Transcript
- 0:00Speaker 1: Now this is mark some own shell on seven ten wor.
- 0:07Speaker 2: Well, hey, we got through it. It's just snow. Don't worry
- 0:11Speaker 2: about it. We used to get this all the time.
- 0:13Speaker 2: We used to get snow like this every couple of weeks.
- 0:15Speaker 2: But it's a mess in some places, and it's cold.
- 0:20Speaker 2: It's not gonna even hit the freezing mark for a
- 0:23Speaker 2: few days, so it's gonna be hard to get rid
- 0:25Speaker 2: of all this snow. You had anywhere from eight inches
- 0:28Speaker 2: six inches someplace, up to eighteen inches, depends where you are.
- 0:31Speaker 2: In New Jersey you got a little less. Rockland County,
- 0:35Speaker 2: up farther north Danbury you got a lot more. But
- 0:39Speaker 2: even Connecticut, Fairfield County you got eleven inches in most places.
- 0:43Speaker 2: Central Park you got about ten and a half inches long.
- 0:47Speaker 2: Island's a little better. We'll check in around around the
- 0:51Speaker 2: Tri state area with everybody, see how they're doing in
- 0:53Speaker 2: the snow. We'll get to Minnesota, We'll get to CBS news.
- 0:57Speaker 2: There's a little revolt going on there, and again, be
- 1:01Speaker 2: careful shoveling, Be careful shoveling, don't overdo it. You know,
- 1:06Speaker 2: there's a you know that little vacuum what they call it,
- 1:08Speaker 2: the rumba, you know the vacuum. You just turn it
- 1:12Speaker 2: on and it goes all around your house and vacuums
- 1:14Speaker 2: everything up. There's a snow blower version of that now.
- 1:20Speaker 2: In fact, there's a video of a guy trying it out.
- 1:21Speaker 2: It costs about five thousand dollars, but it's a robotic
- 1:24Speaker 2: snow blower that can clear your driveway. It's electric. You
- 1:29Speaker 2: gotta charge it for about two hours. And here's the
- 1:32Speaker 2: video of the guy. He just turns it on, sits
- 1:36Speaker 2: there drinking his coffee while he watches it, and he's
- 1:38Speaker 2: got a long driveway. He goes up and down his driveway,
- 1:41Speaker 2: clearing the snow, blowing the snow. So it's five thousand dollars,
- 1:45Speaker 2: but eventually they'll get cheaper, so in the future you
- 1:48Speaker 2: will not be shoveling snow. It'll be all automatic. Mom
- 1:53Speaker 2: Donnie was it was pretty good in this Everything seemed
- 1:56Speaker 2: to come out okay. He had the emergency management director
- 1:59Speaker 2: and team left over from the last administration. They were
- 2:03Speaker 2: pretty good. Mom Donnie was even seen at one point
- 2:06Speaker 2: shoveling a car out, helping out somebody in Brooklyn. He
- 2:09Speaker 2: got a shovel out and he was helping get it
- 2:12Speaker 2: out of the snow. But he came through it in
- 2:16Speaker 2: one piece. I mean, he's still crazy, mom, Donnie, but
- 2:19Speaker 2: this was his first management test. School today in New
- 2:22Speaker 2: York will be remote. There'll be no open school. You
- 2:26Speaker 2: have to do it by remote. I remember it as
- 2:28Speaker 2: the year city here he was talking about when he
- 2:29Speaker 2: was a kid.
- 2:30Speaker 3: I remember it as in New York City pubs, students
- 2:33Speaker 3: sitting there watching TV, open to see my school's name.
- 2:37Speaker 3: The sad truth is governed by state wall, which requires
- 2:41Speaker 3: one hundred and eighty days of construction. And there's no
- 2:44Speaker 3: room anymore in these calendars with all your holidays have
- 2:47Speaker 3: been added the first snow day. So Monday is either
- 2:49Speaker 3: going to be a remote learning day or it's going
- 2:51Speaker 3: to be in person. But make sure when you're out
- 2:54Speaker 3: of school enjoyed the summer.
- 2:55Speaker 2: So that's interesting. It's this new regulation one hundred and
- 2:58Speaker 2: eighty days require so they can't close, but remote learning
- 3:00Speaker 2: is not the same. The idea of the snow day
- 3:04Speaker 2: was like, he's right. You know, when you're a kid,
- 3:06Speaker 2: you were watching hoping your school was closed. It was
- 3:08Speaker 2: a snow day. You go out and play when a
- 3:11Speaker 2: few times you got to see the game shows and
- 3:13Speaker 2: the price is right, and a bunch of reruns on
- 3:15Speaker 2: TV during the day and it's not the same. And
- 3:19Speaker 2: the remote learning, I don't know, I don't know if
- 3:22Speaker 2: that even works. Now. He claims that they've stress tested
- 3:26Speaker 2: the bandwidth, the internet connections and everything and it should
- 3:30Speaker 2: should work. Okay, So let's get to Minnesota. Total chaos.
- 3:34Speaker 2: It's just a disastrous situation. Everybody is wrong in Minnesota.
- 3:40Speaker 2: If you look at the video, the ice agent shot
- 3:43Speaker 2: this guy named Pretty, who's a thirty seven year old nurse.
- 3:48Speaker 2: But Pretty's wrong too. He comes to interfere with a
- 3:51Speaker 2: law enforcement operation. You know, it's one thing to protest.
- 3:55Speaker 2: This is this is not protest.
- 3:57Speaker 4: You know.
- 3:58Speaker 2: Protest means you stand over there on the other side,
- 4:00Speaker 2: out of the street with signs and you yell bad
- 4:02Speaker 2: things at him. That's a protest. But when you get
- 4:04Speaker 2: right in their face, you know, when it's January sixth
- 4:07Speaker 2: and you break into the building and run around like crazy,
- 4:10Speaker 2: that's beyond protest. That's trespassing. It's mayhem. And this is mayhem.
- 4:14Speaker 2: If you watch the videos, they're very careful never to
- 4:17Speaker 2: show you the video before the minutes leading up to
- 4:20Speaker 2: preddie getting shot where he's in their face going after them.
