- 0:57Speaker 3: All right, welcome back in hour have aer two of
- 0:59Speaker 3: O T here Live from the Raising Kine Studio.
- 1:02Speaker 4: Wednesday Shows brought to you by Hood Dental Care.
- 1:08Speaker 3: We are in full mock draft season, and with each
- 1:14Speaker 3: passing day though that I see a new mock draft.
- 1:18Speaker 4: I'll tell you this.
- 1:20Speaker 3: I think the Saints are in a great position to
- 1:22Speaker 3: get a great player by staying at eight.
- 1:26Speaker 4: I don't think they need to move up. Why is
- 1:30Speaker 4: that even a thought? Because it's Mickey.
- 1:31Speaker 3: I mean, Mickey likes to do it, and if there
- 1:33Speaker 3: was a player there that he loved. At six, the
- 1:36Speaker 3: Browns have two first round picks. They could always use
- 1:39Speaker 3: more players. Maybe they listen. I don't know. The Giants
- 1:42Speaker 3: at five, maybe they would. I don't think they have
- 1:44Speaker 3: to do that. You don't have to have your normal aggression.
- 1:46Speaker 3: You can sit there at eight and you're gonna get
- 1:48Speaker 3: a really good player. It feels like some combination of
- 1:54Speaker 3: Caleb downs maybe sunny styles. Ruben Bain Junior, Monsieur Delaine,
- 1:59Speaker 3: or all all going to be there for you, and
- 2:02Speaker 3: you're gonna have your choice. You're gonna get your pick
- 2:04Speaker 3: of a really good player, a player that I think
- 2:07Speaker 3: you can make an argument for that could be a
- 2:10Speaker 3: top five pick. All those players could be top five picks.
- 2:13Speaker 3: So I think the Saints can sit exactly.
- 2:15Speaker 4: Where they're at. They don't have to be aggressive.
- 2:18Speaker 3: I don't want you to move back either, like there
- 2:20Speaker 3: was at one point where I did. There was at
- 2:22Speaker 3: one point where I thought, maybe you do that. I
- 2:24Speaker 3: think the player that you're gonna have available at eight,
- 2:26Speaker 3: it's going to be too good for you to back
- 2:28Speaker 3: up in the draft and take a chance on not
- 2:30Speaker 3: getting that player because I think you're gonna get one
- 2:32Speaker 3: of the better players overall in the draft. You can
- 2:35Speaker 3: get a top five player at eight, and when you're
- 2:37Speaker 3: in that position, you stay where you're at.
- 2:42Speaker 5: Okay, I I mean, I agree, I think they there's
- 2:48Speaker 5: two ways to think about it.
- 2:49Speaker 6: Certainly, don't move up. I don't.
- 2:51Speaker 5: I haven't even heard anyone say that, so I think
- 2:53Speaker 5: we're just making sure we mentioned it yesterday for the
- 2:55Speaker 5: first time. My God, don't move up. And there's a
- 3:01Speaker 5: couple of there's two ways to think of it, and
- 3:03Speaker 5: I get it. I'm just like I'm wasting perfectly good
- 3:07Speaker 5: oxygen over here talking about trading back. I get it,
- 3:10Speaker 5: And in the air, I'm just gonna still do it
- 3:12Speaker 5: because I think it's still a rational decision. I think
- 3:16Speaker 5: those three or four players that have really emerged as
- 3:20Speaker 5: guys that we think are gonna fall in that five
- 3:23Speaker 5: to ten six to ten range, the emergence of those
- 3:27Speaker 5: guys in the offseason as being thought of as like, man,
- 3:30Speaker 5: these are top five talents that are gonna go in
- 3:33Speaker 5: that range that either the two schools I thought is well,
- 3:38Speaker 5: you're gonna get a really good player at that spot,
- 3:40Speaker 5: or it's gonna make your spot more valuable in a trade.
- 3:44Speaker 5: Maybe you get another pick that you wouldn't normally get
- 3:48Speaker 5: on another year.
- 3:49Speaker 6: Maybe it's you get a higher pick.
- 3:51Speaker 5: I just think the Saints are still on a spot
- 3:53Speaker 5: where you're so many positions away, youre's so many players away. Yeah, Like,
- 3:58Speaker 5: let's not put rose colored glasses on just because we
- 4:00Speaker 5: found a quarterback. The Saints were still not very good,
- 4:04Speaker 5: and there was like the week of the trade deadline,
- 4:08Speaker 5: it was we were talking about a fire sell, not
- 4:11Speaker 5: just us, everybody was yeah, Nick Underhill, Ross Jackson, they
- 4:15Speaker 5: were all talking about, like you sell whatever you can,
- 4:17Speaker 5: whatever's got value. So let's not get it twisted. The
- 4:19Speaker 5: Saints are not threatening to win a championship next year.
- 4:23Speaker 5: It's just not happening. They were not good this past year. Now,
- 4:27Speaker 5: there's a lot to be hopeful for. But you need
- 4:30Speaker 5: so many different positions. And I get it. A top
- 4:34Speaker 5: guy makes you better fast, right, But more picks make
- 4:41Speaker 5: you if you hit, that's you know, that's the caveat.
- 4:45Speaker 5: If you hit the more picks makes you better over time. Yeah, so,
- 4:49Speaker 5: and that's the goal. I think when when you find
- 4:51Speaker 5: a young quarterback and you have a young head coach
- 4:54Speaker 5: and there's a lot of hope, like we're we I mean,
- 4:57Speaker 5: I do really believe. I think Mickey has made really
- 5:00Speaker 5: good moves recently. And I get and I get the
- 5:03Speaker 5: frustrations in the last decade, Like there's been times where
- 5:07Speaker 5: were like, man, this is we're in cap hell, we're
- 5:09Speaker 5: not making the right decisions.
- 5:10Speaker 6: Why do we draft this blah blah blah.
- 5:12Speaker 5: But like with the recency bias, like the moves for
- 5:15Speaker 5: whatever reason, whether Kellen Moore is having more say or
- 5:17Speaker 5: whatever it is. The moves have been really good from
- 5:21Speaker 5: our point of view at least, so I'd still like
- 5:24Speaker 5: to see the trade back. But I know it's you know,
- 5:26Speaker 5: there's like a one percent chance that'll happen. But I
- 5:29Speaker 5: guess that's my that's my take, that's my stance on it.
