  reviewing today? We are going to be reviewing the first book of many,

  not in order, by the way, I'm not going to do over sixty

  episodes of this at once. But we are reading the Legends of Drifts du

  Urd in Homeland. Yeah. Actually I managine to finish reading this book yesterday,

  so I know everything and I know nothing. So the Legend of Adritz
• 5:44
  is basically a book series that is based in the Forgotten Realm, which is
• 5:50
  the D and D world usually consists of like the Sword, Coast Ice,
• 5:57
  wind Dale, so on and so forth. That's another episode for another time,

  because that's a lot of lore within it. But we are following a
• 6:08
  dark elf named dRIT Stewart in and his adventures what these books are going to
• 6:15
  be about. And I'm super excited because I had watch I have looked at
• 6:23
  these books for years. A little backstory. I have been playing Dungeons and
• 6:30
  Dragons since I was about thirteen. I am almost thirty now. I just
• 6:33
  turned twenty nine, so I have been in the world with D D for
• 6:39
  a very, very long a very long time. I got deeper into it
• 6:46
  in the past five years because of friends asking me to play. And I
• 6:53
  had always seen them on the shelves, you know, but I had never
• 6:57
  been one to like go and like pick it up. I was more into
• 7:00
  like, gosh, like Hunger Games and and and those like books like that.

  Hunger Games matched uh uh Cirk to Freak though, those those books,
• 7:15
  those are the ones that I spent a lot of time reading back in the
• 7:18
  day. So I and uh, speaking of circ to Freak really quick,
• 7:23
  we will be reviewing that, maybe not in the media future. Oh good

  series. Great series. I love the manga of them. I've never hated
• 7:32
  the ending. Oh of course, everybody hated the ending. That was not
• 7:36
  in anybody wanted. I was. I was crying in history class. I
• 7:43
  was like, oh yeah, I was. I just like I put the

  damn book. I had put that damn book down, and I just sat
• 7:49
  there like what the fuck? Like I was in the library too, and

  I just kind of went like sat it out loud, like what the fuck?

  Oh yeah, No, I finished the book series before one of my

  friends did. And then she finished it and she goes she comes up to

  me, she goes why, and I was like, I can't tell you,

  dude, I'm sorry. And I was like, oh, you finished

  it, Oh, so you heard about so, and so She's like,

  I hate this. I was like, yeah, anyway, so but when

  I'll read the twelve Onlume manga, but I'll read up to a certain point

  of like we're book one is because I don't know. I don't know if

  it's the one novel. I would figure I was obviously I would figure

  that out. I would read from that point I read. I don't know

  if the manga would cover like the books. I don't know. I know

  there's I'm looking up right now because I'm trying to figure out they ever did?

  It ran for three years and they did collective of twelve decently sized volumes.

  I just don't know if it compiles of the same story or that would

  be something I would look into. But nonetheless, Okay, So I picked

  up the book and I immediately found off. I didn't. I picked up

  the physical books like three years ago, never found the time to actually read

  it physically. But when I got really into working out, whenever I was

  like lifting weights that was like my time to listen to the book. So

  like whenever I was doing my reps and stuff, that's whenever I would listen

  to the story. And I actually looked forward to working out more because it

  was a chance for me to listen to this story. This book came out
• 9:50
  in September of nineteen ninety. It came out the original. The original came

  out in nineteen ninety. It was a paperback. There's three hundred and fourteen,

  uh pages. And then whenever it went to hardcover in two thousand and

  four, it went to three fifty two, right, and the go ahead,

  go ahead, Yeah, so those are gonna say, Like I personally

  bought the compendium. So it has like the first three books in the legend

  Sojiourn, Sojourn or something like that. Then after that it would go to

  the Icelandale trilogy, and like I said, there's like over sixty books.

  it's like the Forgotten Realms, right, all part of the Forgotten Realms stuff.

  a quick Note's just to like give you guys an idea for those of you

  who are not like big on like D and D and like the lore behind
• 12:52
  the different races of valves, including the drought or Dark Elves. Drought Society
• 12:56
  most mostly dwells in the under dark, which is this bag, which is

  this huge labyrinth of underground tunnels. And sometimes they these tunnels expand into giant
• 13:07
  caverns, and many of the different races of the under dark wol build entire
• 13:13
  cities in these caverns, and I do a guard. There's goblins like dark
• 13:18
  like I don't know what the goblins are called, but there's a certain brand
• 13:22
  goblins, and there's yep. And the story does take place in Menzo Brenson,
• 13:31
  which is the HM. I was going to get to that, yeah,

  yeah, no, I'm just like, like, I just want to
• 13:39
  like preface this by saying that DRAW society is very not only matriarchal, but
• 13:45
  it's also evil, like just point blank, because they most of them worship
• 13:48
  the spider goddess Loaf Loaf, who is a dark who is a dark demonic

  goddess Jesus Spider Queen. Yep. So sorry, sorry, So the book

  starts of the night that Dritz is being born from Maitri and mother Malice,

  and Zachnaphane is his father, but you don't learn about that un til later.

