- 1:02it's a song? Oh, she ready? It's probably one of the housewives.
- 1:07She ready? She ready? Now I don't watch that. I don't
- 1:14either, Yo, yo yo. It's your girl, Jessica and Smith and
- 1:18welcome back to just As, the podcast where we create a safe space for
- 1:25Kingdom entrepreneurs and creatives, have fun, decompressed and guess what just ask y'all,
- 1:34y'all, it's been a week, a whole one. It's been a
- 1:41whole Can you say whole week? Oh no, no, no, no,
- 1:47no, no, man, But this week was weekend. It was
- 1:51child? What made the week week? Child? Listen. Your girl just
- 1:59got done not too long ago with the forty days for days of Focus,
- 2:07days of Focus. So if you didn't, if you didn't get to participate,
- 2:10it's because you didn't sign up under Jessica S. Smith dot com for
- 2:15its last focus. That was the that was the that it was. It
- 2:21was so what led you into forty days of focus? Forty days of focus?
- 2:25The Lord? Holy Spirit? Everything's Holy Spirit lit in my book.
- 2:30Stuff that just don't make sense. And it's so it seemed like it's so
- 2:34random, y'all's it seems so random. But I'm glad I did it.
- 2:38I learned a lot about myself, right, I learned about a lot about
- 2:43the Lord, and I learned a lot about my purpose beyond just making myself
- 2:49a one thing. Like I was having a conversation with one of my friends
- 2:53actually breathe today, and she kept bringing up the scripture too much to whom
- 2:58much is given, much is required, And I was like, God,
- 3:00you have me doing multiple things. I work full time, I'm studying,
- 3:07I am in ministry. I serve two I served multiple ministries, two of
- 3:13which are in these amazing projects right now that I am a part of,
- 3:16Like so it's a lot going on, and so I'm like, God,
- 3:22how can I be great or excellent in these places? And my aunt reminded
- 3:28me this morning that there's a difference between being excellent and walking and perfectionism,
- 3:35and so I'm not perfect, but God is, and so I'm called to
- 3:38be excellent, not perfect. And so I'm gonna tell y'all what I'm laughing
- 3:46at a minute because we got a special guest today, real special. I'm
- 3:51gonna see if she cooperate. But yeah, so this week was been weakened
- 3:58because it was like toward the latter time of the challenge. So we the
- 4:04last ten days was included with the fans. The first thirty days we just
- 4:09we prayed Monday through Friday at four thirty in the morning, and we had
- 4:14focused group, which included ninety minutes of focus. So we focused on projects,
- 4:20creating, content, reading, whatever. I even talked on creativity and
- 4:27how everybody has a creative gene, everybody has a creative flow, you just
- 4:30have to tap into it, which they enjoyed built the community. I'm gonna
- 4:35go ahead and shout out missus Jannis, shout out to c J, shout
- 4:40out to T the niece, Shout out to Catherine, shout out to Stacy,
- 4:46Mama, Ann, Coach d Britney Parks, Tanya like, these were
- 4:56the people that were consistently involved in in this community, and they were they
- 5:02were loud and proud about being involved. Baby, they were. They would
- 5:06let me know this was working for them. And so we'll do this again
- 5:10at some point, I know. I don't know if it's gonna be like
- 5:13looking like forty days, but it's gonna be centered around focused because it sometimes
- 5:16we mismanage our time, which mismanages our focus. And so I think what
- 5:23we were able to do was not only focused on on the spiritual, but
- 5:28the practical. And that's what I that's what I'm learning. My purpose is
- 5:31making what we wrap up in the spirit practical. How do we make that
- 5:35thing play? I think it's so dope because we don't know why God does
- 5:46what he does. But the reality is he knows the beginning from the end.
- 5:49So these things like when the testings come, the trials come, when
- 5:54He gives us things to do that don't make sense, we have to be
- 5:59obedient because cause the obedience birthed out what's in there, right, So you're
- 6:03you're like, oh, yeah, well, you may not have known something
- 6:08was in there until you have been tested in that thing. That's good.
- 6:12I was talking to one of my leader earlier this week, and that's what
- 6:15he was saying. He was like, I didn't know that I had a
- 6:17magazine in me until I started, you know, producing pictures or whatever.
