- 1:56friend of mine. A brother of mine, I would say.
- 1:58And have said, and will continue to say, we're gonna be talking
- 2:01today. We're covering a question that
- 2:05Blake also Is the skaldak works. He's got a YouTube channel and
- 2:11Instagram page. He actually notified me earlier

- 2:37This is doing but we are going to be bringing it in dingo to
- 2:40kind of cover, a little bit of what we talked about last week
- 2:43but also to really dive into a question that Blake has
- 2:48concerning, when your ritual space, or when you're conducting
- 2:56some sort of a ritual whether people out, or, or something,
- 2:59when it's unexpectedly, an unannounced, Lee Disturbed in
- 3:03some sort of way. And some things that might could
- 3:05happen, I think dingos got some Interesting Insight on that.
- 3:08So we are going to bring him in today to talk about that and
- 3:11some other things. So sit back, relax, enjoy the
- 3:14show. Let's welcome in, then go Oh
- 3:21yes, yes, yes, yes, yes. Welcome back to the podcast, my
- 3:24brother Dango. It's going on man in a while.
- 3:29Yeah, you know, I feel like I think about this often and I
- 3:35feel like it would be great to have you on a regular rotation
- 3:38here, because our conversations always leading to some pretty
- 3:41cool things, man. And I feel like the listeners
- 3:44and the viewers would really like it to have like a On a
- 3:49regular occasion like a like a standing guests all time.
- 3:52So maybe we bring some other people in but yeah maybe we'll
- 3:55see how that works. But yeah I mean like there's a
- 4:06lot of that going around. I'm interested in it as well and
- 4:12for anybody listening and won't you know watching or whatever
- 4:15wondering what are we talking about?
- 4:17You'll just have to wait. We'll see.
- 4:21Yes it is. Yes it is, that's what that's
- 4:35what the guard will be. Today it's going to be
- 4:40absolutely anybody in the Middle Tennessee area.
- 4:43Who's anybody who's been in the music scene for like, I don't
- 4:46know the last couple of decades knows.
- 4:48Skulking is Mike Laster and skeet so and those guys man like
- 4:53Lamb Chop. Come on, that's a good dudes
- 4:59right there. Yeah.
- 5:04On the schedule. Yep.
- 5:07I remember you telling me that it wasn't?
- 5:09My yeah, that's about the year that I moved to the state of
- 5:16Tennessee. I was in like West End.
- 5:18See area. So I missed all of like the
- 5:20really cool local bands that were like, blowing up and doing
- 5:23it, do anything at the time. And I learned about them much
- 5:27later on because of, because of, because of Vanessa, you know, so
- 5:33yeah, we got a good show. I was standing in line to donate
- 5:48plasma One day. And I was wearing this exact
- 5:50shirt, right? I was wearing this exact shirt
- 5:53in the guy. Did it kind of like you did was,
- 5:54like, is that a skulkin shirt? And I go?
- 5:56Yeah. What do you know about things?
- 5:58Like, oh man, dude, I love those guys.
- 5:59He said I used to play in a band from around here.
- 6:01You might have heard of him and I go really, which one he goes,
- 6:03Tony Danza. And I was like, wait, you too?
- 6:06I'm like, they had like thirty seven different kinds of birds
- 6:09that they rotated between, you know, like everybody in this
- 6:15area wasn't Tony Danza. Oh man.
- 6:24And I miss them too. Like I never got to see them but
- 6:26everybody, everybody that I talk to that ever, says anything
- 6:30about him was like they were the shit.
- 6:32What was it was sad to the Laughing was the last time I saw
- 6:35them, they were headlining and everybody left, and it was like
- 6:43the crowd was like five people. Ouch.
- 6:48It was an amazing show, that hurts, that hurts the ear.
- 6:51I mean, like, I've been at those shows where the headliner comes
- 6:54on and everybody that was there like fifty-some-odd people
- 6:57packed into. Like, remember remember that,
- 7:00what was the TFG in Murfreesboro?
- 7:02Remember that, or our autograph even it was like, just this,
- 7:06like, it was like a closet almost or just a, you know, a
- 7:09storage room that people were packed into and When the
- 7:13headliner whoever was would come on.
- 7:15Like, everybody, left or dipped out.
- 7:17I'm like, that's sorry as hell man.
- 7:19Like these people waited hours to play their 30 45 minutes set
- 7:22and then you guys just Vamp out on them like that.
- 7:25That's that's demoralizing to say the least I would think.
- 7:29Yeah. I mean, we ran into that battle
- 7:32path a lot. And so like if they were you
- 7:34guys sucked anyway, so that doesn't know me.
- 7:54That's, that's solid. That's how Nashville and
- 7:58Murfreesboro ended up being how the scene was, man.
- 8:01Yeah. But yeah, we got a good show
- 8:06lined up I think today. But before I get into this, I
- 8:10wanted to just like totally off topic.
- 8:11I was watching something a minute ago and it was like dudes
- 8:14making different whiskey and bourbon recipes.
- 8:17And I and I know that this would pique your interest specifically
- 8:21because they were making stuff like old Fashions and
- 8:24Manhattan's and stuff that that include whiskey as the as the
- 8:29alcoholic ingredient, right? So they get to a rest Nail which
- 8:34is, which is Scotch whisky and Drambuie.
