SPEAKER_01: Hi, and welcome to this episode of Assassin's Sips.
0:13
SPEAKER_01: Today we're talking about season two, episode seven of Good Girls, the Dubby.
0:21
SPEAKER_01: I'm Lisa and I am sipping on sipping on some jacked up ice coffee because it's been a weekend.
0:30
SPEAKER_01: It's October, it's spooky season, and I just spent my whole weekend at Six Flags.
0:36
SPEAKER_01: I'm tired.
0:44
SPEAKER_00: And I'm Agnes, and I am drinking my new favorite drink, thank you, Starbucks Birthday Rewards.
0:53
SPEAKER_00: And it's a um venti iced brown sugar oat shaken espresso with vanilla cream foam vanilla cream foam and white chocolate mocha.
1:08
SPEAKER_01: That sounds like a cavity in a cup, but also delicious.
1:12
SPEAKER_00: So I get the extra shot.
1:15
SPEAKER_00: And because it's a shaking espresso, you can't like do light ice.
1:19
SPEAKER_00: And I'm a real I'm really bad with letting my my ice melt because I'm I drink it, I like it, I get sidetracked.
1:28
SPEAKER_00: So by the time it gets to like the bottom, it's not so sweet.
1:33
SPEAKER_00: So it works out good for me.
1:35
SPEAKER_00: But this is not my new drink, it's a very expensive drink, um, but I like it.
1:40
SPEAKER_00: I only tried it because it was a free drink.
1:44
SPEAKER_00: But yeah, I co-sign it.
1:46
SPEAKER_00: I think everyone should just try it.
1:47
SPEAKER_00: If you have the Starbucks app, it does like the secret menu drinks.
1:52
SPEAKER_00: And this was one of the suggestions, and I was like, ooh, that hits.
1:57
SPEAKER_00: So yeah.
1:59
SPEAKER_01: Maybe, maybe at one point I'll end up at a Starbucks and I'll taste it.
2:03
SPEAKER_00: Maybe.
2:05
SPEAKER_01: Maybe.
2:06
SPEAKER_01: I don't know.
2:07
SPEAKER_01: I don't know if I plan to spend any time there in the near future.
2:11
SPEAKER_00: And you know, anything could happen.
2:13
SPEAKER_00: It's like Vegas.
2:14
SPEAKER_00: Anything could happen.
2:18
SPEAKER_00: So, hot takes?
2:22
SPEAKER_01: Did Rio's voice sound odd to you this episode?
2:24
SPEAKER_01: I think he had a cold.
2:25
SPEAKER_01: He sounded like he was okay.
2:28
SPEAKER_00: I feel like he he was sick and he's like the show must go on.
2:32
SPEAKER_01: Uh-huh.
2:32
SPEAKER_01: Okay.
2:33
SPEAKER_01: That's exactly what I was thinking.
2:35
SPEAKER_01: I was like, is he he's either sick or he's trying real hard to sound more menacing?
2:38
SPEAKER_00: And I'm like, I don't care whichever one it is.
2:42
SPEAKER_01: I just hope you're sick.
2:44
SPEAKER_00: That was it.
2:45
SPEAKER_00: But he wasn't in there a lot.
2:47
SPEAKER_00: Um I have a feeling.
2:49
SPEAKER_00: I think in my head he was sick, and he's like, I am a professional, and I'm the show must go on, and we will work through this.
2:57
SPEAKER_01: I mean, but every episode, he's only in there for a matter of minutes.
3:01
SPEAKER_00: So I feel like this was less, though.
3:03
SPEAKER_00: I feel like I didn't see him that much this episode.
3:06
SPEAKER_00: I feel like I saw him less this episode.
3:09
SPEAKER_00: I don't know.
3:09
SPEAKER_00: Maybe because this never too much Rio.
3:13
SPEAKER_00: Never enough.
3:14
SPEAKER_00: Never enough.
3:14
SPEAKER_00: Okay.
3:15
SPEAKER_00: Never enough.
3:17
SPEAKER_00: Did you ever see Graceland?
3:20
SPEAKER_00: No.
3:21
SPEAKER_00: So it was like it was a show on USA with undercover cops living like from different um different um organizations like ATF, FBI, you know, different undercovers living in one house.
3:35
SPEAKER_00: And he was a character he played a character in the show, but his character was real just like goofy and chill and you know, totally different character.
3:46
SPEAKER_00: And he looks so different.
3:48
SPEAKER_00: It's funny because he looks the same, but he doesn't look the same because it's a different character.
3:52
SPEAKER_00: It's funny how that that works.
3:56
SPEAKER_01: No, I think that that's also the mark of a good actor when I'm in two different settings and it's almost like two different people.
4:05
SPEAKER_01: It's like, wow, they really do take on the character that they're playing.
4:13
SPEAKER_00: Any other hot takes other than his voice?
4:16
SPEAKER_00: Nope.
4:18
SPEAKER_00: I wanted my hot take, I wanted to smack Beth in the fucking head for being so fucking stupid.
4:27
SPEAKER_01: Well, obviously.
4:28
SPEAKER_01: I just felt like that was a given.
4:30
SPEAKER_00: I was like, yeah, well, well, yeah.
4:32
SPEAKER_00: Other than that, that was it.
4:36
SPEAKER_00: This episode was.
4:37
SPEAKER_01: Dean's annoying.
4:39
SPEAKER_01: Beth's is Dean is annoying, Beth is annoying.
4:44
SPEAKER_01: Okay.
4:46
SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
4:47
SPEAKER_01: Like if you needed a second hot take.
4:50
SPEAKER_00: Everyone's annoying.
4:51
SPEAKER_00: You saw like me doing um lost.
4:54
SPEAKER_00: Everyone's annoying.
4:55
SPEAKER_00: This is pissing me off.
4:56
SPEAKER_00: I hit you all.
5:00
SPEAKER_00: Oh.
5:01
SPEAKER_00: How does it feel to give me some of me back to me?
5:05
SPEAKER_00: That didn't come out right, but you know what I mean.
5:07
SPEAKER_00: Mm-hmm.
5:08
SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
5:09
SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
5:10
SPEAKER_00: Kind of like, you know, vindication, like, huh.
5:17
SPEAKER_00: In case you guys can't see this, because you can't, because it's audio, Lisa's just like non-commental.
5:22
SPEAKER_00: Okay.
5:23
SPEAKER_00: I shrugged.
5:27
SPEAKER_00: So this scene opens up with Beth waking up at five o'clock in the morning to go to work, leaving little post-it notes on the kids.
5:39
SPEAKER_01: I would not want to wake up with post-it notes on my body.
5:42
SPEAKER_00: I mean, you're also not like a 10-year-old, so maybe, you know.
5:47
SPEAKER_00: It's cute.
5:48
SPEAKER_01: Maybe I will post that clip.
5:50
SPEAKER_01: I look like a hot mess.
5:52
SPEAKER_01: I mean, I literally like rolled out of bed like this.
5:56
SPEAKER_01: I think that's a good My hair's so frizzy from yesterday from the humidity.
6:03
SPEAKER_01: Cause it was hot.
6:04
SPEAKER_01: It was actually hot.
6:05
SPEAKER_01: Um, and then being on the rides like flapping in the wind.
6:11
SPEAKER_00: You're gonna put your hair in a ponytail?
6:12
SPEAKER_00: I would be afraid that my hair would get caught in a mechanism.
6:16
SPEAKER_01: I was, and I always do.
6:18
SPEAKER_01: And then I started noticing yesterday, I was like, all these bitches have long hair.
6:26
SPEAKER_01: Not one of them is putting it up.
6:28
SPEAKER_01: And then one lady had her hair was so long, like I mean, it was down past her ass.
6:36
SPEAKER_01: But she had it in a ponytail, but I'm like, but what's the difference?
6:39
SPEAKER_00: Well, it's that long.
6:40
SPEAKER_01: Like even in a ponytail, it would be longer than so I was like, they're not telling me, I was like, I have I have such like PTSD from the free fall and all those rumors of like people getting decapitated because they were like, you know, you can't get on with your hair if your hair is not up, and blah blah blah.
7:01
SPEAKER_01: And I was like, I know that it's probably all fake.
7:05
SPEAKER_01: But I feel like as a kid who grew up in that era, I just was just, yeah.
7:12
SPEAKER_00: But just in my head, I'm like, is it likely to happen?
7:15
SPEAKER_00: No, but let me just mitigate the possibility the possibility it happening.
7:19
SPEAKER_00: That's just me, because I'm like, I'm all about mitigating shit.
7:23
SPEAKER_00: You can't control everything.
7:25
SPEAKER_01: I know, but my daughter was conquering all her fears yesterday and riding new rides, and I was like, you know what?
7:32
SPEAKER_01: I got an El Toro and I was like, I'm leaving my hair out.
7:34
SPEAKER_01: Fuck this.
7:35
SPEAKER_01: If I die, I die.
7:37
SPEAKER_01: What better place than to sue?
7:42
SPEAKER_00: I mean, I mean, I definitely know girls will lead the charge and make sure that's taken care of.
7:51
SPEAKER_00: And they're just grab a nearby adult, like, okay, this is what you're gonna do.
7:54
SPEAKER_00: I'm gonna need you to do X, Y, and Z.
7:56
SPEAKER_00: Thanks.
7:57
SPEAKER_00: I know.
7:57
SPEAKER_00: Oh, well, well, you know, one of the things that we're gonna do is the oldest is 18, so she can do it.
8:01
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, the adult.
8:03
SPEAKER_01: The middle one is just gonna be like, all right, this is what's gonna happen now.
8:06
SPEAKER_00: Right, but she had to use the oldest to just to put a John Hancock on everything.
8:12
SPEAKER_00: Right, you know, because right, right, yeah.
8:13
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
8:14
SPEAKER_00: So those two together, you're good.
8:16
SPEAKER_00: I'm good.
8:17
SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
8:18
SPEAKER_00: So not you, but the the family.
8:23
SPEAKER_01: I don't know.
8:23
SPEAKER_01: I'll be I'll be fine because I'll I'll I'll be just cremate me, throw me off a cliff towards some pretty water.
8:29
SPEAKER_01: I'm I'm good.
8:32
SPEAKER_00: So do you want us to like cremate you and throw you off or just throw your head this three-point shot?
8:39
SPEAKER_00: It's cheaper.
8:40
SPEAKER_01: You know what?
8:41
SPEAKER_01: Like, I had life insurance.
8:42
SPEAKER_01: Don't waste too much of it on on my disposal.
8:45
SPEAKER_01: I don't need it.
8:46
SPEAKER_01: I'm dead.
8:46
SPEAKER_01: I don't care.
8:47
SPEAKER_00: So who has the better hook shot?
