- 2:53with Net. I am your host, Nelly Harvey, and I just want
- 2:58to say welcome. I want to say good night, thank you for coming
- 3:01back and being with us for this season. I want to say thank you
- 3:07to the Crew podcast again, to all of the divas that have started their
- 3:13shows. This week we are off and running and we are kicking it and
- 3:19high geared this year. Season one was excellent, so season two is going
- 3:23to be off the chart to the night show is basically going to be just
- 3:35talking a little bit about some stuff, the direction that we want to go
- 3:38in for season two and just just you know, talking about where where we're
- 3:43heading as humans, as individuals. Where do we want to see ourselves going
- 3:49and the things that we want to achieve and how do we want to achieve
- 3:51it for this year and for beyond. And you know, sometimes we just
- 3:59have to sit back, and I'm realizing that sitting back and meditating and just
- 4:05being at one with yourself, just listening and sometimes you know, taking up
- 4:13that good old pending paper or notebook and just writing and jotting down the things
- 4:19that you're thinking about. It helps to clear your mind, It helps to
- 4:24give you direction, It helps to show you you know where you may have
- 4:30fell short at in certain things. But it also is good to use to
- 4:35show you your growth a person. As an individual. Many times I don't
- 4:43think we sit down and really take the time to see how we grow,
- 4:46how we evolve. With so much in a hurry all the time and wanting
- 4:54to get things done so quick and move and shake and just always on the
- 5:00go. But sometimes just sitting still and listening and just meditating, it helps
- 5:10you to get a clear vision of what you want and who you want to
- 5:15be. And even again, if you believe in the higher power, if
- 5:19you believe in God, you know, it helps you to listen to that
- 5:25small voice to let you know that you're okay, You're gonna be okay,
- 5:30or you know, where you may have felt short, it's all right because
- 5:34you're a human. You know, you just got to pick yourself up and
- 5:39make sure that you're not making the same mistake that you have made in the
- 5:45past. You know, I've noticed that even even just taking my journal and
- 5:51writing, and sometimes we write things that we may not even realize that we
- 5:58had these thoughts in our Sometimes we can write about love, we can write
- 6:03about how we want to feel as sensual beings. We could write about how
- 6:08somebody pissed us off. And I know, for me, sit down sometimes
- 6:14when I sit down and I reread what I write, I'm like, did
- 6:16I really say that? Was I really think that? Like I don't know
- 6:24if that happens to you guys, but that happens to me a lot.
- 6:26Like I'll sit back and I'll read over something that I wrote, and I'm
- 6:30like, oh, my goodness, where was my head at when I was
- 6:35writing? But you know, that's just a good way to distress and detox
- 6:42your mind, detox your thoughts, just let you see. Sometimes just whatever
- 6:49it is, it's just good to write it down. I always tell people
- 6:54your pen is sometimes your best friend. Whether you know it or not.
- 7:00Your pen helps you to release thoughts that you have hidden in your heart.
- 7:06Good evening, tr Va, good evening, shouldn't it your pen is?