- 8:38Not, you know, like not like a bourbon or a rye, it's made with
- 8:41Scotch whiskey and I swear to you do die about screamed at my
- 8:45phone because I'm, I'm pretty sure that they were using their
- 8:48Scotch at they were using was the was Ardbeg and I'm like how
- 8:52dare you use our day in a rusty nail like you could go with
- 8:55Johnny Walker you could go with anything else and there and
- 8:58there they are just pouring in a couple ounces of Ardbeg into the
- 9:02into the See now, and I'm like, it's probably good but it's also
- 9:05insulting to me that you would use like such a good.
- 9:08I late. And in the guys that were born,
- 9:11it was like, you know, that I used to know someone that, would
- 9:16that chased a 16 year old single malt with Coke.
- 9:23And I didn't know whether to cry or do you still associate with
- 9:29such an individual? Where have they been
- 9:49busy? You know what really grinds my
- 9:51gears kind of moments, you know, is when they use single malts
- 9:56and like decent and he's going over here, he's pouring.
- 9:58He's like, you know, the characteristics of scotch or
- 10:01that They're really Smoky. I'm like, that's like one
- 10:03variety. That that's the kind of scotch
- 10:06that it is like you talked about space sides or Highlands and and
- 10:09and lowland scotches. Like those aren't Smokey at all
- 10:12and he's like, oh good characteristics.
- 10:14He's got some like, mean topic are that's an I lay that you're
- 10:16pouring right there. If you think it's Smoky than
- 10:18it's an eye like you know, I wish we could get some of that
- 10:29here. There is still, there is still I
- 10:31think. 18-year. Yeah, I think there's still like
- 10:35an 18. It's either a 15 year and 18,
- 10:37and I can't remember what it is that they sell here in the
- 10:39States. But it's like, 120 125 bucks
- 10:42for, you know, a bottle of it. And I'm like, man, one of these
- 10:47days and I keep looking at it every time I walk in the store,
- 10:49they got like one or two left on the shelves.
- 10:51I'm like, one of these days I'm going to go in there is going to
- 10:53be gone, and I'm going to miss my chance.
- 10:55I'm just hoping against all hope that they keep it on the shelf
- 10:58for long enough, because it's a, it's got like, I don't know,
- 11:01they were they advertise it? It's not the, it's not the Are
- 11:04the herald, it's I forget which one it is but it's got like
- 11:07something to do with like apples or pineapples or something.
- 11:10It's like sounds really exotic but yeah Highland Park is is a
- 11:14good good. Distillery Europe.
- 11:24It was like she had to buy it there.
- 11:27Yeah. It wasn't available at all.
- 11:29I don't know if it is now but at least that's crazy.
- 11:35I think they started maybe to open up but I think with
- 11:37everything else too you know Distributing especially from
- 11:41these distilleries that are like based in Europe.
- 11:45Like they're shipping they're probably getting murdered on
- 11:47shipping. I'm sure.
- 11:50Cost and everything going up is the way they are, you know, so
- 11:53it's probably not even an option for a lot of them.
- 11:55But anyway, I just had to throw that little bit in there, right?
- 12:02Yeah, you know what, probably better than anybody, you know,
- 12:04just those numbers. It is what it is.
- 12:22SOC KS, it is what it is. All right?
- 12:27But anywho now that we're done talking about, you know,
- 12:30awesome, Middle Tennessee, bands.
- 12:32And the the aberration of blending single-malt scotches
- 12:37with your cocktails. Let's get to the real subject at
- 12:41hand. As I mentioned in the intro of
- 12:44skaldak, it's called it works. It's got a YouTube channels, got
- 12:48an Instagram account Count. It's information is going to be
- 12:50linked in the description and in the show notes, he hasn't at
- 12:54least up to this point. I think, uploaded a lot of
- 12:57content, but he did let me know earlier this week that he just
- 13:00uploaded something, so I think he's playing a, I've probably
- 13:06butchering the pronunciation but at Allah harp tolly harp, it's
- 13:10like that Nordic, you know, stringed instrument, that looks
- 13:13like a violin, but sounds like a really, really off, not off-key
- 13:18but, you know, the really Groaning kind of yeah II yarning
- 13:22sound? I guess, I don't know but I
- 13:23think it's yalla Harper or something like that.
- 13:25Anyway, he's playing that on his most recent video.
- 13:27So everybody that's you know tuned in last week and got the
- 13:30first half of his question for the first half of what we were
- 13:35going to answer as a question, check that out this week.
- 13:39The second part of his email that he sent me includes a
- 13:42question that I think dingo here will probably have a good little
- 13:48bit of insight on. Or at least a good story to tell
- 13:50about it. So his question is when it comes
- 13:53to this kind of Falls in line with his question about
- 13:58destroying altar objects or ritual tools after they've no
- 14:03longer served, you know, their purpose and the profane space
- 14:06and what not his second question has to do it interrupted ritual
- 14:11spaces. So his question reads that what
- 14:14is the appropriate action needed to be taken if On breaks or
- 14:20interrupts your Sacred Space that you've made for ritual.
- 14:25With an example being like if you're outdoors and local law
- 14:28enforcement police officers, game wardens Park Rangers Etc
- 14:33approach, you mid ritual, you know, you guys are doing your
- 14:36thing, you're in the middle of it and then you get interrupted
- 14:39or someone maybe just passes by you and, you know, speaks to you
- 14:43or engages with you in some way in the middle of a ritual.
