- 0:13Speaker 1: Hey, it's I Do Part two.
- 0:15Speaker 2: I am one of your celebrity mentors, Bob Guinea, and
- 0:17Speaker 2: I am in.
- 0:18Speaker 1: Beautiful Carmel, California.
- 0:21Speaker 2: I believe it's my fifth or sixth year here with
- 0:23Speaker 2: this awesome trip for the Pebble Beach Pro Am Golf competition,
- 0:26Speaker 2: and of course with our iHeart family, and we have
- 0:29Speaker 2: two women that we love on this pod Pod Bless America.
- 0:33Speaker 2: It's Golden's Kathy Swartz and Cindy Colors. Welcome, ladies.
- 0:37Speaker 1: Hey, how are you?
- 0:38Speaker 2: Thanks so much for I'm better now getting to talk
- 0:40Speaker 2: to you too. So okay, let's just talk about how
- 0:43Speaker 2: great this has been, right we have. We've had a
- 0:45Speaker 2: wonderful time. Did you guys get to do the shopping
- 0:47Speaker 2: always thing yesterday?
- 0:48Speaker 3: This is my third time. I think I've been to
- 0:50Speaker 3: every store now in Carmel.
- 0:51Speaker 1: I love it.
- 0:52Speaker 4: It's my first and we have had such a good time.
- 0:55Speaker 4: Did you buy some good stuff?
- 0:56Speaker 5: We all bought the same pants yesterday?
- 0:58Speaker 1: Oh, very nice.
- 1:00Speaker 3: It was the three women in the traveling pants.
- 1:03Speaker 2: Except I don't have to travel. We all take them home. Yeah,
- 1:05Speaker 2: there you go, it's perfect. Well, I loved it. I
- 1:08Speaker 2: know real quick. I know you're talking about this a
- 1:10Speaker 2: little bit last night. But uh you you two were
- 1:14Speaker 2: given an assignment by one of the producers. Probably if
- 1:18Speaker 2: I if I had to guess which producer, I bet.
- 1:20Speaker 1: I could guess which one she'd be right.
- 1:22Speaker 2: And she gave you an assignment to try and each
- 1:25Speaker 2: grab some digits while you're out in the town cavorting.
- 1:30Speaker 1: How did I go? Let's start.
- 1:32Speaker 2: Let's start with you, Sidney. Let's start with you. Were
- 1:33Speaker 2: you able to score some digits last week? Have no digits?
- 1:37Speaker 2: But I thought my I thought I had through today.
- 1:39Speaker 2: Oh yeah, if you can give you some today, I'll
- 1:42Speaker 2: get to okay, sound, we will do a follow up.
- 1:48Speaker 1: We might have someone in an early lead.
- 1:51Speaker 2: I guess you're say, apparently I gave out my digits
- 1:55Speaker 2: last night, and I was getting blown up by the
- 1:57Speaker 2: same uh same friends and family members that you were.
- 2:00Speaker 1: Yep, So let's talk about this. What you did? You
- 2:04Speaker 1: give out your number? Did you get a number? What happened? No?
- 2:07Speaker 3: I gave my number too. It was like three degrees
- 2:11Speaker 3: of separation whatever to a gentleman who you and I
- 2:15Speaker 3: were talking to him and his wife, Stephen Lee and
- 2:18Speaker 3: Stephen Lean at the bar and lovely people. And I,
- 2:24Speaker 3: of course always take every opportunity to say, do you
- 2:27Speaker 3: have any friends or family who are single?
- 2:28Speaker 1: Right?
- 2:29Speaker 3: And he said, actually I do, and took me over
- 2:31Speaker 3: and introduced me to this guy who's handsome, good looking guy.
- 2:35Speaker 3: And then Steve asked for my number, and then Steve
- 2:38Speaker 3: passed it on to him.
- 2:39Speaker 2: So we'll say, oh, well, hey, dude, if you're listening,
- 2:42Speaker 2: fire up that phone, all right, give us a call.
- 2:46Speaker 3: But now I've got another one yet two second called
- 2:49Speaker 3: me this morning. She has another one. He lives on
- 2:51Speaker 3: the golf course. Sweet, hey, zeus. So you know I
- 2:54Speaker 3: am in the early lead.
- 2:55Speaker 2: Here are we going to see this dude out there
- 2:56Speaker 2: that we're all going to a party house?
- 2:58Speaker 1: He is on the course. Wait, we are going to
- 3:00Speaker 1: his house today for a party.
- 3:01Speaker 3: Yes, that's confirmed that. I'm just waiting to hear from him.
- 3:04Speaker 3: Holy smokes, You're welcome.
- 3:07Speaker 1: Welcome.
- 3:07Speaker 2: I can't wait to meet him. I will be vetting him.
- 3:10Speaker 2: I did tell Leanne would bring you by on. Yeah,
- 3:12Speaker 2: I will be properly vetting this man. You know. I
- 3:15Speaker 2: got to say, I think it's interesting because uh, times
- 3:19Speaker 2: have changed, right, I mean, I I meet women in
- 3:22Speaker 2: the old fashioned way I hand out flowers on TV shows.
- 3:24Speaker 2: But I happen to know that, you know, the dating
- 3:28Speaker 2: apps and all that kind of stuff. Have you two
- 3:30Speaker 2: ever done the apps thing?
- 3:32Speaker 1: The day?
- 3:32Speaker 4: I think I think everybody who's single has at least
- 3:34Speaker 4: tried it. Yeah, and some of us have gotten off
- 3:37Speaker 4: of it, right, some are still participating in Kathy Kathy.
- 3:41Speaker 3: I'm it was a moment with my daughter where alcohol
- 3:45Speaker 3: was involved and she made me get on and I
- 3:47Speaker 3: am literally canceled it the next day.
- 3:50Speaker 1: Do you were you swiping? Did you do any swiping?
- 3:52Speaker 6: Oh?
- 3:52Speaker 3: I swiped a lot and a lot of these people
- 3:55Speaker 3: I think they're memes. I don't think they are real people.
- 3:58Speaker 7: Oh really, lots of catfish, lots of cat fishing, lots
- 4:02Speaker 7: of bodies without clothes, shirts on, and yeah, you know,
- 4:05Speaker 7: holding beers in the bathroom kind of guys.