- 4:24Speaker 2: And now also, if you're going to go after law enforcement,
- 4:28Speaker 2: if you're going to tangle with them, I wouldn't bring
- 4:31Speaker 2: a loaded gun with extra magazines. Now they say so
- 4:35Speaker 2: far right, The investigation isn't completed, but it looks like
- 4:39Speaker 2: he may not have taken out the weapon, but he
- 4:43Speaker 2: had a weapon on him. Cops usually can tell when
- 4:45Speaker 2: a guy's arm you can see a bulge somewhere. They're
- 4:47Speaker 2: pretty good at that. And we don't know if they
- 4:50Speaker 2: saw it. It was you know, his jacket was open
- 4:53Speaker 2: and they saw a flash of a weapon. But it
- 4:56Speaker 2: doesn't look like they should have shot him. There were
- 4:58Speaker 2: enough cops here to wrestle them in the ground. If
- 5:00Speaker 2: he didn't have the weapon out, there was no reason
- 5:03Speaker 2: to shoot him. It's total chaos and things can happen.
- 5:07Speaker 2: But pretty's in the wrong too. First of all, he's
- 5:10Speaker 2: committing a crime, interfering with law enforcement. And I guess
- 5:14Speaker 2: at that point that we're trying to arrest him. He
- 5:15Speaker 2: was resisting arrest, so he's committing a crime. Now, he's
- 5:18Speaker 2: legally allowed to carry the gun, he had a carry permit,
- 5:21Speaker 2: but you know, you're not allowed to carry a gun
- 5:23Speaker 2: while you're committing a crime. That's also in the law.
- 5:27Speaker 2: So it's an absolute mess. But everybody is wrong here.
- 5:30Speaker 2: Christy Nome was not good. She's immediately calling him a terrorist.
- 5:34Speaker 2: He may be an awful, crazy guy confronting law enforcement
- 5:38Speaker 2: like that, but I don't know, but being a terrorist.
- 5:40Speaker 2: But from what I hear now, Christy Nome is going
- 5:44Speaker 2: to get sidelined a little. She goes right on TV
- 5:46Speaker 2: and starts blasting away too extreme, two knee jerk. President
- 5:51Speaker 2: Trump is going to sideline her a bit, get her
- 5:53Speaker 2: off TV. Tom Holman reports to her, she's the Homeland
- 5:57Speaker 2: Security Secretary, so home and works for her. Reports to her.
- 6:01Speaker 2: The President last night changed that and Homan will now
- 6:05Speaker 2: report directly to the President, so he's cut her out
- 6:10Speaker 2: of the loop. That's a indicator of her being sidelined.
- 6:13Speaker 2: And then he's asked Holman to go to Minnesota and
- 6:17Speaker 2: try to straighten this out. So Holman, I think tonight
- 6:20Speaker 2: will be in Minnesota. Now. The two that are really
- 6:23Speaker 2: wrong are Fry the mayor, and Waltz, the governor. These
- 6:28Speaker 2: are if there was one major cause, these guys, these
- 6:31Speaker 2: Minnesota officials. You can see the video of them over
- 6:34Speaker 2: and over and over and over again, telling protesters to
- 6:38Speaker 2: go out there and to confront ice, to get in
- 6:40Speaker 2: their face, to blow the whistles, to record them with
- 6:43Speaker 2: their cameras. You know, he just encouraged this. If you
- 6:47Speaker 2: go back to like a January sixth, remember the President
- 6:49Speaker 2: said go to the capitol and protest peacefully and patriotically.
- 6:56Speaker 2: This is different Fry and Walton. There's plenty of video
- 7:00Speaker 2: of this, telling them, even after this shooting, telling him
- 7:03Speaker 2: confront ice. Don't let them get away with this, get
- 7:05Speaker 2: right in their face. That's a risky thing. What was
- 7:09Speaker 2: that old song, I fought the law and the law won.
- 7:14Speaker 2: You're asking for trouble if you go confront law enforcement
- 7:18Speaker 2: physically and get right now again, protesting is you stand
- 7:22Speaker 2: over there with signs and you yell at them, but
- 7:24Speaker 2: confronting them physically, confronting them, it's a dangerous situation. And
- 7:30Speaker 2: bringing a gun with you. Now we don't know what happened,
- 7:32Speaker 2: we haven't got all the details. By the way, the
- 7:34Speaker 2: gun was a sig handgun, and those guns are famous
- 7:38Speaker 2: for accidentally firing. There's a long history of them. It's
- 7:42Speaker 2: a very popular handgun for amateurs, but there's a long
- 7:45Speaker 2: history of them accidentally firing, so again, the investigation is
- 7:49Speaker 2: not complete. Democrats are going to use this like crazy.
- 7:54Speaker 2: One Republican, James Comer, big Republican, actually came out and
- 7:58Speaker 2: said Ice needs to pull out, him in and leave now.
- 8:02Speaker 2: The problem, you might say, we why don't they just
- 8:03Speaker 2: get out of there for a while, let it calm down.
- 8:07Speaker 2: The problem is if you withdraw ICE right now, that
- 8:10Speaker 2: means these protesters want and these are not just organic protesters.
- 8:14Speaker 2: There's now all kinds of evidence it's an organized mob
- 8:17Speaker 2: funded fueled by radical left wing groups, Soros type guys
- 8:21Speaker 2: funding this. They're finding encrypted chats giving them instructions, so
- 8:27Speaker 2: again it's an army against law enforcement. If you pull
- 8:30Speaker 2: out and give them that victory, they'll just move this
- 8:32Speaker 2: to every city. You know, Ice. Everything ICE is doing
- 8:35Speaker 2: in Minnesota, they're doing in many other cities. And the
- 8:38Speaker 2: reason there's no problems is the people aren't going crazy
- 8:42Speaker 2: trying to fight them. There's no Tim Waltz or may
- 8:46Speaker 2: or Fry riling them up. So they're doing this in
- 8:49Speaker 2: other cities and everything's going smoothly. So that's what Homan's
- 8:52Speaker 2: going to do. He'll meet with local officials and try
- 8:55Speaker 2: to work this out. So all they got to do
- 8:57Speaker 2: is get these protesters to stop the conference, the physical confrontation.
