- 0:00Speaker 1: This is the Ben and Ashley I Almost Famous podcast
- 0:03Speaker 1: with iHeartRadio.
- 0:05Speaker 2: It's another episode of The Golden Bachelor. We're week six.
- 0:08Speaker 2: It's an emotional episode, one that I will theme us Indiana.
- 0:12Speaker 1: Boys.
- 0:14Speaker 2: We just seem to uh yeah, we just have big hearts.
- 0:18Speaker 2: We just have big hearts. We just really want love.
- 0:21Speaker 3: I was like, Gary, what in the world are you doing?
- 0:25Speaker 2: Oh man, all right, well, let's start out with this.
- 0:28Speaker 2: Uh Teresa's hometown date in New Jersey. Uh. It's a
- 0:32Speaker 2: beautiful start to this episode. I absolutely love hometown dates
- 0:39Speaker 2: on The Golden Bachelo. I didn't know I would because
- 0:43Speaker 2: of the Green kids being involved, and also the kids
- 0:45Speaker 2: being involved and the emotion that comes out of all
- 0:48Speaker 2: of them. I think it is awesome.
- 0:51Speaker 3: Nobody's tough though you did you notice that there was
- 0:54Speaker 3: like no villainous characters trying.
- 0:57Speaker 2: To get really say two years old?
- 1:00Speaker 3: He's the adult here?
- 1:01Speaker 2: Yeah, Like, what are you gonna do? Be like, hey man,
- 1:04Speaker 2: I don't think you're mature.
- 1:06Speaker 3: Are you really ready for something serious? It's like, I
- 1:09Speaker 3: don't know, you get oriented? Are you gonna want to
- 1:11Speaker 3: hook up with all these ladies after you've become the Bachelor?
- 1:15Speaker 2: I mean Yeah, there's no tough being needed, and I
- 1:17Speaker 2: think it's a really beautiful piece too. To this, we'll
- 1:22Speaker 2: kick it off again. We're in New Jersey with Teresa's family.
- 1:27Speaker 2: I you know, have felt strongly about Teresa.
- 1:30Speaker 3: Yeah, I know, you really think Teresa is like gonna
- 1:32Speaker 3: be here. I don't know. Again, I just I don't
- 1:35Speaker 3: know what it is about Teresa. I just think that
- 1:37Speaker 3: she's silly. She's just like she's like a little fairy,
- 1:40Speaker 3: That's what she is. And she's like wearing this like
- 1:42Speaker 3: little Sutton dress and I'm just like, just like a
- 1:45Speaker 3: little fairy. She just she contrasts the other two of them,
- 1:49Speaker 3: for sure, because the other two of them seems so
- 1:51Speaker 3: similar and vibes to me Faith and Leslie.
- 1:54Speaker 2: Well, and I think we see a little bit of
- 1:56Speaker 2: that because I understand, I understand what you're saying. There
- 1:58Speaker 2: is that level of Teresa where you're like, she feels
- 2:02Speaker 2: at times maybe a little naive for being seven years old,
- 2:07Speaker 2: a little a little like just happy to be there
- 2:11Speaker 2: kind of feeling. However, I think we see that cleared up.
- 2:15Speaker 2: And this is one of the reasons I like this
- 2:17Speaker 2: week's hometown. When it comes to her daughter speaking about
- 2:19Speaker 2: her mother, saying she just really is like the nicest person.
- 2:23Speaker 2: Then we hear the grandkids say, Grandma's over all the time,
- 2:26Speaker 2: she's a huge piece of our life.
- 2:29Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 2:29Speaker 2: I think Teresa is genuinely, down to her soul, just
- 2:34Speaker 2: a really joy filled sweet human who, yes, maybe comes
- 2:40Speaker 2: off like a little fairy like ooh, like I'm just
- 2:42Speaker 2: happy to be here. However, I think there's a depth
- 2:46Speaker 2: and I think a commitment to kindness and joy that
- 2:48Speaker 2: she has that we're seeing based on what her family
- 2:52Speaker 2: said about her, and I think that's beautiful.
- 2:56Speaker 3: To be specific, Gary was talking to the grandkids and
- 3:00Speaker 3: they say she comes over a lot because she's lonely,
- 3:03Speaker 3: which is so sad. And then they say you should
- 3:07Speaker 3: be the new papa for us. And then this daughter.
- 3:12Speaker 3: I got emotional when the daughter was saying that, like
- 3:16Speaker 3: it's not a replacement for my dad and that her
- 3:19Speaker 3: really wanting this for her mom. And I was like,
- 3:22Speaker 3: oh my god, could I ever feel that way? I
- 3:25Speaker 3: don't know, it would be so I don't know. So
- 3:28Speaker 3: I think it's like a testament. It's a testament to
- 3:32Speaker 3: how much her mom is like happy with Gary.
