- 0:01The silver and gold price under attack, is it a pause or is it
- 0:06permanent? Is the bull run over or do we
- 0:09have brighter days ahead? We're going to get to the bottom
- 0:12of it in this video because there's a couple key things
- 0:15going on that we need to talk about that we need to consider
- 0:19as we consider our thesis that silver, gold, platinum are a
- 0:23smart investment, a smart way to protect our wealth.
- 0:27Thank you for being here this morning.
- 0:29Please subscribe to the channel. Give this a thumbs up.
- 0:32That'll help us get the word out to more people, people like you
- 0:35and you. Are you, Yes, you.
- 0:38There's only one you, and you are the most important part of
- 0:41Ron's basement. Let's get right into it.
- 0:43What has been causing this downdraft in the silver price
- 0:47and the gold price? And do we have legitimate reason
- 0:52to be concerned? Right.
- 0:54Look, guys, we've talked about this.
- 0:56We're going to have wild, wild moves.
- 0:58We've already had wild moves. This morning.
- 1:00I looked at the silver price, down $0.20.
- 1:03I looked at about 1/2 hour later, it was up like 15 cents.
- 1:06I was very happy. You're right, I don't like these
- 1:10down days. Neither do you.
- 1:12But we were up and now all of a sudden we're down again.
- 1:15What is causing it? Let's dive right in.
- 1:17I want to share with you what they're claiming the issue is.
- 1:23Let's go to Kitco and our friend Niels.
- 1:26I'm sorry, not Niels. Ernest.
- 1:28OK, wait a minute. Where did it go?
- 1:30Bear with me here. Just one second, guys.
- 1:33Just one second. Just one second.
- 1:37That's the wrong article. Hold on here.
- 1:42You get to watch me go through a little bit of challenge here.
- 1:48We're gonna get to this article because they're claiming they're
- 1:51trying to tell us. OK?
- 1:53They're trying to tell us that this is all about inflation in
- 1:58raising interest rates. I mean, it doesn't make any
- 2:03sense. OK, here we go.
- 2:10Here we go. Here we go.
- 2:13All right, let's get back here. Let's get back here and let's
- 2:18get here. Our friend Neil's gold prices
- 2:20remain under pressure as the Fed sees possible rate hikes if
- 2:25inflation picks up. We got news, guys.
- 2:29This, this, this is, this is noise number one.
- 2:32But we want to understand why in the short term we're having this
- 2:36drawdown in the silver price and gold price.
- 2:38It's all a bunch of BS. We know the reality.
- 2:43Inflation is not going away. The cat is out of the bag.
- 2:48The ship has sailed. the Fed actually needs inflation if they
- 2:52want any hope to perpetuate the system any further.
- 2:56And inflation is just another way to say that the dollar is
- 3:01going down in value and at the same time the value, the real
- 3:06value of gold and silver going up says although the US monetary
- 3:10policy has become a secondary factor in the gold market.
- 3:14That's very interesting that Neil's brought that up, right.
- 3:17What's the primary factor? And I have a new chart that I
- 3:20drew up that I'm going to show you here in a second that will
- 3:23show you what in in no uncertain terms with the primary factor is
- 3:28persistent inflation could create some further selling
- 3:31pressure on gold and silver as it could force the Federal
- 3:35Reserve to raise interest rates again, according to the minutes
- 3:39from the April May Federal Open Market Committee meeting.
- 3:44OK. So in recent days, members of
- 3:46the Monetary Policy Committee have said that while they are
- 3:49not ready to cut interest rates as inflation remains stubbornly
- 3:53elevated, they are also not looking to raise them.
- 3:56However, the minutes of the Fed meeting show that another rate
- 4:00hike could be a possibility. Oh, yeah.
- 4:03OK. This is where we have to laugh.
- 4:08OK. Various participants mentioned a
- 4:10willingness to tighten policy that means raise rates further
- 4:14should risk to inflation materialize in a way that such
- 4:18an action became appropriate. The minutes said the gold market
- 4:22is not reacting significantly. Well, it is now, right?
- 4:25We're down, down, down, down. the Fed could have to raise
- 4:28rates. Oh my gosh, we've actually
- 4:30talked about this about a month ago, right?
- 4:33the Fed is like in a, in a smoke and mirrors box at this point,
- 4:38guys. Sure, right.
- 4:40If inflation continues to go up, and by the way, it will continue
- 4:45to go up, sure, the Fed can raise rates, right.
- 4:47If inflation goes to 12%, thirteen percent, again, that's
- 4:51what the Fed wants. That's the only, that's the only
- 4:55survival mechanism that the Fed has at this point.
- 4:59Yeah, sure, they'll raise rates. The big key is the inflation
- 5:03rate will be higher than the prevailing interest rate.
- 5:08A lot of people would argue that's the case right now.
- 5:10If you if we actually calculated inflation the same way that it
- 5:14was calculated back in the 70s and 80s, it's all smoke and
- 5:17mirrors. It's all short term noise.
- 5:19But that my friends, is the reason why we had that drawdown
- 5:24yesterday, which is continuing through today.
