- 0:00Speaker 1: I have the signs that you are the annoying mom
- 0:03Speaker 1: everyone at school is talking about.
- 0:05Speaker 2: Oh gosh, well I haven't really done anything yet, but
- 0:09Speaker 2: I could stop this now. If it's a problem, well
- 0:11Speaker 2: it's just good to nip it in the old butt,
- 0:14Speaker 2: as they say.
- 0:15Speaker 1: But these are the signs. And now it's one of
- 0:17Speaker 1: those deals where you know, if in your group you're
- 0:20Speaker 1: not sure who the mom is that everyone is annoyed of,
- 0:23Speaker 1: it's you. It's probably you. First up moms who schedule
- 0:27Speaker 1: playdates while they work from home, that's not me. Yeah,
- 0:31Speaker 1: mom's get annoy to this that if you're gonna have
- 0:33Speaker 1: the play date at your house, don't be locked in
- 0:35Speaker 1: an office in meetings doing your thing while my child
- 0:39Speaker 1: is they're running around playing with knives.
- 0:41Speaker 2: You know, I love having kids over at our house
- 0:44Speaker 2: and having fun. But yeah, I'm definitely going to be
- 0:46Speaker 2: there in present, the old present mom. Yep, that's nice
- 0:49Speaker 2: complaining about playdates. If that's something you do, you're the
- 0:53Speaker 2: annoying mom everyone talks about. If your child, like, let's
- 0:55Speaker 2: say they go to a friend's house and eats fast food,
- 0:59Speaker 2: just you know, don't allow them back there on a plate.
- 1:01Speaker 2: It again, don't just keep gossiping about the behavior of
- 1:05Speaker 2: the family that you are continually sending your kid to
- 1:07Speaker 2: their house. Oh and I just don't like the judgment
- 1:10Speaker 2: of that in general of people. Oh well, your family
- 1:15Speaker 2: does this, or you do that, or my kids are
- 1:17Speaker 2: never going to do that.
- 1:19Speaker 1: Can't stand that? Yeah, to each their own, you do you?
- 1:23Speaker 1: I remember growing up it was such a high bar
- 1:24Speaker 1: to get past, like the approval process that my dad
- 1:28Speaker 1: needed a family to go through before I was able
- 1:30Speaker 1: to go over there and spend the night crazy. Yeah,
- 1:33Speaker 1: that's all really, But then again then some slipped by
- 1:36Speaker 1: because I sure, I sure was able to get over
- 1:39Speaker 1: to some places that hindsight, if I was the parent,
- 1:44Speaker 1: I probably wouldn't approved of it, gotcha. I remember, And
- 1:47Speaker 1: there was one house that we would go to all
- 1:49Speaker 1: the time, you know, it was one of the houses
- 1:50Speaker 1: like we were able to have a good time. And
- 1:52Speaker 1: I remember hearing and this was I think my mom
- 1:55Speaker 1: told me that my other parents they they were under
- 1:59Speaker 1: the impression I only went over there because they had
- 2:01Speaker 1: a pinball machine. And I met I've never laughed so
- 2:04Speaker 1: hard in my life because one they didn't have a
- 2:07Speaker 1: pinball machine. I mean, there was Oh no, they just
- 2:11Speaker 1: heard that is believed that.
- 2:13Speaker 2: Yeah, that was the idea they had, which is it's
- 2:15Speaker 2: funny and you grew up in a small town. I
- 2:17Speaker 2: feel like we never got away with any of that. Yes,
- 2:20Speaker 2: because a thousand people there.
- 2:21Speaker 1: My parents knew everybody.
- 2:24Speaker 2: And remember lands pants was a principle, so he already
- 2:27Speaker 2: kind of had the backstory.
- 2:29Speaker 1: I think on most yeah, he would know. Like he's like, oh,
- 2:32Speaker 1: we want to go to the house of the kid
- 2:34Speaker 1: that's in my office three times a week. I don't
- 2:37Speaker 1: know that, so, Honny. The other sign that you are
- 2:40Speaker 1: the annoying mom that the other parents are talking about
- 2:42Speaker 1: is well, you don't volunteer at events. Good thing I
- 2:46Speaker 1: joined that PTO. Yeah, you're already off to a grandle start.
- 2:50Speaker 1: In fact, you might be already be going too far
- 2:52Speaker 1: where they're going to be like, oh my god, her
- 2:54Speaker 1: kid just started kindergarten and she thinks she's going to
- 2:56Speaker 1: be on the PTO. No, this is where they get you.
- 2:58Speaker 2: They want you will your full and suck you in
- 3:01Speaker 2: and just be a little PTO workhorse.
- 3:04Speaker 1: Let's do let's do it. I think they'll find a
- 3:06Speaker 1: way to talk about it. Another sign you're the annoying
- 3:10Speaker 1: mom is you're using your phone at the playground. You
- 3:12Speaker 1: can't get off your phone, You're emailing. Oh, you can't
- 3:16Speaker 1: be present when your kids at the playground.