- 3:35Speaker 2: I mean, her daughter is magnificent in this the stuff
- 3:38Speaker 2: that she says about her mom, and then you know
- 3:40Speaker 2: what she said about her late father, and then also
- 3:45Speaker 2: just her wisdom and being like, hey, you know, it's
- 3:47Speaker 2: going to be sad to not see my mom here.
- 3:48Speaker 2: She has to move, but I'm the child in this
- 3:51Speaker 2: relationship still, and that's my mom and she has to
- 3:54Speaker 2: do whatever she wants to do. I also think it's
- 3:57Speaker 2: worth noting Teresa's comment to her sisters when she's like,
- 4:02Speaker 2: I just I loved it. I just love the Golden
- 4:04Speaker 2: Bachelor so much. She says, I'm competing them against a
- 4:09Speaker 2: bunch of sixty year old and she's like insecure about it,
- 4:13Speaker 2: and You're like, come on, I know at this point
- 4:16Speaker 2: you're just all doing your best.
- 4:18Speaker 3: The sisters are seriously so sold that she's on Cloud night.
- 4:22Speaker 3: Cloud nine says she's found her guy, and I'm like,
- 4:26Speaker 3: oh my god, this is like so intense because like
- 4:28Speaker 3: it's not her guy yet.
- 4:30Speaker 2: Well. I don't have a great comparison to this actually,
- 4:34Speaker 2: but I do have people that I know who live
- 4:38Speaker 2: in I'm not gonna say retirement community, yeah, retirement communities
- 4:41Speaker 2: like fifteen over communities, right, that I know, and they've
- 4:45Speaker 2: lost a spouse, and they are constantly dating. They're always
- 4:49Speaker 2: going to like the happy hours and the cocktail parties
- 4:52Speaker 2: and talking about what doctor so and so used to
- 4:54Speaker 2: do and what he's been doing, and all these things
- 4:57Speaker 2: are always said. And then every once in a while,
- 4:59Speaker 2: you know, you get the comment like doctor so and
- 5:02Speaker 2: so and I went to dinner last night at the
- 5:04Speaker 2: local steakhouse or whatever. And there is never this like
- 5:09Speaker 2: questioning these people are close to me in my life.
- 5:12Speaker 2: There's never this questioning of like is he the right
- 5:14Speaker 2: guy for you or not? It's just simply a cool
- 5:18Speaker 2: you have companionship. Like I don't care what this dude
- 5:21Speaker 2: is next to they saying, or like what he's communicating.
- 5:24Speaker 2: I'm just happy now in your seventies and your eighties
- 5:27Speaker 2: that you have somebody to go to dinner with. And
- 5:29Speaker 2: that makes me thrilled. I don't know if her sisters
- 5:32Speaker 2: have that as much of a like kind of a
- 5:36Speaker 2: mentality of anything goes like I do when people tell
- 5:39Speaker 2: me this, but I kind of I just don't question it,
- 5:42Speaker 2: like I don't ask them.
- 5:44Speaker 3: Is I think I think you're right? Yeah, that's also
- 5:49Speaker 3: like with everybody else. And you know, I've said this
- 5:53Speaker 3: last week. I just don't understand how they're falling in
- 5:56Speaker 3: love so fast. I'm like, I don't feel you guys
- 5:59Speaker 3: have hung out like nearly enough to feel this. Like
- 6:02Speaker 3: I'm so confused because it just seems like so much
- 6:05Speaker 3: less time on the actual Bachelor, And I'm like, you
- 6:07Speaker 3: guys have gone on one date and you feel like
- 6:09Speaker 3: you're in love already. I'm so I'm like, really, guys,
- 6:15Speaker 3: really yeah fast.
- 6:18Speaker 2: Well, I think it goes right back to what I
- 6:19Speaker 2: was saying. I think at this point in your life,
- 6:21Speaker 2: companionship is love. It's it's close, yeah, yeah, and it's
- 6:26Speaker 2: and it's nice.
- 6:27Speaker 3: Having somebody you want to hang out.
- 6:29Speaker 2: With is love. Yeah. Having somebody that looks, you know,
- 6:31Speaker 2: across the table at you and you can carry conversation with,
- 6:34Speaker 2: or you can go to bed at night with and yeah,
- 6:37Speaker 2: not have to say a word, and that you can
- 6:38Speaker 2: wake up and maybe go to the pumpkin patch together
- 6:40Speaker 2: and you both have a laugh or two. Like it
- 6:43Speaker 2: looks different. You're not trying to raise a family together.
- 6:46Speaker 2: You're not trying to you know, go through the issues
- 6:50Speaker 2: when it comes to losing a job together. At this point,
- 6:53Speaker 2: you're both have.
