- 0:26SPEAKER_05: We're actually really excited because this is our first episode of like this series that we're doing.
- 0:32SPEAKER_05: Oh really?
- 0:32SPEAKER_05: Yes.
- 0:33SPEAKER_05: So normally we only have country artists.
- 0:35SPEAKER_05: So you're actually our first, I would say, non-country artist or like non-country artist.
- 0:41SPEAKER_05: Oh, that's so I didn't industry person.
- 0:43SPEAKER_03: Suddenly I am nervous.
- 0:46SPEAKER_03: You're not a country artist.
- 0:51SPEAKER_01: You don't sing, do you?
- 0:53SPEAKER_01: Um, yeah, but like I'm too, I'm too one, two, three, go.
- 0:59SPEAKER_03: Not gonna no, I yes, historically, yes.
- 1:05SPEAKER_03: Okay.
- 1:06SPEAKER_03: But I'm too much.
- 1:07SPEAKER_03: We take that to nerd shit.
- 1:08SPEAKER_03: That's why I that's why I put things on t-shirts now because I thought I need to have some sort of creative outlet, and I'm too ticking chicken shit to uh to sing.
- 1:16SPEAKER_05: So well, so now you are a country artist on the podcast.
- 1:19SPEAKER_03: Yeah, you guys thought you were changing it up.
- 1:22SPEAKER_03: No, if I could play guitar, it'd be over for y'all.
- 1:26SPEAKER_03: Can you play the guitar?
- 1:28SPEAKER_03: I can play three chords.
- 1:29SPEAKER_03: Okay.
- 1:30SPEAKER_03: Um and then and then I and then I whinge about my fingers.
- 1:33SPEAKER_03: Don't you need a new camera guy.
- 1:37SPEAKER_03: Oh, no, I know.
- 1:37SPEAKER_03: We've been looking if you know.
- 1:40SPEAKER_03: Yeah, we've been on seek, don't worry.
- 1:42SPEAKER_04: He just keeps following us around.
- 1:45SPEAKER_04: Kidding, it's the opposite.
- 1:47SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
- 1:48SPEAKER_05: So we wanted to talk to you about country music and kind of how you got into country music for a start.
- 1:54SPEAKER_03: Yeah, it's been it's been a massive part of my life forever.
- 1:59SPEAKER_03: Um, and I I moved away from it when I turned like 19, I reckon.
- 2:06SPEAKER_03: Like I don't know, I traveled a lot and like I did a lot and I just sort of like moved away from my roots.
- 2:14SPEAKER_03: And I have seen this, like, I've seen this meme float around a lot at Navip.
- 2:20SPEAKER_03: Seeing this, seeing this like, it's like a quote, and it's like, the interest that you have when you're 14 will stick with you forever.
- 2:26SPEAKER_03: Like it's it's important that when that comes back, you follow it.
- 2:29SPEAKER_03: And I saw that the other day, and I've been seeing it a lot recently, and I'm like, you know what, it is so true.
- 2:35SPEAKER_03: Like I moved away from it and like got distracted by life, and then when I went through, I was I was damn bad.
- 2:41SPEAKER_03: I went through, went through a real, real rough patch.
- 2:44SPEAKER_03: Um, and it just like it just kept calling me back.
- 2:48SPEAKER_03: Like I found myself listening to things that I grew up listening to, and I was like, wait a second, I was like, this is me, and I was like so grateful for that calling to go back to it.
- 2:59SPEAKER_03: I was like, oh, this is this is this is lit, might I ever move away?
- 3:04SPEAKER_03: Um yeah, so my dad, I grew up with dad being in a band.
- 3:07SPEAKER_03: Um he was front man in a band, he still is.
- 3:10SPEAKER_03: Uh, and so grew up with all of that.
- 3:12SPEAKER_03: They do like country rock, so it's been a big part of my life forever.
- 3:16SPEAKER_03: Him on stage, he used to pull me up on stage, we used to sing at my local pub.
- 3:20SPEAKER_03: Yeah, it was awesome.
- 3:21SPEAKER_03: That's so cute.
- 3:22SPEAKER_03: And I just don't know why I moved away from it.
- 3:24SPEAKER_03: Like it just like, I don't know, life got in the way.
- 3:27SPEAKER_03: And then grew up in the country, right?
- 3:29SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 3:29unknown: Yeah.
- 3:30SPEAKER_03: Grew up riding horses, doing all that, and loved it.
- 3:33SPEAKER_03: Whereabouts did you grow up?
- 3:34SPEAKER_03: Sorry, grew up um near the Southern Highlands, um, in a little town called Picton.
- 3:40SPEAKER_03: Even it's like 15 minutes outside of Picton, it's called Kourajah.
- 3:44SPEAKER_03: Grew up there riding horses, um, and but I never did like that.
- 3:48SPEAKER_03: I feel like when people say horse girl, they think like, or when I say horse girl, people think like, oh, she did like comps and all that sort of stuff.
- 3:54SPEAKER_03: Not me.
- 3:55SPEAKER_03: I was riding with no shoes on, no saddle, and I was like playing imagin like imagination games riding my horse around the paddock.
- 4:02SPEAKER_03: Like I only ever did it for the city.
- 4:03SPEAKER_03: Cow girl.
- 4:04SPEAKER_06: Yeah, I love it.
- 4:05SPEAKER_03: Yeah, so it's always been like just a real like leisure pleasure part of my life.
- 4:10SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 4:11SPEAKER_03: Yeah, always.
- 4:12SPEAKER_04: When did you move to the city?
- 4:13SPEAKER_03: Uh moved to the city about a year ago.
- 4:16SPEAKER_03: And I've lived here for a year on my own.
- 4:19SPEAKER_03: Um, and it was great, it was what I needed.
- 4:22SPEAKER_03: I needed a lot of distraction at the time when I moved.
- 4:25SPEAKER_03: Uh and now after it was actually after CMC, I was like, what am I doing?
- 4:32SPEAKER_03: I just had like this huge, like, what the fuck.
- 4:35SPEAKER_03: And then I was like, I need to get out of the city.
- 4:37SPEAKER_03: Like, why am I why am I living there and doing that when I know that's not what fills my cuff up?
- 4:44SPEAKER_03: It was like, it was, yeah, it sounds like some hippie-dippy shit, but it's not.
- 4:48SPEAKER_03: Like, I came away from that week or however long I was there.
- 4:52SPEAKER_03: It feels like, it feels like I was there for a long time.
- 4:55SPEAKER_03: Um, but yeah, I came away from that festival and I was like, that is who I am.
- 4:59SPEAKER_03: So like, why do I live in a one-bedroom apartment in the middle of Sydney?
- 5:02SPEAKER_05: Was that your first time going to CMT?
- 5:04SPEAKER_05: CMC does have a way of changing.
- 5:08SPEAKER_03: And when I bought those tickets, I was I was like one foot out the door of my relationship.
- 5:13SPEAKER_03: And I said to him, I just bought tickets to CMC.
- 5:15SPEAKER_03: And he was like, What?
- 5:17SPEAKER_03: Well, like I can come, and I was like, mm-mm.
- 5:19SPEAKER_03: So you just went by yourself?
- 5:21SPEAKER_03: Well, I bought the ticket on my own, and I have ties with Out West Country.
- 5:27SPEAKER_03: And um, they We love those boys.
- 5:29SPEAKER_03: Yeah, dude, those boys have dragged me through dead set the pits of hell.
- 5:37SPEAKER_03: They have shown up for me like you would not believe.
- 5:39SPEAKER_03: They have been incredible.
- 5:40SPEAKER_03: And they said as a thank you for like all the work that you've done, and just like as a celebration for our relationship, let's we'll pay for camping, you buy the ticket.
- 5:50SPEAKER_03: And I was like, Okay, so yeah, went out on a on a whim, I guess.
- 5:54SPEAKER_03: I was we hadn't like spoken for a while, and then they were typing in the group chat, and Brad rang me and he's like, You're so hard to get a hold of, and I was like, I'm sorry, I'm an avoidant.
- 6:04SPEAKER_03: What do you want?
- 6:04SPEAKER_03: And he was like, Are you coming or where?
- 6:06SPEAKER_03: Yeah, literally, yeah, I'm an avoidant, don't call me because I won't answer.
- 6:10SPEAKER_03: Um, and he was like, So are you coming or not?
- 6:13SPEAKER_03: And I was like, Okay, yeah.
- 6:15SPEAKER_03: And I just like pretended that I was I was like all in and was up to date with everything I was in.
- 6:20SPEAKER_03: I just like bought the ticket and I was like, I'll think about it later.