- 3:17Speaker 2: I'm either the big bad wolf or I'm on my
- 3:20Speaker 2: phone or just walking around.
- 3:23Speaker 1: So tell me more about you being the big bad wolf.
- 3:27Speaker 2: It's kind of a thing at our park. Sometimes it's Nicks,
- 3:30Speaker 2: sometimes it's another mom. The kids will go, you're the
- 3:34Speaker 2: big bad wolf, and then you got to run around
- 3:35Speaker 2: and chase him.
- 3:37Speaker 1: I'm glad, I asked, because why would you say that
- 3:39Speaker 1: without any context, because I.
- 3:40Speaker 2: Just everybody knows what the big bad wolf is, right,
- 3:45Speaker 2: I know, it's like a duck duck fairytale. Yeah, duck
- 3:49Speaker 2: duck gray dot. I'm familiar with the tail. But you
- 3:53Speaker 2: just to say that, like, ah, yeah, I'm usually the
- 3:55Speaker 2: big bad wolf. Anyway, what's next on the list? Oh
- 3:59Speaker 2: there's more to it.
- 4:00Speaker 1: Okay, Yeah, I'm the mom who's like, stay away from
- 4:03Speaker 1: my kids. No, I'm just kidding.
- 4:06Speaker 2: It might every once in a while if there's somebody
- 4:08Speaker 2: who's swearing or doing something.
- 4:09Speaker 1: Coff and you'll puff and you'll boil their house down.
- 4:14Speaker 1: So now that you're.
- 4:15Speaker 2: Saying now that you're describing how that sounded, I guess
- 4:21Speaker 2: for me and my brain, it.
- 4:22Speaker 1: Was just duh, that's what I know. I know what
- 4:24Speaker 1: you thought. Now, it is a big bad wolf. That's
- 4:27Speaker 1: not the one involved. Who ate who ate Red Riding
- 4:30Speaker 1: Hood's grandma? The portage? And way? What is the portage?
- 4:38Speaker 1: And the portage and way ate her grandma? Yeah? No, no,
- 4:43Speaker 1: that's he's also a wolf. I'm just saying, is that
- 4:45Speaker 1: the big bad Yeah, that's the big bad wolf. No,
- 4:47Speaker 1: but what about the three little pigs? Whose wolf is that?
- 4:51Speaker 1: Isn't that the same story? Three little pigs in Red
- 4:54Speaker 1: Riding Hood? Don't they all come together? Is there a
- 4:57Speaker 1: chance it's the same wolf. I can't say for sure.
- 5:01Speaker 1: Oh my gosh. I'm just saying, you got the wolf,
- 5:03Speaker 1: and you got the big bad wolf. Which is you?
- 5:06Speaker 2: Is the annoying mom, the one who doesn't remember any
- 5:09Speaker 2: nursery rhymes from her child?
- 5:10Speaker 1: So what are you reading your kids? Fifty shades of gray? Huh? No?
- 5:17Speaker 1: Hold together? And then finally, if you're the mom that's
- 5:19Speaker 1: gloating about your child, of course you're the one that
- 5:22Speaker 1: when you're at the volleyball match and you go to
- 5:24Speaker 1: get yourself some popcorn. Every other parent is going, which
- 5:27Speaker 1: she just shut up about. Little Denise dunnis Denise. Denise
- 5:33Speaker 1: hasn't made a serve over the net all day? Why
- 5:36Speaker 1: is she gloating?
- 5:37Speaker 2: I have moments of gloat, but I also have more
- 5:40Speaker 2: real than anything where you're trying to be a relatable
- 5:43Speaker 2: mom where hey, just so you know, it might always
- 5:46Speaker 2: seem like this, but I will tell you, you know,
- 5:49Speaker 2: some of the other issues we might be having behind
- 5:51Speaker 2: closed doors, because that's important that other parents feel the pain.
- 5:56Speaker 1: If that makes sense. I'm not gonna give a specific
- 5:59Speaker 1: like no, like what you sit on girls. You should
- 6:02Speaker 1: know Nick and I it's been it's been rough, and Yeahsin.
- 6:07Speaker 2: And I am just talking about your kids, you know,
- 6:09Speaker 2: whether it's bedtime and you.
- 6:12Speaker 1: Guys have these issues. I liked you better when you
- 6:15Speaker 1: were the big bad Wolf a minute in the morning,
- 6:17Speaker 1: Big Naty eight point seven. Oh what a debate. What
- 6:22Speaker 1: a debate last night, the first presidential debate and possibly
- 6:25Speaker 1: the last, because I don't know how we could top
- 6:26Speaker 1: that one. I mean, I think if you watched it,
- 6:28Speaker 1: I think it's I think it's pretty obvious which side one. Yeah,
- 6:32Speaker 1: everybody I saw was pretty dang sure their side was
- 6:36Speaker 1: the winner. Correct. Yes, if you think otherwise, you didn't
- 6:40Speaker 1: watch the same debate.