- 6:54Speaker 3: To be perfectly compatible in those big life situations.
- 6:58Speaker 2: You're just looking for a companion, and I think it's
- 7:00Speaker 2: I think it's wonderful. So to close up Teresa's date
- 7:03Speaker 2: because she is in or, I guess she was number
- 7:06Speaker 2: one for me. She is the only one that Gary
- 7:09Speaker 2: cannot say, I love you too. Mmm mmmm.
- 7:12Speaker 3: He says, Oh, that's so special to hear thank you
- 7:15Speaker 3: so much. It's just oh, that makes me feel so good. Yeah.
- 7:18Speaker 3: So this, to me is the dead giveaway that she's
- 7:20Speaker 3: the one that is not going to be picked at
- 7:22Speaker 3: the Rost ceremony, which we have a teaser for, because
- 7:25Speaker 3: he does not complete the Row ceremony. He only gives
- 7:28Speaker 3: the rose to Leslie. So let's let's move on to Faith.
- 7:32Speaker 3: So home down Faith is she kind of lives in
- 7:35Speaker 3: the middle of nowhere, Washington State, and I don't I
- 7:39Speaker 3: want to know, like, do have we ever talked about
- 7:41Speaker 3: like what her marytal past has been, like was she
- 7:43Speaker 3: ever was she ever married? Because we've never had her
- 7:47Speaker 3: bring up an ex husband or so I don't remember.
- 7:51Speaker 2: I don't, I don't remember, but no, I don't. I
- 7:54Speaker 2: don't think.
- 7:54Speaker 3: So we know she doesn't lost a husband, but she
- 7:57Speaker 3: has two sons and they say that she falls very
- 8:01Speaker 3: hard and fast, and they also say that she's that like.
- 8:07Speaker 3: They ask him whether or not he's in love with her,
- 8:10Speaker 3: and he's like pretty much. Yeah, he said yes here
- 8:14Speaker 3: and that was another thing at Teresa's hometown he said
- 8:20Speaker 3: when asked by the daughter, are you in love with
- 8:23Speaker 3: my mom? He would go, he goes, I'm not really sure.
- 8:26Speaker 3: I remember what that feeling. I don't really know if
- 8:29Speaker 3: I can qualify this yet. Remember he was like, it
- 8:33Speaker 3: was nineteen sixty something when I fell in love with
- 8:36Speaker 3: my wife, and I'm not sure is this falling in
- 8:38Speaker 3: love now? And then he was certain when it was
- 8:41Speaker 3: with Faith. I just really I'm surprised that they made
- 8:44Speaker 3: this a teaser because it didn't feel like it's a
- 8:47Speaker 3: big cliffhanger to me, because it's just so obvious that
- 8:51Speaker 3: it's between Leslie and Faith now, because those are the
- 8:55Speaker 3: two that he was just like, yes, love, Yeah.
- 8:58Speaker 2: If it's not between those too, then Gary has a
- 9:01Speaker 2: lot of a lot of explaining.
- 9:06Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 9:07Speaker 2: You know. The Faith relationship has always been interesting in
- 9:10Speaker 2: me because she did get the first impression Rose, and
- 9:12Speaker 2: then we didn't really see a ton from her for
- 9:15Speaker 2: a few weeks. Then we kind of saw her come
- 9:17Speaker 2: back into the scene. I would say that the Leslie
- 9:21Speaker 2: and Teresa relationship to Gary make I just know more
- 9:25Speaker 2: about them than I do faith in Gary. It was
- 9:28Speaker 2: shocking to me when I watched this episode and I
- 9:30Speaker 2: saw him say that, and I saw him say that
- 9:33Speaker 2: in front of the family.
- 9:35Speaker 3: Mm hmm, oh, my gosh. Yes, because she looked at
- 9:38Speaker 3: him and yeah, she gave him eyes, which they keep
- 9:42Speaker 3: talking about these eyes that she gives him, and then
- 9:44Speaker 3: he said I love you. Did he say hell with
- 9:46Speaker 3: you first?
- 9:48Speaker 2: I don't know. I mean, I think it was like
- 9:50Speaker 2: kind of like simultaneously they were both like I love
- 9:53Speaker 2: you and I love you, and it was in front
- 9:55Speaker 2: of the family. This was a very intimate moment. It
- 9:58Speaker 2: was probably the most intimate moment we I've seen ever
- 10:00Speaker 2: on any bachelor show. I think, like, I don't remember
- 10:05Speaker 2: a bachelor bachelorette couple going to hometowns and sitting in
- 10:08Speaker 2: front of the family and looking at each other and
- 10:09Speaker 2: being like I love you and I love you and
- 10:11Speaker 2: kissing Like I don't remember this. Yeah, So this was
- 10:16Speaker 2: a very intimate moment. I think holds a ton of weight,
- 10:20Speaker 2: and I was shocked to see it. Because I didn't
- 10:22Speaker 2: think we would see Gary say I love you to
- 10:24Speaker 2: anybody until the very end. I had no expectation that
- 10:29Speaker 2: he would drop the L word. Now, granted again, I'm
- 10:32Speaker 2: not the one to criticize.