- 6:23SPEAKER_03: And I bought the flight up to Brisbane the day before I left.
- 6:27SPEAKER_03: Like I was so I'm a last minute queen.
- 6:30SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 6:30SPEAKER_03: Um, and yeah, I literally got the flight the day before and then knew nothing about it.
- 6:35SPEAKER_03: Like I didn't play, I planned all my outfits.
- 6:37SPEAKER_04: Neither did Grace for her first one.
- 6:39SPEAKER_04: Oh no, no, no.
- 6:40SPEAKER_04: She called me, she's like, like, I didn't we we this was a few years ago, and I wasn't really like super into country music.
- 6:47SPEAKER_04: And like I had like got into it like a little bit like through line dancing when I lived in Canada.
- 6:51SPEAKER_04: I went to Calgary Stampede and like we were just getting like spun around by cowboys.
- 6:59SPEAKER_02: What do you mean?
- 7:00SPEAKER_04: No, I we went on this road trip with like eight girls and it was so much fun, and we just line danced the whole time and we were just running around like rat bags.
- 7:12SPEAKER_04: The whole time, and um yeah, then like I came back and met Holly and then she was like, Oh, like, do you want to come to this festival?
- 7:18SPEAKER_04: You know, it's just it's like it's a couple, it's a weekend.
- 7:20SPEAKER_05: And I did not give her any details because I knew the more I'd told her tell her the more she'd say no because like she'd have to take time off work, we'd have to drive up.
- 7:30SPEAKER_05: It's a whole kettle because I do that.
- 7:32SPEAKER_05: I was like, deadline dancing.
- 7:33SPEAKER_05: She's like, yeah, I was like, you know, I was like, tickets go in town tomorrow, I'll buy them, you can transfer me.
- 7:40SPEAKER_05: And then I was like, either way, you also need to drive up with me.
- 7:42SPEAKER_05: You need to take time off work.
- 7:46SPEAKER_05: Okay, here's the contract.
- 7:48SPEAKER_01: I'm gonna need something contract.
- 7:52SPEAKER_04: I found the contract anyway, so it was so good.
- 7:55SPEAKER_04: Um, I was actually thinking, because um the first time we ever met um Brad, he was actually DJ at Denny Master.
- 8:05SPEAKER_04: Denny Master, we were walking through the Ute paddock the first year we went and we were this time.
- 8:09SPEAKER_04: Have you been to Denny before?
- 8:10SPEAKER_01: No, you need to go.
- 8:11SPEAKER_01: You need to go.
- 8:13SPEAKER_03: I don't know if I'm cut out for it.
- 8:15SPEAKER_01: Oh, trust me, if you want to cut out for it, you're cut out for it.
- 8:18SPEAKER_01: It was solid fucking fights in a spare time, I don't know.
- 8:23SPEAKER_01: I'm not gonna compete with the people in the U padic, trust me.
- 8:27SPEAKER_00: I think she just means fighting demons, but carry on.
- 8:29SPEAKER_04: Fighting my head noise down today.
- 8:32SPEAKER_03: Like I do that, so maybe maybe I can cut out for it.
- 8:36SPEAKER_03: There's other people that do that.
- 8:39SPEAKER_01: This is incredible.
- 8:41SPEAKER_03: I might not ever leave.
- 8:43SPEAKER_04: It's okay.
- 8:44SPEAKER_04: Um, yeah, and then we're all just like walking through the youth paddock, and we like there's so many parties all across like the youth paddock, and they're like, and like it's so much fun.
- 8:53SPEAKER_04: It's so much fun, and like they're just like little pockets, they like line up all of the youth, like the trays, beds, yeah, yeah, on the um, like kind of next to each other, and so they form like a little dance floor that they're gonna be.
- 9:07SPEAKER_04: They have these fuck off like beepings, and then everyone's standing on the on like the trays, just jumping up and down, just like, oh my god, it's so much fun.
- 9:15SPEAKER_04: Anyway, so we see this guy, and he's wearing this ridiculous, massive, like C to C I mean gaze because I do that with kazibies.
- 9:23SPEAKER_03: Always crazy.
- 9:27SPEAKER_03: You know what?
- 9:27SPEAKER_03: I love it.
- 9:27SPEAKER_03: I roll my eyes, but I love him for that.
- 9:30SPEAKER_03: Like, I'm like always, he doesn't do anything in halves, and I love him for that.
- 9:34SPEAKER_05: It was the best like performance of the whole debut mascara.
- 9:37SPEAKER_05: So he was DJing in the paddock.
- 9:40SPEAKER_05: In the paddock, yeah.
- 9:40SPEAKER_05: Yeah, he's gonna be.
- 9:42SPEAKER_05: Everyone just came and it was like, oh, it's a vibe.
- 9:44SPEAKER_04: How did you get to talking to him?
- 9:46SPEAKER_04: We didn't talk to him.
- 9:47SPEAKER_04: Yeah, we did.
- 9:48SPEAKER_04: We were at the front.
- 9:49SPEAKER_04: I don't remember.
- 9:50SPEAKER_04: We were just right at the front of the amnesia.
- 9:54SPEAKER_04: Okay, so for obviously we we probably have like a shared audience to some respect, but like for those who don't know Claire Champion, tell us about the Claire Champion store.
- 10:03SPEAKER_03: Okay, so this is my my Reese baby.
- 10:06SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 10:07SPEAKER_03: Um I uh I feel like it was a really like not to be like deep and meaningful, but also to be deep and meaningful.
- 10:14SPEAKER_03: It was just like a real important part of my healing, and I am a really creative person.
- 10:21SPEAKER_03: Um and I just like locked myself in a little box in the city in my one bedroom apartment, and then I thought I want to be creative again, and it was just a real, a real outlet, and I I just want it to be a real reflection of me.
- 10:36SPEAKER_03: So, like with all of these like the collections and the posts and the drops and all of that, I don't put a lot of like pre-planning into place.
- 10:44SPEAKER_03: I just like do it when I feel good.
- 10:47SPEAKER_03: Um so whenever I'm posting and when I'm active, it has a lot of like excitement and like genuine happiness behind it.
- 10:55SPEAKER_03: And this has been the business out of so I've had four.
- 10:59SPEAKER_03: This is the fourth one, the fourth times of charm apparently.
- 11:03SPEAKER_03: Um and yeah, it just like has felt the best, it's felt the most natural, and I've really just put all of the filtered and all of the curation, like I've I've just like put that in the bit.
- 11:16SPEAKER_03: And I'm just like, I'm done, I'm not doing that, because that's not me.
- 11:18SPEAKER_03: I'm not a curated person, I'm not a pre-planner, I'm not like I just I don't like I just do shit when I do shit.
- 11:26SPEAKER_03: Like I feel like that might be low-key a little bit of ADHD, but like never medicate me because I just do things that feel great in the moment, and yeah, so it's just a real reflection of me and my personality, and I just love being able to put a physical part of me into the universe and like into people who follow me, and like I don't know, I'm just I'm here for the girls, and I it's just such a nice way to be able to like physically connect with my people, with my girls.
- 11:54SPEAKER_03: It's yeah, it's really nice.
- 11:55SPEAKER_03: It's been great.
- 11:57SPEAKER_05: It definitely brings people together, I think, more than and I think people are craving at the moment the like tangibility of things, and rather than just like, oh, we follow each other.
- 12:07SPEAKER_05: Like, I think that's so almost not.
- 12:09SPEAKER_03: Well, that was something that I was looking for, like just like just to be able to yeah, be like have that tangibility with people that follow me.
- 12:17SPEAKER_03: It's been and it has been so fun.
- 12:19SPEAKER_03: Like, I had this girl DM me the other day, and she was like, she goes, Um, I don't remember what the first part was, but long story short, she had me on her birthday wish list.
- 12:30SPEAKER_03: I was like, I have made it somebody's birthday.
- 12:34SPEAKER_05: I think she wanted you to come on to her birthday.
- 12:36SPEAKER_03: No, no, like she put my shirt, like she put the Claire Champion store, this baby tee, on her birthday.
- 12:42SPEAKER_03: Cute! And I was like, Mum, I've made it.
- 12:47SPEAKER_03: I've I'm on a birthday list! Dude, that is so cool! I was like, that is genuinely the coolest shit ever.
- 12:55SPEAKER_03: Like what means on my birthday wish list.
- 12:58SPEAKER_03: Are we on a birthday wish list?
- 13:00SPEAKER_04: I feel that about Hello Fresh.
- 13:05SPEAKER_04: Okay, like we're I don't know how long have you been like making content online for?
- 13:10SPEAKER_03: Uh, well, back when uh COVID was a thing.
