- 0:00Speaker 1: Residential and commercial projects and that's superior dot MS And
- 0:07Speaker 1: now they have balked the town of Livingston, which is
- 0:11Speaker 1: super cool. When we mentioned Martin's and Livingston, Joseph's been
- 0:14Speaker 1: a great partner.
- 0:15Speaker 2: He used to be my co host.
- 0:16Speaker 1: How about that one hundred years ago in two thousand
- 0:19Speaker 1: and four, Joseph Stodgell was my co host and then
- 0:22Speaker 1: we reunite years later, which was really really cool. He
- 0:26Speaker 1: just expanded Martin's in Livingston. It looks great. It's gonna
- 0:30Speaker 1: be an awesome place for game Day. And Todd Sandridge
- 0:33Speaker 1: and Trey Pace and their team are about to put
- 0:37Speaker 1: some lighter fluid in a good way on the town
- 0:39Speaker 1: of Livingston.
- 0:40Speaker 3: Todd, good morning. How you going, buddy man. I'm glad
- 0:43Speaker 3: to be here. It's great. I love good, good Friday weather.
- 0:46Speaker 3: It's not too hot today. O.
- 0:47Speaker 1: No, I like that rain that came in yesterday. For
- 0:50Speaker 1: a minute. How's your family?
- 0:51Speaker 4: They're great.
- 0:52Speaker 3: We are running wide open falls busy in the Sandridge household.
- 0:57Speaker 1: I can only image you got you got people playing
- 0:59Speaker 1: ball man down in South Mississippi. You still you got
- 1:02Speaker 1: Caine at Jackson Press, and so you're going all over the.
- 1:05Speaker 3: World We're going everywhere and going to a wedding in
- 1:09Speaker 3: Memphis this weekend for my oldest daughter.
- 1:11Speaker 4: She's in it. So yeah, the fall will be crazy
- 1:13Speaker 4: for us.
- 1:14Speaker 3: My wife's coaching volleyball and Jackson prepaying football there, and
- 1:17Speaker 3: then our middle daughter c will be playing her first
- 1:21Speaker 3: season at Jones College.
- 1:22Speaker 2: This You're in volleyball, So how excited are you about that?
- 1:24Speaker 4: Man?
- 1:24Speaker 3: First of all, I love girls volleyball. Sure, you know,
- 1:27Speaker 3: I love baseball. I love football. You know, basketball is okay.
- 1:32Speaker 3: Let me tell you something. Volleyball is the most fun
- 1:35Speaker 3: sport out there. It's the most fast paced and I
- 1:37Speaker 3: love it.
- 1:38Speaker 2: So and the growth it's growing like crazy.
- 1:41Speaker 3: It is the number one sport, not just female, number
- 1:44Speaker 3: one sport in the United States and Mississippi in growth.
- 1:48Speaker 4: Wow.
- 1:49Speaker 3: And I think when you watch and you really get
- 1:51Speaker 3: to understand it and you figure it out, you understand
- 1:53Speaker 3: why it is growing like that. You know, it's so
- 1:56Speaker 3: much faster, say than girls softball or basketball, and but
- 2:00Speaker 3: it's fun.
- 2:01Speaker 4: So yeah.
- 2:01Speaker 3: So you know, Monday and Wednesday nights, I'll be following
- 2:04Speaker 3: Jones College, you know, somewhere in Mississippi, you know, driving
- 2:07Speaker 3: there Tuesday and Thursday I'll be chasing my wife's team
- 2:09Speaker 3: of Jackson Pread volleyball, and then Friday nights I'll be
- 2:11Speaker 3: watching game play football and hopefully get to Oxford and
- 2:13Speaker 3: see my oldest daughter.
- 2:14Speaker 1: At some point you get I think you get the
- 2:16Speaker 1: Sports Trophy for the fall of twenty twenty six.
- 2:19Speaker 3: It's gonna be busy and and you know within that,
- 2:23Speaker 3: you know, I got to figure out how to work
- 2:24Speaker 3: ten hours.
- 2:25Speaker 2: A day, that's right, figure it out out right.
- 2:27Speaker 1: So, speaking of Todd Sandridge Superior Foundation and Town of Livingston,
- 2:32Speaker 1: so y'all decided this a.
- 2:35Speaker 2: Beautiful piece of property.
- 2:36Speaker 1: Man's gorgeous, okay for sixty three and twenty two meet
- 2:39Speaker 1: and it's got everything that you need. So walk us
- 2:43Speaker 1: through kind of phase one in the next.
- 2:47Speaker 3: Three or four months. I'd like to think you know both.