- 6:41Speaker 2: It is amazing to me because I have friends on
- 6:43Speaker 2: both sides of the aisle, and.
- 6:46Speaker 1: Very wow, what a welcoming, open person.
- 6:49Speaker 2: Very adamant on both sides, and honestly both very well
- 6:53Speaker 2: argument like well thought out arguments on social media.
- 6:56Speaker 1: I'm kind of like, hmm, so I just stand by
- 6:59Speaker 1: and watch it all unfold. I don't want to say
- 7:01Speaker 1: it's meaningless to watch these, but it's just so my
- 7:05Speaker 1: side's going to move the country forward. Theirs is going
- 7:08Speaker 1: to move it backward. We're gonna we're going to do
- 7:11Speaker 1: We're for middle class America, No we are. It's like, well,
- 7:15Speaker 1: it's just you know what I mean, there's not a
- 7:17Speaker 1: lot of like specifics, it's just a lot of it.
- 7:19Speaker 1: There was a lot of not answering the questions one
- 7:23Speaker 1: hundred percent on both sides. Yeah, that's exactly right. But
- 7:26Speaker 1: it was funny to see I was reading a BuzzFeed
- 7:28Speaker 1: as I was taking my nightly stroll through BuzzFeed, and
- 7:33Speaker 1: people were sharing like their radical positions that aren't necessarily
- 7:37Speaker 1: political but just otherwise Okay, So I'm going to run
- 7:39Speaker 1: through some of these and I see how you feel
- 7:41Speaker 1: about people's radical positions. Like Okay, this person says, every
- 7:45Speaker 1: single law, when written, is given an expiration date. If
- 7:49Speaker 1: not considered and renewed individually, it is deleted. What do
- 7:52Speaker 1: you think about having end dates on laws? I guess
- 7:55Speaker 1: it depends on the law. Yeah, I mean, if it's
- 8:00Speaker 1: good law, then it just stays right.
- 8:01Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean I guess to reconsider or reevaluate something.
- 8:05Speaker 1: I think that that's healthy in general. Absolutely, for sure.
- 8:08Speaker 1: Some people say that that's how marriages should be. Come
- 8:12Speaker 1: get you on a five year Oh stop it, your
- 8:14Speaker 1: four comes up, and we start with negotiation. Start like,
- 8:17Speaker 1: how do we think this is going? Is it worth renewing?
- 8:21Speaker 1: One person said stickers on fruits need to be permanently banned.
- 8:26Speaker 1: Your thoughts on stickers on fruit?
- 8:28Speaker 2: Gosh, I've never even thought about it. Why is there
- 8:30Speaker 2: a sticker on fruit? I mean, I know the banana
- 8:33Speaker 2: because I need to know if it's a chiquita or not.
- 8:35Speaker 1: But other than that, do you really need to know
- 8:38Speaker 1: if it's a chaquita or not? Aren't they all jaquitas?
- 8:41Speaker 1: I've never known. I don't know it is annoying. Like
- 8:44Speaker 1: if I have a good looking apple, but then I
- 8:45Speaker 1: peel the sticker off and there's that little scab wound
- 8:48Speaker 1: like kind of ruins it for me. I've never even
- 8:52Speaker 1: like this is never crossed. It's a weird thought. Have
- 8:55Speaker 1: you ever swallowed a sticker? Oh, I'm sure absolutely. I
- 8:59Speaker 1: think we all were probably half fruit stickers at this point.
- 9:02Speaker 1: Definitely my fingers for full of fruit stickers. I think
- 9:05Speaker 1: it could be a little frustrating when you're trying to
- 9:07Speaker 1: like flick it off your finger in the garbage or
- 9:08Speaker 1: something and it sticks.
- 9:10Speaker 2: If we want to talk about stickers, what needs to
- 9:12Speaker 2: go are the home good stickers, Like if you're buying something,
- 9:15Speaker 2: how hard those are to get off? And when somebody
- 9:18Speaker 2: decides the're gonna put it on a mirror and like
- 9:20Speaker 2: trying to get that glue off of there is maddening.
- 9:24Speaker 1: You feel like it could ruin it. Absolutely. How many
- 9:27Speaker 1: things have you added? Yeah, where it's just like you
- 9:28Speaker 1: got to get the hot water out and wash it
- 9:31Speaker 1: with soaked and.
- 9:31Speaker 2: You've tried like even like goo goo god or any
- 9:34Speaker 2: of this and it doesn't work.
- 9:35Speaker 1: It's just always a little smudge. Yeah, that should be lead.
- 9:37Speaker 2: Maybe it's just the adhesive on the stickers. We need
- 9:40Speaker 2: to start discussing exactly. Here's an interesting take. Somebody's extreme
- 9:45Speaker 2: view is that serving shrimp with the tail still on
- 9:49Speaker 2: when it's already mixed into something like pasta or rice
- 9:53Speaker 2: dish is insane. It drives me crazy.
