The legendary Cinerama Dome, shuttered since 2021, is set to roar back to life in early 2028 under Alamo Drafthouse Cinema—Sony Pictures’ West Coast flagship. Preserving its iconic geodesic dome and massive curved screen, this cinematic landmark, opened in 1963 and once the only theater with three projectors, will embrace the 70mm resurgence.