8:50
SPEAKER_01: Find find a really, really nice hill like that goes down out into water or something, or a canyon or whatever.
9:00
SPEAKER_01: Just put that finger to your nose, see how fast I can go.
9:03
SPEAKER_01: And just like bullet ball Lisa.
9:05
SPEAKER_00: You will fucking enjoy that.
9:07
SPEAKER_01: I mean, I'm sad.
9:09
SPEAKER_01: If I die on a ride, I mean, what better way to be disposed of, right?
9:13
SPEAKER_01: On another on another ride.
9:19
SPEAKER_01: Don't waste money on it.
9:21
SPEAKER_01: Keep it, keep it.
9:22
SPEAKER_01: Go to college, do something good, buy a high car, enjoy it.
9:25
SPEAKER_01: I don't need it.
9:26
SPEAKER_01: I don't need any not one cent of it.
9:28
SPEAKER_01: Don't waste it on me.
9:29
SPEAKER_00: Don't waste it on a memorial or a service.
9:32
SPEAKER_01: Cut off a finger and save it if you care that much.
9:34
SPEAKER_01: I mean, ask Rio how to keep a body.
9:39
SPEAKER_00: I can help with that if you need help.
9:41
SPEAKER_00: Tell the girls I got their backs.
9:43
SPEAKER_00: Um or Mary Pat.
9:47
SPEAKER_01: No, do not ask Mary Pat.
9:49
SPEAKER_01: Ask, I'm just saying, maybe ask Rio, like, okay, well, we want to keep parts of her body.
9:54
SPEAKER_01: Oh, but because he kept the whole body, so he's right.
9:56
SPEAKER_00: So like right, right.
9:58
SPEAKER_01: Right.
9:58
SPEAKER_01: What's the best way to preserve it?
10:01
SPEAKER_01: You know.
10:04
SPEAKER_00: Anyway.
10:06
SPEAKER_00: I love that little segue out, you know, a little tangent we go on.
10:13
SPEAKER_00: Um, so yeah, Beth is leaving post-it notes in the morning for the kids.
10:18
SPEAKER_00: You see, Dean in and out with the kids doing his stuff, and the scene with him just standing there and life going past him.
10:25
SPEAKER_00: I was like, that's how we feel as mothers all day, every day.
10:28
SPEAKER_00: But you know, same.
10:30
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I was thinking the same thing.
10:33
SPEAKER_00: Um, then Beth comes home and she does, you know, her putting away the stacks and stacks of cash and suit boxes.
10:42
SPEAKER_00: And you see this transpire like day in and day out, in and out.
10:47
SPEAKER_01: I do notice though, that every morning when the alarm went off, you would see the clock and it would say 5 a.m.
10:56
SPEAKER_01: But when she came home and she's sitting in the bed and she's doing the calendar and and all that stuff, you never saw the clock.
11:02
SPEAKER_01: Because I was like, okay, but I mean, I know you get the feeling that it's late because the kids are already in bed, the house is quiet.
11:08
SPEAKER_01: I I'm guessing Dean is already asleep too.
11:11
SPEAKER_01: But I was just curious, like I just noticed that that in the evenings, you didn't see the clock.
11:18
SPEAKER_01: You only saw it in the morning.
11:20
SPEAKER_00: I think it was intentional because you don't see time until it's time for you, until you lose it.
11:27
SPEAKER_00: Meaning you wake up in the morning like, fuck, it's five o'clock.
11:31
SPEAKER_00: And then next thing you know, it's five o'clock again.
11:35
SPEAKER_00: And it's five o'clock again.
11:37
SPEAKER_00: You're like, what the fuck?
11:41
SPEAKER_00: One of the nights, one of the morning, she's actually going to put a little post-it on the kids, and the daughter, I don't know, and the kids' names has a post-it for her.
11:50
SPEAKER_00: It's like, would you come?
11:51
SPEAKER_00: Are you coming to my dance recital?
11:54
SPEAKER_00: That was so sad.
11:55
SPEAKER_00: It was very sad.
11:57
SPEAKER_00: When our husbands are out working and doing the same kind of shifts, the kids miss their fathers, yes, but they don't get that same expectation of having to be at recitals and be there as mothers do.
12:15
SPEAKER_01: I disagree.
12:16
SPEAKER_01: I disagree.
12:18
SPEAKER_01: I disagree with your wording.
12:21
SPEAKER_01: Because if from the time that that child was born, Beth would have been the one working outside the house and Dean would have been the one working inside the house, I don't think the kid would have had the same reaction.
12:37
SPEAKER_01: Because she would have already not expected Beth to attend.
12:43
SPEAKER_01: Or Beth, you know what I mean?
12:45
SPEAKER_01: Or or so I think that now that Beth had been the one being present and now it's a shift, it's harder for the kids because now it's like, well, wait a minute, we always know mommy to be here.
12:59
SPEAKER_01: And so daddy being here, fine, plus, but it's not what they've been accustomed to.
13:08
SPEAKER_01: So I think that it's it's like it's not because it's mommy, it's because that's what they've known.
13:16
SPEAKER_00: I wasn't talking about the kid.
13:17
SPEAKER_00: That's why I said society's expectation.
13:20
SPEAKER_01: Oh, sorry, I thought you said the I thought you meant the kid.
13:23
SPEAKER_00: She comes home that same night and she's putting up the last deck of shoeboxes full of cash, and of course, it all comes tumbling down.
13:33
SPEAKER_00: And you've got the next thing you see, all three of them just walk into the backyard with shovels.
13:38
SPEAKER_00: And then you're like, I'm like, oh, Lisa, this is my Aunt Lisa's alley with the shovels.
13:43
SPEAKER_00: And I feel like three shovels.
13:46
SPEAKER_00: Three shovels.
13:48
SPEAKER_00: I mean, just in case you couldn't tell, I'm pretty sure they had to bury the money.
13:52
SPEAKER_00: Um, because it kind of like goes into like the opening credits at that point.
13:55
SPEAKER_00: You just see them digging.
13:57
SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
13:58
SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
13:59
SPEAKER_01: I mean, I just feel like also they pick such random spots.
14:04
SPEAKER_01: It's like my weirdo neighbors just planting random flowers like and solar lights randomly across their yard in their front lawn.
14:13
SPEAKER_01: There's just no rhyme or reason to wear.
14:15
SPEAKER_00: I mean, the only thing that has some kind of sense of intentionalism.
14:22
SPEAKER_00: Is that a word?
14:22
SPEAKER_00: It is now.
14:23
SPEAKER_00: Was that the fact there was like two, then one.
14:27
SPEAKER_00: Like, no, you have like a backup, like the singer in the front of a triangle, and then the two in the back.
14:34
SPEAKER_00: That I mean, I feel like maybe she has plans to plant something there, or I don't know.
14:40
SPEAKER_00: But but yeah, it was it seemed completely random.
14:43
SPEAKER_01: They have such a huge yard.
14:44
SPEAKER_01: I would have gone all the way towards the back where there's less chance of someone noticing a big old hole that was just dug in the ground.
14:55
SPEAKER_01: Because there's grass.
14:56
SPEAKER_01: They're gonna notice.
14:57
SPEAKER_01: You're not gonna be able to put the grass back down like that.
15:02
SPEAKER_00: But it to be fair, it also gave a more dramatic um scene to have them smack there in the middle.
15:09
SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
15:11
SPEAKER_00: I have a feeling we're gonna see like something like the next upcoming episodes, like a random garden happening there.
15:20
SPEAKER_00: You're like, wait, where did that come from?
15:22
SPEAKER_00: Like it's not gonna be said, it'll just be there.
15:25
SPEAKER_00: Like, I don't know.
15:28
SPEAKER_00: Because that's arts and craftsy kind of Bethy.
15:32
SPEAKER_00: She shows up to the recital, and as soon as as soon as she sits down, she gets she gets summoned, and we all know who she's who's summoning her.
15:43
SPEAKER_00: Okay, so this is the first thing that kind of annoyed me about Beth.
15:47
SPEAKER_00: She didn't make a delivery.
15:49
SPEAKER_00: She goes, Look, I'm with my family.
15:51
SPEAKER_00: He's like, You're a drug dealer.
15:54
SPEAKER_00: Oh no, he says that afterwards.
15:56
SPEAKER_00: I'm sorry, my bad.
15:57
SPEAKER_01: Well, yeah.
15:58
SPEAKER_00: But he said, like, he's like, well, UPS or FedEx, everyone sleeps with delivering the with delivering the packages.
16:06
SPEAKER_00: She goes, then you do it.
16:07
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, and he's like, it's just like, right.
16:11
SPEAKER_01: And then he's like, I'm gonna keep 100%.
16:14
SPEAKER_01: And she's like shocked at this.
16:17
SPEAKER_01: Why are you shocked?
16:19
SPEAKER_00: Right, you didn't do your part.
16:20
SPEAKER_00: Why would you give 50% of this?
16:22
SPEAKER_00: You didn't do your part.
16:24
SPEAKER_01: Right.
16:25
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I don't I don't know.
16:27
SPEAKER_01: I I don't know what she was thinking.
16:30
SPEAKER_00: She wasn't, and I was uh this had me like, I'm like, oh come on, Beth.
16:33
SPEAKER_00: You can't be a badass boss bitch drug dealer, and not expect it to to be things that you you're gonna have to lose out on.
16:42
SPEAKER_00: There will be sacrifices.
16:47
SPEAKER_00: Right.
16:48
SPEAKER_00: When she makes it back into the event space, of course she missed everything.
17:20
SPEAKER_01: And I think she should have lied.
17:22
SPEAKER_01: I mean, um I'm big on like being honest with your kids, but there are some lies that like when you think about it, like the lies of kindness, yeah.
17:34
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, she would have funny.
17:36
SPEAKER_01: I I saw from the back, I didn't miss it.
17:40
SPEAKER_01: And I'm sure she heard when everyone else was like, what was your favorite part?
17:44
SPEAKER_01: Like the spinning, I'm sure she could have been like, I love the spinning part too.
17:48
SPEAKER_01: And the truth is, she did see like a little piece of it before she went out.
17:53
SPEAKER_01: So, you know, just like the kid would have been happy that the mother didn't miss it.
18:00
SPEAKER_00: I think I expected her to come up with like a bullshit lie.
18:03
SPEAKER_00: So I was kind of shocked when she's like, Oh yeah, I missed it, or we're not missing, but she this, you know.
18:09
unknown: Right.
18:09
SPEAKER_00: She's like, um, that was the opportunity that you didn't get.
18:12
SPEAKER_01: She was like, I'm sure it was great, or something like that.
18:15
SPEAKER_01: But you could have just told the kid that you saw it and the kid would have felt better and be like, no, I did see it.
18:21
SPEAKER_01: I just had to run to the bathroom, or whatever, you know.
