- 0:01Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Hi everyone, it's Justin here, Voices for Voices.
- 0:04Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Thank you so much for joining us.
- 0:06Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: If you're here in the United States or abroad, if you can do us a huge favor, give us a big thumbs up, like, follow, subscribe, share, reshare, repost, uh, even reach into your phone and share the Voices for Voices podcast with maybe 25 or 50 of your connections.
- 0:28Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Uh, that would be greatly helpful.
- 0:31Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: It's free to do, and it helps us get closer and closer and closer to reaching and helping at least three billion people over the course of my lifetime and beyond.
- 0:43Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Thank you so much for being with us.
- 0:46Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Uh, if it wasn't for you, we wouldn't have a show.
- 0:49Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: So thanks for tuning in.
- 0:51Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Uh, we just have a huge, massive heat wave uh this last basically week and a half.
- 0:59Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Uh so it's uh it's been toasty around here, uh, but it's uh it's good.
- 1:05Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: So um first and foremost, uh happy 250th birthday to the United States of America.
- 1:17Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Uh 250th of anything is is huge.
- 1:22Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Uh so wanna to to join in in with the celebration of um celebrating the 250th birthday of the United States of America.
- 1:38Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Uh, we know that uh through travels that we've made over uh over the years, uh there's uh I can always sense uh proudness uh to live in uh whichever country that we are we are in and uh always love to see that and I I usually get goosebumps with with that because it's just showing like hey, we're we're happy that we live in the the country that we do.
- 2:20Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Um and so I'm happy to live in the country I live in.
- 2:25Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Um but it's not all about me, and it's not all about just the United States of America, it's about the whole world.
- 2:34Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: So we are, as you know, or if you don't know, we want to help a lot of people, and that's not just people here in the United States, it's across the globe.
- 2:49Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: And it's because of you, because of your help, because you're sharing, uh, because you're joining in to our uh grassroots uh movement, voices for voices, that we're even able to fathom the idea to do what we're doing, to go where we're going, to help who we're helping and going to be helping um and bring the people along that we're gonna be bringing uh along um with with us.
- 3:23Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Uh mythical creatures around the world.
- 3:26Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Again, we acquire them late 2025.
- 3:30Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Uh, you definitely, for anyone that has a Facebook account, you wanna you wanna follow mythical creatures around the world.
- 3:41Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Uh there's already, I think, a hundred thousand that are following us on that specific area.
- 3:49Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Uh, so we also invite you to uh follow our mythical creatures around the world business unit, uh, because the uh the information, the stories, the experiences are like no other in the world.
- 4:08Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: You you just can't find can't find what you can find there.
- 4:14Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: And that's a big reason why we wanted to acquire them, because we wanted to make sure that their voice and voices continue to be heard even in the face of adversity, which we all go through from time to time.
- 4:34Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: So thank you for making mythical creatures around the world uh one of the, if not the biggest independent uh Facebook pages uh in the world, and that's uh that's incredible.
- 4:55Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: It really is, right?
- 4:57Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Because you know, we we we sit back sometimes and go, Who am I?
- 5:02Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Who am I to affect change?
- 5:06Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: How can I do it?
- 5:10Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: And it and it just starts with one thing, and then and then two, and then once you have two and you do one more, then you have three, and you see how methodical it is, and it does usually take a little bit of time, as we have noticed with voices, and I think patience is the biggest thing, just like here in the United States, and you know, celebrating our 250th uh birthday here, July 4th, 2026, takes time for things to happen.
- 6:01Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Some's good, some's not so good.
- 6:06Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: But nobody's perfect here in life, and we we know that.
- 6:11Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: So we're just we're just happy to be in one of the freest countries in the world.
- 6:22Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: But as I mentioned earlier, we love traveling to all the other countries that we do and will to meet, to help, to share, to listen, to give a hug, and to say thank you for making voices for voices, uh what we are, who we are, and to keep us going.
- 7:06Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: That's it, that's a huge part, right?
- 7:09Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Starting something, okay, that is a little on the easier side, depending on what kind of business you're looking at.
- 7:23Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: That's one thing, getting getting it, getting it started.
- 7:27Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: But to continue with the passion, the persistence, that's the hard part.
- 7:35Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: That's the hard part.
- 7:38Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Waking up every day going, all right, let's do it.
- 7:45Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Let's see what we can do today.
- 7:49Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: See how we can help.
- 7:55Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: I look at this in a little bit of a parallel of going to the gym, and I've chatted about that on earlier episodes.
- 8:15Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Right?
- 8:16Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: If you haven't done anything for a while, or it's like, all right, I'm gonna start going to the gym for whatever goals that we have, right?
- 8:25Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: We all have different goals.
- 8:28Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: So we get a membership, we start maybe that first week, you know, we're doing good, we're feeling good, then gets in the second week, and then third, and I found myself in the third slash fourth week going, oh, I don't, I don't, I don't know if I want to go to the gym.
- 8:54Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: And I I want to go to the gym, but we start doubting ourselves.
- 9:00Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: The same type of doubt with a organization with an organization, like voices for voices.
