaker 2: Correct. I don't think they had any.
- 1:18Speaker 1: They held on to so many of those young guys. Remember,
- 1:20Speaker 1: they held on to so many of them, right? They
- 1:22Speaker 1: held on to Hinton. They held on to a lot
- 1:24Speaker 1: of players they knew weren't going to play to see
- 1:26Speaker 1: that second year of development through to see if it stuck.
- 1:30Speaker 3: Truth be told, Latu struggled. He didn't have a good
- 1:32Speaker 3: training camp. Hinton struggled. That's so much so that they
- 1:34Speaker 3: crushed him in the guard. He's not a guard. As
- 1:36Speaker 3: we told folks a year ago, that was a mistake.
- 1:39Speaker 3: Cam Williams had that nice game in 18 against the Commandos.
- 1:44Speaker 3: He didn't have a great camp. I did not think
- 1:46Speaker 3: he'd return. We'll never know for sure because he got claimed.
- 1:48Speaker 3: And then Gushikin, you know, I was looking at the
- 1:52Speaker 3: Colts situation. they could use a backup nickel backup safety,
- 1:56Speaker 3: which he is. He actually may stick for a while. So,
- 1:59Speaker 3: but look at that. And he, he's an elite special
- 2:01Speaker 3: teams coverage player and he had that great play. It
- 2:04Speaker 3: was in training camp. He was a demon. Yeah.
- 2:06Speaker 2: You can see it right away.
- 2:07Speaker 3: Yeah. Yeah. So yeah, it happens, man. But man, they,
- 2:10Speaker 3: they're the guys that they signed on Tuesday. Very intriguing,
- 2:16Speaker 3: very intriguing, which we'll get to. Yeah.
- 2:18Speaker 1: I got some, I've talked to some people around the league,
- 2:20Speaker 1: got some good feedback on, on a few. Also, Guys
- 2:24Speaker 1: that they lost to other teams' practice squad, not waiver claims.
- 2:28Speaker 1: Jose Ramirez wound up signing with the Patriots. And Stone
- 2:32Speaker 1: Smart thought he might be back on the Eagles practice squad,
- 2:35Speaker 1: but he wound up with the New Orleans Saints. So
- 2:39Speaker 1: that brings us to the Eagles practice squad. Now the
- 2:42Speaker 1: tight end picture is going to look pretty interesting here, Adam, right?
- 2:45Speaker 1: Because EJ Jenkins is on the 53 and Grant Calcutta
- 2:48Speaker 1: is injured. And then they kept, of course, Jenkins, and
- 2:53Speaker 1: they kept Stowers and Goddard and Mutt. So it would
- 2:55Speaker 1: be interesting to see what they do at that position.
- 2:57Speaker 3: Yeah, I'm a little surprised. I understand it's very early.
- 2:59Speaker 3: I mean, we've got 17 weeks to address it, but
- 3:02Speaker 3: they really need to. When we look at remaining needs,
- 3:05Speaker 3: and we'll talk more about that later this week. We're
- 3:07Speaker 3: doing a show that's going to be devoted to that.
- 3:09Speaker 3: Tight end is absolutely a need. They need to upgrade
- 3:14Speaker 3: just the talent level in terms of depth. Mm-hmm. And
- 3:17Speaker 3: that's something that you get concerned about it. And I
- 3:19Speaker 3: understand it's next to impossible to find a guy does both. Yep. That's, that's,
- 3:23Speaker 3: you know, that's always the, the hundred dollar question. Can
- 3:26Speaker 3: you find somebody could do both? And those guys are just,
- 3:29Speaker 3: you just don't find them out of the sky.
- 3:31Speaker 1: Right.
- 3:32Speaker 3: But it's kind of like running back. Can you find
- 3:34Speaker 3: a guy who could block on third down and also
- 3:36Speaker 3: could run with explosion? Good luck. Good luck finding those guys.
- 3:40Speaker 3: Hard to do. Yeah. Yeah.
- 3:41Speaker 1: So I found that their practice squad additions to me, Adam,
- 3:44Speaker 1: they did do a nice job as they typically do,
- 3:46Speaker 1: especially with their roster tango. They've got some guys who,
- 3:49Speaker 1: if the Eagles get injured injuries, you know, who can
- 3:52Speaker 1: come in and play right away. They also have some
- 3:54Speaker 1: guys who I think are really good future guys to
- 3:57Speaker 1: have and develop and you want them in your camp.
- 3:59Speaker 1: next year and learning your system and you see what
- 4:01Speaker 1: happens to it. But in terms of like running back,
- 4:04Speaker 1: for example, Damian Pierce, Carson steel, they had good camps
- 4:07Speaker 1: for the Eagles. Pierce got hurt, but when he did play,
- 4:10Speaker 1: you know, he looked pretty good as an inside runner,
- 4:12Speaker 1: explosive runner. These are guys who, if the Eagles got
- 4:14Speaker 1: hit with some injuries could come in and play right away.
- 4:18Speaker 1: I mean, you're not happy about it, but that's what
- 4:20Speaker 1: they're there for.
- 4:22Speaker 3: Yeah. I mean, Pierce has had extensive experience. He did
- 4:26Speaker 3: early in his career. Then he just, his career cratered
- 4:28Speaker 3: because he's really, As we said when he signed, the
- 4:31Speaker 3: word from scouting around the league, we were told, was
- 4:35Speaker 3: not a really good fit for zone running, more straight
- 4:39Speaker 3: ahead runner. But he did some good things in training camp,
- 4:41Speaker 3: got hurt. He was not going to make the team anyway.
- 4:43Speaker 3: He was not going to beat a Will Shipley. Shipley,
- 4:46Speaker 3: his final two weeks in training camp were probably the
- 4:48Speaker 3: two best weeks he's had in terms of training camp
- 4:51Speaker 3: in its three years. But they're stacked in terms of
- 4:56Speaker 3: practice squad depth at that position. So, you know, we'll,
- 5:00Speaker 3: you know, your hope is if you're, and by the way,
- 5:02Speaker 3: all three guys that they have on there, we'll get
- 5:04Speaker 3: to the new guy. We all could return kicks if
- 5:06Speaker 3: need be. Right.
