- 0:31Speaker 3: The Stock Movers podcast your roundup of companies making moves
- 0:36Speaker 3: in the stock market, harnessing the power of Bloomberg data.
- 0:41Speaker 4: Let's take a look at some stocks in the move
- 0:43Speaker 4: on this Tuesday. Bloomberg News Equities reporter Normal Linda on
- 0:46Speaker 4: Tuesday stock Movers. So Newsmax, Yeah, I mean, how could
- 0:50Speaker 4: you not talk about Newsmax today.
- 0:52Speaker 5: I just think it's such an insane number. That's why
- 0:54Speaker 5: I love talking about flowers. Right, So, we're seeing Newsmac
- 0:57Speaker 5: shares that ended for triple digit gains today, up one
- 1:02Speaker 5: hundred and seventy nine percent. We know, of course that
- 1:05Speaker 5: Newsbacks is owned by a former New York Post journalist,
- 1:09Speaker 5: Christopher Ruddy, and this company really got a lot of
- 1:13Speaker 5: traction during the election time. Period they run up to
- 1:16Speaker 5: the election, as people were tuning into conservative media ahead
- 1:20Speaker 5: of President Trump's presidential election. This company iPod yesterday and
- 1:24Speaker 5: listed on the New York Stock Exchange. The company has
- 1:27Speaker 5: a market value of more than ten point seven billion dollars,
- 1:31Speaker 5: but it did servege triple digits yesterday, seven hundred and
- 1:34Speaker 5: eighty percent.
- 1:35Speaker 4: You know, it's thirty billion dollars? Is it thirty billion dollars?
- 1:39Speaker 4: Speaking now, listen, I'm with.
- 1:40Speaker 2: You because that I was probably yesterday earlier.
- 1:43Speaker 5: I'm outdated.
- 1:44Speaker 4: Earlier in the session, I actually had noted it, and
- 1:47Speaker 4: I was like, oh, it's now like a ten or
- 1:49Speaker 4: twelve billion dollar market. But it just kept going up,
- 1:52Speaker 4: going up. My goodness, it is a thirty billion dollar
- 1:54Speaker 4: market company. It is up twenty two hundred percent.
- 1:58Speaker 2: Wow a billionaire now, Oh yeah, he's a billionaire now.
- 2:01Speaker 2: And just to remain contextualize this for us during our simulcast,
- 2:06Speaker 2: looking at Warner Brothers Discovery for example, that's a twenty
- 2:09Speaker 2: five billion dollar company. Paramount Global an eight point three
- 2:13Speaker 2: billion dollar company. We're talking about, like, what about the
- 2:16Speaker 2: New York Times, Because all I'm going to say.
- 2:19Speaker 4: Is mid May, they're going to report their earnings.
- 2:22Speaker 2: Cannot wait, so New York Times I'm just pullinting it
- 2:24Speaker 2: up on the terminal. Eight point two billion dollar company.
- 2:26Speaker 5: All right, we got a move The comparison's insane.
- 2:28Speaker 3: We just got to move on.
- 2:30Speaker 2: We'll see how long it goes for.
- 2:31Speaker 1: I know, I know, I know.
- 2:32Speaker 2: Stuff does not last forever.
- 2:34Speaker 5: Right now, keeping kind of in the realm of entertainment,
- 2:36Speaker 5: I was also keeping an eye on companies like Vivid
- 2:38Speaker 5: Seats and Live Nation. We had Vivid Seats falling. I
- 2:42Speaker 5: fell about two point four percent today. Live Nation did
- 2:44Speaker 5: end up one percent higher. But why we've really been
- 2:47Speaker 5: looking at this today is because President Trump signed an
- 2:49Speaker 5: executive order. He's really trying to crack down on ticket
- 2:53Speaker 5: scalping and fees. We had our call yat Kayla Gardner
- 2:56Speaker 5: in DC. She wrote about this on the terminal yesterday evening.
