- 0:56Speaker 4: not driving. If you're sitting and you want to just
- 0:58Speaker 4: kind of chat, jump into YouTube, chat.
- 1:02Speaker 2: Talk to us.
- 1:02Speaker 5: Smash that like button, smash.
- 1:04Speaker 2: The like buttons. All right, mister.
- 1:08Speaker 5: Marler, it's time for me to shine.
- 1:11Speaker 2: No, no, not at all.
- 1:17Speaker 4: Yesterday we talked a little bit about the most underrated
- 1:22Speaker 4: teams that we thought in the SEC this year.
- 1:25Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:26Speaker 4: Now I want to talk a little bit about overrated teams.
- 1:30Speaker 4: So teams that have a lot of expectations going into
- 1:32Speaker 4: the season that we think now it might be it
- 1:36Speaker 4: might be a bad team that does mediocre expectations that
- 1:38Speaker 4: you still don't think they're going to meet, or it
- 1:40Speaker 4: might be somebody that has super high expectations. Uh, that's
- 1:43Speaker 4: something to talk about, Alandra. I wanna I want to
- 1:47Speaker 4: ask you as well, because I know, like we kind
- 1:51Speaker 4: of talked about and when we do weekend winners and losers,
- 1:54Speaker 4: losers are your favorite?
- 1:58Speaker 5: Uh that was my winner though I know that, Yeah, your.
- 2:01Speaker 4: Positivity was so audre and the SEC when we talk
- 2:04Speaker 4: about people that might have a little bit of maybe overvalued,
- 2:08Speaker 4: who do you think is not going to live up
- 2:10Speaker 4: to the expectations that are being set for them right now,
- 2:13Speaker 4: at least by the media and by national in the
- 2:16Speaker 4: Southeast conference.
- 2:17Speaker 6: Okay, this is going to be a hot take.
- 2:19Speaker 2: Okay, we're because but.
- 2:22Speaker 6: I've been kind of like saying this is I just
- 2:24Speaker 6: think that ole miss is getting so much credit from
- 2:27Speaker 6: not only like SEC media, but national media preach and
- 2:32Speaker 6: there's just like so many I know they have a
- 2:34Speaker 6: lot of people returning, and I know that Pete Golding
- 2:38Speaker 6: and I know that Pete Golding coached in the playoff, right,
- 2:40Speaker 6: but he had Charlie Weiss junior with him. And aside
- 2:44Speaker 6: from all that, I do still think that it's like
- 2:47Speaker 6: very unknown how this team coming into twenty twenty six
- 2:52Speaker 6: is going to be in. On the SEC preseason media
- 2:54Speaker 6: pool that came out a couple of weeks ago or
- 2:56Speaker 6: last week or whatever it was, they had him ranked
- 2:59Speaker 6: number three, and we said insane. We said that we
- 3:01Speaker 6: would move Ole Miss and put Oklahoma where that where
- 3:05Speaker 6: they were. And so I just feel like, rightfully, so
- 3:10Speaker 6: Lane Kiffin took so much heat off of Pete Golding
- 3:13Speaker 6: and everybody like Pete was able to galvanize the fan
- 3:16Speaker 6: base and galvanize the players, and everybody was bought in
- 3:20Speaker 6: on Pete and I get why. I understand why.
- 3:24Speaker 5: But yeah, well just one podium, right, one one of
- 3:27Speaker 5: the podium. Yeah, did a great job talking to microphone.
- 3:30Speaker 6: Yeah right, So but what are you gonna do without
- 3:33Speaker 6: Charlie Weiss And what is Trinidad gonna look like without him?
- 3:37Speaker 6: Like you're I'm assuming installing a whole new offense.
- 3:40Speaker 5: Like yeah, John David Baker Carolina.
- 3:44Speaker 6: Okay, Yeah, I wasn't sure who their new offensive coordinator was.
- 3:48Speaker 4: That everybody talks about the Lane Kiffin departure being a
- 3:52Speaker 4: big impact, but just as impactful as Charlie Wiss.
- 3:54Speaker 2: I mean, yeah, like that's coaches do.
- 3:57Speaker 4: It's what it's called a coaching tree for a reason
- 3:59Speaker 4: because they take coach under one head coach that is
- 4:02Speaker 4: innovative can take that same system and put it somewhere else.
- 4:05Speaker 4: It's a coaching tree. But you just uprooted the entire
- 4:08Speaker 4: tree from Ole Miss.
- 4:09Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 4:09Speaker 4: Now, in fairness, I'm a quarterback first guy always, So
- 4:14Speaker 4: when it's talking about trying to predict the future and
- 4:17Speaker 4: trying to you know, make some sort of bold prediction
- 4:21Speaker 4: or ranked somebody rank a team ranked it, like, I
- 4:26Speaker 4: always quarterback first. So I do think Trinidad has deservedly
- 4:30Speaker 4: he's the best. He should be ranked the best quarterback
- 4:33Speaker 4: going into the season. But like I said, you have
- 4:36Speaker 4: uprooted that coaching tree out of Ole Miss and so
- 4:39Speaker 4: it has to make an impact.
- 4:41Speaker 6: But we also took the quarterbacks coach too, right, So yeah,
- 4:45Speaker 6: like the entire thing. And then I know that you
- 4:48Speaker 6: have to take what you see from fan bases on
- 4:51Speaker 6: the internet with a grain of salt, right, But they
- 4:54Speaker 6: have such high expectations for Pete Golding, like another play
- 5:00Speaker 6: off appearance ten and two, Like they're talking about if
- 5:02Speaker 6: it's ten and two, they're gonna be disappointed.
- 5:04Speaker 5: Who was in charge of the defense last year for
- 5:05Speaker 5: Ole Miss gold Okay? Who? What? What's the reason they
- 5:08Speaker 5: did not make the National Championship game? When did Miami
- 5:11Speaker 5: score in that game? When they when they took the
- 5:12Speaker 5: leave of Trinidad chamblis hitting and what's his name Deacon Wright?
- 5:16Speaker 5: I think his name is yeah, right, my god, that
- 5:21Speaker 5: they took the leave with like two and f minutes ago. Yeah,
- 5:24Speaker 5: I'm very familiar with Golden right. I think he's I
- 5:26Speaker 5: think he's a I think he's going to be a
- 5:27Speaker 5: better head coach than a coordinator because I think it's
- 5:29Speaker 5: the CEO part of it. Also, I did not want
- 5:31Speaker 5: to interrupt, are you because I'm you? You think about
- 5:35Speaker 5: the schedule? Okay, you lost so many key components of
- 5:38Speaker 5: last year. There's only so long you can still be
- 5:40Speaker 5: mad about the LSU thing. Okay, they are going to
- 5:43Speaker 5: lose to l s U. I think they're gonna lose
- 5:45Speaker 5: LSU by ten plus points. And that's not saying that
- 5:48Speaker 5: they're not a they're a bad football team. I just
- 5:50Speaker 5: think LSU is gonna be much better and there's so
- 5:52Speaker 5: many more key components on this side that I like better.
- 5:55Speaker 5: In that matchup than it'll miss.
- 5:57Speaker 7: I also think it's early enough for the season for
- 6:00Speaker 7: where a lot of things haven't settled in in systems
- 6:03Speaker 7: to where So that's another reason why, in my opinion.
- 6:07Speaker 5: They open with a Louisville team that's picked third in
- 6:09Speaker 5: the ACC six and a half point picks.
- 6:10Speaker 6: Always a solid team too.
- 6:12Speaker 5: I mean they should. That's gonna be a we're not
- 6:16Speaker 5: making enough about that game. But then you go through
- 6:18Speaker 5: the schedule and you think about how SEC schedules work.
- 6:21Speaker 5: You're in year out. Ole Miss plays LSU at home.
- 6:24Speaker 5: Everyone's talking about how big of a game that is?