- 9:56Speaker 1: That is an extreme view.
- 9:57Speaker 2: But I do like when because usually, like the big
- 10:00Speaker 2: prawn shrimp if you're getting if you're at a good
- 10:02Speaker 2: restaurant and you've got a big postable and you can
- 10:04Speaker 2: do shrimp alfredo or whatever it is.
- 10:07Speaker 1: I like that.
- 10:07Speaker 2: It's decorative, but it is super uncomfortable because it's not
- 10:10Speaker 2: a situation where you're gonna want to use your hands.
- 10:12Speaker 2: But yeah, I kind of have to well you kind
- 10:14Speaker 2: of have to exactly like you can kind of cut
- 10:16Speaker 2: around it, but I don't.
- 10:17Speaker 1: I want to get that real all the shrimp out
- 10:19Speaker 1: of there. Well, the shrimp tail does give it some credibility,
- 10:22Speaker 1: like actual, oh, this is fresh, this is a real thing.
- 10:25Speaker 1: This din' kind of a bag and a freezer. It
- 10:27Speaker 1: would be like getting.
- 10:28Speaker 2: Your lobster without the tail, and you're like, where did
- 10:32Speaker 2: this come from?
- 10:33Speaker 1: Those sort of canned lobster? But then you know me.
- 10:36Speaker 1: I'm a nutcase who eats the tail. So I don't
- 10:39Speaker 1: think it should be banned altogether because I like the
- 10:41Speaker 1: option of eating the tail only if it's like a
- 10:43Speaker 1: crispy shrimp, right. I will eat any kind of the
- 10:46Speaker 1: stuff you get like in the ring. Absolutely. Yeah, if
- 10:50Speaker 1: you not only will I eat my shrimp tails, I'll
- 10:52Speaker 1: eat yours too, whatever you leave behind. Yeah, it's one.
- 10:55Speaker 2: Have been friends for fifteen years and you're telling me
- 10:59Speaker 2: you eat even the shrip.
- 11:00Speaker 1: You never knew that. I knew you ate the like
- 11:02Speaker 1: the deep fried. You know, curs don't have to be deepride.
- 11:04Speaker 1: In fact, I think I might prefer it not deep fried. Yeah,
- 11:07Speaker 1: I'll just eat it. Does that go down digestively? I
- 11:10Speaker 1: feel like it's a oh, A good question out going
- 11:13Speaker 1: a dozen at this point, I'm half fruit stickers, half
- 11:16Speaker 1: shrimp tails. I did Amanda in the morning, did ninety
- 11:20Speaker 1: point seven, and now Amanda stills the seat.
- 11:23Speaker 2: Let's see, Well, we haven't heard this name in a while,
- 11:28Speaker 2: did he? He has been ordered to pay one hundred
- 11:30Speaker 2: million dollars in a sexual assault lawsuit. This Derek Lee
- 11:34Speaker 2: Cordello Smith, currently an inmate, claimed in a lawsuit that
- 11:38Speaker 2: did he drugged and sexually assaulted him at a party
- 11:40Speaker 2: in Detroit. This was back in nineteen ninety seven. Did
- 11:43Speaker 2: he is now expected to make the following payments. It
- 11:45Speaker 2: is ten million dollars a month and it all starts
- 11:48Speaker 2: on October first.
- 11:48Speaker 1: Now.
- 11:49Speaker 2: His attorney fired back immediately, saying, this man is a
- 11:52Speaker 2: convicted felon and a sexual predator who has been sentenced
- 11:54Speaker 2: on fourteen counts of sexual assaulting kidnapping.
- 11:57Speaker 1: Over the last twenty six years.
- 11:59Speaker 2: He there is his resume now includes committee fraud on
- 12:03Speaker 2: a court from prison, as mister Combs has never met him,
- 12:07Speaker 2: let alone been served with any lawsuit. Well, there had
- 12:12Speaker 2: to have been. If you're getting charged one hundred million dollars. Yeah, No,
- 12:15Speaker 2: he say he's been ordered to pay that, Like that's final.
- 12:18Speaker 2: Would that happen already where he's not just the guy's
- 12:20Speaker 2: asking for one hundred million. No, the judge ruled on this,
- 12:24Speaker 2: like the payments start on October first.
- 12:26Speaker 1: Oh my god, I know. Now very oddous came out
- 12:29Speaker 1: of nowhere? Did we miss this? Yeah, I've not paid
- 12:32Speaker 1: much attention, but that that's shocking in that guy, Like, yeah,
- 12:36Speaker 1: for his part, that's not the best character I've ever heard,
- 12:40Speaker 1: but it just still is not to say that it
- 12:41Speaker 1: didn't happen exactly right. If anything, it could have contributed
- 12:45Speaker 1: to the path this guy went down.
- 12:46Speaker 2: I know, just very disturbing all around. As soon as
- 12:50Speaker 2: I saw that, I thought, you know what, I think?