  While this is happening, the House of Durdan is also in the process
• 14:24
  of taking out House Devere a little bit background knowledge about men's own Baronson.

  There are different ruling houses. I think there's like eight top houses, and
• 14:37
  if you eradicate one of the houses and there's no evidence that this family has
• 14:43
  attacked the house, then you kind of get off scott free. So as
• 14:48
  long as everybody's dead within the family and there's no one who could say,
• 14:52
  like, well they attacked me, then they're all like, well, oh
• 14:58
  well it didn't happen. Yeah, they turned their back to it. They're
• 15:01
  like, anyway, the new seventh houses now house third in basically, so
• 15:07
  I think Durden actually rose to the ninth house. Yeah, they were,
• 15:11
  they were well, Matron Malice was trying to get higher up in the line
• 15:18
  of power. That's gonna be her goal. That's like the common goal that
• 15:24
  she has throughout the series. Dritz is the third male born of Matron of
• 15:33
  Matron Malice, and by draw laws, he should have been sacrificed two loth
• 15:41
  But however, the second son, Dinnin, killed his his older brother,
• 15:52
  which makes technically makes Dritz the second son, which basically freaking saved his life.

  And whenever he was born, he was they found out that he had
• 16:06
  like very unique looking eyes this parent like they were lavender and bright and extremely
• 16:12
  rare. So they took that as a very good sign a blessing from Wolf
• 16:21
  that Dritz was born. And meanwhile, while all of this is happening,
• 16:27
  and the House of do Orden is attacking the House of de Vere there's a
• 16:33
  wizard named Alton and he is attacked by what's who's known as the Faceless and
• 16:44
  the facest One works for he was working for do Orden at the time.

  The Yeah, So just just to clarify, like the faceless One is actually
• 17:00
  the uh he's basically like the head master of the Uh. Yeah, he's
• 17:07
  the There's an academy in Menzo Baranson where all drought, all drought go to
• 17:12
  and it has like three different houses, one for fighters, one for clerics,
• 17:18
  and one for wizards or the House Sorcer and that and the faces one
• 17:22
  is like the head master of the House sorcer. So it's ran by it
• 17:29
  was ran by House Hannette, and I know for sure House Hannett's one of
• 17:36
  them. And then there was Gosh, I'm trying to remember who the other
• 17:42
  one. So like the House He's explained later whenever. He's actually in the
• 17:48
  school though, so right, but like he gets attacked by he's part of
• 17:56
  the Hannette family. Alton div gets attacked by a Gilroy Hannette, who is
• 18:02
  also known as the Faces and he is the head master sorcerer in the School
• 18:10
  of Mages Mages in menzel Baron. But Alton is saved by another Hannette Mace.