- 13:13SPEAKER_03: Okay.
- 13:14SPEAKER_03: So like I'm I'm a I'm I feel like I'm a Nepo baby.
- 13:19SPEAKER_04: Okay, so like five, six, six years now.
- 13:21SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 13:22SPEAKER_04: Six years, okay.
- 13:23SPEAKER_04: Well, we've only been doing this for a year, right?
- 13:25SPEAKER_04: And so we got we got an email.
- 13:26SPEAKER_04: Uh we haven't told you this yet, Chuck, but we got an email from Hello Friends.
- 13:31SPEAKER_05: I'm they're just giving us a box.
- 13:35SPEAKER_05: It's so funny because I feel like we talked to so many brands this week about like really cool opportunities and the my like my we made it moment would get it.
- 13:48SPEAKER_03: Loki, I hope they're paying you for this plant.
- 13:51SPEAKER_01: Not at all.
- 13:52SPEAKER_04: Like, I'm just really excited.
- 13:53SPEAKER_04: Okay, do you have a we made it moment?
- 13:57SPEAKER_04: But it's just you, so you it's the I made it moment.
- 13:59SPEAKER_03: Literally the birthday list.
- 14:00SPEAKER_03: I'm not even shitting you.
- 14:02SPEAKER_03: Seeing that message, I was like, dude.
- 14:05SPEAKER_03: Like, I feel like Santa.
- 14:08SPEAKER_03: And I'm like, be more of an icon than the man himself.
- 14:11SPEAKER_04: No, it's truly.
- 14:12SPEAKER_03: That's incredible.
- 14:13SPEAKER_03: Literally, I was just like, wow.
- 14:15SPEAKER_03: I think before that, a bit of an I made it moment.
- 14:21SPEAKER_03: Honestly, it hasn't come from like any of the brands or any of that.
- 14:26SPEAKER_03: I think it was the first message I got from a girl who I actually am like good friends with, like internet friends with.
- 14:33SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 14:33SPEAKER_01: Um Internet friends.
- 14:35SPEAKER_01: Internet friends.
- 14:36SPEAKER_03: But she's literally, but I'm like her, she's my friend.
- 14:39SPEAKER_03: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 14:39SPEAKER_03: Um she is my friend.
- 14:42SPEAKER_03: Don't I will ride for that bitch.
- 14:45SPEAKER_03: She is my friend.
- 14:47SPEAKER_03: Um, she sent me a message about um just the the impact that I'd had on her life, and that was a real like it.
- 14:59SPEAKER_03: I think it it made me realize that the things that I say and I do, and even for the people in general, like the things that you say and the things that you do online and that you put out there, real life people are sat in their bedrooms watching that.
- 15:14SPEAKER_03: They are listening and they are consuming what you say.
- 15:19SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 15:19SPEAKER_03: And I think that was a huge thing.
- 15:21SPEAKER_03: Like, I was just like, shit.
- 15:23SPEAKER_03: And um, I yeah, that was a real like maybe not I've made it, but that was like the closest thing that I was like, yeah, oh like this is for real.
- 15:33SPEAKER_03: Like what I'm doing is legit.
- 15:35SPEAKER_03: Like this is wow.
- 15:36SPEAKER_05: I think because the numbers when you see on social media, it you don't get the feeling that there's people behind.
- 15:42SPEAKER_05: Oh no, and and it's all a numbers.
- 15:45SPEAKER_05: But I do actually think the numbers thing is the same for country music as well, though, because everyone tells us that country music is niche, and we're like, go to CMC Rocks.
- 15:54SPEAKER_03: It's just look how many people I'm niche, it's not singing on country music.
- 15:57SPEAKER_05: It's certainly not.
- 15:58SPEAKER_03: And I one of my biggest pet peeves is people saying that like it's performative or like it's uh oh, it's a niche, like you really want to be that.
- 16:07SPEAKER_03: And I'm like, it it's okay to not rush the cattle and enjoy country music.
- 16:13SPEAKER_03: Get out of my face with that.
- 16:15SPEAKER_03: I hate that.
- 16:15SPEAKER_04: It's just so funny just like seeing the comparison of like it's just we have I feel like very similar cultures to like the South in America, and there it's like not performative, it's mainstream.
- 16:26SPEAKER_04: It's like just it's just normal.
- 16:28SPEAKER_04: It's just a lifestyle, yeah.
- 16:30SPEAKER_04: And like I feel like because we're like so segregated from rural areas in the city, yeah, it's it becomes that like performative thing.
- 16:37SPEAKER_04: But like it is massively.
- 16:39SPEAKER_03: I wore jeans and boots one time to Westfield.
- 16:42SPEAKER_03: Did you get looks?
- 16:43SPEAKER_03: I've never been stared at.
- 16:45SPEAKER_03: Oh, I wear them.
- 16:46SPEAKER_03: I was like, for the time feels to be famous.
- 16:50SPEAKER_03: I was like, they're looking at me, Loki, they're just looking at my boots, thinking, what is that bird doing here wearing that?
- 16:56SPEAKER_04: Oh, I wear them out all the time.
- 16:57SPEAKER_04: Like I would wear, I would wear I'd wear boots like to the pub like all the time.
- 17:00SPEAKER_03: As you should.
- 17:01SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 17:01SPEAKER_03: As you should.
- 17:02SPEAKER_04: It's the cowboy hat that doesn't quite make you Paddington.
- 17:05SPEAKER_03: Ten gallon hat.
- 17:06SPEAKER_03: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 17:08SPEAKER_00: Or is it when you wear four of them on top of each other?
- 17:10SPEAKER_04: That's the airport.
- 17:12SPEAKER_03: Yeah, that's just the airport fit.
- 17:13SPEAKER_03: That is standard.
- 17:16SPEAKER_03: Yeah, yeah.
- 17:16SPEAKER_04: You mean you can't do the airport without having a double-stacked hat, of course.
- 17:21SPEAKER_04: No, you can't.
- 17:22SPEAKER_06: Okay, sorry.
- 17:22SPEAKER_05: Yeah, I'm gonna have to talk at that wrong audience.
- 17:26SPEAKER_05: Not around here.
- 17:27SPEAKER_05: He just hasn't been invited to Nashville with us, so he wouldn't know.
- 17:32SPEAKER_03: You know what?
- 17:32SPEAKER_00: That is that is everyone for tuning in.
- 17:38SPEAKER_03: Yeah, anyway, cut.
- 17:40SPEAKER_03: No.
- 17:41SPEAKER_03: Okay, I'd be salty about that too.
- 17:43SPEAKER_03: Fair game on that.
- 17:44SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 17:44SPEAKER_04: Would you both like to come to Nashville?
- 17:48SPEAKER_03: Somebody get that in writing.
- 17:51SPEAKER_00: Don't worry, that big red record button is still going.
- 17:54SPEAKER_03: Perfect.
- 17:54SPEAKER_03: My guy for real.
- 17:57SPEAKER_03: Suddenly we're on the same team.
- 17:59SPEAKER_03: Don't make me side with a man.
- 18:01SPEAKER_03: That's awful.
- 18:03SPEAKER_04: Um, so tell us more about your CMC experience.
- 18:06SPEAKER_04: Because I feel like there's probably a few people who possibly follow you and then also follow us that maybe haven't been to CMC.
- 18:13SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 18:13SPEAKER_03: Okay.
- 18:14SPEAKER_03: I have been dying to talk about this with people who get it.
- 18:20SPEAKER_03: I'm ready.
- 18:22SPEAKER_03: We are.
- 18:23SPEAKER_03: So I went there with the Out West Country crew.
- 18:27SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 18:28SPEAKER_01: And great initiation.
- 18:30SPEAKER_03: Yeah, right.
- 18:31SPEAKER_03: Right.
- 18:32SPEAKER_03: And but they were being pretty chill.
- 18:33SPEAKER_03: They were coupled up.
- 18:34SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 18:35SPEAKER_03: And I was just like.
- 18:36SPEAKER_03: And you were not?
- 18:36SPEAKER_03: No.
- 18:37SPEAKER_03: Okay.
- 18:38SPEAKER_03: So I was just like.
- 18:39SPEAKER_04: Relationship over at this point?
- 18:41SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 18:42SPEAKER_04: Well, yeah.
- 18:42SPEAKER_03: So I lived in the city on I was I was seeing this guy at the time.
- 18:46SPEAKER_04: This is not the guy that you were engaged to.
- 18:50SPEAKER_03: So I'd been separated from the engaged guy.
- 18:53SPEAKER_03: Yes.
- 18:55SPEAKER_03: Maybe like I'd lived in the city for maybe like five, maybe five months.