- 12:52Speaker 2: Was it a couple of weeks ago? I maybe saw
- 12:54Speaker 2: a headland and did he put his place up for sale,
- 12:56Speaker 2: one of his homes or something? So I'm feeling like
- 13:00Speaker 2: we're getting to a place where one of these days
- 13:02Speaker 2: we're going to wake up and did he'll be behind bars?
- 13:05Speaker 1: I know you would think, so, I don't know, we'll
- 13:07Speaker 1: see I don't know. Colin Goslin, You're probably like, who
- 13:10Speaker 1: is that? Well?
- 13:11Speaker 2: Remember John and Kate plus eight? Remember the infamous Kate
- 13:14Speaker 2: Goslin haircuts. That was like one of the best reality shows.
- 13:18Speaker 1: It was a it defined the two thousands, right, and
- 13:21Speaker 1: it was part of a Have you seen that show?
- 13:23Speaker 1: I think it's on Hulu. It's called like the Dark
- 13:25Speaker 1: Side of the two Thousands. They did one for the
- 13:27Speaker 1: nineties too, Yes, but yeah, there was a whole episode
- 13:30Speaker 1: about this show. It was super fascinating.
- 13:33Speaker 2: Well, Colin, who is the son of John and Kate
- 13:35Speaker 2: is now saying that Kate physically and verbally abused him
- 13:39Speaker 2: so much so that she had a room put up
- 13:40Speaker 2: with cameras in it. It was a tiny window in
- 13:42Speaker 2: a corner and there was a bolt locked from the outside.
- 13:45Speaker 2: He said that if you were bad or anything, she
- 13:48Speaker 2: would put you in this containment room. It literally had
- 13:50Speaker 2: a mattress on the floor. That's how he lived.
- 13:52Speaker 1: Sounds like Harry Potter. It started when he.
- 13:54Speaker 2: Was like eight or nine years old, and every once
- 13:58Speaker 2: in a while she just put you in isolated multiple times.
- 14:00Speaker 2: At one point, Zip tied his hands and feet together
- 14:03Speaker 2: and put a bolt on the door turn the lights off.
- 14:05Speaker 2: But again, there were cameras in there, so she was
- 14:07Speaker 2: able to watch them. Her lawyer has really not said
- 14:10Speaker 2: anything about the claims other than he doesn't believe she'd
- 14:14Speaker 2: intentionally harm calling like that.
- 14:16Speaker 1: Yes, after watching that episode, I was just talking about
- 14:18Speaker 1: and John is on there and you don't get Kate's
- 14:20Speaker 1: side of it, but listening to him, I believe him.
- 14:23Speaker 1: I think she's terrible.
- 14:25Speaker 2: I agree from all the things that we've learned over
- 14:27Speaker 2: the past ten years.
- 14:28Speaker 1: Yeah, and leg literally took the kids away from him.
- 14:31Speaker 1: I mean yeah, And of course as with any of
- 14:34Speaker 1: these kind of situations, there's two sides of it, but
- 14:36Speaker 1: still overall, I think the vibe ig it is she sucks, yeah,
- 14:40Speaker 1: for sure, and we all shot.
- 14:44Speaker 2: We were being punked yesterday. I'm like, this kidnot be real.
- 14:46Speaker 2: Dave Girl of Who Fighters, issued a statement on his
- 14:50Speaker 2: new baby, who was born outside of his marriage. He
- 14:54Speaker 2: said I planned to be a loving and supporting parent
- 14:57Speaker 2: to her. He writes, I love my wife and children,
- 15:00Speaker 2: and I am doing everything I can to regain their
- 15:02Speaker 2: trust and earn their forgiveness. Were grateful for the consideration
- 15:06Speaker 2: toward all the children involved as we move forward together.
- 15:11Speaker 2: He's been married to Jordan Bloom since two thousand and three.
- 15:14Speaker 1: Wow.
- 15:15Speaker 2: They have three daughters together, one Violet, who goes on
- 15:18Speaker 2: stage with them quite often, huge supporter of her dad.
- 15:22Speaker 2: Deactivated her Instagram yesterday. I'm sure because she just was
- 15:26Speaker 2: probably getting harassed or just didn't even want to see
- 15:29Speaker 2: what was going on.
- 15:30Speaker 1: But I mean it read like, you know, like a
- 15:34Speaker 1: sports like a NFL team putting out a statement that
- 15:37Speaker 1: they fired their coach or something. I mean, it was
- 15:39Speaker 1: a weird formal announcement kind of has the vibe and
- 15:42Speaker 1: I don't know exactly, but you know, like, was he
- 15:44Speaker 1: worried about getting blackmailed and this was just his way
- 15:48Speaker 1: of like owning.
- 15:48Speaker 2: It maybe yea, or just taking it because you know,
- 15:51Speaker 2: everybody's going to find out now that the baby is born,
- 15:53Speaker 2: and I would assume that your family has known about this.