- 6:27Speaker 2: Right, that is it?
- 6:27Speaker 5: Like that is the game of the year. It's hard
- 6:30Speaker 5: to get up back to back weeks, like emotionally, physically,
- 6:32Speaker 5: all that kind of stuff. They go to the swamp
- 6:34Speaker 5: the next week. Yeah, okay, then they get a bye week.
- 6:37Speaker 5: They are one of the three teams that has a
- 6:38Speaker 5: bye week in week five, So it means they got
- 6:40Speaker 5: to close up the season with eight straight games. That
- 6:42Speaker 5: four game stretch up at Texas, albert at home, Georgia
- 6:45Speaker 5: at home at Oklahoma. There's a three losses period. Every
- 6:49Speaker 5: first year coach in this conference, no matter how good
- 6:52Speaker 5: you are Herbie Smart, Nick Saban. No matter how good
- 6:55Speaker 5: you are in this league, it takes a minute to
- 6:57Speaker 5: figure it out. And he was great in the playoff
- 6:59Speaker 5: last year. But after that game where Glenn Dorsey stripsacks
- 7:04Speaker 5: John Parker Wilson, we all remember it two thousand and
- 7:06Speaker 5: seven in Tuscaloosa that derailed the rest of the season.
- 7:10Speaker 5: Albama lost to Mississippi State, they lost to Louisiam in Rowe.
- 7:13Speaker 5: They went oh to four in November. In year one
- 7:15Speaker 5: of Nick Saban, Alabama, Kirby Smart lost to Vanderbilt, Tennessee, Florida,
- 7:20Speaker 5: and Ole Miss In your one, there's no way you're
- 7:23Speaker 5: telling me that this guy is going to go ten
- 7:24Speaker 5: and two and just be just have it all figured
- 7:27Speaker 5: out in year one of I don't see that happening. Yeah.
- 7:31Speaker 5: I want Trinidad Chambliss to be great.
- 7:36Speaker 6: So I think that's why I prefaced it, Sorry not
- 7:38Speaker 6: to That's why I prefaced it with this might be
- 7:41Speaker 6: a hot take, because I think people have such strong
- 7:43Speaker 6: belief in Trinidad Chambliss rightfully so, so that's why I
- 7:47Speaker 6: kind of like hesitate to even kind of stay in
- 7:49Speaker 6: it a little bit sometimes. But I just I truly
- 7:52Speaker 6: believe that we are giving them so much credit without knowing.
- 7:56Speaker 5: Yeah, so if.
- 7:59Speaker 7: Any other team like position like as if they were
- 8:02Speaker 7: just like oh Miss, I don't think any other team
- 8:03Speaker 7: would be getting as much harp as they are. If
- 8:05Speaker 7: LSU was like oh Miss, were we lost half the.
- 8:07Speaker 6: Steps because of Lanekiff leading.
- 8:09Speaker 4: I mean, everybody wants them to be good, right, they
- 8:12Speaker 4: want them to be good, and they're like, okay, well
- 8:14Speaker 4: they almost They were a play away from the national championship.
- 8:17Speaker 2: They have a the best quarterback in the country going
- 8:19Speaker 2: to this year.
- 8:20Speaker 4: So like I get all that, that's easy, that's that's
- 8:22Speaker 4: that's low hanging fruit, right, But the change that was
- 8:25Speaker 4: made and everybody wants them, It's like people thinking USA
- 8:28Speaker 4: was going to be Belgium.
- 8:29Speaker 2: Right, everybody wanted them, and like.
- 8:31Speaker 4: We fooled ourselves into thinking that they were better than
- 8:34Speaker 4: they were. That might be this situation this year with
- 8:37Speaker 4: all Miss. Now it all remains to be seen again
- 8:40Speaker 4: in college when you got a quarterback that's better than everybody, like,
- 8:43Speaker 4: it can happen, but can he be better? When that
- 8:46Speaker 4: Lanekiff and coaching tree was uprooted and taken away and
- 8:49Speaker 4: like you said, they had the defense, dude, Like they've
- 8:53Speaker 4: moved all the offensive coaches away and the defensive coaches
- 8:55Speaker 4: are still there. But again, the defense wasn't the strength
- 8:59Speaker 4: of their team last.
- 9:00Speaker 5: Year, and he is a defensive coach. And again, listen,
- 9:02Speaker 5: if I'm buying stock in a program for the future,
- 9:05Speaker 5: I'm I'm buying stock in ole Miss. Like I think,
- 9:08Speaker 5: I firmly think that he is going to be a
- 9:10Speaker 5: better head coach than defensive coordinator because like, did you
- 9:13Speaker 5: hear his conversation about what he was doing for high
- 9:15Speaker 5: school recruiting, Like what his what his his like mindset was.
- 9:18Speaker 5: He goes, we want to focus primarily on guys that
- 9:21Speaker 5: are five hours away, in a five hour radius of
- 9:24Speaker 5: ole Miss. To me, that says like the dude is
- 9:26Speaker 5: like locked in on how to recruit who he wants
- 9:29Speaker 5: to recruit, and he's very focused on like who they
- 9:31Speaker 5: want to prioritize and what his vision for that program
- 9:34Speaker 5: is he is. There are not gonna be any distractions.
- 9:36Speaker 5: There's no hot yoga at five point thirty in the
- 9:37Speaker 5: morning for Pete Golding, Right, he looks great, but we're
- 9:40Speaker 5: not doing anymore. Hear me out, he's having dude, he's
- 9:42Speaker 5: having a glow up right now. Man. Anyway, I don't
- 9:47Speaker 5: let Puka see him. I'll tell you that Golding very viable.
- 9:54Speaker 6: So I've always said it.
- 9:57Speaker 5: We've always but I do.
- 9:58Speaker 2: Think everybody's talking about it.
- 10:00Speaker 5: Y're one to figure out how to manage all that.
- 10:03Speaker 5: And I'm telling you right now, if you lose that
- 10:04Speaker 5: game to LSU, it's just gonna be very interesting to
- 10:08Speaker 5: see how they are able to bounce back. I really
- 10:11Speaker 5: like him as a coach. Ole Miss fans do not
- 10:13Speaker 5: get my mentions because y'all are crazy.
- 10:17Speaker 6: They're insane.
- 10:18Speaker 5: Yeah, but that is I think that's a good pick
- 10:21Speaker 5: because I think that the I think the ceiling is
- 10:24Speaker 5: nine and three and the floor is probably seven and five,
- 10:26Speaker 5: and I think it's just anytime the ceiling and floor
- 10:28Speaker 5: that close to each other's not great.
- 10:29Speaker 6: And my pin and this is very possible. Don't let
- 10:32Speaker 6: them go into November with two or three losses, right,
- 10:35Speaker 6: which is very possible. I wish that fan base is
- 10:39Speaker 6: gonna turn on him real quick.
- 10:41Speaker 5: I disagree with that. I think, yeah, I think if
- 10:43Speaker 5: they are going to they're gonna be frustrated if they
- 10:45Speaker 5: lose to LSU.
- 10:46Speaker 6: In a certain way, I guess I would look at
- 10:48Speaker 6: it as like, Okay, Keith Carter didn't even look anywhere else, right,
- 10:52Speaker 6: like you just decided. To me in the moment, it
- 10:56Speaker 6: felt like a panic I'm gonna shove this in Lane
- 10:59Speaker 6: Kiffin's face higher, Like he was like, I'm gonna just
- 11:01Speaker 6: elevate pe Golding. He didn't even try to look anywhere
- 11:03Speaker 6: and maybe he like.
- 11:04Speaker 2: Doesn't happen like within a date.
- 11:06Speaker 6: Yeah, So to me it felt like a like a
- 11:09Speaker 6: petty like revenge thing. But it maybe like he ends
- 11:12Speaker 6: up being very sick. I don't think he's.
- 11:13Speaker 5: Gonna be like I don't think he's got horrible.