- 5:27Within the silver and gold market, there's a major battle
- 5:32going on right now, a massive war, not just in the Ukraine,
- 5:37not just in Israel, not just potentially in Taiwan and and
- 5:41everywhere else in the world. There's who knows how many World
- 5:44War, there's a war going on in the silver market, in the gold
- 5:49market right now. They are afraid of the silver
- 5:53squeeze, OK? They are shaking in their boots
- 5:57about the silver squeeze. They're going to use any
- 6:00opportunity they can. I looked at the charts this
- 6:02morning on silver. It was like the price got
- 6:05pummeled. I don't know, 20 or $0.30 in the
- 6:08matter of seem like minutes, right?
- 6:10They will use every chance they can, every last bit of ammo they
- 6:14have to pummel the silver price. But hang in there, OK?
- 6:17Because what we're talking about is the coming final battle of
- 6:22the electronic markets, the COMEX and the LBNALBMA, the
- 6:26London Million Market Association, the manipulators
- 6:30versus real money, real physical demand.
- 6:34And what do we know, right? I'll tell you this right now if
- 6:39I don't have a crystal ball, but I believe we will have another
- 6:43surge up in the silver price and the gold price.
- 6:47And when this next one happens, that's when we'll have more and
- 6:51more people piling in. I have a graph I want to show
- 6:55you that I put together. Hold on here because I think we
- 7:01all know this, but I think that it's important for us to
- 7:05visualize this. This explains what has gone on
- 7:10and is going on right now in the silver and gold market.
- 7:14If you look at the top silver, I spelled silver wrong initially,
- 7:17so I had to put a little R in there.
- 7:18But silver and gold, physical metal, OK.
- 7:22And then to the right of that, we have mining stocks.
- 7:25You only see one green check mark on that, on that, on that
- 7:29graph, right? One out of four.
- 7:31That's because the only place where there's huge demand right
- 7:35now for physical silver and gold is in China, in India, in the
- 7:41BRICS countries. That's the green check mark.
- 7:43If you if you go down to the United States and the West, we
- 7:47don't have big demand for physical silver.
- 7:50This move that we had in the silver and gold price had
- 7:54nothing to do with the United States.
- 7:56We know that premiums are low. That's the biggest indicator as
- 8:00to the actual retail demand for physical silver and gold.
- 8:06We know that the ETFs have been having withdrawals, the SOV and
- 8:09the GLD if they even really hold physical anyway.
- 8:12But none the less we won't go down that path.
- 8:14Their holdings are down. The only place that there's been
- 8:18demand for physical is in the with the Chinese and the bricks
- 8:22and the mining stocks. I got news for you.
- 8:24People in China and India don't buy precious metal mining
- 8:27stocks. So that's a big X.
- 8:29Also in the USA and the West, there's no demand for the mining
- 8:34stocks. And you can see that by looking
- 8:36at the Hui. That's the gold bugs index, the
- 8:41ratio of that to gold, which is darn near at all time lows.
- 8:46So in the West, we don't have demand for the physical metal or
- 8:50the mining stocks. The only place that this is
- 8:52going on is on the physical side in China and India, right?
- 8:58And China's more than happy to take all of our physical gold
- 9:01and silver. They're like, yeah, send it on
- 9:03over guys. You know, we'll take it.
- 9:05It's it's, it's, it's all yours when the Westerners do wake up.
- 9:10OK. And if you're in the mining
- 9:11stocks, I am in the mining stocks as well into physical
- 9:14metal. If you're in the mining stocks,
- 9:17when it does pick up in the West, when it really picks up
- 9:21and it's it's was starting right and we're at a very delicate
- 9:25place right now. But when it really picks up,
- 9:28those mining stocks could prove to super, super take off.
- 9:32I want to show you this next chart.
- 9:35This one just absolutely blows me away.
- 9:38This is good news for physical gold and silver, OK.
- 9:43This is also good news for precious metal mining stocks.
- 9:47This comes from First Mining Gold's investor presentation,
- 9:50and it has to do with the company, but it has really more
- 9:53to do with the general market. Guys, this is a chart that shows
- 9:57all the way back to 1990. Those big yellow bars, Those are
- 10:02gold discoveries in the world. Look how much gold was
- 10:06discovered in 1990, Almost a quarter billion ounces.
- 10:10Look in the 1995 / 200 million oz.
- 10:13But do you see as you read this from the left to the right, that
- 10:18the amount of gold being discovered in the world is going
- 10:22down? Now, there's a something
- 10:24fascinating about this and exciting, right in the same
- 10:28chart. It could be thrown up there for
- 10:30silver. Silver's probably even crazier.
- 10:32But what is this chart telling us?
- 10:35OK, what this chart is telling us, if we go back ten years, go
- 10:39back to 2014, OK, look at that. There has been almost no new
- 10:44gold discovered in the world during that period of time Now,
- 10:50OK, which bodes well for future supply, right?
- 10:53That there won't be as much gold being produced 'cause they
- 10:56aren't finding it. But if you think about it, the
- 11:00gold that hold on here, there we go, the gold that is being
- 11:05produced now that all came from gold that was discovered back in
- 11:09the the year 2000, 2004, 2006. So as we move now into the
- 11:15future, there is gonna be a lower supply.
- 11:19The pipeline of new gold coming onto the market very well could
- 11:24be constricted under pressure. And it's not about look at the,
- 11:28the black line is the amount of money that's been spent on
- 11:31exploration. I mean, look, compare now and
- 11:35this is as of 2022, you're talking roughly what $7 billion
- 11:40back in, back in 1990, they they were maybe spending $2 billion
- 11:45and getting more. All the metal is going bye bye.