- 15:57Speaker 1: Who knows, Yeah, with TMC and everything like that. I mean,
- 16:00Speaker 1: they're just gonna find out. So yeah, probably the best
- 16:02Speaker 1: thing to do, but it mostly sucks because I mean, listen,
- 16:06Speaker 1: in a vacuum rock star cheats on his wife like
- 16:09Speaker 1: not news, you know, like okay, but Dave Grohl, like
- 16:13Speaker 1: America loves him, like this guy's like the man and
- 16:16Speaker 1: just seems like an overall great guy. Yeah.
- 16:18Speaker 2: I think that was probably the surprise for a lot
- 16:20Speaker 2: of people. Yeah, just overall, and then the fact that
- 16:23Speaker 2: he went about it this way. Yet at the same
- 16:25Speaker 2: time I have respect for him just ripping the band
- 16:27Speaker 2: aid off, address it and move on, and don't try
- 16:30Speaker 2: to him and haw or make an excuse. It's like, nope,
- 16:33Speaker 2: here I am, I made a mistake and let's roll
- 16:35Speaker 2: right for sure.
- 16:35Speaker 1: Bad thing to do, of course, and he regrets it mightily,
- 16:39Speaker 1: I'm sure, but it still can be a good guy.
- 16:41Speaker 1: You know, I don't think he's been fooling us this
- 16:44Speaker 1: whole time. And you know what, cool guy, everybody's got skeletons.
- 16:47Speaker 1: That's right. Spooky season two, perfect time to have him
- 16:51Speaker 1: and Amanda in the morning on Big seven. Did you
- 16:55Speaker 1: see the big news? And I know this is not
- 16:56Speaker 1: really relevant for you, but Apple released the new iPhone
- 17:01Speaker 1: sixteen later this month. We're on sixteen.
- 17:04Speaker 2: I did see it, and I was like, next, tell
- 17:07Speaker 2: me when the Galaxy has a nice update.
- 17:09Speaker 1: What are they even doing over there in Galaxy Land?
- 17:12Speaker 2: I do love because we bring this up so often,
- 17:14Speaker 2: how many people will come up to me, like, tonight
- 17:16Speaker 2: we have wine. Now somebody be like, oh, I got
- 17:18Speaker 2: a galaxy too, acting as though we're just feign like
- 17:21Speaker 2: we should.
- 17:22Speaker 1: Well, yeah, we got your own little community we do.
- 17:24Speaker 1: It was funny. I was dejaying a wedding and I
- 17:26Speaker 1: was about to do the big grand entrance where you
- 17:28Speaker 1: introduced the wedding party, and so I had to get
- 17:30Speaker 1: the names of the party and anyway, the maid of
- 17:33Speaker 1: honor was going to text them to me, and so
- 17:35Speaker 1: I was I was text She texted me from her
- 17:38Speaker 1: phone and the message came up Green, and she had
- 17:41Speaker 1: an iPhone, so that would suggest that I did not
- 17:44Speaker 1: have an iPhone and my phone wasn't on me. And
- 17:46Speaker 1: I literally had to say, like, I swear to God,
- 17:48Speaker 1: I have an iPhone. Like, I don't know why that's
- 17:49Speaker 1: coming up, Green, It must be a connection issue. I
- 17:52Speaker 1: don't know what that even means. You don't even know
- 17:54Speaker 1: the look. I don't know. I don't know anything about it.
- 17:57Speaker 1: I guess it's a real if you know, you know.
- 17:59Speaker 1: But this U you iPhone number sixteen comes out September twentieth.
- 18:03Speaker 1: Then they did a survey of you know, there's a
- 18:05Speaker 1: lot of people who just need the newest and nicest thing,
- 18:07Speaker 1: and they're going to be waiting in line to get
- 18:09Speaker 1: this thing.
- 18:09Speaker 2: Crazy to me that people are still doing that because
- 18:12Speaker 2: the features these days and I have not looked through
- 18:15Speaker 2: what all it is. Is there anything really on there
- 18:19Speaker 2: that is gonna make you upgrade or want to spend
- 18:21Speaker 2: another grand.
- 18:22Speaker 1: Yeah, there's rarely like major changes. The camera generally improves,
- 18:26Speaker 1: but this does it. They're so dang nice already. I
- 18:28Speaker 1: mean I remember the iPhone ten being blown away with
- 18:31Speaker 1: that camera.
- 18:32Speaker 2: Yeah, I'll just look on Facebook memories. There was one
- 18:35Speaker 2: the other day, I'm.
- 18:36Speaker 1: Like, did I I don't even.
- 18:38Speaker 2: Know what kind of phone that picture that is? And
- 18:40Speaker 2: like I thought that was a good picture to post exactly.
- 18:43Speaker 1: Yeah, Well, forty percent of Americans think that the new
- 18:46Speaker 1: iPhone is worth going into credit card debt for the year.
- 18:49Speaker 1: Get out of here the phone, which is out September twenty.