- 4:08Speaker 4: And it's like people who are just wanting to get
- 4:11Speaker 4: attention and not really have a relationship.
- 4:13Speaker 2: Right, I could see that. I mean it's interesting. I
- 4:17Speaker 2: think if I were, you know, God forbid to ever
- 4:19Speaker 2: be single again. I don't know that you have.
- 4:21Speaker 3: A best whyfe you will never be single again?
- 4:23Speaker 2: Yeah? Well, she gets kind of tired of my antics.
- 4:27Speaker 2: But I always think I often wonder like what would
- 4:29Speaker 2: I do? Would I go on a thing like that.
- 4:31Speaker 2: I don't think I would, only because I feel like
- 4:35Speaker 2: for me it'd be easier to But I say this,
- 4:37Speaker 2: but you're right, I mean, it's not easy to do.
- 4:40Speaker 2: I always think it maybe be easier to meet through
- 4:41Speaker 2: friends and family, right or whatever.
- 4:44Speaker 4: But maybe now friends have known this for we both
- 4:46Speaker 4: lived in the same neighborhood for a long time. I've
- 4:48Speaker 4: lived in Austin for thirty years. So if somebody has
- 4:51Speaker 4: a single friend, I've probably exhausted that resource by.
- 4:54Speaker 1: Now exhausted that right. And she and I've been in
- 4:57Speaker 1: Austin twenty five plus.
- 4:58Speaker 3: Heres and Cindy, he has handed me all her rejects
- 5:01Speaker 3: and they haven't worked out either.
- 5:02Speaker 2: Yeah, okay, twice two million or so. Yeah, jeez, it's
- 5:07Speaker 2: tough out there, it is, right. Well, it's probably not
- 5:10Speaker 2: tough to meet I mean, it's going to sound inappropriate,
- 5:15Speaker 2: but it's probably not tough to meet.
- 5:16Speaker 1: Someone to hook up with.
- 5:17Speaker 2: But it's probably tough to meet someone to actually have
- 5:20Speaker 2: a relationship with, right.
- 5:22Speaker 4: I mean, I wouldn't say we're not meeting to hook
- 5:24Speaker 4: up any of them but for yourself. You can meet people,
- 5:31Speaker 4: and so you do, like have a couple of dates.
- 5:35Speaker 4: It's just getting past that second date, third date and
- 5:37Speaker 4: really looking at compatibility. You know, especially Kathy is a
- 5:40Speaker 4: unique person, right, I'm going to put a plug in
- 5:42Speaker 4: for her because it's going to take a really special
- 5:45Speaker 4: man to capture her attention and to make a good
- 5:48Speaker 4: partner for her. But when you do find a partner,
- 5:51Speaker 4: you're going to be the best partner. So I think
- 5:54Speaker 4: we're going to have to expand our search outside of Austin.
- 5:56Speaker 2: How about I want to do to Carmel, California. We're starting,
- 6:00Speaker 2: we're gonna be walking the golf course. Right, there's a
- 6:02Speaker 2: lot of a lot of there's a lot of tall men,
- 6:06Speaker 2: very tall. Well in the particular circle you're hanging out,
- 6:09Speaker 2: and yes, we're all we're all tall drinks of water.
- 6:11Speaker 2: But yeah, I can see you know, you walk in
- 6:13Speaker 2: on the golf course, you think the golf course.
- 6:14Speaker 1: Would be a good place to meet.
- 6:16Speaker 3: I mean, then why not? I think a lot of men,
- 6:19Speaker 3: single men are going to be out on this golf
- 6:20Speaker 3: course either, right, but how do we really know that
- 6:22Speaker 3: they're single?
- 6:23Speaker 4: A lot of men at our age category have stopped
- 6:26Speaker 4: wearing their wedding rings even if they are married, and
- 6:29Speaker 4: I think they don't realize that they can get them resized,
- 6:31Speaker 4: just get the resizing on the ring, so they stop,
- 6:34Speaker 4: they stop wearing them, and then they give the signal
- 6:36Speaker 4: that they might be sing.
- 6:37Speaker 3: Cindy, how long do you think would take either one
- 6:40Speaker 3: of us to figure out if a guy is married?
- 6:43Speaker 3: Just take how many minutes that you guys two questions?
- 6:46Speaker 3: Yeah there you got, there, you got.
- 6:48Speaker 1: I can see that.
- 6:48Speaker 3: And the difference between Cindy and one of the differences
- 6:51Speaker 3: is she will give a guy like two or three days.
- 6:55Speaker 1: We've talked about this.
- 6:56Speaker 3: I can tell you, like the guy last night at
- 6:59Speaker 3: the bar, I locked eyes with him, and when you
- 7:03Speaker 3: brought me back in to meet Leanne and Steve brought
- 7:07Speaker 3: me over to meet him, that was the same guy
- 7:09Speaker 3: that I locked eyes with. But so I know really
- 7:11Speaker 3: quickly if I'm interested in somebody, I don't need to
- 7:14Speaker 3: go on two or three dates, right And I and I.
- 7:16Speaker 1: Don't dude, were you two friends before? Never met her?
- 7:20Speaker 4: Never looking the same zip code. We have a couple
- 7:23Speaker 4: mutual friends, but not too many. But the first time
- 7:26Speaker 4: we met was when Kathy came to the mansion during
- 7:29Speaker 4: can put the Pajama party.
- 7:31Speaker 2: And you were and that's when you were like everybody,
- 7:33Speaker 2: let's let's give three cheers for Mel's get on the
- 7:36Speaker 2: bel train the train, and then some people got off
- 7:39Speaker 2: with the train. Yes, yes they did, all right, So
- 7:41Speaker 2: let's talk about this when it comes to men, what
- 7:44Speaker 2: are your biggest ick things? I have the hardest time
- 7:48Speaker 2: saying ick, But what is your biggest ick and what
- 7:51Speaker 2: are your biggest turn ons?
- 7:53Speaker 5: Wow?
- 7:54Speaker 4: Okay, so a man who knows how to manage me
- 7:59Speaker 4: and handle me is my biggest turn on. Okay, somebody
- 8:02Speaker 4: knows how to like touch me appropriately, like move me around,
- 8:07Speaker 4: look at me. Oh that connection, I miss it. That
- 8:11Speaker 4: is the biggest turnout turn on? What about you, Kathy?