- 10:33Speaker 3: It to be hard for him to fall in love
- 10:34Speaker 3: after his wife.
- 10:35Speaker 2: That's why I thought it. I just thought he was
- 10:37Speaker 2: going to save it to the end and then be like, I,
- 10:40Speaker 2: you know, I haven't said this in so long, and
- 10:42Speaker 2: I know it's you know, I know, but he just like.
- 10:44Speaker 3: Remember with Michael Aliol, we like didn't want him to
- 10:48Speaker 3: say I love you until it was like him and
- 10:51Speaker 3: whoever he was with, whether it was Danielle or Katie,
- 10:54Speaker 3: because we were like, no, no, no, he hasn't said this
- 10:58Speaker 3: since his wife passed. Got to reserve it. We got
- 11:01Speaker 3: to wait a long time for it. Gary just loves,
- 11:05Speaker 3: he loves.
- 11:06Speaker 2: He's got to us in the anaboys, you got big hearts.
- 11:10Speaker 3: He's probably the last bachelor who said I love you. Well, yeah,
- 11:13Speaker 3: you didn't say to three people. Now he's say you
- 11:15Speaker 3: to three people. Why does he get a pass and
- 11:17Speaker 3: you like get cremated.
- 11:19Speaker 2: Well, you know the funny part about that is, you
- 11:21Speaker 2: know when I did it, and years later people have
- 11:25Speaker 2: kind of given me the benefit of the down, like
- 11:27Speaker 2: you were so young, like you just weren't mature yet.
- 11:29Speaker 2: And I hate when people say that because who are
- 11:33Speaker 2: they to say anything? But I've always like allowed it
- 11:36Speaker 2: to be said because it like, yeah, that's a free pass.
- 11:38Speaker 2: Like you can't be mad at me because I was
- 11:39Speaker 2: twenty six years old and trying to figure life out.
- 11:43Speaker 2: What are you gonna say about Gary?
- 11:44Speaker 3: Like Gary is in a bubble of love right now,
- 11:49Speaker 3: he has no idea what he's doing. This environment is
- 11:52Speaker 3: very difficult for somebody whose age should navigate.
- 11:55Speaker 2: I would say that's a bit. I would say, I
- 11:58Speaker 2: wish people just said it was so hard to a gay.
- 12:00Speaker 2: And Ben was feeling all sorts of emotions and hey,
- 12:03Speaker 2: he had some great people at the end, and so
- 12:04Speaker 2: of course he cared for all of them.
- 12:06Speaker 3: Wait before we move on, we got to talk about
- 12:08Speaker 3: moving places.
- 12:10Speaker 2: So it's a big conversation.
- 12:11Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, because New Jersey girl Teresa's daughter was like,
- 12:16Speaker 3: if she needs to move to be with him, I mean,
- 12:19Speaker 3: sucks for me, but what am I supposed to do?
- 12:22Speaker 3: And Faith right off the bat is like, hey, do
- 12:25Speaker 3: you like the country, because, like I can't imagine not
- 12:28Speaker 3: being around my sons. And if this were me, I'd
- 12:33Speaker 3: be like, yeah, you're not taking my mom away from me.
- 12:36Speaker 3: Can't do it.
- 12:38Speaker 2: Yeah, what do I think about that? My response would be,
- 12:42Speaker 2: I think that is a very quick way to dispel
- 12:50Speaker 2: a conversation that should be being had between the two
- 12:53Speaker 2: of you, because he obviously has kids and Grandkidso.
- 12:55Speaker 3: That's what I mean, Like, it's not fair. Okay, you
- 12:57Speaker 3: guys would have to go back and forth. That's what
- 12:59Speaker 3: that's my thought, because you're right. He dismissed the conversation.
- 13:02Speaker 3: He was like, if it's the two of us, we'll
- 13:05Speaker 3: address it at another time. But it's like, actually, like
- 13:09Speaker 3: probably should address it this early. You're not early right now?
- 13:12Speaker 3: Your top three you probably need to talk about now.
- 13:15Speaker 3: My solution would be like, you're gonna have to split
- 13:17Speaker 3: your time. You're both retired, you should be able to
- 13:21Speaker 3: or I don't know if she's retired, but yeah, especially
- 13:24Speaker 3: with his lifestyle in Indiana, they should be able to
- 13:26Speaker 3: go back and forth like a month or a month there.
