- 0:00SPEAKER_00: I just don't even want to hear the word no anymore over the stupidest reasons.
- 0:04SPEAKER_01: I it's I get it.
- 0:06SPEAKER_01: I totally get it.
- 0:07SPEAKER_01: And and I'm sorry that it was.
- 0:12SPEAKER_01: You throw yourself so hard into it that it's almost over the top.
- 0:16SPEAKER_01: It's too much of a cheese act.
- 0:18SPEAKER_00: You take the water bottle as your microphone and you start singing every single give me an 80s song.
- 0:25SPEAKER_01: Well, you I'll give you the one that you got the no from when you started singing karma, chameleon, you know, the Karma, Karma, Karma, Karma, Karma, Camellia.
- 0:35SPEAKER_01: And this is where Zach goes, no.
- 0:36SPEAKER_01: No.
- 0:37SPEAKER_01: And it's not, first of all, it's the most campy of 80s songs.
- 0:41SPEAKER_01: And two, you can't just sort of sing along to the chorus.
- 0:44SPEAKER_00: You're just like, Scott seems to think, oh, but he would love Bruce Warnsby.
- 0:50SPEAKER_01: I'm thinking he's an eclectic music guy.
- 0:53SPEAKER_01: He's not your big mainstreamer.
- 0:55SPEAKER_01: Correct.
- 0:55SPEAKER_01: So I'm thinking, all right, he probably likes stuff from the 80s because he claims that he hates all 80s songs.
- 1:00SPEAKER_01: And I'm like, no, no, you can nobody can claim that.
- 1:02SPEAKER_00: And I'm thinking you like it, you think everyone else likes it?
- 1:05SPEAKER_00: I'm always right.
- 1:06SPEAKER_01: Uh but you know, I'm thinking, okay, maybe he likes stuff that's not as Madonna or uh Karma Camellia.
- 1:13SPEAKER_01: You know, he likes more like the Hornsby or the level 42.
- 1:17SPEAKER_01: The Phil Collins.
- 1:18SPEAKER_00: So I asked him, uh, do you like Bruce Hornsby at least when it comes to 80s music?
- 1:23SPEAKER_00: He goes, Can I no comment on Hornsby?
- 1:25SPEAKER_00: Meaning he doesn't like it.
- 1:27SPEAKER_01: Oh, I look at that as though uh no, he'd have to backpedal on saying he doesn't like 80s music and he actually likes Hornsby.
- 1:35SPEAKER_00: Well now.
- 1:36SPEAKER_01: Who, by the way, was at that winery uh like two years, three or five years ago.
- 1:40SPEAKER_01: Point of the bluff.
- 1:41SPEAKER_01: Point of the bluff, yes.
- 1:42SPEAKER_01: Yes.
- 1:42SPEAKER_01: Speaking of which, and then we're off this because we got other things we have to do.
- 1:46SPEAKER_01: There was a sad thing.
- 1:46SPEAKER_01: Tiffany just sent me this.
- 1:48SPEAKER_01: So I think one one of the big artists of the 80s, Huey Lewis.
- 1:54SPEAKER_01: I mean, this guy, you know, he not only did he perform a ton, he wrote for everybody.
- 2:01SPEAKER_00: I cannot believe you didn't play the best one.
- 2:03SPEAKER_01: This is the best one.
- 2:05SPEAKER_00: No! The heart of rock and roll is in Cleveland.
- 2:08SPEAKER_00: No, that's cheesy! This is not cheesy.
- 2:11SPEAKER_00: Albert!
- 2:14SPEAKER_01: Okay, curious.
- 2:15SPEAKER_01: Need to keep it calm.
- 2:16SPEAKER_00: You know whose favorite?
- 2:18SPEAKER_00: Or whose thing?
- 2:19SPEAKER_00: Let me do that again.
- 2:20SPEAKER_00: You know who loves him?
- 2:23SPEAKER_00: Gail Payne.
- 2:24SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 2:24SPEAKER_01: It's her favorite.
- 2:26SPEAKER_01: And uh, and the thing about it is, he's damn near deaf.
- 2:29SPEAKER_01: He can't even hear the music that he well made famous.
- 2:33SPEAKER_01: Now, this song, obviously, Back to the Future.
- 2:37SPEAKER_01: Yes, okay, yes, huge movie in the 80s, right?
- 2:40SPEAKER_01: Every I mean it was a a lifestyle.
- 2:42SPEAKER_00: When you're around music that much and it's constantly in your ears without any kind of ear protection, you're probably gonna lose your hearing.
- 2:51SPEAKER_00: My dad also has like very compromised hearing because of that.
- 2:55SPEAKER_00: He was a drummer for so long.
- 2:56SPEAKER_01: That'll do it.
- 2:58SPEAKER_01: Okay, so poor Huey.
- 2:59SPEAKER_01: And by the way, just proving my point.
- 3:02SPEAKER_01: Cheesy.
- 3:03SPEAKER_01: Look at you, look at you! Look at you! You can't even sit there! Can't even sit! I love this! You can't! Alright, so I got a question for you.
- 3:10SPEAKER_00: Oh, wait, okay, okay, and then I have one other thing that I want to mention.
- 3:12SPEAKER_01: Well, go ahead, mention yours because my question will take you to a place.
- 3:15SPEAKER_00: This is my mom's favorite.
- 3:19SPEAKER_00: Um, this is my mom's favorite.