- 9:02Speaker 2: Stand over on the other side of the street. Wave
- 9:04Speaker 2: your sign and yell. That's what you're supposed to do.
- 9:06Speaker 2: You want to blow your whistles, that's fine, but you
- 9:08Speaker 2: can't go physically after law enforcement and home. It will
- 9:14Speaker 2: make that case. But Waltz and Fry have all sorts
- 9:19Speaker 2: of reasons, even though it might not be the right
- 9:21Speaker 2: thing to do, to keep doing this because it's good
- 9:23Speaker 2: for them politically. It also totally distracts from the nineteen
- 9:27Speaker 2: billion that was stolen right under their nose. So we'll
- 9:31Speaker 2: see you got everybody yell even here in New York
- 9:35Speaker 2: Kathy hokel.
- 9:36Speaker 5: But nothing more than a cell phone in his hand,
- 9:39Speaker 5: and he was trying to kill them. That's their story.
- 9:44Speaker 5: But anyone who's seen this horrific video, multiple videos, knows
- 9:50Speaker 5: that this is a shameless, bold face line.
- 9:52Speaker 2: Well, we don't know that it hasn't been investigating little
- 9:55Speaker 2: irresponsible to say that he was resisting them and fighting
- 9:58Speaker 2: with him. Now, remember, Hochel has got a run for reelection.
- 10:02Speaker 2: This year up against a very strong opponent, Bruce Blakeman,
- 10:06Speaker 2: who's got a much better track record than her governing
- 10:09Speaker 2: and probably will win. So she's going to be all
- 10:13Speaker 2: over the map. Left wing, she'll go right wing, she'll
- 10:15Speaker 2: go left wing. And of course, you know what Mom
- 10:17Speaker 2: Donnie would say.
- 10:18Speaker 6: You have massed agents who are terrorizing people across this country,
- 10:23Speaker 6: whether they're in their home, in their car, out on
- 10:25Speaker 6: the street. You have the loss of what it means
- 10:28Speaker 6: to be an American in your own country, the sense
- 10:31Speaker 6: of safety and the sense of self. That's something we
- 10:33Speaker 6: should all be fighting.
- 10:34Speaker 2: Yeah, but again, ICE is doing this in many other cities.
- 10:36Speaker 2: There's no problem. People don't get Again, there's protesters in
- 10:41Speaker 2: other cities, but they stand there, wave their sign and yell.
- 10:45Speaker 2: They don't really really try to confront them. So no, Christynoman,
- 10:49Speaker 2: you'll see her sideline. Steven Miller. I like Steven Miller,
- 10:52Speaker 2: brilliant guy, but too extreme on TV. I think you'll
- 10:55Speaker 2: see him probably not on TV so much. Now I
- 10:58Speaker 2: get remember a lot of this gets riled up. First,
- 11:01Speaker 2: it's riled up by Waltz and Fry telling people to
- 11:04Speaker 2: go go confront them those law enforcements. But Also, you
- 11:07Speaker 2: got all these lies going out. There's this fake story
- 11:10Speaker 2: about Ice arrested a five year old. You see the
- 11:13Speaker 2: five year old surrounded by Ice and even ABC News,
- 11:18Speaker 2: which by the way, I think is going to have
- 11:19Speaker 2: a major lawsuit here. Trump may get another twenty five
- 11:24Speaker 2: to thirty million out of ABC News for this story.
- 11:26Speaker 2: And it was David Muir on the Evening News that
- 11:30Speaker 2: Ice took in the custody a five year old, but
- 11:33Speaker 2: they didn't explain the story. They were there to arrest
- 11:38Speaker 2: criminal illegal alien. And when they showed up and this
- 11:41Speaker 2: criminal illegal alien saw them, he ran, He left his
- 11:45Speaker 2: house and he ran away. He just left left his
- 11:48Speaker 2: five year old there alone. So he was gone, abandoning
- 11:52Speaker 2: the five year old. Now, if you're Ice, you're not
- 11:53Speaker 2: going to just leave the kid alone. Obviously, you take
- 11:56Speaker 2: the kid. Apparently, they took the kid to McDonald's, took
- 11:59Speaker 2: care of the kid for the day before they were
- 12:01Speaker 2: able to return her to somebody in the family. But
- 12:04Speaker 2: they did not arrest her. You see the picture of
- 12:06Speaker 2: them holding her, But it's basically to save her from
- 12:09Speaker 2: I mean, the guy fled. She's alone in the street.
- 12:11Speaker 2: You can't leave a five year old alone so fake
- 12:14Speaker 2: news going crazy, distorting that whole story. Hit has problems
- 12:19Speaker 2: over at CBS. Stephen Colbert set a ratings record in January.
- 12:25Speaker 2: Good for him, Oh no, it's a record for the
- 12:28Speaker 2: lowest ratings ever. New record for the lowest ratings in
- 12:33Speaker 2: late night for Stephen Colbert in January, and especially in
- 12:36Speaker 2: the twenty five to fifty four year old demo. That's
- 12:39Speaker 2: the demo they want. He got the lowest number, just
- 12:42Speaker 2: two hundred and eighty thousand. That's the lowest number ever
- 12:46Speaker 2: for late night all time record set by Stephen Colbert.
- 12:50Speaker 2: And sixty Minutes apparently is on a hunger strike or
- 12:55Speaker 2: something like that. You know, they're trying to make changes
- 12:58Speaker 2: at sixty minutes. Clean it up. It's been very very corrupt, slanted,
- 13:03Speaker 2: biased reporting, leaving out half the story, deliberately, sometimes doctoring
- 13:08Speaker 2: up video in case of Kamala Harris, just distorting it.
- 13:12Speaker 2: Just totally corrupt. It's been going on for a while.
- 13:15Speaker 2: Barry Weiss, the new head of CBS News, wants to
- 13:17Speaker 2: fix that. She's been stepping in and looking at the
- 13:21Speaker 2: pieces first and saying, well, if you're going to run this,
- 13:23Speaker 2: you got to get a response from the other side.