  I can't pronounce the name Massage Massage, I don't. We'll go with
• 18:25
  that, yeah, Massage Hannette, who is the younger brother of Garus and
• 18:34
  an apprenticed sorcerer, and he kills his brother with a crossbow and he turned
• 18:44
  the weapon onto Alton, and Alton is basically a house this mage, and
• 18:49
  he basically made a bargain saying like, hey, like I'll take the face
• 18:56
  of the faceless one's identity and become a mentor for you, like teach you
• 19:02
  how to become a better mage. And everything and and we can, you
• 19:11
  know, just pretend like nothing ever happened. And so Massage Massage accepts it,
• 19:19
  and he goes, okay, we can do that. But to make
• 19:23
  sure that this illusion is complete, he like grabs some acid and like burns
• 19:30
  Alton's face and becomes a new faceless one, and he begins to plan his
• 19:38
  revenge against how how Stewardan because he's literally the last one survived, like that
• 19:47
  survived. Yeah, so house doeart Doerty managed to completely wipe out how severe
• 19:53
  the thing is, though Alton didn't know which house was responsible for the destruction
• 19:59
  of his own. So he spends like the next thirty years, like what
• 20:03
  was it, like twenty years or so twenty yeah, next start school whenever
• 20:07
  he's twenty years old. Yeah so yeah, so he spends the next twenty
• 20:12
  plus years trying to figure out which house was responsible for the destruction of his
• 20:17
  own and yeah. So another thing I wanted to point out is that like
• 20:26
  since most drought, like most of drought, society worships the spider. The
• 20:32
  spider Queen Loull. She's very she's very contentious, and she loves to play
• 20:37
  around with her subjects. So sometimes if you do. If her subjects do
• 20:41
  something to piss her off or to go out of favor, like you know,
• 20:45
  something she doesn't like, they will fall from from her favor and that's
• 20:49
  what leaves them open for attack. So the reason why, Yeah, there
• 20:56
  was something that at the house Devere did that was not in the favor of
• 21:00
  Loff and that's what was basically the downfall, or that's what they believe anyway,
• 21:07
  Yeah, and Durden uh took advantage of that and they attacked. So
• 21:15
  for the first few years of Drid's life, Uh, he was cared for
• 21:19
  by his sister Bianna Matre Malice had no interest in like the raising this child,
• 21:32
  and Bianna is taught that he has an inferior place amongst Gild society because
• 21:38
  he is male, and if he talks back to like any of the females,
• 21:45
  he gets basically beaten and like it's it's rough for a male drought.
• 21:51
  During that time, Drits is mostly assigned like cleaning task or in the private
• 21:57
  temple of Lof and he was determined to complete these tasks down to the point
• 22:04
  of like exhaustion. He was very very stubborn and there was points in like
• 22:12
  the cleaning where they're like, oh, well you have like the top of
• 22:15
  the statue. He's like, well, I don't know how the fuck to
• 22:17
  get up there, and they're like, you better fucking figure it out.
• 22:21
  And that's whenever he learned that draw all share this ability to levitate, and
• 22:27
  he was able to master it at a very very very young age, and
• 22:33
  he was cleaning and it like like boggled everybody's mind and it basically set him
• 22:40
  apart from everybody else. It does flash forward to whenever he is sixteen,
• 22:49
  and that's whenever he meets Zacnophane, and Zacnophane is like the renowned weapons master,
• 22:59
  but he's not. He's also Drit's real father, but he is not
• 23:04
  the current house patron. So Major Malice went and you know, did what
• 23:11
  she does best and be a bitch and cheated on her husband. But to
• 23:15
  be fair, they don't really have feelings for even their own kind, so
• 23:22
  whenever they but Dritz doesn't know this, and Zachnaphane has basically been ordered to
• 23:30
  not reveal that he is Drit's father, but he has now been admitted to
• 23:38
  the Second Boy and is now going to be trained by Zack Naphane. You
• 23:48
  know, it's very honorable, and Zachnaphane is very kind hearted and like immediate
• 23:53
  liking to Dritz. He formed a very good bond of companionship, which Malice
• 24:00
  got mad as zach Navane for he was like, no, that's not wise,
• 24:04
  you shouldn't do this, and like he just continued to train him throughout
• 24:14
  the years and they just got closer and closer and originally sorry really quick originally
• 24:22
  major and Malice wanted Driss to pursue wizardry, so he was going to be
• 24:29
  originally sensed the academy for like magic and stuff like that. But zach Naphane
• 24:34
  made pleaded like pleted this case against that idea and said that no, Drifts
• 24:40
  should be a fighter, and he proved it by having drifts performed several very
• 24:44
  like like basically he had to flip a coin. Yeah, I was,
• 24:51
  I was going to get to that. I was, I was getna do
• 24:53
  that. So like in front of the Matron mother and other of the Jordan
• 24:59
  Noble did prove that he was more agile and had better hand eye cornation the
• 25:06
  blade, proving Malice's original idea for him studying magic wrong. And that's whenever
• 25:12
  zach Nafane took Drits and to the training hall and started to train him more.
• 25:19
  Zac Nafane also showed him the armory and Drix was like amazed by all
• 25:26
  the different weapons that there were, and and he I think he was able
• 25:32
  to choose, like, oh, choose like what you want to use my
• 25:34
  voice, and he chose the seminary, the Dual Semitary. And so for
• 25:40
  the next three years, zac Nafane started training Drits and developing his skills and
• 25:45
  taught him how to think creatively and fighting situations, training his muscles to basically
• 25:51
  like it's second nature, like he doesn't even have to think whenever it comes
• 25:55
  down to how he moves, and and zach Naphane was very he insisted that
• 26:08
  that he has to improvise, like like he has to be good at improvising,
• 26:17
  because that's what makes a skilled warrior, because you're never going to know
• 26:21
  the next move. So you could train your body to move as much as
• 26:25
  you can and have automatical reactions, but if you can't improvise in a fight,
• 26:29
  then you're not going to be a skilled warrior. And throughout the years
• 26:34
  he did develop the dual welding fighting side, which was extremely common. But
• 26:41
  he became extremely talented for his age, like you know whenever you're in school,
• 26:48
  and like the teachers were like, oh yeah, they should be in
• 26:52
  GT the gifted and talented classes. That's basically Dritz. He was a gifted
• 26:56
  intelligence. Near the ending of his training, Zachnaphane, in one of the
• 27:07
  lesser houses of menzo Enzone, went to attack another house and it was unsuccessful,
• 27:15
  and Dritz joined his family and the other nobles to witness the ruling with
• 27:25
  these houses and the and they basically told them like no, like what you
• 27:33
  did, like it's illegal, you can't be doing that, and you have
• 27:37
  to destroy the house, like it's you're dead. Basically like oh no,
• 27:45
  see you attacked another house that's not allowed, and because you failed at that,
• 27:51
  now we're going to destroy everything that is yours. And there was an
• 27:57
  attack that was launched against the fail and Drift was extremely horrified. He could
• 28:03
  not understand why this house was being annihilated and he kind of like held this
• 28:11
  against drough society forever. And Malice recognized that Dritz had this discuss and she
• 28:26
  saw it as a sign of weakness, and she decided to put him through
• 28:30
  a trial to form him into a true drought warrior, and she disguised a
• 28:37
  goblin. Oh it was a little dark elf slave and she disguised it to
• 28:47
  look like a goblin and forced them to fight to the death, which he
• 28:53
  easily did. And then but after like hering matron Malus's goating, which like
• 29:08
  went totally against his nature, and he kills his and I think like the
• 29:12
  thing the illusion went down after he killed them, and he was basically distraught
• 29:21
  or the fact that he killed another one of his kind over the years,
• 29:30
  and then it switches back to Alton. So over the years since his house
• 29:33
  is destruction, he continued to learn. Alton just continue to learn, uh,
• 29:38
  tried to learn the name of those, like Jacob said, and he
• 29:41
  kept on like failing, like no one would ever ever say like who it
• 29:48
  was. And he was discovered by the matron mother of a neet, matron
• 30:00
  Cinefe, and she was just like like, why do I care, like
• 30:07
  I should kill you right now? You're the like of your kind. No
• 30:10
  one's gonna believe you that you're the last, the last of your house.
• 30:15
  And there was a conversation and she eventually accepted him into her house, saying
• 30:23
  that oh well, I am your mature and now you're part of our house.