- 11:49That's what that's telling us. And again, when you look at 2014
- 11:54through 2022 and I would imagine if we had 2023 data as well on
- 12:01there, there's like no new gold. That's the gold that's going to
- 12:06be produced in the coming 10 years and the coming 15 years.
- 12:11I think that's a very, very excellent chart, which I believe
- 12:16in, in no uncertain terms, shows us that silver and gold, the
- 12:21supplies are limited. The easy silver, the easy gold
- 12:25is gone. What about going back to the
- 12:26gold standard? They're talking about it again.
- 12:30Let's go check that out. Oh, it never ends.
- 12:33I tell you what, guys. Here we go.
- 12:38Another one from Kitco. Thank you, Kitco, for your
- 12:41excellent reporting. Signs that a global gold
- 12:43standard is gaining traction from Steve Forbes Steve Forbes,
- 12:48right There are multiple indications that the world is
- 12:51progressing towards a transition to a new gold standard,
- 12:56according to Steve Forbes, chairman and editor, editor in
- 12:59chief of Forbes Media. It's hard to believe, but the
- 13:04world is beginning to lurch toward a gold based monetary
- 13:07system, Forbes wrote in an article published 2 days ago.
- 13:11This despite the fact that the historical gold standard is held
- 13:15in almost universal contempt by economist and financial
- 13:20officials. OK, he said.
- 13:22Despite the many myths and that, and we know that they hate.
- 13:26I mean, I'll be honest with you guys, I don't know how you feel
- 13:29about this, but like 5-10 years ago I used to hear like gold is
- 13:33the kryptonite or the. I never really understood that,
- 13:36but it's really become super clear to me that silver and gold
- 13:41are like the nemesis, the enemy of the US dollar, the paper
- 13:46dollar. I can't, I mean, I still just
- 13:49blows my mind that let's say 1015 years ago, I didn't I, I
- 13:55really believed that the dollar and had value, right?
- 13:59The dollar can be converted into something that has value.
- 14:02That would be gold and silver. But the the dollar, this paper
- 14:05thing, everybody's walking around in a dream world.
- 14:08He said despite the myths and pervasive ignorance surrounding
- 14:12gold base money, it worked well for a long time.
- 14:15I love this part and I presented this to you guys about 3 weeks
- 14:19ago. the US was on a gold base system for 180 years until the
- 14:24early 1970s when President Nixon temporarily took us off the gold
- 14:28standard, he said. We never had inflation when the
- 14:33dollar's value was tied to gold, the yellow metal, and and so we
- 14:38never had inflation and the United States of America
- 14:42experienced the greatest long term economic growth in human
- 14:48history. Conversely, Forbes said that
- 14:52since the United States abandoned the gold standard, OK,
- 14:56so we had 180 years of no inflation in the world's best
- 14:59economic growth ever, but President Nixon took us off the
- 15:03gold standard. Its average growth rates have
- 15:06declined by around 33%. Median household income today
- 15:11would be at least 40,000 higher if our traditional pattern of
- 15:16growth for those 180 years had been maintained, he said.
- 15:20None the less, the contumely and scorn for a gold stand, gold
- 15:24based monetary system is universal.
- 15:28So what do we know? What what, what do we know has
- 15:31happened since we went off the gold standard?
- 15:33I'll tell you what happened. The middle class got a screw
- 15:36job, OK, And the wealthy top 1%, top point 1% accumulated
- 15:43massive, massive amounts of wealth.
- 15:47And you know what? Your average Americans have no
- 15:50clue, right? They have no clue.
- 15:52They're mad about a lot of things, but they really aren't
- 15:54mad about what they should be mad at, and that is that
- 15:57economically, financially, they got a big screw job when the
- 16:01United States government decided foolishly to go off the gold
- 16:05standard. The ongoing trend of runaway
- 16:08public and private debt creation will inevitably kindle crisis
- 16:12that cannot be easily extinguished, Forbes said.
- 16:15This is crazy, guys. Total debt in the world today is
- 16:21more than $300 trillion, an astonishing three times global
- 16:28GDP. We know that statistically, when
- 16:31a country goes above, I think it's 120% of debt to GDP,
- 16:37there's like no chance that they ever come back.
- 16:39Oh, and by the way, the United States is there right now, but
- 16:42the world is at 300%. Is that crazy?
- 16:47That is crazy. Ford's also noted that
- 16:50activities of the bricks, which doubled in size at last year's
- 16:54meeting, whose members have been collaborating on de
- 16:57dollarization, de dollarization initiatives and alternative
- 17:02payment systems. Their monetary imagination so
- 17:06far have amounted to little, but that's starting to shift.
- 17:11He then pointed out the fact that how much better we would
- 17:14have been off with the with the gold standard and then how
- 17:19Zimbabwe is now is now experimenting with a true gold
- 17:26backed currency. The zig and talks about India.
- 17:31Yeah, experimented with gold backed government bonds last
- 17:34year and how these would probably be very popular with
- 17:38investors worldwide from the start of the floating currency
- 17:42era in 1971. To present a gold backed a Gold
- 17:46Bond paying 4% would have outperformed all stock and bond
- 17:51markets nationwide. Wow, wow, wow.
- 17:54This is Steve Forbes, right? I think he's worth like $400
- 17:59million. It's unbelievable.
- 18:02So should we end the Fed? That's the big question, right?
- 18:05Or should we end the Fed? What happens if we end the Fed?
- 18:08Right, We go back to the gold standard.
