- 0:00Speaker 1: Come on, uh huh, I sure will. Good morning everybody.
- 0:06Speaker 1: You're listening to the voice, Come on, dig me now,
- 0:09Speaker 1: one and only Steve Harvey got a radio show. Well,
- 0:13Speaker 1: nothing changes about that. Nothing changes about that. Man. I
- 0:19Speaker 1: was just getting ready to come on the air this morning.
- 0:24Speaker 1: I was just thinking, Man, I was just having a
- 0:27Speaker 1: reflective moment of just how really good God has been
- 0:32Speaker 1: to me. I just it's it's it's man, Let me
- 0:38Speaker 1: just say that again, how really good God has been
- 0:41Speaker 1: to me. And here's a cold part. In spite of myself,
- 0:47Speaker 1: you understand, in spite of all my shortcomings, in spite
- 0:52Speaker 1: of all of my flaws, and and and and in
- 0:56Speaker 1: spite of all of what anybody has said about me, God,
- 1:02Speaker 1: through his grace and mercy, just keeps me anyway. So
- 1:06Speaker 1: many of us are exceptional people, but we refuse to
- 1:14Speaker 1: just go ahead and be exceptional. We settle for the ordinary.
- 1:21Speaker 1: We follow the pack. We try to fit in. Man,
- 1:26Speaker 1: oh man, oh man. You know I've heard my wife
- 1:28Speaker 1: say this to my children all the time. When she's
- 1:31Speaker 1: scold him or talking to him, She'll be talking to
- 1:33Speaker 1: him about leadership. You know, why are you following everybody
- 1:37Speaker 1: when God clearly made you to lead. So many of
- 1:40Speaker 1: us are born, and so many of you are born
- 1:43Speaker 1: to be exceptional people, but we always trying to follow
- 1:48Speaker 1: the pack. Why would you try to fit in? Why
- 1:52Speaker 1: would you try to be like everybody else be ordinary?
- 1:58Speaker 1: Why would you follow the pack when God has created
- 2:01Speaker 1: you to be exceptional? The key word in exceptional is
- 2:06Speaker 1: except you. Ever you ever dine this right here? You
- 2:10Speaker 1: know everybody did that accept me. Everybody felt that way
- 2:15Speaker 1: except me. Everybody said that except me. Everybody won't wanted that,
- 2:22Speaker 1: accept me. Everybody went over there except me. Everybody jumped
- 2:28Speaker 1: in except me except me. See why have you said
- 2:34Speaker 1: that in your life? If you were not to be exceptional?
- 2:39Speaker 1: See you got to say everybody except me at one
- 2:41Speaker 1: point in YO to I don't know who ain't done it?
- 2:44Speaker 1: You know everybody wanted everybody voted no except me. See,
- 2:50Speaker 1: so you're not You're not created to follow the pack.
- 2:53Speaker 1: You ain't created to fit in. You ain't created to,
- 2:57Speaker 1: uh you know, to be ordinary. You will create it
- 3:00Speaker 1: to be exceptional. As exceptional as your fingerprint on your
- 3:04Speaker 1: finger is. You wire created to be exceptional. Why not
- 3:08Speaker 1: make this the year that you go head on and
- 3:12Speaker 1: be exceptional. Why won't this be the year that you
- 3:16Speaker 1: decide in your mind? But just has to be a
- 3:19Speaker 1: decision that we make. Now we not following the pack
- 3:22Speaker 1: no more. We not trying to fit in no more.
- 3:25Speaker 1: We ain't settling for ordinary no more. We're gonna be exceptional.
- 3:30Speaker 1: But you know you got to go ahead and follow that.
- 3:33Speaker 1: You got to get on the exceptional path, because that's
- 3:35Speaker 1: what you were created for. Why be ordinary? You know?
- 3:39Speaker 1: But all of this this comes, it has to start
- 3:42Speaker 1: with a thought. You got to first think something. Thoughts
- 3:47Speaker 1: become things. A man is as he thinketh. That's all
- 3:52Speaker 1: you will ever be. So what are your thoughts today?
- 3:55Speaker 1: Why not have exceptional thoughts instead of ordinary thoughts? Why
- 3:59Speaker 1: not have exceptional thoughts instead of fitting me in thoughts?
- 4:03Speaker 1: So why you want to be like everybody else? Why
- 4:06Speaker 1: you want to be ordinary when you could possibly be
- 4:08Speaker 1: extraordinary with a change of your mind, a change of
- 4:12Speaker 1: your venue, And you don't have to be any other
- 4:15Speaker 1: kind of way? Just because my mama was this, well,
- 4:18Speaker 1: my daddy was this way, or this, this school I
- 4:21Speaker 1: went to? This? What race I belong to? This is
- 4:24Speaker 1: my sexual preference, this is my this, this is my dad?