- 6:24The little task that seems minimum was. I didn't know this big thing was
- 6:30in me until I started being obedient and moving in these other things. Yeah,
- 6:32and the little things may not be the big thing, but the little
- 6:35things build the character that's going to be able to sustain when you get to
- 6:40the point that God's trying to get you to. All these things are just
- 6:42building. It's building our character, it's building these skills, it's building the
- 6:46confidence, not necessarily in ourselves per se, but like, dang, God,
- 6:49like you've brought me this far and you've given me all these things,
- 6:53and we just have to trust that as we continue to walk and as he
- 6:57continues to add on to our plates, that he we just have to ask
- 7:00him for the capacity to manage it all, because he wouldn't give it to
- 7:02us if it wasn't in us already, Right, that was I think that
- 7:06was perfectly said. Like the thing, the biggest thing that you said,
- 7:13and here we go. Yeah, the biggest thing that you said, Woman
- 7:16of God, is that it's already in you. It just has to be
- 7:21activated. And so one of the things, like like I said, shout
- 7:28out to CJ, she revealed to me that, you know, that thing
- 7:33she was horboring or not horboring, but holding stuff like her book, launching
- 7:40all that good stuff. But this group made her or encouraged her to push
- 7:46forward and focus on what God had already ordained her to do. She knew
- 7:50it was in her, but sometimes you need that community to push That goes
- 7:57back to what we talked about weeks ago. I think that was probably one
- 7:59of the first episodes of season three where we were talking about what's the purpose
- 8:03of the coach. The purpose of the coach is to be a support system
- 8:09and accountability system for us to go. We sometimes we don't go unless others
- 8:18are involved, and that's what we are supposed to do. We're supposed to
- 8:20say it's iron shoppings iron people think it's just that's just a two way thing.
- 8:24Now, sometimes we just need a whole group. Hey, this is
- 8:26what this group is doing. All right, this is what this is what
- 8:30we're doing. And the gag is the woman the God told me. She
- 8:33was like, yeah, you're gonna end up doing this again, but it's
- 8:35not gonna be free because we learned too much. This was too valuable.
- 8:41Like these are like I was so I was proud of myself, but I
- 8:43was so proud of the community, like these are people we were we especially
- 8:48the last ten days, we were consistently waking up at four thirty in the
- 8:52morning, getting in, praying, getting the word of the Lord, and
- 8:54focusing on the word of the Lord, to the point where the last day,
- 9:00the fortieth day, like your girl was crying. YouTube, you can
- 9:03watch it is public, like you can go back and watch. Uh,
- 9:07you can go on YouTube and watch every every day if you see to the
- 9:11days that were skipping. Those were the first thirty days because we only were
- 9:15on the weekends. We rested and we scheduled and we playing and stuff like
- 9:18that. But those last ten days were fasting and so we went we prayed
- 9:22every day ten days straight, which was like that was a whole challenge for
- 9:26me, cause you know, your girl like I, where where is my
- 9:30sleep. Where is the where is the sleep schedule? Excuse me, ma'am,
- 9:39excuse me, ma'am. Can you come here? Can you come here?
- 9:41She's smelling my kneecap. Come here. I want to introduce y'all.
- 9:46If y'all can see the see I got it. Now. Can you say?
- 9:50Hey, this is this is my dog? Y'all? Ooh, you
- 9:54licking my makeup? Y'all actually would make up today? This is my baby?
- 9:58Say hey, More? She really look she looked at the camp the
- 10:03mike. Thank you, she said, I'd have made my debut. Yeah,
- 10:07that's my baby. A More is five. She's a pit mixed and
- 10:11I've had her since she's a baby. So yeah, she she can't.
- 10:18It's mummy mummy day. Come to work with mommy, and she is.
- 10:24Okay, you're gonna have to get down. Woman of God. Hey,
- 10:28hey, woman of God, don't be ghetto woman God. Look, look
- 10:35I talked to a More like she is? She a real person? That's
- 10:37what they tell me. My folks were like, a More is not a
- 10:41dog. A More is not a dog. But speaking of a More,
- 10:46let me tell you. Okay, So the fun fact, girl, if
- 10:50you don't sit down. Fun fact so a more. I got a more
- 10:56while I was living in Pencil Colum. All right, and you're girl,
- 11:00you know first of all Florida, Florida, Floridians Florida would here we go,
- 11:05here we go. I ain't doing something right here every don't y'all realize
- 11:09that every episode we just need to go back every episode clip one to just
- 11:15a Michae adjustment, clip to Michae adjustment because I don't get it right.