18:27
SPEAKER_00: But that's my two cents.
18:30
SPEAKER_00: That's but that's both of our two cents, because I concur.
18:34
SPEAKER_00: Because I really expected that to come out of her mouth.
18:36
SPEAKER_00: I I was like, oh, she's just this is what every parent does, you know, to protect our kids and their feelings.
18:43
SPEAKER_00: But no, she did take that hint.
18:45
SPEAKER_01: So goes raising asshole kids.
18:48
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, right.
18:49
SPEAKER_00: They're walking back in the door from the recital, and she's giving Dean directions, like, okay, get him ready for bed, blah, blah, blah.
18:57
SPEAKER_00: He's like, Where are you going?
18:58
SPEAKER_00: She's like, I gotta go to work.
19:00
SPEAKER_00: He's like, No, I'm going out.
19:03
SPEAKER_00: She's like, What do you mean you're going out?
19:05
SPEAKER_00: He goes, book club.
19:08
SPEAKER_00: And I actually had to laugh at that one.
19:11
SPEAKER_00: And he just storms out.
19:13
SPEAKER_00: Um, she actually takes the kids with her.
19:16
SPEAKER_00: I'm like, okay.
19:18
SPEAKER_00: I mean, I get it.
19:19
SPEAKER_00: I get it, right?
19:21
SPEAKER_00: Because you have to make this delivery.
19:22
SPEAKER_00: But I don't understand.
19:24
SPEAKER_00: There were so many different things.
19:26
SPEAKER_00: She could like, since Annie had to come up there and meet them with the car, why couldn't Annie go with you, leave the kids in the car with herself, and you drop like you drive the drop-off car.
19:38
SPEAKER_00: Annie's already behind you with the kids.
19:41
SPEAKER_00: That way, if something pops off, she can still drop, you know, she can drive off with the kids.
19:45
SPEAKER_00: That's exactly what I was thinking.
19:47
SPEAKER_00: Right.
19:48
SPEAKER_00: It made no sense at all.
19:50
SPEAKER_00: Because guess what?
19:51
SPEAKER_00: You're already late.
19:52
SPEAKER_00: And you're gonna what's another foot?
19:54
SPEAKER_00: 15 minutes for Annie to get to your house, and she could have drove the minivan or whatever with the kids behind you.
20:03
SPEAKER_00: None of it made sense to me.
20:05
SPEAKER_00: It kind of pissed me off.
20:06
SPEAKER_00: And when Annie goes, come on, get in, car, I'm driving on fumes, and she's like, Really?
20:12
SPEAKER_00: Because I think the car chops off.
20:13
SPEAKER_00: She's like, No, not really.
20:15
SPEAKER_00: I got it.
20:19
SPEAKER_00: I feel like she's a little bit hard on Annie.
20:22
SPEAKER_00: She is, but also I'm gonna I'm about to be hard on Beth because Exactly.
20:27
SPEAKER_00: I think she's a little bit too hard on Annie.
20:30
SPEAKER_01: When you take your kids out of the car, I I always check to make sure we don't leave anything behind.
20:37
SPEAKER_01: Like anywhere.
20:38
SPEAKER_01: When we get off of a a subway or a ferry or a plane or uh an Uber, like we always look behind us to make sure we grabbed everything.
20:50
SPEAKER_01: But I feel like you know, it's been like so distracted or whatever, but like you had to realize that your kid took something with her.
21:01
SPEAKER_01: I don't know, like you're doing illegal shit.
21:04
SPEAKER_01: I know you had to bring your kids along, but even more reason to be like, okay, like let's just put them in the car.
21:10
SPEAKER_01: Let me just make sure I didn't leave anything behind.
21:13
SPEAKER_00: Right, because of that reason.
21:16
SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
21:18
SPEAKER_00: I which leads us eventually to um we'll get to the what really pissed me off about Beth in a moment.
21:27
SPEAKER_00: You see, the next scene is Ruby with the FBI agent, because I'm gonna call him FBI agent, because I'm gonna call him Timmy Taylor.
21:35
SPEAKER_00: Timmy Turner.
21:36
SPEAKER_00: So it's Jimmy Turner, right?
21:38
SPEAKER_00: No, I I don't even know how many names you got for this guy.
21:42
SPEAKER_00: It's his name is Jimmy Turner.
21:45
SPEAKER_00: The FBI agent.
21:46
SPEAKER_00: He doesn't look like a Jimmy Turner.
21:48
SPEAKER_00: I feel like they have the character's name, but when he auditioned for the part, they're like, oh no, he's you know, he's really good for this part.
21:59
SPEAKER_00: Because his name really I don't yeah, no.
22:02
SPEAKER_00: He doesn't look like a yeah, never mind.
22:07
SPEAKER_00: And the recording, so FBI Jimmy has uh Ruby recording all the time she spends with Beth, and you hear Jim being silly, being girls talking about like a name.
22:25
SPEAKER_00: Generator and like what the different names are gonna be and just being silly and stuff.
22:29
SPEAKER_01: And she well, it's not just what their names are gonna be, it's what you know, below the waist or what they're naming.
22:36
SPEAKER_00: What they're naming.
22:38
SPEAKER_00: And he's not impressed.
22:41
SPEAKER_00: She goes, Well, I've been this is all I got.
22:43
SPEAKER_00: I've been with, you know, I've been with Coin for three days.
22:46
SPEAKER_00: And he's just like, okay.
22:47
SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
22:47
SPEAKER_00: And he goes, Well, you know, do they have any grandparents?
22:51
SPEAKER_00: He's like, Yeah, Stance parents.
22:53
SPEAKER_00: And what are the names?
22:55
SPEAKER_00: And he's like, so and so and Sharice.
22:56
SPEAKER_00: He goes, is Sharice with two S's?
22:58
SPEAKER_00: She's he just will chill with it.
23:00
SPEAKER_00: And I'm over here at home laughing because I know exactly where he's going with it.
23:03
SPEAKER_00: I think everyone knows what he's doing.
23:05
SPEAKER_00: Exactly.
23:06
SPEAKER_00: And I don't think, I don't, I don't understand how she didn't know where he was going with this.
23:10
SPEAKER_00: He goes, I just want to make sure that you know good people.
23:14
SPEAKER_02: Why?
23:15
SPEAKER_00: He's like, you guys are really stand-up people, and I want to make sure your kids are taking care of where you guys go to jail.
23:21
SPEAKER_00: I was just like, Yeah.
23:22
SPEAKER_01: And then you wonder why people don't trust you guys.
23:25
SPEAKER_01: Uh you're like, no, no, no, you guys are fine.
23:28
SPEAKER_01: You guys are fine.
23:29
SPEAKER_01: Just work with me.
23:29
SPEAKER_01: You guys are fine.
23:30
SPEAKER_01: No, you're good people.
23:32
SPEAKER_01: You guys are fine.
23:33
SPEAKER_01: By the way, you're not fine.
23:35
SPEAKER_01: Mmm.
23:36
SPEAKER_01: Shocker.
23:38
SPEAKER_01: Shocker.
23:39
SPEAKER_01: And then the next person doesn't trust you, and you wonder why.
23:42
SPEAKER_00: I mean, to be fair, I'm not saying like she's not guilty, but no, but I don't care about the guilt.
23:49
SPEAKER_00: But does she really think that she can give him some bullshit?
23:51
SPEAKER_00: And he'll be like, okay, she tried.
23:53
SPEAKER_00: Like, did she really think that was going to?
23:56
SPEAKER_00: I mean, granted, they probably didn't talk about anything because they really don't talk about crime all the time.
24:03
unknown: Yeah.
24:03
SPEAKER_00: Does she think he'll be like, okay, at least she tried.
24:05
SPEAKER_00: Like, did she really think that was going to be okay?
24:09
SPEAKER_00: The part that pisses me off.
24:10
SPEAKER_00: Beth is putting the kids to bed and she realized her daughter can't find her.
24:15
SPEAKER_00: What is it?
24:16
SPEAKER_00: Dobby?
24:17
SPEAKER_00: Duby?
24:17
SPEAKER_00: Double?
24:19
SPEAKER_00: The W.
24:20
SPEAKER_00: And she goes, when'd you last time you had it?
24:24
SPEAKER_00: No.
24:24
SPEAKER_00: Like, I think I actually I don't know what the fuck that is.
24:28
SPEAKER_00: Double.
24:28
SPEAKER_00: I've never heard of a Dubby.
24:30
SPEAKER_00: Okay.
24:31
SPEAKER_00: Um should I Google it?
24:36
SPEAKER_00: I don't know.
24:37
SPEAKER_00: I guess.
24:41
SPEAKER_00: It's also an energy drink.
24:45
SPEAKER_00: It's an energy drink powder.
24:47
SPEAKER_00: Brand W energy.
24:49
SPEAKER_00: Um a musical style.
24:51
SPEAKER_00: Nothing to do with like it's not like uh a bobo or in like you know, the So I guess maybe it's just something Yes.
25:02
SPEAKER_01: Um a pet term in their family.
25:06
SPEAKER_00: In their little world, yes.
25:09
SPEAKER_00: Okay.
25:09
SPEAKER_00: When she asks her daughter, when's the last time you seen it?
25:12
SPEAKER_00: She goes, in the scary car.
25:15
SPEAKER_00: That would have been me.
25:17
SPEAKER_00: Like, oh well, it's time to grow up.
25:21
SPEAKER_00: There's no more W.
25:22
SPEAKER_00: It's lost.
25:23
SPEAKER_00: It's like when things fall in the train station and the the track, you're like, oh well, that's gone.
25:29
SPEAKER_00: Same thing.
25:30
SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
25:31
SPEAKER_00: Actually, I would probably jump off the platform into the tracks before I go back to that house to get the W.
25:40
SPEAKER_00: Abso fucking Lutley.
25:42
SPEAKER_01: I once I literally one morning on my way to work, the fucking it was winter.
25:50
SPEAKER_01: So you know, like outside is brick, and inside the subway, it's hell.
25:55
SPEAKER_01: You know, just just so that you can understand the temperature difference.
26:00
SPEAKER_01: And I had wire frames, and as we know, metal expands in the heat.
26:08
SPEAKER_01: So coming from the cold into the subway, what happens?
26:12
SPEAKER_01: The lens literally popped out of the frames and landed in the tracks.
26:25
SPEAKER_01: And guess she's like, okay, well, now what?
26:28
SPEAKER_01: Get a new pair of glasses.
26:29
SPEAKER_01: Like, that's it.
26:32
SPEAKER_01: I I do want to say that while they're sitting in front of the creepy house waiting for Auntie Annie to come, and the kids are like being annoying with their questions, she's like, let's listen to the kid station.
26:48
SPEAKER_01: And it's just this image of like the shitty car in front of the shitty house in the shitty neighborhood with the suburban mom and her little crew of children listening to that stupid children's station.