- 2:50Speaker 3: I mean it is. I will say this, and I've
- 2:53Speaker 3: always said this. It is the most beautiful piece of
- 2:56Speaker 3: property in Madison County. And there's a lot of pretty
- 2:58Speaker 3: proper So it's not like everything else is desolate. It's
- 3:01Speaker 3: just it's beautiful where it sits. There's a tremendous amount
- 3:04Speaker 3: of history there. It actually was, you know, the first
- 3:07Speaker 3: county seat in the County of Madison and only to
- 3:11Speaker 3: be left stranded by the railroad. But you know, the
- 3:17Speaker 3: original developers had a good really, really conceptually. They did
- 3:20Speaker 3: a good job of kind of trying to bring that
- 3:23Speaker 3: back to life. Obviously, sometimes, as we know, in partnerships,
- 3:26Speaker 3: things don't always work out. But you know, we we
- 3:31Speaker 3: we definitely grabbed hold of their vision and and expanded
- 3:34Speaker 3: it a bit.
- 3:35Speaker 4: And I think it's fun. You know.
- 3:37Speaker 3: One of the one of the problems that we have
- 3:38Speaker 3: right now is a great problem, and that is we
- 3:41Speaker 3: don't have any more space.
- 3:43Speaker 4: I have people calling. I just actually was answering an.
- 3:45Speaker 3: Email off air a minute ago about somebody who's wanting
- 3:48Speaker 3: to move a store here.
- 3:50Speaker 4: I don't have the space.
- 3:51Speaker 2: We do.
- 3:51Speaker 3: However, have you know almost thirty thousand feet of commercial
- 3:54Speaker 3: space coming?
- 3:55Speaker 1: Okay, so so thirty thousand feet, yes, commercial space feet
- 3:59Speaker 1: are coming in the next twenty four months, yes, and.
- 4:01Speaker 3: With and likely in the next eighteen months. We're waiting
- 4:04Speaker 3: on a few engineers here and there. And it's also
- 4:07Speaker 3: exciting because the idea of those type developments is also
- 4:10Speaker 3: combining the commercial and the residential companie and and the
- 4:13Speaker 3: lifestyle component of it. Frankly when those two meet, and
- 4:15Speaker 3: that's what's nice. We're about to start twenty six residential homes.
- 4:20Speaker 3: It's been approved by the County of Minas and we've
- 4:22Speaker 3: been waiting on m DOT for our entrants all four
- 4:25Speaker 3: sixty three and that changes engineering. A lot of people go, man,
- 4:28Speaker 3: what's all the weight? But you know, you know where
- 4:32Speaker 3: they determine where that entrance is how you know, we
- 4:34Speaker 3: determine what our elevation and scale is. So you can't
- 4:36Speaker 3: finish engineering. So we've got about two or three weeks
- 4:38Speaker 3: left on that. I'm holding my engineer, you know, calling
- 4:41Speaker 3: him daily.
- 4:41Speaker 2: He's sharing mind at me.
- 4:43Speaker 3: But as soon as we finish that, we'll be able
- 4:44Speaker 3: to start cutting roads in I think in the next
- 4:46Speaker 3: thirty days and and we'll be we'll be going vertical
- 4:50Speaker 3: on on residential this year in twenty twenty two.
- 4:52Speaker 2: Hearing football season. Absolutely all right, show you're looking.
- 4:55Speaker 1: We're visiting with Todd Sandridge, Town of Livingston and Superior
- 4:59Speaker 1: found on ESPN one five nine in the zone. So
- 5:03Speaker 1: you got thirty thousand square feet of commercial space coming
- 5:06Speaker 1: and the first phase I think what you told me
- 5:09Speaker 1: Todd is twenty six zero lotline homes, a town of
- 5:12Speaker 1: Livingston yep, okay, yep.
- 5:14Speaker 2: And you know which is exciting.
- 5:15Speaker 4: It is And if you you know.
- 5:16Speaker 3: You think about some good developments here and T and
- 5:19Speaker 3: D communities are popping up everywhere. Not a ton in
- 5:21Speaker 3: the South or even the Deep South, but you've got
- 5:23Speaker 3: stuff like the township on Holland Colony, the village at
- 5:27Speaker 3: Minus in over there. Sure, and and there are a few,
- 5:31Speaker 3: I mean, there's a couple in Brandon that are similar.