- 18:10What happens to the value of your gold and silver?
- 18:12Are the bricks going to force us into it?
- 18:14Let's talk quickly about ending the Fed because that is coming
- 18:18back as well. Our friend John a little at the
- 18:22Silver Academy sub stack. You can see it right there.
- 18:27Put out this article of the bill to end the Fed End the Fed put
- 18:30forward by Thomas Massie, the Centennial Monetary Commission
- 18:34Act that aims to establish a Commission to review and
- 18:38potentially restructure the Federal Reserve.
- 18:41Here are the key points introduced by Congressman Massey
- 18:44from Kentucky and seeks to create a Commission to study the
- 18:48Federal Reserve's operations, policies and impact on the
- 18:51economy over 100 years. This is our country, guys.
- 18:56This is our. This is not the Federal
- 18:59Reserve's country. It sure feels like that lately.
- 19:02I hope I don't get in trouble for saying that, but we got to
- 19:05remember our founding fathers put a put into the US
- 19:11Constitution, right? Silver and gold is money
- 19:15protections. This is our country.
- 19:17This is what Thomas Massie, right, trying to take our
- 19:20country back from the bankers. Oh my God, hold on.
- 19:23This is this is critical. This is this is this is hold on.
- 19:29Hold on. OK, this.
- 19:38Hold on, add the stage. All right, I want to read you
- 19:41this. This is all about the Fed.
- 19:44Should we end the Fed? There's me.
- 19:46There's the close down. Where did it go?
- 19:48There it is right there. OK, this guy is the one who
- 19:52signed the bill to create the Fed, Woodrow Wilson.
- 19:55What did Woodrow Wilson say six years, six years after he signed
- 20:01the legislation to create the Fed?
- 20:03OK, this is ex president Woodrow Wilson.
- 20:06Reflecting upon his decision to allow the Federal Reserve to be
- 20:10created, he said, I am a most unhappy man.
- 20:15I've unwittingly ruined my country.
- 20:18A great industrial nation is now controlled by its system of
- 20:22credit. We are no longer a government by
- 20:25free opinion, no longer a government by conviction in the
- 20:30vote of the majority, but a government by the opinion and
- 20:34duress of a small group of dominant men.
- 20:37OK, that's what our friend Woodrow Wilson said.
- 20:43Now back to this article. Here we go.
- 20:46All right, the Commission. So as we talk about ending the
- 20:49Fed and keep that in context, that's the president who signed
- 20:53the bill to put the Fed into existence.
- 20:55Proponents argue that the Fed has failed to maintain price
- 20:58stability. Check.
- 20:59Yeah. Go to the grocery store and full
- 21:01employment, citing high inflation rates and economic
- 21:04instability. Critics argue the bill is an
- 21:06attempt to undermine the Fed's independence and could lead to
- 21:09increased, excuse me, political interference in monetary policy
- 21:16decisions. the Fed and its supporters, right.
- 21:19Who supports the Fed? They're probably not people we
- 21:23know. Probably not.
- 21:23People we hang around with fear the bill could strip away its
- 21:27autonomy and ability to make policy decisions insulated from
- 21:30short term political pressure, blah blah.
- 21:32However, the bill does face an uphill battle to become law as
- 21:36it would require approval from both chambers of Congress and
- 21:41the president's signature. But Donald Trump ex president
- 21:45has stated under his presidency he would both explore a gold
- 21:50standard. Very interesting and take steps
- 21:55to end the Federal Reserve. Very interesting.
- 21:59OK, let's get back here. Hi guys.
- 22:03How you doing? 700 of us on a what is today
- 22:08Thursday morning. Let's throw the banner up saying
- 22:11thank you to our sponsors. I want to run out quickly.
- 22:13Let's check. Let's let's let's take our
- 22:16medicine. This is not going to be fun.
- 22:18I'm going to warn you, be prepared.
- 22:20Your blood pressure may go up, but we're going to check on the
- 22:23gold and silver price, brother. Gold down 36 dollars, silver
- 22:29down 62 cents. Not a fun day yesterday or today
- 22:35to be to be dealing with the silver and gold markets.
- 22:38But guys, we still have gold at 2343 dollars.
- 22:45Let's remember, let's look back, you know, six months, four
- 22:48months ago when we had gold, you know, we were talking about the
- 22:52fact that we could, we could breakthrough 2000.
- 22:55Silver is holding about $30.00 an ounce critical week, right?
- 23:01We talked over the weekend, I said, I thought that, you know,
- 23:04been a very short notice. We could be what it like 28, you
- 23:08know, or we could be at 3536. Trust me, I was rooting for the
- 23:133536 $38 within a couple weeks, but this can change quickly as
- 23:19well, right? I know on days like today,
- 23:20right, there's going to be there's the, the, the price, the
- 23:23volatility is is painful when it goes down.
- 23:28We love it when it goes up. The key is that we maintain an
- 23:32upward trend in both the gold and the silver prices.
- 23:37And I believe, and we'll go look at the silver chart here in a
- 23:39second, but I believe we can still say that we're in an
- 23:42upward trend in both of the metals.
- 23:44But let's say thank you to Pembex for sponsoring the
- 23:46basement, sponsoring this video, this, this live stream.
- 23:50If you're looking to buy yourself some silver, gold or
- 23:54platinum group metals, check out Pembex.
- 23:57You always want to get the best price, but you want to get good
- 24:00quality product and from a company you can dress.