- 14:48And Or any other sort of like spiritual experience, whether it
- 14:51be, you know, personal meditation or anything like
- 14:53that. Their intent, of course, not
- 14:55being to intentionally interrupt you but because of their
- 14:59actions, it kind of like breaks the flow of things or like
- 15:03interrupts the process. Yeah.
- 15:07And so his question is, you know, when someone does that and
- 15:11then he even goes to says or someone that does intentionally
- 15:14interrupt a ritual or bloat with the intent of doing.
- 15:16So now I think If we're going to answer this question, he saying
- 15:20about, you know what to do when it happens unintentionally and
- 15:23he's also talking about what to do when it is intentional.
- 15:27And I think there's two different angles to take on
- 15:28that. What do you say?
- 15:30What do you do? He said it's never happened to
- 15:32him but he kind of wants to be prepared for winter if that
- 15:36happens. So Let's I think take it as a
- 15:41like let's kind of dissect a little bit and let's let's maybe
- 15:44take it for the approach of if it happens unintentionally, what
- 15:48would be the appropriate action? And I want to start off with
- 15:51dingo with you sharing something about that.
- 15:55That we I think talk to a little bit.
- 16:08and it was it was my ritual there, and I was in the north
- 16:12gate and this property that we were on The north was facing.
- 16:20Like the driveway in the road and like it's in the country.
- 16:25I think I've driven you by there before if we've gone the back
- 16:29way through those lands and yeah for sure but not exactly it's
- 16:33not like in the country where I is.
- 16:36Where like, there's just Woods you know, like there's a highway
- 16:40next to it and all that. So it's not really like
- 16:44secluded. It's more kind of like off to
- 16:48the side. And we still have no idea who
- 16:54this guy was, but I would, I do remember what I was doing that
- 17:00night. But concentration was
- 17:03immediately broken. And this guy walks up, I want to
- 17:08say, you had a white hoodie on me.
- 17:10This was like fall somewhere around that time. and, I think
- 17:17it was Tyler or Peter maybe I don't remember what name but he
- 17:20like he was looking for this guy and he was very obviously at the
- 17:23wrong house. I was like mid ritual at the
- 17:27north side of the place. And as we had a hinge set up
- 17:36there, you know, with the cardinal directions and cross
- 17:41quarters, and all of that. And You know, he just walks up
- 17:46and he's like, hey, is Peter around or whatever?
- 17:49The guys name was and Patrick just walks up holding a ritual
- 17:53dagger in his hand, he just stares at the guy coldly and
- 17:58blankly. That that tourist look, that
- 18:01we've talked about with Patrick, where he just goes like, oh
- 18:04yeah, I've seen that look yep. Dude was just like I think I
- 18:13have the wrong house. Yeah.
- 18:15I'm sorry, it just scared the shit out of him.
- 18:23Yeah. Yeah he just turned around and
- 18:28saw the situation kind of handled itself in that way.
- 18:31Well, with some of your, you know, it's like you had
- 18:35something to do about it. But, you know, it wasn't like,
- 18:37he quickly realized I am at the wrong place at the wrong time.
- 18:41And I'm sorry and he and he made it known like this is what I
- 18:45intended for. But so like what happened after
- 18:49what happened after that? Like it interrupted the ritual,
- 18:52you know? So what do you do?
- 18:59You just regroup, right? Yeah.
- 19:15We weren't trying that. It's just like, he just walked
- 19:17into that City. There was a reason Patrick had
- 19:20the athame, like I'm sure he was in that.
- 19:24Yeah, he was in that ritual State of Mind to and then you
- 19:27know, when a an outsider or outside influence steps in
- 19:31unintentionally like that, like it's like, excuse me, you know?
- 19:35I mean, His job was to make sure that nothing interferes with
- 19:46what I was doing because it was an individual.
- 19:50Yeah, for me, we did a lot of that in that group, where we had
- 19:53individual work with the others as protection, so to speak.
- 20:00So so, yeah, that's really the only time that's ever happened
- 20:07to me. I mean, I have a is where I've
- 20:11been practicing for ya, even back then, as well, but
- 20:16exclusively for a long time now, I think there's something.
- 20:29Especially if it's a major ritual, I wouldn't do it in a
- 20:33public place. I would do it in a place that
- 20:37that will not happen. Yeah, I think you bring up a
- 20:43really good point because that's kind of what I was about to say.
- 20:45I said, I think there's something to be said about where
- 20:48your Sacred Space is. And I know that a lot of modern
- 20:51heathens and modern pagans in general, nowadays, find the
- 20:56challenge of creating Sacred Space in places where they Don't
- 21:00think that they have enough space.
- 21:03Some of the you know Suburban heathens I think Eric shervin on
- 21:06the Ravens call he did a video about that you know, where
- 21:09you're kind of confined to a inner city or an apartment.
- 21:13And I mean, I can tell you right now folks like Where I live is
- 21:17not very remote by any means, but the space is that have been
- 21:22set, right? Yeah.
- 21:24I mean, we. Yeah, right.
- 21:26So you like, you got an apartment and I live in a house
- 21:28that has hey houses next to it. You know, to mobile home.
- 21:32And so we're kind of in a, in a similar situation with maybe
- 21:37just a little bit less grass, meaning, you, and I, you know
- 21:41what I'm saying. But nonetheless, right?
- 21:44Sacred Space can be set up. Define to to whatever degree.