- 8:14Speaker 3: My biggest turn on is probably a man who I meet,
- 8:19Speaker 3: looks me in the eye, smiles like that connection. That's
- 8:23Speaker 3: not a guy who and my biggest turn off. It
- 8:27Speaker 3: goes with that, because my biggest turn off is a
- 8:29Speaker 3: guy that I meet and all he wants to tell
- 8:31Speaker 3: me about is his money and his cars and his
- 8:36Speaker 3: It's superficial, superficial stuff. Because at our age, we've got
- 8:41Speaker 3: what we've got. I'm looking for a genuinely kind human
- 8:45Speaker 3: being who's interested.
- 8:46Speaker 1: So not gonna be impressed by somebody.
- 8:48Speaker 3: I mean, do I want a guy to have enough
- 8:51Speaker 3: money to take me to a nice restaurant and open
- 8:53Speaker 3: the door for me and you know, not put me
- 8:55Speaker 3: in his VW bug where my legs are coming through
- 8:57Speaker 3: the windshill. Yes, but that's not you know, it's not
- 9:01Speaker 3: that's not going to money is not going to make
- 9:04Speaker 3: the guy for me.
- 9:05Speaker 1: Right, I think that makes sense.
- 9:07Speaker 2: Well, we've got Cosmo came out with twenty seven of
- 9:10Speaker 2: the biggest X. So the twenty oh wait see here
- 9:14Speaker 2: just came out with twenty seven men on their dating
- 9:17Speaker 2: X and non negotiables who some of them were expecting
- 9:22Speaker 2: sex on the first date. This individual said, maybe I'm
- 9:25Speaker 2: an anomaly, but that's not my initial desire when meeting someone.
- 9:28Speaker 2: It's actually to connect and build a bond first. Another
- 9:33Speaker 2: one here was being overly interested in my financial situation.
- 9:36Speaker 1: Yep, so kind of like what you said. I think.
- 9:38Speaker 2: For if this is coming from a guy saying, and right,
- 9:41Speaker 2: I think the guy it's interesting because you know, I
- 9:44Speaker 2: think there's a lot of people think certain things about guys, right,
- 9:49Speaker 2: And for a guy to say, expecting sex on the
- 9:51Speaker 2: first date would be a turnoff for him. That's interesting
- 9:54Speaker 2: to me. I get the being overly interested in my
- 9:56Speaker 2: financial situation. That's kind of like what we're talking about
- 9:59Speaker 2: last night, when and we were kind of hitting on
- 10:01Speaker 2: some different hot button topics. And if a woman, you know,
- 10:04Speaker 2: for me, when I was single, if I met a
- 10:06Speaker 2: woman and she would immediately be like, you know, so
- 10:09Speaker 2: what is this, I'd.
- 10:10Speaker 1: Be like, well, it's nothing. The hell are you talking about?
- 10:12Speaker 1: You know? And I was like, it is what it is.
- 10:14Speaker 2: And I don't know what that is yet because I
- 10:15Speaker 2: met you fifteen minutes ago or whatever, or but I
- 10:18Speaker 2: would think of that same moment if someone were to
- 10:20Speaker 2: be like, so tell me about your you know, your portfolio, Like,
- 10:24Speaker 2: what the hell are you talking about? You know, there
- 10:26Speaker 2: are certain things I think would be major turnoffs in
- 10:28Speaker 2: that regard, and those are two of them. You already
- 10:30Speaker 2: kind of addressed that absolutely. Oh are there of you
- 10:34Speaker 2: cat ladies? I have two geriatric cats, geriatric cats, so
- 10:38Speaker 2: you're you. I am not a cat lady. They're not
- 10:40Speaker 2: a cat lady, but you're just taking care of some.
- 10:43Speaker 3: I rescued these cats, I fostered them when they were
- 10:47Speaker 3: three weeks old, fostered them. Yeah, and they never left
- 10:51Speaker 3: now thirteen and a half and I love them. But
- 10:55Speaker 3: you know, to me, being a cat that has this
- 10:56Speaker 3: pejorative connotations and I am not that cat lady.
- 11:01Speaker 2: There was a thing I saw a dating app profile
- 11:04Speaker 2: that was it went viral and I don't know if
- 11:05Speaker 2: any of you guys are I'm sure how they saw it,
- 11:08Speaker 2: but it was like this thing where the woman was like, Hi,
- 11:11Speaker 2: my name's Debbie. I am a nurse and I have
- 11:15Speaker 2: two cats and.
- 11:15Speaker 1: I love them so much. I don't understand why men
- 11:19Speaker 1: don't like her. It's like, have you heard your story
- 11:24Speaker 1: about cats?
- 11:24Speaker 2: You?
- 11:26Speaker 1: Yeah? Cats?
- 11:26Speaker 2: For some reason there is You're right, there is quite
- 11:28Speaker 2: a thought process there with cats.
- 11:30Speaker 1: I'll let it be known. I'm I'm putting it out
- 11:32Speaker 1: there right now.
- 11:33Speaker 2: I'm not a crazy cat, not a crazy cat lady.
- 11:46Speaker 1: Oh, here you go.
- 11:46Speaker 2: This is a good one. Here picks being fake right,
- 11:49Speaker 2: pictures being fake, filtered, faked or filter faked or filtered right.
- 11:56Speaker 3: College And here's I just have to ask, that is
- 11:59Speaker 3: a huge turn off to me to go and meet
- 12:01Speaker 3: a man. And we've talked about this, Cindy, go and
- 12:03Speaker 3: meet a man, and literally this has happened to me.
- 12:07Speaker 3: I walk right by him because the guy that's there
- 12:11Speaker 3: does not resemble in any way the guy how we
- 12:15Speaker 3: portrayed himself in his.
- 12:17Speaker 5: Do you FaceTime men before you meet them?
- 12:19Speaker 3: I talked to them on the phone. Okay, maybe I
- 12:21Speaker 3: should do that.
- 12:22Speaker 5: I think if you FaceTime then you would then you know,
- 12:25Speaker 5: see their real s.
- 12:25Speaker 3: That's good question. Can I tell you what I do?