- 24:03To me, Pembex checks all those boxes.
- 24:06And if you ever decide to convert part or all of an IRA
- 24:09into precious metals, do yourself a favor and check out
- 24:14Pendex for that as well. Let's go look at the chart here.
- 24:16Hold on guys, let's take a look at the silver chart and see how
- 24:21it looks. See how, See how, see how?
- 24:26Well, let's just go down here. I think you guys can see my
- 24:31screen right now. Yahoo Finance.
- 24:33Why they they've buried silver on Yahoo Finance.
- 24:37Very interesting. OK, and let's see if we can.
- 24:43There's gold. Ouch.
- 24:45And Choo Choo. I think silver's on the next
- 24:49page. There's everything.
- 24:50There we go. Oh my Lord.
- 24:53Wow. This is the futures for silver.
- 24:57Let's take a look at this chart and see what it looks like.
- 25:00Let's look at it on a three month basis.
- 25:03OK, OK, Three months ago, silver on 2/26, so 223, whatever silver
- 25:11right around my birthday was oh, roughly $8 lower.
- 25:17OK, On the three month chart, it appears to me we are in an
- 25:20uptrend. Let's look at the six month
- 25:22chart. OK, so if you kind of draw an
- 25:25imaginary line, right, like an upward sloping line like this,
- 25:30we're still OK, even if we get the $28.00 an ounce.
- 25:33All right, let's look, let's look at a year.
- 25:37Wow, this was, look at this, the price of silver just stuck
- 25:42between 25 and 21, let's say, for like, what?
- 25:48Oh gosh, must be nine months, right?
- 25:51And then broke out. OK.
- 25:53It's gonna come back, guys. It's not always OK.
- 25:56I feel better. I don't feel good when I look up
- 25:58here and see down 91 cents. Definitely.
- 26:01But when you look at this, this trend going up, OK, I know.
- 26:06I understand it. Like you, we just, we we think
- 26:09we just want it to be green every day.
- 26:11And it seemed like for like two or three or four weeks there, it
- 26:13would happen, right? Like they'd beat it down, then
- 26:16silver'd come flying back. It's gonna have its bad days.
- 26:20The important thing is that we remain in an upward trend.
- 26:25To me, it still looks like that. Brother, if we get below 30, I'm
- 26:30not going to be happy. But if we get below 28 range
- 26:34here in the next week, I'll be worried, OK.
- 26:38But for now, the thesis remains, and that's the important thing,
- 26:42right? As you hold silver and you hold
- 26:44gold, there's going to be volatile swings.
- 26:47The volatility, the big moves, $1.00 up, $1.00 down to dollars
- 26:54up, $1.00 down. As long as the UPS outweigh the
- 26:58downs over this. It's called a bull market.
- 27:02So let's hang in there and see what's going on.
- 27:05Yeah, I just want to touch on this.
- 27:06Have you noticed, and I'm hearing the, the, the, I heard
- 27:09Lynette Zhang say it yesterday and I've heard I, I know from
- 27:13talking to my contacts in the bullion industry, something very
- 27:16interesting going on in the silver and gold market.
- 27:18And that is that there are younger people, especially in
- 27:22Asia that are really taking to silver and gold stacking.
- 27:26I remember when I talked to the guys at Gold Backs like six
- 27:29months ago, they were like, you wouldn't believe how many of our
- 27:31customers are young people. That is a very, very good sign
- 27:36because haven't you heard like people say, oh, young people
- 27:40like crypto, young people are into crypto currency.
- 27:43When I'm not anti crypto, I'm not a fan myself personally, but
- 27:46none the less and they say, oh, you know, gold is for boomers,
- 27:50gold's for old. The gold and silver are for old
- 27:52people. The reality is something
- 27:55different, right? These in, in South Korea now
- 27:58they're selling little gold, little Graham, half Graham bars
- 28:02in convenience stores in China. They're selling gold beans.
- 28:06And who's buying them? Young people.
- 28:08Young people, right? But these countries, especially
- 28:12China, they don't trust their banks, do we?
- 28:14Do you trust your banks here in the United States of America?
- 28:18Of course you do. They don't trust the stock
- 28:21market. Do you trust the stock market?
- 28:22And I'm gonna talk about the, the crazy, scary situation in
- 28:27the stock market next. No, we don't trust.
- 28:29What about real estate? Is your, is my house really
- 28:32worth a half million dollars? The basement's priceless, but
- 28:38the house, a half million, give me a break.
- 28:42The people that move into my neighborhood can't afford 5 and
- 28:45$600,000 houses, you know, especially at 7-8 percent
- 28:50mortgage rates. So what are people doing?
- 28:52And that in China, that's the one of the reasons why, right?
- 28:56They don't trust the real estate markets bust, the stock markets
- 28:59bust. They don't trust the banks.
- 29:01They don't trust paper money, right?
- 29:03So they're buying gold, silver, and the young people are buying
- 29:06it more and more than ever. Let's briefly talk about NVIDIA.
- 29:10You know what? Let's go.
- 29:11Look, this will be fun. Have you heard about NVIDIA?
- 29:13The AI chip manufacturer, blah, blah, blah.
- 29:16I got something, and it relates to silver and gold.
- 29:20That has to do with NVIDIA. But let's go see how that's
- 29:22doing today. I'm gonna make me sick.
- 29:27Oh, it's only up 10%. OK, there we go.
