  Speaker 1: I come to you in prayer to be able to

  Speaker 1: have the Holy Spirit be able to speak through this

  Speaker 1: mic and go through the listeners' ears and be able
• 0:17
  Speaker 1: to reach their hearts and minds and be able to
• 0:19
  Speaker 1: apply these verses in Mark chapter 11. In the mighty
• 0:24
  Speaker 1: name of Jesus, I pray.

  Speaker 2: Amen.

  Speaker 1: See, I kind of tried to switch the prayer up
• 0:29
  Speaker 1: a little bit and I also want to mention that
• 0:32
  Speaker 1: Mark chapter 11.

  Speaker 2: My name is Mark.

  Speaker 1: But I also want to point out that I'm not
• 0:39
  Speaker 1: singling you, the listener, out when I do that prayer
• 0:43
  Speaker 1: in the beginning. It's also for me. I'm a listener too.

  Speaker 1: And the Holy Spirit speaks through me because I put
• 0:51
  Speaker 1: on that consciousness of Christ. I am not better than you,
• 0:55
  Speaker 1: the believer, or better than you, a follower, that has
• 0:58
  Speaker 1: maybe more time as a follower. We all have a
• 1:02
  Speaker 1: unique purpose in this journey. Please remind yourself that. You
• 1:11
  Speaker 1: don't need to compare like some of these other things
• 1:17
  Speaker 1: that we do to try to compete and try to
• 1:20
  Speaker 1: who's better, who's this, who's that. You'll have a lot
• 1:23
  Speaker 1: of people that just go to church that are looking
• 1:26
  Speaker 1: for that. They're looking for perfection, but the perfection is
• 1:29
  Speaker 1: only in Jesus Christ himself.
• 1:31
  Speaker 2: Amen?

  Speaker 1: So let's jump into it, Mark chapter 11, and it
• 1:34
  Speaker 1: is titled, Crowds Praise Jesus as He Rides into Jerusalem.

  Speaker 1: Mark chapter 11 verse 1 states, Jesus and his disciples
• 1:43
  Speaker 1: were coming near to Jerusalem. They were almost at the
• 1:48
  Speaker 1: villages called Bethpage and Bethany on the Mount of Olives.

  Speaker 1: Then Jesus sent two of his disciples.
• 1:58
  Speaker 2: To go further.

  Speaker 1: He said to them, go into the village that is
• 2:03
  Speaker 1: in front of you. When you arrive there, you will
• 2:06
  Speaker 1: immediately see a young donkey. Someone has tied it there.

  Speaker 1: Nobody has ridden on it. Undo the rope and bring
• 2:16
  Speaker 1: the donkey here to me. Someone may ask you, why
• 2:20
  Speaker 1: are you doing this? Then say, the master needs the donkey.
• 2:25
  Speaker 1: He will send it back here soon. So Jesus right here,
• 2:32
  Speaker 1: It's kind of.
• 2:35
  Speaker 2: Borrowing the donkey, right?
• 2:37
  Speaker 1: In these first three verses, no matter where Jesus tells
• 2:42
  Speaker 1: you to go, by following him, even when it doesn't
• 2:49
  Speaker 1: feel right, and even when the thoughts aren't right, this
• 2:55
  Speaker 1: is where faith comes in. Because sometimes doing the right
• 2:59
  Speaker 1: thing feels wrong sometimes doing the wrong thing feels right
• 3:05
  Speaker 1: excuse me had a little burp there and I say
• 3:07
  Speaker 1: that from experience because I was a believer for 20
• 3:10
  Speaker 1: years jumping in and jumping out and not necessarily being
• 3:15
  Speaker 1: committed until I was about 23 and then I got
• 3:20
  Speaker 1: baptized and that was another journey as well I believe that.
• 3:27
  Speaker 2: Everybody has their.
• 3:29
  Speaker 1: Own timing when it comes to how God really wants
• 3:33
  Speaker 1: to move in their life. And if you feel kind
• 3:36
  Speaker 1: of stuck, you're not alone. And you're going to feel
• 3:41
  Speaker 1: unstuck and then you're going to feel stuck. Life is
• 3:44
  Speaker 1: not meant to be full of happiness.
• 3:48
  Speaker 2: There's a lot of lessons. There's a lot of blessings.
• 3:52
  Speaker 1: If you look at life like you've lost or you've
• 3:55
  Speaker 1: got losses instead of lessons... Your self-esteem and your confidence
• 4:00
  Speaker 1: is going to hinder. So as we get into verse 4, 5,
• 4:05
  Speaker 1: and 6, I want you to really keep an open
• 4:09
  Speaker 1: mind about the first three verses that we've already read.
• 4:13
  Speaker 1: And how Jesus told only a few, a couple, of
• 4:22
  Speaker 1: his disciples to go further and get that donkey. He
• 4:24
  Speaker 1: didn't say, alright, all 12, go get it. Tell that master,
• 4:27
  Speaker 1: you know, like, go steal it.
• 4:30
  Speaker 2: You know?
• 4:32
  Speaker 1: And I can only imagine how they probably felt going
• 4:36
  Speaker 1: to get that donkey.
• 4:37
  Speaker 2: But they did it anyways. Praise God. Praise Jesus. Praise
• 4:41
  Speaker 2: Holy Spirit.
• 4:43
  Speaker 1: So Mark chapter 11 verse 4 states, So the two
• 4:46
  Speaker 1: disciples went into the village. They found the young donkey
• 4:50
  Speaker 1: in the street. Someone had tied it outside at a door.
• 4:54
  Speaker 1: So the disciples undid the rope. Some people were standing there.
• 5:00
  Speaker 1: They asked the two disciples, what are you doing? Why
• 5:04
  Speaker 1: are you undoing the donkey's rope? The disciples answered them.
• 5:12
  Speaker 1: They repeated what Jesus had told them to say. I'm
• 5:16
  Speaker 1: going to stop right there.
• 5:19
  Speaker 2: The disciples answered them. They repeated. They repeated what Jesus.
• 5:24
  Speaker 1: Had told them to say. Jesus already knew exactly what
• 5:29
  Speaker 1: he needed them to say.
• 5:31
  Speaker 2: And this is why.
• 5:32
  Speaker 1: The people then let them take the donkey away. The
• 5:36
  Speaker 1: two disciples brought the young donkey to Jesus. They put
• 5:41
  Speaker 1: their coats on its back and Jesus sat on it.
• 5:46
  Speaker 1: Many people then put their coats down on the road.
• 5:51
  Speaker 1: Other people cut branches, like palm trees, you know the
• 5:55
  Speaker 1: branches of it. down from trees in the fields, they
• 5:59
  Speaker 1: put the branches down on the road as well. See,
• 6:07
  Speaker 1: these people that saw the disciples take the donkey away,
• 6:11
  Speaker 1: you know, and we can go back, right?
• 6:15
  Speaker 2: We can go back.
• 6:20
  Speaker 1: Someone may ask you, right? Why are you doing this?
• 6:28
  Speaker 1: Then say exactly what Jesus wanted them to say. The
• 6:32
  Speaker 1: master needs the donkey. He will send it back here soon.

