- 0:20Welcome back to the MMS. This is Rod.
- 0:23I'm going to do things a little bit different today because it
- 0:26is just me and I have something I want to read to you guys.
- 0:31This is a document that was carefully prepared over the
- 0:35course of a couple months by a friend of mine, BHB.
- 0:39Let me give you guys a little bit of background.
- 0:41So this is, I don't know, maybe 1520 pages.
- 0:44I don't even know if I'm going to be able to read all of it. 23
- 0:47pages. Wow, many, many words.
- 0:50And I'm not the best at reading, so great, great start, right?
- 0:56But this is a document, like I said, that was prepared by BHB
- 0:59over the course of a couple months.
- 1:00We've had some high dialogue behind the scenes, you know, who
- 1:04is Satan, who is the devil, who's the serpent or the dragon,
- 1:09this deceiver, the accuser, the brethren.
- 1:11And what's interesting is like years ago, you know, you have
- 1:15the, the, the general consensus Christianity in the West.
- 1:18Most people can't give you an elaborate answer on that.
- 1:21We're not just the average Christian here on the MMS.
- 1:24We are the tip of the spear in a lot of ways.
- 1:28And so this conversation has been going on for quite some
- 1:30time behind the scenes, but BHB prepared 23 pages and I'm going
- 1:36to read some of this. It all started with a question,
- 1:42one that kept coming back to me no matter how many times I tried
- 1:46to just accept the surface answers.
- 1:49As I've grown in my faith, the Lord has surrounded me with new
- 1:52people, brothers and sisters, with different walks, different
- 1:56understandings, and a hunger to know the truth.
- 2:00Through conversations, studies, and prayer, certain things
- 2:03started to reach my ears that I hadn't given much thought to
- 2:06before. One of the biggest this
- 2:09question, and it's about Satan, the devil, the serpent, the
- 2:14dragon, the deceiver. Who is it?
- 2:18Or better yet, is it even an IT? Are we talking about a specific
- 2:25being here, or are there just names and titles that different
- 2:29spirits have carried over time? Is Satan one entity or are there
- 2:33multiple Satan's? Is the devil a single entity or
- 2:39is it the title passed from one being to another?
- 2:43I kept wondering and I couldn't ignore the question anymore.
- 2:47Who is Satan? These questions started circling
- 2:54in my spirit, and the more I heard different people explain
- 2:57it in different ways, the more I realized there wasn't just one
- 3:01answer going around. Some said Satan is a symbolic
- 3:05figure, others said it's multiple entities who play the
- 3:09role, and even some said that the original serpent from the
- 3:13Garden isn't the same as the dragon in the Book of
- 3:16Revelation. So I stepped back, I quieted the
- 3:21noise and I said, let me go to the scriptures.
- 3:25I'm not just talking about the 66 books that most people are
- 3:28familiar with. I mean all the scriptures that
- 3:31the Lord has revealed to be true.
- 3:32The Book of Enoch, the book of Drew Bullies, the Book of
- 3:35Jasher. And I'm saying this clearly here
- 3:38at the beginning. I believe these are scriptures,
- 3:42they are God inspired. The same Spirit that breathed
- 3:45through Genesis and Revelation, breathes through Enoch, through
- 3:48Drew Blees, and through Jasher. After prayer, after study, after
- 3:52discernment, I came to that conclusion with full peace.
- 3:58So when I say I'm going to the Word, I mean it all.
- 4:01Not just what tradition says I can read, but everything.
- 4:05The Spirit has confirmed this study.
- 4:08You are about to read. This journey is the result of
- 4:11that process. I didn't come to this with a
- 4:15conclusion already in mind. I came to it with an open heart,
- 4:19a real hunger, and a willingness to file.
- 4:21Follow the trail wherever it went.
- 4:24I laid out the scriptures, I took the titles, I looked at the
- 4:28names, and I asked who is behind all of it.
- 4:34And the deeper I went, the more things started to line up.