- 29:30NVIDIA Corporation, this guy's is look, here's here's the
- 29:38reality of what's going on. The stock market's at all time
- 29:41highs, right? Gold's been at all time highs.
- 29:43The mining stocks have been getting killed, absolutely
- 29:46killed. But when we talk about NVIDIA
- 29:48and they had their blowout earnings and artificial
- 29:51intelligence, blah, blah, here's two key things to remember about
- 29:55these big tech companies. OK, these crazy stock prices are
- 30:00supported, right? A stock price, no matter what
- 30:04company you're talking about, is supported by one of two things.
- 30:10Real assets on their balance sheet or hope of future profits
- 30:16in the future, or some combination thereof.
- 30:19Every comp, these tech stocks are basically all hope.
- 30:23With a lot of them, for each dollar that you put into the
- 30:26stock price, you're lucky if you're getting 2 or $3 worth of
- 30:31real assets. So think about this is a double
- 30:35whammy, crazy situation, double, double shock, OK #1.
- 30:42The price of those stocks is based a lot on hope or what we
- 30:47like to call, we'll just call it a form of Unicorn fart test in
- 30:53there in a bubble, OK? There's bubbles floating around
- 30:57#2 it's actually measured. The value is measured in
- 31:03dollars, which is, as we all know, paper.
- 31:06It's like double paper. Make believe world with these
- 31:08tech stocks. It's absolutely crazy.
- 31:11OK, let's talk about silver now. We looked at this chart.
- 31:16How about thank you. That's Susie.
- 31:22Everybody say hi to Susie. We're going to leave her turned
- 31:26on for a little bit longer, put her back in her on her throne
- 31:29here. I don't want her to fall.
- 31:31She fell the other day. I need to ring the cowbell.
- 31:34Look, guys, it's a big deal when you join me here in the
- 31:36basement, basement dweller, stay with me, stay with me, 'cause
- 31:40I've got some a new little bit of good news.
- 31:44Big bit, big bit for silver investors.
- 31:47The trend is still up. I don't care.
- 31:49You know what? And coin shop, Chris was saying
- 31:51this last night. He's like, I'm happy it's going
- 31:53back. Testing 30, right?
- 31:55It's gonna go back, pull back and test these support levels.
- 31:59Come on, 30. We are at war.
- 32:01Silver, silver investors, basement dwellers.
- 32:05You know what? And we're in this together.
- 32:07I feel like a camaraderie with you.
- 32:09So thank you for being here. I ring the cowbell when we get
- 32:11to 200 thumbs up. It's a show of my appreciation.
- 32:17And I always sometimes do. One more for Jake from Jake's
- 32:22Custom Parts. Let's look at some exciting,
- 32:25optimistic news about silver. This has nothing to do.
- 32:30OK, Wipe it from your mind. I want you to wipe it from your
- 32:33mind. The unbelievable fundamental
- 32:37story behind silver. The the fundamental story that
- 32:41leads a lot of people to say it's the most undervalued asset
- 32:44on the face of the earth. We know that.
- 32:47Then why hasn't the price gone up yet?
- 32:51But I want to show you something which will give you cause for
- 32:56celebration. OK, let's pull that up.
- 33:00Oh, you know what? Since we're here, we'll just
- 33:02briefly 30 seconds. Let me talk about the silver
- 33:04rainbow. Right.
- 33:07Quickly. I got 30 seconds.
- 33:09I showed you this already. But don't forget, silver is
- 33:12bipolar. Silver is schizophrenic.
- 33:14Whatever the right word is. Silver has two personalities.
- 33:17It's a monetary metal like gold, but it's also an industrial
- 33:22metal like copper, right? So it's got two big components.
- 33:26Oh, did you notice gold's been at or near all time highs?
- 33:30It's back about a little bit off right now, but nonetheless,
- 33:33gold's entering near all time highs.
- 33:34Copper has been at or near all time highs.
- 33:37There's been a squeeze in the copper market, gold, central
- 33:41banks, all that good stuff. So silver, who's half and half
- 33:45the two medals that it's half related to have both been at all
- 33:49time highs and the fundamentals for silver even better.
- 33:53That's not what I brought you out here to show.
- 33:56I got another chart coming next but 1st we need to quickly
- 33:59review this one as well. The long term cup and handle in
- 34:02the silver price starting in 1980 at 50 and then 2011 silver
- 34:08hit 50 and it made a big cup and I was looking the other day
- 34:12between those periods it went down all the way to like 6-7
- 34:15dollars per oz but that created a big cup.
- 34:17Then we have the handle that's been forming since 2011, right?
- 34:22We broke out of the wedge. So within the handle, we're in
- 34:25the handle right now, $30 per oz, OK.
- 34:30Within that handle embedded, it was a wedge pattern like we saw
- 34:34in the chart earlier. We're silver for like 9 months,
- 34:37traded between 21 and $25.00. It broke out.
- 34:41It broke out. That's a good bullish sign.
- 34:44We also embedded. That's that little box that you
- 34:47see on there embedded within the handle, right?
- 34:50Now where we are is an inverse. I, I spelled it wrong and I
- 34:55forgot the right inverse. But anyway, inverse upside down
- 34:58head and shoulders, which is what you see there below.
- 35:01That's called the neckline, right?
- 35:03See, there's like a shoulder that's a upside down person.