  Speaker 1: He didn't want the donkey. He needed the donkey. To
• 6:43
  Speaker 1: be able to show that he can be humbled. He
• 6:46
  Speaker 1: could have arrived on any kind of fancy horse.
• 6:52
  Speaker 2: Or something even sent from heaven.
• 6:55
  Speaker 1: But he did it. humbly on a donkey. Let that
• 7:00
  Speaker 1: sink in. It's not all about the glamour. It's about
• 7:05
  Speaker 1: your calling. It's about your purpose. It's about your morals.
• 7:09
  Speaker 1: It's about your identity. Jesus knew who he was. Many
• 7:17
  Speaker 1: did not like him because he was sure of who
• 7:22
  Speaker 1: he was. Not everybody's going to believe And your purpose.
• 7:29
  Speaker 1: Stick with the plan. And when you fall. And you backslide.
• 7:36
  Speaker 1: Because we all have.
• 7:40
  Speaker 2: Repent.
• 7:42
  Speaker 1: Talk to Jesus about your shortcomings.
• 7:46
  Speaker 2: Talk to Jesus. As if he's right. There. Next to you.

  Speaker 2: Just some highly. Encouraging suggestions.

  Speaker 1: Verse 9, Mark chapter 11 states, Many went in front
• 8:07
  Speaker 1: of Jesus and other people followed him. All of them
• 8:10
  Speaker 1: were shouting, We praise God. May the Lord God bless
• 8:15
  Speaker 1: the king who comes with his authority. Great will be
• 8:23
  Speaker 1: the kingdom of Of King David. Our ancestor.
• 8:28
  Speaker 2: We praise God above.
• 8:32
  Speaker 1: So these people already knew.
• 8:34
  Speaker 2: From David.
• 8:35
  Speaker 1: That this Messiah was coming. The real one was coming.
• 8:44
  Speaker 1: We praise God. By honoring his son. By allowing the
• 8:51
  Speaker 1: Holy Spirit.
• 8:52
  Speaker 2: To really. ring in our lives and there's.

  Speaker 1: No perfect way of doing this i want to check

  Speaker 1: time because i don't want to clip out i got

  Speaker 1: nine minutes good because we're going to get to at

  Speaker 1: least verse 15 but i want to break some of

  Speaker 1: these down is also throw in some some preaching in

  Speaker 1: here as well not just teaching so we got the

  Speaker 1: donkey right and they're putting leaves they're They're making the

  Speaker 1: way for Jesus to come into Jerusalem. Many people went

  Speaker 1: in front of Jesus and other people followed him. Followed him.

  Speaker 1: All of them were shouting, we praise God. May the
• 9:43
  Speaker 1: Lord God.

  Speaker 2: Right? We already said this. We're in verse 11. My apologies.