- 5:33Speaker 3: But at the end of the day, it's it's really
- 5:36Speaker 3: the lifestyle component of the live work lifestyle, and you know,
- 5:41Speaker 3: it's a neat deal. We've had some cool we we
- 5:43Speaker 3: developed a low area behind a dam and kind of
- 5:46Speaker 3: a mini amphitheater. We had four shows out there and
- 5:50Speaker 3: Jackson pointed out out, I mean, they were full and
- 5:51Speaker 3: they were fun.
- 5:52Speaker 4: We had a good time.
- 5:54Speaker 3: People could rather golf cart or the side by side
- 5:56Speaker 3: over or they came.
- 5:57Speaker 4: We had plenty of parking for.
- 5:58Speaker 3: Everybody else and that's only going to expand we're gonna
- 6:02Speaker 3: do some cool things too this year on the Square,
- 6:04Speaker 3: and we're talking about possibly doing you know, if if
- 6:08Speaker 3: the big three are out of town, we might throw
- 6:11Speaker 3: something on a big screen in the square at Levingston
- 6:13Speaker 3: and be able to celebrate with all the all the
- 6:16Speaker 3: folks out there that that make Livingston great too. You
- 6:18Speaker 3: mentioned Martin's and there's a lot of other good you
- 6:21Speaker 3: know stores out there, and there'll be more. You know,
- 6:23Speaker 3: there's a new coffee shop which is great. You've got
- 6:25Speaker 3: the Brass, You've got Mexican restaurants, you've got a lot
- 6:28Speaker 3: of good retail and stuff like that.
- 6:29Speaker 4: So we'll be able to celebrate with everybody, right.
- 6:33Speaker 1: And last night I was there, it was packed, all right,
- 6:36Speaker 1: so think about that.
- 6:37Speaker 3: It's a Thursday night in the summer. Yeah, it was packed. Yeah,
- 6:41Speaker 3: school started and fight.
- 6:42Speaker 1: There was a band. I mean, it was just a
- 6:43Speaker 1: great night to be at Martin's and Livingston. So what
- 6:45Speaker 1: you're saying is there the demand is there? Yes, for
- 6:49Speaker 1: people to celebrate and either live or go and and
- 6:53Speaker 1: enjoy the restaurants or coffee shops and and like you said,
- 6:57Speaker 1: the four shows that y'all did in that cool little
- 6:59Speaker 1: amphitheater that y'all created.
- 7:00Speaker 3: Well, we're we're we're working on train are working on
- 7:03Speaker 3: some plans right now to do to do a a
- 7:07Speaker 3: larger event venue in the town. We also have the
- 7:10Speaker 3: Inn at Livingston coming, so we'll have and it'll be
- 7:14Speaker 3: a really high end end that you can go. You know,
- 7:18Speaker 3: and I think we need that. I think we need
- 7:21Speaker 3: something other than just you know the hotel. Right, You've
- 7:24Speaker 3: got a lot of executives that come in and out,
- 7:26Speaker 3: particularly with some of these Amazon plants and Nissan plants,
- 7:28Speaker 3: things like that. You know, lawyers, you know all those people,
- 7:32Speaker 3: and and and it has an opportunity to come in
- 7:34Speaker 3: and have that little home feel, but in a really
- 7:38Speaker 3: highly decorated, nice room.
- 7:39Speaker 2: So so this will be like a boutique.
- 7:41Speaker 3: It will it'll be a boutique hotel, and it's there's
- 7:44Speaker 3: not gonna be an attendant and all that. You go eat,
- 7:46Speaker 3: you go down. You know, you can grab dinner at Martin's,
- 7:49Speaker 3: you can go grab a couple of coffee at the
- 7:50Speaker 3: coffee shop in the morning, and and and and and breakfast.
- 7:53Speaker 3: So the idea is, and a lot of us have
- 7:56Speaker 3: been to the coastal areas where you know, you go in,
- 7:59Speaker 3: you check in with a code, there's no attendant, there's
- 8:00Speaker 3: no nothing.
- 8:01Speaker 4: So and and really have that boutique in feel.
- 8:04Speaker 2: That'd be great.
- 8:05Speaker 3: I We're excited about that and that that that'll be
- 8:07Speaker 3: within the next eighteen months.
- 8:08Speaker 2: Okay.
- 8:09Speaker 1: Todd Sandridge, Town of Livingston and Superior Foundation on the
- 8:13Speaker 1: Out of Crosstown Builders is also in this. Yeah, you
- 8:17Speaker 1: and Tray have on that for twenty years and then
- 8:20Speaker 1: you rolled out Superior Foundation fifteen years ago.
- 8:23Speaker 3: Yeah close, and U man, I tell you that's that.