- 5:33Speaker 3: I I understand the trade back and you're going to
- 5:35Speaker 3: have I think a lot of value because of what
- 5:37Speaker 3: I just said.
- 5:38Speaker 5: If you were a little bit better last year, I
- 5:40Speaker 5: could see, like I would get behind, Yeah let's get
- 5:43Speaker 5: a let's get a badass player right here.
- 5:45Speaker 3: Yeah No, I understand that thinking, but I do think
- 5:47Speaker 3: the player is going to be really bad ass that
- 5:50Speaker 3: you can have.
- 5:52Speaker 5: I just think we get a little bit twisted because
- 5:54Speaker 5: of for a team that wasn't very good this past year,
- 5:58Speaker 5: like Saints fan, like I felt like everybody was on
- 6:02Speaker 5: this this really positive. It ended very positively for the
- 6:06Speaker 5: Saints because you found your quarterback and that's the reason.
- 6:10Speaker 5: So I think it's easy to kind of get it
- 6:11Speaker 5: twisted and kind of forget that. Still, the team's not
- 6:15Speaker 5: where it needs to be at hardly any position, and
- 6:19Speaker 5: it needs to improve and it needs it needs upgrades
- 6:22Speaker 5: almost everywhere on the on the football field. So I
- 6:25Speaker 5: think it's easy to forget that. And there's a lot
- 6:28Speaker 5: of good moves out there was made in free agency,
- 6:30Speaker 5: but I think numbers, there's power in numbers in the draft,
- 6:36Speaker 5: especially when you're in a spotlight the Saints.
- 6:38Speaker 3: Yeah, I was trying to see, like in the range,
- 6:47Speaker 3: like if the Jets, who have two first round picks,
- 6:49Speaker 3: if they wanted to move up to eight, they could
- 6:53Speaker 3: give the Saints their first round pick at sixteen, their
- 6:59Speaker 3: second round pick at forty four, and they could also
- 7:03Speaker 3: give them a fourth rounder. That's kind of what the
- 7:04Speaker 3: trade chart says to move up from sixteen to eight
- 7:07Speaker 3: the Jets.
- 7:07Speaker 5: Well, on draft days, the Jets will have seven first
- 7:09Speaker 5: round draft picks to be able to deal.
- 7:12Speaker 3: Yeah, so would you move if you're the Saints at eight?
- 7:16Speaker 3: Would you move back for sixteen forty four and a
- 7:19Speaker 3: third or fourth rounder?
- 7:20Speaker 5: Sixteen forty four So you're getting two second round picks
- 7:25Speaker 5: and an extra.
- 7:26Speaker 4: So no, you what you would get?
- 7:28Speaker 3: So you would give them eight and probably a four
- 7:31Speaker 3: and in return you would get sixteen forty four and
- 7:35Speaker 3: probably a third.
- 7:36Speaker 5: Okay, so you're getting you're gaining an extra second third, Yes, yeah,
- 7:42Speaker 5: in moving moving spot.
- 7:48Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean because at forty four you're you're supposed
- 7:51Speaker 3: to get a starter. You would be picking at forty
- 7:54Speaker 3: two and forty four, so you would have sixteen, forty two,
- 7:57Speaker 3: forty four basically for eight.
- 7:59Speaker 4: I think you could.
- 8:00Speaker 5: You could barter something in the future too with them.
- 8:02Speaker 5: They got so much coming up for them in the futures.
- 8:06Speaker 5: There they do the thing that's it takes two to TANKO.
- 8:09Speaker 5: They'd have to be able to do all that. But
- 8:11Speaker 5: why wouldn't they be.
- 8:11Speaker 3: The thing for me that suggests I want the Saints
- 8:15Speaker 3: to get a really good game changing player. But if
- 8:18Speaker 3: I'm trying to make the argument for you, the thing
- 8:20Speaker 3: that still makes me nervous and eleven personnel right now,
- 8:24Speaker 3: you're rolling out Mason Tipton, Chris Olave, Devon Vele and
- 8:29Speaker 3: Juwan Johnson.
- 8:32Speaker 6: So it's mons or bust for you.
- 8:35Speaker 3: No, no, no, no, no no no. I think you
- 8:39Speaker 3: have the choice of Monsour, Delaine ruben Bain, Junior, Caleb
- 8:44Speaker 3: Downs potentially and maybe now. I don't think dan Quinn
- 8:47Speaker 3: would pass up Sunny Styles, but you might pass him
- 8:49Speaker 3: up there, I don't think Right now for me, there's
- 8:53Speaker 3: a receiver, be it because of health concerns or production,
- 8:57Speaker 3: that I would take in the top ten, I don't
- 8:59Speaker 3: think so. Now I think what's gonna happen. I think
- 9:02Speaker 3: one's gonna happen. I think the Browns at six probably
- 9:07Speaker 3: gonna take a receiver. Me personally, Jordan Tyson's health scares me.
- 9:12Speaker 3: We still haven't seen him do anything this all season.
- 9:15Speaker 3: Carnel Tate's been a two to his entire career. Not
- 9:17Speaker 3: to say he's not a great player. I think he's
- 9:19Speaker 3: a very good player. I would have a hard time
- 9:21Speaker 3: taking a guy that's never been a one in the
- 9:23Speaker 3: college ranks. I don't care who was in front of him.
- 9:26Speaker 3: I don't care if it was Jeremiah Samith and Marvin
- 9:28Speaker 3: Harrison Junior. I don't care about that. He was still
- 9:30Speaker 3: always a two and you're gonna take him in the
- 9:32Speaker 3: top ten like that? That concerns me. Now sixteen, to
- 9:37Speaker 3: your point, that's a different conversation. But at eight, I
- 9:41Speaker 3: don't think there's a player valuable enough at eight. But
- 9:44Speaker 3: if you did move back to sixteen and you gained
- 9:46Speaker 3: forty four, then I could have the receiver discussion.
- 9:51Speaker 4: But we all know Mickey ain't trading back.
- 9:56Speaker 3: If he did, I mean, and you got the assets
- 9:59Speaker 3: that were taking talking about, be awesome, be great, just
- 10:03Speaker 3: not his mo.