- 13:28Speaker 2: Who knows. Why is everybody trying to take people out
- 13:30Speaker 2: of Indiana. It's a good state. Let us let us
- 13:32Speaker 2: out there. Jeez, it ain't all bad. Rip Bobby Knight
- 13:38Speaker 2: by the way, Oh yeah, I.
- 13:39Speaker 3: Heard about that. I was thinking about you.
- 13:41Speaker 2: Bobby Knight passed away this week. A legend in Indiana.
- 13:45Speaker 2: Anybody that's lived in Indiana, most people lived in anywhere
- 13:48Speaker 2: around the US know of Bobby Knight. What to take
- 13:50Speaker 2: a second and say. He was a huge part of
- 13:52Speaker 2: my childhood and he's one of the reasons I went
- 13:54Speaker 2: to IU, and my life would never be the same
- 13:56Speaker 2: without him. People call him complex, Sure you can do that,
- 14:01Speaker 2: but he was a good coach and his legacy will
- 14:03Speaker 2: live on forever in the hearts of US Hoosiers and
- 14:06Speaker 2: including Gary's. I'm imagining because Gary likes sports. Who doesn't
- 14:10Speaker 2: like sports? Final hometown this week, Ashley is Leslie's that's
- 14:24Speaker 2: in Minnesota. Leslie reminds me of like a Victoria Fulish's
- 14:28Speaker 2: not a villain, but she definitely stands out because of
- 14:32Speaker 2: her energy and kind of her intrigues.
- 14:34Speaker 3: Edgy, She's just edgy. She's not like, you know how,
- 14:39Speaker 3: like you qualify. It's like, yes, this is what we do, Okay.
- 14:42Speaker 3: It's like she beautiful, is she hot? She's sexy? She's sexy.
- 14:46Speaker 2: Yeah, and like she definitely knows it about herself because
- 14:52Speaker 2: of kind of how she introed into the season with.
- 14:55Speaker 3: The Prince thing like we're like, okay, you sleve with Prince. Cool,
- 14:59Speaker 3: Now you are a woman who's love with Prince. I'd
- 15:02Speaker 3: be talking about that too. Yeah, everybody wanted to back
- 15:06Speaker 3: in the day. So Leslie, you know, is a little
- 15:09Speaker 3: more edgier. She's beautiful. She has never been married, No,
- 15:14Speaker 3: she's been married twice, but she's never felt like she's
- 15:16Speaker 3: had like a great like love companion, like a life companion.
- 15:20Speaker 2: Well that makes sense based on kind of her story
- 15:23Speaker 2: of her father passing, her brother helping raise her, and
- 15:26Speaker 2: then her brother kind of which I thought was a
- 15:28Speaker 2: great scene with Gary, her brother being like, you're nothing
- 15:31Speaker 2: like the guy she usually dates, and this makes me
- 15:33Speaker 2: so happy.
- 15:34Speaker 3: They call them menscha's. He's a good person in their family,
- 15:37Speaker 3: and yeah, I thought the brother was going to be
- 15:40Speaker 3: our oh okay, here's our tough guy family move. But
- 15:43Speaker 3: he wasn't. And I loved that he wasn't. He just
- 15:47Speaker 3: welcomed Gary in.
- 15:48Speaker 2: Yeah, it was beautiful. Gary did ask for the brother's permission,
- 15:56Speaker 2: which is a big deal. We see that obviously during
- 16:00Speaker 2: The Bachelor every time or during The Bachelor at every time,
- 16:05Speaker 2: but we hadn't seen it yet on the Golden bachel.
- 16:08Speaker 3: Because there was a father figure here. He was a
- 16:10Speaker 3: father figure and the other ones didn't have that.
- 16:13Speaker 2: Yeah, so a very traditional thing kept up by Gary
- 16:17Speaker 2: and the show. It's very you know, we see something
- 16:20Speaker 2: traditional happen where he does ask for the permission, the
- 16:22Speaker 2: brother grants it to him. I don't think he would stop,
- 16:25Speaker 2: you know, stop him from that. This this couple has
- 16:31Speaker 2: legs to me. If it wasn't Teresa, it's Leslie in
- 16:34Speaker 2: my mind, because I don't know what Gary's looking for
- 16:38Speaker 2: in that companion and that love interest later on, but
- 16:40Speaker 2: I do know that Leslie would offer him. I think
- 16:43Speaker 2: the joy that we've seen Gary kind of be attracted
- 16:46Speaker 2: to the adventure that Gary is obviously still attracted to
- 16:50Speaker 2: the energy that Gary maybe too much energy, and it
- 16:55Speaker 2: feels I don't know, I wonder if there's something inside
- 16:58Speaker 2: of Gary that's like I could be the first good
- 17:00Speaker 2: man to enter into her life romantically, and that excites
- 17:03Speaker 2: me mm.