- 8:25Speaker 3: I find myself doing that more and more now. You know,
- 8:28Speaker 3: I'm thankful for all the great customers that we have,
- 8:32Speaker 3: the corners we have in real estate and engineers and
- 8:35Speaker 3: things like that that really trust us. And I've got
- 8:38Speaker 3: we've got great staff. We've got good people that are trustworthy,
- 8:42Speaker 3: that hold the same integrity line and standard that we do.
- 8:46Speaker 3: I think people notice that, and it is It's just
- 8:49Speaker 3: been a tenfold blessing in that business.
- 8:52Speaker 1: Todd Sandridge on the Out of Bounds Show. One thing
- 8:54Speaker 1: that you said is you and Trey and so many
- 8:57Speaker 1: others want the town of Livingston to be destination.
- 9:00Speaker 2: Yes.
- 9:01Speaker 3: Yes, now that's what you just described is you know,
- 9:04Speaker 3: and it's food. I want a food destination. We're talking
- 9:06Speaker 3: to some other restaurants as we speak. I want it
- 9:09Speaker 3: to be a boutique, you know, a destination for clothing,
- 9:12Speaker 3: both men's women's children. We're talking to several retailers like that.
- 9:17Speaker 3: I want to, you know, I want a woman's spa.
- 9:20Speaker 3: We we already have a great place for us men
- 9:22Speaker 3: to go and and enjoy a beer trim or a haircut,
- 9:25Speaker 3: a noble barber and Lantis Noble. I mean, first of all,
- 9:27Speaker 3: if you don't know Lanta's Noble, you're missing out right.
- 9:31Speaker 3: Dude's just awesome. Yeah, great guy, and I like him
- 9:33Speaker 3: a lot. He's just a good person. He has a
- 9:36Speaker 3: lot of antique car shows out there. He's big on
- 9:38Speaker 3: antique cars. And when he has the next one, jump
- 9:41Speaker 3: out there on a Saturday morning and have some coffee
- 9:43Speaker 3: and donuts with him because it's a lot of fun.
- 9:46Speaker 4: I love it.
- 9:46Speaker 1: Todd Sandridge on the Out of Bound show ESPN one
- 9:50Speaker 1: to five.
- 9:51Speaker 2: Down the Zone. So let's recap again.
- 9:53Speaker 1: You're gonna have thirty thousand square feet of commercial space
- 9:57Speaker 1: in the in the next eighteen months are set, and
- 9:59Speaker 1: then you're gonna have twenty six zero lot lines homes
- 10:03Speaker 1: in the next.
- 10:04Speaker 3: And we'll have a total bow of seventy four when
- 10:06Speaker 3: we get finished. Okay, we're gonna start with twenty six
- 10:09Speaker 3: I don't think that's gonna be enough with the amount
- 10:11Speaker 3: of people that have called me, So.
- 10:13Speaker 4: We'll jump right into phase two and three pretty quick.
- 10:16Speaker 4: I'm sure that's.
- 10:18Speaker 2: You love all that design style, and I love it.
- 10:21Speaker 1: Do you know what y'all are gonna do as far
- 10:24Speaker 1: as how do I say this the look or the
- 10:26Speaker 1: architecture of the homes.
- 10:27Speaker 3: Yeah, I think you're going to see a lot bow
- 10:29Speaker 3: of craftsman style. I mean, the idea of the town
- 10:32Speaker 3: of Livingston is you know, and there's some oversight there
- 10:36Speaker 3: with an MLHPD Madison Livingston Historical Preservation District, which I like,
- 10:42Speaker 3: you know, listen, the thing is is we're trying to,
- 10:44Speaker 3: you know, restore that kind of historical look.
- 10:47Speaker 4: So we'll have a lot of craftsman style, a lot of.
- 10:49Speaker 3: You know, front yard fences, you know, good old neighbor
- 10:54Speaker 3: come down sidewalks. It's just, you know, it's gonna feel
- 10:58Speaker 3: like a good home, old hometown and I love that.
- 11:01Speaker 3: You know, you're gonna park in the rear alley, so again,
- 11:04Speaker 3: you know, similar to some of the that's cool that
- 11:06Speaker 3: that you know, Lost Rabbit and the village that might
- 11:08Speaker 3: haves in the township. Places like that, so so with that,
- 11:12Speaker 3: a lot of people wonder why you do that? With that,
- 11:15Speaker 3: What you do is you're so inclusive on that front door,
- 11:17Speaker 3: that front porch.
- 11:18Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 11:18Speaker 3: Yeah, so so it's a lot of front porchs hanging out.