- 4:27Speaker 1: How many, How many? How many excuses you need? I mean,
- 4:31Speaker 1: I'm any excuse? What? What? What? What's it gonna be
- 4:33Speaker 1: this year that we let another three hundred and sixty
- 4:37Speaker 1: five days slip by without improving our condition, our place,
- 4:41Speaker 1: our spot, our life, the quality of life we have.
- 4:46Speaker 1: We cannot afford to keep letting all these years go
- 4:51Speaker 1: by without changing. You're an exceptional person. How many times
- 4:58Speaker 1: have you set up and said, everybody that accept me?
- 5:02Speaker 1: You know I was only everybody jumped in except me.
- 5:07Speaker 1: I told him I knew it. Everybody voted for that
- 5:09Speaker 1: except me. And now look at it, man, it seemed
- 5:13Speaker 1: like everybody went that way except me. Okay, do you
- 5:19Speaker 1: get it? Do you understand what's being said to you
- 5:24Speaker 1: that all accept me is? Because couldn't it be? Because
- 5:27Speaker 1: you're an exceptional person? And it's time for you to
- 5:30Speaker 1: take control of that. It's time for you to start
- 5:33Speaker 1: thinking different. It's time for you to start acting on
- 5:36Speaker 1: what you think. It's time for you to start doing
- 5:38Speaker 1: something about it. It's time for you to stop taking
- 5:41Speaker 1: each and every day that God gives us for granted
- 5:44Speaker 1: and letting them go by the wayside like you got
- 5:46Speaker 1: plenty more. Well, you may have plenty more. But guess
- 5:50Speaker 1: what what you wasting the ones you got for? I
- 5:54Speaker 1: got you young, and you feel like you're gonna live forever.
- 5:57Speaker 1: Eh okay, cool, But let me ask you something. See
- 6:00Speaker 1: here go the part about it. I supose you do live?
- 6:04Speaker 1: See see, everybody worried about dying. But I got news
- 6:07Speaker 1: for you. Suppose you keep on living. You want to
- 6:10Speaker 1: keep living in the condition you in now. You want
- 6:12Speaker 1: to keep living with the money you got now. You
- 6:14Speaker 1: want to keep living with the relationship you got now.
- 6:17Speaker 1: You want to keep living by yourself like you are now.
- 6:20Speaker 1: You want to keep wanting the right relationship, the right
- 6:23Speaker 1: man to the right woman, but you keep getting the
- 6:25Speaker 1: wrong one. You want to keep doing that for the
- 6:27Speaker 1: rest of your life. Problem ain't dying. There's problem is
- 6:30Speaker 1: if you keep on living. Who wants to keep on
- 6:33Speaker 1: living just the way they are right now? And if
- 6:36Speaker 1: you could say, I'm cool, what I am? Just the
- 6:38Speaker 1: way I am right now? In cool? This conversation ain't
- 6:40Speaker 1: for you. Ain't got no problem with that. You know
- 6:44Speaker 1: you know what I say. Greatness ain't for everybody being exceptional.
- 6:48Speaker 1: Ain't for everybody becoming extraordinary. Ain't for everybody heck, becoming
- 6:53Speaker 1: successful ain't fut everybody. I got it. And you can
- 6:57Speaker 1: come up with a way to justify your non existence
- 7:00Speaker 1: in your ordinary life all you want, and that's fine
- 7:03Speaker 1: and dandy. I ain't got no problem with it. Because
- 7:05Speaker 1: some people just gonna be regular. Some people just gonna
- 7:09Speaker 1: follow the pack, follow the crowd. Some people just wants
- 7:12Speaker 1: to fit in. But if you're not that person, if
- 7:15Speaker 1: you want to be extraordinary, if you want to be exceptional,
- 7:19Speaker 1: if you want to be if you want a dad
- 7:21Speaker 1: to be great at something, and you got to change
- 7:23Speaker 1: your mindset. You got to get what your creator and
- 7:26Speaker 1: find out what he created you for. You got to
- 7:29Speaker 1: quit thinking of things just in your own thought process.
- 7:32Speaker 1: You know, lean not to your own understanding. I don't
- 7:35Speaker 1: know where that is, but it's in there somewhere. Seeing
- 7:37Speaker 1: Once you lean, if you lean to your own understanding,
- 7:41Speaker 1: you know what it's gonna do. It's gonna limit you, man,
- 7:43Speaker 1: it's gonna limit you. Why not see what God got
- 7:47Speaker 1: for you? I would rather know what God got for
- 7:49Speaker 1: me than to think of all the things I could
- 7:52Speaker 1: because I can't out think him out and tried it before.
- 7:55Speaker 1: All right, it's just the beginning we're gonna have a
- 7:57Speaker 1: good one man. Let's go. You're listening, Easy to Seed