- 21:48Now when we do go out to like the VA where we're talking about
- 21:53here, I'm not going to say out in the woods like that's a
- 21:57fortunate part that we have to have.
- 22:00It's secluded and set aside to the point where when we're
- 22:03there, and when we're doing our thing, nobody If anybody just
- 22:07happens to walk up on that, like something seriously wrong, like,
- 22:10if you just stumbled across across this out there, like, you
- 22:14are seriously lost it, right? Like, you're way out of line.
- 22:18So, fortunately, we've not had that to happen either, but I
- 22:21feel like what you were saying is like anything major like
- 22:24that, find a space, that's secluded, or do something that's
- 22:28not public, not in, like, a park, or, or state land or
- 22:31something that we're just, anybody could potentially walk
- 22:35up because it is It's available to the public and you just don't
- 22:39know when you're going to plan to do something when someone
- 22:44else might just happen to show up, so it's probably best to
- 22:48reserve such activities to be done.
- 22:54In space where you are able to, at least control the environment
- 22:57because when you talk about whatever, ritual it is, yeah, I
- 23:01mean, we could dissect that down to a lot of things.
- 23:06You know, what kind of ritual are we talking about here?
- 23:08But nonetheless, it's still something that you're entering
- 23:11into with the intent and for a purpose.
- 23:14And so when, when that are a gets disrupted or when like your
- 23:19ritual state of mind, gets interrupted it, does it?
- 23:23Shake things up to the point where it's like, well shit.
- 23:25Now I gotta start all over again in a way because you don't oh
- 23:32yeah. Yeah, I can I can I can I can
- 23:36agree with that for sure, you know.
- 23:40So you know maybe for the You know, I mean, Patrick and I
- 23:59for example, we've done rituals and Radner.
- 24:04We went off Trail. You're not supposed to but I
- 24:10don't do that kind of thing. If you're doing something
- 24:19gravity of gravity, you need a safe space.
- 24:23Hmm. And you know like yeah I guess
- 24:27to answer that question in our case you know like okay so like
- 24:30what if police officer showed up?
- 24:34Like where's where's the warrant?
- 24:37You're on private property for basically no reason.
- 24:42What's the deal? You know.
- 24:43Yeah, but I could yeah the situation kind of dictates the
- 24:51response in a way or the environment would dictate
- 24:54because I feel like you know if you're going to go out to public
- 24:58land, right? Whether it's a state Reserve or
- 25:01public park or do something like that, I mean you are you're
- 25:04opening yourself up to the possibility of anybody and
- 25:07everybody approaching you for whatever reason questions,
- 25:10right? What are you doing?
- 25:12Or, you know like you say if it's state land and your how do
- 25:19you even? Yeah and everything but the
- 25:23protection side of it is right. Ricky because even if you set
- 25:28something up, say that week before, other energies have ya
- 25:32scramble through that place, right?
- 25:35Is Closed off as you think. Mmm.
- 25:39Yeah. And that goes back to really
- 25:42some some some really old ways thinking of barriers boundaries
- 25:48land, claiming land taking how things were done in in old times
- 25:5222 to set those barriers and to set those boundaries because
- 25:55even though the concept of like the in and garden Newton Garden
- 25:59was, is may not be particularly old ways.
- 26:02Even rewrite like it's a pretty modern construct, I think of
- 26:05thinking of the This is the outer but the the the way that
- 26:10the world views of Artisans were at the time as they had that
- 26:14understanding of what's within is safe and sacred and what's
- 26:16without is wild and dangerous, like there was that clear
- 26:20Villages were set up that way, right there was a fence row.
- 26:23There was there was barriers between the in and the out so
- 26:28understanding those barriers Yeah, definitely.
- 26:40And you know something I don't know but like I think that you
- 26:49know, with what's called it works is is asking I think again
- 26:53it depends on the situation and depends on the space.
- 26:55What I think we're collectively agreeing on right now.
- 26:58You and I is you know Reserve like hardcore rituals that are
- 27:04of any sort of Any sort of importance Reserve that to space
- 27:09that you can control and have some control over even if it's a
- 27:13corner of the room or yeah. Even if you don't have outside
- 27:32interference, if you're in public, there's that
- 27:36distraction. Yeah, it's there's inherent
- 27:39exactly. There's so much going on.
- 27:41I mean a plane could fly over, you know, just whatever.
- 27:44You know, who knows. And So I think that the damn
- 27:50dog. Yeah.
- 27:55Sound like a donkey that guy. Don Quixote, you know, pipe it
- 28:08down. Keep it down over here, you
- 28:10know, we're trying to do some things.
- 28:13That guy cracks me up, though. He's almost like a staple
- 28:15though. It's like it's like that white
- 28:17noise. Yeah.
- 28:18Background. Do you like I you just over
- 28:22here, you know, hollering about whatever, you know,
- 28:39which was kind of an evolution of the first one.
- 28:44It was active a where we practice now and it was a it was
- 28:52some kind of rebirth ceremony and I'm a member of the ins and
- 28:57outs of it. I'm not going to name names but
- 29:03it was like a minute and a half into it and everybody's in their
- 29:10positions. Everything's locked down,
- 29:13everything's groovy. Everybody's in this Zone and he
- 29:19started his chant, like he was a baby, like, he opened his mouth
- 29:23to start saying whatever he was going to say.