- 4:37Patterns emerged, names appeared, and what I found
- 4:40changed everything. I want to walk you through what
- 4:44I saw. I'm not here to tell you what to
- 4:47believe. I'm just here to show you what
- 4:50was revealed in the Word. And if you're willing to go deep
- 4:52to examine every appearance of this mysterious being across the
- 4:56Scriptures, and to keep your heart open in the process, then
- 5:01what comes next will challenge you just like it challenged me.
- 5:07Before we can even say who Satan is, we need to 1st understand
- 5:11what Satan even means. Is it a name or is it a role?
- 5:18Or are there many of these or just one?
- 5:20Is the Devil just a title? And who, if anyone, truly
- 5:26carries it? Let's find out if you're ever
- 5:30going to understand who Satan is.
- 5:32We first need to understand what the Word even means.
- 5:35Not what we've heard growing up, not what the culture or
- 5:39tradition says, but what the Scripture actually revealed.
- 5:42When I started digging into this question, I didn't want to
- 5:44assume anything. I just wanted to start with the
- 5:47words themselves. So I opened the Word and started
- 5:50searching. What does the Bible actually
- 5:53call this enemy? What are the titles given to the
- 5:57One who accuses, Deceives, Temps and Devours?
- 6:01Here's what I found. There isn't just one word used,
- 6:04there are several. Over and over again we see
- 6:07titles like Satan, Devil, Lucifer, Serpent, Tempter,
- 6:10Dragon, and Accuser. What are these words?
- 6:14Or are they names? Or are they just descriptions of
- 6:18a role being played? So let's go 1 by 1.
- 6:22In Hebrew, the word Satan meaning adversary, accuser, one
- 6:26who opposes. It's not a name, it's a role.
- 6:31It's used in multiple places, sometimes even for human
- 6:35enemies. It literally means the one who
- 6:37stands against devil. This comes from the Greek word
- 6:42diablos, meaning slanderer, false accuser, one who throws
- 6:47against. It's a description of a
- 6:51character, someone who spreads lies, twists truth, and causes
- 6:55division. Again, not a personal name, it's
- 6:59a function. This one surprised me.
- 7:03The word Lucifer isn't Hebrew or Greek, it's Latin, and it comes
- 7:07from the Latin Vulgate translation of Isaiah 1412.
- 7:12Lucifer meaning light bearer or morning star.
- 7:16But the original Hebrew word here is halal Ben shakar,
- 7:21meaning shining one son of the morning.
- 7:24It was a poetic phrase used in a prophecy against the king of
- 7:28Babylon, someone who sought to exalt himself like God.
- 7:33So was Lucifer a name? Not originally.
- 7:36It's a symbolic title of pride, fall and false glory.
- 7:42Serpent. In Hebrew this is nahash.
- 7:45It doesn't just mean snake, it also implies enchantment,
- 7:50divination, whispering. The word carries the idea of
- 7:54something subtle, sneaky, and spiritually deceptive.
- 7:59Used first in Genesis 3 for the one who deceived Eve Tempter.
- 8:05In the New Testament, the enemy is called Ho Perazion in Greek,
- 8:10meaning the one who tempts or tests.
- 8:13This is a description of action, someone who puts others through
- 8:17trials with the hope that they fail.
- 8:21Dragon. In Revelation, the word used is
- 8:24dracon. It means a great serpent, a
- 8:27terrifying beast, something massive and ancient, symbolizing
- 8:32chaos and destruction. It's not a proper name, it's a
- 8:36title of fear and power. Accuser.
- 8:40We see this most clearly in Revelation 12/10, when Satan is
- 8:44called the accuser of our brethren.
- 8:47That's his job. To accuse, to condemn, to stand
- 8:50before God and bring charges against the righteous.
- 8:53Again, it's not a name, it's a role.
- 8:59So when I step back and look at all of these, something becomes
- 9:02clear. These aren't names.
- 9:04These are titles. They are descriptions,
- 9:10functions, and roles. Each one reveals something about
- 9:15how this being operates, but not who he is.
- 9:20Satan is the adversary. The Devil is the slanderer.