- 10:05Speaker 6: I know.
- 10:06Speaker 5: Like I said, we started the segment, I said, I'm
- 10:08Speaker 5: wasting oxygen talking about it.
- 10:09Speaker 3: But it'd be cool, all right, Elandra Tata. If one
- 10:15Speaker 3: of those four players that I mentioned, Sunny Styles, Monster Lane,
- 10:18Speaker 3: Reuben Bain, Caleb Downs are there at eight, but you
- 10:21Speaker 3: have this offer.
- 10:23Speaker 4: You have an offer from.
- 10:24Speaker 3: The Jets to move back, and they're gonna give you
- 10:27Speaker 3: their first round pick at sixteen and forty four and
- 10:29Speaker 3: then something else, be it a third or fourth round pick,
- 10:32Speaker 3: depending on the chart. But those players are available, Elandra
- 10:36Speaker 3: will start with you.
- 10:37Speaker 4: What do you do if.
- 10:38Speaker 7: They're available at sixteen or available at eight?
- 10:41Speaker 4: At eight, you can select one of them like it's.
- 10:46Speaker 3: A boat where you take the other box.
- 10:49Speaker 4: Its could be something cool like a boat.
- 10:50Speaker 7: We have the eighth pick, and then so you.
- 10:53Speaker 4: Have the eighth pick and forty second pick. That's your order.
- 10:56Speaker 3: But if a team like the Jets, who have two
- 10:58Speaker 3: first round picks, offered you sixteen, forty four and something else,
- 11:02Speaker 3: would you move back eight spots?
- 11:05Speaker 7: I don't think I would I just think that you're
- 11:10Speaker 7: I think at sixteen you're not gonna get what you
- 11:12Speaker 7: want there. And I think that the Saints want a
- 11:17Speaker 7: good defensive player, and I think monsort In Delayne is
- 11:21Speaker 7: a good defensive player. And I still think that you
- 11:26Speaker 7: don't really, I don't know. Maybe I don't know if,
- 11:29Speaker 7: like a lot of people think Conceptsion will fall to
- 11:32Speaker 7: forty whatever, But I think that you can still get
- 11:34Speaker 7: someone that's productive and good there. But the Saints can
- 11:37Speaker 7: also maybe move up and try to get him. But
- 11:42Speaker 7: I don't know. I think I would stay at eight
- 11:46Speaker 7: if I were the Saints, just to be safe.
- 11:48Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean, you're gonna get a really good player, yeah,
- 11:52Speaker 3: a potential game changer.
- 11:55Speaker 4: So like, I don't think that's a bad situation.
- 12:00Speaker 6: There's a good guard available at.
- 12:01Speaker 2: Eight, do, Yeah, there'll be some studs there. You can
- 12:07Speaker 2: get one at sixteen though, too, Matt, do I have
- 12:09Speaker 2: to trade with the Jets?
- 12:12Speaker 3: Oh No, I mean that's just a team that world.
- 12:14Speaker 3: That's a team that has multiple first round picks. They've
- 12:16Speaker 3: got four picks in the first fifty, so they've got
- 12:19Speaker 3: trade assets.
- 12:20Speaker 4: To MAT's point he's been making.
- 12:22Speaker 2: I would call Jerry Jones and see if he would
- 12:25Speaker 2: give me twelve and twenty. They wouldn't do that, then
- 12:29Speaker 2: I'm probably not traded.
- 12:31Speaker 3: If he falls in love with somebody, they would give
- 12:33Speaker 3: you twelve and next year's first.
- 12:34Speaker 7: Right.
- 12:35Speaker 4: What if Sonny?
- 12:36Speaker 5: What if Sonny falls at eight and Jerry's in love
- 12:39Speaker 5: with him? Is he worth somebody making a snap decision
- 12:46Speaker 5: like that?
- 12:51Speaker 7: My question, he can find what you need where you
- 12:53Speaker 7: somethink he's giving twelve to twenty.
- 12:55Speaker 4: The trade chart would be way off if you did that.
- 12:59Speaker 2: I would love to have forty two and forty four
- 13:02Speaker 2: from the Jets. I just I don't really know what
- 13:05Speaker 2: you gain at that point falling back, Like, yeah, you
- 13:07Speaker 2: get the second second round pick for sure, but who's
- 13:10Speaker 2: gonna be there. I mean, you have forty two and
- 13:12Speaker 2: forty four and you're still losing out on a better player.
- 13:15Speaker 2: To me, I don't think the Saints really come out
- 13:17Speaker 2: ahead on that. I mean maybe in the long run,
- 13:20Speaker 2: but you know, you actually brought up the point in
- 13:22Speaker 2: Laundra of trading back or trying to see if a
- 13:26Speaker 2: guy like Casey concept you could fall. There's been a
- 13:28Speaker 2: lot of talk of the Saints trading up from forty
- 13:31Speaker 2: two to either get back into the first round or
- 13:34Speaker 2: a better second round pick. They have the capital to
- 13:37Speaker 2: do it. There's been a lot of talk. Roster Jackson
- 13:39Speaker 2: put it out on Louisiana Sports dot Net, like three
- 13:42Speaker 2: guys he thought the Saints could trade for, one of
- 13:43Speaker 2: which was Casey concepts you own because he's getting a
- 13:46Speaker 2: lot of hype, a lot of people don't think he's
- 13:47Speaker 2: gonna be there at forty two. A Keem Mezzador is
- 13:50Speaker 2: an edge rusher. And then he puts Kenyon sadis.
- 13:53Speaker 4: Not going past Dallas's second pick at twenty.
- 13:56Speaker 2: Well, so so that's the thing. He's like, how do
- 13:58Speaker 2: you how do you trade back up? You get a
- 14:00Speaker 2: higher second pick in order to do it? So like,
- 14:03Speaker 2: I don't think they trade back, but there's a chance
- 14:05Speaker 2: they could trade up from forty two and I'd be
- 14:07Speaker 2: all for that.
- 14:07Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 14:09Speaker 3: Look, you trade back in the first round, you get
- 14:11Speaker 3: Omar Cooper Junior from Indiana.
- 14:12Speaker 5: I would love that. I love that guy. That guy's
- 14:17Speaker 5: competitive at the Where's this one thing we all got
- 14:19Speaker 5: to remember? Who is the best GM in last year's draft?
