- 0:02When we respond to a situation, either at the physical level,
- 0:06the vital level or the mental level, we open a pathway for
- 0:11that vibration to impact us in some way.
- 0:14And having once been accepted for admittance, it creates A
- 0:18propensity for us to admit it the next time it comes our way.
- 0:23In this way, a habit of response is built up.
- 0:27This idea is validated by scientists who track neural
- 0:31pathways and who indicate that a repeated experience builds up
- 0:35grooves in the pathways of the brain, which allow impulses to
- 0:40traverse them more quickly and easily.
- 0:43That is why with repeated experience, we respond more
- 0:47quickly than if we have something new to deal with.
- 0:51We use this mechanism to advantage when we are doing any
- 0:54kind of training of the mind, the vital force or the body.
- 0:59But it works also in a negative direction when we find that we
- 1:03have an habitual response to a particular form of bodily
- 1:07vibration in the form of an illness or allergy, or an
- 1:12automatic reaction of anger. When certain specific types of
- 1:17circumstances arise or we have a mental response that is limited
- 1:23and potentially counterproductive when a
- 1:26specific idea is put forth. All of these reactions or
- 1:32habitual responses occur due to a mechanism that stores,
- 1:36experiences, memories, reactions in the very cells of the body,
- 1:43and they lie there, inert and latent, until a triggering
- 1:47opportunity arises. Yogic science calls these
- 1:51suppressed impressions seeds, and they just need a fertile
- 1:55circumstance to sprout up. It is our normal habit to
- 2:00suppress reactions with our conscious mental will or vital
- 2:04force, rather than to actually take steps to work through the
- 2:08issues and then eliminate them. Thus, we tend to have a large
- 2:12store room filled with suppressed ideas, feelings,
- 2:16emotions, perceptions, and reactions that in many cases
- 2:21represent traumas that we re enact from time to time.
- 2:26To fully eliminate such suppressed responses, we not
- 2:30only have to be able to work them out and eliminate them, but
- 2:34we need to close off the pathway that was receptive to them,
- 2:38either by refocusing that location or by blocking it off.
- 2:45The vibration from the wider environment still has its own
- 2:48habit that indicates a specific location or individual is
- 2:52receptive and will continue to try to enter there until such
- 2:57time as it gets the firm message of non interest and thus moves
- 3:03on from the individual's environment.
- 3:06Because of the number of steps involved and the role of the
- 3:10environmental consciousness in addition to the action of the
- 3:14subconscient, this can be a long and tedious process.
- 3:19Because these things tend to remain dormant until a
- 3:23triggering opportunity arises. We may believe that we have
- 3:27conquered a particular response and be surprised when it
- 3:32suddenly springs up again, possibly years later.
- 3:36There are stories of religious or spiritual aspirants who spend
- 3:40years in a monastery or cloister, or meditating in a
- 3:44cave, or living an ascetic life in the desert, who find out when
- 3:50they wind up interacting in a social setting, The things they
- 3:54thought were long gone actually manifest with a force that they
- 3:59had not expected, the mother observes.
- 4:03Quote. But when you have had either an
- 4:06experience or like this, some kind of phenomenon or an
- 4:10illness, above all, in the case of illness or even an accident,
- 4:15the body remembers for a very long time.
- 4:19If you want to be completely cured, you must cure this memory
- 4:22in the body. This is absolutely
- 4:25indispensable, and whether you know it or not, you work in
- 4:30order to cure the memory of the body.
- 4:32When the remembrance is effaced, the body is truly healed.
- 4:38Unfortunately, instead of destroying the remembrance, you
- 4:41push it back. Most of the time you push it
- 4:44down into the subconscient, and sometimes into the inconscience,
- 4:49still more deep. Well, now if it is pushed back,
- 4:53if it, if it is not completely effaced, then very gently, very
- 4:58gently, without seeming to do so at all, it comes up to the
- 5:03surface and something of which you have been cured for years.
- 5:08If by chance it crosses your mind simply like that, just like
- 5:12a little dart. As fast as that, like a passing
- 5:16dart. Why, at this time I had that you
- 5:21may be sure that sooner or later, a few seconds, a few
- 5:25minutes, a few hours or days later, it will return.
- 5:31You can, it may come back in a much milder form, It may come
- 5:36back in the same form. It may come even more strongly.
- 5:41That depends on your inner state.
- 5:44If you are in a pessimistic state, it will come back more
- 5:47strongly. If you are in an optimistic
- 5:50state, it will be much weaker, but it will come back and you
- 5:55will have to begin the battle all over again against the
- 5:59memory of your body so as to destroy it.
- 6:02If this time you are more attentive.
- 6:05If you can destroy it, you are cured.
- 6:08But if you don't destroy it, it will return.
- 6:12It will take a longer or shorter time.
- 6:15It will be more or less total, but it will return.
- 6:19It can come back in a flash if you are wide awake.
- 6:23And when it returns, if you have enough knowledge and indeed
- 6:27enough clear sightedness to tell yourself, well, here is that
- 6:31wretched remembrance. Come back again to play its
- 6:34tricks. Then you can give can strike a
- 6:38violent blow and indeed destroy its reality.
- 6:42If you know how to do this, then it is an opportunity to get rid
- 6:47of the thing immediately. But it is not very easy to do
- 6:51this. End Quote Reference Sri