- 11:21Speaker 3: If you drive through the township in the afternoon, that's,
- 11:23Speaker 3: you know, encourage you to do that. At five thirty
- 11:25Speaker 3: or six, you're gonna see a lot of neighbors and they're
- 11:26Speaker 3: just all sitting down there front absolutely and people walking around.
- 11:29Speaker 4: They're walking dogs, walking their.
- 11:30Speaker 2: Kids and having a glass of wine.
- 11:31Speaker 3: That's right, man, they're having a cocktail on the porch
- 11:33Speaker 3: or or they're taking a run around the block.
- 11:35Speaker 2: You know. Okay, do you and Trey know yet?
- 11:39Speaker 1: The average square footage roughly of the of the home.
- 11:43Speaker 3: So it's you know interesting in a development like that
- 11:45Speaker 3: boat you know, you can usually pinpoint that in most developments,
- 11:48Speaker 3: and something like this, you're gonna get so much. You've
- 11:50Speaker 3: got a lot of people that are maybe living in
- 11:52Speaker 3: a big house somewhere they want to downside sure, and
- 11:55Speaker 3: then you've got a lot of young professionals that maybe
- 11:58Speaker 3: want something super nice, not super big. So my guess
- 12:02Speaker 3: is you're probably gonna average around you know, twenty eight
- 12:05Speaker 3: hundred to thirty two hundred. I think you're gonna see
- 12:08Speaker 3: some forty five forty eight hundreds, and I think you're
- 12:10Speaker 3: gonna see some twenty six hundreds. But at the end
- 12:13Speaker 3: of the day, I you know, the idea is everybody's
- 12:16Speaker 3: house will look nice because I am the Architectural View Committee,
- 12:18Speaker 3: and they're gonna be They're gonna be great both inside,
- 12:21Speaker 3: you know, you know, or the outside, and we're gonna
- 12:23Speaker 3: encourage everybody obviously to really really dance them up. But
- 12:26Speaker 3: the cool thing is too and I want to point
- 12:28Speaker 3: this out because I did this in one of my
- 12:29Speaker 3: developments in Startville, and that is, you know, we're gonna
- 12:32Speaker 3: include you know, yard maintenance and things like that within
- 12:34Speaker 3: your homeowners dues. So everybody's yard gets cut at the
- 12:39Speaker 3: same time, they get edged and blown off and all that.
- 12:41Speaker 4: At the same time.
- 12:43Speaker 3: We're also actually at thinking about and contemplating adding a
- 12:47Speaker 3: few other maintenance things like a house cleaning once a
- 12:49Speaker 3: year and stuff like that. But but the idea is
- 12:52Speaker 3: to make sure that everybody lives in a community where
- 12:54Speaker 3: it's neighborly, nobody's mad at each other.
- 12:56Speaker 4: And I'll tell you the idea.
- 12:58Speaker 3: Came to us for that name in Starblo and Portico
- 13:01Speaker 3: and Bo you're right by well run. I still get
- 13:04Speaker 3: calls from people who have maybe bought a second or
- 13:07Speaker 3: third home in there and going, man, I'm so glad
- 13:08Speaker 3: you did that, Like, what a great concept to put
- 13:11Speaker 3: that in. And and so I've already told people about
- 13:15Speaker 3: this and they're all fired up about it.
- 13:16Speaker 4: So those are some of the cool things that I
- 13:18Speaker 4: think you'll find.
- 13:19Speaker 1: It'll be more neighborly, thirty thousand square feet coming to
- 13:22Speaker 1: a commercial space, coming to the town of Livingston. You
- 13:26Speaker 1: got a boutique hotel, You'll have more retail and restaurants. Yeah,
- 13:31Speaker 1: and uh, Tied and Tray are going to start off
- 13:34Speaker 1: with twenty six homes zero light line, which Tide just
- 13:37Speaker 1: walks you through, and then probably end up with seventy
- 13:40Speaker 1: four Yeah by the end of the whole deal.
- 13:42Speaker 4: And we'll put it.
- 13:43Speaker 3: You know, I'm putting together a builders guild now of
- 13:47Speaker 3: some really you know, really good builders who are high
- 13:50Speaker 3: end have integrity that people can choose from on that
- 13:53Speaker 3: builder's guild and they can walk through and say, okay,
- 13:55Speaker 3: I want that person to that fir. Certainly we'll do
- 13:57Speaker 3: a few in there as well, but really encourage that
- 14:01Speaker 3: as well. So there's there's different styles, different you know,
- 14:04Speaker 3: creative styles in there, and I think it's gonna be
- 14:06Speaker 3: nice for everybody.