- 5:08Speaker 1: Right. And, you know, Pierce, we've talked about how he
- 5:10Speaker 1: was not a great fit for the wide zone scheme,
- 5:12Speaker 1: and he is not. But the one thing we've observed
- 5:15Speaker 1: at training camp and the preseason is it's not like
- 5:17Speaker 1: they're going through an 80% wide zone offense. They're still
- 5:20Speaker 1: running plenty up the middle. You can even run zone
- 5:23Speaker 1: up the middle, which they have done quite a bit of. So, again,
- 5:26Speaker 1: if he had to play, if he's on the 53
- 5:28Speaker 1: for whatever reason, they can tailor some runs to him
- 5:32Speaker 1: to fit his strong suit because that was the Eagles'
- 5:36Speaker 1: strong suit for him. for years now running.
- 5:38Speaker 3: Up the middle. Yeah. Yeah. So we'll see, we'll see
- 5:42Speaker 3: what happens. But look, obviously if no one's hurt, these
- 5:45Speaker 3: guys aren't going to almost certain not to be activated. Right.
- 5:49Speaker 3: Typically you could find someone who could return kicks on
- 5:52Speaker 3: your 53. Typically. I didn't say always. Typically you can.
- 5:55Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 5:57Speaker 3: That shakes out.
- 5:58Speaker 1: So the other guy though is really fascinating and it's
- 6:00Speaker 1: Jadon blue who was cut after one year with the
- 6:04Speaker 1: Dallas Cowboys.
- 6:05Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 6:05Speaker 1: I believe it was a fifth round pick. Last year,
- 6:08Speaker 1: I recall us doing a scouting show on running backs
- 6:13Speaker 1: with Greg Cosell. And what Greg said about Jadon Blue was,
- 6:20Speaker 1: and he said it very carefully, is that Texas used
- 6:24Speaker 1: him in the passing game, weaponized him in a way,
- 6:28Speaker 1: because he's very explosive, in a way that is similar
- 6:31Speaker 1: to how the Lions weaponized Jameer Gibbs in the passing game.
- 6:36Speaker 1: And I say this very slowly to make sure everybody understands.
- 6:39Speaker 1: Greg never said that Jadon Blue was comparable to or
- 6:43Speaker 1: as good of a talent as Jameer Gibbs. He was
- 6:45Speaker 1: talking about the way a team.
- 6:48Speaker 2: Can use a player.
- 6:49Speaker 1: But he also came with some, as we found out,
- 6:52Speaker 1: you know, just talking to teams, came with some maturity issues.
- 6:55Speaker 1: And he was in the doghouse early last year with Dallas.
- 6:57Speaker 1: And I swear for like two weeks this summer, Adam,
- 7:01Speaker 1: it seemed like the vibes coming out or what you
- 7:03Speaker 1: would read coming out of, of Dallas, you would see
- 7:05Speaker 1: him getting more reps and the coaches were speaking well
- 7:08Speaker 1: about him, but then that just went, you know, we've
- 7:10Speaker 1: seen that a lot from two weeks of camp and
- 7:12Speaker 1: how it changes as it goes on.
- 7:14Speaker 3: They love Malik Davis. Who's an undirected free agent. The
- 7:16Speaker 3: Cowboys do. It wasn't when I was told he wasn't close. Right. He,
- 7:21Speaker 3: the final couple of weeks, it was a, it was
- 7:24Speaker 3: a one horse race, so to speak. Davis clearly beat
- 7:25Speaker 3: him out. And, and, Blue had major character concerns in
- 7:30Speaker 3: terms of maturity. Coaches don't trust him, despite the obvious talent.
- 7:34Speaker 3: In fact, I was told he would have gone in
- 7:36Speaker 3: the third round, not even past that, had teams trusted him.
- 7:39Speaker 3: But Cowboys will take risks on character. They've done a lot.
- 7:44Speaker 3: There's a saying in the National Football League, you either
- 7:46Speaker 3: have one or two, but you can't have six or
- 7:47Speaker 3: seven of them. That's been the problem with the Cowboys
- 7:49Speaker 3: for years. They miss on football character. Howie doesn't very much.
- 7:53Speaker 3: He's really good at it. And also their infrastructure is
- 7:56Speaker 3: better than the Cowboys. They have a way of understanding
- 7:59Speaker 3: through player programs, good veterans, good coaching who could reach players.
- 8:05Speaker 3: And Jadon Blue, his final year at Texas, his numbers
- 8:11Speaker 3: were phenomenal. In terms of the pass game, really about
- 8:16Speaker 3: nine yards to catch, 42 receptions. And he just, about 1,100
- 8:22Speaker 3: total yards in scrimmage. Not much of a kickoff return.
- 8:25Speaker 3: Really didn't do it. He only had three in college.
- 8:27Speaker 3: He can do it. I mean, he can do it,
- 8:28Speaker 3: but that's really not what he does. Didn't do any punts.
- 8:31Speaker 3: But he's explosive. And you know what? Sometimes guys get
- 8:35Speaker 3: a shock to their system. He was waived, not claimed,
- 8:37Speaker 3: which probably I would be insulted if I'm him.
- 8:40Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 8:41Speaker 3: And then a team in the same division says, you
- 8:42Speaker 3: know what? We'll take a chance on him. It's only
- 8:43Speaker 3: on the practice squad. It doesn't cost him anything. Yeah.
- 8:46Speaker 3: So you see what happens and you take a chance. Yeah.
- 8:49Speaker 2: I mean, listen, that's the best part about him being
- 8:50Speaker 2: on the practice squad. If the Eagles.
- 8:53Speaker 1: find out early that things haven't changed with him that
- 8:56Speaker 1: they don't like him on the in the locker room
- 8:59Speaker 1: that he's a distraction or something to maturity issues then
- 9:01Speaker 1: they can just cut him and no big deal on
- 9:03Speaker 1: the other hand you know they've had some guys you
- 9:06Speaker 1: know you take a guy like um gabe hall who
- 9:09Speaker 1: came out with some maturity concerns and i you know
- 9:12Speaker 1: he hasn't made the team but you can tell he's
- 9:14Speaker 1: a much more improved player if the eagles weren't so
- 9:16Speaker 1: deep at defensive tackle He probably would have made the 53.
- 9:20Speaker 1: You know, he lit a fire under his butt and
- 9:21Speaker 1: something happened there.
- 9:22Speaker 3: And that was it. Yeah. With Gabe Hall, it was
- 9:26Speaker 3: just energy, passion for the job. And sometimes, you know,
- 9:31Speaker 3: that's why he wasn't drafted because you really it's hard
- 9:32Speaker 3: to coach that. Yeah. But there's some really good interviews.
- 9:37Speaker 3: I believe the Eagles website put it up after maybe
- 9:41Speaker 3: after the first year. I just saw this interview. He
- 9:43Speaker 3: was so good explaining how they handled him here in Philly.