- 11:17Speaker 6: I don't think he's gonna be an awful coach. But
- 11:19Speaker 6: I think it goes both ways.
- 11:21Speaker 7: For whoever lose between lsh and ole Miss, it would
- 11:23Speaker 7: be a harper either ones to bounce.
- 11:24Speaker 8: Back the next week. Who does else? I mean, I
- 11:27Speaker 8: think that's a night situation. I hear what you are
- 11:31Speaker 8: saying on this bounce back situation. I think it's from
- 11:34Speaker 8: that that's from a fan perspective. It's gonna be hard
- 11:36Speaker 8: for fans to bounce back like the team team's gonna be.
- 11:40Speaker 4: They're gonna move on both they're gonna be like, okay,
- 11:44Speaker 4: next game fine, Like yeah.
- 11:45Speaker 5: Alright, well I've put I built a lot of stock
- 11:47Speaker 5: into that.
- 11:48Speaker 4: So I mean that's what like the week three game
- 11:52Speaker 4: l SU old Miss, like it's such a big deal
- 11:54Speaker 4: for everybody, right and and rifle everybody wants to go
- 11:57Speaker 4: to like there's going you know, there's gonna be frat
- 11:59Speaker 4: fight everywhere, like it's this is it's gonna be a
- 12:02Speaker 4: big emotional situation. But like on the field, I don't
- 12:08Speaker 4: It's just I don't like as much as this pains
- 12:11Speaker 4: people to hear it. Pete Golden and Lin Kiffin are friends.
- 12:14Speaker 4: They probably text every day.
- 12:16Speaker 5: But also going on the road to Florida the following
- 12:18Speaker 5: week is not easy to do in general.
- 12:20Speaker 4: Yeah, I mean almost, Like just to your point from earlier,
- 12:25Speaker 4: there is a real chance that their own one.
- 12:31Speaker 2: It's a real chance.
- 12:32Speaker 5: That noise I was really happy to make.
- 12:38Speaker 4: I mean there's a well, yes, say even if it's
- 12:42Speaker 4: one percent, it's a real chance.
- 12:44Speaker 5: I agree with that. And the line hasn't moved all
- 12:46Speaker 5: off season six and a half.
- 12:48Speaker 6: That line is calling my name, So I.
- 12:54Speaker 5: Know I made the graphic. It's great, So.
- 12:56Speaker 4: Why did you make that noise when I said that
- 12:58Speaker 4: you brought you You're the one that brought it up
- 13:03Speaker 4: in the first place.
- 13:04Speaker 5: I think they're better than.
- 13:05Speaker 4: Jeff Brohm is a very good head catch. And we'll
- 13:07Speaker 4: have the have them ready now. Is there talent deficiency?
- 13:10Speaker 4: Absolutely yeah. Football team, yeah yeah.
- 13:14Speaker 5: And Listen almost has some I don't know, Jim almost
- 13:20Speaker 5: has some pieces that I do think are gonna be
- 13:23Speaker 5: difference makers there, and they're not. None of them a
- 13:25Speaker 5: named key one Lacy, none of them named Trinidd Champils
- 13:28Speaker 5: like those are obviously difference makers. But I mean, like
- 13:30Speaker 5: you know, Perkins off the edge is gonna be really,
- 13:33Speaker 5: really good. I really like the kid Jay Crawford they
- 13:35Speaker 5: got in the portal from Ole Miss Antonio Kite. I
- 13:38Speaker 5: think his back like, they've they've got some pieces. I
- 13:40Speaker 5: think Kit still there. They've got some pieces in the
- 13:43Speaker 5: in the secondary and that that back Steven that are
- 13:45Speaker 5: gonna be really good. I love the Frelli kid, they
- 13:49Speaker 5: kid they stole from Clemson. But I just again, the
- 13:52Speaker 5: line hasn't moved all off season, which is just kind
- 13:55Speaker 5: of odd when you think about it's not SEC Big ten,
- 13:58Speaker 5: it's sec a CC. I'm so glad we spent the
- 14:00Speaker 5: entire segment on this because I I have that's such
- 14:03Speaker 5: a good call. Again two for two.
- 14:05Speaker 6: I mean some would say, I know ball Yeah.
- 14:08Speaker 4: Came from cs IS. That's the one that they were
- 14:09Speaker 4: texting while he was in classics.
- 14:10Speaker 5: And sitting pictures and he was like I already have
- 14:13Speaker 5: a deal in place here and he's like a million
- 14:15Speaker 5: is not enough? How about this? They just like screenshot
- 14:18Speaker 5: a picture like, yeah, I'm sure Golden just like cross.
- 14:21Speaker 4: Yeah, great job on mess sue l s U for
- 14:24Speaker 4: l s U kids for buyouts. Yeah, after doing all.
- 14:27Speaker 5: That, well I have I have a I have one
- 14:29Speaker 5: for me. Any noises, No, we're not I know.
- 14:36Speaker 6: Okay, Well well it's because you get on a thing
- 14:41Speaker 6: really fast.
- 14:42Speaker 5: Yeah yeah, okay, yeah, no, I'll leave please.
- 14:46Speaker 6: I didn't want to say, Chris, yeah, this is good.
- 14:49Speaker 5: I think everyone's gonna win.
- 14:53Speaker 4: As Alabama, but that's your favorite team. All right, we're
- 14:59Speaker 4: gonna go to break, we'll be back, and we're gonna
- 15:01Speaker 4: hear Chris Marler's most overrated team in the SEC right
- 15:05Speaker 4: here on Off the bench. Off the bench, go to
- 15:09Speaker 4: Central Plumbing or Central Plumbing. That's a website, of course,
- 15:13Speaker 4: for Central Plumbing, the plumbing experts and a long time
- 15:17Speaker 4: we just said the plumbing experts in the greater Baton
- 15:19Speaker 4: Rouge area, but now plumbing experts in the greater bat
- 15:22Speaker 4: Ugier and in Lafayette as well.
- 15:24Speaker 2: And if you have a project, whether.
- 15:26Speaker 4: It's a commercial residential job, it doesn't really matter because
- 15:30Speaker 4: they are experts at Oliver they've been doing it a
- 15:32Speaker 4: long long time. Third generation company over there, the Pain family,
- 15:36Speaker 4: they've been doing it. They've been doing it the right way.
- 15:38Speaker 4: They've been doing it the expert way for three generations.
- 15:42Speaker 2: So good check.
- 15:42Speaker 4: If you have a project, They've done it for me
- 15:44Speaker 4: food and beverage factory. It started out an old dusty warehouse,
- 15:48Speaker 4: four walls and a roof, and they turned that thing
- 15:51Speaker 4: into a boiler, waterlines, gas lines, you name it. It's
- 15:55Speaker 4: absolutely incredible. They don't work with me at my house.
- 15:57Speaker 4: So give them a coff you have a project. If
- 15:59Speaker 4: you want to saw a tankless water heater, if you
- 16:01Speaker 4: got to run running toilet, doesn't really matter.
- 16:04Speaker 2: Give them a call. Central Plumbing dot org. Central Plumbing
- 16:06Speaker 2: dot Org.
- 16:13Speaker 1: Locked in on LSU football twenty four to seven. You're

- 17:24Speaker 6: Yeah wait, they take so much time off during cool.
- 17:30Speaker 5: I don't I don't me personally, I don't like that
- 17:33Speaker 5: me personally. Back in me and Luke's Day. When we
- 17:35Speaker 5: were in school together, that was I mean you started
- 17:38Speaker 5: on Labor Day and you ended on Memorial Day. Remember that, yep, I.

- 18:48Speaker 4: I know anybody you are very wait I can ask
- 18:51Speaker 4: a question. Yeah, tell me ask me back to this
- 18:54Speaker 4: last segment. I got a text during the break and
- 18:58Speaker 4: like I was lit stening to you talk. But I
- 19:01Speaker 4: kind of just facked out when you said one thing cool.