- 35:06There's a shoulder on the left, a head in the middle, and then a
- 35:09shoulder on the right. And we're breaking out of that
- 35:12as well. But wait, there's more.
- 35:14So we've got 2 bullish chart patterns embedded within the
- 35:18handle. But wait, there's more.
- 35:21I've got this for you. OK?
- 35:23This I found yesterday and I didn't realize this.
- 35:28This comes from grady.com. OK, this is another way to look
- 35:32at that big cup and handle, right?
- 35:34If you look 1980 on the left and then 2011, there's the cup,
- 35:39massive cup. But within the handle where we
- 35:43are, there's a fractal smaller cup and handle.
- 35:49So not only within the handle did we break out of a wedge
- 35:52pattern, have an inverse head and shoulders, but we also have
- 35:56a cup and handle within the handle of the biggest cup and
- 35:59handle in the face of the earth. How can silver not go to $50
- 36:04this year? And I'm hearing people say that
- 36:06there was it just that it doesn't make sense, right?
- 36:11This though. Now take a deep breath with me
- 36:14and realize this is just the chart.
- 36:17This does not consider the fact that India's imported more
- 36:21silver during the first quarter of this year than they did all
- 36:25of last year. That China's Shanghai Gold
- 36:30Exchange has has a a silver price which at times is a little
- 36:35bit higher than what we have here in the United States of
- 36:38America. Let's go take a look at that.
- 36:40OK, here we go, Gold, Let's remember.
- 36:44Time for a quick little :) review, Basement dwellers, Let's
- 36:48remember gold is the Godfather. I'm trying to get Vinnie the
- 36:52coffee roaster on here with me. He's like the Godfather.
- 36:54He's Italian, he loves gold and silver, and he'll roast up some
- 36:57of the best coffee ever in your life.
- 36:59But nonetheless, Gold's like Vinnie the Godfather, right?
- 37:03Gold sees inflation running high.
- 37:07OK, that's the bottom line. Gold, and we're talking about
- 37:11silver as well, also realizes that debt is hemorrhaging all
- 37:17around the world. OK, I had something big I wanted
- 37:22to show you. Here we go.
- 37:23Here we go, Here we go. Hold on.
- 37:25So let's let's do our update on what's going on with the
- 37:28Shanghai Gold Exchange and the Shanghai Futures Exchange.
- 37:32Very important. This is from our friend Jamie
- 37:37Carrasco from Is it Canacord? I believe, yes.
- 37:41OK, interesting times ahead through and through.
- 37:45But particularly consequential with this historical precedence
- 37:49is what the new, oh, I hate this word, hegemony, hegemon.
- 37:55Hegemon. I can't say that word now.
- 37:57Susie's probably going to lock me in the basement.
- 37:59Hegemon. China is bidding for physical
- 38:02gold and silver on the Shanghai exchange versus today's close on
- 38:06the futures based COMEX. Wait till you see this guys.
- 38:08This was last night as of tonight's close, the growing
- 38:12arbitrage now stands at 15% for silver and 3% for gold, 15%.
- 38:20That means there's a 15% price difference between China and the
- 38:24United States of America. It's also, while that's a nice
- 38:27profit for just delivering to Shanghai, it's also a clear
- 38:31signal that going forward, China will continue to pivot to gold
- 38:36for trade settlement and has begun to set the rules.
- 38:41Interesting that at the same time, this is crazy.
- 38:44This we got. This is the crazy chart.
- 38:46Hold on one second everybody have a sip of coffee with me.
- 38:55At the same time, the gold will continue to rise as it re enters
- 38:59the monetary system doing what it has done for 4000 years. 99%
- 39:07of global wealth has forgotten that it must be produced.
- 39:12So let's take a look at this chart first.
- 39:15OK, this shows silver right at $31.00 in the US and silver at
- 39:23$35 and at the Shanghai Gold Exchange of 14.9% premium gold.
- 39:31All right, 2382 gold in Shanghai 24402463.
- 39:37But this guys says it all and this one came from Crescott Gold
- 39:44and gold miners as a percentage of total global assets.
- 39:48What Jamie is saying that is gold and silver are becoming the
- 39:51dominant world monetary base, right?
- 39:57Look at this 2020, four 1% OK of the world's total global assets
- 40:04is invested in gold and gold miners.
- 40:08Does that make any sense whatsoever?
- 40:101980, right, 26 percent, 48, I mean the runway for improvement.
- 40:16If my math is correct, if we were to go back to half, half of
- 40:23what the allocation was in 1981, that would be thirteen times as
- 40:28much money in the gold and silver sector.
- 40:31I don't know. What do you think?
- 40:32Do you think if 13 times as much money was trying to buy the
- 40:37physical gold, the physical silver in the world and the
- 40:41minuscule market cap of the gold and silver mining stocks, do you
- 40:46think that we might be in for some explosive price moves,
- 40:51right, No crystal ball. If we went back to half of what
- 40:55we were in 1932, right, we would have a, we would have a, a
- 41:00situation where we have multiples of the amount of money
- 41:03coming in to the precious metal sector.
- 41:06What about a Black Swan? Black Swan?
- 41:10I have a Black Swan around here. Here he is, right.
- 41:14That was sent then by one this guy.
- 41:17Are you on a Black Swan? Yeah.
- 41:22There could be a very, very clear, clear indication that we
- 41:28could be heading for major event, major Black Swan type
- 41:33event in the world, not just from a geopolitical perspective,
- 41:36but from a financial and an economic perspective.