- 9:25Lucifer is the fallen glory seeker.
- 9:28The serpent is a deceiver. The Tempter is the one who
- 9:32tests. The dragon is the destroyer.
- 9:36The Accuser is the one who brings condemnation, but none of
- 9:40these tell us the name of the being behind it all.
- 9:45So now I had to ask a real question.
- 9:47If these are just titles, then who's playing the role?
- 9:52Is there one entity behind all of these, or are there many
- 9:56spirits who've carried these titles across time?
- 10:00I've been told there's a devil, when really there's a structure.
- 10:07Is Satan a person or a position? Is there one mastermind or a
- 10:13revolving door of evil? These kind of questions change
- 10:19everything because of Satan, Devil, Lucifer and all the rest
- 10:24aren't names. Then who exactly are these
- 10:27entities? And that's what led me to the
- 10:31next part of my study. Let's see if there's a leader
- 10:35behind it all. Is there really a leader behind
- 10:40all of this? It's a thought that won't let me
- 10:43go. We talk about Satan, the Devil,
- 10:47the great dragon, the deceiver. But as I kept reading and
- 10:50digging, I had to stop and ask myself, do the scriptures
- 10:53actually say there's one central figure behind it all?
- 10:56A chief over the fallen angels? A Prince over the forces of
- 11:00darkness? Or is that just something we've
- 11:02assumed or read into the text? Maybe something passed down over
- 11:07time, mixed with the traditions of doctrine, without us ever
- 11:12stopping to verify what's actually written.
- 11:17That's what I wanted to know. So I went looking.
- 11:20And I went looking deep. I wanted to see if the word ever
- 11:24clearly names a single being. A commander, a ruler among the
- 11:28rebellious host. Not a vague concept, not a
- 11:31metaphor. A real spiritual being with a
- 11:34real identity. And if there's one, who is it?
- 11:37Does he have a name? Does he show up more than once?
- 11:42First, I looked at SEM Jiazza. He's the one we see in the Book
- 11:48of Enoch, the leader of the 200 watchers who descended upon
- 11:52Mount Hermon and took wives among the daughters of men.
- 11:56SEM Jiazza is the one who initiates this pact.
- 12:01He rallies the other angels. He leads the rebellion.
- 12:05So if we're looking for someone who fits the role of chief
- 12:09adversary, this would seem like a strong candidate, right?
- 12:14But then I kept reading, and after the rebellion, Sam Jiyaza
- 12:18is judged, bound, and cast into the abyss.
- 12:22And just like that, he disappears.
- 12:25He never resurfaces. He doesn't even show up again in
- 12:28the scripture. He doesn't keep operating or
- 12:32influencing. His entire role begins and ends
- 12:36with the Watcher's fall. A leader, yes, but only in this
- 12:41instance, this part of the story, and not the kind of
- 12:46ongoing figure we're trying to find.
- 12:48Then I turned to Azazel. This one stood out immediately,
- 12:52and Enoch 10-6, the Most High, speaks plainly.
- 12:56The whole Earth has been corrupt through the works that were
- 13:00taught by Azazel to him ascribe all sin.
- 13:05That's a powerful statement. Azazel is described as the one
- 13:09who corrupted the world, teaching warfare, sorcery,
- 13:13vanity and wickedness. His influence was widespread,
- 13:17his actions changed the course of humanity.
- 13:21But again, he's judged, he's bound, and he vanishes.
- 13:27Like Semgyaza, Azazel is not an ongoing force throughout the
- 13:32Word. He doesn't keep appearing.
- 13:35He doesn't remain active. His story has a beginning, and
- 13:39it has an end. That's two names down and still
- 13:44no enduring leader. Now I looked again at the one
- 13:49who seems to linger. Satan, or more specifically,
- 13:53Hasatan, the Adversary. This one is different.
- 13:58This one keeps showing up. We see him in Job, coming before
- 14:03the Most High and asking permission to test the
- 14:06righteous. We see him again in the Gospels,
- 14:09tempting the Messiah directly in the wilderness.