- 9:49Speaker 3: And his, he just, I don't know if it was
- 9:53Speaker 3: Clint Hurt reaching him, but man, we've seen it, but
- 9:56Speaker 3: the problem is depth and he's a tweener. He's not
- 9:58Speaker 3: an edge rusher. He's not a, He's just long, and
- 10:02Speaker 3: he started plying himself. But as you said, you've got
- 10:04Speaker 3: Ty Robinson, and Byron Young has been a great find
- 10:07Speaker 3: off waivers. You're not making the team. They don't need
- 10:09Speaker 3: 60 tackles. They don't.
- 10:11Speaker 2: Correct, correct.
- 10:12Speaker 1: And so there's some benefit of development if you, because
- 10:16Speaker 1: he certainly, and now we're talking about Jadon Bluey, certainly
- 10:19Speaker 1: an explosive player. And the Eagles like explosive players, and
- 10:22Speaker 1: we've talked ad nausea throughout the offseason about what does
- 10:26Speaker 1: the Eagles' running.
- 10:27Speaker 2: Back room look like after 2026? It could be Saquon's
- 10:31Speaker 2: last year.
- 10:31Speaker 1: Will Shipley will enter the final year of his– he's
- 10:34Speaker 1: a different– I mean, he's a pass-catching back, but he's
- 10:36Speaker 1: got to prove himself this year. Bigsby, I believe this
- 10:39Speaker 1: is the final year of his deal, right, Bigsby?
- 10:40Speaker 2: It is.
- 10:41Speaker 1: Yeah, so why not try to have somebody who has–
- 10:45Speaker 1: developmental skills has explosion can give you an element and
- 10:48Speaker 1: see if it works out for you a year down
- 10:50Speaker 1: the road.
- 10:51Speaker 2: But Adam, there's also the idea that when you're running
- 10:55Speaker 2: a practice squad, right? I'm sorry.
- 10:56Speaker 1: I look team this year. You're going to face some,
- 10:59Speaker 1: some opponents who have pretty good pass catching backs. In fact,
- 11:02Speaker 1: week one commanders, they're going to throw the ball to
- 11:04Speaker 1: Rashad white. Cause that's all Rashad white has been. He's
- 11:08Speaker 1: not explosive.
- 11:09Speaker 3: No, no, no. I know. I know.
- 11:10Speaker 2: But Jacksonville, who's that guy? Who's your second year guy
- 11:13Speaker 2: who has explosion tootin?
- 11:15Speaker 3: But with Washington, Krosky-Merritt is explosive. He's just not physical.
- 11:20Speaker 3: That's why they wanted Rashad White, as I understand it. Right.
- 11:22Speaker 2: DeAndre Swift, week three, right? Explosive back. Yeah, yeah.
- 11:26Speaker 1: So he gives you that element because you're not going
- 11:28Speaker 1: to get that out of Damian Pearson. Even Carson still
- 11:31Speaker 1: catches the ball well, but he's not going to give
- 11:32Speaker 1: you an explosive moment.
- 11:34Speaker 2: No juice.
- 11:34Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 11:35Speaker 2: So this guy could help you on the look team
- 11:36Speaker 2: as long as he's doing his roles.
- 11:38Speaker 3: Honestly, look, if something happened to Shipley, he was out
- 11:40Speaker 3: four to six weeks. If they're happy with Blue, that's
- 11:44Speaker 3: the guy. If he's doing what he's supposed to do. Yep.
- 11:47Speaker 3: He's got so much juice, explosion. And I remember Greg saying, like,
- 11:52Speaker 3: he was an intriguing player. He knew about the character stuff, too.
- 11:56Speaker 3: In fact, he actually mentioned it on our show. Yeah.
- 11:58Speaker 3: And he asked me, he said, what do you know?
- 11:59Speaker 3: I'm like, no, that's true. Yeah. And then, unfortunately, you know,
- 12:02Speaker 3: the Cowboys didn't want him. But here you go. Let's
- 12:05Speaker 3: see what happens.
- 12:06Speaker 2: There you go. All right.
- 12:07Speaker 1: Covey wide receiver, punt returner. It wouldn't surprise me if
- 12:10Speaker 1: he was elevated week one, week two early on as
- 12:13Speaker 1: a punt returner. Cause as you mentioned, I think in
- 12:15Speaker 1: the last pot, he's far and away the best and
- 12:17Speaker 1: most accomplished punt runner turner that they have.
- 12:19Speaker 3: He's a joystick. Like he's got good vision. He's just small. Yeah.
- 12:23Speaker 3: He looks like a pinball machine when he gets hit,
- 12:25Speaker 3: but he bounces off contact. And you know what, four
- 12:29Speaker 3: years ago, it's phenomenal. But as a punt returner, you're,
- 12:32Speaker 3: Special teams coaches have told me over the years, their
- 12:34Speaker 3: goal is 10 yards. You're looking for 10 yards of return. Right.
- 12:37Speaker 3: That's what you like or more.
- 12:39Speaker 2: And he's been doing that.
- 12:40Speaker 3: So, yeah, he's really good at it.
- 12:43Speaker 2: All right. So that's an obvious one.
- 12:44Speaker 1: Jake Majors and John Ajukwu, the tackle and the interior
- 12:48Speaker 1: offensive lineman that were with them at camp.
- 12:50Speaker 2: I'm sure they pushed for spots. There wasn't enough room.
- 12:54Speaker 1: We both felt, even though I had Ajukwu on my 53,
- 12:56Speaker 1: I felt like they could get him through.
- 12:58Speaker 3: I did not. Yeah, I did not. Yeah. I just
- 13:01Speaker 3: felt like– Yeah, I felt that as much as they'd
- 13:05Speaker 3: like to keep him, I'm trying to think like a
- 13:08Speaker 3: GM or a personnel guy. What are the chances? Because
- 13:14Speaker 3: the tape in training camp preseason was okay. He also
- 13:17Speaker 3: had the minor injury, the pectoral injury. But it was
- 13:21Speaker 3: really in practice in training camp, and OTs would go, oh,
- 13:24Speaker 3: this is interesting. And he did have starting experience with
- 13:25Speaker 3: the Titans. But I felt like they can get away
- 13:28Speaker 3: with it and cut him. And he went through waivers,
- 13:31Speaker 3: and he's back. So Juku is a guy, remember, they
- 13:33Speaker 3: cross-trained him at guard. He did a little bit of guard.