- 14:07Speaker 1: Were you all surprised at how many people showed up
- 14:10Speaker 1: for the four shows and the Amphitheater out of town?
- 14:13Speaker 3: And let me, I gotta tell you yes, I mean
- 14:15Speaker 3: you know, and and you know we were doing this
- 14:19Speaker 3: and and just trying it out, and you you've got
- 14:21Speaker 3: to figure it out.
- 14:21Speaker 4: You've got to figure out what we have.
- 14:24Speaker 3: And uh and uh, we partnered with with your friend
- 14:27Speaker 3: Joseph Stadge or my friend. He and I've got to
- 14:30Speaker 3: be good friends. I really like the GAB but we've
- 14:31Speaker 3: partnered with them. He's done a lot of live music
- 14:34Speaker 3: and things like that. And but but you know, not
- 14:36Speaker 3: that one of us, you know, looked at each other
- 14:38Speaker 3: and knew how to how to figure out what we
- 14:40Speaker 3: had right in you're in the spring summer area. Our
- 14:44Speaker 3: last shows were in May. But I got to tell you, man,
- 14:47Speaker 3: we were so pumped so and it had like over
- 14:50Speaker 3: seven hundred people for some and we averaged about seven
- 14:53Speaker 3: hundred per show and the and and four shows and
- 14:56Speaker 3: the cool thing was is when the people walked out
- 14:58Speaker 3: and there was a couple of shows that you and
- 15:00Speaker 3: I will be standing out talking kind of as people
- 15:02Speaker 3: were leaving, and they were just they were hugging us
- 15:05Speaker 3: and going high five on us, and man, we're so
- 15:07Speaker 3: glad this is here. And so we're super excited about
- 15:10Speaker 3: doing some more of that in twenty twenty seven.
- 15:12Speaker 1: And that's the perfect time to do that is September
- 15:16Speaker 1: October through back.
- 15:17Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 15:18Speaker 3: Well, you know, you compete with football, and Joseph and I,
- 15:21Speaker 3: you know, we talked through that a little bit. We
- 15:22Speaker 3: are going to probably try to throw some football in there,
- 15:25Speaker 3: but look, we're in the deep South, man, Friday nights
- 15:27Speaker 3: or high school football on Saturdays for college football. But
- 15:30Speaker 3: what we are going to do is probably expand that
- 15:32Speaker 3: in the spring a little bit. Okay, summertime in Jackson,
- 15:34Speaker 3: Mississippi's pretty dog oh lot, and when the sun goes
- 15:37Speaker 3: down at eight forty five, you know, and you've got
- 15:39Speaker 3: to be done around ten, right because we got residential
- 15:42Speaker 3: around there.
- 15:42Speaker 4: So sure, you know, the summertime it gets good tough.
- 15:45Speaker 3: Yeah, so we're contemplating maybe doing one or two in
- 15:47Speaker 3: the fall, but okay, yeah, well when you do four
- 15:51Speaker 3: shows and you have over seven hundred people on average
- 15:55Speaker 3: plus show up, then the demand's there, you know, and
- 15:59Speaker 3: it's fun to see the people drive over from you know,
- 16:01Speaker 3: on their golf cart or other side by side from
- 16:03Speaker 3: Chestnut Hill right right, and that's a good night for them.
- 16:06Speaker 3: And as we get people in the residential area of
- 16:09Speaker 3: the town of Livingston and they can walk over or
- 16:11Speaker 3: they can rund a golf court over, and that's the
- 16:13Speaker 3: type of fun and lifestyle that we're trying to create
- 16:15Speaker 3: there and destination.
- 16:16Speaker 1: As you said, Todd Sandridge talking about the town of Livingstone,
- 16:21Speaker 1: things are happening. And we've got thirty thousand square feet
- 16:24Speaker 1: of commercial space coming and twenty six zero lot line
- 16:28Speaker 1: homes with seventy four on the way, boutique hotel, a
- 16:32Speaker 1: bunch of other retail and restaurants.
- 16:34Speaker 2: And so on.
- 16:35Speaker 1: Let's go to Superior Foundation before before you go to
- 16:39Speaker 1: Hattisburg to watch your daughter play volleyball, which is awesome.
- 16:43Speaker 1: So we've talked to you about this, you and trace
- 16:47Speaker 1: all the demand. Yeah, your local your work comes with
- 16:50Speaker 1: a warranty, and so Superior Dot in mass A. What
- 16:54Speaker 1: do homeowners miss until it's too late or until they're
- 16:59Speaker 1: in pets.