- 14:25Speaker 4: Limis he won the award?
- 14:26Speaker 6: Won the award?
- 14:27Speaker 4: We're not saying, not the hardware.
- 14:29Speaker 5: He's paying the manor so we're going in the draft
- 14:34Speaker 5: with a ragining draft champion GM I believe.
- 14:40Speaker 2: So basically what you're saying is the Saints have the
- 14:42Speaker 2: advantage over everyone else.
- 14:43Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 14:47Speaker 7: I can't join you on that one. I can't bring
- 14:50Speaker 7: myself to join.
- 14:50Speaker 3: You, but maybe you will in April at the end
- 14:52Speaker 3: of maybe after Pittsburgh.
- 14:55Speaker 7: My stance on that though.
- 14:57Speaker 4: Maybe he does it.
- 14:58Speaker 7: I don't think it's maybe Dre maybe he joins the show.
- 15:02Speaker 4: Maybe maybe just maybe we get him after the draft.
- 15:05Speaker 6: It's one month right there.
- 15:08Speaker 4: It is a one month ease.
- 15:11Speaker 2: That's great, But no, I would not trade back for
- 15:15Speaker 2: sixteen and.
- 15:18Speaker 4: Not doing that.
- 15:18Speaker 7: I just don't think there's a point to that.
- 15:21Speaker 4: Hey, you suck.
- 15:23Speaker 7: I agree that you don't get anything out of it,
- 15:25Speaker 7: really and like.
- 15:26Speaker 2: You lose out on a better player in round one.
- 15:28Speaker 3: I think if those players there, I actually agree with
- 15:30Speaker 3: you all. I don't think I could pass up one
- 15:32Speaker 3: of those four players. It was it wasn't the juicy
- 15:35Speaker 3: at the trades you offered me. But that's what the trade.
- 15:38Speaker 4: That's what the trade, that's what the chart says, that's
- 15:41Speaker 4: what the narrative. I had to go with it. I
- 15:43Speaker 4: had to go and it wasn't the juicy.
- 15:45Speaker 6: Hat trade offer.
- 15:46Speaker 3: So that's what the trade first said.
- 15:49Speaker 4: Next year, that's the conversation that you would number one.
- 15:53Speaker 4: So give me your first this year, next year, I'll
- 15:55Speaker 4: give you my first and my third.
- 16:01Speaker 7: Anyways, sad, I.
- 16:02Speaker 2: Actually actually I don't hate that one.
- 16:06Speaker 4: Say it again.
- 16:07Speaker 5: You give me your first this year and next year.
- 16:08Speaker 5: Give me a first this year, next year, and I'll
- 16:10Speaker 5: give you my first in my third this year.
- 16:12Speaker 3: That would be the Cowboys. You're talking to Jets, Well,
- 16:15Speaker 3: Jets aren't giving you. Jets aren't doing that.
- 16:18Speaker 5: Why they have seven to deal. They have seven first
- 16:20Speaker 5: rounders to deal, not to move up eight spots. But
- 16:25Speaker 5: they're getting they're gaining a third this year. They need
- 16:27Speaker 5: to win now, Aaron Glenn has to win this year.
- 16:30Speaker 4: The team almost had an interception last year.
- 16:32Speaker 3: Huh, they almost had They almost had an interception last year.
- 16:35Speaker 5: They could get and they and you don't think they
- 16:39Speaker 5: want Montsordaline.
- 16:41Speaker 6: I don't want him to.
- 16:41Speaker 4: Go to the Jets. Oh please, don't do that to him.
- 16:44Speaker 6: Don't trade back just for that. Don't let you.
- 16:46Speaker 3: That's right, all right, we will step away more O
- 16:48Speaker 3: TV when we come back here from the Raisin Kings State.

- 19:34Speaker 4: You clean your mouth up? Tookiss your mother with that
- 19:36Speaker 4: mouth seems disrespectful to Ruth.
- 19:41Speaker 6: It's rude. Soon it'll be very clean. So I'm gonna

- 19:56Speaker 6: Keeping it pretty clean here from seven to ten, sure.
- 19:58Speaker 4: Well seven to eight? Uh did you see the baseball
- 20:01Speaker 4: fight last Oh?
- 20:02Speaker 6: Yeah I did. I was great.
- 20:04Speaker 3: Its Braves and it was Angels tte. My apologies for
- 20:07Speaker 3: not getting you prepped on this, but I just thought
- 20:09Speaker 3: about it. So can you pull that video up? So
- 20:13Speaker 3: there's history there as well, is there?
- 20:16Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 20:16Speaker 6: They don't like each other.
- 20:17Speaker 3: Well, the player that got hit was a World Series
- 20:20Speaker 3: hero for the Atlanta Braves and he's playing against the
- 20:24Speaker 3: Atlanta Braves. So Lair was somebody that hit a bomb
- 20:30Speaker 3: against the Houston Ashros. That thing has not landed yet
- 20:33Speaker 3: in the World Series. And so, like you know, he's
- 20:34Speaker 3: got a lot of friends that were on that team
- 20:36Speaker 3: that are still on the Braves team. But Lopez, the
- 20:40Speaker 3: pitcher had hit him earlier in the game, kind of
- 20:42Speaker 3: came up and in a second time, so he charges
- 20:45Speaker 3: the mound.
- 20:45Speaker 4: Well, Lopez is like standing his ground.
- 20:47Speaker 3: He still got his glove on, he's got the baseball
- 20:50Speaker 3: in his hand, and he's actually he's swinging.
- 20:55Speaker 4: He's swinging with the ball. Ye yeah, yeah, Like it's smart.
- 21:00Speaker 3: Actually I have never seen a baseball player do that, right,
- 21:03Speaker 3: like throw it out about it.
- 21:04Speaker 4: He's thought about this. Yeah, if somebody comes to me,
- 21:06Speaker 4: I'm going to keep this base. What do you think?
- 21:08Speaker 4: Is that a bush league move?
- 21:09Speaker 3: Or is it just you look, I mean the other
- 21:11Speaker 3: guy's coming at you. I mean you're staying in your ground.
- 21:14Speaker 3: I mean, well, the problem is bats out there.