- 13:25Speaker 2: You got to include that. Well, there's a rebellion there
- 13:28Speaker 2: and they've been fighting and fighting and fighting, but apparently
- 13:32Speaker 2: they're on strike now. Sixty Minutes, to everyone's surprise, ran
- 13:36Speaker 2: a rerun last night. They did not run a new show.
- 13:41Speaker 2: It was just a rerun of celebrity interviews, old celebrity
- 13:44Speaker 2: interviews that actually people have been nominated for oscars. But
- 13:48Speaker 2: in the middle of a Minnesota and all that, lot
- 13:51Speaker 2: of big stories, a lot of big news, not to
- 13:53Speaker 2: snowstorm everything, not to do a sixty minutes was crazy.
- 13:58Speaker 2: Now apparently she wants to get rid of that Alfonsi woman,
- 14:02Speaker 2: Bill Whittaker, Scott Pelley, she wants to get rid of
- 14:05Speaker 2: and a lot of the staff involved in this rebellion.
- 14:07Speaker 2: Expect them all to be gone too pretty soon. A
- 14:12Speaker 2: super Bowl a great game last night, Seahawks Patriots go
- 14:16Speaker 2: to the super Bowl. That'll be two weeks from last night,
- 14:19Speaker 2: February eighth. Normally President Trump would be at the super Bowl.
- 14:23Speaker 2: He's announced he's not going this year. He's not going
- 14:26Speaker 2: to go to the super Bowl. He said it's just
- 14:28Speaker 2: too far. It's in California. Where was the super Bowl
- 14:31Speaker 2: last year? I don't remember but it wasn't that far.
- 14:34Speaker 2: He just said's too far to go. Now, A lot
- 14:36Speaker 2: of people think the other reason is he's not happy
- 14:39Speaker 2: with the halftime entertainment. Bad Bunny and Green Day. Green
- 14:43Speaker 2: Day frontman Billy Joe Armstrong called Trump all kinds of names,
- 14:49Speaker 2: called him a Nazi or something like that, and this
- 14:52Speaker 2: Bad Bunny is just, you know, the radical left wing guy. Remember,
- 14:55Speaker 2: he wouldn't do any shows in the US. He moved
- 14:58Speaker 2: his tour out of the country because he said he
- 15:00Speaker 2: did not want to do his show anywhere where Ice was.
- 15:05Speaker 2: I mean, he's really really been attacking Trump. Yeah, I
- 15:10Speaker 2: mean he was trying to he didn't want any ICE people. Oh,
- 15:13Speaker 2: he didn't want to hear it is. He moved the
- 15:15Speaker 2: tour to Puerto Rico, didn't want to book any US
- 15:17Speaker 2: dates over fears his fans would be detained by ICE agents.
- 15:23Speaker 2: Armstrong from Green Day called Trump hitler. So I don't
- 15:27Speaker 2: think he wants to be there for that. So you
- 15:29Speaker 2: will not see him at this year's Super Bowl. Well, hey,
- 15:32Speaker 2: we'll take some calls in a moment. Eight hundred three
- 15:34Speaker 2: two one zero seven ten is the number. Eight hundred
- 15:38Speaker 2: three two one zero seven ten get.
- 15:42Speaker 1: Instant access to Mark by setting a pre set in
- 15:45Speaker 1: the iHeartRadio app for his live show and his podcast.
- 15:49Speaker 1: Now back to the Mark Simone show on wo wash.
- 15:56Speaker 2: Hey, let's take some calls. Let's go to Bill Lafayette Net.
- 16:00Speaker 2: Where is he? Bill? How you doing? Bill? You're there? No,
- 16:06Speaker 2: Let's go to uh Chris and Beth Page. Chris? How
- 16:09Speaker 2: you doing?
- 16:11Speaker 7: Hey?
- 16:11Speaker 8: Mark?
- 16:11Speaker 2: Good?
- 16:13Speaker 9: You know President Trump always plays multi level chess. So
- 16:16Speaker 9: what I would do if I was in right now,
- 16:19Speaker 9: I would quietly, not with any thunder, slowly, but surely,
- 16:23Speaker 9: remove the Ice agents from Minneapolis. Let them suffer on
- 16:27Speaker 9: their own. Let these idiots fall on their own. The
- 16:30Speaker 9: people are on the state and the city.
- 16:33Speaker 2: People say just pull out, let them have Let them
- 16:35Speaker 2: be a sanctuary city and have all the trouble that
- 16:37Speaker 2: comes with it. But then it would encourage the protesters
- 16:40Speaker 2: to go to every city and do the same thing.
- 16:42Speaker 2: You don't want that if you do it quietly, more,
- 16:45Speaker 2: they're being watched day and night. Everybody's watching them, you
- 16:48Speaker 2: wouldn't be able to do it quietly. Hey, how's the
- 16:50Speaker 2: snow out there in Beth Page?
- 16:52Speaker 9: I got exactly a Footmark. I'm about to head out
- 16:55Speaker 9: and do part two of my shelve Oh it wasn't
- 16:57Speaker 9: that bad.
- 16:58Speaker 2: Are people out you see cars driving? Or is there
- 17:00Speaker 2: traffic out there?
- 17:01Speaker 8: Yeah?
- 17:01Speaker 9: I see because in fact, right outside, I'm looking around
- 17:04Speaker 9: at the window now my street is I could see
- 17:06Speaker 9: the payment.
- 17:07Speaker 2: I like.
- 17:07Speaker 8: The guys did a great job.
- 17:08Speaker 9: That takes a great place to live.
- 17:10Speaker 8: It.
- 17:10Speaker 9: We're just they're always on top of it. So you know,
- 17:13Speaker 9: it's fine. My wife just went to seven eleven and
- 17:15Speaker 9: get me some coffees.
- 17:16Speaker 2: Things are good, all right, very good. Let's go to
- 17:19Speaker 2: Dan and Queens. Dan, how's your street look? Uh?
- 17:24Speaker 10: Normal?
- 17:25Speaker 2: Oh good, pretty good, very good.
- 17:28Speaker 10: The reason the Democrats are fighting so hard in Minnesota
- 17:34Speaker 10: is because they know that pusand Trump is onto their
- 17:37Speaker 10: money schemes, and that's what it's all about, protecting their
- 17:40Speaker 10: money flow from all the welfare programs.