- 3:20SPEAKER_00: Good vibes for Gail today.
- 3:22SPEAKER_00: She's having surgery on her back today.
- 3:24SPEAKER_01: Oh, she's finally getting that fixed.
- 3:25SPEAKER_01: Yes.
- 3:26SPEAKER_00: Yeah, so at 8 30 this morning, Gil pain will be under the knife.
- 3:29SPEAKER_00: Wow.
- 3:30SPEAKER_00: So, yeah, if you guys could give good vibes to my mom today.
- 3:32SPEAKER_01: Let's do it.
- 3:33SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 3:33SPEAKER_01: Uh, all right, so now here's my card.
- 3:35SPEAKER_01: This is where my weird brain goes.
- 3:37SPEAKER_01: Oh, here.
- 3:38SPEAKER_01: Sorry.
- 3:41SPEAKER_01: They say the hobby on the roll is to be.
- 3:44SPEAKER_01: Alright, so uh the listen.
- 3:46SPEAKER_01: Enough of that now.
- 3:47SPEAKER_01: In other words, no.
- 3:48SPEAKER_01: Simmer down now.
- 3:50SPEAKER_01: So if you could have a time machine, I would go back to about 1985.
- 3:57SPEAKER_01: Around this, around this era, you know?
- 3:59SPEAKER_01: And because the music sort of puts you in a place.
- 4:02SPEAKER_01: If you had a time machine, could you roll by your house?
- 4:06SPEAKER_01: Now remember, you have to remember the laws of time.
- 4:09SPEAKER_01: You cannot get out and interact with yourself because you would create a paradox which would end the universe.
- 4:14SPEAKER_01: Learn that from Doctor Who.
- 4:16SPEAKER_00: I would say this is so Doctor Who.
- 4:19SPEAKER_01: You cannot do that, but you could go observe unnoticed.
- 4:23SPEAKER_01: Like, in other words, think about this.
- 4:26SPEAKER_01: I want you to take everyone that's listening right now, take a look around you.
- 4:29SPEAKER_01: You're seeing SUVs.
- 4:30SPEAKER_01: They weren't around in the 80s.
- 4:32SPEAKER_01: I mean, you had the Bronco, but you know, they weren't like what they were.
- 4:35SPEAKER_01: I mean, like 99.9% of vehicles on the road.
- 4:38SPEAKER_01: They're they're pickup trucks or SUVs.
- 4:40SPEAKER_01: You had a Fierro, you had an old Mustang, you had these old cars.
- 4:45SPEAKER_01: So I want you to think you suddenly are transported into an old vehicle that you, you're younger, you would not recognize on the street.
- 4:53SPEAKER_01: And would you, the question is, would you drive by your house and maybe sit a little bit further back, not in a creepy way, but just unnoticed, and watch yourself?
- 5:03SPEAKER_01: Or do you not want to see that because it would be too hard to not get out of the car and go, do not do this at 21.
- 5:10SPEAKER_01: You know what I mean?
- 5:11SPEAKER_00: I definitely would want to watch myself.
- 5:12SPEAKER_01: You'd want to watch yourself.
- 5:14SPEAKER_00: Yeah, yeah.
- 5:14SPEAKER_00: I think I I mean I made some mistakes, but I also But you can't help right the wrongs.
- 5:21SPEAKER_01: They're still yet to come.
- 5:23SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 5:23SPEAKER_01: Remember the whole paradox thing I told you right here.
- 5:25SPEAKER_01: You could do universe ending.
- 5:27SPEAKER_01: Here's why I don't think I could do it.
- 5:28SPEAKER_01: And I think that uh and this is gonna be a real emotional answer, but uh well, at least I'm not crying yet.
- 5:36SPEAKER_01: Okay, but here's the reason for it.
- 5:37SPEAKER_01: Like, let's say I drove past 41 Patton Place, Williamsville, New York, and it's 1986, or say, you know, what say Evan.
- 5:45SPEAKER_01: Uh, and you know, all of a sudden I saw my mom or my dad or both of them walking out the door, even with younger me.
- 5:51SPEAKER_01: I lost my parents in the early 90s.
- 5:53SPEAKER_01: They both passed a year apart from each other, so they've been gone well over 30 years.
- 5:58SPEAKER_01: I don't think I'd I don't think I could see that.
- 6:00SPEAKER_01: I w I mean part of me wants to, but then there's a part of me that's like, what is that gonna bring up?
- 6:06SPEAKER_00: That's why when people do the robots of their loved ones, the AI voices, the all of that.
- 6:13SPEAKER_00: That I don't understand because like what you're saying right now, you you you can't see it.
- 6:19SPEAKER_00: Now, I I I think I could see my parents, but I'm saying this as well, your parents are still alive.
- 6:24SPEAKER_01: You would just see them in a little bit younger of an era.
- 6:26SPEAKER_01: Right.
- 6:26SPEAKER_01: Which I think would be adorable.
- 6:28SPEAKER_01: Which sure.
- 6:29SPEAKER_01: And and you'd probably notice things.
- 6:30SPEAKER_01: Well, they're probably exactly the same, all over each other.
- 6:33SPEAKER_00: But you know all over each other.
- 6:35SPEAKER_00: Gail's yelling at me.
- 6:36SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 6:36SPEAKER_01: She's got a Hold on, I gotta make out with your dad, but get in the car.
- 6:41SPEAKER_01: I mean, really, it hasn't changed.