- 2:58Speaker 5: But essentially, Trump is trying to direct the FTC to
- 3:02Speaker 5: work with the DOJ to ensure that competition laws are
- 3:05Speaker 5: enforced in the concert and entertainment industry. I don't know
- 3:08Speaker 5: if you guys remember way back when when Taylor Swift's
- 3:11Speaker 5: concert tickets.
- 3:12Speaker 2: Very long ago, No, I know, in my lifetime, long
- 3:16Speaker 2: ago it happened just finished her tour.
- 3:20Speaker 5: They were really expensive, so much happened, Sin said, but
- 3:22Speaker 5: they were so expensive.
- 3:23Speaker 4: So but they were expensive, they were in demand. Like
- 3:26Speaker 4: is this about the fees and stuff that thank you for?
- 3:29Speaker 4: But is this really about the fees that are thrown
- 3:31Speaker 4: on top of everything that's.
- 3:32Speaker 5: He's saying that he's urging for transparency at quote all
- 3:35Speaker 5: stages of the ticket purchasing process. So I mean, of
- 3:39Speaker 5: course that's not the best news for places.
- 3:41Speaker 4: Demand a supply and demand, but I just feel like
- 3:44Speaker 4: they can really run up run when scalpers used to
- 3:47Speaker 4: buy them all and like, you know, I'm just going
- 3:49Speaker 4: to throw out there, are you just hurt?
- 3:51Speaker 2: I'm hurt because I don't think bonie Ver is going
- 3:53Speaker 2: to go on a new tour this year, and Bonieverarr's
- 3:56Speaker 2: got a new album coming out in a little over
- 3:58Speaker 2: a week. This is my favorite band. I wouldn't call
- 4:02Speaker 2: it an art project. It's not even a band. You
- 4:04Speaker 2: guys know what you're the Bonny Bear stands no when
- 4:06Speaker 2: I'm talking.
- 4:06Speaker 4: I was like, oh, is this something your son like?
- 4:08Speaker 3: Listens?
- 4:09Speaker 2: Well, he does because he's forced to listen to it,
- 4:11Speaker 2: because I forced him to listen to Tony Bear.
- 4:13Speaker 4: Sounds like no bony bears.
- 4:16Speaker 5: You might have to do the spelling.
- 4:18Speaker 3: We're over here like bony bear.
- 4:21Speaker 4: Okay, come on, we're gonna get to one more PVH.
- 4:23Speaker 4: This was a stock that I highlighted.
- 4:25Speaker 5: Yes, a name in the green owner of Calvin Klein
- 4:28Speaker 5: and Tommy Hill. Figure. We saw double digit games today,
- 4:31Speaker 5: up eighteen percent. That's the best day in two years
- 4:33Speaker 5: for the company, and so that it expects sales growth
- 4:35Speaker 5: I know, to be flat or slightly positive. But Wall
- 4:38Speaker 5: Street was thinking that they would have a percentage of
- 4:41Speaker 5: half point decline in terms of percentage there for sales growth.
- 4:44Speaker 5: But I've recorded a call out that some of the
- 4:45Speaker 5: company's initiatives are quote starting to stabilize the business. But
- 4:48Speaker 5: I mean, if you look at the stock is still
- 4:50Speaker 5: down what almost forty percent this year?
- 4:52Speaker 2: What's it? Jeremy Allen White, that's the uh you're finding it?
- 4:56Speaker 4: You know, he's going back to the Calvin Clin underwear.
- 4:58Speaker 2: Yeah, the Calvin Klein, the ah the Bear, Season three
- 5:02Speaker 2: of the Bear. When is that happening?
- 5:03Speaker 5: No spoilers, This is gonna take for you to.
- 5:05Speaker 2: Get over this, you know, probably until next quarter.
- 5:08Speaker 4: Yesterday or after the close yesterday when the earner bear,
- 5:12Speaker 4: when is that up? And so he was looking at
- 5:14Speaker 4: pvah because we were breaking down the earnings, and up
- 5:16Speaker 4: pops on the screen. Is the bear and so June Underwear.
- 5:21Speaker 2: June twenty twenty five. Perhaps, according to Gemini, Google AI
- 5:25Speaker 2: uncited Okay Okay, potentially.