- 18:52Speaker 1: It starts at seven ninety nine now the keyboard being start,
- 18:55Speaker 1: because they always that's a little trick. They always like,
- 18:57Speaker 1: you know, the super basics, tiny little version of it
- 19:00Speaker 1: is that. But then if you want the good one,
- 19:02Speaker 1: you know, the one with the three little cameras, it's
- 19:04Speaker 1: going to be a thousand something, you know.
- 19:05Speaker 2: I have the Samsung Ultraate and I have five or
- 19:09Speaker 2: six little thingies on there.
- 19:11Speaker 1: I mean, that is a bad boy. I am looking
- 19:14Speaker 1: at the amount of lenses you got on. I know,
- 19:16Speaker 1: it seems like I don't know how many of them
- 19:17Speaker 1: are even working. I don't know. I think it's just
- 19:19Speaker 1: like they're just adding them. Look, there's forty five lenses.
- 19:22Speaker 1: Imagine the photos. You could say trending. Now here's what
- 19:27Speaker 1: you need to know.
- 19:28Speaker 2: Hard to believe it was twenty three years ago today
- 19:32Speaker 2: nine to eleven my gosh, I remember exactly where I
- 19:35Speaker 2: was and just growing through Facebook a lot of people
- 19:37Speaker 2: of course paying tribute and never forgetting. But you know
- 19:40Speaker 2: one thing that I love family wellness. Have you seen
- 19:44Speaker 2: this how they have the firefighters that are there and
- 19:46Speaker 2: they're climbing the stairs.
- 19:48Speaker 1: Oh yeah, I mean I've done a work out like
- 19:50Speaker 1: that before, where you I think it's one hundred and
- 19:52Speaker 1: eighteen flights of stairs to just get an idea, which
- 19:56Speaker 1: of course not even the thing compared to but what
- 19:58Speaker 1: the firefighters, you know, had to do to get in there,
- 20:01Speaker 1: and a lot of them didn't make it out, which
- 20:03Speaker 1: is I forgot how just three hundred and eighty firefighters
- 20:07Speaker 1: died that day, which just that alone, but there's thousands
- 20:10Speaker 1: more that dies.
- 20:10Speaker 2: Yes, And they have started adding a lot of these
- 20:13Speaker 2: people are now dying twenty three years later, and they're
- 20:15Speaker 2: adding their names now. Last week they had a ceremony
- 20:18Speaker 2: in New York City adding their names to the memorial,
- 20:21Speaker 2: and today President Biden and Vice President Harris are planning
- 20:24Speaker 2: to visit the World Trade Center in Manhattan and the
- 20:26Speaker 2: Flight ninety three memorial in Shanksville and the Pentagon of Virginia.
- 20:30Speaker 2: Nearly three thousand people died in those attacks that day.
- 20:33Speaker 1: And nothing like it since you thankfully hopefully never again.
- 20:36Speaker 1: The fact that it happened on American soil is shocking.
- 20:38Speaker 1: I mean, just that moment of you know, the first
- 20:41Speaker 1: plane hits, everybody's like, what the heck's going on? You know,
- 20:44Speaker 1: how does that happen? Right? And then the second one hits,
- 20:47Speaker 1: and it's like the most chilling moments, I think for
- 20:49Speaker 1: all of us, because suddenly you go from what's going
- 20:52Speaker 1: on to this is a scary all in danger right now?
- 20:55Speaker 1: My god.
- 20:56Speaker 2: Exactly Last night was the first and possibly the only
- 21:00Speaker 2: presidential debate between Vice President Kamala Harris and Donald Trump.
- 21:04Speaker 2: Started out with an ice little handshake, and then it
- 21:07Speaker 2: started getting pretty snarky after.
- 21:09Speaker 3: Day in Springfield, they're eating the dogs the people that
- 21:13Speaker 3: came in, They're eating the cats, they're eating they're eating.
- 21:17Speaker 1: The pets of the people that live there.
- 21:21Speaker 3: You talk about extreme Donald Trum.
- 21:24Speaker 1: I'm sorry, and I'm not saying one way or the other,
- 21:27Speaker 1: but that is sort of nails on a chalkboard for me,
- 21:29Speaker 1: sort of the fraudulent delivery of some of these lines,
- 21:32Speaker 1: you know what I mean? Anyway, can get up what
- 21:35Speaker 1: you're putting downe Kamala go ahead.
- 21:36Speaker 3: Fired by eighty one million people. So let's be clear
- 21:39Speaker 3: about that. And clearly he is having a very difficult
- 21:42Speaker 3: time processing that. He talks about fictional characters like Hannibal Lecter.
- 21:46Speaker 3: He will talk about windmills cause cancer. And what you
- 21:50Speaker 3: will also notice is that people start leaving his rallies
- 21:53Speaker 3: early out of exhaustion and boredom.
- 21:55Speaker 1: He doesn't have a plan.
- 21:57Speaker 2: She copied Biden's plan, and it's like four sentences like run,
- 22:03Speaker 2: spot Run.
- 22:06Speaker 1: I mean, there's just so much going on here.