27:05
SPEAKER_01: And it's like, okay.
27:08
SPEAKER_01: Like, I just love the irony of it all.
27:12
SPEAKER_00: It's kind of like you expect to see, like, I don't know, maybe someone blasting Frank Sinatra in front of like Watts Project.
27:21
SPEAKER_00: You're like, wait, something's not right here.
27:26
SPEAKER_00: I think, I don't think we're in Kansas anymore.
27:31
SPEAKER_00: So Dean decided to take some martial arts lessons from the same school that his son goes to.
27:39
SPEAKER_00: What is he teaching him, Carmega?
27:41
SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
27:43
SPEAKER_00: So obviously he does as well as his son does.
27:47
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I love that the guy's like, come on, princess.
27:51
SPEAKER_00: I think that's an insult to princesses.
27:54
SPEAKER_00: Okay.
27:54
SPEAKER_00: So he's trying to get this guy to help him get rid of Rio.
27:59
SPEAKER_00: And he goes, So what happens?
28:04
SPEAKER_00: I give you my friend's number.
28:06
SPEAKER_00: Then my friend gets arrested for selling cigarettes from the Ukraine.
28:12
SPEAKER_00: But the cops don't want him.
28:14
SPEAKER_00: They want his boss.
28:15
SPEAKER_00: He's not giving up his boss.
28:17
SPEAKER_00: So what did they do?
28:18
SPEAKER_00: What does he do?
28:18
SPEAKER_00: He gives you up.
28:20
SPEAKER_00: So Dean goes, So what do I do?
28:22
SPEAKER_00: He goes, go home.
28:24
SPEAKER_00: You take a shower, get it all out your system, and divorce your wife.
28:28
unknown: He goes, Right.
28:29
SPEAKER_00: He goes, but I can't live without her.
28:31
SPEAKER_01: And he just You know, it's unfortunate that that that they only realize that after it's kind of after it's too late.
28:42
SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
28:44
SPEAKER_00: But the guy does slip him a phone number that just says, my friend.
28:49
SPEAKER_00: I'll laugh if the friend is real.
28:54
SPEAKER_01: I mean, I don't think so, but that would just be so perfect.
28:58
SPEAKER_00: I co-sign that one.
29:00
SPEAKER_00: We should make we should be able to make our own like endings to each episode.
29:04
SPEAKER_00: Like good girls fan fiction.
29:06
SPEAKER_00: You know what we should do?
29:07
SPEAKER_00: We should like collab with Handfellas and have them do like all two endings.
29:15
SPEAKER_01: Like the last five minutes, like nothing crazy.
29:18
SPEAKER_01: I'm pretty sure that they're gonna be like, okay, cool.
29:20
SPEAKER_01: And how much are you paying us?
29:22
SPEAKER_01: Because this is a shit ton of work.
29:24
SPEAKER_00: I would totally pay them.
29:26
SPEAKER_00: I would totally pay them.
29:27
SPEAKER_00: Okay.
29:28
SPEAKER_00: And like bake goods.
29:30
SPEAKER_00: And I will send you all the baked goods I can bake.
29:34
SPEAKER_00: Don't worry, I got you.
29:35
SPEAKER_00: Um the look Lisa gave me was like, pay them with what?
29:42
SPEAKER_01: Yep.
29:44
SPEAKER_01: With my kind words and friendship.
29:47
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, my undying love and devotion.
29:49
SPEAKER_01: That will get you.
29:50
SPEAKER_00: And as Lisa knows, our undying love and devotion and friendship is priceless.
29:57
SPEAKER_01: I mean, it's solid, but I don't know how much it's worth.
30:01
SPEAKER_01: It's priceless.
30:02
SPEAKER_01: Dude.
30:04
SPEAKER_00: Aluminum foil is solid, also, so I mean, because listen, when the comadre calls you at 2 o'clock in the morning to bring the shovel, you bring the fucking shovel.
30:14
SPEAKER_00: And that's what kind of people we are.
30:18
SPEAKER_00: So they ever need us with the shovel?
30:21
SPEAKER_00: I got I got the backs.
30:23
SPEAKER_00: And then over here in Wisconsin, there's plenty of space to, you know, get rid of body.
30:29
SPEAKER_01: Well, as long as they're willing to drive to Wisconsin, I guess they're good.
30:34
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, okay.
30:36
SPEAKER_00: Annie and Sadie are still at it.
30:41
SPEAKER_00: Um, I have nothing to say about that scene other than you know, Sadie still wants no parts of her mom.
30:49
SPEAKER_00: And uh, wait, so I think Ruby FaceTimes Annie and Beth is laid out.
30:59
SPEAKER_00: She goes, What happened?
31:01
SPEAKER_00: She goes, This is how I found you.
31:02
SPEAKER_00: This is the same.
31:02
SPEAKER_00: So this is the next morning.
31:03
SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
31:04
SPEAKER_01: The next morning.
31:04
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, this is the next morning after the whole car, the dubby.
31:09
SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
31:11
SPEAKER_00: Um, she's like, This is how I found her.
31:13
SPEAKER_01: And so Yeah, because Ruby's sitting on the floor next to her.
31:17
SPEAKER_01: She's like, Why are you guys on the floor?
31:18
SPEAKER_01: And she's like, I don't know, like this is just how I found her.
31:21
SPEAKER_01: It's a thing.
31:22
SPEAKER_01: I don't know.
31:24
SPEAKER_01: Lisa.
31:24
SPEAKER_01: That's what you do, right?
31:26
SPEAKER_01: Your friend is on the floor, so you sit down.
31:27
SPEAKER_00: You just get the floor with them, right?
31:30
SPEAKER_00: That was the normal part.
31:32
SPEAKER_00: That was actually that really was the normal part.
31:36
SPEAKER_00: And I'm like, okay, that makes sense.
31:38
SPEAKER_00: I just want you to know, Lisa, if I'm getting on the floor, and I absolutely lutely would, no hesitation.
31:44
SPEAKER_00: Okay, thank you.
31:46
SPEAKER_00: It's just getting back up may take me a minute.
31:48
SPEAKER_00: So let's be comfortable.
31:50
SPEAKER_00: I just have blankets on the floor waiting for me in the pillows.
31:55
SPEAKER_00: And you know what's funny?
31:56
SPEAKER_00: Remember the other day I said, if you know, if I call, if I text you 911, I'm laid out in the street in a feudal position.
32:01
SPEAKER_00: Just come get me.
32:02
SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
32:03
SPEAKER_00: And then this scene, and then this episode happened.
32:06
SPEAKER_00: So you see them in the car in front of the sketchy house.
32:09
SPEAKER_00: Because I'm assuming she told them what the fuck she did.
32:12
SPEAKER_00: And Ruby is taking like pictures of the outside to get, you know, because she needs to get stuff for the why does she have her sound on?
32:20
SPEAKER_01: Number one.
32:21
SPEAKER_01: And then Beth is like, what are you doing?
32:23
SPEAKER_01: I need to get ideas.
32:26
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, for the poor I like the porch.
32:32
SPEAKER_01: Shut your fucking sound off.
32:35
SPEAKER_01: Like they're already like, why are you what are you doing?
32:39
SPEAKER_01: Are you trying to draw more eyes on you?
32:42
SPEAKER_00: Like, the fuck?
32:43
SPEAKER_00: I feel like, you know, listen, I understand being a criminal mastermind takes time.
32:49
SPEAKER_00: But I feel like some things are just kind of common sense, what you do and what not to do.
32:53
SPEAKER_00: And they're kind of failing as a group.
32:55
SPEAKER_00: Right.
32:57
SPEAKER_00: Well, they're not from New York, so there's that.
32:59
SPEAKER_00: You know.
33:00
SPEAKER_00: You know, so there's that.
33:02
SPEAKER_01: They'd be lucky if they were even from Detroit at this point.
33:05
SPEAKER_01: Clearly, they're not.
33:07
SPEAKER_01: That the out But are they still from Michigan?
33:09
SPEAKER_01: They're like in Michigan, but But the out they're definitely the suburbs.
33:13
SPEAKER_01: Fucking dumbass suburb.
33:16
SPEAKER_01: They've got zero street smarts.
33:18
SPEAKER_00: Beth is good on her feet.
33:20
SPEAKER_00: I'll say that.
33:22
SPEAKER_00: She is, as you can see when she goes into the next scene.
33:24
SPEAKER_00: And so they go into the house, and she does the whole, hey, my kid left her dubby.
33:32
SPEAKER_00: And he's like, sure.
33:35
SPEAKER_00: Um, it's in the basement.
33:37
SPEAKER_00: So and so, go to the basement and get it.
33:39
SPEAKER_00: And he tells um Annie, go with them.
33:42
SPEAKER_00: And we all know what their plan is.
33:45
SPEAKER_00: I don't think we need to talk about it.
33:47
SPEAKER_00: Right.
33:47
SPEAKER_00: And Ruby goes, Oh, I'll go with you.
33:49
SPEAKER_00: He goes, No, no, no.
33:50
SPEAKER_00: She goes by herself.
33:51
SPEAKER_00: You go next.
33:51
SPEAKER_00: And Ruby's just like her asshole closed up on her.
33:57
SPEAKER_00: And Beth, like you said, really good in her feet.
34:01
SPEAKER_00: And do you know who I am?
34:04
SPEAKER_00: I'm the reason you're here.
34:05
SPEAKER_01: I the whole thing.
34:06
SPEAKER_01: See, she had a break and bad moment.
34:08
SPEAKER_01: She she might as well have said, I'm the one who knocks.
34:12
SPEAKER_01: She didn't.
34:12
SPEAKER_01: Missed opportunity.
34:14
SPEAKER_01: You didn't ever watch Break and Bad together.
34:16
SPEAKER_01: No.
34:16
SPEAKER_01: But I get the gist.
34:18
SPEAKER_01: The thing is, uh good she's got on her feet.
34:23
SPEAKER_01: Number one, if I even had the balls to show back up at that house.
34:29
SPEAKER_00: That pissed me off.
34:30
SPEAKER_00: Like, bitch, it should have been it's a done deal, but go ahead.
34:33
SPEAKER_01: If the car was still there, I might have taken a peek in it.
34:38
SPEAKER_01: I might have just opened the door, grabbed the blanket, and ran my fucking ass back to the car and be like, drive, motherfucker, drive.
34:44
SPEAKER_01: Right.
34:45
SPEAKER_01: If the car was not there, I'm leaving.
34:48
SPEAKER_01: Like I'm not.
34:51
SPEAKER_01: Even if I had the dumb sense to go to the door, I would not have gone inside.
35:02
SPEAKER_01: I wouldn't have even gone to the door.