- 21:16Speaker 5: Before we've seen but we hadn't have we seen the
- 21:19Speaker 5: bat be used like in Major League Baseball. I know
- 21:21Speaker 5: in some of the other leagues around, like the smaller leagues,
- 21:24Speaker 5: we've seen people use bats.
- 21:26Speaker 4: Whoa oh yeah.
- 21:28Speaker 3: And then the best part is go back a little
- 21:30Speaker 3: bit of the best part. Walt Weiss, who's the manager
- 21:34Speaker 3: for the Atlanta Braves. Now, Walt Weiss was a you know,
- 21:37Speaker 3: shortstop for a long time in the big leagues.
- 21:39Speaker 4: I mean, look, he's right here. This is if you're
- 21:42Speaker 4: watching this on YouTube. That's in the middle of it.
- 21:46Speaker 3: He tackles Sore because I'm sure like they have a
- 21:50Speaker 3: good history, Like you know, they they've known each other
- 21:52Speaker 3: for a while, and he's probably trying to like de
- 21:55Speaker 3: escalate the situation.
- 21:56Speaker 4: But I mean he formed tackles.
- 21:58Speaker 5: Yeah, Taylor, I don't know if you're gon have time
- 22:01Speaker 5: to pull it up. It was like it was from
- 22:03Speaker 5: a tweet, but like it was a perfect tackle. They
- 22:05Speaker 5: have a slow move video of it, boom, wrap them up,
- 22:09Speaker 5: and I think what's at the end. He was like,
- 22:11Speaker 5: I don't know, He's like I just felt in the
- 22:12Speaker 5: moment I needed to get him off his feet because
- 22:14Speaker 5: he was he was coming with a large human.
- 22:18Speaker 6: He was coming with some anger.
- 22:19Speaker 5: And I get why he was coming with anger because
- 22:21Speaker 5: he just got hit in the face with a baseball
- 22:23Speaker 5: in a guy's hand.
- 22:25Speaker 2: Yeah, though, like you're like, which one's Walt, and then
- 22:28Speaker 2: you're looking to see the old is just in the
- 22:33Speaker 2: middle of it.
- 22:34Speaker 5: I mean head across the bout like it's his head
- 22:37Speaker 5: a little bit, but helmet a little bit. You know,
- 22:40Speaker 5: he live with a crown or a baseball guy. The
- 22:44Speaker 5: first time I saw the fight, I was like, well,
- 22:45Speaker 5: typical baseball fight. Nobody makes contact with anybody. They backpedal, swing,
- 22:49Speaker 5: windmill swings, Nobody stays in the pocket. Nobody's ever done
- 22:52Speaker 5: it before. You're gonna stay in the poet. If you
- 22:54Speaker 5: want to create the power, you can't win mill. It
- 22:57Speaker 5: like you do create some power with the windmill, but
- 23:00Speaker 5: the accuracy is gone and they have time to react
- 23:02Speaker 5: and back up.
- 23:03Speaker 6: You got to stay in the pocket. Got a jab,
- 23:09Speaker 6: then you give him across.
- 23:10Speaker 4: The windmills, though, are pretty funny.
- 23:12Speaker 5: The wind like the baseball players love a windmill. It's
- 23:16Speaker 5: better than the soccer fights that we showed a couple
- 23:18Speaker 5: of weeks ago.
- 23:19Speaker 4: They're like open front fist and front fist front kick. Yeah.
- 23:26Speaker 3: So there's Walt Weiss trying to calm down a player
- 23:28Speaker 3: again that he knows very well, and that's why he
- 23:30Speaker 3: did relaxed. I just tackled, tackled the Greg Maddix's brother
- 23:35Speaker 3: with the sweet mustache. They're coaching for the Angels.
- 23:37Speaker 6: But we love to see it though, right, we love
- 23:39Speaker 6: to see a good fight. Don't fight, but like we
- 23:44Speaker 6: love to see it.
- 23:45Speaker 4: God's a large human too.
- 23:47Speaker 3: I had never seen the hold the baseball in the
- 23:50Speaker 3: hands like swinging. So he was hitting with the baseball.
- 23:53Speaker 4: Okay, so we never we never got an opinion from that.
- 23:56Speaker 4: Let's go around the rim.
- 23:58Speaker 5: What do we think about a baseball fight using the
- 24:01Speaker 5: ball as kind of like a pseudo brass knuckle situation,
- 24:04Speaker 5: put weight on your hand, using it as a weapon
- 24:06Speaker 5: in your hand to punch, like.
- 24:08Speaker 7: After after the fire already started, You pick up a
- 24:11Speaker 7: ball and you start.
- 24:12Speaker 4: He was in his hand, he had his glove on still,
- 24:17Speaker 4: the glove was on the left. The ball was in use,
- 24:19Speaker 4: the glove kind of like a face shield kind of.
- 24:24Speaker 7: I think that's a kind of a B move if
- 24:26Speaker 7: you start using like a brass knuckle situation with the ball,
- 24:29Speaker 7: like fight like a man and just use your hands,
- 24:31Speaker 7: you know, Okay, unless the guy has like a bat,
- 24:37Speaker 7: it's also a B move.
- 24:38Speaker 3: When Bryce Harper, remember when he had fight, he took
- 24:40Speaker 3: his helmet off and tried to.
- 24:44Speaker 6: Tailor.
- 24:45Speaker 2: Typically typically I would say no, don't don't try to
- 24:49Speaker 2: use it to your advantage. But you kind of brought
- 24:51Speaker 2: it up earlier, like it's baseball fight. We need a
- 24:53Speaker 2: little bit of excitement. Like I'm all for making it
- 24:56Speaker 2: a little bit dirtier, like getting it, getting it a
- 24:58Speaker 2: little bit more excited. I've always said that, like they're
- 25:02Speaker 2: in hockey fights, I want them to hit each other
- 25:03Speaker 2: with their sticks. I think that would be fun. I
- 25:05Speaker 2: think that would add an extra element to it. Like
- 25:07Speaker 2: I'm I'm all four spice and things up.
- 25:10Speaker 3: It'd be funny if it weren't the guy getting hit
- 25:12Speaker 3: with the stick, Jake, So what is your what's your
- 25:14Speaker 3: take on it? Uh, since he didn't come out there
- 25:19Speaker 3: with a bat, just throw your glove down, throw the
- 25:21Speaker 3: ball down, and yeah, just square up.