- 13:36Speaker 3: So that, to me, when you look at needs, that
- 13:44Speaker 3: could help him as he tries to develop on the
- 13:46Speaker 3: practice squad. This is a big thing for Chris Cooper,
- 13:49Speaker 3: by the way, because he does not have a great
- 13:51Speaker 3: history of developing players. Now, they had a great offseason
- 13:55Speaker 3: of development with these young offensive linemen. Lampkin, great story.
- 13:58Speaker 3: Drew Kendall took another step. Other guys, so there's like
- 14:02Speaker 3: four or five guys, developmental standpoint, that I know they
- 14:06Speaker 3: haven't played other than Ken on a regular season game,
- 14:08Speaker 3: but at least you saw some good stuff in training
- 14:10Speaker 3: camp and the preseason.
- 14:12Speaker 1: Football is finally back, and PrizePix is bringing out their

- 16:00Speaker 1: my physical health, my body, making sure I'm putting the
- 16:04Speaker 1: right things in and the healthiest things in. I've always
- 16:06Speaker 1: heard about creatine. but I wasn't really sure about using
- 16:10Speaker 1: creatine supplements until I did the research to find out
- 16:13Speaker 1: what it was really all about. That's when I found Momentous,

- 17:27Speaker 1: talking about Tyler Steen being gone, Landon Dickerson, who knows?
- 17:31Speaker 2: He could be retired, right? You could be talking about
- 17:32Speaker 2: Kendall already being– And Lane, too, right? Yeah.
- 17:37Speaker 1: You could talk about Bell and Kendall already being starters
- 17:41Speaker 1: and then still needing to find now depth, now two
- 17:43Speaker 1: guys of depth. So that's why it makes sense. You've
- 17:46Speaker 1: got majors there to continue to develop. You've got a Juku. And, Adam,
- 17:49Speaker 1: they bring in a guy who's really interesting, right? A
- 17:52Speaker 1: former Bears offensive lineman from Yale, right?
- 17:56Speaker 2: Of all places.
- 17:57Speaker 3: Yale.
- 17:57Speaker 2: How many guys in the Ivy League are in the NFL?
- 17:59Speaker 2: Not too many, right?
- 18:00Speaker 3: Oh, the linebacker that was making a lot of money
- 18:03Speaker 3: formerly of the Jaguars.
- 18:08Speaker 2: Oh, I can never pronounce his name.
- 18:10Speaker 3: Oluokun. Oluokun, yeah.
- 18:12Speaker 2: Oluokun, yeah.
- 18:13Speaker 1: And then he started for the Bengals, right?
- 18:15Speaker 2: Isn't Yoshevis from... Yeah, Yoshi's from Princeton.
- 18:18Speaker 3: Princeton, yeah. But.
- 18:18Speaker 2: Yeah, Kiran Amadjidi, he is.
- 18:25Speaker 3: an athletic left tackle and he was a fourth rounder
- 18:30Speaker 3: i believe for a couple couple years ago and that's
- 18:33Speaker 3: usually third round a third rounder yeah yeah and he
- 18:36Speaker 3: just never made it had some injuries he wasn't the
- 18:40Speaker 3: bear he wasn't what the bears thought they were getting
- 18:42Speaker 3: when they drafted him yep they respected more out of
- 18:44Speaker 3: him it didn't happen but the guy's talented and this
- 18:47Speaker 3: is one now.
- 18:50Speaker 1: I mean, he's big and athletic. I think we have
- 18:52Speaker 1: to find out if he's talented. There's a difference there.
- 18:55Speaker 3: Well, no, but there was a lot of upside with him.
- 18:57Speaker 3: But the question is, the question with him is, can
- 19:02Speaker 3: they cross-train him to play right tackle? I'm just looking
- 19:07Speaker 3: at potential.
- 19:08Speaker 1: I mean, you would like with that athleticism, though, for
- 19:10Speaker 1: him to maybe be a backup left tackle.
- 19:12Speaker 3: Yes, but you know what? The Eagles have a history. Now,
- 19:17Speaker 3: I know Stout's no longer here. He didn't– most were
- 19:22Speaker 3: two positional players that they would draft. They liked to
- 19:25Speaker 3: cross-train guys. Guard center, tackle guard, right left tackle. They
- 19:31Speaker 3: had a history of doing that. That's why I'm curious
- 19:33Speaker 3: to see what they have in mind for him, but
- 19:35Speaker 3: we'll see.
- 19:36Speaker 2: All right, we will.
- 19:38Speaker 1: This is one of those things, though, where it's a–
- 19:40Speaker 1: as someone from another team told me, it's good to
- 19:43Speaker 1: poach guys from other teams and bring them in, especially
- 19:48Speaker 1: if they have some NFL experience.
- 19:50Speaker 2: Especially if you think they're moldable.
- 19:51Speaker 1: So this is a guy that you're hoping next year,
- 19:55Speaker 1: after a full year of development and a real OTAs
- 19:58Speaker 1: and a real training camp, you find something in.
- 20:01Speaker 2: And if it is, put the feather in your cap.
- 20:03Speaker 3: Before we move on, listen to these elite traits in
- 20:06Speaker 3: terms of measurables. Six, five, and three A's. 323 at
- 20:10Speaker 3: the comment, 36 in an eighth arm, which is huge.
- 20:14Speaker 3: 85 and a half wingspan, which is massive. Hands aren't
- 20:18Speaker 3: as big as you'd like at nine and five eighths.
- 20:19Speaker 3: No big deal there, but he's got ideal length and
- 20:23Speaker 3: he's a developmental player. I just like, I like the direction.
- 20:27Speaker 3: Cause I look at 2020 and the disaster of that
- 20:29Speaker 3: draft and other than Hertz, of course. And before that,
- 20:35Speaker 3: It was really Milata in 2018, but they were not
- 20:38Speaker 3: doing real well as developmental offensive linemen. They're off to
- 20:42Speaker 3: a rousing start of 2026. All of a sudden, they've
- 20:46Speaker 3: got five or six guys you go, wow, this is
- 20:49Speaker 3: going to be really fascinating.
- 20:50Speaker 2: For sure.
- 20:51Speaker 1: And to round it out on offense, because he can't
- 20:53Speaker 1: go away, Danny Gray comes back to the practice squad.
- 20:57Speaker 3: Back again.
- 20:57Speaker 2: Got to have a former 49er. You know that. I mean,
- 21:00Speaker 2: it's been a rough.
- 21:01Speaker 1: Cam Latu's gone. Castro Fields is hurt. Um, and any
- 21:05Speaker 1: other of those former, Oh, Ambry Thomas got, got, uh,
- 21:08Speaker 1: I guess got released, right? That wasn't a wave that
- 21:10Speaker 1: was released. So, I mean, you know, I always got
- 21:13Speaker 1: to have some kind of former 49ers, uh, on the,
- 21:15Speaker 1: on the total 69 there.