- 11:18I don't. I don't get it right. We learned because I missed up
- 11:24the mind. But anyway, so I got a more as an emotional support
- 11:30dog. And when I was in Pensacola, so you know your girls single,
- 11:35right, and so not only was our single Pintacola, I didn't know
- 11:37that one person, not one soul. Okay, moving to Pensacola. That
- 11:43was probably a heart the most challenging part of well let Me Live Me that
- 11:48lie, that was probably a lie. That was one of the most I
- 11:52don't think it was most challenging. I think this year, what I experienced
- 11:54this year might have been a little bit more challenging. Okay, but I
- 12:00got a more And at first I didn't even want a dog like did not
- 12:05want a dog, and all of a sudden, my cousin shout out to
- 12:13sherman his dog end up having babies, and so he was just pubbing these
- 12:20dogs, pubbing these dogs. And one day I was at my sister's house
- 12:22and he ended up bringing three of the dogs. I think it was two
- 12:26or three of the dogs with him, or more end up having being one
- 12:31of them. So he had asked me to hold of More because he had
- 12:35just given her a them a bath. He asked me to hold her,
- 12:41and me holding her led to me keeping her like I literally she got her
- 12:50name. People think it's because she got a heart on head. I didn't
- 12:52see that before folks start saying it. It's not really, I don't know.
- 12:54It's just a white spot. It was. It's just a white But
- 13:00no, a More got her name because when she started on my lap and
- 13:05then she started stretching out on like her paws, her hind legs. That
- 13:09with this the back leg, the back paws, hind legs well on my
- 13:16on my lap and then her front front. I'm sure there's a proper whatever,
- 13:26it's a proper name. I don't know what we're talking about up front,
- 13:28paws were on my chest, so it was I was like, baby,
- 13:31are you trying to get up? And she I just let her stretch
- 13:37out like that. But then I let her lift up and then she wraps
- 13:39herself around my heart like she literally wraps herself around my heart. And that's
- 13:46when I was sold. I was like, I could not stop thinking about
- 13:50her, and so I told my cousin the next day, I said,
- 13:52hey, don't you sell that dog. That's she's my dog and her name
- 13:56is a Moore. That's how Moore got her name. Girl, I didn't
- 14:00all you to get up. Though. She is definitely a community dog.
- 14:05She is not sometimes she acts like she's not my dog. She loves everyone
- 14:09and everyone loves her. So that's fun fact. Fun fact about the dog.
- 14:13Because what what I've learned of having a more is that I am going
- 14:20to be a good mother. I oh, I didn't know I was going
- 14:22there today. Okay, we are no single, Okay, I mean you
- 14:30can't back y'all been having me talking, y'all been having all your business were
- 14:39okay, so my I don't even know if I've ever heard you say that
- 14:43before. I haven't, Okay, not out loud, Okay, we are
- 14:48here. Not So what do I mean by that? I my parents divorced
- 14:58when I will seven. I think that they separated when I was seven,
- 15:05So I was in first Let's just go with grade because I remember grades better
- 15:07than the age I was the first grade when they separated. The divorce was
- 15:13final in second grade? Right, and so my my the lipstick was trying
- 15:22to live. What was that? Okay, see this is why I don't
- 15:31well make up. I ain't My lips ain't never got stuck together. Okay,
- 15:37all right, this is it. All right, there we are.
- 15:41But AnyWho, So my mom had, you know, going through the divorce.
- 15:48I lived with my mom for a little bit, but that was kind
- 15:50of short lived. My dad and the gaining custody of us me and us
- 15:56is my sister and I. So kendall untough y'all saw her and sister sister
- 16:02episode, go back and watch that, because that was not y'all saw her
- 16:07and I look alike because we got the same parents, like same mom and
- 16:12daddy. Like out of all of our siblings, we the ones got the
- 16:15same like mummy and daddy. Okay, so my dad was awarded custody of
- 16:23and I hate how that sounds. That sounds so bad, but that's what
- 16:29happened. He was awarded custody of Kindle and I and so we lived with
- 16:36my dad. We we lived with uh the good doctor Rivern. He ain't
- 16:42no doctor Wick, Reverend Kenneth W. Smith. And my dad is a
- 16:48great father, great father. He did, he did as good as he
- 16:55could, you know, as oh well as he is. Whichever one.