- 25:24Speaker 5: Yeah, I say we wouldn't like it if the batter
- 25:27Speaker 5: went out there with a bat, right, And that's using
- 25:30Speaker 5: your tools at your discretion. Now, the baseball there's only
- 25:37Speaker 5: so much damage of baseball is going to do, especially well,
- 25:40Speaker 5: you know, baseball players are never hardly ever going to
- 25:42Speaker 5: make clean contact except what was a Texas Ranger guy.
- 25:46Speaker 3: Ryan know when going a headline, Well that was awesome,
- 25:51Speaker 3: but sliding into second.
- 25:55Speaker 6: Ye how's it going?
- 25:58Speaker 4: Respect, But he stayed in the pocket, like we're talking
- 26:00Speaker 4: about stay in the pocket.
- 26:01Speaker 6: Nice.
- 26:02Speaker 5: You can tell he's done it before. He hadn't dreamed
- 26:04Speaker 5: of wind meals. Yeah, I think it's a little bit
- 26:07Speaker 5: of a bush leave me. I think you gotta just
- 26:09Speaker 5: drop the hands. Like in hockey, I don't want to
- 26:11Speaker 5: heal with sticks. Like I like the romance of the
- 26:16Speaker 5: drama gloves. Let's talk of their fist now, I don't.
- 26:20Speaker 2: The thing is, I want someone in the penalty box
- 26:23Speaker 2: for hitting someone with their stick, not deer in the fight.
- 26:25Speaker 2: I'm talking like a live skate and pick up the stick,
- 26:28Speaker 2: slap them. I'm good with that right over the face.
- 26:30Speaker 6: Yeah, oh yeah.
- 26:32Speaker 5: I also think in hockey fight, sa should take their
- 26:34Speaker 5: helmets off because they don't have like that face shield.
- 26:37Speaker 6: That's kind of hard to hit around.
- 26:39Speaker 9: Uh.
- 26:40Speaker 5: The hitter does have a distinct advantage though in this
- 26:42Speaker 5: situation because he's got a helmet on. So that's a
- 26:45Speaker 5: really distinct advantage in a fight. I think we throw
- 26:48Speaker 5: the glove down and throw the ball down, we throw
- 26:49Speaker 5: the bat down and throw the helmet down, and then
- 26:52Speaker 5: we see what happens.
- 26:54Speaker 2: That's what I think it's a gunny time there was
- 26:56Speaker 2: a there's like a football fight. Somebody would take their
- 26:59Speaker 2: helmet off, like why why are you taking on the
- 27:02Speaker 2: field and like a brawl, like they take your home right.
- 27:05Speaker 5: But I guess in a in it's properly named though,
- 27:08Speaker 5: it's a brawl in baseball, so I guess you know.
- 27:14Speaker 5: I saw a clip the other day of a batter
- 27:16Speaker 5: just turned around and started hitting the catcher with a bat.
- 27:19Speaker 6: I was like, where is what country is this?
- 27:23Speaker 7: Did y'all talk about coach daggs uh u l where
- 27:27Speaker 7: he got? Yeah, the bullpen like the James Dson pictures
- 27:34Speaker 7: and the bullpen started coming out the bullpen too.
- 27:38Speaker 4: You don't want to be the one guy that doesn't go.
- 27:41Speaker 7: I mean, I don't get what he was so mad about.
- 27:43Speaker 7: His player truck the first basement. Yeah they did, and
- 27:47Speaker 7: they both got ejected. I don't know what he was
- 27:49Speaker 7: mad about.
- 27:50Speaker 5: I gut some point, even as a player, even if
- 27:53Speaker 5: you're on the bench, you have respect and you are
- 27:55Speaker 5: taught like coaches on the other team are off limits.
- 27:58Speaker 5: You never talked, right, But it's one point you lose
- 28:01Speaker 5: your humanity a little bit. Yeah, when you get and
- 28:03Speaker 5: talked to when you know the other coach has lost
- 28:07Speaker 5: his humanity for a second. This little he got a
- 28:09Speaker 5: little snap of crazy in him right there. He's got
- 28:11Speaker 5: that look in his eye. At some point, you're just like,
- 28:13Speaker 5: all right, I'm a human.
- 28:14Speaker 7: He said, let's get it on.
- 28:15Speaker 5: I'm just a human, right so like this is another human.
- 28:19Speaker 5: The whole coach player thing kind of goes out the window.
- 28:22Speaker 7: He looks me in the eye, he said, let's get
- 28:24Speaker 7: it on.
- 28:25Speaker 4: I met the Fighting.
- 28:26Speaker 2: I was talking about The Fighting.
- 28:28Speaker 4: I love that movie.
- 28:32Speaker 3: No he I think he was acting like a yeah, yeah,
- 28:36Speaker 3: I don't like when you're trying to fight the other
- 28:37Speaker 3: team like in that situation.
- 28:39Speaker 4: Now, I do love when a manager loses his mind
- 28:42Speaker 4: on it. I love it.
- 28:45Speaker 3: The Blue Jays Gosman got called for a walk yesterday
- 28:49Speaker 3: and their manager.
- 28:50Speaker 4: Almost hopped a blood vessel, and I loved it.
- 28:54Speaker 3: Those dude, those umpires baseball umpires, and if you are one,
- 28:58Speaker 3: I'm sorry.
- 28:58Speaker 4: The wind is they're the worst. They think everybody's there
- 29:01Speaker 4: to see them.
- 29:02Speaker 3: And now with the fact that you can challenge it,
- 29:04Speaker 3: I feel like they're trying to find a new way
- 29:06Speaker 3: to insert themselves into the game. So they're trying to
- 29:09Speaker 3: come up with the ways to make everybody try to
- 29:10Speaker 3: look at them, like pointing the finger down. So you
- 29:14Speaker 3: called a block there, and oh my god, did he
- 29:17Speaker 3: get his money's worth?
- 29:18Speaker 6: It was another one this weekend. I lost it too.
- 29:20Speaker 6: That's a good one. Okay.
- 29:23Speaker 4: I got a question about the whole ABS system.
- 29:26Speaker 6: Is it true?