- 19:04Speaker 4: You said, Pete Godlan's doing it the right way when
- 19:08Speaker 4: it comes to recruiting. He said he's going to focus
- 19:10Speaker 4: within five hours.
- 19:11Speaker 5: I said, I liked his vision of what he's prioritizing.
- 19:14Speaker 5: I didn't say he's doing it of.
- 19:15Speaker 4: What he's prioritized. Okay, so you said five hours from Oxford.
- 19:23Speaker 4: Do you think there's a lot of talent within five hours?
- 19:25Speaker 5: I think Missippi is a very underrated state for when
- 19:27Speaker 5: it comes to when it comes to recruiting. I think
- 19:31Speaker 5: also that includes Louisiana, which they have Frank Lucas what's
- 19:34Speaker 5: his name, Frank Thomas.
- 19:36Speaker 2: How many places in Louisiana are five hours from Oxford?
- 19:39Speaker 5: Maybe he goes five and a half hours, Matt, I
- 19:41Speaker 5: don't know, but he's also from hamm and he's very
- 19:44Speaker 5: familiar with the state. Sure, they've got some pieces from LSU's.
- 19:49Speaker 2: He can't come into the state.
- 19:50Speaker 5: Honestly, I could see Coach O meeting him at the
- 19:53Speaker 5: state line like.
- 19:56Speaker 6: A fishing hole.
- 19:59Speaker 5: Dude, you had just send me that or maybe it
- 20:01Speaker 5: was maybe it was tailored to me that I didn't
- 20:03Speaker 5: know that. He said that on on air on the
- 20:05Speaker 5: Coaches Show. But no, I think he's going to recruit. Well,
- 20:09Speaker 5: think about this too, what's five hours?
- 20:11Speaker 2: He doesn't like to fly, maybe scared of playing.
- 20:13Speaker 5: The state of Alabama. Get Memphis and some of the
- 20:17Speaker 5: surrounding area of Nashville. That's a pretty good, pretty good
- 20:20Speaker 5: recruiting uh talent there. But Alabama, like the state of Alabama,
- 20:25Speaker 5: I don't think is one of the premier states, but
- 20:28Speaker 5: they do put out a lot of talent, like a
- 20:30Speaker 5: lot of blue chip type players, and the state of
- 20:33Speaker 5: or the University of Alabama is not recruiting them.
- 20:36Speaker 4: I think we stick within five hours of Oxford. That's
- 20:38Speaker 4: good enough to win seven or nine games for you.
- 20:41Speaker 5: That's the ceiling for old misses. That's what that's who
- 20:44Speaker 5: they are as a program.
- 20:45Speaker 4: I think you should really, you know, lock in on that.
- 20:48Speaker 4: I agree, Yeah, all right. It just kind of struck
- 20:51Speaker 4: me because that was a weird, weird comment.
- 20:52Speaker 5: I wanted to bring that up and argue with me
- 20:54Speaker 5: about it.
- 20:54Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, a little bit. I mean it's we got
- 20:56Speaker 4: three hours. We got three hours here of course. All right,
- 21:01Speaker 4: miss Marler, let's get to your most overrated and tell
- 21:03Speaker 4: me why it's South Carolina.
- 21:05Speaker 5: First off, they are one of the most underrated. I
- 21:08Speaker 5: will tell you too. I will tell you too Alabama, Texas,
- 21:14Speaker 5: A and m I'll let you choose your own path. Actually,
- 21:17Speaker 5: I'll just say I'll do the athing. I don't want
- 21:20Speaker 5: to talk about Alabama right now, especially with that Lance
- 21:23Speaker 5: Dickinson in the chat or whatever that guy's name is.
- 21:27Speaker 5: I don't think Alabama's gonna be much better. I have
- 21:29Speaker 5: said this repeatedly and it's a phenomenal joke, and I'm
- 21:31Speaker 5: sure you're all laugh at it now with this warm
- 21:33Speaker 5: up for it. My goal weight for the wedding is
- 21:36Speaker 5: to be as thin as Alabama is in the trenches?
- 21:39Speaker 5: Am I right? Am? I? Right? Come on? Now, hello,
- 21:42Speaker 5: Luke gets it? So Hi, there's no chance you're telling
- 21:47Speaker 5: me Alabama last year, how bad that offensive line was
- 21:49Speaker 5: there's no chance in the H word so much so,
- 21:54Speaker 5: where do you want to start? You want to do
- 21:55Speaker 5: hour three for that? So and for hour four we
- 21:57Speaker 5: talk about daddy to you.
- 22:01Speaker 6: I'm so sick of you bringing what's up?
- 22:03Speaker 5: Guys and Chris. There's my top five things that are
- 22:05Speaker 5: wrong with me. Mentally smash that like button number one,
- 22:10Speaker 5: Number one, my haircut. Two. Built like a nineteen nineties
- 22:17Speaker 5: pe teacher. Here we go, all right, here we go.
- 22:20Speaker 5: So you're not You're not gonna sit here and tell
- 22:22Speaker 5: me with Alabama that the I meant male pee teacher.
- 22:27Speaker 2: To be very clear, Yeah, we definitely all thought that.
- 22:31Speaker 5: Yeah, no, no, for sure. I'm built like a Lane
- 22:33Speaker 5: Bryant model. So here's the thing, all right, strap in
- 22:44Speaker 5: he just reads the blue state. Yeah I did. I
- 22:48Speaker 5: don't know what that means. All right, So only one
- 22:52Speaker 5: person you're not laughing. It's Luke, and I'm going to
- 22:54Speaker 5: make him laugh by the end of the day. It's unbelievable.
- 22:58Speaker 5: We're never flipping tires again. Brother. All right, So here's
- 23:02Speaker 5: the thing. Alabama, Alabama, Alabama. You're not gonna tell me
- 23:06Speaker 5: the offensive line that was so bad last year? You
- 23:08Speaker 5: had negative three yards rushing in the SEC championship game,
- 23:11Speaker 5: not just that they were bad all year. You and
- 23:13Speaker 5: I have talked about this. It was real cute, and
- 23:15Speaker 5: they had Caden Proctor out there catching screen passes against Georgia.
- 23:18Speaker 5: You know it's cuter than that being able to run
- 23:21Speaker 5: behind your left tackle, not putting him in in the
- 23:24Speaker 5: what do you call it the wildcat formation in the
- 23:26Speaker 5: goal line against Vanderbilt. Okay, now, that offensive line was
- 23:29Speaker 5: terrible and you lost all of the good pieces of it.
- 23:33Speaker 5: You lost a three year start at center, and you
- 23:34Speaker 5: lost a top twelve pick in the NFL draft at
- 23:36Speaker 5: left tackle. I do not think that they are going
- 23:39Speaker 5: to somehow be better upfront with like addition by subtraction
- 23:42Speaker 5: the defensive line and the front seven. You lost six
- 23:45Speaker 5: of seven there. Secondary should be great, but I do
- 23:48Speaker 5: not think that the front set is gonna be there.
- 23:49Speaker 5: I just I don't trust how they went to somehow,
- 23:51Speaker 5: like you know, like be a remarkably better. And also,
- 23:56Speaker 5: they won eleven games last year, so I don't see
- 23:58Speaker 5: them repeating that now. The team that I want I
- 24:00Speaker 5: want to talk the most slander about, though, that I
- 24:02Speaker 5: don't get is Texas A and m.
- 24:04Speaker 2: Why is Kaylyn Moor's face so red?
- 24:08Speaker 5: You know, that's a good question, man. You know, I
- 24:10Speaker 5: think winning is important. I don't think it's the only.
- 24:13Speaker 2: Try to play good. It's very strange.
- 24:16Speaker 5: Yeah, I don't. He's a good coach.