- 21:16Speaker 2: So yeah, he's, uh, he's back and he still has
- 21:19Speaker 2: that speed.
- 21:21Speaker 3: He could run. Yeah. He could run. Arquez O'Connor was
- 21:24Speaker 3: not brought back. You mentioned. So start Michael Jordan. No,
- 21:26Speaker 3: that Michael Jordan, this Michael Jordan. Yeah. And quads, of
- 21:29Speaker 3: course they can't quit quads. Well, they have temporarily at least.
- 21:33Speaker 3: He was not re-signed as of Tuesday.
- 21:36Speaker 2: All right, let's transition over to defense. And by the way,
- 21:39Speaker 2: for those who are wondering.
- 21:41Speaker 1: Adam did beat me in the 53-man challenge.
- 21:43Speaker 2: You did great, man. 51 out of 53. Is that right? Well, no,
- 21:47Speaker 2: but I.
- 21:47Speaker 3: Had Covey on it. That was a miss. I had...
- 21:51Speaker 3: You got Covey and....
- 21:56Speaker 2: Who was the other guy that was a miss?
- 21:57Speaker 1: Didn't you have one of the two African exchange students
- 21:59Speaker 1: as Vic calls him on?
- 22:00Speaker 2: I think you had Bernard.
- 22:01Speaker 3: Oh, yeah. You were on it. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 22:03Speaker 2: That was it. That was your only two mistakes.
- 22:06Speaker 3: Yeah. Did I have MacBook Williams on or off? I
- 22:08Speaker 3: had him on.
- 22:09Speaker 2: You had him on. You had him on.
- 22:10Speaker 3: I did.
- 22:10Speaker 2: Okay. Yeah.
- 22:11Speaker 3: Wow. Dumb mistake I made with Covey. Well, I knew
- 22:14Speaker 3: he was going to be here. I would have bet
- 22:15Speaker 3: the house he'd be here. Right. I actually said it
- 22:17Speaker 3: then where I him and hot. I'm like, well, he's
- 22:19Speaker 3: going to be on the 69 man roster. There's no
- 22:20Speaker 3: way they're walking away. He's an excellent punt returner. Backup slot.
- 22:24Speaker 3: He's just super small.
- 22:27Speaker 1: I had 49, by the way, so you beat me
- 22:29Speaker 1: by two. Good job by you. Let's get into the defensive, guys.
- 22:33Speaker 1: We just mentioned that Uar Bernard is with the practice squad.
- 22:37Speaker 1: So is the other IPP player, and that's Joshua Rue.
- 22:41Speaker 1: So good job by Howie, realizing that it wasn't that
- 22:44Speaker 1: risky to expose them to waivers. They're both back on
- 22:46Speaker 1: the practice squad, along with Gabe Hall, who we also mentioned.
- 22:50Speaker 2: And that's good, man. The Eagles are... Eagles are really
- 22:53Speaker 2: good at the interior defensive line.
- 22:55Speaker 3: I don't know if there's a team that's deeper and
- 22:59Speaker 3: more talented. Chance Campbell, he was actually a vested veteran,
- 23:04Speaker 3: so they knew they could get him because they just
- 23:06Speaker 3: worked with the agent and said, hey, listen, we're going
- 23:08Speaker 3: to cut him, but we want him back. Keyshawn James
- 23:10Speaker 3: Newby was not claimed, so he's back. Mason Riger, he
- 23:17Speaker 3: was actually an undirected free agent signed by the Dolphins'
- 23:19Speaker 3: Wade Vinger. He cleared and the Eagles signed him. And
- 23:22Speaker 3: he passed the physical. He was an NFL combine invitee.
- 23:27Speaker 3: He actually has decent length, not a great athlete, but
- 23:30Speaker 3: there's something there. And you mentioned Weber. That's the other edge. So, yeah.
- 23:35Speaker 2: Pretty rare, by the way. On Riger, you said he
- 23:38Speaker 2: did go to the combine.
- 23:39Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah.
- 23:40Speaker 2: But he didn't get drafted, right?
- 23:42Speaker 3: No, which is so rare.
- 23:43Speaker 2: That's rare. Yeah.
- 23:45Speaker 3: He didn't have great athletic testing. I was told that's
- 23:50Speaker 3: part of a decent length. But yeah, it's, it's, it's
- 23:54Speaker 3: interesting the way that they say that he had, Oh,
- 23:56Speaker 3: I was also told they had, there were teams that
- 23:58Speaker 3: had draftable grades on them, usually seven, but I know
- 24:01Speaker 3: for a fact, there were some teams that had draftable
- 24:02Speaker 3: grade on them, but nevertheless, he wasn't out drafted. And
- 24:05Speaker 3: then rounding it out, Maximus Pulley, we expected back and
- 24:08Speaker 3: call was Nesky is how you pronounce it. He's back.
- 24:12Speaker 3: He passed their waivers unclaimed. This surprised me that Zion
- 24:16Speaker 3: Wilson was not claimed.
- 24:18Speaker 2: Yeah, I was surprised too.
- 24:19Speaker 1: And then not even brought back, but, For now, but
- 24:22Speaker 1: he could be later this week. But also, you've got
- 24:24Speaker 1: Hall and Bernard. Although, you're not going to play Bernard ever,
- 24:28Speaker 1: but you still have six pretty good DTs if you
- 24:32Speaker 1: count the five who made it and gave Hall.
- 24:34Speaker 2: So, I mean, it would have sort of been like
- 24:36Speaker 2: a luxury thing.
- 24:37Speaker 3: But also, I know some agents tell me that sometimes
- 24:41Speaker 3: they have an offer to come back, but they go, hey,
- 24:43Speaker 3: you know what? If you wouldn't mind, we want to
- 24:44Speaker 3: kind of see what else is out there, and we'll
- 24:46Speaker 3: get back to you by the end of the week.
- 24:47Speaker 3: That's true. Because typically, they'll give him a deal and, hey,
- 24:49Speaker 3: we need to know where we're going to go elsewhere.
- 24:51Speaker 3: We're going to sign somebody else. Also, Deontay Lawson was
- 24:55Speaker 3: still out there as of Tuesday afternoon. We'll see what
- 24:59Speaker 3: happens with him. And Sean Wade and Ambry Thomas were cut.