- 12:27Speaker 3: And this is a PSA for all single women. I
- 12:31Speaker 3: have a Google phone number, and when I it doesn't
- 12:36Speaker 3: matter where I meet him. Except for the guy last night,
- 12:38Speaker 3: I give him my real number. But I do make exceptions.
- 12:43Speaker 3: But with a Google phone number, you cannot find, you
- 12:47Speaker 3: cannot research, You cannot find your name, your address, anything
- 12:52Speaker 3: about you. With a cell number, you would not believe
- 12:55Speaker 3: how much information you can find out about selling. So so,
- 12:59Speaker 3: and I've taated a couple of guys. One guy, when
- 13:01Speaker 3: he called me said, because you have what happens is
- 13:03Speaker 3: they call you and they have to give their name
- 13:06Speaker 3: and you can choose to accept or reject the.
- 13:08Speaker 1: Oh okay, okay, so that's interesting.
- 13:09Speaker 3: I had a guy who called and he when I answered,
- 13:13Speaker 3: he said, wait, what is this, and I explained that
- 13:16Speaker 3: my children are really concerned about my safety and it
- 13:19Speaker 3: was my kid's idea, and he said, yeah, well that's
- 13:21Speaker 3: not going to work for me. I said, it's been
- 13:22Speaker 3: so nice chatting click.
- 13:23Speaker 1: Yeah. Yeah, you know that.
- 13:25Speaker 3: It says a lot about a man who doesn't care
- 13:27Speaker 3: about your right, it's safety.
- 13:28Speaker 4: You know, they should be as protective of as even
- 13:30Speaker 4: if they don't know us.
- 13:31Speaker 1: Right, that's.
- 13:34Speaker 3: Offer me a guy that has a problem with a
- 13:37Speaker 3: Google phone.
- 13:38Speaker 1: Now I can see that. Oh it's interesting.
- 13:42Speaker 2: There's there's two about texting on here that I think
- 13:44Speaker 2: are pretty interesting. One is being a slow Texter is
- 13:48Speaker 2: a nick to this guy. Everyone always has her phone
- 13:50Speaker 2: on him all the time. There are very few reasons
- 13:52Speaker 2: why it would take you a day to reply to me.
- 13:53Speaker 1: Can I have this guy's number?
- 13:55Speaker 2: I'm just going to assume you're not interested? So that
- 13:58Speaker 2: was his thing. What do you think of that, Sime.
- 14:00Speaker 5: I'm kind of busy, yeh.
- 14:01Speaker 4: And when I'm with people, I try not to have
- 14:03Speaker 4: my phone out so there will be delays and when
- 14:05Speaker 4: I respond back to.
- 14:06Speaker 1: You, well see that's kind of a thing too.
- 14:08Speaker 2: That's a that's an age thing, right, because I think
- 14:11Speaker 2: younger people today like they never are they will set
- 14:15Speaker 2: their phone down that if it goes there in the
- 14:17Speaker 2: middle of a conversation, you're telling them something meaningful and
- 14:19Speaker 2: they're like texting. Whereas I love that. I love when
- 14:22Speaker 2: people like put their phone away and don't look at it.
- 14:23Speaker 2: I think that's pretty awesome. That's another rick for me.
- 14:26Speaker 3: If I go out to dinner or have a drink
- 14:29Speaker 3: with a guy and his phone's there and he's checking
- 14:31Speaker 3: his phone, he'll never see me again.
- 14:33Speaker 1: Yeah, well, yeah, it used to be that you would.
- 14:35Speaker 2: There was like a three day rule, right, like if
- 14:37Speaker 2: you like someone and you can active that in three days.
- 14:40Speaker 1: I can't wait days.
- 14:41Speaker 5: Well, back in the answering machines, I have an answering machine.
- 14:43Speaker 1: Message, I can tell you.
- 14:45Speaker 3: We talk about this women, my friends, my single friends,
- 14:48Speaker 3: and I'm much more. I'm just going to answer right now.
- 14:51Speaker 3: I'm not playing games. I think a day to wait,
- 14:55Speaker 3: a whole day. I think that's probably game playing, because
- 14:58Speaker 3: if you're not picking up your phone in a day,
- 15:01Speaker 3: then you're playing one.
- 15:03Speaker 4: I do think what they're probably alluding to is playing games. Yeah, yeah,
- 15:07Speaker 4: how long it takes? And especially, don't you hate it
- 15:09Speaker 4: when although I people text you and you answer back
- 15:12Speaker 4: and you see the bubbles yea, and then they don't
- 15:14Speaker 4: send anything.
- 15:16Speaker 3: I know you saw it. But here's my question. And
- 15:18Speaker 3: you are the guru. Bops, you tell us I'm the guru.
- 15:21Speaker 3: You are do the guys. If you answer right back,
- 15:26Speaker 3: when is now the chase over? Like, oh, no, she's
- 15:29Speaker 3: too weaker?
- 15:30Speaker 1: Question? I don't think so.
- 15:32Speaker 2: I think if you're texting in the first place, you're
- 15:34Speaker 2: looking for a response, right, unless it's an informational text, right,
- 15:38Speaker 2: But if it's if I'm texting someone, If I'm texting someone,
- 15:42Speaker 2: I think I would like a response, you know, I mean, ultimately,
- 15:46Speaker 2: that's why you're sending them a message in the first.
- 15:48Speaker 3: You know, you wouldn't think like, oh, she's pretty eager,
- 15:50Speaker 3: maybe she's too weak.
- 15:51Speaker 1: Now. I don't ever think things though. I'm a pretty
- 15:53Speaker 1: simple guy.
- 15:54Speaker 2: I would say an hour or two is okay from
- 15:58Speaker 2: a standpoint of someone me toeking someone and then not
- 16:01Speaker 2: replying right away, or or you know, if life gets
- 16:03Speaker 2: in the way and they're busy, or if they have obligations.
- 16:06Speaker 1: I totally get that.
- 16:07Speaker 2: Yeah, But if we're in the middle of texting and
- 16:09Speaker 2: then all of a sudden that person just bails a
- 16:12Speaker 2: day later, I'm going to be kind of like, well,
- 16:14Speaker 2: screw this person.
- 16:15Speaker 1: You know, I will tell on the dading app.