  She also revealed that it but and she was the one who revealed to
• 30:37
  Alton that it was house stewarden that slaughtered his and he could not wait to
• 30:44
  exact his revenge. And then soon after Malice's challenge, Dritz was accepted into
• 30:53
  the mille Managa three, which is the school for fighters Menzon Baronson, with
• 31:03
  highest honors from his family, and he became quick friends with h Kelna's Kenefin,
• 31:11
  who is from the fit house of Menzo Baronson. At the excuse me,
• 31:18
  at the entrance ceremony, Hatchnett, who is one of the masters of
• 31:25
  the academy, tried to intimate like they. He was intimidating the young Drow
• 31:32
  with stories of the surface. Excuse me, I'm sorry. He told horror
• 31:40
  stories of the evil that comes from the surface and how they used to be
• 31:49
  friends, like them and the son Elves. I think it was either the
• 31:52
  son Eats or what else. I think it's the son Elves. They were
• 31:56
  friends and then one day out of the blue, they just turned their backs
• 32:00
  on us and attacked us and then let us down here, and that's why
• 32:06
  the surface sucks, and we got to kill everybody up there. That's basically
• 32:09
  brainwashing them into thinking that what they were doing was righteous. I love how
• 32:15
  like, I love how like the entire time drifts is basically like, man,
• 32:21
  yeah, this dude is full of ship, isn't he? Yeah,
• 32:25
  And so like the whole class listened to this hateful rhetoric that was like directed
• 32:30
  towards like the mini enemies that are the droughts they go, even the people,
• 32:36
  even the things that are here down in the underdreg there are enemies too,
• 32:38
  were the superior race. I'm just like yeah, okay, like,
• 32:44
  okay, whatever. Complete it. Like, after that whole thing was completed,
• 32:50
  the Grand Melee occurred, which is this annual contest in which the students
• 32:57
  battle each other for rank, and I think they go through like a maze.
• 33:04
  They go through like a maze of like salactites and salagmites through the under
• 33:08
  dark and like fight each other and allied with kel Naws, like he defeats
• 33:15
  so many of the other students. But near the end of the competition,
• 33:22
  kel Naws showing typical dark l word, betrayed Dritz, leaving him eighth place
• 33:30
  in the club. Learning that dritz is now in the academy, who is
• 33:37
  the youngest stewardan Alton decided that Dritzt was going to be the first target of
• 33:43
  his revenge and uh he was so eager for it that massage basically was like,
• 33:52
  uh no, don't do this, And there's actually plans. Mister Cinefe
• 34:00
  has plans to remove house to orn In and he's going to be able to
• 34:06
  like, like he has a significant role, he's going to be involved in
• 34:08
  that. You just have to be patient. Throughout his time at the Academy,
• 34:16
  he had many disappointments, particularly during the first year. He realizes like
• 34:27
  how dark Drow society really is. He could measure like the levels of hatred
• 34:36
  that the lectures had and the mistrust that there was in like every like uh
• 34:45
  class that he had, and it was a very different logic and the different
• 34:51
  stuff that was taught to him than like what zach Nafane thought. He tried
• 34:58
  to find like the true ruth. But while he remembered that the only like
• 35:05