- 19:01SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 19:01SPEAKER_03: I think.
- 19:02SPEAKER_03: Maybe.
- 19:03SPEAKER_03: Um yeah, so going to CMC, I they yeah, they they were coupled up doing their like team activities.
- 19:12SPEAKER_03: Like going out to see a daytime show and whatever, coming back.
- 19:15SPEAKER_03: I'm surprised they were hanging out.
- 19:16SPEAKER_03: Yeah, no, they were very chill.
- 19:18SPEAKER_03: And um on the first night I got there, flew in like a hurricane, I always do.
- 19:23SPEAKER_03: And I just thought to myself, you know what?
- 19:27SPEAKER_03: I am just gonna go out and I'm just gonna do me.
- 19:30SPEAKER_03: I was with Chloe, she was an absolute legend.
- 19:32SPEAKER_03: She was on the same wavelength as me, she was staying with the Out West crew as well.
- 19:35SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
- 19:36SPEAKER_03: And we just went out on the first night.
- 19:38SPEAKER_05: And I thought to Charlie's bar, or where did you go?
- 19:41SPEAKER_03: Well, well.
- 19:43SPEAKER_05: Okay.
- 19:48SPEAKER_03: So I went out and I was like, it's gonna be tame, it's gonna be, I'm just gonna have a couple drinks.
- 19:53SPEAKER_03: And you know what?
- 19:54SPEAKER_03: Don't be saying that.
- 19:56SPEAKER_03: No.
- 19:56SPEAKER_03: Because as soon as you say that, the universe is out to teach you a lesson.
- 19:59SPEAKER_03: No.
- 20:00SPEAKER_03: For some reason.
- 20:00SPEAKER_04: Not a teacher.
- 20:01SPEAKER_03: I don't need to be taught nothing.
- 20:02SPEAKER_03: And for some reason, the universe has a real close ear to me.
- 20:07SPEAKER_06: It's character building.
- 20:09SPEAKER_03: I've had too much development.
- 20:12SPEAKER_03: At this point, I'm Harry himself.
- 20:15SPEAKER_03: I don't be needing any more character development.
- 20:17SPEAKER_03: I'm gonna have a scar, a lightning bolt real soon.
- 20:19SPEAKER_03: And I'm gonna give that boy a run for his money with the amount of development I've had.
- 20:23SPEAKER_03: Um, but so I go out the first night with Chloe, and this girl taps me on the shoulder.
- 20:28SPEAKER_03: I'm like, a couple drinks in, I'm tipsy, I'm singing at that like what is that stage called where they do karaoke?
- 20:34SPEAKER_03: Tailgate.
- 20:35SPEAKER_03: Tailgate.
- 20:35SPEAKER_03: So I'm at the I'm at the tailgate and I'm drinking, I'm having fun, whatever, whatever.
- 20:40SPEAKER_03: With Chloe, dancing, singing, being a goose like I always am.
- 20:43SPEAKER_03: And I get this tow and I turn around and it's this girl.
- 20:46SPEAKER_03: And she goes, hi.
- 20:47SPEAKER_03: And I go, hi.
- 20:49SPEAKER_03: And she goes, I'm Emily, nice to meet you.
- 20:52SPEAKER_03: And I said, I'm Claire, nice to meet you too.
- 20:54SPEAKER_03: And I thought it was someone who had known me from social media, so like I was having a like not a performative conversation, but one of those combos where you're like, oh, you're having fun, blah, blah, blah, yeah, yeah.
- 21:04SPEAKER_03: And then she goes, I want you to meet my friend.
- 21:07SPEAKER_03: And I go, what?
- 21:08SPEAKER_03: And then I realize she's being a wingwoman.
- 21:10SPEAKER_03: And I'm like, oh.
- 21:12SPEAKER_03: And I'm like, hi, I'm Claire.
- 21:14SPEAKER_03: And he's like, what's up?
- 21:15SPEAKER_03: And I'm like, hey.
- 21:16SPEAKER_03: And then I turned back to Emily, and then we just like hit it off.
- 21:22SPEAKER_03: And then we were both like bye boys.
- 21:24SPEAKER_03: And then we became besties.
- 21:26SPEAKER_03: We were together all night.
- 21:28SPEAKER_03: And then the next day we were together, and then the day after that we were together, and then we just became like this.
- 21:34SPEAKER_03: And so Emily is the one that I am moving in with next week when I move to Bruzi.
- 21:39SPEAKER_03: So yeah.
- 21:40SPEAKER_03: So I've been back and forth to Brisbane, hanging out with her, still seeing that guy like on and off.
- 21:45SPEAKER_05: The one that she was trying to wing menus.
- 21:47SPEAKER_05: Yes.
- 21:47SPEAKER_03: What?
- 21:48SPEAKER_03: No, we can't be mm mm.
- 21:51SPEAKER_04: Wait, so is she single for the purposes of this of this podcast?
- 21:54SPEAKER_03: She is, yeah.
- 21:55SPEAKER_04: Excellent.
- 21:56SPEAKER_03: So we're no, we're both we're both single, freeze bird.
- 22:00SPEAKER_03: Um, but yeah, she's been like the first adult friendship that I've made with a female that feels like actually like genuine and purposeful, and I have really struggled with friendships just like over the course of my life.
- 22:21SPEAKER_03: I just find having female friends really difficult.
- 22:24SPEAKER_03: I don't know if that's like a character flaw in myself, but like I pour a lot into my friendships and the people that I'm close to, and I'm okay with doing that, like I do that because I want to.
- 22:36SPEAKER_03: Um but it becomes tough, I think, like after a little while where you just go, you know what?
- 22:41SPEAKER_03: I'm a bit sick of pouring out into people who just don't seem to pour back.
- 22:48SPEAKER_03: And it becomes it becomes irritating, and like that is the last thing I want for myself is for something that makes me feel good to them become like a bit a bit of an irritation.
- 22:58SPEAKER_03: Like I don't ever want to do something with the expectation to get anything back.
- 23:02SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 23:02SPEAKER_03: Um, and with her, I've never felt like that.
- 23:04SPEAKER_03: And that was a real like out of that long relationship and out of everything, like I just had people do nothing but surprise me in the worst way possible.
- 23:13SPEAKER_03: And then to meet her, I was like, wow, this feels so lit.
- 23:20SPEAKER_03: To be surprised in in a good way.
- 23:23SPEAKER_03: Like, yeah, and like it just is so refreshing to be able to be so unfiltered and so raw with another human being and then not have it come to bite you in the ass.
- 23:34SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 23:35SPEAKER_03: And it's just like the nicest thing, and I love that that friendship came from something like CMC.
- 23:41SPEAKER_03: Oh, it's not a good thing.
- 23:42SPEAKER_05: Like, like, name something.
- 23:46SPEAKER_03: Hook me up.
- 23:47SPEAKER_03: Hook me up for real.
- 23:48SPEAKER_03: I'm like, I have nothing but good shit to say about that festival.
- 23:52SPEAKER_03: It was like my like, if I'm Jesus, that was the I came out of the tomb on that one.
- 23:59SPEAKER_05: Oh, it's the best.
- 24:00SPEAKER_05: I think it opened your eyes to like, I like that's how I feel about my first time.
- 24:04SPEAKER_03: It was that it was so awesome.
- 24:06SPEAKER_03: And I just met legend after legend after legend.
- 24:12SPEAKER_03: Like I was like, We feel the same.
- 24:16SPEAKER_03: It's incredible.
- 24:16SPEAKER_03: And like I met all the guys from um Country Night, the DJs.
- 24:20SPEAKER_01: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 24:21SPEAKER_01: Lit.
- 24:21SPEAKER_01: Yeah, that's so much fun.
- 24:23SPEAKER_03: Dude, I went into that, what's that bar called?
- 24:25SPEAKER_03: Big time Charlie's?
- 24:26SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 24:27SPEAKER_03: Brother.
- 24:27SPEAKER_03: I'm famous.
- 24:30SPEAKER_03: If you're listening to this, put some goddamn air conditioning or make it bigger.
- 24:35SPEAKER_03: I was like, I might lose my life in here.
- 24:37SPEAKER_03: And I wasn't mad about it.
- 24:38SPEAKER_03: I would have been happy to drop dead there.
- 24:40SPEAKER_03: But you got did you get some chicken from Country Night Boys?
- 24:43SPEAKER_05: When no chicken.
- 24:45SPEAKER_05: They throw chicken when they play um.
- 24:47SPEAKER_05: Dude, they play chicken fry and they throw chicken fry into the crowd.
- 24:50SPEAKER_03: There's no way.
- 24:51SPEAKER_03: Catch me being like one of them clout.