- 17:42Speaker 2: Well, yeah, they got a number of reasons to fight.
- 17:44Speaker 2: A it does distract from the nineteen billion stolen in Minnesota.
- 17:49Speaker 2: But also they don't want to lose these illegals because
- 17:52Speaker 2: they need them for votes. It's one reason Minnesota became
- 17:55Speaker 2: a blue state because so many illegals got dumped there.
- 17:58Speaker 2: If you take enough of them out of there, there,
- 18:00Speaker 2: they won't have any blue votes, enough blue votes to win. Also,
- 18:03Speaker 2: if you pull enough them out of there, they can
- 18:05Speaker 2: lose a congressional seat or two. That's you know, people
- 18:09Speaker 2: don't realize how many congressional seats depend on these illegals
- 18:12Speaker 2: being there. The census counts bodies, not whether the citizens
- 18:16Speaker 2: or not. So that's why during the Biden administration, remember
- 18:19Speaker 2: those planes were flying illegals all over the place, dropping
- 18:23Speaker 2: them off in weird places. That was to add to
- 18:26Speaker 2: the census, get congressional seats there. Let's go to Chris
- 18:29Speaker 2: in Canada. Chris, how you doing?
- 18:31Speaker 8: Okay, Mack?
- 18:32Speaker 4: I wish you were back in Manhattan.
- 18:33Speaker 2: No, I tell you, well, we're in Canada. You have
- 18:35Speaker 2: snow up there.
- 18:37Speaker 8: Oh yeah, I'm in Montreal. Was minus eight yesterday and
- 18:40Speaker 8: minus fifteen the day before. So you know, I meant
- 18:45Speaker 8: I only meant to be here for three or four days,
- 18:47Speaker 8: and now I'm here for like seven eight days.
- 18:48Speaker 2: Oh you got snowed in. Airport's closed. Can't get back?
- 18:51Speaker 9: Well I don't.
- 18:51Speaker 8: I don't want to drive. I drove back and I
- 18:53Speaker 8: just called the hotel in the Saratoga to seat and
- 18:56Speaker 8: they have like eighteen inches so I got to drive
- 18:59Speaker 8: back through that, so I don't want.
- 19:00Speaker 2: To stay there.
- 19:03Speaker 8: But anyway, I agree with the man who called before.
- 19:07Speaker 8: But I think all of this is done on purpose
- 19:10Speaker 8: to take the pressure off of ill Han And uh,
- 19:13Speaker 8: of course it's finding the money. But I think this
- 19:17Speaker 8: should be the hill that the Republicans die on to
- 19:19Speaker 8: get these these these voters out of the country. Just
- 19:22Speaker 8: show how many there are and show what a difference
- 19:24Speaker 8: it makes.
- 19:25Speaker 2: I mean, all right, but you got to you do
- 19:27Speaker 2: have a problem. Listen, you can't. The shooting of Rene
- 19:29Speaker 2: Good justified, although top police officials off the record, so
- 19:34Speaker 2: you know you probably didn't have to fire. Just get
- 19:36Speaker 2: out of the way. You can cature a block or
- 19:38Speaker 2: two later. But if you wanted to fire, it's justified
- 19:42Speaker 2: if you did. I mean, totally legal. The one this weekend,
- 19:47Speaker 2: I don't know, it's questionable. It's borderline. But again, you
- 19:49Speaker 2: don't need these shootings. And uh again, everybody's to blame her.
- 19:53Speaker 2: You don't want to blame the law enforcement guys, the
- 19:55Speaker 2: ice guys, because they're in a horrible situation. The most
- 20:00Speaker 2: blame would go to Mayor Fry, Governor Wallts telling people
- 20:03Speaker 2: to go confront them, get in their face, get physical,
- 20:06Speaker 2: confront them. That's just going to cause stuff like this.
- 20:09Speaker 2: You know, look at January sixth, he had a protester
- 20:12Speaker 2: shot Ashley Babbitt, no reason to shoot her. She was
- 20:15Speaker 2: unarmed in about ten fifteen feet away. But these guys
- 20:19Speaker 2: can you know, even law enforcement, as good as they are,
- 20:22Speaker 2: they can panic sometimes in those suit But you don't
- 20:24Speaker 2: want to have these horrible, horrible, violent confrontations going on.
- 20:28Speaker 2: And that's remember January sixth. All day long, they kept
- 20:31Speaker 2: yelling at Trump, go on the air, go online, go
- 20:34Speaker 2: tell them to go home, tell them to go Why
- 20:36Speaker 2: is anybody saying this to Fry and Waltz? Tell these
- 20:39Speaker 2: people to go home. Stop the confrontations. Let's go to
- 20:42Speaker 2: Maria in Yonkers. Maria, how you doing?
- 20:45Speaker 11: Hi, Mark Great, how are you doing today?
- 20:47Speaker 2: What does Yonkers look like? Are the streets clear? Is
- 20:50Speaker 2: their traffic out there?
- 20:52Speaker 11: It's awful?
- 20:53Speaker 4: Awful?
- 20:54Speaker 11: And I know our mayor has aspirations of I don't
- 20:56Speaker 11: know if it's true, but maybe you can verify becoming
- 20:59Speaker 11: lieutenant governor. But he's not doing a great job if
- 21:01Speaker 11: he wants to become lieutenant governor. That streets are awful.
- 21:05Speaker 4: Out here.
- 21:06Speaker 10: You have about two.
- 21:06Speaker 11: Feet of snow.
- 21:07Speaker 2: Oh, so you're not going to work today, obviously remote today?
- 21:12Speaker 2: Oh good? And what do you want to say, Maria?
- 21:15Speaker 11: I just wanted the comments on may and Spana. You
- 21:17Speaker 11: got to do a better job here in Yonkers.
- 21:19Speaker 2: Oh, who's the mayor of Yonkers?
- 21:22Speaker 7: Mike Spanish.
- 21:23Speaker 2: Oh, Mike span All right, Mike Spano, if you're listening,
- 21:25Speaker 2: start plowing, more plowing, that's right.
- 21:28Speaker 11: Start plowing.
- 21:29Speaker 10: That's correct.