- 16:59Don't career me, don't correct, don't if you don't have no popceats,
- 17:02don't come up here care me well even if you do, still don't come
- 17:06up with anything. Nobody. So, yeah, my dad, but he's
- 17:15my dad. Trying to play two roles, right. So for a long
- 17:19time, like I didn't really experience a woman in the house until my sister's
- 17:26mom, that's Kirsten's mom came in the house and that was short lived.
- 17:30They ended up getting divorced. And yeah, that dad, that didn't work
- 17:36out. Uh, so I didn't really I had mother figures right around,
- 17:41but my mom was out of state, like she was mostly you know,
- 17:45living in different states during my adolescent years, to the point where when my
- 17:51dad did get remarried to my bonus mother, I was out the house.
- 17:55So I questioned my ability to be a good mom based upon what I didn't
- 18:00see, and so I didn't think I didn't. I was so concerned and
- 18:07then this this is gonna be real. So when I was living out,
- 18:11you know, I mean, when I was in that relationship with persone that
- 18:17I was talking about made me a few episodes ago, Now I wanted to
- 18:22get pregnant. I was, yeah, like I'm I wanted to get pregnant
- 18:29and I didn't get pregnant or whatever. It's like I was scared too,
- 18:36but I was like, I felt like I had something to prove, not
- 18:37not necessarily even about just motherhood, but but just I guess in that relationship
- 18:45because I felt like he would want me if I had, you know,
- 18:49the child or what desired me the way I wanted him to desire me if
- 18:53I had a child. But thank you Lord, your grace, Sam.
- 19:00See that's that similar to that story. What's the story the sisters that was
- 19:07married to the same guy and then one of them was uhh, I think
- 19:14one who was that you you're not talking about Rachel and Panana who she thought
- 19:18like if she had the babies that he would he would Oh, no,
- 19:25that that was I feel like it was two sisters, like they was both
- 19:30kind of with the same guy. Yeah, and one of them he delighted
- 19:33in. You know, that was his Like it was a yeah because he
- 19:37that's the the daddy tricked him. The daddy tricked. And we're talking about
- 19:41the Bible, y'all. This Bible is the whole, that's what came.
- 19:45That's what we got to figure out the name of it. Yeah, I
- 19:48know, I know what you're talking about. But that's what she felt like,
- 19:51Oh if I could, you know, give him a baby. Yeah,
- 19:55and she had multiple and then the love me like he loved her,
- 20:00yes, yes, but then when she gave her last child. Juice,
- 20:03it is juicy, like it's got a full it's full of drama. It
- 20:07is a real life like if you really, you really want to you know,
- 20:11some drama, you ain't got even go to zing them. Just go
- 20:12to the Bible, like the Old Testament, the Old Testament. Listen,
- 20:18like the whole story about Noah when they got off their boat and he got
- 20:22lit, and his son went and told the other sons about him being lit,
- 20:27and then he cursed him for that because his other son has covered him.
- 20:32Yeah, like that's a whole moment, like he was drinking off the
- 20:36clock. He was like he was straight lid. He said, we're celebrating.
- 20:41We've been on this boat for a long time. Completely assignment, you
- 20:47know, turn up like gag the gag anyway, So as far as like
- 20:56me feeling like like I'm more teaching me that I'll be a good mom,
- 21:00like being able to provide structure, being able to not only nurture her but
- 21:08train her in a sense, because everybody has the same comments when they come
- 21:12up into a more like a more one my mom over my mom did not
- 21:18fool with dogs, but this is about the only dogs she'll fool and that's
- 21:22that's probably her best friend. She looked she would call it. Actually make
- 21:25sure I fed more Like that's sweet, But you know what, I was
- 21:30just thinking, like we don't know as we were talking about this being obedient,
- 21:37if you really look back over your life, like if I've been in
- 21:40this kind of like reflective kind of state of like the different things I've done,
- 21:44and I could literally see God's hand and everything and all of our journeys
- 21:48are different. And because he knows the beginning from the end, he knows
- 21:52exactly what you need, right, and so I too, you know,
- 21:56I had I got Bebo last year, and I truly believe that was a
- 22:03part of that, like me being able to one just care for somebody else
- 22:07aside myself, yease, you know, had been been staying by myself for
- 22:10a while, but to to put me in a space where I'm caring for
- 22:15somebody that's you know, that's not myself, even me staying with my friend
- 22:19and her girls, Like, I absolutely love being in that space because one
- 22:25I get to be the fun, fake hunty and just have all the conversations
- 22:27that the mama don't want to have, right. But like they'll run up
- 22:30to me, they be like, oh, can I get a hug?