- 17:03Speaker 3: Hmm, yeah, totally. It's also cute when the grand the
- 17:06Speaker 3: kids say, do you actually I think they call her grandma,
- 17:09Speaker 3: which is dorble, Do you actually love my grandma? Are
- 17:12Speaker 3: you an actual couple? Really cute? And that, of course
- 17:16Speaker 3: starts the love thing. Is he gonna say it? What's
- 17:18Speaker 3: he gonna do? And then he does it in a
- 17:20Speaker 3: private moment when they walk out of the family time
- 17:24Speaker 3: and he just he says like, I love you, I
- 17:28Speaker 3: love you, So now we have two full I love you.
- 17:32Speaker 2: I was shocked the first time, I was floored the
- 17:34Speaker 2: second time. I don't know where Gary's going to go
- 17:37Speaker 2: from here. All I can assume is this, and I
- 17:39Speaker 2: wish I wish the same thing for myself. I'm going
- 17:43Speaker 2: to assume that Gary feels this way about these two women,
- 17:47Speaker 2: that he means what he's saying, and that he might
- 17:49Speaker 2: be in love with three women right now.
- 17:51Speaker 3: Yeah, but he didn't say even though he kind of
- 17:53Speaker 3: admits that he is in love with with Teresa afterward,
- 17:57Speaker 3: he still didn't say it to her, And I wonder
- 18:00Speaker 3: if the hometown order is accurate.
- 18:01Speaker 2: My assumption is that he feels this way, feels very strongly,
- 18:06Speaker 2: and this is what I hope we all realize and
- 18:09Speaker 2: start to understand that it is possible to feel really
- 18:12Speaker 2: strongly about multip people one time, and that we also
- 18:16Speaker 2: start to show some empathy for those on this show
- 18:19Speaker 2: who feel that way and start to understand how just
- 18:23Speaker 2: difficult getting rid of somebody you care that much about is.
- 18:28Speaker 2: It does not feel right, it does not feel good,
- 18:33Speaker 2: and in Gary's case, I think it could even be
- 18:36Speaker 2: heightened because he hasn't felt it in so long, and
- 18:41Speaker 2: that you see that emotion coming out of him, and
- 18:44Speaker 2: you see how hard it was for him to even
- 18:45Speaker 2: get to this point. And I personally am watching this
- 18:49Speaker 2: now and edge of my seat, Florida shocked that he
- 18:51Speaker 2: said it, but also my immediate thought went to Gary,
- 18:55Speaker 2: what in the world are you gonna do? Now? Like who?
- 18:57Speaker 2: Kind of like Jess's famous comment every week is Who's
- 19:00Speaker 2: taking care of Gary?
- 19:05Speaker 3: I don't know. We see him get out of the
- 19:08Speaker 3: the limo and hear whatever the suv and you're just
- 19:11Speaker 3: know he's not prepared for this rose ceremony to the
- 19:15Speaker 3: point where now we see he gives out the rose
- 19:17Speaker 3: to Leslie, which again I thought it was weird that
- 19:20Speaker 3: they didn't give the row. I thought that he would
- 19:23Speaker 3: give a rose to Faith and that it would be
- 19:26Speaker 3: a tie between Leslie and Theresa that would be the
- 19:30Speaker 3: cliffhanger because I do. I feel like Faith is number one.
- 19:33Speaker 3: I think it's so strange that you don't think that
- 19:36Speaker 3: I don't know. Ask do you know things? And like
- 19:39Speaker 3: you know things, you know things more than I do.
- 19:41Speaker 3: So now I'm like looking at you for spoilers.
- 19:43Speaker 2: No, I don't know any spoilers.
- 19:45Speaker 3: No way, you do not know anything because like you
- 19:48Speaker 3: kind of know Gary a little bit more. When is
- 19:50Speaker 3: it coming on the podcast?
- 19:51Speaker 2: I know exactly what he said in interviews, which is
- 19:54Speaker 2: that he's happy and so he ends up with somebody,
- 19:56Speaker 2: and you didn't. I mean, I think going into the sweek,
- 19:59Speaker 2: Teresa was my number one. I think coming out of
- 20:01Speaker 2: this week, I don't think I could say that any
- 20:02Speaker 2: longer because of the lack of emotion and confidence that
- 20:06Speaker 2: he showed in that relationship. I think that Faith would
- 20:09Speaker 2: probably come above Teresa for me. Okay, now the Leslie thing,
- 20:13Speaker 2: I don't know what to do with. I don't again,
- 20:15Speaker 2: That's why I said I don't know what to do
- 20:16Speaker 2: with the Leslie relationship because I thought Teresa would still
- 20:18Speaker 2: go above Leslie. But yet Leslie has the rose interesting
- 20:23Speaker 2: peace during the Bachelor when you're asked to be the bachelor.