  Speaker 1: Jesus went into Jerusalem and he went to the temple.
• 9:53
  Speaker 1: He looked at everything. It was late in the day.
• 9:58
  Speaker 1: So he went out. of the city to Bethlehem Bethany

  Speaker 1: the 12 apostles went with him let's continue real quick

  Speaker 1: Jesus curses a fig tree that has no fruit on
• 10:15
  Speaker 1: the next day they left Bethany Jesus was hungry He
• 10:19
  Speaker 1: saw a fig tree, which was a long way away.
• 10:24
  Speaker 2: There were leaves on it.
• 10:27
  Speaker 1: So he went to see if it had fruit on it.

  Speaker 1: When he reached it, he found nothing except leaves. That
• 10:34
  Speaker 1: was because it was not the right season for it
• 10:37
  Speaker 1: to have fruit. Verse 14, Mark chapter 11 states, So
• 10:41
  Speaker 1: Jesus said to the tree, Nobody will ever eat your
• 10:45
  Speaker 1: fruit again. And his disciples heard what he said. Jesus
• 10:49
  Speaker 1: chases traitors out of the temple. This is verse 15
• 10:52
  Speaker 1: in Mark chapter 11. When they arrived back in Jerusalem,
• 10:57
  Speaker 1: Jesus went into the yard of the temple. People were
• 11:00
  Speaker 1: buying and selling these things there. Jesus began to make
• 11:03
  Speaker 1: them all leave that place. Some men were changing coins
• 11:08
  Speaker 1: for their people. He pushed over their tables and he was...
• 11:14
  Speaker 1: He pushed over the seats of the men who sold birds.
• 11:19
  Speaker 2: Oh my goodness.
• 11:19
  Speaker 1: Everybody thinks Jesus is all peace and sweet. I got
• 11:23
  Speaker 1: these last three minutes to kind of go over 1
• 11:28
  Speaker 1: through 15 in a brief summary. Just listen to Jesus.
• 11:36
  Speaker 1: And how do you listen to Jesus? By getting into prayer.
• 11:42
  Speaker 1: And not always just talking. Before you say amen. Give
• 11:47
  Speaker 1: some time. Three to five minutes. To kind of let things.
• 11:53
  Speaker 2: Be brought to you. From heaven above. We're bringing heaven
• 11:58
  Speaker 2: here on earth people.

  Speaker 1: We have that ability. When we are connected to Jesus Christ.
• 12:08
  Speaker 1: Having that Holy Spirit. It's a necessity to avoid all
• 12:16
  Speaker 1: these spiritual attacks as a believer and a follower of
• 12:21
  Speaker 1: Jesus Christ. Now we're talking real believers. We're talking real
• 12:28
  Speaker 1: followers now. Not these lukewarm and I've been a lukewarm
• 12:31
  Speaker 1: so I know. I've been around warlocks. I've been around evil.
• 12:37
  Speaker 1: I've drank. I've done drugs. I've lived for this world
• 12:40
  Speaker 1: so I know.
• 12:44
  Speaker 2: I know.
• 12:46
  Speaker 1: And I kind of lost my train of thought there
• 12:48
  Speaker 1: a little bit. I want to also leave these last
• 12:51
  Speaker 1: two minutes for anybody that's suffering. You're not even surviving.
• 12:59
  Speaker 2: You're suffering.

  Speaker 1: I pray that you allow the Holy Spirit to come
• 13:04
  Speaker 1: in and give you a joy and to give you a.
• 13:10
  Speaker 2: Sense of Of comfort over your senses.
• 13:15
  Speaker 1: Doesn't mean that the problem is going to be taken away.
• 13:18
  Speaker 1: This is not a genie in a bottle kind of thing.
• 13:20
  Speaker 1: It's allowing the spirit to come in.
• 13:27
  Speaker 2: And do.
• 13:28
  Speaker 1: What you cannot do anymore. You can't keep doing it
• 13:32
  Speaker 1: on your own. You can't keep trying to do it
• 13:34
  Speaker 1: your way. Look how far it has gotten you. It's
• 13:41
  Speaker 1: almost like that saying, right? It doesn't matter the steps,
• 13:49
  Speaker 1: but you take five steps forward and ten steps back.
• 13:55
  Speaker 1: We all fall short of God's standards. We cannot be perfect.
• 13:59
  Speaker 1: We are not angels.
• 14:01
  Speaker 2: Okay?
• 14:02
  Speaker 1: You know, we're a spitting image of God. He's given
• 14:04
  Speaker 1: us that will to choose if we want to become
• 14:07
  Speaker 1: angels or if we want to become demons. And even
• 14:12
  Speaker 1: though you could sell your soul for riches in gold.
• 14:17
  Speaker 1: But the aftermath of that, disconnecting from God and being
• 14:21
  Speaker 1: closer to the demons and closer to this world. The
• 14:27
  Speaker 1: end result.
• 14:30
  Speaker 2: I just don't want to find out. I want to
• 14:33
  Speaker 2: be sure.
• 14:34
  Speaker 1: So I stay connected with Jesus as I continue to
• 14:37
  Speaker 1: follow him from a believer to a follower.
• 14:39
  Speaker 2: Big difference.
• 14:41
  Speaker 1: And there's no turning back for me. Because I've already
• 14:44
  Speaker 1: tried to live the other way.
• 14:46