- 24:53SPEAKER_04: No, literally.
- 24:54SPEAKER_04: I was so did you see.
- 24:55SPEAKER_03: They only drank milk when I was.
- 24:57SPEAKER_04: No, they threw chicken too.
- 24:58SPEAKER_04: Um, did you go for their like last set of the last night?
- 25:01SPEAKER_03: Dude, I I was I was a booth bunny for that last set and it was lit.
- 25:05SPEAKER_04: I was have a photo on my Instagram.
- 25:07SPEAKER_04: We were we were on the stage.
- 25:09unknown: What?
- 25:09SPEAKER_04: We were on the stage.
- 25:10SPEAKER_04: I was standing on the same speaker that Gavin Adcock was going like that.
- 25:13SPEAKER_04: But I was rolling chicken at people.
- 25:15SPEAKER_03: No.
- 25:16SPEAKER_04: Yes.
- 25:18SPEAKER_01: How did we not hear each other?
- 25:20SPEAKER_01: Oh no, I was in the crowd for that.
- 25:22SPEAKER_01: Oh I didn't see you throw chicken at the end.
- 25:24SPEAKER_04: Well, girl, we were I was standing at the front rolling chicken at people.
- 25:27SPEAKER_04: I accidentally pegged someone's head and they threw it back.
- 25:29SPEAKER_03: Don't even say Don said that was an accident, but I love that they threw it back.
- 25:33SPEAKER_03: I'm like, Loki, I would have been friends with that person.
- 25:35SPEAKER_04: No, it was so, yeah, we've like this has been like a running thing.
- 25:38SPEAKER_04: Like, I feel like we've thrown No, we've thrown chicken multiple times.
- 25:42SPEAKER_04: But also Charlie's bar.
- 25:43SPEAKER_03: I want to chuck chicken.
- 25:44SPEAKER_03: Yeah, yeah.
- 25:45SPEAKER_03: You're a chicken chucker.
- 25:46SPEAKER_04: I'm not a chicken chucker.
- 25:49SPEAKER_04: No, but um, Charlie's bar is like our favourite bar.
- 25:53SPEAKER_04: And so like we put so good.
- 25:55SPEAKER_04: We put it on, like, this is how like wait, I want to this is.
- 26:00SPEAKER_04: Okay, so in January of this year, we put December.
- 26:05SPEAKER_04: December, we put like a bingo card on a TikTok.
- 26:08SPEAKER_04: See the first one I opened my phone, no day.
- 26:12SPEAKER_04: So we put up like a bingo card of what we wanted to do in 2026 on TikTok.
- 26:16SPEAKER_04: Love that.
- 26:16SPEAKER_04: And one of them was DJ in Charlie's bar.
- 26:19SPEAKER_04: We've done one DJ set in our entire life.
- 26:22SPEAKER_04: And we were literally big time Charlie's.
- 26:24SPEAKER_05: And we were literally pull up the film.
- 26:26SPEAKER_04: And we were literally, I don't know if we had literally we had just played Spotify like next song, like on at a rodeo in Albury.
- 26:33SPEAKER_03: And then let me that's gotta be.
- 26:38SPEAKER_03: I never asked you what your made-up moment is, but no, that was literally for myself here.
- 26:46SPEAKER_04: Oh my god, it was so fun.
- 26:48SPEAKER_04: It was so unfortunate.
- 26:49SPEAKER_04: No, I'm not even joking.
- 26:51SPEAKER_04: That whole outfit was shopping wet.
- 26:53SPEAKER_04: It was so hot.
- 26:55SPEAKER_04: It was so hot.
- 26:58SPEAKER_01: Oh god, take a back.
- 27:01SPEAKER_01: I want to take this cool.
- 27:03SPEAKER_01: Dude, just put it on your TikTok.
- 27:05SPEAKER_01: Bingo Karty.
- 27:07SPEAKER_01: Oh, do you know what actually?
- 27:08SPEAKER_03: If you're at CMC next year and you DJ like that and I'm like, I'm gonna be dirty.
- 27:12SPEAKER_03: You'll be in my bone.
- 27:15SPEAKER_03: Ha-cha!
- 27:16SPEAKER_04: Solar.
- 27:17SPEAKER_04: Okay, rather bubble.
- 27:19SPEAKER_04: I just want to be in Charlie's mom.
- 27:20SPEAKER_04: Um also the tickets come to hell soon, so you know.
- 27:23SPEAKER_04: You best begin this.
- 27:24SPEAKER_04: Yeah, yeah.
- 27:25SPEAKER_03: Don't you even worry?
- 27:26SPEAKER_03: I've been, I've I've got money set aside.
- 27:30SPEAKER_03: Okay.
- 27:30SPEAKER_03: I've had a group chat with the girls.
- 27:32SPEAKER_04: Also, you're going with the group of girls, not with the Alice country boys.
- 27:35SPEAKER_04: Vibes.
- 27:36SPEAKER_04: With the girls, with the girls I met.
- 27:38SPEAKER_03: Stop! Yeah, and now I'm gonna be living there.
- 27:41SPEAKER_03: Do you know what's so crazy?
- 27:43SPEAKER_03: So, like, oh I owe my life to CMC dead so.
- 27:46SPEAKER_04: So do we.
- 27:46SPEAKER_04: So, no, honestly, honestly, we came up with the idea for the pod after on the drive home from CMC.
- 27:52SPEAKER_04: Yeah, I know, I know.
- 27:54SPEAKER_04: It was the year before last, and like we saw Wyatt Flores.
- 27:59SPEAKER_04: Do you listen to him?
- 28:00SPEAKER_04: Oh, you need to get on the train, he's amazing.
- 28:03SPEAKER_04: Um, and then we were like listening to him, like, you know, when you like just crash out on an artist and you do not want to listen to anything else?
- 28:09SPEAKER_03: Me right now.
- 28:10SPEAKER_04: Seriously, we listened to gay boo.
- 28:12SPEAKER_04: Oh, yeah.
- 28:13SPEAKER_03: No, it's literally if I open up my Spotify, I guarantee you she's paused.
- 28:20SPEAKER_03: Well, her album is literally me just thinking it would be a song.
- 28:26SPEAKER_04: Wrong.
- 28:26SPEAKER_04: Oh, also Loki, she is so hot.
- 28:29SPEAKER_04: Like, she's the hottest thing to walk the south.
- 28:32SPEAKER_03: I can't.
- 28:32SPEAKER_03: Have you seen her strum her little guitar?
- 28:34SPEAKER_03: Yeah with the camera here on the stairwell.
- 28:36SPEAKER_03: I'm like, Yeah.
- 28:37SPEAKER_04: And she's coming to Australia.
- 28:39SPEAKER_03: Don't even.
- 28:40SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 28:40SPEAKER_04: She's supporting Megan Marine.
- 28:42SPEAKER_04: I know.
- 28:42SPEAKER_04: Yeah, yeah.
- 28:44SPEAKER_04: So exciting.
- 28:45SPEAKER_04: So, so exciting.
- 28:46SPEAKER_03: If she is at CMC, I know you guys know who's there, so no.
- 28:51SPEAKER_03: I'm not gonna say too many buzzers.
- 28:52SPEAKER_03: Megan comes after CMC.
- 28:54SPEAKER_03: They wouldn't do it too well.
- 28:55SPEAKER_03: I'm not gonna ask you anything about the land of Demoring.
- 28:58SPEAKER_03: But if CMC has enough coin in the bank to have like Ella Langley is my queen.
- 29:08SPEAKER_03: Yeah, Ella Langley would be your ideal hero.
- 29:10SPEAKER_04: Oh, yeah, let's give you top three favourite country artists of all time.
- 29:16SPEAKER_03: Bro, that's actually really you can scroll if you want.
- 29:18SPEAKER_03: That's really hard.
- 29:19SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 29:20SPEAKER_03: The Dixie Chicks would be cheap.
- 29:23SPEAKER_03: Okay, the chicks, just the chicks?
- 29:24SPEAKER_03: The chicks would be top three for sure.
- 29:28SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 29:29SPEAKER_03: Um, and then I grew up listening to Keith Urban and my dad looks like Keith Urban.
- 29:35SPEAKER_03: So do you get your silky hair from him?
- 29:40SPEAKER_04: He's got really silky hair.
- 29:42SPEAKER_04: My dad, and so do you.
- 29:44SPEAKER_03: So much like him.
- 29:46SPEAKER_03: When my dad and I go out together in public, it is hilarious.
- 29:51SPEAKER_03: Because this one time we were walking on the street with Jolly's.
- 29:54SPEAKER_03: We were going to Zach Brown, me, dad, and mum.