- 22:33And I'm not And I hadn't been the most and I and I realized it.
- 22:36Not that I'm not affectionate, because I just show my fection in different
- 22:38ways. I'm not that touchy philly type person right now. But I'm like,
- 22:41can I get a hug? And I'm like, yes, absolutely,
- 22:42So I'm hugging on them and were spinning around in the kitchen and I'm getting
- 22:45to experience these things that if I wouldn't have been obedient and just doing what
- 22:52I felt the Lord was telling me to do. I wouldn't have had that
- 22:53experience because it's a part of it's all of a part of the journey.
- 22:56Yeah, you know what I'm saying. And I had to also like self
- 23:03examine, like I think it's it's natural. It's natural to think every woman
- 23:10wants a baby because her bab her cause her her body is naturally designed to
- 23:15to do so. Right, So if she doesn't or if she doesn't have
- 23:18her own, does that make her less of a woman. That's so good?
- 23:23Right? So, as I've had some complications and some some some things
- 23:26through the uh, through the years, you know at thirty seven, not
- 23:32saying that's a that's a it's over, it's not over. But I'm those
- 23:34are just conversations that I just have with myself, Like if that's not my
- 23:37story, how would I feel about myself? Do I feel like I'm less
- 23:41of this and less of that? But also and I also had to ask
- 23:45myself, why do I want to have a baby? M And I think
- 23:48some of that I can be honest and say some of it was because I
- 23:52wanted to do or or be what I wasn't what I didn't have growing up,
- 24:00you know, as a as a a mom, like my mom,
- 24:03she's amazing. She did the best that she could, but she was not
- 24:04that nurturing person. So it's like, Okay, I want to have a
- 24:08little mean to me so I can nurture on them a little bit, you
- 24:11know what I'm saying. But you know, just really just going to God
- 24:14and just asking, okay, Lord, because I believe there's a purpose for
- 24:17everything, you know, and so I'm so with you and more is definitely
- 24:22destined, destined for she's laying down, I'm talking about you. I mean,
- 24:26she just she didn't got comfortable, y'all. Instantly destined for Jessica.
- 24:30She is. And that's why I can't. I don't. I don't.
- 24:33I know. Eventually, you know, things happen and I'm not even gonna
- 24:38speak about it at this moment because I am not envisioning myself without my baby
- 24:45girl. However, I didn't know, like people would say all the time,
- 24:52like, oh, you do they the baby's cast and they do,
- 24:56yeah, they you know, they cost money and stuff like that. And
- 25:00I always, you know, when I'm traveling, I have to consider like
- 25:03that's why she's here with me today because she didn't have no sibling. Yeah,
- 25:07like she mama, Mama wasn't available to watch a more. So she
- 25:11had to come to work with me, which I trained her well enough to
- 25:17act right. So so when people you know, I don't know. That's
- 25:22made me confident because I'm a more, A more really understand what I've been
- 25:26saying. Like she she got to coming and the sense okay, But also
- 25:33what a more brought me was reassurance that love works. It does, like
- 25:44love really works. Because even so in the state of mind that I was
- 25:52in in Pensacola, like I was, that's when I learned I fought the
- 25:56battle with depression. I battled with the press even before Pensacola didn't have a
- 26:02word for it. That's why like no, no, no, no,
- 26:03like I didn't. I didn't even know that taking pills for depression was a
- 26:07thing until Pensacola. My Pensacola career, okay, that was a that was
- 26:15not an experience. It was a career. It was a job. It
- 26:17was I worked Pensacola. They have this running joke that I hated Pensacola while
- 26:25I was living there. But I'll run down there and go to Pensacola like
- 26:27it is. It is nothing. I do have some people that I really
- 26:32truly loved from Pensacola, some of them not are not there anymore. But
- 26:37just I call it my Pencil Cola plan because I I really I learned how
- 26:45to initiate and cultivate relationships. And it was real awkward, Like I was
- 26:52just like, this is so awkward. I don't I spent a lot of
- 26:56alone time in Pensacola. But just like a Moore's embodiment, and like they
- 27:03tell you that dogs are a reflection of you the owner. That's why,
- 27:07Okay, pitt pee, let's let's let's rent for two seconds. Pit bulls.