- 25:03Speaker 3: And Ramirez, you said, went to what, New England? That
- 25:05Speaker 3: makes sense. With Harold Landry out. So yeah, they're really
- 25:10Speaker 3: weak on depth at edge. So that makes sense. Right.
- 25:13Speaker 1: So to round it out, really, I think the one
- 25:15Speaker 1: thing that really sticks out to me from the whole
- 25:17Speaker 1: squad is that there's no tight ends. And yet, The
- 25:20Speaker 1: guy who's injured and Stowers, who's probably not going to
- 25:24Speaker 1: contribute if he was even active early. So you're really
- 25:27Speaker 1: just talking about Goddard, Munt, and EJ Jenkins. So it
- 25:31Speaker 1: feels to me like that's an area, obviously, how he
- 25:34Speaker 1: was asked about a Zach Ertz reunion.
- 25:35Speaker 2: People have to remember, Zach Ertz is coming off an
- 25:37Speaker 2: ACL injury.
- 25:39Speaker 3: The second, we think.
- 25:40Speaker 1: Yeah, you got to see what kind of shape he's in.
- 25:42Speaker 1: He's not going to just sign and play right away.
- 25:44Speaker 1: I mean, you would have to ramp up.
- 25:45Speaker 3: Yeah, and he's very limited mobility. you'll love the character.
- 25:53Speaker 3: It would be a great story if he could get
- 25:55Speaker 3: in his career as an Eagle, but there's really no,
- 25:58Speaker 3: he's not a blocker. They need someone who can block. Yeah.
- 26:00Speaker 2: Plus they need someone now, I would think.
- 26:02Speaker 1: I mean, right now is when you're not playing towers
- 26:05Speaker 1: and you've got Calcaterra on IR.
- 26:06Speaker 3: I wonder what they might want to do when he's ready.
- 26:09Speaker 3: Maybe they work him out, see where he's at, get
- 26:11Speaker 3: an idea.
- 26:11Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean, it wouldn't shock me.
- 26:12Speaker 1: And again, he's a good guy to have if you
- 26:14Speaker 1: have him as a practice squad vet or if he
- 26:16Speaker 1: eventually is on your 53 agreement. But like for right now,
- 26:20Speaker 1: for the first four weeks of the season, the only
- 26:22Speaker 1: playable tight ends they have are Goddard, Munt, and EJ Jenkins. Again,
- 26:30Speaker 1: I'm presumptuous a little bit. I just can't see Stowers
- 26:32Speaker 1: making any kind of impact early on for the first
- 26:35Speaker 1: three weeks.
- 26:36Speaker 2: Monty's just a blocker, right?
- 26:38Speaker 1: And Jenkins, let's be honest, I mean, he's had a
- 26:40Speaker 1: nice camp. You don't know what you're going to get
- 26:42Speaker 1: out of him.
- 26:42Speaker 3: He's very limited, yeah.
- 26:43Speaker 2: So you're really thin there. I mean, you're sort of–
- 26:46Speaker 2: They are.
- 26:47Speaker 3: They've been the entire offseason. Remember, it's not about how
- 26:50Speaker 3: many players you have. It's about the quality. They just
- 26:52Speaker 3: were not good enough.
- 26:53Speaker 1: Right.
- 26:53Speaker 3: And it showed up in training camp. Jenkins has become
- 26:56Speaker 3: a much better blocker, but he's still limited overall as
- 27:00Speaker 3: a football player. Good for him that he's pushed for
- 27:05Speaker 3: a roster spot. And for now, we'll see if he
- 27:07Speaker 3: stays there. But they need a tight end on the
- 27:13Speaker 3: practice squad. They really need a veteran. But the thing is,
- 27:17Speaker 3: clubs have leverage here. They'll have their pick. And honestly...
- 27:22Speaker 3: This is a good opportunity.
- 27:23Speaker 2: We skipped one guy, too. I'm sorry. I didn't mean
- 27:26Speaker 2: to interrupt you.
- 27:26Speaker 1: Because the second position I was about to say was cornerback.
- 27:32Speaker 1: We've talked about needing a veteran corner. Now, they didn't
- 27:34Speaker 1: add a veteran corner, but I got some pretty good
- 27:37Speaker 1: feedback from someone I know from the ASC on Robert Longerbeam,
- 27:42Speaker 1: who's the corner that the Ravens cut. Remember, he actually
- 27:46Speaker 1: had a good camp last year, pushed to make the team,
- 27:48Speaker 1: but he got hurt. and then they're pretty good in
- 27:52Speaker 1: the secondary this year. So he gets waived. The Eagles
- 27:55Speaker 1: pick him up. Adam, he's 5'11, like 175 pounds. I
- 28:00Speaker 1: think you probably have the measurables in front of you,
- 28:02Speaker 1: but check his wingspan. All right, this guy's got longer
- 28:06Speaker 1: arms than both Quinion Mitchell and Keeley Ringo.
- 28:09Speaker 3: Really? Wow.
- 28:11Speaker 1: Now, nobody's got longer arms than Rick Woolen, but this
- 28:13Speaker 1: guy's got like a 6'4 wingspan, if I'm not mistaken.
- 28:17Speaker 3: All right, Roger Longerbeam, 5'11. Arms are not long at all,
- 28:24Speaker 3: 31 1⁄2. Wingspan is actually good at 76 1⁄2. Hands
- 28:29Speaker 3: are very small.
- 28:30Speaker 2: Yeah, 76, that's what it was.
- 28:31Speaker 1: The wingspan was 76 1⁄2. That's longer than Mitchell's, I believe,
- 28:35Speaker 1: and longer than Ringo's for a guy who's 5'11.
- 28:40Speaker 3: His 40 was 4'3, not his 10-yard split was actually
- 28:44Speaker 3: pretty good at 1.5, actually very good. Yeah. I also
- 28:48Speaker 3: did the vert 36 and a half. Broad jump was
- 28:51Speaker 3: good at 11-2. That's actually very good. So there's something there. Yeah,
- 28:55Speaker 3: there's something there. And boy, do they need corners. And
- 28:57Speaker 3: we'll see. He didn't play as a rookie because he
- 28:59Speaker 3: was hurt. So we'll see where he's at.
- 29:02Speaker 2: And remember, I believe Ja'Cory and Bennett is on IR
- 29:05Speaker 2: at the moment also.
- 29:06Speaker 3: Yep.
- 29:07Speaker 2: So they'll have to make a decision.
- 29:09Speaker 3: He had a rough training camp.
- 29:11Speaker 2: He did.
- 29:12Speaker 3: He absolutely did.
- 29:13Speaker 2: Corner and tight end.