- 29:56SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 29:57SPEAKER_03: And I was walking along, I was yuppa, yuppa, yuppa, as I always am.
- 30:00SPEAKER_03: And this this bird turned around and goes, Are you clear champion?
- 30:04SPEAKER_03: And I go, Yes.
- 30:05SPEAKER_03: And her mum turned around and goes, Are you Keith?
- 30:09SPEAKER_03: And my mum was stood there and she was like, and I'm Sandy.
- 30:13SPEAKER_03: Like, hello.
- 30:15SPEAKER_04: Sandy.
- 30:15SPEAKER_04: Yeah, Sandy.
- 30:16SPEAKER_04: Yes, you're no comedy.
- 30:23SPEAKER_03: I knew I like it was a sibling love hate off the rip.
- 30:26SPEAKER_03: I knew it was one sort of tie there.
- 30:29SPEAKER_03: I knew it.
- 30:30SPEAKER_03: I knew it.
- 30:31SPEAKER_03: My god, speaking of age and CMT, the guy that Emily wingwomaned me for lied about his age, didn't he?
- 30:40SPEAKER_03: Oh, oh younger.
- 30:42SPEAKER_03: Younger.
- 30:43SPEAKER_04: Oh yeah, I'd be victim to that.
- 30:46SPEAKER_04: This is so irritating.
- 30:49SPEAKER_00: What's the Jeepest?
- 30:52SPEAKER_03: Captain Strays left and right, mate, as you deserve.
- 30:55SPEAKER_03: I didn't want to talk about it, but like, let's talk about it.
- 30:56SPEAKER_03: Let's talk about it.
- 30:57SPEAKER_03: Let's talk about it.
- 30:58SPEAKER_03: Um he sorry, after I was already in too deep, he rings you out.
- 31:03SPEAKER_03: He must have got the guilt.
- 31:04SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 31:05SPEAKER_03: They always do.
- 31:07SPEAKER_03: So this was after CMT.
- 31:08SPEAKER_03: Yes.
- 31:09SPEAKER_03: We stayed in touch, didn't we?
- 31:10SPEAKER_03: And even now, we're still in touch.
- 31:13SPEAKER_03: What's the age of the city?
- 31:14SPEAKER_03: But he lives up in Queensland?
- 31:15SPEAKER_03: Mm-hmm.
- 31:16SPEAKER_04: So you're moving up there.
- 31:18SPEAKER_03: Don't be wrong about him in the same.
- 31:22SPEAKER_00: You were said you weren't going up there after a fella.
- 31:24SPEAKER_03: I'm not going up there after a fella.
- 31:26SPEAKER_00: Oh, well.
- 31:27SPEAKER_03: No fella.
- 31:28SPEAKER_03: I'm not.
- 31:29SPEAKER_03: Don't be saying that.
- 31:30SPEAKER_03: He doesn't need that for his ego.
- 31:31SPEAKER_03: I swear to God.
- 31:32SPEAKER_03: And that would don't.
- 31:33SPEAKER_03: I don't.

- 33:52SPEAKER_03: This is I should have left him there and then this man looked me dead in the face and said, Wait, so how old are you?
- 34:00SPEAKER_03: And I said, mm-mm.
- 34:03SPEAKER_03: Cross my arms like I do, and I said, How old are you?
- 34:05SPEAKER_03: And he goes, 25, and I said, Me too! And I was gassed.
- 34:10SPEAKER_04: Oh, so it's only three years.

- 39:43SPEAKER_05: Um like six, seven hours.
- 39:45SPEAKER_05: And he was the next person to go in, and they said sorry, we're at capacity, and then they shut the window so that they couldn't even hear from outside.

- 40:36SPEAKER_03: And I I stretched the friendship and I said, Can I please bring my sister?

- 41:40SPEAKER_03: That is like what I want to manifest.
- 41:42SPEAKER_03: I'm like, I just she just shows up as her, she's a talented queen.
- 41:45SPEAKER_03: She is, doesn't flaunt it, like she's just like this is me, and she's like, I guess I can sing.
- 41:49SPEAKER_03: And then she gets on a microphone and I'm like, honey, you can't just sing.
- 41:52SPEAKER_03: You are incredible.
- 41:53SPEAKER_03: What do you mean?
- 41:54SPEAKER_03: She's so sorry.
- 41:55SPEAKER_03: Yeah, love that.

- 43:13SPEAKER_04: Yes.
- 43:13SPEAKER_04: Okay, so we actually interviewed him in November and November, no, June.
- 43:18SPEAKER_04: And he was such a good storyteller.
- 43:21SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 43:21SPEAKER_04: Yes.
- 43:22SPEAKER_04: Love Interviewee.
- 43:23SPEAKER_04: Interviewee.
- 43:23SPEAKER_04: Love that.
- 43:24SPEAKER_04: You sit someone down and they and then we realized, okay, this is why he's such a talented songwriter, is because he knows how to tell a good story.

- 43:40SPEAKER_03: Oh, that'd be the song of my next dump.
- 43:42SPEAKER_03: Oh, seriously.
- 43:44SPEAKER_04: It's so good.
- 43:44SPEAKER_04: And like every song, it's kind of like, what did I say?
- 43:47SPEAKER_04: Zach Top times Zach Bryant.
- 43:49SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 43:49SPEAKER_04: It's like him, like those two artists kind of like mash together.
- 43:52SPEAKER_04: It's so, so good.
- 43:54SPEAKER_04: And every song sounds really different, but also similar.
- 43:57SPEAKER_03: Ella Langley's Dandelion.
- 44:00SPEAKER_03: Froggy Wenacorton, I'm like, and I love Froggy Winner.
- 44:03SPEAKER_03: I loved Froggy Winner Courten before Ella, okay.
- 44:06SPEAKER_03: That was my shit.
- 44:07SPEAKER_03: Froggy Winner Corton and he did rad.
- 44:10SPEAKER_03: Yeah, but I love, I know all the words to Froggy Winner Courten.
- 44:13SPEAKER_03: So when that album came out, I was like, I was so gassed.
- 44:17SPEAKER_03: I was like, I was like, in my head, I'm like, me and her, went mates, went mates.
- 44:22SPEAKER_03: We are mates.
- 44:23SPEAKER_03: Every time she says some shit, I'm like, I would have said that.

- 44:39SPEAKER_05: Also, this is a side note.
- 44:41SPEAKER_05: We posted something on our TikTok about, or we reposted a Tys Delk video and CMC Rocks liked the video.
- 44:50SPEAKER_05: So you can take with that what you want to take.
- 44:52SPEAKER_05: That's teasing.
- 44:54SPEAKER_05: It is called you bread crumbing on.
- 44:56SPEAKER_05: It is called Up There, Down Here.

- 45:09SPEAKER_05: For me?
- 45:10SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
- 45:11SPEAKER_05: Yeah, yeah.
- 45:13SPEAKER_05: The game is saddle up and pick your cowboy.
- 45:16SPEAKER_05: But basically, you pick who you want to keep.
- 45:19SPEAKER_05: So whether you want Riley Green or Morgan Mollin, and we're gonna just go through a couple people and at the end you'll pick who your cowboy is.
- 45:26SPEAKER_03: I love this.
- 45:27SPEAKER_03: Is this is this like wait, is one of them at the back or something?
- 45:31SPEAKER_05: If you guys surprise me, you'll be like, Hey, Riley Green! No, I don't want Riley Green.
- 45:40SPEAKER_05: Okay, so we're picking Morgan over Riley.
- 45:42SPEAKER_05: Oh, it's like without a doubt.
- 45:46SPEAKER_05: Do you know who that is?
- 45:48SPEAKER_05: Yes, you do.
- 45:53SPEAKER_03: That's my boy! Oh, because I love him.
- 45:58SPEAKER_03: The two of us together.
- 46:00SPEAKER_03: Nightmare fair.
- 46:01SPEAKER_03: I can see that.
- 46:02SPEAKER_03: Night.
- 46:04SPEAKER_03: When we were both working for Outwest.
- 46:07SPEAKER_03: Dude, unfortunately, it's gotta be Morgan.
- 46:09SPEAKER_03: He's crazy.
- 46:11SPEAKER_02: He is, he's nuts.
- 46:12SPEAKER_03: It still has to be Morgan, I'm sorry.
- 46:16SPEAKER_02: Oh, that's a hard one.
- 46:18SPEAKER_04: He's like the hottest thing to write Morgan's arts right now.
- 46:22SPEAKER_02: That's gotta be Morgan.
- 46:23SPEAKER_02: I'm sorry.
- 46:24SPEAKER_02: Yep.