- 14:12He's mentioned by the Messiah as the one who desires to sift
- 14:16Peter as wheat. He's referenced in Revelation 12
- 14:21as the great Dragon, the old serpent called the Devil and
- 14:24Satan who deceives the whole world.
- 14:27And unlike SEM, Jiaza, or Azazel, he's never bound, he's
- 14:32never castaway. He's still active, still
- 14:36engaging, still opposing the children of God.
- 14:39So if we're asking whether the Scriptures describe a leader
- 14:43among the fallen, an ongoing adversary who commands
- 14:46influences across all generations, then yes, that
- 14:50description fits. One being alone and the word
- 14:53calls him the God of this world. 2nd Corinthians 4, verse four,
- 15:00that old serpent called the devil and Satan, Revelation
- 15:0312/9. That's where I'm going to pause
- 15:09because now that we see there's a chief ranking adversary, now
- 15:15that we see that there's a lowercase G God of this world,
- 15:21now that we can see this Satan character, this devil, he keeps
- 15:25showing up. And I have to ask, is this one
- 15:30entity is the great dragon, the old serpent, the devil and Satan
- 15:36as he just wanted? Is that the same Satan each
- 15:40time? Is that the same devil across
- 15:44all generations? Or are there multiple Satans?
- 15:49Are there multiple devils? Now that we've seen the word
- 15:54point clearly to a chief ranking adversary, I want to dig even
- 15:58deeper. I didn't just want to know that
- 16:02there was one, I wanted to know where.
- 16:05Where does this adversary show up?
- 16:07What does the adversary do? And what is the consistency
- 16:12across all of these appearances? Does it act the same every
- 16:16single time it shows its face? So I went back into the
- 16:20scriptures and read through every single place where a name
- 16:25like Satan, Devil, Serpent, Adversary, or Lucifer shows up.
- 16:29I wasn't looking for what people said, I wanted the actual
- 16:32moments it was present in action.
- 16:35I made note of the book, chapter and verse, the scenario and what
- 16:40this entity or entities did. I looked at the traits and the
- 16:45tactics of each time I wanted to see what kind of being we're
- 16:49dealing with. So let's walk through the
- 16:51evidence together. Genesis 3 One through 5 Title
- 16:55Serpent Context tempting Eve in the Garden of Eden.
- 17:00What happens? He questions God's word, tells
- 17:02Eve ye shall not surely die, and entices her to eat the fruit.

- 18:37adversary Note The Lord rebukes Satan directly.
- 18:41The Lord rebuke thee, O Satan. Isaiah 1412 through 15.
- 18:48Title Lucifer Context A poetic rebuke directed to the king of
- 18:53Babylon. What happens?

- 19:09the Latin Vulgate. The Hebrew is halal.
- 19:13Ben Shikhar shining one son of the morning, Matthew 4, one
- 19:19through 11, Luke four, one through 13.
- 19:21Title The devil, the tempter, Satan.
- 19:24The context here is temptation of Jesus after the 40 day fast
- 19:29he did in the wilderness. What happens?
- 19:32Tries to get Jesus to turn stones into bread, to cast
- 19:36himself down and to worship him for the worldly kingdoms.
- 19:42Traits manipulative, cunning, scripturally literate.
- 19:46Often offers power, demands worship.
- 19:49Bad news man. Matthew 1623 Mark 833 Title
- 19:55Satan. Context.
- 19:57Jesus rebukes Peter, saying get thee behind me, Satan.
- 20:01What happens? Peter tries to stop Jesus from
- 20:04going to the cross. Traits uses those close to tempt
- 20:09and resist God's plan. The note used symbolically here
- 20:14Jesus identifies the adversary's spirit behind Peter's words.
- 20:19Luke 2231 Title Satan Context. Jesus says Satan had desired to

- 21:05Satan. Context.
- 21:07The end. He's bound for 1000 years.
- 21:11What happens? Judgment comes.
- 21:14He's thrown into the bottomless pit.