- 17:00Speaker 3: Yeah, that's a good point, and I'm glad you said that,
- 17:03Speaker 3: because the reason we started Superior Foundation Services is because
- 17:07Speaker 3: of other people not warranting.
- 17:09Speaker 2: Right.
- 17:10Speaker 3: And and I got to be honest with you, as
- 17:11Speaker 3: a man who you know, has trouble sleeping at night,
- 17:14Speaker 3: if I forgot to pay you know, bo bounds five
- 17:16Speaker 3: dollars back that he lonely. You know, I that bugged me, man,
- 17:19Speaker 3: It really really bothered me that people didn't stand behind
- 17:22Speaker 3: their work. They didn't you know, return a phone call
- 17:25Speaker 3: things like that. And you know, when there's a call
- 17:28Speaker 3: that comes in and somebody wants us to rerun some
- 17:31Speaker 3: measurements or anything like that, that's first priority. Sure, I
- 17:33Speaker 3: don't care what we have that day. That's number one priority,
- 17:36Speaker 3: because that's why we started the business. The thing that
- 17:39Speaker 3: people miss bo is is the is the little stuff.
- 17:43Speaker 3: You know, you get busy and and you're you're doing
- 17:45Speaker 3: this show in the morning. Then you know, you go
- 17:47Speaker 3: off and see Wilkes and Ella Hall and Starville, and
- 17:50Speaker 3: then you come back home at night, and then you
- 17:51Speaker 3: got to get up at four in the morning, and
- 17:53Speaker 3: you don't walk around the side of your house, you know,
- 17:56Speaker 3: and you wait for the termite guy to tell you
- 17:58Speaker 3: or your yard guy to tell you, hey, there's cracks
- 18:00Speaker 3: over there.
- 18:01Speaker 4: The biggest thing is is people can.
- 18:03Speaker 3: Catch is it the whole house doesn't start leaning the
- 18:07Speaker 3: whole house, or business doesn't start. I mean, I got
- 18:09Speaker 3: to fix a big building on Lakeland in two weeks
- 18:13Speaker 3: and it didn't just start. The guy that owns the
- 18:15Speaker 3: building knows, you know, the landlord who's actually the United
- 18:19Speaker 3: States government, which is funny. They it just did it
- 18:22Speaker 3: over time, right, So we got to go in there
- 18:24Speaker 3: and repair the whole building. What should have happened and
- 18:26Speaker 3: what needs to happen is is if you see something little,
- 18:29Speaker 3: the little fix.
- 18:30Speaker 4: Is a lot cheaper than the big fix, right.
- 18:32Speaker 3: And so if I can tell anybody anything, if you've
- 18:36Speaker 3: got some and cracks don't always mean you have foundation
- 18:39Speaker 3: problems either, guys, you know, I mean there's a lot,
- 18:41Speaker 3: you know, I would say probably fifty percent of the
- 18:43Speaker 3: cause we go on, we just go, hey, you're in
- 18:45Speaker 3: good shape, you know. You know, there's a little bit
- 18:47Speaker 3: of a header crack there, wind distribution maybe something like that,
- 18:50Speaker 3: but you.
- 18:51Speaker 2: Know it's not nine one one, it's not.
- 18:53Speaker 3: And but but i'd rather you call absolutely because if hey,
- 18:56Speaker 3: there's a little corner down here, we can prop that
- 18:58Speaker 3: up and it'll keep the whole thing because it chase
- 19:00Speaker 3: itself all the way through and that whole slab or
- 19:03Speaker 3: conventional we find ourselves doing a ton of conventional foundation work,
- 19:07Speaker 3: whether it's encapsulations, putting moisture barriers down. You know, we
- 19:11Speaker 3: might be putting dehumidifiers in, fixing rotten joys, rotten seal plates,
- 19:15Speaker 3: things like that. Those things didn't happen overnight, right, so
- 19:19Speaker 3: most of us and look, I'm one of those. I
- 19:21Speaker 3: just told you my schedule for the fault. Sure it's
- 19:23Speaker 3: going to be busy, right, You miss some things. I
- 19:25Speaker 3: miss things in my own house. I mean changing air
- 19:27Speaker 3: filter stuff like that. And then the next thing, you know, well,
- 19:32Speaker 3: the next thing, you know, you don't want to be
- 19:33Speaker 3: replacing a whole new unit, right, It's a whole lot
- 19:36Speaker 3: cheaper to go grab a tude dollar filter and put
- 19:39Speaker 3: it in.
- 19:40Speaker 4: So Drew Brees will be able to do that when
- 19:42Speaker 4: he goes lows now.