- 16:17Speaker 3: I had a guy reach out to me and literally
- 16:21Speaker 3: it was probably forty minutes later he said Hi, I
- 16:25Speaker 3: didn't see it thirty forty minutes later and then he
- 16:27Speaker 3: wrote back, thanks for not answering.
- 16:30Speaker 1: It's like.
- 16:32Speaker 6: Texting question for you all that I have to ask,
- 16:34Speaker 6: as singles and a non single good morning and good
- 16:39Speaker 6: night texts, how are our feelings about that?
- 16:45Speaker 5: Well, I've I.
- 16:46Speaker 1: Would say, are you from two situations?
- 16:49Speaker 8: Right?
- 16:49Speaker 2: So a good morning good night text from a guy?
- 16:51Speaker 2: Maybe you just met too much? Good morning again? We
- 16:54Speaker 2: just said that too much?
- 16:57Speaker 4: You've just met, But it is nice sometime during the day, Hey,
- 17:00Speaker 4: thinking about you, you know, looking forward to having a
- 17:05Speaker 4: live chat later or dinner this weekender.
- 17:09Speaker 5: You Wednesday or whatever.
- 17:10Speaker 1: But I will tell you.
- 17:10Speaker 3: It irritates me if even if I'm I have to
- 17:14Speaker 3: be in really deep like I met last night, he
- 17:16Speaker 3: can say good morning, good night?
- 17:20Speaker 1: Can you tell? This a repeating thing?
- 17:22Speaker 3: But no, Seriously, if if I don't know a guy, well,
- 17:25Speaker 3: I find it annoying. I really do find it annoying
- 17:29Speaker 3: if they're good morning, Kathy, thinking about you. I'm like,
- 17:32Speaker 3: I just met, we haven't even met, just talked, texted.
- 17:36Speaker 3: But what I do, and I told you this, I
- 17:38Speaker 3: have a new thing that I do when whether whatever
- 17:41Speaker 3: it is, when I meet a guy or this horrible
- 17:44Speaker 3: dating app that's about to expire. Thank god, I only
- 17:49Speaker 3: text a few times and then I say, you know,
- 17:51Speaker 3: why don't we chat on the phone. And I get
- 17:54Speaker 3: it so quickly. I can tell just by the conversation
- 17:57Speaker 3: if I want to go down the road.
- 17:58Speaker 1: Yeah, that's a good that's probably a good thing. I
- 18:00Speaker 1: would say.
- 18:00Speaker 2: From a married guy perspective, the good morning and good
- 18:04Speaker 2: night texts, I would probably be welcoming of them, because
- 18:08Speaker 2: my wife completely ignores me.
- 18:14Speaker 1: Oh yeah she is.
- 18:17Speaker 3: Well what I'm like, hold on, I'm going to defend
- 18:20Speaker 3: your fabulous wife. First of all, the poor thing is
- 18:23Speaker 3: sick as a dog and on the sofa, and I'm.
- 18:25Speaker 4: Sure you sent her phone in her hand, and I'm like,
- 18:29Speaker 4: she's probably too weak to get up. She's too weak.
- 18:31Speaker 1: Oh, there's a nanny there, give me a break. Did
- 18:34Speaker 1: you send her get well flowers? I'm thinking of you.
- 18:36Speaker 1: I love Oh I sent her.
- 18:40Speaker 2: You might be coming up on my dating now she's
- 18:42Speaker 2: gotta get well flight credit coming her way for missing
- 18:44Speaker 2: her flight.
- 18:45Speaker 1: No, I would say, uh, I welcome it.
- 18:47Speaker 2: I welcome a good morning organ night text, but it's
- 18:51Speaker 2: it's from a different place, like for example, like this morning,
- 18:53Speaker 2: I wanted to talk to my kids this morning before
- 18:55Speaker 2: they went to school. I want to check on my wife,
- 18:57Speaker 2: make sure she was feeling okay and that our or
- 19:00Speaker 2: nanny was there to help with the kids that get
- 19:01Speaker 2: him off to school and stuff, because we originally hired
- 19:03Speaker 2: her to be there for us being out of town.
- 19:06Speaker 2: But then when when Jessica was sick, I was like, well,
- 19:08Speaker 2: let's just keep Katrina there and she can help you,
- 19:11Speaker 2: you know.
- 19:11Speaker 5: So so what a guy, I'm very sweet like.
- 19:14Speaker 2: That's and next way, she doesn't expect flowers, right, totally kidding, No,
- 19:18Speaker 2: But I think it is different depending on your relationship
- 19:21Speaker 2: status with someone.
- 19:22Speaker 1: But I will say that.
- 19:24Speaker 4: In a relationship, I do prefer that the man send
- 19:27Speaker 4: the good morning good night.
- 19:28Speaker 1: Yeah, I don't.
- 19:29Speaker 4: I don't like to initiate that. I feel like that's
- 19:31Speaker 4: something that the man should initiate.
- 19:35Speaker 1: This is interesting, This is a question for me.
- 19:39Speaker 2: Do men want a woman that embraces her feminine side,
- 19:42Speaker 2: or do men like women that are always taking charge?
- 19:46Speaker 2: That's a loaded question to me because I am used
- 19:50Speaker 2: to very strong women in my life, my mom, my sister,
- 19:54Speaker 2: my wife. But I also I like it both ways.
- 19:58Speaker 2: I like her to occasionally allow me to take charge
- 20:01Speaker 2: and take the lead. But there are times when I'll say,
- 20:04Speaker 2: you know, where should go for dinner? And I don't
- 20:06Speaker 2: want her to say I don't care wherever.
- 20:07Speaker 1: You want to go. That's not what I want. I
- 20:09Speaker 1: want to say Mexican. Yeah, awesome. But here's the thing.
- 20:11Speaker 3: That you just said that you talk about taking charge
- 20:16Speaker 3: feminine and you can address it, but femininity does not
- 20:20Speaker 3: necessarily it's not necessarily in contention or again, they don't
- 20:26Speaker 3: have to be exactly, they're the same. To me, A
- 20:29Speaker 3: strong woman is a feminine woman, sure, or Kenby doesn't
- 20:32Speaker 3: have to be. But to your question, I mean finding
- 20:34Speaker 3: where you want to go to dinner?