35:04
SPEAKER_01: What like I know if they didn't, we would have less of an episode.
35:11
SPEAKER_01: It's just like how dumb are you?
35:15
SPEAKER_01: Like, man, you have like dude audacity at this point.
35:21
SPEAKER_01: I mean, who did you really think you were?
35:24
SPEAKER_00: No, she they had like broke dude audacity.
35:29
SPEAKER_00: Seriously.
35:32
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, like living in your mama's basement broke audacity.
35:40
SPEAKER_00: Um after her little spiel, he's like, phone, you gotta leave your phone and uh IDs.
35:48
SPEAKER_00: Ruby's like, sounds fair to me.
35:51
SPEAKER_00: Um I they were pissed at Beth.
35:57
SPEAKER_00: Beth, well, Ruby was definitely pissed.
35:59
SPEAKER_01: She goes, I didn't think it was Yeah, and the car Beth is like, but I and they're just like, nope.
36:07
SPEAKER_01: Nope.
36:08
SPEAKER_01: Like they don't even let her talk.
36:11
SPEAKER_00: I get it.
36:12
SPEAKER_00: Because I'd be pissed too.
36:13
SPEAKER_00: Be that as it may, when your friend does something stupid, you gotta support them because you don't want them to die.
36:18
SPEAKER_00: You know what I mean?
36:20
SPEAKER_00: But you're like, mm-hmm, we almost all died because of the fucking blanket.
36:27
SPEAKER_01: Really?
36:28
SPEAKER_01: Well, and so now, and now they have no phones.
36:32
SPEAKER_01: No phones.
36:32
SPEAKER_00: Remember, right?
36:34
SPEAKER_00: Right.
36:36
SPEAKER_00: Ruby goes home to Stan, and Stan has some bad news.
36:41
SPEAKER_01: And Stan's like, I've been trying to call you, and she's like, I got held up, which technically not a lie.
36:46
SPEAKER_00: Not a lie.
36:47
SPEAKER_00: She got held up for her phone and her ID.
36:51
SPEAKER_00: And she's like, I lost my phone.
36:54
SPEAKER_00: I almost lost my dignity.
36:56
SPEAKER_00: What was it?
36:57
SPEAKER_00: An um an IA investigation on the missing.
37:01
SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
37:01
SPEAKER_00: On the pen cap.
37:05
SPEAKER_00: This is so funny.
37:06
SPEAKER_00: It's like a slight delay.
37:08
SPEAKER_00: Oh.
37:09
SPEAKER_00: So I'm like, oh, she said pen cap.
37:11
SPEAKER_00: Like as I see like reading your lips.
37:13
SPEAKER_00: I'm like, oh, okay, that makes sense.
37:14
SPEAKER_00: I can I cannot read lips.
37:17
SPEAKER_00: As long as the audio comes in like half a second later, I can read lips.
37:25
SPEAKER_00: So during this bad news, Stan's phone rings.
37:31
SPEAKER_00: He's like, oh, it's Dean.
37:33
SPEAKER_00: And then they cut the scene.
37:34
SPEAKER_00: You're like, hmm.
37:36
SPEAKER_00: Because I take it, I have a feeling like you never see Stan and Dean like hanging out or talking or anything.
37:45
SPEAKER_00: So he's not.
37:46
SPEAKER_01: The only time that we've seen them interact previously was at the kids' um birthday party that was bought and returned.
37:57
SPEAKER_01: Right bought and returned.
37:58
SPEAKER_01: Right.
37:59
SPEAKER_01: That was it.
38:00
SPEAKER_00: They don't have that.
38:01
SPEAKER_00: Let me call my homeboy and let's hang out and see what he's doing.
38:04
SPEAKER_00: They don't have that kind of relationship.
38:05
SPEAKER_00: They're wives are friends.
38:07
SPEAKER_00: Right.
38:08
SPEAKER_00: And because since after that, because you're like, what the fuck's going on?
38:11
SPEAKER_01: Dean Dean and um Stan are like me and Angelique.
38:26
SPEAKER_01: We just share custody of you.
38:28
SPEAKER_00: I every so often I think about that trip, and I was like being switched, like being dropped off between my two parents that are divorced.
38:42
SPEAKER_01: I am the child.
38:43
SPEAKER_01: We got no issues with each other.
38:44
SPEAKER_01: It's just No, there's no issues at all.
38:46
SPEAKER_01: Right.
38:47
SPEAKER_01: No.
38:48
SPEAKER_01: It's just we don't reach out to each other unless it involves you.
38:55
SPEAKER_00: I am the central of everyone's world.
38:58
SPEAKER_00: Let me stop.
39:01
SPEAKER_00: Oh, that was funny.
39:04
SPEAKER_00: Beth is at the hobby store at the no stand gets his phone call from Dean.
39:11
SPEAKER_00: And she's looking for what Princess Pink or Pink Princess Pink yawn.
39:17
SPEAKER_00: And she acts like, she's like, oh, was that the last of it?
39:21
SPEAKER_00: She's like, yeah.
39:22
SPEAKER_00: She's like, oh, okay.
39:24
SPEAKER_00: She's like, I'm making a scarf.
39:26
SPEAKER_00: She's making a scarf for her cat.
39:29
SPEAKER_01: She's like, for Kevin.
39:31
SPEAKER_01: But Kevin.
39:32
SPEAKER_01: So right.
39:33
SPEAKER_01: And then she's like, oh, is that your child?
39:34
SPEAKER_01: She's like, no, it's my cat.
39:36
SPEAKER_01: I promised him.
39:37
SPEAKER_01: I pro Okay.
39:39
SPEAKER_00: Listen.
39:40
SPEAKER_00: The cat, okay.
39:41
SPEAKER_00: Why does the cat need a princess?
39:42
SPEAKER_00: Why does Kevin need a pink scarf?
39:44
SPEAKER_00: But okay.
39:45
SPEAKER_00: Two, I you really could have made a scarf for any.
39:49
SPEAKER_00: Okay, but that aside, she got it.
39:52
SPEAKER_00: It was hers.
39:52
SPEAKER_00: Period.
39:53
SPEAKER_00: End of story.
39:54
SPEAKER_00: And she wanted to take it and just roll it up in the bud.
39:57
SPEAKER_00: She picked, it was hers.
39:59
SPEAKER_01: But it was still fine.
40:00
SPEAKER_01: Now, if I was a lady, I I would have been like, here, it, you know, you can have it.
40:07
SPEAKER_01: That's just me because whatever.
40:09
SPEAKER_01: Also, one, I I I know how to do this shit, right?
40:14
SPEAKER_01: One skein of yarn, a blanket does not make.
40:18
SPEAKER_01: Like, you can make a potholder or two.
40:24
SPEAKER_01: She couldn't do anything with it.
40:26
SPEAKER_01: She she's gonna start it.
40:27
SPEAKER_01: She's not, she's sure not gonna finish it.
40:29
SPEAKER_01: And if your kid is so obsessed that it has to be the exact same thing, she's going to know it's not the same because it doesn't smell, it doesn't feel, it it's not the same as the other one.
40:44
SPEAKER_01: So what's the fucking difference if you get a different color?
40:47
SPEAKER_01: But then literally, as she's yelling at that lady, a cat is not your kid, it's not the same thing, blah, blah, blah.
40:53
SPEAKER_01: So some Walker just comes and dumps like a shit ton of fresh pink princess yarn.
41:00
SPEAKER_00: Yes.
41:01
SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
41:01
SPEAKER_01: That's just kind of like, okay, well, good luck with your cat.
41:07
SPEAKER_01: Grabs it all.
41:08
SPEAKER_01: But yeah, and then I'm like, uh-huh.
41:09
SPEAKER_01: And then that's my point.
41:10
SPEAKER_01: Like, the fuck were you gonna do with one thing of yarn?
41:14
SPEAKER_00: Of yarn.
41:15
SPEAKER_01: Um, I know about this stuff, so you know, practically an expert.
41:20
SPEAKER_00: Not practically.
41:21
SPEAKER_00: You I'm pretty sure you've done more than 10,000 hours of this.
41:25
SPEAKER_00: Oh, for sure.
41:26
SPEAKER_00: So that means you're an expert.
41:28
SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
41:28
SPEAKER_01: I do enjoy crocheting more than knitting.
41:34
SPEAKER_01: But um, but yeah.
41:37
SPEAKER_01: I don't know the fancy names for stitches though.
41:40
SPEAKER_01: I just know how to like do it.
41:42
SPEAKER_01: My daughter is good at doing patterns though.
41:44
SPEAKER_01: I'm not.
41:45
SPEAKER_00: Oh, that's so cool.
41:46
SPEAKER_01: Like I can count and do that stuff, but like I don't really like pearl two kind of thing.
41:53
SPEAKER_01: Don't ask me, I don't know.
41:55
SPEAKER_01: I don't know the technical terms for it.
41:56
SPEAKER_01: I didn't learn like that.
41:58
SPEAKER_00: You just learn by just do it.
41:59
SPEAKER_00: Just like here.
42:00
SPEAKER_00: This is what you do with your fingers.
42:02
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, with my aunt.
42:04
SPEAKER_01: And then it's just it's just muscle memory.
42:08
SPEAKER_01: So I don't know.
42:09
SPEAKER_01: But the cross stitching is my bitch.
42:12
SPEAKER_00: Sorry.
42:13
SPEAKER_01: You own that.
42:14
SPEAKER_00: Like I own that bitch.
42:16
SPEAKER_01: Oh, I'd love it.
42:18
SPEAKER_01: I'd leave me stopped.
42:20
SPEAKER_01: Can't keep me warm at uh at night.
42:23
SPEAKER_01: But but it does spend more time with me during the day, so hmm.
42:31
SPEAKER_00: Um I don't I'm a little jelly.
42:34
SPEAKER_00: I feel really alone.
42:36
SPEAKER_00: I feel more alone.
42:36
SPEAKER_01: Do you want me to teach you how to cross-stitch?
42:38
SPEAKER_01: So you can spend time with your cross-stitch?
42:40
SPEAKER_01: Maybe.
42:41
SPEAKER_01: Although I like cross-stitching my ladies, so I guess I don't know, I spend more time with my ladies during the day.
42:49
SPEAKER_00: Okay.
42:52
SPEAKER_00: I'm just feeling ladies during the day and at night.
42:55
SPEAKER_00: I'm feeling more alone after this cross-stitching situation than I've ever felt in my life right now.
43:00
SPEAKER_00: Thank you.
43:01
SPEAKER_00: I love you so much.
43:04
SPEAKER_01: Um I'll teach you how to cross-stitch so you could be with your ladies during the day.
43:09
SPEAKER_00: Do I need like finger dexterity?
43:13
SPEAKER_01: A little bit.
43:15
SPEAKER_01: But if you if you get a um a lower number, like bigger boxes, there's less dexterity needed.
