  When I say that you are an instrument of love, you are an instrument of love.

  How do you feel when I tell you that you are an instrument of love?

  You are an instrument of love, and so when you are not expressing yourself,

  babes, the universe is crying, we are all so much worse off for that, my love.

  When you have drafts that never get posted, when you have something to say at a dinner table
• 0:38
  or at a talk that you attend or an event, a gathering, a book club,
• 0:42
  and you keep your thoughts to yourself because you're afraid they're not good enough,
• 0:47
  when you have music to share or to make, but you somehow feel blocked in your throat at the same time,
• 0:53
  when you feel so cold to write and share your writing, and you don't,
• 1:00
  there's a grief to that. Can you feel it? Like there's a collective grief of all that would have been,
• 1:06
  had we not all been conditioned and programmed this way. There's a collective grief
• 1:10
  that we can feel into all the books we haven't been able to read, all the music we haven't been
• 1:16
  able to hear, all the poems we haven't been able to be moved by. And you, my love,
• 1:23
  you're an instrument of the divine, you're an instrument of love, and your voice is here to be
• 1:30
  expressed. You are an instrument of love, your creations, your teachings, your poems,
• 1:40
  your cartoons and drawings, your music, your dance, your ideas of what could be the events you
• 1:48
  want to have, the spaces you want to hold, the podcasts you want to start. You are an instrument of
• 1:54
  love. Through you, love gets to reach a more full expression in this life. Through you, love gets to
• 2:01
  touch all the corners of the world in this life. Through you, love gets to be amplified and expressed
• 2:08
  even more fully. And so when you are silencing your voice, obviously from your conditioning,
• 2:14
  from your programming, because it's very unnatural for being in nature to silence its own expression.
• 2:21
  And we see this in children, that children want to be expressed and expressive. We see this in
• 2:27
  plants and flowers and the moon just standing there proudly in its majesty. Look at me,
• 2:34
  lighting up the earth, look at me, pulling on the oceans, look at me. There was a song that I made
• 2:40
  up for myself last year. Was it last year or my word? How is it April, almost? But essentially,
• 2:47
  it was something like like the stars, like the stars, and the trees. Oh,
• 2:57
  it was something like like the stars, the trees, the moon, the universe expands through you,
• 3:09
  like the children and the trees, you deserve to be seen. There's a new earth coming through
• 3:17
  and my darling, it shows you like the stars, the trees, the moon, the universe expands through you,
• 3:26
  grows through you, heals through you, loves through you, something like that. Okay, okay. And I'm
• 3:33
  not going to let perfectionism ruin that moment. Sing, babes, don't judge your voice, just sing.

  Okay, it's not about how good of a singer you are. It's about the fact that you can make music in
• 3:42
  the first place purely with your vocal chords. I lost my voice recently for four weeks. You know,
• 3:49
  being unwell, sending so much love to all our soul siblings who are facing health challenges,
• 3:55
  chronic health challenges, ongoing health challenges. We are sending you so much healing,
• 4:00
  energy, so much love. Health is everything. And when we have it, we don't think about it,
• 4:06
  we take it for granted. When we don't have it, all we think is, if only I could have what I had
• 4:11
  before in terms of my health, I would be so grateful. I'd be so grateful. So we are with you,
• 4:15
  we're sending you so, so, so much love. And I'm not trying to trivialize just the depth of
• 4:20
  how severe some of the health challenges people in our community and our soul collective may be
• 4:25
  facing in this moment. We are with you. I had a voice injury for about three weeks and I couldn't
• 4:32
  sing. And I said to myself, oh my word, all I want to do is to be able to sing. So if you are judging
• 4:38
  your voice and how it sounds, I want to remind you that it is such a gift that you can sing at all.
• 4:44
  And that gift of life, that gift of music, that gift of expression just wants to be expressed.
• 4:49
  This is true of dancing, it's true of movement, it's true of holding hands, it's true of intimacy,
• 4:53
  it's true of all the things, the fact that we get to, the fact that we get to, like perfectionism
• 4:59
  is such a disservice to the fact that we get to. So the fact that I get to speak right now,
• 5:07
  that's my gift. And being an instrument of love, which you are, you are babes, we all know this,
• 5:16
  you're part of, how did we get here? Love a vibe where we forget because it gives us the gift
• 5:23
  of remembering. So, hmm, so it was singing, oh I came up with the song, don't judge your voice.
• 5:36
  Oh, it's very unnatural for any being in nature to suppress its own expression.
• 5:48
  The leaves, they're going to fall on the ground one way or another, the soil, it's going to soil
• 5:55
  one way or another until the humans and the corporations and the capitalist system even destroys
• 6:01
  the soil so we don't even get as much nutrition or safety from the land.
• 6:07
  Hey, who? But anyways, so we are coming home to expression. And here's what I believe, my
• 6:15
  darling, my loves, my angels, every human being on this earth, whether they know it consciously or not,
• 6:21
  wants to be invited into love. Most people don't know that, okay? They don't know how much they are
• 6:30
  seeking for love and some people do know that and some people are only allowing that seeking that
• 6:36
  yearning to be expressed through their seeking of romantic love. So all their imagination about love
• 6:42
  is narrowed and funneled into this tiny vessel of finding one partner and that is by design. If
• 6:49
  this social structure can constrain, they know that we need love but can constrain our imagination
• 6:55
  for love and its possibilities into one person with a lot of unrealistic expectations surrounding
• 7:03
  that one person in terms of the competing needs that they need to fulfill. And then layer onto that
• 7:08
  a hierarchical system where what we've been taught to desire actually makes us set up to not
• 7:14
  receive the kind of love that would be most nurturing and nourishing to us because we're taught to
• 7:19
  desire beauty, status, success. So if you have a society where people are dreaming of loving one
• 7:28
  person, they're also dreaming of that person meeting certain criteria that most of the population
• 7:32
  don't meet, you are setting them up to have their desires for love thwarted. Okay, okay, okay. So
• 7:39
  my word, what what a vibe, what's going on, what will happen next? So I keep forgetting what I
• 7:46
  literally just said. That's again, the gift of remembering. Oh, so so many people don't even know
• 7:59
  how much they are longing for love or if they do know, they funnel it into this one ideal. Okay,
• 8:04
  so you, my darling, my love, my angel, as an instrument of love, you invite people into more love
• 8:12
  by you sharing your curiosities. Your notes app alone could change lives. Let's talk about that.