- 29:14Speaker 1: That's sort of the positions that even with the practice
- 29:16Speaker 1: squad additions, your tight end, let me say, corner and
- 29:21Speaker 1: tight end depth is what you're concerned about.
- 29:24Speaker 3: By the way, Roger Longerbeam's injury was devastating. He had
- 29:28Speaker 3: a torn patella, which is worse than an ACL, and
- 29:33Speaker 3: the rehab's longer. But it's not like what they really
- 29:38Speaker 3: need is a veteran corner. They need a are a
- 29:41Speaker 3: lower-end team when it comes to free agent workouts. I
- 29:45Speaker 3: chart this stuff. They don't work on a lot of players.
- 29:47Speaker 3: They're like bottom five. Well, it's typically because their roster
- 29:51Speaker 3: is usually pretty good, but that doesn't mean you can't
- 29:53Speaker 3: work players out as an emergency. They just choose not
- 29:55Speaker 3: to do it. For whatever reason, I don't know why,
- 29:57Speaker 3: but And again, you've got leverage here if you're close
- 30:01Speaker 3: because these guys are going to be looking for jobs,
- 30:03Speaker 3: the veterans. And you've got a team that since 21
- 30:07Speaker 3: is parentally good. And why wouldn't you want a job
- 30:11Speaker 3: with a team that's got a chance? And honestly, the
- 30:15Speaker 3: quality of the fourth corner is not very good. So
- 30:18Speaker 3: we'll see what happens. And Jonathan Jones, who knows if
- 30:20Speaker 3: he'll stay in one piece? He's 33. Right.
- 30:23Speaker 2: So, all right. That is a look at the practice squad.
- 30:27Speaker 1: And next time you hear from us, we'll get even
- 30:30Speaker 1: start to get into real regular season stuff. It's still
- 30:32Speaker 1: weird that they had this whole extra week of practice
- 30:35Speaker 1: before the season opener.
- 30:36Speaker 2: But yeah, it's in between.
- 30:39Speaker 3: It's like it's like very odd. I don't it feels
- 30:44Speaker 3: like it's still training camp to me, but I'm just
- 30:46Speaker 3: not going to camps. But Washington, I'm just going to
- 30:50Speaker 3: give you an early word real quick here. They're severely
- 30:52Speaker 3: beaten up. Oh, yeah. They got a lot of injuries.
- 30:55Speaker 3: Their best corners on IR, Trey Amos. He was great
- 30:58Speaker 3: before he got hurt last year. They got problems at corner.
- 31:01Speaker 3: They got problems with their offensive line. Receiver depth not
- 31:04Speaker 3: very good. Offensive line depth not very good. They spent
- 31:11Speaker 3: a lot of money in free agency, a lot, because
- 31:13Speaker 3: their roster wasn't very good. They were a bad football
- 31:15Speaker 3: team last year. They were the oldest team in the NFL.
- 31:19Speaker 3: Daniels is very talented. He had a great training camp.
- 31:23Speaker 3: We'll see what Stefan Diggs has. But, man, this is
- 31:27Speaker 3: a good time to be playing Washington because who the
- 31:29Speaker 3: hell knows what.
- 31:30Speaker 2: They're going to look like. You were there, right?
- 31:32Speaker 3: Yeah, I was. They destroyed the– I have to say
- 31:36Speaker 3: the worst team I've ever seen in training camp in
- 31:39Speaker 3: 27 years is the Dolphins. They were so bad. The
- 31:42Speaker 3: talent level is beyond bad. They look like an expansion team.
- 31:47Speaker 2: I can usually name any team.
- 31:49Speaker 1: I can usually name at least 10 starters on any
- 31:52Speaker 1: team every year. I'm not sure I could do that
- 31:54Speaker 1: with the Dolphins.
- 31:55Speaker 2: Look, I understand.
- 31:57Speaker 3: Yeah, I understand that they made a choice that they're
- 32:00Speaker 3: going to take huge cap hits and they couldn't be
- 32:02Speaker 3: a big free agent player, okay, for at least one year.
- 32:05Speaker 3: But you're bringing in Malik Willis. You're guaranteeing $ 44 million
- 32:10Speaker 3: over two years. They split the guarantee over two years.
- 32:13Speaker 3: So he's going to be their starter, theoretically, for two years.
- 32:16Speaker 3: Could you help him out at receiver? Yeah. I mean,
- 32:19Speaker 3: it's embarrassing. Like we were saying last week, Elijah Mitchell
- 32:24Speaker 3: probably could be a number three receiver for them, if
- 32:26Speaker 3: not start.
- 32:27Speaker 2: For sure.
- 32:27Speaker 3: I mean, right?
- 32:28Speaker 1: I know Caleb Douglas for a third-round pick has been nice,
- 32:30Speaker 1: and Josh Bell got off PUP earlier than they thought.
- 32:34Speaker 2: I'm sorry, Chris Bell.
- 32:35Speaker 1: And then who's the one guy who actually, like Malik Washington?
- 32:38Speaker 2: Isn't he like 5'8? Malik Washington.
- 32:40Speaker 3: He's a gadget type of player. Caleb Douglas. Jalen Tolbert,
- 32:43Speaker 3: who's okay. None of them are really true starters.
- 32:48Speaker 2: Yeah. Folks, go get Greg Dulcich in your fantasy league,
- 32:51Speaker 2: the tight end.
- 32:51Speaker 3: Greg Dulcich, who's had the worst hamstring problems. He's a
- 32:56Speaker 3: super big-time athlete. Incredibly hurt over his career. Like you said,
- 33:02Speaker 3: for fantasy, someone's got to catch the ball.
- 33:04Speaker 1: Hey Philly fans, game day is stressful enough. Parking, traffic,
- 33:08Speaker 1: long lines, we've all been there. But when it comes
- 33:11Speaker 1: to your cannabis... Camden Apothecary makes it easy. This is
- 33:15Speaker 1: the dispensary for sports fans. Just minutes outside of Philly
- 33:19Speaker 1: with plenty of free parking. You'll be in and out fast.
- 33:22Speaker 2: No hassle. No waiting.
- 33:24Speaker 1: And they don't just care about convenience. Camden Apothecary is
- 33:28Speaker 1: all about the guest experience. Their staff makes sure you
- 33:32Speaker 1: feel taken care of every time you walk in. Plus,
- 33:35Speaker 1: they carry only the best quality cannabis at the fairest price.