- 29:27And then the guy next to him, just out of nowhere, you hear.
- 29:35Hey, we all passed it out loud. Like ritual was ruined in that
- 29:40mode. It's like.
- 29:40Did you really just fart at the beginning of my ritual?
- 29:49Yeah. So it's not always outside
- 29:51interference. It can be inside as well.
- 29:57That's comical. Yeah, I did.
- 29:59What did you just do? You know?
- 30:01We washed. We cleanse.
- 30:02We did everything to prepare for this and then you go and break
- 30:04wind on us like that. Like come on show some should be
- 30:12the new dexterous trackman shitting in the East Gate. it
- 30:21sound like a terrible time but uh yeah man so like noise being
- 30:31the operative word here you know but noises but noises But
- 30:43trumpets, so, yeah. Like I mean unintentional,
- 30:48right? It's an accident due to
- 30:50accidents happen. Like, I mean, you shit your
- 30:52pants in the middle of ritual. Hey, whoops, like it's in a
- 30:56similar way. I mean, if you're going to
- 30:58venture off into public accessible areas and do anything
- 31:02of of a ritualistic nature, like just realize what you're kind
- 31:05of, opening yourself up to the possibility of and if it's
- 31:08unintentional, And if it's an apologetic, right?
- 31:11And then they're inquisitive, you know, maybe it's happening
- 31:14for a reason at that point, right?
- 31:16Maybe the, maybe the moment wasn't right for you to get into
- 31:19that space and now, another open opportunity has opened itself up
- 31:22and it's a learning a chance to learn or or, or educate,
- 31:27somebody who is inquisitive and who knows what planting that
- 31:30seed might lead into for them, or for you, you know?
- 31:42Could end up being an integral part of the central.
- 31:46It could be like that to realize it.
- 31:49But, you know, it could be that that that stray leaf that gets
- 31:54blown into the web. And then now all of a sudden it
- 31:57gets becomes part of the web. Yeah.
- 32:13There was a purpose for that. There was something that you
- 32:16couldn't plan for it, just had to be that way.
- 32:23Hmm, that's an interesting thing too, is that, you know, the
- 32:27interruption might be part of it that you just don't realize.
- 32:31It could be the ritual itself. That guy that guy I don't talk
- 32:39to him again. One of these days.
- 32:41I'll pick a different have a different conversation, but
- 32:44yeah. All the Primal, Primal poo.
- 32:55Fling in, right? Definitely.
- 32:59But so then with like the intentional now that goes into a
- 33:04whole other realm of reaction, you know, if somebody like
- 33:10intentionally comes up to your space to disrupt.
- 33:15The the activities that go on, I mean, you've got other folk, you
- 33:19got other things to focus on. Now, at that point, you have to
- 33:21deal with an Invader. And I know that what's called.
- 33:26It works is talking about are probably of more along the lines
- 33:33of physical interruptions, you know, people that sort of thing,
- 33:40but does it, but does it, or could it not also The, the
- 33:46Unseen and where does the pre ritual ritual, right?
- 33:53The setting of Sacred Space, the setting of wards, the sending of
- 33:55boundaries the establishing Sacred Space, through specific
- 34:00means, you know, if you've done that, you're almost in your
- 34:04inhibiting, any nefarious or baleful forces from interfering,
- 34:10and if they get past that and what, you know what, you have to
- 34:15do with I think, I think it gets more into the metaphysical
- 34:18aspects of ritual at that point if something or someone
- 34:21intentionally is able to breach Sacred Space for you, then
- 34:25there's a there's other things to be focused on aside from just
- 34:30the initial Like we got to get rid of, you kind of thing.
- 34:36I don't know what you think about that but that's like what
- 34:37first comes to mind. Me is like, how did you get in
- 34:40to begin with? Refuse to come in side, the
- 34:54boundaries during ritual. Because they had that respect.
- 35:05For it and almost fear even like reverence in a way.
- 35:13Yeah, yeah but also like okay y'all are dealing with some
- 35:18really messed up stuff. Yeah I don't want to be a part
- 35:25of it. Not that we did anything really
- 35:29bad or anything, powerful, heavy energy.
- 35:33You know. It wasn't their path.
- 35:37It was all groups, Pastor. They were guests and so they
- 35:43respected that. Yeah. and I think that's, you
- 35:49know, as far as like unwanted interruptions and that kind of a
- 35:53thing and like, especially if ill-will is presented, I've
- 36:01worked with some people that If it's in a on private property
- 36:08secluded and in a Sacred Space that is used often and you come
- 36:17in there with L, will you might not be legally, right?
- 36:22Right. I mean that's just kind of one
- 36:26of those things that may sound terrible, but like, if the
- 36:29nature of whatever is going on and, you know, depending on its
- 36:34Very situational but it is. Yeah because I mean yeah for
- 36:38sure you mean we could be talking about anything from as
- 36:41simple as basic as like a you know, an angry ex girlfriend or
- 36:46boyfriend or something, just rolling in and being drunk and
- 36:49belligerent or you know we could be talking about you know,
- 36:52things that. I mean we're talking about
- 36:55situational stuff here in the state of Tennessee and you know
- 36:58Castle laws of thing and you have every right to defend your
- 37:00your keep as it were. So where are they?
- 37:04The law touches on stuff like that.