- 21:16The traits here are bound at last, held accountable,
- 21:20identified by all the same names again.
- 21:25And in Jasher 23, the title is Satan.
- 21:29Context. Abraham preparing to sacrifice
- 21:32Isaac. What happens?
- 21:34Satan appears repeatedly as an old man, then a young man, then
- 21:38a river to try to stop the obedience trait.
- 21:42Shapeshifter, deceiver, and tempter notes.
- 21:46Abraham recognizes him and rebukes him.
- 21:48Get thee from me, Satan drew believe 17 through 18.
- 21:54Title Satan Context. Same testing seen as Abraham.
- 21:58What happens? A shortened version of the same
- 22:01story, with Satan acting to oppose God's plan, his traits
- 22:06still playing the same role. Deception, temptation,
- 22:10interference. These are the records and these
- 22:16are the documented appearances of the being or beings we kept
- 22:20seeing across the Word under different titles, no matter the
- 22:25name, Serpent, Satan, Devil, tempter, accuser.
- 22:29Now that we see we have all of these instances, Genesis, Job,
- 22:34Jasher, Matthew, and more, let's take a step back and look at the
- 22:38pattern. Are these separate encounters
- 22:42with unrelated entities, or is this just a consistent figure
- 22:47moving behind the scenes? The situation feels too
- 22:50familiar. We keep seeing this entity show
- 22:53up during tests of the righteous.
- 22:56We see similar strategies approaching the Lord, requesting
- 23:01permission, twisting words, tempting, resisting God's plans.
- 23:07Even the titles themselves match the behavior.
- 23:09Satan means adversary, Devil means accuser, Serpent means
- 23:15deceiver. These aren't just names, they're
- 23:18descriptions of what the entity does, and if you line them all
- 23:24up, it's hard not to feel like it's the same one playing this
- 23:28role again and again. But we're not going to make bold
- 23:34claims here without a foundation.
- 23:36So let's go deeper into the Word and see if the Scriptures name
- 23:39anyone who fits this pattern, someone who moves this way
- 23:42consistently across a time under these titles.
- 23:45Let's see if the Bible actually gives us a match.
- 23:49Now that we've seen the titles appear throughout the Word
- 23:53Satan, Devil, Serpent, Accuser, Tempter.
- 23:56The question now becomes, do we ever see these roles connected
- 23:59to specific names? Has the Scripture ever revealed
- 24:02the identity to one behind them? Let's start with the very first
- 24:07place the serpent appears. In Genesis 3 we see the serpent,
- 24:11the one who deceives Eve and leads her astray, and twist the
- 24:15words of God. No name is given to the creature
- 24:18in the Genesis count. It's simply the serpent.
- 24:21But later in Revelation 12, verse 9, the word says, and the
- 24:25great dragon was cast out, that old serpent called the Devil and
- 24:31Satan who deceiveth the whole world.
- 24:33Revelation reaches all the way back to Genesis and refers to
- 24:38that same figure as that old serpent.
- 24:43Yeah, him. So the question must be asked,
- 24:46if Revelation is identifying the serpent of Genesis, does the
- 24:50Bible give us a name? Is there a scripture that
- 24:52connects the serpent to an actual being?
- 24:55Well, the Book of Enoch gives us that answer.
- 24:58In Enoch chapter 69, verse 6, it states, and the third was named
- 25:04Gadriel. He it is who showed the children
- 25:09of men all the blows of death, and he led astray Eve.
- 25:15That's our first name. The serpent in Genesis is
- 25:18unnamed, and in Enoch, the one who led Eve astray, the one who
- 25:23deceived her, is named Gadriel. This is no longer a title, it's
- 25:29a confirmed identity. Gadriel is listed among the 200
- 25:33watchers who descended on Mount Hermon, and in Enoch chapter 10,
- 25:37he is named among those who are judged and bound for their
- 25:41actions. So now we have our first direct
- 25:44match, a being named Gadriel who fulfills the role, the exact
- 25:49role, of the serpent. We'll pause Gadriel here.
- 25:54Now let's turn our attention to another title, Satan.