- 29:27Speaker 5: So I saw this come across and I didn't know, like, look,
- 29:29Speaker 5: I've I've succumbed to fake news on social media.
- 29:32Speaker 7: Yeah, I got it, Drew Brees saying Spencer Ratler's the
- 29:35Speaker 7: heart of the city.
- 29:36Speaker 5: Correct, he could have said it, but he didn't say
- 29:38Speaker 5: it in that at that point, and I reported it
- 29:42Speaker 5: cool in there, but I'd done it. Okay, So, but
- 29:50Speaker 5: is this true on the ABS that it can only
- 29:55Speaker 5: be used for pictures. They can't be used for position players.
- 29:59Speaker 5: I saw this clip of like a it was a
- 30:03Speaker 5: position player came in to pitch and he was telling
- 30:06Speaker 5: you know how, and he lobs it and they're like, well,
- 30:10Speaker 5: these are the umps getting their.
- 30:11Speaker 6: Revenge on him.
- 30:12Speaker 4: Can we fact check this?
- 30:13Speaker 5: Because I saw people talking about it, and I saw
- 30:17Speaker 5: what I thought was a credible source talking about it.
- 30:19Speaker 5: ABS can only be used against pitchers okay, because like
- 30:23Speaker 5: they were calling players comes in because they were like
- 30:26Speaker 5: throwing these moon balls right, and they were dropping in
- 30:28Speaker 5: and clearly the ABS.
- 30:30Speaker 4: It was like three feet away.
- 30:31Speaker 5: From the ABS system, but it was hitting the catcher
- 30:33Speaker 5: like in the mid where he's holding it, and it
- 30:36Speaker 5: was calling strikes and like the umps are getting their revenge.
- 30:39Speaker 7: So according to a quick Google search, right or am
- 30:43Speaker 7: I wrong, it says that under MLB's twenty twenty six
- 30:47Speaker 7: ABS Challenge System rules, ABS challenges are not permitted when
- 30:51Speaker 7: a position player is pitching. In a position player to pitch,
- 30:55Speaker 7: typically during a blowout, the automated system cannot be used
- 30:58Speaker 7: to challenge the balls strike calls made by the home
- 31:01Speaker 7: plate umpire. Yeah, I guess that kind of makes sense.
- 31:08Speaker 7: It prevents the system, is not a big deal. It
- 31:11Speaker 7: prevents the system from being used in non competitive, low
- 31:14Speaker 7: leverage situations.
- 31:17Speaker 6: So we could put like, if show he plays outfield.
- 31:21Speaker 7: When he's in the line, I don't think that's how
- 31:23Speaker 7: that works.
- 31:24Speaker 6: He can come in pitch.
- 31:26Speaker 2: That's not how that was a position player that.
- 31:32Speaker 7: Yeah, I don't think that's how that good. I don't
- 31:35Speaker 7: think that just.
- 31:36Speaker 2: Found himself a loophole.
- 31:37Speaker 6: Hello, call me the old skipper.
- 31:41Speaker 4: I don't like that. I don't hate that. Actually, all right,
- 31:45Speaker 4: on that note, we will take a break.

- 35:14Speaker 7: and I'm gonna give you a keyword and you got
- 35:16Speaker 7: to text the keyword to our text line. Okay, and

- 35:39Speaker 3: winner of our contentt Okay, Well, we'll do this. It
- 35:43Speaker 3: takes a little bit of time.
- 35:44Speaker 6: Since nobody can really answer questions.
- 35:46Speaker 4: Would you say, like, how many people do you want
- 35:48Speaker 4: to put in the wheel?
- 35:49Speaker 6: As many?
- 35:50Speaker 4: No? No, no, Well, I'm telling you the wheel gets
- 35:52Speaker 4: tedious when you're putting names in.
- 35:54Speaker 7: Okay, I don't know how many people are gonna end
- 35:56Speaker 7: up texting us.
- 35:57Speaker 4: I would say twenty five. Okay, twenty five will take you.
- 36:00Speaker 7: We'll get the first The first twenty five people to

- 36:13Speaker 7: pair of Hondo Rodeo tickets VI, I P.
- 36:17Speaker 4: I really need the phone line. How are you going
- 36:19Speaker 4: to be dead forever? Are the rules today?
- 36:24Speaker 7: Would you say?
- 36:24Speaker 4: How are you going to put their names in it?
- 36:26Speaker 4: Because because their numbers pop up right when.
- 36:28Speaker 7: They Yeah, but also like if they put their name in,
- 36:31Speaker 7: but also text me your name okay, but I think
- 36:35Speaker 7: they can register and put their name in so I
- 36:37Speaker 7: can see.
- 36:39Speaker 6: Okay, so you got a register.
- 36:43Speaker 7: But also if you just wanted to be like hashtag
- 36:46Speaker 7: whatever you guys sent me hashtag whatever the keyword I'm
- 36:48Speaker 7: gonna give you, give me put the info on it too.
- 36:53Speaker 6: I'm excited. So we're not due to call in today, No.
- 36:58Speaker 7: Call in today. Change it a little bit, change it up.
- 37:03Speaker 5: Sorry, but look, there's a consolation prize here. We get
- 37:10Speaker 5: to spend a wheel. I'm excited about that and nobody
- 37:14Speaker 5: and it's probably good for the listeners.
- 37:15Speaker 7: Because some of y'all were struggling.
- 37:21Speaker 4: It was good chaotic energy though it was really good chaotics.
- 37:24Speaker 7: I loved it.
- 37:25Speaker 6: Mm hmm, yeah, what's the key word going to be?
- 37:30Speaker 7: I'm excited about The tickets are for all three days,
- 37:34Speaker 7: by the way, because somebody just asked, what day are
- 37:37Speaker 7: the tickets for? All three days with you.
- 37:43Speaker 4: Get listen.
- 37:46Speaker 6: I want to hear some Creed this morning. I know
- 37:49Speaker 6: it's R and B, but you can basically treat.
- 37:51Speaker 7: We can do Creed tomorrow.
- 37:53Speaker 4: How can Creed be treated as R and B? Do
- 37:55Speaker 4: they have a collab with us? I don't know about.
- 37:58Speaker 2: Maybe even fairness, like it's gonna be a great concert,
- 38:02Speaker 2: but they're being treated as a country show.