- 21:30Speaker 11: My daughter was first responder and very hot time getting
- 21:34Speaker 11: out of the neighborhood here.
- 21:35Speaker 2: Terrible. All right, Well, I hope it gets better today.
- 21:37Speaker 2: I hope they get those plows out there. Let's go
- 21:39Speaker 2: to Patrick and Connecticut. Where are you in Connecticut? Patrick?
- 21:43Speaker 7: Old Line, Connecticut.
- 21:44Speaker 2: Mark? Did you get that's way up there? You didn't
- 21:47Speaker 2: get snow up there, did you?
- 21:48Speaker 8: Yeah?
- 21:48Speaker 4: We did.
- 21:49Speaker 7: We got a better foot Oh. But I wanted to
- 21:53Speaker 7: say that it's time on the opposite of the people
- 21:56Speaker 7: that are calling in, I think we need to dial up,
- 21:58Speaker 7: not dial back. You know, we have to work within
- 22:01Speaker 7: the poss Coomatatas Act, but it's time to send in
- 22:05Speaker 7: the active army to provide security for our ice agents.
- 22:09Speaker 7: Provide security for federal buildings. It's time to take It's
- 22:15Speaker 7: time to dial it up or this will get out
- 22:17Speaker 7: of control. It's already talking. I think the Attorney General
- 22:21Speaker 7: in Arizona's already talking about how to use this as
- 22:24Speaker 7: civil and the civil disobedience.
- 22:27Speaker 2: Yeah, all right, well you got a good point there.
- 22:28Speaker 2: You could use the Insurrection Act and send in the military.
- 22:31Speaker 2: Now the purpose of the military. ICE needs to do
- 22:33Speaker 2: their job. Protesters again, if they want to protest, you
- 22:36Speaker 2: stand over there other side of the street with your
- 22:38Speaker 2: signs and you yell. And normally this is the real
- 22:41Speaker 2: difference in Minnesota. Normally police would be containing the protesters
- 22:45Speaker 2: behind barricades. But the crazy left wing governor and mayor
- 22:51Speaker 2: in Minnesota want this trouble, so they've pulled the police out.
- 22:54Speaker 2: So with the Insurrection Act, you can send in the military.
- 22:56Speaker 2: It's been done many, many times. It was done Rodney
- 23:01Speaker 2: King riots in La. They sent in the military to
- 23:03Speaker 2: maintain order and control things. So the military could come
- 23:08Speaker 2: in just to set up barricades and contain the protesters.
- 23:11Speaker 2: So they're not physically all over the ICE agents. They're
- 23:15Speaker 2: across the street on the other side of the street.
- 23:18Speaker 2: Yewling and screaming. That's fine, blowing their whistles, but no
- 23:21Speaker 2: physical confrontation. So that's another answer. But Tom Holman is
- 23:25Speaker 2: on his way to Minnesota. He's going to meet with
- 23:28Speaker 2: everybody there try to settle this. Hey, we'll talk to
- 23:30Speaker 2: the great talk show host Howie Carr coming up next.
- 23:33Speaker 2: Let's see what he thinks about all of this. Right
- 23:35Speaker 2: after the news on seven to ten wor you know
- 23:39Speaker 2: what's why?
- 23:40Speaker 1: He tells you why Mark Simone, He's on seven tenor Well.
- 23:46Speaker 2: Howie Carr one of the great talk show hosts in America.
- 23:49Speaker 2: You can hear a show on iHeart and can get
- 23:51Speaker 2: a show as podcast iHeart, or just go to Howie
- 23:55Speaker 2: Carrshow dot com. You get everything there, including his best
- 23:58Speaker 2: selling books, Great great books by Howi Carr. Just go
- 24:02Speaker 2: to Howie Carr Show dot com. Howie Carr, how you
- 24:05Speaker 2: doing very good?
- 24:08Speaker 4: Very good? I know one thing. Trump's not pulling anybody
- 24:11Speaker 4: out of Minnesota.
- 24:12Speaker 2: You agree, Yeah, No, you can't do that because then
- 24:15Speaker 2: these organized the networks pushing these protesters would head to
- 24:19Speaker 2: every other city. It would never stop then.
- 24:21Speaker 4: But right right, and I mean that's that's his mo.
- 24:24Speaker 4: You know from day one. You know, you never complain,
- 24:27Speaker 4: you never explain, right, you know, and you never back down.
- 24:31Speaker 4: So he's I mean, you know he's going to send
- 24:33Speaker 4: Homan there, I guess, but you know, instead of no.
- 24:36Speaker 2: But you know, I don't.
- 24:38Speaker 4: I don't think there's that much of a change. I mean,
- 24:41Speaker 4: you know, the fact is Mark, as he said in
- 24:43Speaker 4: the True Social Post. You know, all these states much
- 24:47Speaker 4: much larger than Minnesota, like, for instance, the state where
- 24:52Speaker 4: I am, Florida, Texas, even Arizona, Georgia, North Carolina, some
- 24:58Speaker 4: of them even have Democrats. They've had no such problems
- 25:02Speaker 4: as this done.
- 25:04Speaker 2: Well you remember January sixth, all Daily News and the
- 25:07Speaker 2: Democrats screaming to President Trump, go on TV, tell them
- 25:09Speaker 2: to go home, tell them to go home to the well,
- 25:11Speaker 2: how come you haven't heard anybody calling for Fry or
- 25:14Speaker 2: Waltz to tell the protesters to go home and stop
- 25:17Speaker 2: this right right?
- 25:18Speaker 4: Yeah, you know, so much has changed here. You know,
- 25:21Speaker 4: remember when the Democrats they believe all women meet too,
- 25:26Speaker 4: all that stuff. Now they're going into the streets to
- 25:30Speaker 4: defend these people, many many of whom are convicted of
- 25:35Speaker 4: domestic abuse. Remember when the Democrats had mothers against drunk drivers.
- 25:40Speaker 4: Were they wanted to lock up all the drunk drivers.
- 25:42Speaker 4: Now many many of these people are drunk drivers. Whatever Mark,
- 25:46Speaker 4: whatever happened to the mothers against drunk drivers? Yeah, and
- 25:50Speaker 4: then they wanted to repeal this literally repeal the Second
- 25:54Speaker 4: Amendment that was part of Hillary Clinton's twenty sixteen campaign.