- 25:59This is the role that shows up again and again across
- 26:03Scripture, and one name continues to surface alongside
- 26:07of it. Prince Mistima.
- 26:12In the Book of Jubilees we see multiple appearances of Mistima
- 26:17always connected to evil temptation, resistant to God's
- 26:21will, and direct opposition to the righteous.
- 26:25In Jubilees chapter 10, Mistima asked God permission for
- 26:29permission to retain a portion of the evil spirits so he can
- 26:33lead mankind astray. In Chapter 11 verse five, he
- 26:38sends those spirits to corrupt the lineage of Noah.
- 26:41In chapter 17 and 18, it is Mistima who asked that Abraham
- 26:47be tested. And is it he who carries out the
- 26:52test? Yeah, very interesting.
- 26:56And in chapter 48, we see Mustima again, now resisting
- 27:00Moses and the people of Israel during their deliverance from
- 27:04Egypt. He even tries to kill Moses on
- 27:07the way. Mustima appears across
- 27:10generations, always working behind the scenes to oppose
- 27:13God's plan, deceiving rulers, leading spirits, and carrying
- 27:17out tests against the chosen. Then we come to the book of
- 27:22Jasher, chapter 23. The same story of Abraham
- 27:25offering Isaac appears, but here the one who tempts Abraham is
- 27:30not called Mustima, he's called Satan.
- 27:33The text says Satan took on a different forms to tempt
- 27:37Abraham, appearing as a man, then as an old man, then has a
- 27:42voice in Isaac's ear each time he tries to stop the offering,
- 27:46each time he fails and Abraham says to him, get thee from me
- 27:52Satan. Same story, same moment in time,
- 27:57same test, two different sources.
- 28:01One calls him Mastema, the other one calls him Satan.
- 28:04This gives us our first direct name, title, connection for
- 28:09Satan. Mastema and Jubilees is
- 28:12fulfilling the exact same role as Satan and Jasher.
- 28:16Not just similar actions, but the same event.
- 28:21So now we have 2 solid links, one between the Serpent and
- 28:25Gadriel, and one between the title Satan and Prince Mastima.
- 28:39And I'm actually going to stop right there.
- 28:41We're going to put a pin in this for another time in the near
- 28:45future. I made it about halfway through
- 28:47the document I was reading for, I don't know, 20 plus minutes.
- 28:52So that's pretty good. Hopefully you guys have a couple
- 28:55launching points and if you're able to read the transcript, if
- 28:59that's helpful for doing research or, you know, creating
- 29:03notes for your own personal studies.
- 29:06Yeah, that's a recommendation, but I'm just going to wind down
- 29:09and kind of ask you guys to like, share and subscribe.
- 29:12A lot of great things are happening and a lot of hard
- 29:16times are are happening side by side with these great things.
- 29:22And I'm just asking that if you guys have it in your heart to
- 29:25partner with us, you can find those links in the show notes
- 29:29and share these episodes. You know, really, I mean that
- 29:32that's free to do that. It doesn't require a lot of
- 29:36time, a lot of effort and just hit the share button and it
- 29:39totally makes a difference because we get to find more
- 29:42people that way. Seriously, if you guys seen the
- 29:44emails and the comments and, and just the reflection that I get
- 29:50from certain people that I've met and got in contact with
- 29:53where this show has helped them significantly, maybe there's
- 29:57someone else out there that only you can reach.
- 29:59You can send one of these episodes, any of these episodes
- 30:03to this individual via text and say, hey, take a journey, take a
- 30:07ride with Rod and dig into all of this stuff.
- 30:10And you know, it's been many years of doing this.
- 30:14I don't plan on stopping, but I also, I'm really looking for God
- 30:19to open doors and close doors and I have no idea what that
- 30:23will look like. I'm just trying to be faithful
- 30:25and just kind of failing forward through all the things, all of
- 30:30the things. So until next time that I decide
- 30:34to show up and read the other half of this document, you guys
- 30:37will just have to wait. God bless and goodbye.