- 38:05Speaker 4: True, you can kind of go wherever they want.
- 38:06Speaker 6: It sounds like that's pretty true. I'll put Creed in
- 38:09Speaker 6: a box.
- 38:10Speaker 4: Pretty true. It's pretty fair too.
- 38:13Speaker 7: They're a Christian band.
- 38:15Speaker 4: Scott stab is a Christian man.
- 38:17Speaker 7: He said it himself.
- 38:18Speaker 6: Yeah, he canna be flying around anything.
- 38:20Speaker 4: I've told you.
- 38:21Speaker 3: He was on the sidelines at Shreveport evangel for a
- 38:24Speaker 3: game in two thousand and one.
- 38:27Speaker 4: I believe and and Brock Berlin were boys.
- 38:31Speaker 6: I mean that was some peak Creed too, peak Creed.
- 38:35Speaker 6: My god.
- 38:36Speaker 3: It was like the first time we got to play
- 38:38Speaker 3: secular music, like over the loudspeakers because they were there,
- 38:42Speaker 3: so there was no Brave Heart theme, which was cool
- 38:45Speaker 3: at first. Then it kind of played out. Kirk Franklin stomped.
- 38:48Speaker 3: You can only play that so many times, right, So
- 38:51Speaker 3: when we got Creed.
- 38:54Speaker 5: Kidding me two thousand and one, that was back when
- 38:56Speaker 5: when you wore a suit, A man wore a suit
- 38:58Speaker 5: at shoulder pads and off, never touched an ankle.
- 39:02Speaker 7: I was just tagged and possibly the best thing that
- 39:04Speaker 7: I've ever seen the Utah Mammoth. Oh I know, yeah, wait,
- 39:11Speaker 7: you gotta take it. Yeah, shout out to Nookie. He
- 39:17Speaker 7: just tagged me in this on Twitter.
- 39:19Speaker 2: I had it last night.
- 39:20Speaker 4: I had it in my mind to bring up for flame.
- 39:22Speaker 7: This zamboni is mammoth themed. For those on radio, there's
- 39:27Speaker 7: like a huge hockey zamboni and it has light up eyes.
- 39:32Speaker 7: It's blue and it's a mammoth and they're calling it
- 39:36Speaker 7: the Zamoth. This is incredible.
- 39:38Speaker 2: So this sam Bonie was used in the two thousand
- 39:42Speaker 2: and two Winter Olympics. They bought it when this franchise started.
- 39:45Speaker 2: His eyes light and like this is it on the
- 39:47Speaker 2: ice they debut.
- 39:48Speaker 6: Incredible? So what team is this.
- 39:52Speaker 4: Hockey?
- 39:53Speaker 6: It's called the Zamoth.
- 39:54Speaker 7: Yep, that might be the key word?
- 39:58Speaker 6: Is that like.
- 40:00Speaker 4: And you can and people get they can do it? Like,
- 40:03Speaker 4: look how many people.
- 40:04Speaker 7: Are on it?
- 40:05Speaker 6: Is that safe?
- 40:06Speaker 4: Maybe some beads did the fire department improve this many people.
- 40:11Speaker 5: This is incredible. Okay, So what this brings up a
- 40:14Speaker 5: fantastic question. I know what a zamboni does.
- 40:18Speaker 4: Okay, I know what it does.
- 40:20Speaker 6: I think we all know what it does.
- 40:21Speaker 5: It makes ie smooth, It cleans it, It makes it smooth,
- 40:24Speaker 5: It gets rid of the skate marks, all this stuff.
- 40:27Speaker 6: How does it do it?
- 40:30Speaker 5: Does the front of it like heat, It melt it
- 40:33Speaker 5: down and then it sweeps it and it freezes from
- 40:35Speaker 5: the floor up. Does it spray more water on it?
- 40:38Speaker 2: I think it sprays water and then smooths it out
- 40:40Speaker 2: underneath with the brush like water in the front, brush
- 40:43Speaker 2: in the back.
- 40:43Speaker 5: But I feel like if you zamboni too many times,
- 40:46Speaker 5: there's gonna be the ice will raise raise because they
- 40:51Speaker 5: if you're spraying water. Yeah, but they sweep it off
- 40:53Speaker 5: almost immediately. I think that's the thing. I think they're
- 40:55Speaker 5: just trying just filling the gaps and then it freezes
- 41:00Speaker 5: that quickly. I guess, is it super cold water? Is
- 41:06Speaker 5: there a chiller inside the zamboni? These are the things
- 41:09Speaker 5: that I think about on a daily basis. I see
- 41:12Speaker 5: it working and I understand what it does. I want
- 41:15Speaker 5: to know how somebody we can get to the bottom
- 41:18Speaker 5: of that in our number three.
- 41:20Speaker 7: There you go it, Uh, I'm dead. People are texting
- 41:22Speaker 7: me keyword. That's not the you gotta wait for the keyword.
- 41:27Speaker 4: I actually appreciate that though.
- 41:29Speaker 7: And then someone just sorry, someone just said hashtag xamit
- 41:33Speaker 7: did you?
- 41:33Speaker 4: Did you know there was a Utah Mammoth hockey team
- 41:35Speaker 4: before today?
- 41:38Speaker 7: I didn't.
- 41:39Speaker 4: In fairness, they're like, they're new, Yeah, they're new. The expansion.
- 41:44Speaker 6: I think this first year is the Mammoth.
- 41:47Speaker 2: Yeah, last year, and like, let fans vote on a
- 41:50Speaker 2: name after the first year.
- 41:51Speaker 7: Really the team from Arizona or something like that.
- 41:54Speaker 6: Everybody's gonna know now because of the m.
- 42:00Speaker 2: A zambody it it shaves off the top layer with
- 42:03Speaker 2: a blade, collecting all the snow and chopped up ice,
- 42:07Speaker 2: and then it washes the surface with water and so
- 42:11Speaker 2: we're right, it kind of scrapes, washes in the middle,
- 42:14Speaker 2: sweeps at the back.
- 42:15Speaker 4: Okay, got the amber alert on? Yeah, we just got
- 42:17Speaker 4: an amber alert.
- 42:18Speaker 7: Who oh me too. Okay, if you're out there, look