43:29
SPEAKER_01: I like stitching on the smaller ones.
43:32
SPEAKER_00: I had a cross-stitching kit when I was younger.
43:38
SPEAKER_00: My mother got it, I loved it, and just for some reason it never happened again.
43:43
SPEAKER_00: I think it was more like a Christmas present.
43:45
SPEAKER_00: So she bought all the onset crafts and all the shit, and we did all that stuff, and it was fun, and I finished it, and then by time I you know, at that age, you just jump into something else that you liked.
43:55
SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
43:56
SPEAKER_01: I I like I mostly like 18 count, depending on what it is, I'll do a 22.
44:03
SPEAKER_01: But if you're a beginner or if dexterity is an issue, you can go down to like an 11.
44:10
SPEAKER_01: And then the squares are bigger.
44:16
SPEAKER_01: You won't need as small of a needle.
44:18
SPEAKER_00: That's something I could actually hold on to, which is really pissing me the fuck off.
44:23
SPEAKER_00: By the way, like thankfully, I can still tie.
44:25
SPEAKER_00: But writing is becoming a little bit more difficult.
44:29
SPEAKER_00: But that's why I started doing the I have a bag of lanyard because I found when I was doing it, it was kind of like work forcing my fingers to work.
44:40
SPEAKER_00: Maybe I start doing lower.
44:41
SPEAKER_00: I mean you can do crochet.
44:42
SPEAKER_01: You only need the the one, and the other hand you're just holding the like your your project, and and it's kind of like are you gonna come teach me?
44:53
SPEAKER_01: You don't need the finger dexterity, it's it's more in your wrist.
44:56
SPEAKER_01: And the oh, I could do that, so come show me.
44:58
SPEAKER_01: And you could do hook, uh, like the rug.
45:01
SPEAKER_01: I've I forgot what it's called.
45:03
SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
45:04
SPEAKER_01: Because and then that it's a little bit of the finger, but it's the wrist.
45:08
SPEAKER_00: That was easy.
45:09
SPEAKER_00: That's like that's yeah.
45:11
SPEAKER_00: Oh, maybe I should do the finger.
45:12
SPEAKER_01: Knitting, you need a little bit of the finger just for for when you're like kind of going.
45:18
SPEAKER_01: It's it's the wrist, but sometimes it's a little bit the finger.
45:21
SPEAKER_01: But actually, cross stitch, you need the fingers.
45:23
SPEAKER_00: You need the fingers.
45:25
SPEAKER_00: But the rug with the the hook, oh, I could do that for our I used to.
45:29
SPEAKER_00: I don't know what I can do.
45:30
SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
45:31
SPEAKER_00: I should just do a whole bunch of stuff.
45:34
SPEAKER_00: Anywho.
45:35
SPEAKER_00: Okay.
45:36
SPEAKER_00: And that is our show.
45:38
SPEAKER_00: Thank you for showing up to Only Grands.
45:41
SPEAKER_01: We if we if we were um part of the good girls crew, it wouldn't be called book club.
45:49
SPEAKER_01: It'd be called like craft club.
45:51
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, yeah.
45:53
SPEAKER_01: Shh, don't tell everyone on CSGO.
45:55
SPEAKER_01: I love cross-stitching.
45:56
SPEAKER_01: Oh my god, it's so fucking therapeutic.
46:00
SPEAKER_01: It really, really is.
46:01
SPEAKER_01: Like it it centers and calms me the fuck down.
46:06
SPEAKER_01: It's like instant stress relief.
46:11
SPEAKER_01: Okay.
46:13
SPEAKER_01: I'm a hundred years old, I know.
46:16
SPEAKER_00: I co-signed.
46:17
SPEAKER_01: I hope I can still do it when I'm a hundred years old.
46:20
SPEAKER_00: Talk about cross-stitching or something else.
46:23
SPEAKER_01: Well, I was talking about cross-stitching, but I guess something else.
46:28
SPEAKER_00: After the debacle at the hobby stuff, the hobby store, Annie's at the bar, and why can't I remember his Tyler?
46:37
SPEAKER_00: Is like, hey, what are you doing here?
46:39
SPEAKER_00: She's like, What the fuck do you think I'm doing here?
46:41
SPEAKER_00: She goes, but you never show up to birthday events.
46:43
SPEAKER_00: She's like, Oh, she just wanted a drink, but apparently it's a work event.
46:48
SPEAKER_00: Right.
46:48
SPEAKER_01: And apparently there's only like one bar.
46:51
SPEAKER_01: So is this reunion that there's only one bar?
46:54
SPEAKER_01: One bar.
46:55
SPEAKER_01: Out of all of like Manhattan and Bedford, New York, there's just one bar.
46:58
SPEAKER_01: One bar, period.
47:00
SPEAKER_01: They'll they'll go from Manhattan.
47:01
SPEAKER_01: Because there's no bars in Manhattan, so you gotta, you know, at all.
47:05
SPEAKER_01: New York.
47:05
SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
47:08
SPEAKER_01: Such a flaw.
47:08
SPEAKER_01: Somebody in Manhattan should fix that and put a bar there.
47:11
SPEAKER_01: I know.
47:12
SPEAKER_00: What were they thinking?
47:15
SPEAKER_00: And she saw us talking to this guy, and new guy.
47:20
SPEAKER_00: She's and she was telling how horrible people like like, oh, you must be working for produce.
47:25
SPEAKER_00: Like you've given up on life.
47:26
SPEAKER_00: And and management sucks, you know, because they're like, all they do is hire like rapists.
47:34
SPEAKER_00: Rapists, knuckle draggers, and and and something else, yeah.
47:39
SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
47:41
SPEAKER_00: And she goes, So he goes, Well, I'm new, I'm the new manager.
47:46
SPEAKER_00: So I'm like, no, no, no.
47:47
SPEAKER_00: He doesn't tell her.
47:48
SPEAKER_01: He doesn't tell her.
47:50
SPEAKER_01: He he doesn't see he doesn't tell her anything.
47:54
SPEAKER_01: He just says that he's he's working there.
47:57
SPEAKER_00: But no, before she leaves the bar though, she does, he does tell her.
48:01
SPEAKER_01: Oh, I thought she didn't find out until she saw him at work the next night.
48:05
SPEAKER_00: No, because when she went up, she's like, I'm just gonna tell I'm just gonna quit now because after what he does after she tells him, like, she goes through like management sucks, is all the people they ever hire.
48:17
SPEAKER_00: He goes, Oh, here's the and she goes, Oh, you must be produced because they give up on life.
48:21
SPEAKER_00: He goes, Well, like, No, no, no, no, but wait a minute.
48:24
SPEAKER_01: She tells him she's gonna quit when they're at work.
48:27
SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
48:27
SPEAKER_01: He's like, No, I don't right.
48:29
SPEAKER_00: Because she already knew by the time she walked up to him, she already knew who he was.
48:32
SPEAKER_00: She's like, I'm just gonna cut my losses now and just quit.
48:37
SPEAKER_00: Because she was already embarrassed about what happened the night before.
48:39
SPEAKER_00: Because he told her.
48:42
SPEAKER_01: I'm gonna look it up because I feel like I I really thought he she didn't find out at the bar, but okay.
48:51
SPEAKER_01: I'll look it up.
48:52
SPEAKER_01: You keep going.
48:54
SPEAKER_00: Um she gets a phone call at the bar.
48:59
SPEAKER_00: And she goes, Are you Annie?
49:01
SPEAKER_00: She's like, No.
49:02
SPEAKER_00: And then Tyler goes, Oh, this is Annie.
49:05
SPEAKER_00: Like he, I swear to God, he could be in a wet dream.
49:08
SPEAKER_00: So the phone call that everyone was getting was because Beth's daughter was missing.
49:16
SPEAKER_00: So Beth comes, she's driving home, and she sees the cops there.
49:21
SPEAKER_00: And Annie's up is up no front.
49:26
SPEAKER_00: And she kind of flips out on Dean, but that's a hundred percent of that fear.
49:34
SPEAKER_00: Like when your kids, like you you lose your kids in the park and you just get mad at them.
49:38
SPEAKER_00: It's not really mad at them, you just that fear, like yeah.
49:41
SPEAKER_00: I've been there.
49:43
SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
49:43
SPEAKER_01: I've I've I've had that happen with the same child more than once.
49:49
SPEAKER_01: That child is a GPS embedded in them.
49:52
SPEAKER_00: She has it now, but it's called a phone, right?
49:56
SPEAKER_01: You know the thing is, like, and it's not like she wasn't being supervised, it's that it happens in a half a fucking second.
50:05
SPEAKER_00: It just happens.
50:05
SPEAKER_00: That's just like it is no one's fault.
50:09
SPEAKER_00: Right.
50:10
SPEAKER_00: Beth is convinced that the sketchy guys took.
50:15
SPEAKER_00: Hold on one second.
50:17
SPEAKER_00: Pulling it up, don't go anywhere.
50:21
SPEAKER_01: Oh, are you looking for it on the TV?
50:23
SPEAKER_01: Because I'm like I I can't find the transcript.
50:27
SPEAKER_00: There she goes.
50:30
SPEAKER_00: Can you hear?
50:31
SPEAKER_00: A little bit.
50:32
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, just rewind it.
50:33
SPEAKER_00: Okay.
50:33
SPEAKER_02: Just punch it if you will.
50:40
SPEAKER_02: Perverts, knuckle draggers, and rapists.
50:43
SPEAKER_02: That is who they hire every time without fail.
50:47
SPEAKER_03: I'm really looking forward to it.
50:49
SPEAKER_03: I think it's gonna be fun.
50:52
SPEAKER_02: So what are you?
50:53
SPEAKER_02: No, no, don't tell me, let me guess.
50:57
SPEAKER_02: Produce.
50:58
SPEAKER_02: We really gotta hold I've thrown away everything in my life vibe.
51:05
SPEAKER_00: Oh, you were right, yeah.
51:07
SPEAKER_00: To go back to the next scene.
51:08
SPEAKER_00: To go back to the next scene.
51:10
SPEAKER_00: That was funny.
51:11
SPEAKER_00: Back to the future.
51:14
SPEAKER_00: That makes so much more s that makes better sense now.
51:18
SPEAKER_00: Anyway.
51:19
SPEAKER_00: Um Beth is convinced that the sketchy guys took her daughter.
51:24
SPEAKER_00: So she wait a minute, wait a minute, wait a minute, wait a minute.
51:28
SPEAKER_01: Hold on.
51:28
SPEAKER_01: Aren't we at Oh no, we're not.
51:32
SPEAKER_01: Okay.
51:36
SPEAKER_01: Forget it.
51:37
SPEAKER_01: Forget it.
51:38
SPEAKER_01: Continue, please.