- 20:35Speaker 4: That is probably one of the top fights that couples always, always, always,
- 20:39Speaker 4: so in that situation, if you don't want to pick,
- 20:42Speaker 4: is there a different way that you could bring it
- 20:43Speaker 4: out in your wife?
- 20:45Speaker 2: Yeah, Like, for example, I'm thinking of chopsticks or tacos perfect.
- 20:49Speaker 1: Yeah, it's like what you do with the two year old,
- 20:52Speaker 1: you know either or yeah, you always get me.
- 20:54Speaker 4: And I can tell you from a feminine perspective, if
- 20:56Speaker 4: I wanted to pick a place, but I don't want
- 20:59Speaker 4: to take a place, I would say, I bet you
- 21:02Speaker 4: know exactly where I want to go to dinner tonight.
- 21:04Speaker 1: Right where do you think? What do you think? Where
- 21:06Speaker 1: do you think?
- 21:07Speaker 4: I'm thinking Mexican or talking or a Mexican right, yeah,
- 21:10Speaker 4: And I can say, oh my gosh, that would be perfect.
- 21:13Speaker 4: And actually that sounds great. But I was thinking sushi.
- 21:15Speaker 4: But you're right, Mexican would be great. But no, no, babe,
- 21:17Speaker 4: let'sh no.
- 21:19Speaker 1: I like that. Men.
- 21:20Speaker 3: Let me just say, I've known a lot of men
- 21:22Speaker 3: who are not who want you. They want the woman
- 21:26Speaker 3: to say. They don't want to play that game. They
- 21:28Speaker 3: want Kathy, where do you want to go for dinner?
- 21:30Speaker 3: I'm not a foodie, so I really don't care. Yeah,
- 21:32Speaker 3: but I'm learning that I have to because men say
- 21:35Speaker 3: it annoys them. If you say I don't care, they
- 21:38Speaker 3: want you to. Well, I think it's yeah, I get that,
- 21:42Speaker 3: I don't care.
- 21:43Speaker 2: Part if you if you genuinely could eat a twinkie
- 21:47Speaker 2: or have you know, a steak dinner. But if you
- 21:50Speaker 2: throw out a couple options, I think that's kind of nice,
- 21:53Speaker 2: and then you could still let the guy decide.
- 21:55Speaker 8: Right.
- 21:55Speaker 2: So it's like, well, I don't know, I would I
- 21:57Speaker 2: would like sushi or I would even love a steakhouse.
- 21:58Speaker 2: Either one would be great, awesome. Well let's go to
- 22:01Speaker 2: the stage. Oh no, no, no, no, you both have it
- 22:03Speaker 2: all wrong. What you want to do is say how
- 22:05Speaker 2: high do you want my heels tonight?
- 22:07Speaker 5: Babe?
- 22:09Speaker 1: That should determine where we go. That's nice. Oh nice.
- 22:14Speaker 3: Let me tell you something. Cindy has this scam down.
- 22:17Speaker 4: It's not a game. It's a dynamic. It's a ying
- 22:20Speaker 4: and yang, it's a back and forth. It's a play
- 22:23Speaker 4: that I really enjoy. I really, it's I don't feel
- 22:25Speaker 4: it's a game. I think it should be how we
- 22:27Speaker 4: look a fun game? Yeah, relationship dynamic.
- 22:31Speaker 2: You know, I agree with you because I think the
- 22:32Speaker 2: relationships should be fun, and they're not fun, you know
- 22:36Speaker 2: what I mean?
- 22:37Speaker 1: Exactly?
- 22:37Speaker 2: Yeah, we can probably have a lot of fun by ourselves.
- 22:40Speaker 2: You have to be with someone who you can't have
- 22:41Speaker 2: fun with, So it's like.
- 22:43Speaker 1: And I will tell you that is so high on
- 22:45Speaker 1: my list. I have dated men.
- 22:47Speaker 3: We talked about this, so it's like somebody who wrote
- 22:50Speaker 3: answers these questions.
- 22:51Speaker 1: You were reading our minds.
- 22:53Speaker 3: Men always say how I'm so funny and I make
- 22:57Speaker 3: them laugh?
- 22:58Speaker 1: Yeah, you know what?
- 22:59Speaker 3: I want? Guy that makes me laugh? Sure, I want
- 23:01Speaker 3: a guy who's playful. I want a guy who's fun.
- 23:04Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 23:04Speaker 3: It's not enough for me to be fun and playful.
- 23:06Speaker 3: I need them to be that way.
- 23:07Speaker 2: Well, and you feed off of it a little bit too,
- 23:09Speaker 2: like as being someone who I love making people laugh.
- 23:11Speaker 2: It's like sometimes I want someone who gives as good
- 23:13Speaker 2: as it gets, you know, and then I can be like, Okay,
- 23:15Speaker 2: I got a partner here.
- 23:16Speaker 1: This is gonna be fun.
- 23:17Speaker 2: Yeah, and it can be a romantic relationship of friendship
- 23:19Speaker 2: whatever it is. Still, I still want someone to make
- 23:22Speaker 2: me laugh too.
- 23:22Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 23:24Speaker 4: But your kids get older and you have it with
- 23:25Speaker 4: your kids. Yeah, Oh, I mean you probably already do.
- 23:27Speaker 4: I dynamic my boys are pretty funny kids.
- 23:31Speaker 8: I gotta be honest, all right.
- 23:42Speaker 2: So brand new year ahead, Right, We're in February, so
- 23:46Speaker 2: we've got ten months to go.
- 23:48Speaker 1: Eleven months if you count February.
- 23:49Speaker 2: I guess, what are some of your goals like for
- 23:52Speaker 2: each of you, Like if you have some goals around dating,
- 23:55Speaker 2: around relationships, just you know, it doesn't have to necessarily
- 23:58Speaker 2: be a romantic relationship, but around what you want to
- 24:01Speaker 2: accomplish this year from a standpoint of putting your heart
- 24:04Speaker 2: out there.
- 24:05Speaker 4: Well, I have to get some digits today, you do.