  real truth. He thought that zach Nafhane was a true friend and that he

  had basically been betrayed and lied to, just like every other dark yelf that

  he has dealt with while he was growing up, and it angered him more

  than he ever like thought it would like. He was so confused at how

  angry he was, and Zachnaphane actually tried to actively look for Drits like he
• 46:45
  was so excited to see drids again. And it's the truth that Jack Naphane

  actually did. He hated the way that the Drow lived and he didn't really

  see a way of escaping, and so in order to survive, he had
• 47:06
  to follow, you know, the laws and the codes that he hated so

  much. And he was so worried that the academy corrupted Drits, and he

  basically mourned the loss of the Drits that he knew before he went into the

  account. He was like, no, my, Like, that's not my

  Drits anymore, Like this is this is the Drow that Matron Malice wanted.

  And so they were both mourning a loss that didn't even fucking happen. And

  me listening to this, I was like, no, stop, Like you're

  just talk to each other, talk to them, but of course you need

  to have something going on, right, And Maitre Malice called the whole family

  together and she told them about the rumors that of a war going up against

  their house, and she ordered all of them to try and learn who their

  enemy was and prepare for an attack at any time. Dritz probably only spent

  two days at home before joining the patrol groups. That capture the caverns around

  Menzo barons on the patrol was uh consisted of like Dinnen Massage and Guinevere or

  Guinevar and Dridz. Then Guinebar became really close friends. They were ordered that

  like, oh, well, Dritz is the most experienced one he you know,

  like he goes at the front and he needs Guinefar there with him,
• 48:57
  to which Massage is like no, but Guinavar is mine, and like they're

  like, no, you're gonna listen to what I fucking tell you and Whatefar

  is gonna go up there. So the massage was very salty over that.

  And during these patrols, like Dritzed and Guinivar became very close friends and like

  they trusted each other very much. One of those missions and that was assigned

  to them, they had to go up to the surface and raid a group

  of what Else and for like the first time ever, h they were all

  scared, and now all the draw were scared except for Drids. Of course,

  he saw this world and he thought it was beautiful. He saw this

  group of what Else that were just dancing around a campfire and enjoying themselves and

  was like, wow, what a merry all time. These people are really

  our enemies, he goes, I want to befriend them, like I don't

  want to I don't want to fight them. But of course the patrol group

  had to attack, and he hated it. He hated the violence and the

  non existent mercy that they showed towards these Elves that basically did not fight back,

  like they were defenseless. There was nothing that they did wrong, and

  in order for him, he decided not to fight. He did not want

  to kill them. He pretended to kill an elf child that I think was

  standing by their their dead mother, and he pretended to kill her by getting

  the blood from the mother's corpse and smearing it on her and basically convincing her

  like don't move, don't talk like even though they speak completely different languages.