- 46:25SPEAKER_04: So ugly.
- 46:27SPEAKER_02: Sorry.
- 46:27SPEAKER_02: Get out of here.
- 46:30SPEAKER_02: Oh, there's way more than I thought there was.
- 46:33SPEAKER_02: It's gotta be Morgan, I'm sorry.
- 46:35SPEAKER_02: Are you picking this just off the woods?
- 46:39SPEAKER_01: Gavin!
- 46:40SPEAKER_03: It's gotta be Gavin full every day.
- 46:42SPEAKER_03: Cancel the rest of the woods.
- 46:44SPEAKER_03: And I was shit for this because I know he has a missus, but I we love her as well.
- 46:48SPEAKER_03: Love that man.
- 46:49SPEAKER_03: I don't know much about her, but I did you know?
- 46:53SPEAKER_03: I probably did.
- 46:55SPEAKER_03: You probably did.
- 46:57SPEAKER_03: You probably do know that Gavin Adcock eats a rack of ribs before every show.
- 47:05SPEAKER_05: I am not surprised.
- 47:07SPEAKER_03: No, it's a country night boy to tell you that.
- 47:09SPEAKER_03: No, it's a Gavin Adcock fact.
- 47:11SPEAKER_03: I dug for that, okay?
- 47:13SPEAKER_03: And he, if he doesn't get his rack of ribs, he has a shit show.
- 47:17SPEAKER_03: So when he was up there on the stage at CMC, I was also with he who shall not be named, and it was the littest time of my life.
- 47:26SPEAKER_03: And homeboy was up there sweaty with his shirt off, singing that thing.
- 47:33SPEAKER_03: And I was like looking at him and I was like, the fact that you ate a rack of ribs did something to me.
- 47:39SPEAKER_03: I don't know what it is.
- 47:40SPEAKER_03: I'm like, Loki, you should mark it with that.
- 47:42SPEAKER_03: How did you do that?
- 47:42SPEAKER_03: Gavin or Parker?
- 47:44SPEAKER_05: Oh.
- 47:45SPEAKER_05: I think Parker is so hot.
- 47:47SPEAKER_03: He's so hot.
- 47:48SPEAKER_03: I know, but he looks too, he's too sensible.
- 47:50SPEAKER_03: Yeah, he also has like family now.
- 47:52SPEAKER_04: Oh no.
- 47:53SPEAKER_04: No, not into the family men.
- 47:54SPEAKER_04: Okay.
- 47:58unknown: Gavin.
- 47:59SPEAKER_05: Do you know who that is?
- 48:01SPEAKER_05: Oh, it's Matt Geiger.
- 48:03SPEAKER_04: You sure?
- 48:04SPEAKER_05: Oh my goodness.
- 48:07SPEAKER_03: Oh, I've ruined the friendship.
- 48:09SPEAKER_04: No! No, it's okay, it's okay.
- 48:11SPEAKER_04: He had I don't know how you've missed this because he's been all over.
- 48:14SPEAKER_04: But like that's my type.
- 48:15SPEAKER_04: This is um Matt Geiger.
- 48:17SPEAKER_04: He's an Australian guy from a cattle station outside of Rocky.
- 48:21SPEAKER_04: Oh, lovely.
- 48:22SPEAKER_04: And he has blown up like no other Australian bye.
- 48:26SPEAKER_04: You would know the song.
- 48:28SPEAKER_03: I no.
- 48:28SPEAKER_03: I don't think so.
- 48:30SPEAKER_03: Wait, I love this.
- 48:31SPEAKER_03: Okay, cool.
- 48:31SPEAKER_03: It has millions and millions of.
- 48:33SPEAKER_03: Thank you streams.
- 48:36SPEAKER_03: Oh, he's fantastic.
- 48:36SPEAKER_03: It's got like 20 million.
- 48:38SPEAKER_03: More.
- 48:40SPEAKER_02: When you call me.
- 48:42SPEAKER_02: Yeah, yeah.
- 48:43SPEAKER_02: This is him.
- 48:44SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 48:45SPEAKER_04: Oh.
- 48:45SPEAKER_03: I'm afraid Gavin.
- 48:47SPEAKER_04: Dude has 45 million streams, and it was his second song ever to be released.
- 48:51SPEAKER_04: Billboard charts in America.
- 48:53SPEAKER_04: And he's Australian and he's country.
- 48:54SPEAKER_04: And he's like 19.
- 48:56SPEAKER_03: Oh my god.
- 48:56SPEAKER_03: Yeah, yeah.
- 48:57SPEAKER_03: I know.
- 48:57SPEAKER_03: I just put it in the middle of the street.
- 48:58SPEAKER_03: I was about to choose him, and then you said he was 19.
- 49:00SPEAKER_03: Also, Gavin is 26.
- 49:03SPEAKER_03: Perfect.
- 49:04SPEAKER_03: Oh, that's a tricky one!
- 49:09SPEAKER_04: Oh can confirm he's just as hot, if not hotter, in person.
- 49:13SPEAKER_04: Sitting in that chair.
- 49:15SPEAKER_01: No.
- 49:16SPEAKER_01: On this?
- 49:17SPEAKER_01: On that chair.
- 49:19SPEAKER_01: I'm gonna need to take deers.
- 49:21SPEAKER_04: Yeah, he did sit in fact in that seat.
- 49:23SPEAKER_01: Really?
- 49:24SPEAKER_00: Apparently it still smells like him.
- 49:27SPEAKER_01: How would you know that?
- 49:29SPEAKER_04: How would you know that?
- 49:32SPEAKER_04: This is a big call.
- 49:33SPEAKER_03: Tucker's proches.
- 49:36SPEAKER_03: Like if I'm talking about like who I want, yeah.
- 49:39SPEAKER_03: And it's I want Gavin.
- 49:40SPEAKER_04: The closer.
- 49:41SPEAKER_03: Like I want to look at Tucker, but like I'll end up with Gavin.
- 49:45SPEAKER_04: Yeah, agreed.
- 49:49SPEAKER_03: No, that's hard because I do love him.
- 49:51SPEAKER_05: I do too.
- 49:52SPEAKER_05: And he's like fun.
- 49:54SPEAKER_03: Shit.
- 49:55SPEAKER_05: I think Wade would respect you for saying Gavin.
- 49:58SPEAKER_05: I think so too.
- 49:59SPEAKER_05: Like he would be disappointed if you said him.
- 50:02SPEAKER_03: I know, but I really love him.
- 50:03SPEAKER_04: Oh he's oh Yeah, well, this is I didn't realise we were gonna put pull the heartstrings here.
- 50:08SPEAKER_03: Shit.
- 50:09SPEAKER_03: No, this is proper.
- 50:10SPEAKER_05: Wow.
- 50:11SPEAKER_05: He likes brunettes as well.
- 50:15unknown: Well, I I'm gonna go Wade.
- 50:17SPEAKER_00: Whoa! Okay, it's kind of.
- 50:21SPEAKER_00: Wade's more of a proper cowboy.
- 50:22SPEAKER_05: Just Okay, it's kinda hard to find a good photo of Zach Top.
- 50:29SPEAKER_05: Oh my god, that's a good one.
- 50:30SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 50:31SPEAKER_05: I like that one.
- 50:32SPEAKER_04: This is the last one.
- 50:33SPEAKER_04: You're picking your final cowboy.
- 50:35SPEAKER_03: I've gotta go, Wade.
- 50:36SPEAKER_04: Wow.
- 50:37SPEAKER_04: I'll go off Wade.
- 50:42SPEAKER_05: Wait, I'm a blush and I'll coming in.
- 50:46SPEAKER_05: If we knew it was Wade, Wade is like the only one out of all these people we could have had more.
- 50:53SPEAKER_05: They're casting up like that.
- 50:55SPEAKER_05: Wait out of all of them.
- 50:56SPEAKER_03: That's the only one we probably could have organized.
- 51:00SPEAKER_03: You're like, damn, we actually have that contact.
- 51:02SPEAKER_03: I just didn't think that was turned out like no, no, I think he's a legend.
- 51:06SPEAKER_03: He is a legend.
- 51:07SPEAKER_03: I love everything he does for mental health.
- 51:10SPEAKER_03: And I just love that he's a real, he doesn't use auto-tune.
- 51:14SPEAKER_03: He's just himself.
- 51:16SPEAKER_03: And I love that he is a heart on his sleeve type of bloke.
- 51:20SPEAKER_03: I feel like a lot of people claim to have their hearts on the sleeve, but they don't.
- 51:24SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 51:24SPEAKER_03: And I feel like he just strikes me as a real person who's like, nah, it's there and I'm not afraid of it.