- 27:14They are so so so frowned upon. It's sad. It made me
- 27:21sad to it hurts. It breaks my heart. It absolutely breaks my heart
- 27:25because they are some of the sweetest breeds, the sweetest breeds that you will
- 27:30ever ever, ever ever meet. But everybody you go to, oh I
- 27:37was, oh, I was gonna say a brand. Oh don't do that,
- 27:38Joska, don't say the brand, because they listen. You go to
- 27:45these pet stores that have these services to clean your dogs and do certain things,
- 27:55your dogs, but they want to up child charge you based on the
- 27:57breed of the dog versus the behavior. Girl, I never said it like
- 28:04that, but they they want to upcharge you because of the just for the
- 28:08simple breed of the dog versus the behavior. And I was like, I
- 28:14told them they weren't getting my money. They was not getting my money.
- 28:18Why because that was not fair. That's very to me. That's prejudice.
- 28:22That might be the right word. Maybe the right word, But like,
- 28:26I didn't see I didn't see appointing it. I didn't. I didn't see
- 28:30appointing it. So like pit bulls are really the sweetest, the sweetest little
- 28:36beings. I went to when I went to inquire about an apartment. She
- 28:42you know, I said before because I did on the website she called.
- 28:45She's like, oh, I just want to get get a little information from
- 28:48you. And I said, well, before we go there, I saw
- 28:49on your website y'all had some breede restrictions. She's like, yeah, what
- 28:53kind of what kind of animal do you have? I said, he's a
- 28:56dog, and she was like, okay, what is his breed? I
- 28:59said, he's a beeboe because he's a bebo that's he. That's what it
- 29:03is. His name is Bebo and that's what he is. He's a bebo.
- 29:07He like he don't even fit in this aggressive like you know, I
- 29:11know that's where That's where she was going, like, oh is he this
- 29:15da da da? And I was really thinking, I was like, dang.
- 29:18It's just like people like to put you in the category you know,
- 29:22or of either something you've done in the past or something that's been associated with
- 29:26who you are your past or a group of people. It is like they
- 29:29count you out because of what they heard, wow, not of what they
- 29:34not what they know by their experience or with what they heard. Yeah,
- 29:38because you never really experienced, like it's one thing. It's one thing to
- 29:42experience experience something for yourself and be traumatized. That that's your own trauma.
- 29:48Go get go, get your hearing. Like I can say I hate dogs
- 29:52or rock wilders because because my neighbor's dog tried to they like she tried to
- 30:00and she was a rock wiler, but she was a mother too. Like
- 30:03the thing is like God put that same like mother instinct into dolls or protection
- 30:08instinct into to animals as they did us, And so thank you Holy Spirit.
- 30:15It's almost like we don't respect, we don't respect the creation or the
- 30:22DNA that God has put in all his creation, and so because oh well,
- 30:26we're just gonna say this is the standard and this is just the way
- 30:29it is. No, that's not good enough. That's not good enough.
- 30:32My pinkitoa got bit by chihuahua. It got bit by a chihuahua. They
- 30:40not making chihuahuas pay extra money. They'rected. And yes, if you got
- 30:45a chihuahua, I got issues with you. If you got a chihuahua and
- 30:51it's not the taco bell dog, I got strong issues with you because I
- 30:56have not met a chihuahua yet. I didn't give multiple all our wives chances.
- 31:00And they are the most dogs ever, ever, ever. But my
- 31:08baby here, like right now, right now, she's at peace. I
- 31:12wish I could see you. I wish I could. She's just laying down
- 31:17being a good dog, just being an obedient dog. Okay, and she's
- 31:22now getting up about she knows I'm talking about her. But I think being
- 31:32a dog parent, I think this is where this conversation is like really going,
- 31:34which is good. You don't think that some of your more, Come
- 31:37sit down. You don't think some of your decisions, well your decision,
- 31:44but just getting a dog, you think it's a companion. You think it's
- 31:48about being cute and all this stuff like that. But no, God really
- 31:52ordained a more to be in my life for multiple reasons, just to support
- 31:57to teach me something that I've never said out loud that I had a fear
- 32:00of. Am I gonna be a good mother or not? You know,
- 32:06am I gonna be able to have this quote unquote intense schedule and still be
- 32:12able to balance motherhood? But because I've raised them more the way I've raised
- 32:17her, will give me sound like, come on, because I've raised the
- 32:21more the way I raised her, I can trust that she is gonna be
- 32:24consistently obedient in whatever atmosphere she's in. And so you have to you,
- 32:30I have to trust myself to where my character is good enough to where even
- 32:37I'm still learning stuff with them more like I'm still learning. I think that's
- 32:39the beautiful beautification about being a parent. Not a parent yet, but I
- 32:46think that's the beautification about being a parent, because yeah, you think you
- 32:52think that you know everything until you actually have that child. Child in front
- 32:57of you, Like I thought I was gonna be like this real strict mom
- 33:02and people still think I probably am, but low KEI. My sister has
- 33:06taught me how to be a better mother just watching her. She's so patient
- 33:10with them kids. She's like, Okay, what did you do? Why
- 33:15did you do this? Let's talk about it, and they just have conversations
- 33:19like they real deal. Now she will turn up because Kenny is in us,
- 33:22Okay, no doubt about it. However, I've never witnessed a parent
- 33:29have the level of conversation with their child as Kimdall has, you know,
- 33:37and so I think that before, you know, trying to get a real
- 33:40baby like I did back in the day. My God, thank you for
- 33:44your saving grace. God allowed me to experience being a dog parent and it
- 33:52really it really changed my life. That's dope, really changed my life.