  He was telling her like don't don't don't move like just like your don't wait

  until we're gone. And he truly believed that no one knew about the fact

  that he did not kill this little girl. And however, this act cost

  his house the favor of lof and that could result in the doom of the

  house, and Sinefe discovered that Lofe had withdrawn her favor from this house,

  and she immediately made plans to take advantage of this weakness and decided to attack

  House Jordan. And then, of course, upon his return to Menzo barons

  On, you know, he's haunted by the memory of this raid. He
• 52:12
  runs into Zachnaphane, and Zachnaphane truly believes that Drits killed these elves and the
• 52:22
  elf child, and Zachnaphane was just like, okay, well we're gonna fight.

  We're going to go into a sparring match, and Drich was like,
• 52:30
  okay, cool, we can do that. And they both had the idea
• 52:37
  that they were going to kill, like Drits was going to kill Zacnaphane and
• 52:40
  Zacnaphane was going to kill Dritz Yeah, yeah, Drits. Up until this
• 52:46
  point has begun, he began to start to resent as Zachnaphane because he always
• 52:52
  thought Zachnafhane was his only true friends. But then as he learns more about
• 52:55
  him, right like the things that he's done, like killing other drow you
• 53:00
  know, even drought children and pretty much everything he does, and the rumors
• 53:06
  he heard about how zach Andaphane enjoys killing other Drow like he's starting to believe
• 53:13
  he believed that that it was all a lie, like how Zach treated him,
• 53:19
  everything was just a lie. Yeah, so and huh I said that,

  yeah, yeah, yes, yes I did. Before they went back
• 53:30
  up, like before they went up onto the surface, I was like,

  yeah, Like Zachnaphane believes that Dritz, you know, has been tainted,

  like he's now like the Drow that they want him to be. And Driz

  thinks that Zachnaphane has been lying to him, and he feels betrayed by zach
• 53:49
  Nafane. Oh because like I said that, And so they throughout the entire
• 53:55
  time that they haven't been able to meet these thoughts I've been brewing, which
• 54:00
  ends up with this fight to the death bar. Dritz does accept the challenge,
• 54:12
  and he hopes to kill him and remove himself from like he wants.

  As soon as he's done killing Zacnaphane, he plans to leave. He does
• 54:24
  not want to be here anymore. But since Drid's patrol group was ordered to
• 54:35
  investigate activity in the tunnels that were east of the city, him and Zacnaphane

  was just like, Okay, we'll do this in a week. We'll see
• 54:44
  each other in a week and they go to the tunnels and Drids and his
• 54:52
  patrol group go to the tunnels and they discover a small group of zerf Neblin,
• 55:00
  which are deep gnomes, and they had just stray too far from from
• 55:07
  their territory and a little bit into the Draw territory, and you know,
• 55:14
  typical Draw were like, nope, it's time to kill him. Kill the
• 55:17
  zerf Neblin, and Adritz came in contact with an Earth elemental that the gnome
• 55:30
  that one of the gnomes had summoned, and gwen Bar helped with defeating the
• 55:37
  elemental. But near the end of the fight, Massage was like, oh,
• 55:43
  this is my chance. I'm gonna fuck him up and try to attack.

  He hit them both with a lightning bolt and it failed to kill Drits,

  but now like he was caught by one of the gnomes and didn't And

  the rest of the patrol group quickly tracked down Drits and with the help of

  Guinabar, proceeded to kill all the gnomes that were holding him captives. Yeah,

  the zerf Neblin. But there was one, there's one. His name

  is bell wir Disingul. Remember that name. Uh, he becomes important later.

  direct answers and that, but did reveal that you already know the house and

  left. And then it was only after the priests, like the do Ordan

  priestess is gathered with the rest of the family that they did that. Uh,

  they demanded answer and only then did like and Dritz like realized that like,

  oh my god, Massage tried to kill me. He tried to blast

  me with a lightning bolt. Yeah, like like that was like that was

  on purpose, It was on an accident. It was on purpose, and

  he does say like it was it was how Sannette like Massage attacked me while

  we were fighting an Earth elemental. And they decided to summon another one of

  lofts uh handmaidens in order to learn where House Cinephe's standing is with loth But

  they discovered that one of the family members of the Durdan house has invoked the