- 24:18Speaker 4: He's like a really good coach, super boring, super boring,
- 24:21Speaker 4: like brings no juice to the table.
- 24:23Speaker 5: I get really tired of the whole conversations about him
- 24:25Speaker 5: losing four games. It's like, yes, he won eleven and
- 24:28Speaker 5: he made it to the second round of the College
- 24:30Speaker 5: ball playoff lash right, But A and M, why should
- 24:34Speaker 5: they take a step back? Well, they won eleven games
- 24:36Speaker 5: last year. For one, it's the most they've had in
- 24:38Speaker 5: the regular season in program history. So you would assume
- 24:41Speaker 5: they'll probably take a step back and not do that again.
- 24:43Speaker 5: It's nothing to do with Marcel Reed. I think he's
- 24:45Speaker 5: a good quarterback. But we talk about continuity all the time.
- 24:48Speaker 5: You had last year. The strength of Texas A and
- 24:51Speaker 5: M was not the defense, even though he have Mike Elko.
- 24:53Speaker 5: The strength was you had an offensive line that had
- 24:55Speaker 5: one hundred and seventy seven combined starts across the five
- 24:59Speaker 5: starters in the offensive line. It was the most in
- 25:00Speaker 5: the country. You lost four or five starters in the
- 25:03Speaker 5: offensive line. You also lost a first round receiver, a
- 25:06Speaker 5: first round picket receiver in Casey concept Joan, who was
- 25:09Speaker 5: also your return man. LSU fans remember him. He's really
- 25:12Speaker 5: really good. He's gone. And oh, by the way, you
- 25:15Speaker 5: lost your offensive coordinator and you promoted from withan Holloman Wiggins.
- 25:19Speaker 5: I have a hard time believing a quarterback who's been
- 25:23Speaker 5: a career sixty three percent completion percentage type guy who's
- 25:27Speaker 5: good at times but not always in the big moments,
- 25:29Speaker 5: as you saw last year in the CFP. I have
- 25:33Speaker 5: a hard time believing that behind four new starters. And
- 25:35Speaker 5: I'll tell you right now, one of the projected starters,
- 25:37Speaker 5: Travon Ball who's from South Carolina, who graded out of
- 25:39Speaker 5: a twenty nine against LSU. That not a good player,
- 25:45Speaker 5: just not a good player. I have a hard time
- 25:46Speaker 5: believing that offense is going to somehow be What position
- 25:49Speaker 5: was he He was a right guard?
- 25:50Speaker 2: Great twenty nine?
- 25:52Speaker 5: Think I thought that bad? No South Carolina. He was
- 25:55Speaker 5: a South Carolina Okay, yeah, and now he's going to
- 25:56Speaker 5: start a day and m But again, you're talking about
- 25:58Speaker 5: a drop off from the most experienced offensive line in
- 26:02Speaker 5: the country. And there's so many things that have changed
- 26:04Speaker 5: with college football now that what wins games. It does
- 26:06Speaker 5: not have to be the blue chip ratio that we
- 26:08Speaker 5: kind of talked about yesterday, doesn't have to be just
- 26:10Speaker 5: four and five star recruits. But like having guys that
- 26:13Speaker 5: are capable and veterans, like in winning in the trenches.
- 26:17Speaker 5: That has not changed. And I don't think A and
- 26:20Speaker 5: M has that up front or on their offense. That's
- 26:23Speaker 5: my case.
- 26:26Speaker 2: Do you know how when.
- 26:29Speaker 4: Somebody's given a speech or has to talk in front
- 26:32Speaker 4: of a crowd, or they're nervous about performing in front
- 26:35Speaker 4: of a crowd for the first time, you're like, picture
- 26:37Speaker 4: everybody naked. Yeah, right, that's that's the old thing. I
- 26:40Speaker 4: picture everyone naked, or picture them dressed up like a
- 26:42Speaker 4: chicken or whatever.
- 26:44Speaker 5: I go with naked.
- 26:45Speaker 4: Marcel read should picture every defense as LSU because that
- 26:51Speaker 4: guy has been for for LSU fans like nightmares about
- 26:56Speaker 4: that guy. He has played his best games of his
- 26:58Speaker 4: career against LSU. You and in making plays that weren't accidents,
- 27:04Speaker 4: like not making plays where he just threw it up
- 27:06Speaker 4: and you know conception she owned just made to play.
- 27:10Speaker 4: I'm talking about reading through the defense, going through and
- 27:13Speaker 4: hitting his back foot and hitting a seam route against
- 27:15Speaker 4: cover two, like making plays big time quarterback plays, not
- 27:18Speaker 4: accidental just I'm a good athlete type play. So I've
- 27:21Speaker 4: seen him do it. Can he do it consistently? That's
- 27:25Speaker 4: that's in LSU's defense was you know, no slouts. They
- 27:28Speaker 4: weren't the most intimidating, greatest defense we've ever seen at LSU.
- 27:33Speaker 4: But man, they he's well for whatever reason. So if
- 27:37Speaker 4: they they got dudes, they got talent everywhere. Sure, I
- 27:41Speaker 4: still talk with Tommy Moffett and it's like he's always like, man, yeah,
- 27:46Speaker 4: just I know there's talent and if he can put
- 27:49Speaker 4: it together, and why can't Marcel do that?
- 27:51Speaker 2: Like he has so much experience now he.
- 27:54Speaker 5: Is one of the few. He's technically one of like
- 27:58Speaker 5: I think three three year starters in the s you
- 28:00Speaker 5: see along with Flinora's Sellers and Jobatier, but but Teers.
- 28:02Speaker 5: Obviously his first year was Washington State. B Rex. We've
- 28:06Speaker 5: been talking about the schedules all morning. You look at
- 28:09Speaker 5: A and M schedule. Another reason I'm not very high
- 28:11Speaker 5: on them. I love their first two months. There's not
- 28:14Speaker 5: a schedule in the country that playcates to the identity
- 28:19Speaker 5: of a program more than the one that's in college station,
- 28:23Speaker 5: that Texas eight and four that always falls off on November.
- 28:27Speaker 5: You look at the schedule, I think they lose LSU here,
- 28:29Speaker 5: I think they beat Alabama. It sets up very well
- 28:33Speaker 5: for them in September and October, especially with those two
- 28:35Speaker 5: games I just mentioned the teams they played beforehand versus
- 28:39Speaker 5: the teams the other their opponent plays beforehand. But you
- 28:42Speaker 5: get to November, and you get a bye week before
- 28:45Speaker 5: this stretch, but you close out with at South Carolina, Tennessee,
- 28:50Speaker 5: Oklahoma on the road in Texas. You are going to
- 28:52Speaker 5: lose at least two, maybe three of those. And if
- 28:56Speaker 5: you want to sit here and roll your eyes with
- 28:58Speaker 5: the South Carolina thing, they went to Williams right two
- 29:00Speaker 5: years ago as the top ten team after beating LSU.
- 29:02Speaker 2: I will say South and is a hard place to play.
- 29:06Speaker 5: That was a worse well probably worse, but they gotta
- 29:09Speaker 5: beat forty four to twenty, so it's and then you
- 29:11Speaker 5: get Tennessee at home before you close out with your
- 29:13Speaker 5: old you know, Big twelve rivals.
- 29:15Speaker 2: Chris Marler had these days locked on cocks.
- 29:19Speaker 5: We've got Bama slander and A and M slander in
- 29:22Speaker 5: the same segment. All right, we're gonna go to break.
- 29:27Speaker 2: Uh uh No.