- 20:27Speaker 2: You're asked not to leave Rose ceremonies, Like you're like,
- 20:30Speaker 2: it's just hard for them because all the cameras are
- 20:32Speaker 2: set up.
- 20:32Speaker 3: Thanks for the reveal. Yeah, so many years into this.
- 20:37Speaker 2: It just doesn't happen very often because it's hard because
- 20:39Speaker 2: the cameras are on like tripods, they're locked in, and
- 20:43Speaker 2: so when you leave.
- 20:44Speaker 3: We saw that one guy run over, we would already
- 20:48Speaker 3: have a camera, yeah, because guys, there are so many
- 20:52Speaker 3: cameras at Row ceremonies and they're all reserved for the
- 20:55Speaker 3: Row ceremony. There's like nobody hanging out like getting footed
- 20:58Speaker 3: to the kitchen. So that's why we saw the one
- 21:01Speaker 3: cameraman run over.
- 21:03Speaker 2: So that's why when I saw this, I'm like, this,
- 21:04Speaker 2: poor dude, literally Gary, and I think I did it
- 21:07Speaker 2: once where you're so overwhelmed with emotion and you can't
- 21:10Speaker 2: you don't want to be in that room, like something
- 21:12Speaker 2: just washed over me, where I was like I don't
- 21:14Speaker 2: want to be here any longer, like I can't, I
- 21:16Speaker 2: don't like doing this. I have to do it, but
- 21:18Speaker 2: I'm not ready to do it, And you just like
- 21:20Speaker 2: leave to get a breath of fresh air or something
- 21:23Speaker 2: And here's the cool other cool part when you do it,
- 21:26Speaker 2: like all the producers are in some room like outside
- 21:29Speaker 2: in the garage, and the camera guys are all locked
- 21:32Speaker 2: in on the cameras, and so when you walk away,
- 21:35Speaker 2: it's like the first time in months the year standing
- 21:38Speaker 2: alone in a room, which feels really one second, but sure,
- 21:42Speaker 2: but that split second is magical. Yeah, you healing in
- 21:46Speaker 2: your health. So Gary's obviously over. Poor guy, He's.
- 21:50Speaker 3: Gonna throw up looking at two women. Either one of
- 21:54Speaker 3: them could be the partner, my partner for the rest
- 21:57Speaker 3: of my life. Like, I really think that he would
- 21:59Speaker 3: be almost happy with all three of them right now.
- 22:02Speaker 3: And it's just like it's not picking some moving out
- 22:05Speaker 3: of a hat, but it's somewhere close.
- 22:08Speaker 2: Yeah, I think it's somewhere close with him. I think
- 22:10Speaker 2: for him, he's now weighing way notes. I kind of
- 22:16Speaker 2: wish ash that with the Golden Bachelor, maybe they would
- 22:19Speaker 2: have made hometowns and Fantasy Suites one straight week before.
- 22:23Speaker 3: Then that way he would have like extra time, and
- 22:26Speaker 3: that way fantasy suites would give him the like intimate, quiet,
- 22:30Speaker 3: private time to help make this decision easier for him.
- 22:35Speaker 2: I agree, Yeah, that's what I was, because then they
- 22:37Speaker 2: still get down to two for the final row ceremony. Yeah,
- 22:40Speaker 2: and it can still be two weeks episodes. But I
- 22:42Speaker 2: do wish he had a little bit more time because going.
- 22:46Speaker 3: With just the family is gonna be even more It's
- 22:49Speaker 3: just so emotional because he's just like going off of
- 22:51Speaker 3: the experience of the family. If he had another like date, yeah,
- 22:57Speaker 3: vibes wise, it would be different.
- 23:00Speaker 2: Yeah, because then you know, you would kind of get
- 23:02Speaker 2: on the same track then as the other shows where
- 23:04Speaker 2: you're down to three still for the fantasy suites, two
- 23:08Speaker 2: for the final you know, two weeks. Yeah, but we
- 23:11Speaker 2: give the benefit of the doubt for the Bachelor and Bachelorette,
- 23:14Speaker 2: where they can have three overnights and oftentimes you can
- 23:17Speaker 2: hear when you maybe talk privately with the leads. The
- 23:19Speaker 2: overnights are like the deciding factor. Hometowns are a big deal,
- 23:22Speaker 2: but once you get behind closed doors, then you get
- 23:24Speaker 2: to ask maybe more intimate questions, you know the person,
- 23:27Speaker 2: like kind of like let's loose a little bit. You
- 23:29Speaker 2: see what your chemistry is when nobody's forcing you to talk.