- 9:08Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: I can't tell you how many times I've been ready to pack it up and pack it in because of a thought in my head, an article that I've read, listening to somebody or somebody's going, you know what, we we're not gonna be able to affect change on the level that we want to.
- 9:41Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: And so there are those days of down where we're going, yeah.
- 9:49Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: I it was good while it lasted.
- 9:58Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: We have to we have to learn to just push through.
- 10:05Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: I don't want to say it's easy, like, oh, just push through.
- 10:08Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: It's not easy.
- 10:10Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: There's certain times you gotta just push through.
- 10:14Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: You know, there's weeks, as I've said, where we film a bunch of episodes, and then there's some weeks where we don't.
- 10:26Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: But we not only don't we need the weeks where we do film a bunch of episodes, we also need that I don't say time away of just relaxing.
- 10:48Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: I'm not saying just kick up your feet and like, oh, I don't have anything to do today.
- 10:52Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: I'm not talking like that.
- 10:54Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: What I'm talking like is let's free our mind, let's open up our mind to find out like what else, and think about what else we can do to help people how and who and when and where that's why we need those days where we're powering through, and we also need those days where we're taking that self-care and taking a break, right?
- 11:52Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Took a break.
- 11:58Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: So he's taking a break.
- 12:00Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: If he's able to take a break, then we sure should be able to take a break as well.
- 12:12Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: And then I just want to talk about you know self-imposed deadlines.
- 12:18Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: These are deadlines that we impose on ourselves, on our mind.
- 12:25Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Like I wanna I wanna film X amount of episodes this week or this year, whatever the time frame may be.
- 12:39Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Nobody's asking us, nobody's saying, well, you need to hit this is the goal you need.
- 12:48Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: We just self-impose those deadlines of I'd like to, it'd be nice to.
- 13:00Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: And so I think we can be a little kinder to ourselves.
- 13:08Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: I mean, if there is a true deadline that's tied to a paycheck, to a donation, to you name it, that's one thing.
- 13:25Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: But even at five hundred and over five hundred and twenty episodes where we're at, there's nobody saying Justin, this is how many episodes you you need to do this year.
- 13:48Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: And I haven't really even talked publicly or even privately, for that matter, about how many episodes we're looking at doing for the calendar 2026 as we you know ch turn the page from June to July.
- 14:12Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: So going from the first half of 2026 to the beginning of the second half of 2026.
- 14:23Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: So I don't I don't know where we'll end up, but I know that we're gonna end up in a really solid place.
- 14:34Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: And I think it's good not to have too many self-imposed deadlines.
- 14:43Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Because that's just added stress.
- 14:48Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Like if again, if there's nothing tied to like a payday or a donation or uh whatever type of business you're in, a sale, then then you do however many shows, you build as many widgets as as you can, you do as much marketing as you can.
- 15:22Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: But you know, we shouldn't beat up ourselves about these.
- 15:27Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: I've done it a fair amount of times.
- 15:33Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Well, Justin, we could have did this, we could have did that.
- 15:38Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Look, I didn't know we would come through and execute and be at the point where we're over 520 episodes in and continuing strong.
- 15:56Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Again, we have these goals, some goals we're able to hit, some goals we're not.
- 16:03Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: It's just life, things happen.
- 16:08Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: So the fact that we're able to be where we are, and to have at the foundation, at the core of our organization, mental health, trauma, recovery.
- 16:29Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: That's huge.
- 16:32Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: We we talk about some current events like this, right?
- 16:37Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Happy two hundred and fiftieth birthday to the United States of America, July 4th, 2026.
- 16:44Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: So we're able to talk about that as a current event.
- 16:51Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Just as we're able to talk about self-imposed deadlines.
- 16:59Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Some can be healthy, others cannot be healthy.
- 17:06Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: We do what we can.
- 17:08Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: If our body's telling us we need to rest, let's rest.
- 17:12Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Today was one of those days for me.
- 17:17Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: I did a whole lot of resting.
- 17:19Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: A lot of a lot of resting.
- 17:23Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: It's not just for the physical body, it's for the mental brain as well.
- 17:37Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: So it's healthy to take time away and then regroup and then jump right back in if it's meant to be.
- 17:53Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: So thank you for joining Voices for Voices.
- 17:58Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: You can find our podcasts everywhere you get podcasts.
- 18:04Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Again, if you can give us a thumbs up, like, follow, subscribe, share, reshare, repost, and even grab your phone if you're able to, and share the voices for voices, TV show and podcast with 25 of your contacts in your phone.
- 18:30Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: All of those things are free to do.
- 18:34Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: We are a 501c3 nonprofit charity organization.
- 18:38Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: So if it so moves you, that's how our organization is run.
- 18:44Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: That's what we run on.
- 18:48Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: You can donate at lovevoices.org.
- 18:55Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Lovevoices.org.
- 18:57Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: That is lovevoices.org.
- 19:00Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Thank you for being with us for this episode.
- 19:04Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Happy 250th birthday to the United States of America, and we look forward to seeing and meeting so many of you all across the world and seeing the happiness and the proudness that you are of your country.
- 19:31Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Thank you.
- 19:32Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: We'll see you soon.
- 19:34Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: We'll talk to you soon.
- 19:37Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: And have a great day.
- 19:40Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Bye bye for now.