- 24:08Speaker 4: I have to get two sets of digits today. So
- 24:10Speaker 4: that's goal number one. Yes, you know, I don't really
- 24:14Speaker 4: I don't really play the New Year's resolution thing. Last year,
- 24:16Speaker 4: you know what I did? It actually was such a
- 24:18Speaker 4: great idea depended on TikTok. All things good on TikTok.
- 24:21Speaker 4: I did a Bingo card. So instead of having a
- 24:24Speaker 4: set of resolutions, I put together a Bingo card of
- 24:28Speaker 4: all the things that I wanted to accomplish. Some were professionals,
- 24:30Speaker 4: some were personal, some were seeing my children, some were
- 24:33Speaker 4: learning how to arrange flowers, and I put them in
- 24:36Speaker 4: little blocks on the Bingo card and I would cross
- 24:38Speaker 4: them out. Such a great sense of accomplishment. But you
- 24:42Speaker 4: hit all the I hit all the categories of my life.
- 24:44Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 24:45Speaker 5: Actually I did it.
- 24:45Speaker 4: After I got off the show as well, because I
- 24:47Speaker 4: kind of felt like I needed something to stable sure
- 24:50Speaker 4: and to recharge yourself a little to get it.
- 24:53Speaker 3: That's a great Yeah, I'm a little bit. I also
- 24:56Speaker 3: do not make New Year's resolutions. I think every day
- 24:58Speaker 3: is a brand new day and if you don't like something,
- 25:01Speaker 3: today's the day to change it.
- 25:02Speaker 1: So that's how I live my life.
- 25:04Speaker 3: But for dating, for me, believe it or not, as
- 25:06Speaker 3: outgoing as I am, I have a really hard time
- 25:11Speaker 3: initiating going up to a man or.
- 25:13Speaker 5: Oh no, no, oh no.
- 25:16Speaker 4: We traveled together here, so we live in Austin, but
- 25:19Speaker 4: we don't live together.
- 25:21Speaker 3: You say this, This was my quote unquote New Year's
- 25:24Speaker 3: resolution to force myself to do it. And I've done
- 25:27Speaker 3: it a couple of times. It gets somewhere, but I'm
- 25:30Speaker 3: telling you I've done it like twice, and I'm so
- 25:33Speaker 3: my goal is kind of to do that, to go
- 25:36Speaker 3: up and say hello, and you know, it doesn't go anywhere.
- 25:40Speaker 1: I'm no worse off and it might go somewhere.
- 25:42Speaker 2: So but I feel like you're like me though, Kathy,
- 25:44Speaker 2: Like I talk to everybody. So it's like said, you know,
- 25:46Speaker 2: at the end of the day, is a guy standing
- 25:48Speaker 2: next to me, like, Hey, how you doing.
- 25:49Speaker 3: Man, It's not like I do hit, but see if
- 25:53Speaker 3: I'm interested. Absolutely, you and I are very similar. I
- 25:56Speaker 3: have never met a stranger. But if I like that
- 25:58Speaker 3: guy last night, then it was a little bit more
- 26:02Speaker 3: tentative because sikes were a little hot, stakes are a
- 26:04Speaker 3: little hot.
- 26:05Speaker 1: Interesting.
- 26:05Speaker 3: But I still do it and I didn't used to
- 26:07Speaker 3: do that, So that's kind of my dating.
- 26:10Speaker 4: You're doing well, yeah, I mean you're taking up the
- 26:13Speaker 4: pace today.
- 26:14Speaker 3: I'm going to just see if I can like push
- 26:15Speaker 3: you out of the contest totally.
- 26:17Speaker 1: And just you know, when I.
- 26:18Speaker 2: Was single, so my wife used to say this about
- 26:21Speaker 2: me because we were really kind of like friends with
- 26:23Speaker 2: benefits before we were dating.
- 26:25Speaker 1: Well, then she loves you putting that out. She knows.
- 26:29Speaker 2: But I was always so noncommittal, right, and she would go,
- 26:32Speaker 2: you just like flirt with everybody. I'm like, yeah, but
- 26:36Speaker 2: it was true, like I'd be like, hey, how you doing,
- 26:38Speaker 2: and it was and so I was never thinking. I
- 26:41Speaker 2: was never putting too much on it. Like it wasn't
- 26:42Speaker 2: like I was trying to sleep with this girl. And
- 26:45Speaker 2: that's why I'm going to talk to her, right, I
- 26:47Speaker 2: was just talking to her and if it went somewhere else.
- 26:49Speaker 2: Great if it didn't, I'm totally fine with that too.
- 26:51Speaker 4: Will they say, that's really important when you have any
- 26:53Speaker 4: conversation to forget about the outcome. You're not doing it
- 26:56Speaker 4: with the intent of I'm going to get a date
- 26:59Speaker 4: from this. I'm going to have a friend from this. Like,
- 27:01Speaker 4: just forget the outcome, Just enjoy people.
- 27:03Speaker 2: Enjoy the moment and be in the moment right, and
- 27:06Speaker 2: put your phone down and be in the moment right,
- 27:08Speaker 2: But make sure you.
- 27:09Speaker 1: Text back in ten minutes exactly. Yeah, don't.
- 27:12Speaker 2: I just kidding, all right, So, uh, let's ask for
- 27:15Speaker 2: some advice here. You two obviously masterful at.
- 27:19Speaker 1: The game of dating.
- 27:21Speaker 5: I'm still single.
- 27:22Speaker 2: Well, that's because that chicly until yeah, only until the
- 27:26Speaker 2: end of today, That's right. If you have people out
- 27:29Speaker 2: there that are listening that are are just ready to
- 27:32Speaker 2: give up on love, right, they're just like, I'm done.
- 27:35Speaker 1: Don't don't give up on love. It's it's every day,
- 27:40Speaker 1: you know.
- 27:41Speaker 3: I'm gonna be honest, I don't like when people say
- 27:44Speaker 3: manifest that's almost a four letter word to me at
- 27:46Speaker 3: this point. Sure, I just believe, if believe that's my
- 27:50Speaker 3: work for twenty twenty six belief. Just live your life
- 27:54Speaker 3: with intention, enjoy who you are, and and good things
- 28:01Speaker 3: and bad things will come into your life. But don't
- 28:03Speaker 3: give up, because you're not even giving yourself an opportunity
- 28:08Speaker 3: if you give up. And there's so much I mean,
- 28:10Speaker 3: I'm just so grateful for every day of my life
- 28:13Speaker 3: that I thoroughly enjoy every day, and good people come
- 28:17Speaker 3: into my life and great opportunities come into my life.