51:38
SPEAKER_01: Sorry if you can't shut up.
51:41
SPEAKER_00: Do me a favor, I was so confused.
51:43
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, If you get to the part you thought we you were, can you let me know?
51:46
SPEAKER_00: Because I'm just curious.
51:47
SPEAKER_00: Okay.
51:49
SPEAKER_00: I'm just like, okay.
51:50
SPEAKER_00: So she apparently she contacts Ryo and they meet up somewhere, and she goes, How the fuck does she contact him?
52:00
SPEAKER_00: She has no phone.
52:02
SPEAKER_00: See, that bothered me too.
52:06
SPEAKER_00: Unless she just showed, like, does she is there like a meeting place?
52:09
SPEAKER_00: I don't know.
52:10
SPEAKER_00: Like, how does she contact him?
52:13
SPEAKER_00: But they didn't write that in.
52:15
SPEAKER_00: They didn't think they have Lisa and Agnes duo watching the show.
52:21
SPEAKER_00: And she goes, They have my daughter.
52:24
SPEAKER_00: He goes, What are you talking about?
52:25
SPEAKER_00: He goes, Well, you see, when she starts telling about the dubby, she goes he goes, You went into the house.
52:32
SPEAKER_00: And this is when he goes, You're a drug dealer.
52:35
SPEAKER_00: Like, what the fuck were you thinking?
52:37
SPEAKER_00: He's like, I'm like, Mom, you're a drug dealer.
52:39
SPEAKER_00: You sell pills and you can you wash counterfeit.
52:43
SPEAKER_00: Like, get your shit together.
52:45
SPEAKER_00: Right.
52:45
SPEAKER_00: He's like, because if not, you die.
52:47
SPEAKER_00: You will be, you will die.
52:49
SPEAKER_01: Right.
52:50
SPEAKER_01: Like he or arrested, like you're gonna go to jail.
52:54
SPEAKER_01: Like you get arrested or you die.
52:56
SPEAKER_01: He's like, you need to get your head straight.
52:58
SPEAKER_01: Like, I think that he he felt like he had to really scare her because she's not getting it.
53:07
SPEAKER_00: No, she thinks it's all fun and games.
53:09
SPEAKER_00: Like everyone wants to be a gangster until it's time to be a gangster.
53:12
SPEAKER_00: You just can't.
53:13
SPEAKER_00: Um he goes, and they don't have your daughter.
53:15
SPEAKER_00: She said, Well, how are you so sure?
53:17
SPEAKER_00: He goes, There's no money in that.
53:19
SPEAKER_00: And side note, unfortunately, we know there is.
53:24
SPEAKER_00: Right.
53:24
SPEAKER_00: But for the purpose of the show, there's no money in that.
53:28
SPEAKER_00: Is this where the next scene you see Ruby going through the house?
53:31
SPEAKER_00: Oh no, it's her and Annie.
53:33
SPEAKER_00: And Annie is trying to call Sadie because Sadie is supposed to go out with her friends, but she's not answering the phone.
53:39
SPEAKER_00: And Ruby's like, okay, because they really think sketchy people, the sketchy guys, because they have their address.
53:44
SPEAKER_01: But because Beth was saying, she's like, right.
53:45
SPEAKER_01: She's like, they they have our phones, our wallets, our addresses, like everything.
53:50
SPEAKER_00: So Annie, so Sadie's freaking out.
53:52
SPEAKER_00: Not Sadie, Annie's freaking out, and Ruby's like, go.
53:56
SPEAKER_00: Mm-hmm.
53:57
SPEAKER_00: She uses the opportunity to go through Beth's stuff to try to find something to give to Jimmy.
54:04
SPEAKER_00: And the saddest moment of this episode thus far is when she actually finds it.
54:10
SPEAKER_00: And she looks so distraught when she found it.
54:13
SPEAKER_00: She's like, I mean, she could have just act like she.
54:19
SPEAKER_00: But she had to find it.
54:20
SPEAKER_00: She had to find it because like the threatening put them in jail, the grandparents, then the IA must get she has to find.
54:28
SPEAKER_00: She doesn't want her kids to go to George and Sharice's house.
54:31
SPEAKER_00: Two S with two S's.
54:34
SPEAKER_00: She hears something, she opens the closet, and it's the daughter with her little.
54:38
SPEAKER_00: Actually, that seemed like a really cozy spot.
54:42
SPEAKER_00: I know.
54:43
SPEAKER_00: And as a grown up as a grown-up, I even find like we find like corners of a room, and then we curl up with that book and a it's the same premise.
54:54
SPEAKER_00: Like sometimes I just want to go into my own little closet, so to speak, with my snacks and my TV, and just shut up the world.
55:04
SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
55:07
SPEAKER_01: I concur.
55:08
SPEAKER_01: And I am the type of person who likes a corner.
55:13
SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
55:13
SPEAKER_00: I think.
55:14
SPEAKER_01: I mean, look, I'm sitting in a corner right now.
55:16
SPEAKER_00: It feels comforting when the whole world is loud in your head and you just need to just Yeah.
55:24
SPEAKER_00: So she's like, oh hey.
55:25
SPEAKER_00: And she's like, hey there.
55:27
SPEAKER_00: So you see, the next scene you see Dean and Stan with the search, the group of people searching for her daughter for their daughter.
55:39
SPEAKER_00: And Dean is telling Stan, like, we gotta get rid of him.
55:42
SPEAKER_00: And Stan just looks at him.
55:44
SPEAKER_00: And Dean's like, you know who I'm talking about, right?
55:47
SPEAKER_00: He's like, Yeah.
55:50
SPEAKER_00: I just feel like he goes, some of your cop buddies, and we could just take him out.
55:56
SPEAKER_01: But who do you think that Stan knew who he was talking about?
56:00
SPEAKER_01: Because I was confused.
56:01
SPEAKER_01: I was like, did did he think he was talking about the FBI?
56:06
SPEAKER_00: Or did I think he was talking about Rio?
56:08
SPEAKER_00: I don't think he I don't think they were talking about the same person personally.
56:13
SPEAKER_00: Okay.
56:13
SPEAKER_00: But it's still because Stan really doesn't have Ruby has no issues, no direct issues with Rio.
56:22
SPEAKER_00: So she really hasn't there's been no like his issues have been with Jimmy.
56:27
SPEAKER_00: Right, and that's his look is like get rid of him.
56:29
SPEAKER_01: Right, and then even with the whole shooting, I don't think Ruby told Stan.
56:36
SPEAKER_01: Stan the truth.
56:38
SPEAKER_01: Right.
56:39
SPEAKER_01: Right.
56:39
SPEAKER_01: Right.
56:40
SPEAKER_01: Like Stan thinks that he was like mugged or something.
56:44
SPEAKER_00: So all he knows is there.
56:46
SPEAKER_00: So Stan is Hughes.
56:49
SPEAKER_00: He knows that there is a Rio, like uh no, a gang leader, but he doesn't know anything about so when Stan when Dean said we gotta take we gotta get rid of him, Stan was just looking at him like the f get rid of him.
57:06
unknown: Okay.
57:07
SPEAKER_00: That was my that was my interpretation.
57:10
SPEAKER_00: Ruby's conversation with the daughter in the closet, because like you see, you know, the daughter's feeling neglected, and you know, she's losing her mom, and she just whatever the case may be.
57:26
SPEAKER_00: And Ruby, she says, I've known your mom for a very long time.
57:33
SPEAKER_00: She's like, before you, she's like, before iPads?
57:36
SPEAKER_00: Before iPads.
57:39
SPEAKER_00: And no pretty much said, No matter what, your mom is always gonna be there when she's need, like when you need her, she will be there.
57:49
SPEAKER_00: In a way, before they got to the beautiful moment, she goes, So where are you going?
57:55
SPEAKER_00: New York, Vegas?
57:57
SPEAKER_00: She goes, Well, I'm not across the street by myself.
58:00
SPEAKER_00: She's like, Okay, that's a good point.
58:02
SPEAKER_01: She's like, she's like, oh, you got your suitcase.
58:05
SPEAKER_01: She's like, you're running, you're running away game is on point.
58:08
SPEAKER_01: She's like, you got everything, huh?
58:09
SPEAKER_01: Like snacks.
58:10
SPEAKER_01: They're sitting there eating gummy bears.
58:12
SPEAKER_01: And she's just like, yeah, you're you're good to go.
58:16
SPEAKER_00: She's a little bit more prepared than they are, right?
58:20
SPEAKER_00: Mm-hmm.
58:22
SPEAKER_00: Um, Annie has a little conversation.
58:27
SPEAKER_00: She confronts Sadie about lying.
58:30
SPEAKER_00: And the reason she knew she was lying was hysterical.
58:34
SPEAKER_00: She goes, I'm what did she go?
58:36
SPEAKER_00: I DM so and so-and-so, because he was out with Jordan, the boy Jordan and the girl Jordan, and you weren't with them.
58:47
SPEAKER_00: And she's like, I went with Nancy.
58:49
SPEAKER_00: Right.
58:51
SPEAKER_01: She's like, oh, so now I'm the liar.
58:53
SPEAKER_01: She's like, I was with Nancy.
58:55
SPEAKER_00: She's like, I need to know you're safe, which is no hate me, love me.
58:59
SPEAKER_00: Right.
59:00
SPEAKER_00: My mother always tells us, don't lie to me, regardless.
59:03
SPEAKER_00: And it's the same thing, like, I need to know you're safe.
59:06
SPEAKER_01: Right.
59:06
SPEAKER_01: And and and especially the the thing is that Sadie is still mad because of what Sadie knows, especially but she doesn't know everything that that Annie knows.
59:18
SPEAKER_01: So, in light of the kid being missing and her being held up and having their stuff taken away, you know, Annie is thinking absolute worst case scenario, which any other parent, and probably especially moms, are very familiar with.
59:40
SPEAKER_00: Right.
59:41
SPEAKER_01: Worst case scenario.
59:42
SPEAKER_01: Zero to 100.
59:43
SPEAKER_01: There is no in-between.
59:45
SPEAKER_01: And that's all you're thinking is like, oh my God, my kid.
59:50
SPEAKER_01: So Sadie doesn't know any of that stuff.
59:52
SPEAKER_01: So, you know, Sadie's just being sadie.
59:54
SPEAKER_01: She doesn't get it, which is a good thing, right?
59:57
SPEAKER_01: She shouldn't get it.
59:58
SPEAKER_01: She shouldn't have to do those things.
1:00:02
SPEAKER_00: But yeah.
1:00:03
SPEAKER_00: And she asks her, so do you have an ETA?
1:00:06
SPEAKER_00: And Sadie's like, on what?
1:00:09
SPEAKER_00: She's like, when I can get my kid back.