- 29:29Speaker 4: I so to tell you the whether they're properly rated
- 29:33Speaker 4: or not, Vegas win total for them for Texas A
- 29:36Speaker 4: and M is eight and a half this year. Yeah,
- 29:38Speaker 4: so I know they won eleven last year. That's gonna
- 29:40Speaker 4: be a tough feed for them to get to. But
- 29:42Speaker 4: like from from an experience standpoint, a quarterback over there,
- 29:46Speaker 4: and we've seen him play well, he has experienced and
- 29:49Speaker 4: I would think just like in the progression, you're in
- 29:52Speaker 4: the same system with the same team, which is very
- 29:55Speaker 4: rare in college football for that long as a quarterback,
- 29:57Speaker 4: you are going to make some strides. And so we
- 30:00Speaker 4: had the talent to do it. And I got no
- 30:03Speaker 4: reason to say he's not going to be better this
- 30:06Speaker 4: year than he has been in the past.
- 30:07Speaker 2: So we'll see. I think this guy's kind of the
- 30:09Speaker 2: limit for them. We'll see.
- 30:10Speaker 4: It'll all come down to a couple of games in
- 30:11Speaker 4: that last three game stretch.
- 30:14Speaker 2: It's gonna be a tough one.
- 30:15Speaker 5: I agree, not for you're wrong, but.
- 30:17Speaker 4: Three games, all right, we'll go to break and we'll
- 30:20Speaker 4: talk who I think will be the most overrated team
- 30:23Speaker 4: in the SEC and we come back right here and
- 30:25Speaker 4: off the.
- 30:25Speaker 1: Bench after bench.
- 30:30Speaker 4: All right, if you've been putting off updating that old
- 30:33Speaker 4: bathtub or shower because you think it's going to take weeks,
- 30:36Speaker 4: I think it might be it might tear your house
- 30:38Speaker 4: apart or cost a fortune.
- 30:39Speaker 2: I've got good news people.

- 31:41Speaker 4: Day and night.
- 31:43Speaker 9: I toss a turn and I keep stressing my mind.
- 31:45Speaker 9: In mind, I look for peace, but see I don't
- 31:48Speaker 9: attain when I need the keys. The silly game we
- 31:52Speaker 9: play play. Now, look at this madness. The magnet keeps
- 31:58Speaker 9: attracting me. I tried to run to see I'm not
- 32:02Speaker 9: that fast. I think the first finished, last last.
- 32:07Speaker 4: I really did it all right, welcome back here off
- 32:10Speaker 4: the bench Friday morning. What time is It's eight thirty
- 32:14Speaker 4: eight in the morning.
- 32:18Speaker 2: Fired up.
- 32:19Speaker 4: If you're listening to us, we appreciate you joining in.
- 32:21Speaker 4: Maybe you've started the weekend a little bit early. Maybe

- 32:25Speaker 4: for no reason. Well congratulations, Yeah, what.
- 32:28Speaker 2: Did you just is that? Did you just put two celsius?
- 32:30Speaker 2: Isn't that small amount of water?
- 32:31Speaker 5: That's the normal amount.
- 32:34Speaker 2: Es?
- 32:35Speaker 5: Or I can go back to the Africa.
- 32:37Speaker 4: Less is more sometimes, but you already had good natural energy.
- 32:41Speaker 4: The doorphins flowing from flipping tires with Luke with.
- 32:46Speaker 5: Season looks on the board. Now what or what do
- 32:51Speaker 5: they call that?
- 32:53Speaker 6: The old switcheroo?
- 32:53Speaker 5: The old switcheroo? And we really killed it last segment.
- 32:59Speaker 5: I felt like, Oh, we were laughing a lot.
- 33:03Speaker 2: I was laughing.
- 33:04Speaker 5: I don't know by my success about you were crying
- 33:07Speaker 5: a lot like me.
- 33:09Speaker 6: Man, someone talks to me and they're like, I'm turning
- 33:12Speaker 6: this off and I said okay, and they said really
- 33:17Speaker 6: terrible and I put the voice that's.
- 33:21Speaker 5: My only thing I know, Yeah what okay? I mean?
- 33:28Speaker 5: Was it kaylen to? Was he upset?
- 33:30Speaker 6: Cal sense?
- 33:32Speaker 5: You guys have his number, but.
- 33:34Speaker 6: Well, you know I have a lot of people's numbers
- 33:36Speaker 6: that you probably don't have.
- 33:37Speaker 5: No big deal, dude, I got this new phone and
- 33:39Speaker 5: I lost I lost like three numbers and I don't know.
- 33:43Speaker 5: It's Billy Lucci, Josh Pate, and my uncle. Those are
- 33:46Speaker 5: like the main three that I said.
- 33:47Speaker 6: I feel like you can just leave Billy Lucci off
- 33:50Speaker 6: your phone. That's such a weird reactor.
- 33:54Speaker 5: He's so, he's so well, we're big Creed fans. We
- 33:56Speaker 5: do a lot of Creed stuff together.
- 34:01Speaker 6: But he came on this show during media days and
- 34:04Speaker 6: he was like, what did he say? I think Jake
- 34:07Speaker 6: asked him, like, what is the coolest sporting event you've
- 34:10Speaker 6: ever been to? And he was like, I went to
- 34:12Speaker 6: the World Cup and we went on a private plane
- 34:15Speaker 6: and this and that. And then after we went to
- 34:16Speaker 6: dinner and Drake was there and I was like, bro,
- 34:19Speaker 6: can you just like the most humble, bragging person I've
- 34:22Speaker 6: ever met in my life?
- 34:22Speaker 5: It's the least humble bragging. It's why I love him.
- 34:25Speaker 6: He's just bragging.
- 34:26Speaker 5: We had I had lunch with him a couple of
- 34:28Speaker 5: times and we were in in Tampa and it was like,
- 34:31Speaker 5: I don't remember how it even got brought up. And
- 34:33Speaker 5: he was like I could do eight pull ups easy,
- 34:37Speaker 5: and so you can't what what was happening right now?
- 34:41Speaker 9: Sir?
- 34:41Speaker 5: You don't get I pulled out all the cash at
- 34:44Speaker 5: my wallet, which was too much because we had gone
- 34:46Speaker 5: to the casino.
- 34:47Speaker 4: There was a playground right next to the hotel where
- 34:49Speaker 4: media was. You could have you could have gotten some
- 34:52Speaker 4: pull ups.
- 34:52Speaker 5: I was like, I'll bet you one hundred and twenty two.
- 34:54Speaker 6: Well, he looks like he's not allowed near a playground.
- 34:57Speaker 5: But the thousand dollars if it was anyone else i'd left.
- 35:01Speaker 5: That's good joke.
- 35:02Speaker 6: You have weird boundaries.
- 35:04Speaker 5: Yeah, fair, very fair, all right.
- 35:10Speaker 4: We so landra olmess most overrated, I think so Marler,
- 35:16Speaker 4: Alabama and A and M. The next thing, I'm going
- 35:20Speaker 4: to say that, I believe it's it's just because of
- 35:24Speaker 4: A how highly they are ranked Texas Longhorns. They are,
- 35:30Speaker 4: you know, being discussed as preseason number one. Potentially. I
- 35:35Speaker 4: do not think that if you're branking somebody number one,
- 35:38Speaker 4: you were saying, I think this is going to be
- 35:40Speaker 4: the national champion. Basically, I don't think they are going
- 35:43Speaker 4: to do that. I don't think they have the DNA
- 35:44Speaker 4: to do that. I don't think Sarkeesian has the DNA
- 35:46Speaker 4: to do that hadn't proven it at least. I think
- 35:49Speaker 4: he's a very good coach. I don't know if he's
- 35:51Speaker 4: got the there's something about it. I don't know's there's
- 35:54Speaker 4: a temperament about it. Ever since he yelled at that
- 35:56Speaker 4: one guy holding him back in the tunnel, I just
- 36:00Speaker 4: felt like they might not have the temperament over there now.
- 36:02Speaker 4: I think Arch is where last year he was overhyped
- 36:07Speaker 4: and over talked about.
- 36:08Speaker 2: I think he's a little bit under talked about this year.