- 33:59Good. Yeah, yeah, we're good. Yeah, y'ah. I know
- 34:04that was random. It was random. It was random. It's because the
- 34:07more so this is a more inspired episode, not too deep, but it
- 34:14brought up some stuff y'all talked to us back in the comments. Man,
- 34:16I'll be curious to know your experience about being a dog parent. Your experience
- 34:22if you will. If you are a pet parent, because we can't discriminate.
- 34:25You might have a frag a snail of a lizard, or a cat,
- 34:31a cat. You might be a cat parent. Might we might do
- 34:37cats. I am allergic. I ain't allergic cats. Listen. I'm for
- 34:45real, man, I found out the hard way I was allergic cat.
- 34:46Like I almost started stopped breathing. You know one thing that just brings it
- 34:52back, like, is I believe there's a lesson and everything. You know
- 35:00what I'm saying, Like, how how else will you know where you are
- 35:02unless you've been tested in that in that space. So you know, just
- 35:06in a season where I'm just trying to catch the lessons because I don't some
- 35:10of them listeners. I don't want to repeat. I don't repeat a couple
- 35:14of them, So child chill. That'll be a whole nother podcast talking about
- 35:16from what repeated listens. I don't want to repeat them listen. So I'm
- 35:20just grateful for the for being in certain spaces in this season where I'm just
- 35:24learning and I'm aware of what kind of what God is doing. You think
- 35:30you may know, but he'd be like, yeah, no, stacking mind
- 35:31making boodashine and it's something else, you know what I'm saying. But I
- 35:35just love I love this. Just just being in this aware space is good.
- 35:38Yeah, yeah, most definitely. And you you just have to notice
- 35:42that God's the best thing I could realize about the faith, and being in
- 35:46the faith in a relationship with God is God. God would literally use anything,
- 35:51anything, anything to expose the Kingdom and you, He will literally use
- 35:57anything to expose the Kingdom in you, right, And so thinking nights strange
- 36:05when you start having desire, was like, where did it come from?
- 36:07I didn't have, but I was thinking about I was thinking about, you
- 36:13know, a dog. But I was like, no, I attached the
- 36:15money, the money to it versus the value. Like I saw the costs
- 36:19versus the value, and I was like, I ain't doing it. But
- 36:21that was probably one of the best decisions I made with a more I had
- 36:25something to look forward to. I really did. And so if you're thinking
- 36:30about getting a dog, I'm an avid for it. I'm an avid for
- 36:34it having a dog, especially if you're single, A more get down woman
- 36:37of God, especially if you're single. But yeah, y'all, y'all chop
- 36:44it up. With us in the in the comments. Man, this one.
- 36:45This one was quick and I'm more inspired obviously because I was not planning
- 36:52on doing that right now. Not talking about her, but y'all let us
- 36:57know in the comments. Talk back to us, talk back to us about
- 37:00your experience being a dog parent. Maybe we can have a prayer in a
- 37:05dog park. Prayer in the dog park. But just ask the podcast all
- 37:12right, you guys, Well, we love you, y'all. Have an
- 37:15amazing, amazing week until next time. Life could be much more simple if
- 37:22you just ask. See you later. Hey, y'all, thank you for
- 37:29listening to just ask. If you enjoyed this experience, be sure to like