  Let's just talk about that. Your notes app on its own could change lives. You know, if I said to you,
• 8:27
  if you had the cure for cancer, would you share it with people? You'd be like absolutely, but then
• 8:32
  but then think about it. You do because of health is holistic, meaning it is spiritual,
• 8:36
  emotional, it is relational, it is sexual, it is intellectual, all of these components of health
• 8:45
  make someone more likely to live a life of health. If they feel healthy in all of those ways and
• 8:52
  you bring at least one of those, you bring spiritual health or you bring physical health, maybe
• 8:56
  you support people with dance and movement and it's all connected, right? Dance and movement will
• 9:00
  help your spiritual health that will help your emotional health. You bring emotional health,
• 9:04
  you bring healing. So babes, you actually do have the cure for cancer because people who
• 9:09
  have support systems, people who have purpose, people who love themselves, so you actually do have
• 9:16
  the cure for cancer because you bring healing, health and healing. So your notes app alone could cure
• 9:22
  lives, could change lives. So you actually didn't come here to hide your gifts. You are an instrument
• 9:28
  of love. You know, when you see a musician and they're literally their eyes are closed, they're
• 9:32
  one with their music. They're being so generous in their sharing and they're making of music and
• 9:38
  their devotion to music. So how can we be closed eyes, playing our instrument of love, making our
• 9:45
  videos, writing our poems, whatever we feel cold in this moment to create, to support the kind of
• 9:53
  world we wish to see, to support love and liberation. Some of us, that is on the streets,
• 9:59
  some of us, that is in poetry, some of us it's both. Okay, so you are an instrument of love,
• 10:05
  my darling, so sing, so express and you know what's so powerful about love? Love doesn't mind being
• 10:14
  judged. When you love someone and you confess your love for them, let's say you love your best
• 10:24
  friend. You're in love with your best friend. I know some of you out there. It's true. And I'm on a
• 10:29
  mission to help you have the courage to tell them, but in your expression of that, let's say you
• 10:34
  confess your love, your instrument of love in that way, in that very direct way, you're saying,
• 10:38
  you know what look, I love you, I know we're friends and I really believe that this is a beautiful
• 10:42
  foundation for us to step into a different expression of our love. Okay, as you're being an
• 10:48
  instrument for love, you may be afraid, but the love that's being expressed through you is not
• 10:53
  afraid. Did you hear that? You may be afraid, but the love that is being expressed through you
• 11:11
  is not afraid. I may be afraid making this video. Have I said enough? Is it confusing? Am I all over
• 11:20
  the place? The love that is trying to be expressed through me, the possibility that by you receiving
• 11:25
  this message, you identify yourself even more deeply with what you know to be true, which is you
• 11:30
  as an instrument of love as an instrument of the divine, as an instrument of all that is loving in
• 11:36
  this universe and you receive that and it nourishes you and it nourishes you and you take that
• 11:42
  nourishment and it becomes through you a home for something else. That love in this video, the love
• 11:50
  in the video, think of a consciousness here, a love in the video, just like when you eat food made
• 11:58
  by someone who loves you, the frequency, the energy of that food is so different from if you eat
• 12:05
  food at a restaurant. You can feel the love in the food. And so love is its own beautiful divine energy.
• 12:17
  It's part of us and we're part of it and also it's beyond. It's transcendent. So the love in this
• 12:24
  video is not afraid. It's not afraid. It's not afraid of being judged. The love in the love, the
• 12:32
  energy of love, it's not afraid. So as an instrument of love, just like the music that wants to be
• 12:42
  expressed through the violinist, the music is not afraid. The violinist may be afraid. The