- 23:33Speaker 2: And I think that's going to be a hard part
- 23:35Speaker 2: of the Golden is where we're asking them to get
- 23:37Speaker 2: down to the final two. And we've seen it with
- 23:39Speaker 2: Gary already. He loves the three of them and it's
- 23:43Speaker 2: and so he could use more time. And I think
- 23:45Speaker 2: this would be one of those scenarios that we could
- 23:47Speaker 2: give him more time.
- 23:47Speaker 3: Yeah, good thought. We don't hear him say this right
- 23:51Speaker 3: now that he this is the hardest choice that he's
- 23:54Speaker 3: had to make, or like this is the most heart
- 23:56Speaker 3: wrenching and awful thing he's experienced since his wife dying.
- 24:00Speaker 3: But that's coming, and that could even be the final
- 24:03Speaker 3: I would say that's probably the finale. The quote from
- 24:06Speaker 3: the finale, which is just like mind blowing.
- 24:08Speaker 2: I think it's still during this really, I think Jesse
- 24:11Speaker 2: comes down. But you got to imagine at this point,
- 24:13Speaker 2: Jesse is like probably out of his suit. Well no,
- 24:17Speaker 2: because he has to come back to say this is
- 24:18Speaker 2: the final row.
- 24:19Speaker 3: Jis probably has no idea how to handle this with
- 24:21Speaker 3: an elder.
- 24:22Speaker 2: No, he's I can't imagine how he's learning as he
- 24:26Speaker 2: goes here. Emotional week. Actually, I did want to mention
- 24:38Speaker 2: that I did shed a lot of tears this week,
- 24:41Speaker 2: and I don't do that all the time. I've done
- 24:42Speaker 2: a lot more during The Golden Bachelor, mostly during the
- 24:45Speaker 2: grand kids segments. I think it was really cute, and
- 24:47Speaker 2: I also definitely did when Teresa's daughter was talking about
- 24:51Speaker 2: her late father.
- 24:52Speaker 3: Yeah, that was the moment where I was like, oh,
- 24:54Speaker 3: I'm willing yeah.
- 24:55Speaker 2: For as much benefit as the show has brought me
- 24:59Speaker 2: in terms of watching TV, and as much joy as
- 25:03Speaker 2: I've had watching these people pursue relationships, I think over
- 25:07Speaker 2: the last maybe week up until this week, it has
- 25:10Speaker 2: started to like feel a little bit too intimate to
- 25:13Speaker 2: me where my mind goes to my family, and I
- 25:19Speaker 2: hadn't had that happen yet.
- 25:21Speaker 3: It was when the daughter was talking that I imagine my
- 25:23Speaker 3: dad gone.
- 25:24Speaker 2: Yeah, and it just it's not you know that that's
- 25:27Speaker 2: I guess it's probably healthy and it's not a bad
- 25:31Speaker 2: thing to.
- 25:31Speaker 3: Have my parents dying too often to need this.
- 25:34Speaker 2: Yeah, it's just a weird place, you know. You don't
- 25:37Speaker 2: want to lose them. They're good people, all of we've
- 25:40Speaker 2: been lucky. But that's where I got emotional. Wish the
- 25:44Speaker 2: best for Gary. Poor dude is in it, and I
- 25:46Speaker 2: hope all of us listening understand how much he's in it.
- 25:49Speaker 2: This is not made for TV. Gary is not a
- 25:52Speaker 2: paid actor, He has no experience on television before. He
- 25:56Speaker 2: is trying to find love and so are these amazing
- 25:59Speaker 2: women that are are with him. This is going to
- 26:01Speaker 2: be a very emotional last few weeks of The Golden Bachelor, Ashley,
- 26:07Speaker 2: to close out, I do have a little insider information. Okay, yes,
- 26:14Speaker 2: I don't think the franchise has decided if they're going
- 26:18Speaker 2: to do another Golden or not.
- 26:19Speaker 3: What do you mean, like, that's so dumb of them.
- 26:22Speaker 2: Well that's what I thought. But how mad would we
- 26:26Speaker 2: be if all of a sudden like this show comes
- 26:29Speaker 2: and goes and we never hear about it again.
- 26:33Speaker 3: Of course there would be outrage.
- 26:35Speaker 2: So let's appreciate the last few weeks of this season.
- 26:38Speaker 3: Okay, I'm not worried. They just haven't like green led
- 26:42Speaker 3: it yet, but it's obviously going to happen.
- 26:44Speaker 2: I sure hope. So it's been so great. Well, next
- 26:48Speaker 2: week we'll be back breaking down another episode of The
- 26:49Speaker 2: Golden Bachelor. It's been a wild ride, a really fun ride.
- 26:53Speaker 2: We can't wait to continue to talk about it. We
- 26:55Speaker 2: wish the best for everybody involved. But until next week,
- 26:58Speaker 2: I've been been.
- 27:00Speaker 3: See you guys. We'll be back with good stories next week. Bye.