- 37:06Like I mean, there there's there's that whole thing as
- 37:10well, and a hammer was, that's pretty crazy friends, but the
- 37:24ritual was so volatile and why? Yes, chaotic dangerous really is
- 37:32yeah, I could do some damage, I could do some literal physical
- 37:36damage and That was the, my old old group and they had the henge
- 37:49set up and everything and everybody had their gate that
- 37:52correspondent with and Ruth sort of the ruler of the warden of
- 37:57that gate. And like, say somebody was doing
- 38:02a low-key ritual, your gate might get peed on, hmm.
- 38:09Yeah, it depends on the ritual, it depends on the location, the
- 38:14circumstance of all, you know. But basically there's its
- 38:19infinite possibilities on. How to approach that.
- 38:24Yeah, like there's almost no one set answer to this kind of
- 38:28question because of, again, the situations that we could be
- 38:31talking about, potentially talking about, I mean, there's
- 38:33probably even stuff that, you know, would venture into the
- 38:36realm of II. Don't really want to go there.
- 38:38I don't want to talk about that because that's something else,
- 38:42you know, entirely. But I think as a general rule,
- 38:44right? Like we understand like ritual
- 38:47and and and doing anything like stuff.
- 38:50Like this is, it's true. It's true.
- 38:52For us, you know what I'm saying?
- 38:53Like, we're entering a space that is sacred or we're setting
- 38:56a space at a circuit. So it you know, for people that
- 38:59maybe just aren't unfamiliar with things almost everybody,
- 39:02nowadays can can at least relate to, you know, sacred ground.
- 39:07You know, you don't do certain things inside of a church or
- 39:09whatever and it's there's there's there's some parts of
- 39:13this Pagan path that that correlates to that mindset.
- 39:17You know, we may not be contained into inside a four
- 39:19walls or a building. But this canopy of trees is our
- 39:25Cathedral, this mound of stones, is our altar, this Grove or
- 39:30whatever is our Sanctuary. It's it.
- 39:32There's there's equivalents and there's comparisons that you can
- 39:34make. So it's like just don't be It'll
- 39:38be an asshole, right? Like it was gonna be respect for
- 39:42any person. Yeah, just show respect and you
- 39:47know like Midsummer right like don't piss on the ancestral
- 39:51tree. It could be very bad for you.
- 39:54Yeah. Oh and there's that whole thing
- 39:57to write. I mean, like, when you talk
- 39:58about, You know, when we when we talked about like, well, what
- 40:02can we, you know, what should be done, what action should be
- 40:04taking, you may not have to do anything just because of the
- 40:07energy that is tied to that land that the things that are
- 40:10connected to those roots and that whole system, everything
- 40:14around there like anything that comes ill against that they
- 40:17could just be doing it to themselves.
- 40:19And they may find themselves in a pretty bad situation
- 40:22themselves for doing something like that.
- 40:24You may not have to actively respond in any sort of way.
- 40:27It's like, well, you dug your own grave at that.
- 40:30Point for disrupting something sacred right?
- 40:32Like that's a thing that's a thing too I feel so people have
- 40:39respect to inside people. Make sure everything's secure.
- 40:47Yeah you know and that's a large part and that's what I love.
- 41:03Security checks, and that's what I've Loved about.
- 41:25You don't want to bring that Madness into a public place.
- 41:29And if you do it right, You're not going to be in the right
- 41:32headspace, you know, unlike say, a police officer shows up.
- 41:36If you're doing that ritual correctly, You don't care who or
- 41:42what they are, you may just attack, right?
- 41:46And you can ruin your whole life.
- 41:48You could end your own life, you know, I mean, So I guess that
- 41:54would be my biggest thing on a practicing level of.
- 42:01You have to make sure where you are, is safe and protected.
- 42:07Period. I would concur with that.
- 42:12Sure, sure. And that's one of the greatest
- 42:15things about that. I love with our space, you know,
- 42:19and in the space that I become, you know, our VA is we don't
- 42:25just, you know, plan something, whether it be, you know, an
- 42:28annual like I've been, I've been talking about in some of the
- 42:30previous episodes about Seger blow coming up next month.
- 42:34We're not just rolling up in there that Friday night and
- 42:38doing rich. The way over, we're actually
- 42:40going out ahead of time this coming weekend, right?
- 42:43So in this podcast errors, in a few days from now, we're going
- 42:46out there to not just prepare the land physically, but to
- 42:51prepare it for what's to come like we're doing our pre ritual
- 42:55ritual. And that's what I love about it
- 42:57is that we have that methodology behind it.
- 43:00We don't just roll in there and be like oh, it's that time of
- 43:02year again, let's just do it. Like we go in there and we we
- 43:06first of all reacquaint ourselves with the vator R that
- 43:09are there because it's intermittent, at least the time
- 43:13for a lot of us to be there. Maybe not so much you but it's
- 43:15very intermittent when I'm there, and we're so much.
- 43:21Yeah, exactly. So it's almost like you have to
- 43:23be like knock on the door when you come and be like, hey guys
- 43:25remember me? You know, like I'm here again,
- 43:28it's like familiar, but also recognizing that it is ever
- 43:32changing, right? Yep.
- 43:37Yeah, out there for what? 30 34 years now, exactly.
- 43:46So I mean, whenever I approach that space, I always do so with
- 43:52an and I'm and I'm a welcome presence there, you know, but I
- 43:55always go in there as like, kind of just cautionary is like, it's
- 43:59me again, you know? Remember me, you know, kind of
- 44:02like when you see an old dog, right?