- 25:59Speaker 4: Now they're uh, now they're saying, oh, this is a
- 26:02Speaker 4: you know, you have the right to carry uh, you know,
- 26:05Speaker 4: a firearm in public. And and you know, the the
- 26:09Speaker 4: Michael Byrd who killed an unarmed Air Force veteran named
- 26:13Speaker 4: Ashley Babbitt. He was he was a hero. He was
- 26:16Speaker 4: you know, he was the greatest law man since Wyatt Earp,
- 26:19Speaker 4: you know, shooting an unarmed woman. And now this the
- 26:22Speaker 4: these guys in Minneapolis, this this guy was hard that
- 26:26Speaker 4: he had too fully looaded magazines and they shoot him
- 26:30Speaker 4: and they're they're Nazis. I mean, they can turn on
- 26:34Speaker 4: a dime here. And you know, you've seen all these
- 26:36Speaker 4: these videos. You're you're posting some of them, you know,
- 26:39Speaker 4: uh a Biden of of Obama, of Clinton, of Hillary Clinton,
- 26:46Speaker 4: Amy Klobashar all talking about the need for Pelosi Feinstein. Oh,
- 26:51Speaker 4: you know, the the illegal aliens are coming over here,
- 26:53Speaker 4: Schumer to take welfare that you know, Bernie Sanders says,
- 26:59Speaker 4: you're not our country if you don't have a border,
- 27:01Speaker 4: and it's a Koch brother plot to open up the borders.
- 27:07Speaker 4: It really is orwellian, isn't it.
- 27:09Speaker 2: Yeah, it's But if you were the president, if you
- 27:13Speaker 2: were a president Trump, would you go on TV more?
- 27:15Speaker 2: Would you try to explain this more? Uh? I mean,
- 27:19Speaker 2: I know he's going to kind of pull Nome out
- 27:20Speaker 2: of the out of the loop and have home and
- 27:23Speaker 2: report directly to him. But you keep doing what you're doing.
- 27:27Speaker 2: But wouldn't you kind of tone down the rhetoric a
- 27:29Speaker 2: little cool?
- 27:31Speaker 4: I mean, who's who's uh you know, who's I mean,
- 27:33Speaker 4: who's really pushing the rhetoric? I mean the you know,
- 27:36Speaker 4: you know, they they they say, look, here's the guy
- 27:39Speaker 4: we were trying to pick up on Saturday. And like
- 27:41Speaker 4: I said, he's he's he's basically a career criminal. I mean,
- 27:45Speaker 4: he's he's he's a domestic abuser, he's driving without a license.
- 27:50Speaker 4: I'm certain he's on welfare at least one or two
- 27:53Speaker 4: three forms of welfare. I mean, you know, you know,
- 27:57Speaker 4: how much do you do you have to come on
- 27:58Speaker 4: and defend to eat uh each pinch that you make
- 28:02Speaker 4: of one of these uh, these gang bangers.
- 28:05Speaker 2: Yeah, hey, this guy is pretty is a nurse. Uh.
- 28:10Speaker 2: But and it's perfectly legal to carry a gun. He's
- 28:12Speaker 2: got a license. But why would you have a gun
- 28:15Speaker 2: with extra magazines? What was he expecting? How why would
- 28:20Speaker 2: you bring them? We're going to confront police.
- 28:22Speaker 4: That's what I mean. Well, what was he thinking? I mean,
- 28:25Speaker 4: it's one thing that they say, oh he had a
- 28:27Speaker 4: he had a All he had was his cell phone
- 28:29Speaker 4: and he was recording them on his camera. But he
- 28:32Speaker 4: had the gun. I mean, wasn't that a provocative act?
- 28:38Speaker 4: I mean again, they they they've been saying all along,
- 28:40Speaker 4: we need common sense gun reform. You can't carry guns
- 28:43Speaker 4: in public. They go, you know, when a when a
- 28:45Speaker 4: state like Florida or Texas passes open carry, or even
- 28:49Speaker 4: New Hampshire I think as open carry, they go in saying,
- 28:53Speaker 4: now now they're now they you know, they sound like uh,
- 28:56Speaker 4: you know the Founding Fathers, you know, refusing to to
- 29:00Speaker 4: by the Constitution until they passed the Bill of Rights.
- 29:03Speaker 2: You know.
- 29:04Speaker 4: I mean again, there there's there is absolutely no consistency
- 29:07Speaker 4: with these people, and it's a and do you really
- 29:09Speaker 4: think they care about about pretty good? Pretty and good?
- 29:14Speaker 4: This is there there, you know, there there cannon fodder
- 29:18Speaker 4: in the fundamental transformation of America.
- 29:21Speaker 2: Yeah, and then, uh, fake news is always bad, but
- 29:24Speaker 2: been really bad this past week. The fake story about
- 29:27Speaker 2: arresting a five year old that never happened.
- 29:29Speaker 4: And yeah, yeah, they did the same thing in Massachusetts
- 29:32Speaker 4: and Leminster. You know the guy, the guy ran into
- 29:34Speaker 4: the house and this is this is their mo o.
- 29:37Speaker 4: You know, if you catch them, they run into the
- 29:39Speaker 4: house and try to escape, and then you grab the
- 29:41Speaker 4: kid and what do you what do you do with
- 29:44Speaker 4: the kid? You know, it happened. It actually has happened
- 29:47Speaker 4: twice in Massachusetts. I'm sure it's happened all over the
- 29:49Speaker 4: country as well. They arrested this kid in the Milford
- 29:54Speaker 4: He was like a soccer player because his his father
- 29:57Speaker 4: was an illegal alien with a record as long as
- 29:59Speaker 4: his arm, and they pulled they pulled them over looking
- 30:03Speaker 4: for the father, and the father ran into the woods,
- 30:05Speaker 4: and so they grabbed the kid, who's also an illegal alien.
- 30:08Speaker 4: What are they supposed to do?