- 19:43Speaker 3: Right. So at the end of the day, you know,
- 19:45Speaker 3: you we miss stuff because we're busy. It's a free evaluation.
- 19:50Speaker 3: If you live in the three track county area we'll
- 19:52Speaker 3: give you. And if you're outside of that area, it's
- 19:53Speaker 3: not very much. Just you know, which are just a
- 19:56Speaker 3: little bit to go look at it. But at the
- 19:57Speaker 3: end of the day, it's it's a free evaluation.
- 20:00Speaker 1: How much we got a couple of minutes here, Todd Sandridge,
- 20:03Speaker 1: Town of Livingston and Superior Foundations, Superior Dot in mess
- 20:08Speaker 1: How much of your work is driveways and parking lots.
- 20:12Speaker 3: A good bit bo I mean, you know, we don't
- 20:14Speaker 3: always take out the whole driveway, although we have had
- 20:16Speaker 3: a few of those here lately. A lot of times
- 20:18Speaker 3: it's just sections, right, you'll see where you have expansion
- 20:20Speaker 3: joint to expansion joint. You know, not to dog anybody out,
- 20:24Speaker 3: but a lot of these these flat work poors like driveways,
- 20:28Speaker 3: pool decks, patios, things like that. Man, they don't put
- 20:30Speaker 3: enough rebar or reinforcement in there. We find that a
- 20:33Speaker 3: lot things start crumbling and cracking. And sometimes it's a
- 20:37Speaker 3: budget thing. Hey we'll take out this half that you
- 20:39Speaker 3: know now and maybe sure next half next year when
- 20:41Speaker 3: you get a bonus or whatever.
- 20:42Speaker 4: But we do a good bit of that.
- 20:44Speaker 3: We've got, uh, we've got a couple of commercial businesses
- 20:47Speaker 3: on retainer that that you know, we'll go in and
- 20:50Speaker 3: you know they own a lot here and we'll replace
- 20:52Speaker 3: pieces of their parking lots.
- 20:54Speaker 4: Things like that. You get heavy trucks and equipment driving in.
- 20:56Speaker 3: Absolutely, we just quoted a huge job down in Risland,
- 20:59Speaker 3: had a big truck plan and now I think that
- 21:01Speaker 3: turned into three more estimates. But you know, just doing
- 21:04Speaker 3: rock and you know compacting, you know, gravel, things like that.
- 21:07Speaker 4: But most of it always revolves around drainage.
- 21:10Speaker 3: So any parking lot, any driveway, any home business, whatever
- 21:13Speaker 3: we fix, there's they've got a drainage problem. And I
- 21:16Speaker 3: would say eighty percent of the time we combine that
- 21:19Speaker 3: with drainage because drainage caused the problem.
- 21:21Speaker 2: Right, right, And you also do French strains, yes.
- 21:23Speaker 4: And we do a lot of them.
- 21:25Speaker 3: And frankly, most of the time when we go see somebody,
- 21:28Speaker 3: they may not need anything with their foundation.
- 21:30Speaker 4: It's it may be touch and go.
- 21:32Speaker 3: It's a little bit on the edge, but we need
- 21:34Speaker 3: drainage so it doesn't get worse.
- 21:36Speaker 2: That's right, Yeah, that's right.
- 21:37Speaker 1: Todd Sandridge Tray Pace, Town of Livingston, Superior Foundation, Crosstown Builders,
- 21:43Speaker 1: Superior dot MS French strains obviously, foundation repairs, driveways and
- 21:48Speaker 1: parking lots.
- 21:48Speaker 2: We'll talk probably in ninety days.
- 21:51Speaker 1: Yeah, you know, as you guys, once the roads get
- 21:54Speaker 1: in and you guys start really moving dirt in the
- 21:57Speaker 1: next month or two.
- 21:58Speaker 4: It's gonna be fun. And we're have a special event
- 22:01Speaker 4: coming up.
- 22:01Speaker 3: I'm gonna tease out a little bit, not sure of
- 22:03Speaker 3: the day, but kind of a regrand opening at the
- 22:05Speaker 3: Town of Livingston.
- 22:06Speaker 2: And we'll be there and you guys will be there.
- 22:08Speaker 2: Have a good weekend moment.
- 22:09Speaker 1: Thank you, Todd Sandridge, Superior, dot MS, Superior Foundation, Town
- 22:13Speaker 1: of Livingston, and of course Crosstown Builders. On ESPN one

- 22:25Speaker 2: Here we go. Drew Brees goes into the Hall of
- 22:27Speaker 2: Fame too this weekend