- 44:03That you haven't seen for. I let him sniff around
- 44:06reacquaint themselves with the The scent, you know, that sort
- 44:09of thing. And that's that's what I love
- 44:11about our R Group. Yeah.
- 44:16Yeah. What about you?
- 44:20There's something about you. Oh yeah, you know, and So when
- 44:25you know, when you're dealing with stuff like that, like
- 44:27that's a whole different Dynamic.
- 44:28You know, we're talking something about very we're
- 44:31actually talking some about something, very specific to our
- 44:35tribal practices and that has actually something that has
- 44:37grown very organically for us, but it has become something that
- 44:42we've adopted as our, you know, tribal tradition.
- 44:47And that may not be the same thing for the next person or the
- 44:50next people that listen or watch or think about it.
- 44:52But something to consider, you know, don't just don't just
- 44:56approach ritual as as anything Cavalier, right, approach it
- 45:00with the right mentality of reverence and recognizing that
- 45:05you are trying to connect with the sacred.
- 45:07It's not about the spirits that that exists within you and the
- 45:11profane when you, when you engage in any sort of ritual
- 45:14with the sacred like that's that's on another level of
- 45:16thing. And connecting with that energy.
- 45:20Take some dedicated and diligent and and methodical work.
- 45:25I feel absolutely, you know, it's it's yeah, and that 30
- 45:50minutes by the time you get to that point.
- 45:54It's almost just like ceremonial like, yeah, it's almost
- 45:58irrelevant. Yeah, because it's about that
- 46:02two-year process. Yeah, putting yourself in that
- 46:05mindset and preparing, whatever you need your tools, or the land
- 46:10or whatever. Your mind make the mentality.
- 46:15Yeah. And like things will happen to
- 46:17you if you're preparing a ritual for that long, a time that end
- 46:24up affecting it, different are things, you didn't expect, you
- 46:28know, it's not at all unlike he talked about that trois earlier,
- 46:33you know, the First album. The song Earth that took me
- 46:44about he was nine months to mix and I mean almost daily.
- 46:53But there are like 17 layers. You know, and it took so much
- 46:59time to match up those frequencies and work with it and
- 47:04it consumed my life for a good part.
- 47:07And like I had like Yeah, I had to make sure everything was
- 47:13lined up perfectly on those frequencies, or it didn't come
- 47:16out, like, I needed it to sound. You know, and it's it does, it
- 47:21takes a lot of work. It takes that nitpicking, it's
- 47:24not something. It's never ever anything that
- 47:26just happens, instantly off the cuff.
- 47:30Yeah, I mean for so much of my, like qarth Colt, what I would
- 47:35call my Hearth cult rituals, you know, even the very basic of
- 47:41things the or the most basic, or what might seem the most basic
- 47:44of things. I do a lot of resin burning, you
- 47:48know, smoke sessions. Stuff.
- 47:50And even the simplest thing of preparing the resin, you know,
- 47:56picking out what I want to use, combining it placing it in the
- 48:01item that I'm going to burn it. Like, it's all very ritualistic
- 48:04for me, you know, I might even sing a song or make up a little
- 48:09chant or something along the way to like, In my own way, you
- 48:14know, make those items that are just by themselves just simply
- 48:19resin, you know, but that have no.
- 48:24What you want to call Magic, whatever tied tied to them are
- 48:27tested to them, but, you know, breathing that life into them,
- 48:30what we're doing that thing, whatever it might be, you know,
- 48:32whether it's a dance or a song, or a drum, or rattle or
- 48:35something, right. It's like there's elements of
- 48:39that in any sort of ritual, I feel and with us at the VA, you
- 48:44know, cutting the wood clearing the land, walking the property
- 48:50doing the things that we do like that.
- 48:52At to me at every point in time that we've done it as always
- 48:55been pivotal for the ritual that leads up to and like you say it
- 48:58at that point, like when you actually go do the thing, it's
- 49:00just ceremony. There are feels more like
- 49:03ceremony, at that point because the, the actual ritual of it has
- 49:07been lived through, you know, leading up to and including that
- 49:10point. We did the Wicker, man.
- 49:24And we had beef stew and everybody.
- 49:30Stirred the stew. Yeah, before it was eaten.
- 49:35Everybody had some kind of role in meal prep, cutting the wood,
- 49:43everyone placed. A branch or log in the Wicker
- 49:50man. Everyone held on to it when we
- 49:52were lashing it together to make sure that it would hold up, long
- 49:56enough to learn everyone puts something in and that's part of
- 50:02the ritual. That's one of the most important
- 50:04parts of natural. Is everyone putting their energy
- 50:09into one place. Yeah.
- 50:11And actually remembering that that was a singer bloke that was
- 50:14siga blow. That was last year's there.
- 50:16Yeah, because for Freire. Yeah, we did the fair, man.
- 50:19The prayer wicker, man. Yeah, yeah, yep.
- 50:26Beagle, the cool yawns is they say, you know.
- 50:31Yep. Yep, yep.
- 50:34Yep, yep. Got the cojones in the Frijoles
- 50:39and all the all the Ole's I guess, you know werewolves you
- 50:43know everything so yeah. Yeah, that was I remember that.