• 12:48
  frequency of sound that wants to come through, the sweetness or even the sorrow, the moving energy
• 12:55
  that wants to come through the violinist, it's not afraid. So the love that wants to be expressed
• 13:01
  through you is not afraid. And if you can lean into that, lean into love, love, the little
• 13:04
  eliteration there. Oh, came back for more. If you can lean into love, how I like to see it,
• 13:11
  is you know, when you're like at a picnic or sitting on grass and you see maybe you've either
• 13:17
  been in this position or seen someone, one person is sitting and the other is like lying in their
• 13:21
  lap and they're like looking up to the skies. You can always imagine that there is this nurturing,
• 13:29
  divine, mothering energy of unconditional love holding you at all times, just like you are lying
• 13:37
  down and you're at a picnic of life. And this nurturing energy is holding you. This comes to me
• 13:43
  meditation all the time. You're always held. You're in the arms of this, of love, of God, of the divine
• 13:50
  mother. That's how it comes to me. It's like this unconditional love that comes to me through the
• 13:55
  archetype of mother, which is understood across cultures. This divine mother, this loving mother,
• 14:01
  this representation of unconditional love. And it's so funny because if you didn't know that someone
• 14:06
  was there and you were wanting to lie down, which in this case means leaning into a new project
• 14:13
  idea or vision you have for yourself, your relationships for your life, but you didn't trust that
• 14:18
  someone was there. You were tense, right? Your core muscles would be tensed. You wouldn't feel
• 14:23
  held. So you're leaning back and you don't feel like someone is there supporting you. And so the
• 14:27
  faith it takes to say, Oh, wow, I'm always supported. I'm always supported. Look at the earth supporting
• 14:38
  me. Look at the water supporting me. Look at the ground beneath my feet. Look how I'm sent the
• 14:44
  exact messages and teachers that I need at the exact moment. Look at the book supporting me.
• 14:51
  Look at the poems. Look at the poets. Look at the writers. Look at the musician supporting me.
• 14:57
  Offering me their music. Here you go. Here's my most painful experience put into a song for you
• 15:02
  when you're going through heartbreak. Here you go. Here you go. I'm always being supported.
• 15:08
  And just as these instruments of love have inspired me, have moved me, have helped me to feel so
• 15:14
  seen and understood what I see in them is in me. It is me. I too am an instrument of love. We all
• 15:22
  are and can be. But the question is, will we be brave enough to lean into love? To trust that
• 15:31
  loving presence is with us at all times so that we're not looking to our audience or our parents
• 15:36
  or our family to validate what we are doing. So being loves instrument means the love that I
• 15:44
  am here to express is a gift to be given, not ordered, not kept to myself. It is a frequency to be
• 15:51
  shared, not silenced. And as an instrument of love, things will be asked of me. We ask things of
• 16:03
  the piano. We ask things of the flute. We ask things of the voice. And sometimes it's like babes know,
• 16:10
  I need a break. And as loves instrument, you will be asked to make music with this life.
• 16:20
  You will be asked to surrender. The violin needs to surrender to the bow and to the violinist
• 16:29
  for music to be made. The drums cannot control what happens next. They must surrender. They must
• 16:35
  surrender to receive and to co-create with the drummer. So in what ways can you surrender
• 16:46
  into being an instrument of love? In what ways can you move with faith, resting in love's lap,
• 16:56
  leaning back into love, which is your birthright? And how can you have so much love and trust
• 17:04
  in the love itself that's trying to be expressed through you that you don't look outside of
• 17:09
  yourself for understanding, knowing that it will come because we do understand. It's just not the
• 17:18
  same way that you may be seeking understanding from. Okay, my darling, my love, my angel. I love