- 51:29SPEAKER_03: And I'm like, I love that.
- 51:30SPEAKER_04: Super honest.
- 51:31SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 51:33SPEAKER_04: I love that.
- 51:34SPEAKER_04: And he's such a legend.
- 51:35SPEAKER_04: Like, he knows how to have a good time as well.
- 51:36SPEAKER_04: Love that.
- 51:37SPEAKER_04: What's your type?
- 51:38SPEAKER_03: It's my guy.
- 51:39SPEAKER_03: Um you're looking out of money.
- 51:41SPEAKER_03: Nah, um, just favorite colour, blue colour, obviously.
- 51:46SPEAKER_03: Okay.
- 51:47SPEAKER_03: Um yeah, I think for a long time I was like afraid of what my actual type is.
- 51:53SPEAKER_03: I like them tall.
- 51:55SPEAKER_03: And shoulders are my favorite feature.
- 51:57SPEAKER_04: Okay.
- 51:58SPEAKER_03: Shoulders and biceps.
- 51:59SPEAKER_03: Taking note.
- 51:59SPEAKER_03: Don't care about your abs.
- 52:01SPEAKER_03: I think they're performative.
- 52:02SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 52:02SPEAKER_03: And I think anyone who has abs has too much free time.
- 52:05SPEAKER_03: Personally.
- 52:06SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 52:06SPEAKER_03: Um I like someone who has a clue about them who just like knows how to do shit.
- 52:12SPEAKER_03: I think being an eldest daughter, you just figure a lot of shit out and like spend a lot of time just doing shit for other people.
- 52:19SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 52:20SPEAKER_03: Um, and I love being able to not have to change my own light bulbs or change my own tire.
- 52:26SPEAKER_03: Like, I'm capable of doing that.
- 52:27SPEAKER_03: Yeah, just someone who has a clue about them where I can be like, hey, I really want to like build this or do this.
- 52:34SPEAKER_03: And they're like, no worries, I can do that.
- 52:36SPEAKER_03: And I'm like, Yeah.
- 52:38SPEAKER_05: Like I'm a no city boy can do that.
- 52:40SPEAKER_05: I feel like that's that's why you gotta go country.
- 52:42SPEAKER_03: Agreed, agreed.
- 52:43SPEAKER_03: And like I had someone who was a bit of a city slick, and I'm just like, you know what?
- 52:49SPEAKER_03: I need to lean into a little bit more of my time and not be afraid of that.
- 52:53SPEAKER_03: Because eventually, I'll like I think for women especially, we need to tell ourselves it's okay to want all the boxes ticked.
- 53:02SPEAKER_03: Like, we just don't need to make excuses for bullshit.
- 53:07SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 53:07SPEAKER_03: And I made excuses for bullshit for a really long time.
- 53:11SPEAKER_03: And I have just decided I'm not gonna be pretending that I don't want the boxes ticked now.
- 53:17SPEAKER_03: Like we deserved, we we deserve, I deserved to have all the boxes ticked.
- 53:22SPEAKER_03: Is that why you ended your engagement?
- 53:24SPEAKER_03: Uh yeah, that among other things.
- 53:26SPEAKER_03: I've always been such a crusader for consent and just like really knowing where the line is.
- 53:32SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 53:33SPEAKER_03: And it's unfortunate that it falls on the female to advocate for that.
- 53:38SPEAKER_03: It was, yeah, I was just like, I am not a pretender and I can't keep pretending.
- 53:42SPEAKER_03: And I deserve respect and I deserve, I deserve to be heard, and I deserve to be loved out loud, and I deserve to be happy and be really attracted to the person that I marry.
- 53:53SPEAKER_03: Like I want to see my husband and I want to think he's the goddamn coolest.
- 54:02SPEAKER_05: He's gonna consume a rack of ribs before going sweaty on date.
- 54:08SPEAKER_03: Everyone deserves that, and I just think life's too short to not want to be like, that's my guy.
- 54:14SPEAKER_03: That's my fucking guy.
- 54:16SPEAKER_03: And it was just a shame because I loved him out loud like that for so long.
- 54:19SPEAKER_04: Oh, I hate that.
- 54:20SPEAKER_03: And it was so excellent, and like I know what love is.
- 54:23SPEAKER_03: That's not love.
- 54:24SPEAKER_04: No.
- 54:25SPEAKER_03: No, and I will crusade for that until the day that I die.
- 54:29SPEAKER_03: Don't ever wash your boundaries.
- 54:32SPEAKER_03: Girls, hear me when I say that.
- 54:34SPEAKER_04: Okay, here's your lesson.
- 54:36SPEAKER_03: Here's my message.
- 54:38SPEAKER_03: Don't ever let anybody tell you that something that you are not comfortable with makes you a freak or makes you weird or makes you a prude.
- 54:47SPEAKER_03: If you're not comfortable with it or you're not okay, not okay with it, then it doesn't happen, period.
- 54:51SPEAKER_03: Don't ever blur those lines for nobody.
- 54:54SPEAKER_03: Even if there's a rock on your hand.
- 54:57SPEAKER_03: Dude, imagine if in three years' time I marry Wade Foster.
- 55:00SPEAKER_05: This is a week craziest loom.
- 55:02SPEAKER_05: I'm serious.
- 55:03SPEAKER_05: One he he does seem really in love with this new girl though.
- 55:06SPEAKER_05: God damn it.
- 55:07SPEAKER_05: Yeah, he does.
- 55:07SPEAKER_05: It's very cute.
- 55:08SPEAKER_05: They're very cute.
- 55:09SPEAKER_05: I love that.
- 55:09SPEAKER_05: And he deserves that.
- 55:10SPEAKER_05: Yeah, he does, he does.
- 55:11SPEAKER_05: He really does have you wait.
- 55:13SPEAKER_05: I kind of agree.
- 55:14SPEAKER_05: They do.
- 55:14SPEAKER_04: You do look quite similar to herself.
- 55:19SPEAKER_05: And you're it.
- 55:21SPEAKER_05: No, but let them be in.
- 55:23SPEAKER_05: And she's a TikToker as well.
- 55:24SPEAKER_05: Is she?
- 55:25SPEAKER_05: No!
- 55:25SPEAKER_03: Bird stole my job.
- 55:29SPEAKER_03: I didn't see the ad for that.
- 55:31SPEAKER_03: No.
- 55:32SPEAKER_03: It was not advertising my area.
- 55:34SPEAKER_05: Go on the pink girl.
- 55:36SPEAKER_06: Oh god.
- 55:38SPEAKER_05: Okay, we have one more final question we're asking, gonna ask everyone, and it is for someone who doesn't like country music, who would be like your gateway country artist for someone to listen to, or like advice for someone who thinks that they don't like country.
- 55:53SPEAKER_03: I mean, the obvious one would be Ella, just because of where she is right now.
- 55:59SPEAKER_03: Um that is um I would say probably only because he's one of my faves, but I would say a Chris Stapleton just like just to like respect it.
- 56:15SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 56:15SPEAKER_03: You know what I mean?
- 56:16SPEAKER_03: Like I'm like, I might no no no, it's not just a row now, not all of it's twangy like that.
- 56:21SPEAKER_03: Like these people have shit to say.
- 56:23SPEAKER_03: And like if you like I want them to appreciate it before they enjoy it.
- 56:26SPEAKER_03: So I would definitely be like, just so you can appreciate it from a logical point of view, listen to some Chris Stapleton.
- 56:33SPEAKER_03: He's incredible, so talented, would probably start there.
- 56:36SPEAKER_03: And then I would say also there's baddies in the game.
- 56:39SPEAKER_03: There is baddies in the game.
- 56:40SPEAKER_03: And then I would I'd probably hey Dolly, I would probably play someone like a Lacey, just because again, I think she's so different and she's so talented, like it's an undeniable talent.
- 56:54SPEAKER_03: And then I'd probably hit them with a Florida Georgia lion because it's a yeah.
- 56:57SPEAKER_03: I love it's a great year.
- 57:01SPEAKER_03: Yeah, like I was on a journey.
- 57:02SPEAKER_03: Yes, you've got to be on a journey.
- 57:04SPEAKER_03: Like you need to hear it, respect it, and then be like, okay, and then when you have the respect, I'm gonna be like, and now we get to yeah.
- 57:12SPEAKER_03: They've earned the yeeha, you know what I mean?
- 57:14SPEAKER_03: They definitely have yeah, okay.
- 57:16SPEAKER_04: Well, guys, make sure you follow Claire Champion on TikTok, Instagram, find her on you have YouTube?
- 57:22SPEAKER_04: No, I've been thinking about it.