- 50:47And that was that was a very you know, important part of that was
- 50:53just how much everybody like you your literal everyone's literal
- 50:56hands were on it or part of it. And that's that's significant,
- 51:00you know, that's significant. And when you put that much
- 51:05Energy into something. And when you dedicate that much
- 51:07of the time and effort into something, it's like, you know,
- 51:11you've set the standard at that point, you set the expectation.
- 51:14And, you know, you're going to be hard pressed to find anything
- 51:18that can interrupt or disturb that because of it's because
- 51:20it's such strong energy. Oh yeah.
- 51:41Yeah, there's times when all of that is important and there's
- 51:44times when those when those roles are identified and
- 51:48recognized and then there's other times where it's like you
- 51:53throw that shit out the window and you just live and you just
- 51:56exist and you just be people with each other, you just share
- 52:00it and tie that weird together and you are folk, you know what
- 52:03I mean? You are the people.
- 52:05And I think that's huh. Yeah, it's almost like One
- 52:15Singular entity as a tribe. Yeah.
- 52:19Yeah, the roots just kind of grew in and around and the vines
- 52:23reached around and everything, just became Collective.
- 52:26And one, at that point, it didn't matter who it was or what
- 52:29they were called, because everybody does the things we
- 52:34didn't own by lingo by name, you know what I mean?
- 52:36Like, names were very surface level, like you have needs that,
- 52:41you know, we were just him over there and that guy and, you
- 52:45know, Yep, you over there? Now they did it felt very
- 52:59organic and it felt very natural.
- 53:00And that's that's another great point.
- 53:02I think as we as we get close to wrapping things up on the
- 53:05podcast today is ritual is methodical.
- 53:09And ritual does have a process to whatever to follow, but it
- 53:14shouldn't be something that you force.
- 53:16And if you're in an area that you're almost forced to be so
- 53:21Vigilant about the outside world, that you can't focus on
- 53:24what you're doing, then is that In the right place in the right
- 53:27space to do it in you know and and then maybe re-evaluate or
- 53:32rethink your approach, the ritual at that point and
- 53:36conserve your efforts to be something that is you know
- 53:41isolated and reserved to the space that you can have some
- 53:45governance over to preserve that sacredness because it is its
- 53:51sacred. It's its Sacred Space.
- 53:55So, yeah. Well, you know and even like
- 54:00Look at my parents place, you know, like they're not a part of
- 54:06our rituals, but as far as their award though they are, my dad is
- 54:16even said like when Kai ago and I go camping out there.
- 54:19You know, guys like I'm scared that somebody bad is going to
- 54:24come back and get us and our tent, and my dad said they're
- 54:28going to get have to get Me first baby.
- 54:32Yes, exactly. You ain't got to worry about
- 54:37that kiyah. You know, I can hear your dad
- 54:38saying they're not a part of the ritual but they are.
- 54:42Yeah, they have a they have a role absolutely.
- 54:55And that's a beautiful thing. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 55:04It's definitely nothing. That's, you know, casual or
- 55:06Cavalier about it. I mean, and I think maybe that
- 55:10that is something else to consider is If there's nothing
- 55:15just happenstance with when it comes to Ritual, right?
- 55:18Like sometimes you just feel in the moment to do something at a
- 55:22certain space at a certain time and you you can't always control
- 55:24that but for anything that's like structured ordered planned
- 55:27in that sort of way like playing it the right way.
- 55:29Do the do the thing and get it too.
- 55:32Occur in a space that you have that that level of control and
- 55:37somewhat over. So I hope that that you know for
- 55:40skull that works thank you again for writing in and and asking
- 55:44that really thought-provoking question and you know, for
- 55:48anybody. Yeah it really is.
- 55:50I think, you know, because a lot of folks out here that listen
- 55:52and watch my stuff and other content providers out here,
- 55:55content creators, you know are are looking for answers to stuff
- 56:00like this or at least in sight the stuff like this.

- 56:53looking forward to exploring those and then maybe you know
- 56:57you dingo or others that want to talk about some of the stuff
- 57:01because they are, there's Really.
- 57:03People put thought and put effort into the things that they
- 57:06want to have discussed or talked about, and I feel like it would
- 57:09be doing them an injustice if we didn't return, you know, when a
- 57:14response with the same level of diligence.
- 57:16So even though a lot of these things aren't necessarily, you
- 57:19know, the one in done answers, like a lot of people have
- 57:22differing opinions on things. I feel when we approach when we
- 57:26approach these types of inquiries and questions that
- 57:29we're taking a holistic approach, watch to it and we're
- 57:33considering all points and we're opening up the doors to other
- 57:36rope possibilities, you know, Realms of possibility.
- 57:39I guess so may not be historical may not be based on fact but
- 57:43it's based off of experience and maybe our experiences can help.
- 57:49Inspire you to live your own experiences.
- 57:53I think that's something good to hope.
- 57:54For for, for all of us out here, you know, it's not us telling
- 57:58you how to do the thing or when to do the thing or where to do
- 58:02the thing or what to do specifically.
- 58:05But hey, this is what we've done and this is what's kind of we
- 58:09what we've experienced and what's worked and it worked, you
- 58:14know, work for him, work for me, work for us and maybe it'll be a
- 58:18Inspiration to for something to work for YouTube.
- 58:20So but yeah, good stuff. Thank you.
- 58:25Dingo for shedding some light on it, and sharing your thoughts
- 58:29to. I know the people genuinely
