Matthew 8: The Authority of the King
In Matthew 8, Jesus comes down from the mountain after teaching the principles of the Kingdom—and immediately begins demonstrating the power and authority of the King.
He cleanses a leper no one else would touch. He heals a centurion’s servant from a distance. He restores Peter’s mother-in-law, commands sickness to leave, calms a violent storm, and delivers men held captive by demonic forces.