1:00:11
SPEAKER_00: And she's like, I don't know.
1:00:13
SPEAKER_00: And that's fair.
1:00:15
SPEAKER_00: So this is the scene when the next day at work, when Annie goes back to work, she goes up to the boss, like, I'm just gonna cut my losses now.
1:00:24
SPEAKER_00: I'm just gonna quit.
1:00:25
SPEAKER_00: I'm a horrible employee.
1:00:27
SPEAKER_00: He's like, no, but you're fine.
1:00:28
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, because he's like, Did you preduce?
1:00:30
SPEAKER_00: Did you pre-duce?
1:00:34
SPEAKER_00: And the little back and forth, she's like, Why are you so cool?
1:00:38
SPEAKER_00: He goes, Because you're fun and I like you, and whatever.
1:00:42
SPEAKER_00: And then of course, Annie does Annie, and they end up making Al in the back.
1:00:46
SPEAKER_00: Did they go all the way?
1:00:48
SPEAKER_00: Um, it should look like it.
1:00:50
SPEAKER_00: That's what I thought.
1:00:50
SPEAKER_00: I just want to make sure I wasn't being a pervert.
1:00:52
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, because he she's like, he's like, I don't want you to quit.
1:00:56
SPEAKER_01: And she's like, okay, well, why?
1:00:58
SPEAKER_01: And she's like, well, I want this, and he's like, okay.
1:01:01
SPEAKER_01: And I thought I don't remember what she said.
1:01:03
SPEAKER_00: Like, I don't want a bag because that's what we have bags.
1:01:06
SPEAKER_00: So you're a cashier.
1:01:07
SPEAKER_00: Oh, right.
1:01:09
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, yeah.
1:01:10
SPEAKER_01: And and he and she's just like, you know, because she asked for things and he's like, okay.
1:01:14
SPEAKER_01: And he's like, Well, what do you want?
1:01:18
SPEAKER_01: You know, like you know, and it was just like, what?
1:01:23
SPEAKER_01: And then the next thing you see is them, and he's like, this is all kinds of like violations, or maybe he said one of them was like, just all kinds of violations.
1:01:35
SPEAKER_01: I'm just like, I'm such a skeptic.
1:01:40
SPEAKER_00: No, like listen, nice.
1:01:41
SPEAKER_00: You don't know this fucking man.
1:01:43
SPEAKER_00: But best case scenario, you don't know him.
1:01:47
SPEAKER_00: Best case scenario, it's gonna end up bad.
1:01:50
SPEAKER_00: Because that's your manager.
1:01:52
SPEAKER_01: Like, even if he's not like right.
1:01:54
SPEAKER_01: Worst case scenario, you you know that the FBI is looking at Beth.
1:01:59
SPEAKER_01: Like, I'm I would be thinking, like, what if he's a plant?
1:02:02
SPEAKER_01: Like, right.
1:02:04
SPEAKER_01: I don't know.
1:02:05
SPEAKER_01: Like, what you got Mary Pat, you got the FBI guy, you got Rio, you got the dubby people, like uh, too much, too much.
1:02:14
SPEAKER_01: She said the dubby people.
1:02:15
SPEAKER_01: No new friends.
1:02:18
SPEAKER_01: Nobody.
1:02:19
SPEAKER_01: Like, I'm gonna come in, I'm gonna clock out, and I am going home.
1:02:23
SPEAKER_01: I'm not making friends with anybody.
1:02:25
SPEAKER_01: I'm here for paycheck, not friendships.
1:02:27
SPEAKER_01: Like, sorry.
1:02:28
SPEAKER_01: And especially when you've got a lot of other kind of things going on in your life that need to be kept very, very secretive.
1:02:38
SPEAKER_01: Shut the fuck up.
1:02:39
SPEAKER_01: Don't make new friends, don't take your pants off.
1:02:41
SPEAKER_01: Like, my god, Annie.
1:02:47
SPEAKER_00: So, yeah, so that Annie Annie'd, that happened.
1:02:54
SPEAKER_01: And I mean, I know everybody needs him.
1:02:58
SPEAKER_01: And I don't want to judge that part.
1:03:00
SPEAKER_01: I don't have to.
1:03:01
SPEAKER_00: Maybe make sure you know the guy.
1:03:03
SPEAKER_00: Or leave, oh, you know, or a complete stranger outside the state with no where there's no connection, you know.
1:03:13
SPEAKER_00: And and just to make Dean feel even better, he's coming in from checking the mail, and there's a vanilla envelope with the name Elizabeth on it.
1:03:26
SPEAKER_00: No postage.
1:03:28
SPEAKER_00: And he he's not stupid.
1:03:30
SPEAKER_00: He's an asshole, but he's not stupid.
1:03:34
SPEAKER_00: And us viewers, as we soon as we see it, we know exactly what's in there.
1:03:38
SPEAKER_00: We know exactly who sent it.
1:03:40
SPEAKER_00: But he gives it to um Elizabeth, Beth.
1:03:46
SPEAKER_00: And any guesses to listeners?
1:03:48
SPEAKER_00: Any guesses?
1:03:50
SPEAKER_00: And if you said the W, you are correct.
1:03:53
SPEAKER_00: Um so yeah, athlete Rio tells her to get her shit together, he goes back to Sketchy House and gets the W.
1:04:01
SPEAKER_00: Because that's Rio.
1:04:06
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I think that this is just proving my point of his not so gentle parenting to Beth.
1:04:11
SPEAKER_01: You know, like the comparison, because it's like you yell at your kids, you get them back on the right track, but you're still like, all right, let me just do something nice anyway.
1:04:21
SPEAKER_00: Right.
1:04:22
SPEAKER_00: Because you know, as parents, we don't apologize.
1:04:25
SPEAKER_00: We just like, here, I made you dinner.
1:04:27
SPEAKER_01: I just I feel like that's just like a lot of the ways that we were raised.
1:04:30
SPEAKER_01: It was like, no, we're we're not gonna give into your bullshit.
1:04:34
SPEAKER_01: Like, this is what it is, this is what you need to do.
1:04:37
SPEAKER_00: Especially still know, but here's something to soften the blow.
1:04:40
SPEAKER_01: Right.
1:04:41
SPEAKER_01: They would still find ways to show us, like, all right, here we we we we did hear you, we did care.
1:04:46
SPEAKER_01: Shut the fuck up about it now.
1:04:49
SPEAKER_00: Right.
1:04:52
SPEAKER_00: Oh.
1:04:54
SPEAKER_00: Now, this scene, you think you know what's gonna happen, but in typical good girls fashion, I'm expecting the total opposite.
1:05:03
SPEAKER_00: You see Ruby in her kitchen and in front of and laid out is Bet's calendar of pickups and drop-offs and this and that.
1:05:13
SPEAKER_01: Right.
1:05:14
SPEAKER_01: The calendar that she was working on all throughout the beginning of the episode.
1:05:17
SPEAKER_01: Right.
1:05:18
SPEAKER_00: Bin numbers, everything.
1:05:20
SPEAKER_00: So Ruby calls, she's like, and she sets up a meeting.
1:05:24
SPEAKER_00: Hold on, let me see what she actually said.
1:05:27
SPEAKER_00: While you're doing that, when she says, Oh, can you meet me right now?
1:05:33
SPEAKER_00: Um, that she said, Can you meet me right now?
1:05:36
SPEAKER_00: And you're like, oh, FBI guy.
1:05:40
SPEAKER_00: Um, good girl's fashion, most likely it's not.
1:05:45
SPEAKER_00: I don't remember, like I said, I saw when they first aired.
1:05:49
SPEAKER_00: I did not pre-rewatch the episodes.
1:05:53
SPEAKER_00: Does that make sense?
1:05:54
SPEAKER_00: Mm-hmm.
1:05:55
SPEAKER_00: Okay, so I really don't know what happened.
1:05:58
SPEAKER_01: Um Well, my my issue is how the fuck does she get that thing out of the house?
1:06:03
SPEAKER_01: It's in her jacket.
1:06:07
SPEAKER_01: But it's a it's a pretty decent sized like whiteboard calendar.
1:06:13
SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
1:06:14
SPEAKER_01: So you can't just you can't fold it, you can't put it in your pocket or in your purse.
1:06:19
SPEAKER_01: It's I mean, unless you have a suitcase, and even then it might still be too big for a suitcase.
1:06:25
SPEAKER_01: But how did you get it out of the house with the bass?
1:06:28
SPEAKER_00: The same way Beth contacted Ryo.
1:06:32
SPEAKER_00: Really?
1:06:33
SPEAKER_00: It's TV magic.
1:06:35
SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
1:06:36
SPEAKER_00: I forgot about that part.
1:06:41
SPEAKER_00: So who do you think she was calling?
1:06:45
SPEAKER_01: I don't know.
1:06:46
SPEAKER_01: I really don't know.
1:06:48
SPEAKER_01: I mean, I feel like the show wants us to think it's the FBI.
1:06:52
SPEAKER_01: And it might be.
1:06:54
SPEAKER_01: I mean, that well, that is the obvious thing.
1:06:56
SPEAKER_01: And it might be only because she's worried about her and Stan going to prison and you know, her her kids being taken away.
1:07:08
SPEAKER_01: But I don't know.
1:07:09
SPEAKER_01: I mean, I think it could be Annie, it could be Beth.
1:07:13
SPEAKER_00: I think the heart to heart with her best daughter about how Beth is always gonna be there for you.
1:07:18
SPEAKER_00: I think she I think they're gonna try to come up with a plan.
1:07:21
SPEAKER_00: Get out of here.
1:07:22
SPEAKER_01: Right.
1:07:22
SPEAKER_01: I feel like that is the most logical thing, is that she's like, maybe you gotta get rid of the evidence.
1:07:30
SPEAKER_01: Maybe you have to because he's onto us and blah blah blah.
1:07:35
SPEAKER_01: Like, I don't know.
1:07:38
SPEAKER_01: I mean Maybe she's talking to Mary Pat.
1:07:40
SPEAKER_01: Let me stop.
1:07:41
SPEAKER_01: I mean, maybe maybe maybe she was talking to Stan.
1:07:45
SPEAKER_01: I don't know.
1:07:46
SPEAKER_01: I mean she's no, she's talking to Rio.
1:07:48
SPEAKER_00: T called Rio.
1:07:49
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, yeah, I don't know.
1:07:55
SPEAKER_00: Any questions, comments, concerns, hot takes, thoughts for next week's episode?
1:08:01
SPEAKER_00: Nope.
1:08:03
SPEAKER_00: Sounds like a plan.
1:08:04
SPEAKER_00: Bye, people.
1:08:05
SPEAKER_00: See you next week.
1:08:06
SPEAKER_01: The only hot take I have is for the Married at First Sight episode that we didn't record today.
1:08:11