- 7:12I always say that pen has some kind of just like magical release to it
- 7:17that once you start writing and you start going, you just flow and the
- 7:23things that come out are just it blows your mind. Sometimes it's just like
- 7:29oh wow, like I said, just now, you'll be like, oh
- 7:30wow, did I really say that? Did I? Am? I really
- 7:34thinking that it will shock you? I know for me, it has definitely
- 7:39shocked me some of the things that I've written, and I'm like, oh
- 7:44wow. I look back and I'm like, my way of thinking has evolved,
- 7:50my thought process. You know, I can see where I've wrote something
- 7:58maybe ten years ago or even a year ago, and I'm like, oh,
- 8:03wow, what headspace was I end when I wrote this? It just
- 8:09it just gives you, like this, this feeling of not gratification. Yes,
- 8:16you're able to release your emotions, but it just gives you this feeling
- 8:20of release when you start to write and when you start to look back on
- 8:24the things that you have written. Sometimes we just don't know. We don't
- 8:31know. We have like all these hidden thoughts inside of us, and we're
- 8:35not able to vocalize them sometimes to people. And we want to be able
- 8:41to vocalize them to people, but sometimes people aren't receptive to hear what we
- 8:46have to say. You know, maybe there's not the right time to say
- 8:50anything. So your best bet is always to write it down. Maybe something
- 8:58it's something that you think that may be a little bit embarrassing, or something
- 9:03it could be an innermost thought that you're not comfortable in sharing, but you
- 9:09desperately want to share it, but you can't share it because you don't know
- 9:13how to share it. Pick up your pen, get your notebook, get
- 9:16your pad, even your phone. We have our phones in our hands all
- 9:22the time. The phones, have the little notepad inside of it, and
- 9:26just start releasing your innormost thoughts that way. I know, for me,
- 9:33when I started to write my book, and like I tell people, my
- 9:37book took me literally about twelve years to write, and during that time period,
- 9:48I went through a different array of thought processes and situations and feelings.
- 9:56And whenever the urge or the hit me, I would pick up my computer,
- 10:03I would pick up my pen, my notebook, and I would just
- 10:07start to flow. And There's been many times where I would just start writing
- 10:11and I would just start releasing that emotion. And by time I'm done,
- 10:18I could probably start, like now it's eight o'clock, eight ten at night,
- 10:22and sometimes I realized that I'm up all night just writing, just letting
- 10:26it go, letting letting those thoughts that I've been bottling up inside, just
- 10:33releasing them. And when you look back on your on your stuff, on
- 10:37your word, it gives you like your and you now put them to a
- 10:43book and you you're able to put it out there for others to read,
- 10:48and people are able to see what you were feeling. You know, sometimes
- 10:52you have people come up to you and say, oh my god, I
- 10:56didn't realize that other people thought the same thing that I was thinking, and
- 11:01you're like really wow, Like for me, that makes me feel like I'm
- 11:07not the only person that has that thought or that's going through that emotion.
- 11:13When I was going through it, it helps me to know that other people
- 11:16think the same way. But now that you're able to put your work out
- 11:20there and people are able to read it and identify with it, it makes
- 11:24it even more special, and it makes it even more satisfying to know that
- 11:31somebody what you did has helped somebody else. You know, And I think
- 11:37in life, that's what our ultimate goal is is we want to help people.
- 11:43We want to be able to reach people where they are. Sometimes people
- 11:46don't have that support system that they need. Sometimes they don't have those people
- 11:54around them, or even if they do have those people around them, sometimes
- 11:58they're not able to say what they want to say. But just align in
- 12:05the story that you're writing, or a quote in the story or something that
- 12:11you say can help them identify and say, Okay, I'm not the only
- 12:16one. There's somebody else that also feels what I feel. Yes, once
- 12:24you start exactly, you never you By the time you are done and you
- 12:30get all of that out of you. You never realize how much time has
- 12:35passed. You just let it flow, and you let it flow naturally.
- 12:39When something like that can't be forced. It has to come natural. When
- 12:43you have the ability to be in tune with your feelings and in tune with
- 12:50the conversation that you want to have or the the how do you say it,
- 12:58not the words, but the message that you want to relay. Time
- 13:03does not hold you back. There's no notion of time. You just let
- 13:11it slow and you let it go because you know, in that instance,
- 13:15when you're working and you're doing what you have to do, because it's so
- 13:18heavy on your heart at times, it just has to you have to get
- 13:22it out by any means necessary. You don't, you're not being conscious of
- 13:28the time. You just want to get it out and you want to put
- 13:33it. You want to put it out there for somebody else to be able
- 13:37to reach it and grasp it and let it minister to them the same way
- 13:41that it is ministering to you. You know, we don't realize how what
- 13:46we say has an effect on people. Some people may see it as a
- 13:52gift, some people may see it as oh, this person just wants to
- 13:58put it out there, to put it out there, But you don't know
- 14:01whose life you're gonna touch. Hey, pe Trees, you don't know whose
- 14:05life you're gonna touch. You don't know where that person is at that moment
- 14:11when you're reading what you have wrote. Many times we sit back and we
- 14:18think that we don't have anything to give, We don't have anything to offer
- 14:22somebody. But we do what we say, how we say it, the
- 14:28way that we look at a person, you know, just as simple the
- 14:33way we say hello to a person. We never know what that person needs
- 14:37at that moment. We're not in their thought process and they may not be
- 14:41able to release the thought process that they have. But just that kind smile
- 14:48or that kind word of hello, or just reading that line, it will
- 14:52help them to be able to release what it is that they have to say.