- 33:40Speaker 1: So whether you're stocking up for the tailgate, the watch party,
- 33:43Speaker 1: or celebrating a big win, you know you're getting the
- 33:46Speaker 1: good stuff without overpaying. They even show love to the
- 33:50Speaker 1: community with specials for fans, students, service members, and healthcare pros.
- 33:56Speaker 1: Camden Apothecary, top quality cannabis, great prices, and an experience
- 34:00Speaker 1: made for Philly fans 21 and up. All right, that's
- 34:05Speaker 1: a wrap on that. Oh, what I wanted to ask you,
- 34:07Speaker 1: did anybody, when you were in Washington, explain a good
- 34:10Speaker 1: reason for why they're not going to move Connerly to
- 34:13Speaker 1: left tackle?
- 34:13Speaker 2: Because he played there at Oregon, and he had an idea.
- 34:16Speaker 3: No, he had not played right tackle until he was drafted.
- 34:18Speaker 2: Right, I'm saying he played left tackle at Oregon.
- 34:21Speaker 3: Remember, Brandon Coleman was their starting left tackle as a rookie.
- 34:25Speaker 3: They knew it wasn't going to work, so out goes Coleman.
- 34:30Speaker 3: They made the trade for Tunsell. Yep. And then he,
- 34:34Speaker 3: you know, obviously he's going to be out through the
- 34:36Speaker 3: entire regular season. Cosme, you know, he didn't look great
- 34:40Speaker 3: last year. Come back from the ACL. He's, he's fine now.
- 34:42Speaker 2: That's good.
- 34:43Speaker 3: Chris Paul's a power. He's a power run blocker. Pass
- 34:47Speaker 3: protection is the challenge with him. Conley was phenomenal as
- 34:50Speaker 3: a rookie. Like he, they were super happy with him. Yeah.
- 34:53Speaker 3: They got all sorts of problems, man. And, I don't know, man.
- 34:57Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 34:58Speaker 1: I don't think I've ever seen such a distinction or
- 35:00Speaker 1: a difference between the right side of an offensive line
- 35:03Speaker 1: and then the middle to left.
- 35:04Speaker 2: Because like you said, they're good at right guard and
- 35:05Speaker 2: right tackle. Center, left guard, left tackle, they are really
- 35:09Speaker 2: in trouble.
- 35:10Speaker 3: And they overpay for Chika Konkwo, who's a really good
- 35:12Speaker 3: athlete but not physical at all. Yeah. And the tight end, Sinnott,
- 35:18Speaker 3: the second rounder, was a major reach.
- 35:21Speaker 1: Right. I think O'Connor will be good in that offense, though,
- 35:24Speaker 1: because they'll use him as an F and Bates as
- 35:26Speaker 1: the Y, and they'll run a lot of 12 personnel.
- 35:29Speaker 3: Oh, no, he's the F. I mean, Sennett was supposed
- 35:32Speaker 3: to be the F, but he– Nah. They kind of–
- 35:35Speaker 3: telling what they thought because they signed someone to take
- 35:38Speaker 3: his job. Yeah.
- 35:40Speaker 2: He's an F if you give him a grade.
- 35:42Speaker 3: He was great in the Junior Bowl. I wasn't really
- 35:44Speaker 3: familiar with him out of Kansas State, and he had
- 35:46Speaker 3: a great weekend. Yeah. I'm sure that helped him, but, man,
- 35:48Speaker 3: that– but they got our guy Sonny Stiles– They're super
- 35:52Speaker 3: talented on the front seven. They addressed it. They went
- 35:57Speaker 3: super crazy with Tim Settle, Amedehu, Adafioe, Sonny Stiles, Louvre,
- 36:05Speaker 3: he's going to play, I'm told, more of an entrance,
- 36:07Speaker 3: or Leo Chennault, who I love as a player.
- 36:09Speaker 1: Yeah, I actually, I know they paid a lot of
- 36:11Speaker 1: money and overpaid, but I do think for who they
- 36:14Speaker 1: brought in and this Flores-type system they want to run
- 36:17Speaker 1: with Durante Jones. I do feel like the pieces work.
- 36:20Speaker 1: And they're younger pieces, many of them.
- 36:23Speaker 2: I mean, having.
- 36:23Speaker 3: Style and having a whole way. Good.
- 36:27Speaker 1: So this is going to be a system predicated on
- 36:30Speaker 1: not just beating the guy in front of you like
- 36:32Speaker 1: a normal 4-3. It's going to be a schemed-up blitz
- 36:34Speaker 1: from every direction. Those are the kind of guys that
- 36:37Speaker 1: you want rushing the passer.
- 36:38Speaker 3: They're a 34 front. They're going to be a 34 front.
- 36:41Speaker 3: And they're going to move around. They're 34 and... They
- 36:47Speaker 3: got so much– it's funny because I remember when they
- 36:50Speaker 3: were playing Martin, the Temple edge rusher, when they got
- 36:54Speaker 3: off the scrappy, he had to start because they ran
- 36:56Speaker 3: out of edge rushers. They were so beat up. Now
- 36:58Speaker 3: they're so deep. But they're not deep at corner. They're
- 37:01Speaker 3: really struggling. Guess who might start opening day?
- 37:04Speaker 1: I know.
- 37:05Speaker 3: What?
- 37:05Speaker 2: Rasul Douglas, is it?
- 37:06Speaker 3: Yep. Rasul Douglas might have to start because they're running
- 37:09Speaker 3: out of players. Yikes.
- 37:10Speaker 2: Was Sandra still on the outside still?
- 37:12Speaker 3: I mean, he's– yeah, and he didn't have a good year.
- 37:15Speaker 3: He was– Sanderson was phenomenal as a rookie, but he
- 37:18Speaker 3: did not have a good year last year. Yeah. All right.
- 37:21Speaker 1: We've got to do one of these pods soon where
- 37:24Speaker 1: we're doing our overall. You've got so much intel and
- 37:27Speaker 1: so many things we can talk about where we give
- 37:29Speaker 1: our bottom five NFL teams and then our top ten.
- 37:32Speaker 1: We'll do that soon because we'll have some time between
- 37:35Speaker 1: now and the opening.
- 37:36Speaker 3: First injury report. By the way, next Wednesday is the
- 37:38Speaker 3: first injury report. Can't wait. All right.
- 37:41Speaker 2: Great stuff.
- 37:41Speaker 1: That's going to do it for this episode of Inside
- 37:43Speaker 1: the Birds, the leading podcast in Eagles Intel and NFL
- 37:47Speaker 1: Intel sometimes, many times. As always, we thank you for
- 37:50Speaker 1: flying with us Inside the Birds.