- 30:10Speaker 2: Yeah, obviously you have to take the kid. You can't
- 30:11Speaker 2: just leave the kid alone five years old. But hey,
- 30:15Speaker 2: Hallie Carr from New England, give us some snow advice.
- 30:18Speaker 2: We got like ten inches here and we're in panic.
- 30:22Speaker 2: This would be like a spring day in Boston.
- 30:24Speaker 4: Wouldn't it. I don't know, it's not a great day anywhere.
- 30:29Speaker 4: My advice is to is to move to Florida, like
- 30:32Speaker 4: I have done for the six months. At one day
- 30:34Speaker 4: of the year, Mark, I don't want to rub it in,
- 30:37Speaker 4: but it's eighty degrees right now.
- 30:39Speaker 2: Yeah. But you know, as they say, the problem with
- 30:41Speaker 2: living in Florida is you have to live in Florida.
- 30:43Speaker 2: So I mean it's kind of like basically a big
- 30:46Speaker 2: retirement home down there.
- 30:49Speaker 4: Not really. I mean again, they've they've arrested more illegal
- 30:53Speaker 4: aliens in Florida than anywhere in the country except for Texas.
- 30:56Speaker 4: And we haven't had a single riot. And you know,
- 31:00Speaker 4: the you know, property values are through the roof. I
- 31:04Speaker 4: mean as opposed to say, New York City, how are
- 31:07Speaker 4: the how are the commercial property values doing in Manhattan?
- 31:10Speaker 2: Mark? Well, actually they're doing great, believe it or not.
- 31:13Speaker 2: We had a report from Steve Cuzo commercial Building Leasing
- 31:17Speaker 2: all that is setting records in the even with mom. Donnie.
- 31:20Speaker 2: You know, you got like seven major skyscrapers going up
- 31:24Speaker 2: in midtown and commercial leasing is going nuts right now.
- 31:28Speaker 4: I'd rather invest in West Palm Beach where the Wells
- 31:32Speaker 4: Fargo is just moving their wealth management.
- 31:36Speaker 2: Unit. All right, you can't win. You can't argue with
- 31:39Speaker 2: people in Florida. They love Florida, so it's impossible. Hey,
- 31:43Speaker 2: if you if you want to listen to how He
- 31:45Speaker 2: car or get his podcast, go to Howie carsshow dot

- 33:38Speaker 2: Well. Just looking at the snow total from all over
- 33:42Speaker 2: the place. Yeah, it's about no Manhattan, it was quite
- 33:47Speaker 2: a difference. Washington Heights thirteen inches, Central Park ten inches,
- 33:53Speaker 2: parts of Queens eleven inches, Williamsburg ten inches. New Jersey
- 33:58Speaker 2: wide range from like eight to seventeen inches, depending where
- 34:03Speaker 2: you are in New Jersey. Let's see Fairfield County pretty bad,
- 34:09Speaker 2: eleven inches in most places, a Bridgeport a little more.
- 34:12Speaker 2: Then if you go north dan Berry, Rockland, they really
- 34:15Speaker 2: got hit hard. Now the problem is it's going to
- 34:18Speaker 2: be freezing for the rest of the week. Freezing not
- 34:22Speaker 2: enough to melt any snow. So today may be the
- 34:27Speaker 2: warmest day of the week. It'll get into the twenties,
- 34:29Speaker 2: but then it could be in the teens. Let mean check, Yeah,
- 34:33Speaker 2: low twenties for most of the week. So you can
- 34:36Speaker 2: shovel the streets and pile it up, but it won't
- 34:40Speaker 2: go anywhere you need to actually melt it. Now, you
- 34:43Speaker 2: might see some places that are cleared up, you know,
- 34:48Speaker 2: if you're out in the suburbs, and most of the
- 34:50Speaker 2: places you go the shopping center, the mall, half the
- 34:54Speaker 2: parking lot has gone because they've had to pile up
- 34:56Speaker 2: the snow in places, so you lose a lot of
- 35:00Speaker 2: parking spaces. Now believing that there's some malls that actually
- 35:02Speaker 2: have these snow melters over on the side. It looks
- 35:05Speaker 2: like some big mechanical thing and the plows pick up
- 35:08Speaker 2: the snow, dump it into there, it melts, it puts
- 35:10Speaker 2: it down the drain, and it could actually totally clear
- 35:13Speaker 2: they're parking lots. I'm looking. I've been checking all the Westchester, Connecticut,
- 35:17Speaker 2: New Jersey stuff. Looks like everything's reopening today. Stores are reopening.
- 35:22Speaker 2: The supermarkets that were closed yesterday are reopening. But again,
- 35:26Speaker 2: the ice is not going to go anywhere for a while.
- 35:29Speaker 2: The snow and again freezing, So be very careful out
- 35:33Speaker 2: there walking. Don't slip, careful on the sidewalks. Manhattan. The
- 35:38Speaker 2: great thing about Manhattan, nothing ever it closes. Manhattan was great.
- 35:42Speaker 2: Last night. I went out walking around. The sidewalks were
- 35:45Speaker 2: a little messy, but you could walk around and every
- 35:47Speaker 2: time you'd look into a restaurant it was packed. Supermarkets
- 35:50Speaker 2: were open. That's Manhattan. Tom Holman, on his way to Minnesota,
- 35:57Speaker 2: President Trump tweeting out yesterday we'll get to this in
- 35:59Speaker 2: the next day. He is kind of sidelining Christy Nome
- 36:03Speaker 2: a little, But what's he going to do there? Wall
- 36:05Speaker 2: Street Journal, which is not very Trump friendly, really went
- 36:09Speaker 2: after him. We'll get to all of that coming up,
- 36:10Speaker 2: and we'll get to the Milania film and we'll get
- 36:13Speaker 2: to will there be a shutdown over defunding ice? We'll
- 36:16Speaker 2: get to that, and Bruce Blakeman will be with us,
- 36:19Speaker 2: the county executive, best governor in New York. That's basically
- 36:22Speaker 2: what a county executive is. We'll get to that coming
- 36:25Speaker 2: up in the next hour. Lots to talk about. Will
- 36:27Speaker 2: bring you all the latest on the snow, the storm
- 36:29Speaker 2: and more. Mark Simone here every day ten to noon