  wrath of loth No and so they're like who is that they're trying to figure

  it out the entire time. Meanwhile, during this whole thing with the with

  like, they basically wear their heart on their sleeves, fill their guts about

  everything, and the bond between them grows stronger with this fight and they understand

  each other and they shared uniqueness that they have amongst the draw and Zachnapane's revelation

  that, like he tells Dritz like, I'm not allowed to tell you this,

  but I'm your father, yes, yeah, and like Drids was like

  just was like fuck, yes, I always fucking knew it, like he

  had. He's like, yeah, but I'm beknownst to them. Malice and

  her daughters were scrying the entire fire and now knew the reason why their house

  had lost a favor to love and then specifically ordered the family to remain in

  the house itself. She ordered the entire family, like, don't fucking leave,

  because she was completely scared that there would be an assassination by house Hannette

  because well, because you know, they're trying to attack him. But too

  much had happened to Dritz for him to want to obey. He does not

  want to be there, so he needed time to think. You know,

  He's just like, okay, so we just got attacked. We found out

  that, you know, this house wants to destroy us. I found out

  that everything I thought about who I now know is my father has been a

  fucking lie, and like he actually is the great guy that I that I

  knew he was, and like he you know, a lot of shit has

  been going on. He wants to go walk out and think about what has

  happened, so he leaves. He needs time away from the house. So

  he's walking through the peaceful tunnels of the and Massage learns that Dritz left the

  house by himself. I decided, you know what, I'm gonna go fucking

  try and kill him again, and he summons Guinevere and orders her to find

  him and kill him. But unknown to Massage or the magical panther. Dritt's
• 1:03:49
  thoughts distracted him to his danger surrounding him, surroundings allowing him to be ensnared
• 1:03:55
  by a cave fisher. And a cave fisher is like this big lobster like
• 1:04:04
  monster they have like they shoot out. Basically, it's like a lobster and
• 1:04:14
  a spider came together and had a baby in a way, and so he
• 1:04:21
  got caught by one. And whenever Guinever found Dritz, he was like near
• 1:04:30
  death and and she was so concerned for his safety that she was like,
• 1:04:40
  fucked my orders and helped Drits kill the cave fisher two and then Grits drip
• 1:04:48
  dritzed Grits. Dritz then helped Guinevere understand that she was her own master,
• 1:04:56
  like he this guy, I love him so much. The love that I
• 1:05:00
  have for Drits is so much. And he was just like no, like
• 1:05:09
  you're your own person, like you do you. He is a big fan

  of free will and taught her to overcome the commands that Massage had given to

  her. And she led Drits to Massage, who had Alton with him,

  and they tried to kill Drits. There was a whole battle that happened,

  which it resulted in both of the mage's deaths. So both Alton and Massage
• 1:05:46
  died. And after that, like Dritz was like, I'm never going to
• 1:05:50
  kill another drow. I cannot do this again. Like these are my people,

  I cannot do this anymore. He took the magical statue, the little
• 1:06:01
  baby statuette that is used to summon Guinevere and went back home. And while

  he was doing all this, Malice went up to Zachnaphane and was just like

  like, hell, you're gonna do all the shit that you and Drits have
• 1:06:25
  been talking about about leaving our house and you have been nothing but like unloyal

  to this house. And like they explained that because of what Drits did on
• 1:06:42
  saving this young ELF's life and doing all this other stuff, we're gonna kill
• 1:06:48
  your son. Like this is his fault. He's the reason why we don't
• 1:06:54
  have favor with Loft, this is the reason why how Hannett is gonna fucking
• 1:07:01
  try and attack us. And Zachnaphane was like, no, don't kill my
• 1:07:08
  son. I'm not gonna allow you to kill my son. And that's whenever

  Malice goes fine, what do you suggest then you don't want me to kill

  your son, what do you suggest? And he goes kill me and said,

  punishment was gonna be. So she kills him and then Dritz comes home to

  find that his family was preparing for war. He learns about the the sacrifice

  of zach Naphane in order to gain the the uh the favor back of Loath,

  and he had so much grief in his heart. He was so heartbroken
• 1:08:16
  over everything. He decided to leave. He decided to leave house Stewordan,
• 1:08:23
  decided to leave men's own barons on and started life outside of the city and
• 1:08:31
  away from the teachings of the drought and gets lost in the tunnels of the
• 1:08:42
  Underdart and that's where the book ends. Dune And I love this book.