- 28:19Speaker 3: But if you sit home and say I give up,
- 28:22Speaker 3: it's not in my vocabulary.
- 28:24Speaker 4: I just also enjoy this season of being single, right, Yeah,
- 28:28Speaker 4: don't continue to put a really long winner. It's a
- 28:32Speaker 4: very long season sometimes and sometimes a short win. But
- 28:35Speaker 4: you know, if it ends, you will probably miss this time.
- 28:38Speaker 4: I was at church the other day. I've told this
- 28:40Speaker 4: story a couple of times. There was a man like
- 28:42Speaker 4: man spreading. He was like, legs apart, touching my leg.
- 28:45Speaker 4: I'm a stranger. He's making all these noises.
- 28:48Speaker 1: I'm like, you forget, Did you give me your digits?
- 28:51Speaker 1: Did not give No.
- 28:52Speaker 5: He was with his family, but yeah, even weirder.
- 28:56Speaker 4: So sometimes it's okay to be single, and we should
- 28:59Speaker 4: just appreciate the love that we have in our life
- 29:02Speaker 4: and if it's not the partner love, still be open
- 29:05Speaker 4: to it, but don't rely on it again, let go
- 29:08Speaker 4: the outcome.
- 29:08Speaker 3: And I would add to that, love yourself. Just now, downstairs,
- 29:14Speaker 3: one of the men who works at this hotel said
- 29:18Speaker 3: to me, do you have a hard time dating? I
- 29:21Speaker 3: don't know why, he asked me, and I said, you know,
- 29:23Speaker 3: I gave the answer, and then he said, well, you
- 29:26Speaker 3: know what there is You're fabulous.
- 29:27Speaker 1: There is a guy out there for you.
- 29:29Speaker 3: And I looked at him and I said, I hope
- 29:31Speaker 3: there is, but if there isn't, I'm still happy. It's
- 29:35Speaker 3: being happy with who you are regardless. A man is
- 29:39Speaker 3: not going to make me complete. I am complete, you
- 29:41Speaker 3: we are all complete. It's finding someone that adds to
- 29:45Speaker 3: your life, right, That's that's you know.
- 29:48Speaker 2: A great former bachelor once said, it's amazing what a
- 29:51Speaker 2: difference a year makes.
- 29:52Speaker 1: Right, Yeah, I think he even wrote a book sounds
- 29:56Speaker 1: like sounds I think it's.
- 29:59Speaker 3: I think it's this guy that's really smart and has
- 30:02Speaker 3: a fabulous he's so funny.
- 30:05Speaker 4: So I.
- 30:07Speaker 2: Say that because I was in like, you know, I
- 30:10Speaker 2: was going through a divorce.
- 30:12Speaker 1: I'm like, what is going on? And then all of
- 30:13Speaker 1: a sudden.
- 30:13Speaker 2: A year later, I'm sitting on Oprah's couch and everyone
- 30:16Speaker 2: wants me to be the bachelor.
- 30:17Speaker 1: Right, And so that's what I did.
- 30:19Speaker 2: But it was kind of interesting because when you let
- 30:22Speaker 2: go of the outcome and when you just embrace the
- 30:24Speaker 2: fact that, you know what, I'm a good person, and
- 30:28Speaker 2: I know that, you know, if somebody's out there, I'll
- 30:30Speaker 2: find them, and if they're not, I'm fine with myself.
- 30:32Speaker 1: I'm perfectly happy, right.
- 30:34Speaker 2: And it's amazing if you give yourself that grace and
- 30:37Speaker 2: allow yourself to, you know, just sort of embrace life
- 30:41Speaker 2: and do whatever you got to do to wake up
- 30:43Speaker 2: every day and put a smile on your face and
- 30:45Speaker 2: get out there and say hi to a couple of people.
- 30:47Speaker 2: It's amazing the great things that can come your way.
- 30:49Speaker 4: I remember telling my kids when they're in middle school,
- 30:51Speaker 4: everybody has to take that public speaking class.
- 30:54Speaker 1: I taught it.
- 30:54Speaker 4: You tell me this, I told my kids all the time.
- 30:58Speaker 4: Nobody wants to watch a nervous speaker. It's so uncomfortable
- 31:02Speaker 4: for everyone to watch that. And no one wants to
- 31:05Speaker 4: look at a desperate dater. Now you can tell those
- 31:09Speaker 4: people who are desperate to have a relationship. Live your life,
- 31:13Speaker 4: be happy, be confident in who you are, and that's
- 31:16Speaker 4: so much more attractive. It's so much more alluring and magnetic.
- 31:19Speaker 3: But even but see, even when you said that, Cindy,
- 31:22Speaker 3: it's it's it's and I know this isn't what you mean,
- 31:25Speaker 3: but it sounds like you're saying that to attract someone.
- 31:28Speaker 1: I'm saying, lively happy.
- 31:30Speaker 3: With yourself for yourself, not for the attraction of other people,
- 31:33Speaker 3: because because if you're happy with yourself, that radiates and
- 31:38Speaker 3: that and that's something I've learned actually since my husband died.
- 31:42Speaker 3: Uh And and so I do it for me, you know,
- 31:46Speaker 3: I wake up and put a smile on my face
- 31:48Speaker 3: for me. Yeah, I think it's a great way to
- 31:50Speaker 3: live your life. Well, guys, I love you both. This
- 31:53Speaker 3: has been really great for me.
- 31:54Speaker 5: We we love you too.
- 31:56Speaker 1: Thank you.

- 31:58Speaker 3: have to call you your wife and find out what
- 32:01Speaker 3: she wants for Balentine's Day.
- 32:04Speaker 2: Yeah, yes, for sure, some digits do we have to
- 32:15Speaker 2: give or get digits?
- 32:17Speaker 1: I think we're good either way.
- 32:19Speaker 2: It's just digit digital change.
- 32:23Speaker 1: So you have to get theirs and give. Well, no,
- 32:25Speaker 1: I don't have to get digits. We have to yeah,
- 32:28Speaker 1: give or get Yes.