- 36:11Speaker 4: I think he is a very good quarterback, but I
- 36:14Speaker 4: just don't know if Texas has built the DNA to
- 36:18Speaker 4: last the length of a season plus playoffs and when
- 36:21Speaker 4: weekend week out. Now, Marlo, you said they're gonna go
- 36:24Speaker 4: to twelve and oh, it's.
- 36:25Speaker 5: My worst take.
- 36:26Speaker 4: It's a pretty It is a pretty tough schedule to
- 36:29Speaker 4: get through.
- 36:30Speaker 5: It is the hardest schedule in the country, without a doubt.
- 36:35Speaker 6: They always had soft schedules.
- 36:37Speaker 5: They have, yeah, but this year is not like that.
- 36:39Speaker 4: They play they didn't want to play Texas Tech in
- 36:42Speaker 4: too much notice.
- 36:43Speaker 5: That's the dumbest argument. They cannot. First off, Texas Tech
- 36:47Speaker 5: doesn't play a single team ranks instide of the time.
- 36:49Speaker 2: Okay, don't get distracted.
- 36:51Speaker 5: Okay, sorry, the get Ohio State. They get him at
- 36:54Speaker 5: home though they don't have a single FCS opponent. They
- 36:56Speaker 5: play eleven. Uh is eleven? No, they played ten.
- 37:01Speaker 2: Power for they do they played.
- 37:02Speaker 4: They start with Texas State and then Week three they
- 37:04Speaker 4: have University of Texas San Antonio.
- 37:06Speaker 5: In between that they play Ohio State road.
- 37:11Speaker 4: That four game stretch after starting Week four at Tennessee.
- 37:14Speaker 4: But then they got three home games Oklahoma Florida and
- 37:18Speaker 4: Ole miss all favorable.
- 37:19Speaker 5: Met Huh, Oklahoma's not a home home game.
- 37:21Speaker 2: Oh, I'm sorry, Yes it is a it's in Dallas.
- 37:25Speaker 6: The Cotton Bowl.
- 37:26Speaker 2: Yeah, yep, Cotton Bowl.
- 37:27Speaker 4: And I think Oklahoma is I think Oklahoma's going to
- 37:29Speaker 4: win that game because I think Oklahoma's going to be
- 37:33Speaker 4: very dangerous. That was our underrated pick yesterday. And then
- 37:36Speaker 4: they have another stretch later in the season, which is
- 37:39Speaker 4: at Missouri at LSU home agains arg and so I
- 37:42Speaker 4: will skip that one, and then at Texas A and
- 37:44Speaker 4: M to finish the season. So they have a they
- 37:46Speaker 4: have two really tough stretches in there, and then outside
- 37:49Speaker 4: of those two tough stretches, they have Ohio State, who's
- 37:52Speaker 4: the other team that people are talking about being number
- 37:54Speaker 4: one before the season. So do I think they're going
- 37:57Speaker 4: to be really good? Yeah, of course they're gonna be
- 37:59Speaker 4: really good. They got a lot of talent, they got
- 38:01Speaker 4: a great they got a really good quarterback. But do
- 38:05Speaker 4: I think they're going to win the national championship, which
- 38:08Speaker 4: a lot of people are again talking about number one
- 38:10Speaker 4: in the country.
- 38:11Speaker 2: That means you.
- 38:12Speaker 4: Think they're going to win the national championship? I don't
- 38:16Speaker 4: think they are not going to meet that expectation. I
- 38:18Speaker 4: just don't think they have built yet that DNA in Texas.
- 38:21Speaker 4: So until they proved me wrong, I will always doubt
- 38:24Speaker 4: that they can win it all.
- 38:25Speaker 5: I think that's fair. I also think that the way
- 38:29Speaker 5: that this roster's built got You've got four potential top
- 38:35Speaker 5: fifteen overall picks in the NFL draft next year, and
- 38:38Speaker 5: they're all of the most important positions.
- 38:40Speaker 6: What's their blue chip ratio?
- 38:42Speaker 5: It's actually not that high. It's actually fit in the SEC.
- 38:44Speaker 5: According to what I saw yesterday from Hunt and Rally.
- 38:48Speaker 5: I believe it is home we pulled up here.
- 38:49Speaker 6: I don't actually care.
- 38:50Speaker 5: Oh okay, well, yes there's a blue ship ratio.
- 38:54Speaker 2: That's a thing.
- 38:55Speaker 5: It's been like the like fail proof way to figure
- 38:58Speaker 5: out who's going to compete for national title every here
- 39:00Speaker 5: into Indiana.
- 39:00Speaker 2: The fail proof or full proof?
- 39:02Speaker 6: I think I think it's full proof.
- 39:04Speaker 5: Oh I've put fail proof in my article. That's not good,
- 39:06Speaker 5: and I changed it from full proof. What an idiot?
- 39:08Speaker 2: But fail proof does make sense though, right, But I
- 39:11Speaker 2: think the.
- 39:12Speaker 5: Proof you guys are really supportive today. So I think
- 39:17Speaker 5: that the biggest thing for me is they went to
- 39:19Speaker 5: the portal. They got two really good running backs. This
- 39:22Speaker 5: is a yeah, I mean fair actually kind of shiver.
- 39:28Speaker 5: Cam Coleman, top receiver, potentially probably the number two receiver
- 39:32Speaker 5: in the NFL draft nextually ran Jeremi Smith Arch Banning,
- 39:36Speaker 5: who I think might come back for another year. Uh,
- 39:39Speaker 5: he could be one of the top quarterbacks.
- 39:40Speaker 4: Well, and why would you even make that comment. You
- 39:42Speaker 4: don't even know how he's gonna play this year. It's
- 39:45Speaker 4: like last year people saying he's gonna be the number
- 39:47Speaker 4: one pick in the twenty twenty six draft before last season.
- 39:50Speaker 2: Yeah, like you don't know. It's a big good enough
- 39:52Speaker 2: to be in the NFL.
- 39:53Speaker 5: No, that's fair. I thought it'd be. I said it
- 39:55Speaker 5: because I thought it'd be a really hot take. Okay, cool,
- 39:58Speaker 5: And then you have So here's the big thing with Texas.
- 40:01Speaker 5: Why they failed last year because that offensive line was
- 40:03Speaker 5: not very good and they lost a lot. They lost
- 40:04Speaker 5: four players to the NFL Draft, and they took a
- 40:07Speaker 5: giant step back. This year. They have one of the
- 40:08Speaker 5: better offensive lines, not only the SEC but the country.
- 40:12Speaker 5: They get two running backs in the portal. That should
- 40:14Speaker 5: be like like one of the big reasons for Sarks
- 40:17Speaker 5: offense success every years. A lot of people think it's like,
- 40:20Speaker 5: you know, they're throwing the ball over the field. It's
- 40:22Speaker 5: predicate up the run. They've had an average of twenty
- 40:24Speaker 5: four hundred yards rushing as a team in his first
- 40:27Speaker 5: I think four seasons he was in Texas. Last year
- 40:30Speaker 5: they had sixteen hundred. It's like a significant drop off.
- 40:33Speaker 5: I think they get back to that this year behind
- 40:34Speaker 5: a better offensive line. They've got weapons everywhere, Colin Simmons,
- 40:37Speaker 5: theyll be the best edge rusher, besign, Dylan Stewart.
- 40:40Speaker 4: They're going to be really good. But they're looking at
- 40:43Speaker 4: their schedule. There is a real opportunity that they start
- 40:45Speaker 4: the year three and two.
- 40:46Speaker 5: That's very fair. That game at Tennessee is not easy.
- 40:50Speaker 4: The game at Tennessee is absolutely not going to be easy.
- 40:52Speaker 4: Now to your point, like they're really good, yeah, yeah,
- 40:56Speaker 4: but to be ranked number one going into the year,
- 40:59Speaker 4: there's a real chance that they're going to start the
- 41:01Speaker 4: season out three. A lot I don't they're talking about
- 41:06Speaker 4: people are going back and forth with their number one.