- 14:58And I find that more and more as we grow in society, and
- 15:03as times are changing and people are getting older, more people day by day
- 15:09we're hearing or going through stuff. We need to be able to share our
- 15:13words with people. We need to be able to give people something that they
- 15:20could say. You know what, when I'm in that time of need where
- 15:24I can't go to somebody else. I have this piece of work that I
- 15:31can pick up and I can flip the pages and I can read a passage,
- 15:35and I know that when I read this passage, it's going to help
- 15:37me to be calm. It's gonna put me in a piece of in a
- 15:39mind where a place where I have a piece of mind. And I think
- 15:45if we do that more, we're be able to see a whole lot more
- 15:50changes. This world is crazy now, if you know, like I know,
- 15:54this world is real crazy, and we need to be able to find
- 15:58a time where we can have a piece of mind. A lot of people
- 16:03don't have that. A lot of people are not in the space, or
- 16:07sometimes they want it but they don't know how to get it. So being
- 16:12able to give people a piece of mind, being able to encourage people,
- 16:18now, I'm more than ever, especially in twenty twenty four. I tell
- 16:22everybody, twenty twenty three was a year that I was like, yeah,
- 16:27no, I'm done. I don't want no parts of it I want to
- 16:30see I don't want to see twenty twenty three ever again. But what I've
- 16:37come to appreciate about it is that there were people that were able to encourage
- 16:42me, and there were people that I was able to encourage, And again,
- 16:48it could have been just a simple word, a simple smile, a
- 16:52simple gesture. I've had people message me and say I've read your book and
- 16:57such and such passion in it. It helped me to overcome certain things that
- 17:03I had buried away for so long, or certain situations that I've been dealing
- 17:10with since childhood. And now that I am an adult, it still bothers
- 17:14me. But I read such and such and the way how you put the
- 17:18words it helped me to put what I was feeling into perspective. So sometimes
- 17:25we just have to when we write, we always have to remember that it's
- 17:30not just for us. It's for the reader. It's for the person that
- 17:37needs that word. It's for the person that is going through some kind of
- 17:41mental anguish at the time but may not know how to deal with it.
- 17:47Be the author, be the spoken word, the person that's doing spoken words,
- 17:53and know that the audience that you have, you have to reach them
- 17:59by enemies necessary, because it could be an audience of people that are really
- 18:02hurting, It could be an audience of people that are in a happy space
- 18:06in their life. It could be anything. We don't know because we're not
- 18:11in that person's mind. So we're gonna take a quick little break and then
- 18:15we're gonna come back, and then we're just gonna I'm just gonna share with
- 18:18you some things that we're gonna be doing on le Chat with Nat for the
- 18:22rest of season two, So we'll be right back. The book A Song
- 18:30for Zupora, written by David Harris, is a powerful historical fiction centering around
- 18:36the life and character of Moses's future wife Zupporah before they met. Book author
- 18:41David Harris brings the reader into the relationship between Moses and Zappora, which was
- 18:45gradual and lush. The story unfolds beautifully when Moses finally acts Upporah to marry
- 18:52him. Purchase your copy of the book detailing this authentic story. A Song