- 41:40This is fascinating. OK, let me read this to you.
- 41:43We could be in for big, major changes.
- 41:46I'm gonna read it run by line. I wrote this myself, but it's
- 41:49it's worth wanna make sure I get this right.
- 41:52Don't fool yourself. This can and at some point will
- 41:57happen. Big event Black Swan, major
- 42:00trouble, right? It always has happened.
- 42:03It always will happen. OK, Historically speaking, over
- 42:08hundreds and hundreds of years, big systemic changes.
- 42:15This is the key. This is the big clue.
- 42:18This is the crumb. Like Andy Scheckman says,
- 42:20there's crumbs. You got to pick them up, put
- 42:22them together. Nobody tells you what's coming.
- 42:24Your bank doesn't warn you that they're going to shut their
- 42:27doors because they're insolvent, right?
- 42:30OK. the Fed never says we're headed for trouble.
- 42:33Janet Yellen never warns us, OK? But we know from looking at
- 42:38hundreds and hundreds of years of historic, big systemic
- 42:43changes happen when there's big dislocation between real assets.
- 42:50This is a real asset. An ounce of silver is a real
- 42:57asset. The the Real McCoy.
- 43:00OK. When there's big, the big
- 43:03changes happen when there's big dislocation, when there's a big
- 43:08gap between real assets and financial or paper assets, OK.
- 43:16And that's the situation that we're in right now.
- 43:19I have a chart. Yeah, you know it, baby.
- 43:21I got a chart that's gonna show it to you plain as day.
- 43:24OK? When the market realizes, right?
- 43:28When the market realizes that this is real, OK.
- 43:35And that this is fake paper Unicorn fart dust.
- 43:42And this is the best of the Unicorn fart dust, right?
- 43:45Because on top of that, on top of that, we've got this.
- 43:49Hold on here. It's been a while since we
- 43:51looked at this baby. I'm just going to bring you up.
- 43:54You can you can flip through all the charts with me.
- 43:57Here we go. Where'd it go?
- 43:58Come on, come on. There it is.
- 44:00There it is right, right. Gold when there's big
- 44:04dislocation between what you see on the bottom of extras pyramid
- 44:08gold and silver. The only real things on the
- 44:11whole pyramid, a big dislocation and value between them and all
- 44:16the make believe stuff on top. That's when major changes, Black
- 44:21Swan type events occur. OK, are we right now at that
- 44:26point, huh? Yes.
- 44:28And let me show you why I have another chart.
- 44:31Hold on here. Hold on.
- 44:36There it is. This, my friends, is a 100 year
- 44:45chart and I can't see the bottom of it.
- 44:47Darn it. Oh, hold on, hold on.
- 44:48Let me go back here. Let me fix something.
- 44:51Let me turn this off. Thank you to our sponsors.
- 44:54There we go. That looks a lot better now you
- 44:56can see that right? Yes.
- 44:58This is a 100 year chart and this shows this is the gold to
- 45:04Dow ratio or the Dow to gold. This this chart basically shows,
- 45:10because my brain's not functioning right now, how many
- 45:13ounces of gold it takes to buy one unit of the Dow Jones
- 45:17Industrial Average. So the Dow Jones Industrial
- 45:20Average right now is at about at 40,000.
- 45:22And as you can see on this chart, it would take you about
- 45:2516 ounces of gold, right? Would that make sense?
- 45:29I don't have my calculator in front of me, but I think it
- 45:31does. Yeah, 16 ounces of gold.
- 45:33To get one unit, you would need to get $40,000 to buy one unit
- 45:38of the Dow Jones Industrial Average.
- 45:41OK. When we look back, there had
- 45:43been times there that is a dislocation.
- 45:45Has it gotten higher? Absolutely.
- 45:48But when we look back historically where we are right
- 45:51now, OK, draw a little imaginary line, we've only been higher
- 45:55than this maybe 20 years, maybe 20% of the time over the years.
- 46:02So we are absolutely in this situation right now where
- 46:06there's a massive dislocation between the value of real assets
- 46:12and things like NVIDIA, things like the S&P 500, things like
- 46:17paper money, whatever you want to throw in there, it's
- 46:20happening and it's happening right now.
- 46:22So let's stay on top of those developments.
- 46:25Coin Shop Chris sent me some interesting information about
- 46:30the silver price. This was as of last night and
- 46:33about for stackers who are waiting.
- 46:35Are you waiting for $17.00 silver?
- 46:38Huh. Do you think silver is going to
- 46:40get the $2223.00 an ounce again? He just pointed out that in
- 46:45November of 2023, if you bought 1010 oz Canadian Mint bars, you
- 46:51spent about $2640. That's total with the price and
- 46:56premium etcetera. OK, right now this was as of
- 47:00last night, not as of today's unfortunate events which have
- 47:03unfolded in the silver market, but as of last night, instead of
- 47:07spending $2600, you're going to spend close to $3400 at the
- 47:13current silver price, probably 3233 hundred right now, if
- 47:19silver goes to $41.00 per oz, you'd be spending almost $4700
- 47:26to get those same exact 10 bars. So look, I'm not telling you
- 47:31what to do, but you know, if you are looking to add to your
- 47:36stack, you know, be prudent. Dollar cost average, now may be
- 47:40a good time. Premiums are still in the gutter
- 47:43when it comes to the metal prizes.