- 41:08Speaker 6: In Georgia number one, oh like normally not in the
- 41:11Speaker 6: secon the entire country country. Yeah, someone who thought Texas
- 41:16Speaker 6: was overrated last season. I don't think they are this season.
- 41:20Speaker 6: But and the offensive line was the like basically the
- 41:24Speaker 6: entire reason I thought they were last season, and they
- 41:27Speaker 6: lost some wide receivers.
- 41:28Speaker 4: Well, we will find out week two, September twelfth, they
- 41:31Speaker 4: will take on Ohio State, so we will see how
- 41:34Speaker 4: good they are or are not very quickly in the season.
- 41:37Speaker 2: So all right, we're gonna come back. Finish out our
- 41:39Speaker 2: number two right here and.
- 41:39Speaker 1: Off the match, off the bench.
- 41:43Speaker 2: Cannaba, canniball season.
- 41:47Speaker 5: That's waterfall for well.
- 41:52Speaker 4: At Russell Pols. They could also make a waterfall in
- 41:54Speaker 4: your backyard.
- 41:55Speaker 2: Yeah. They can really do anything.
- 41:57Speaker 4: If you want like a square pool or just like
- 41:59Speaker 4: a guinea beach, whatever it is like, they can do it.
- 42:03Speaker 2: They can do whatever you want.
- 42:04Speaker 4: Or if you want a resort style pool, you want
- 42:06Speaker 4: a lazy river, you want a waterfall, maybe it's a grotto.
- 42:09Speaker 2: Can I get a hot tub? Somebody? Russell Pools can
- 42:12Speaker 2: do it.
- 42:12Speaker 4: They got two landscape architects on staff, so if you
- 42:15Speaker 4: go to them, you call them and say, hey, I
- 42:16Speaker 4: gotta I've been wanting to do a pool in the
- 42:18Speaker 4: backyard for a long time.
- 42:19Speaker 2: Can you help me?
- 42:20Speaker 4: Yeah? Well, they're gonna come out to you else. They're
- 42:22Speaker 4: gonna look at yourpace. They're gonna talk to you the
- 42:24Speaker 4: landscape architect. They're gonna take your dream to reality. They're
- 42:26Speaker 4: gonna draw it, they're gonna design it. They're gonna engineer it,
- 42:29Speaker 4: build it, maintain it. They can literally do everything. And
- 42:32Speaker 4: also they can renovate. If you bought a house with
- 42:34Speaker 4: an old pool, they can renovate it and make it
- 42:35Speaker 4: look incredible.
- 42:37Speaker 2: Right over there at Russell Pools.
- 42:38Speaker 4: Go to Russell Pools dot Com.
- 43:06Speaker 1: From the locker room to the airwaves, it's off the
- 43:09Speaker 1: Bench with Jacob Hester and Matt Flynn.
- 43:16Speaker 4: All right, welcome back here off the bench. We are
- 43:18Speaker 4: closing out our number two tom flies. When you're having fun,
- 43:22Speaker 4: a lot of sec taler, a lot of.
- 43:23Speaker 5: Sports talk today on the sports talk show.
- 43:27Speaker 2: Uh, it's not normal for.
- 43:30Speaker 5: Off the bench sprinkled and some stuff.
- 43:34Speaker 2: A bunch of jokes. Did y'all see the Uh?
- 43:38Speaker 4: The video released by the Saints yesterday Drew Brees calling
- 43:41Speaker 4: or facetimeing Sean Payton asking him to be you know,
- 43:46Speaker 4: introduce him at his Hall of Fame induction.
- 43:49Speaker 2: I was watching it.
- 43:50Speaker 4: I was like, man, it's a nice moment, Like Champagne's
- 43:52Speaker 4: getting emotional, always crying remem rightfully. So it's a it's
- 43:54Speaker 4: a big deal. It's a big deal. It's a big
- 43:56Speaker 4: deal to be asked. Big deal for a quarterback that
- 43:59Speaker 4: you co for a long time. Makes the NFL Hall
- 44:03Speaker 4: of Fame probably the biggest single honor that a player
- 44:07Speaker 4: can get in all of tackle football. Yeah, as being
- 44:11Speaker 4: an NFL Hall of Famer makes sense. My second thought
- 44:16Speaker 4: was like, wow, he didn't give him a lot of
- 44:18Speaker 4: heads up.
- 44:20Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 44:21Speaker 4: True, they start training camp. He's a head coach for
- 44:24Speaker 4: the Broncos. That speech isn't like a thirty second Hey
- 44:28Speaker 4: Drew buries everybody.
- 44:30Speaker 2: Like it's a speech speech.
- 44:31Speaker 4: Yeah, Like it's a long situation and there's a lot
- 44:34Speaker 4: of pressure that's put on that. Like if I was
- 44:37Speaker 4: doing it, I'd want at least a month to start writing.
- 44:41Speaker 4: Get with my friend ch at gpt really work out
- 44:43Speaker 4: the kinks, you know what I mean. You didn't give
- 44:46Speaker 4: him a lot of heads up. The induction is August eighth, Yeah,
- 44:52Speaker 4: it's true, Sunday thirty first right now, So it's next
- 44:56Speaker 4: Saturday Saturday. Yeah, it's next Saturday.
- 45:00Speaker 5: Games on Sunday.
- 45:01Speaker 2: Yeah, yep, yep.
- 45:05Speaker 5: Yeah, that's not a lot of time. Surely he had
- 45:08Speaker 5: not a lot of that.
- 45:08Speaker 2: Maybe is this it was it a pre recorded thing?
- 45:10Speaker 4: You gotta wonder, But yeah, they're about to start training camp,
- 45:14Speaker 4: so Sean Payton will be in training game. He will
- 45:16Speaker 4: have to leave his team for a day. Probably needed
- 45:19Speaker 4: to know that a little bit before. So I but
- 45:24Speaker 4: I was, how do you do? Have you ever given
- 45:26Speaker 4: him to like give a speech? Yeah, I'm sure, Well
- 45:31Speaker 4: you did do stand up? Were you ever nervous?
- 45:34Speaker 1: Uh?
- 45:35Speaker 5: I mean yeah, but like usually.
- 45:37Speaker 2: But you you wake up nervous.
- 45:39Speaker 5: When it was like yeah, when it was time to
- 45:41Speaker 5: like actually go and say, I was always pretty I
- 45:44Speaker 5: felt fun.
- 45:45Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 45:45Speaker 4: So I've given some speeches and like, public speaking is
- 45:47Speaker 4: not my thing. I've actually gotten since I've been on radio,
- 45:50Speaker 4: been better at speaking in public or groups.
- 45:53Speaker 2: But yeah, it's never been my thing.
- 45:55Speaker 4: Now I think I've done it, you know, when I
- 45:57Speaker 4: have proper time to like plan it out, which I
- 46:00Speaker 4: don't plan like them.
- 46:02Speaker 2: She might be shocked. I'm not the biggest planner.
- 46:04Speaker 5: You giz are awesome?
- 46:06Speaker 2: Well yeah, well there's not all you know, might shock
- 46:09Speaker 2: some people. Not a lot of time put into it, Yeah,
- 46:12Speaker 2: but you know it is what it is.
- 46:14Speaker 4: But anyway, it's gonna be an awesome And Drew Brees,
- 46:16Speaker 4: congrats to him again from everybody, all the Saints fans
- 46:19Speaker 4: super fired up for the his all fame. No what
- 46:24Speaker 4: you cannot claim that you're happy for Drew Brees.
- 46:28Speaker 5: Why you can't be happy for people? Gratulations?
- 46:31Speaker 4: And I hope Sean Payton on a week's notice you
- 46:33Speaker 4: kill it and you can leave your team.
- 46:34Speaker 2: It's gonna be fine. Stick with us right in off