- 22:09Speaker 3: Ah.
- 22:10Speaker 2: After the debate finished, Harris's campaign did send out an
- 22:13Speaker 2: email challenging Trump to another debate. Trump responded by telling
- 22:16Speaker 2: ABC News that she was challenging him for another debate
- 22:18Speaker 2: because she lost tonight very badly. President Biden jumped on
- 22:22Speaker 2: Twitter and said, America got to see tonight the leader
- 22:25Speaker 2: I've been proud to work alongside for.
- 22:27Speaker 1: Three and a half years. Possibly the biggest surprise of
- 22:32Speaker 1: the night.
- 22:32Speaker 2: I really thought that she was just going to ignore
- 22:35Speaker 2: it this year. I don't know why I felt that way,
- 22:37Speaker 2: but Taylor Swift waited for the right moment, and she
- 22:40Speaker 2: did last night. She jumped on Instagram and put her
- 22:42Speaker 2: endorsement in for Harris. She ended up posting a picture
- 22:46Speaker 2: of herself holding her cat, Benjamin Button And it's a
- 22:49Speaker 2: really long statement, but she said, I've done my research
- 22:52Speaker 2: and I've made my choice, and then she signed it
- 22:54Speaker 2: Taylor Swift childless cat lady, which is why she's holding
- 22:58Speaker 2: the cat, in reference to JD. Vance's term used to
- 23:00Speaker 2: describe women without children.
- 23:03Speaker 1: Interesting. It was a real formal statement. I mean, I
- 23:05Speaker 1: get sharing your view and whatnot, but like Taylor, you don't,
- 23:08Speaker 1: you know, she made it seem like we were all
- 23:11Speaker 1: waiting to hear what she said so that we can
- 23:14Speaker 1: follow suit. Well, sadly she doesn't believe.
- 23:16Speaker 2: That, of course, but no, but sadly there are a
- 23:19Speaker 2: lot of people that she says, jump, they say how high,
- 23:23Speaker 2: and they're not going to do their research.
- 23:24Speaker 1: I've seen some people on social media just.
- 23:26Speaker 2: Sharing that as like queen Like whatever she's saying, I'm
- 23:30Speaker 2: just going with. It's like everybody should have their own morals,
- 23:32Speaker 2: values and do their own research.
- 23:34Speaker 1: Yeah, you know, and the older you get, the probably
- 23:36Speaker 1: more you realize that because you know, yes, if in
- 23:38Speaker 1: two thousand and eight it blink when eighty two came
- 23:41Speaker 1: out and said, hey, we're voting for Ralph Nader. I'd
- 23:44Speaker 1: be like, Okay, that's so, I guess that's what I'm doing. Wait,
- 23:48Speaker 1: Paros your.
- 23:48Speaker 2: Guy, I got it.
- 23:51Speaker 1: Sounds good boys and that's a little unsettling really for
- 23:56Speaker 1: some I'm one of them. But anyway, gonna be smoky today,
- 23:59Speaker 1: high of eighty six. You're telling me if In two
- 24:02Speaker 1: thousand and four, this spicy Gavin Rosdale came out and said, ay, Amanda,
- 24:07Speaker 1: seeing that nose on Parou, We're going Parou you with me?
- 24:11Speaker 1: Or no? Yes? Oh gosh, like an in the morning
- 24:18Speaker 1: on Big Nundy eight points. We were just talking about
- 24:20Speaker 1: Taylor Swift and you know, her formal announcement of who
- 24:23Speaker 1: she's endorsing for the presidency. She has gone to a
- 24:27Speaker 1: new level of fame. And it's hard to believe because
- 24:29Speaker 1: I remember when she was just coming out and this
- 24:31Speaker 1: one I was obsessed with her. That was a like
- 24:33Speaker 1: that was a lifetime ago, and somehow the trajectory of
- 24:36Speaker 1: her career, she's only getting more popular. It's insane.
- 24:40Speaker 2: And every time you think I'm getting sick of her,
- 24:42Speaker 2: like I go back to when she started the eras
- 24:44Speaker 2: tour and I was like, uh nah, whatever.
- 24:48Speaker 1: Amazing to me.
- 24:49Speaker 2: How I now would have loved, like if she was
- 24:52Speaker 2: coming back around, I would spend the money to go
- 24:55Speaker 2: right and see her show. Because after watching the highlights
- 24:58Speaker 2: of like what an experience.
- 24:59Speaker 1: Total, she got crazy. You bet you've been You've been got.
- 25:02Speaker 1: It's like the zombie Apocalypse. You've been bit and it's crazy.
- 25:05Speaker 1: She's still picking up fans and it's now reached a
- 25:09Speaker 1: new level of obsession because as Halloween season approaches, you
- 25:13Speaker 1: know you're gonna start seeing corn mazes pop up. We
- 25:16Speaker 1: have them locally, Yeah, I remember going as a child
- 25:18Speaker 1: a young man. They always set up the one.
- 25:21Speaker 2: I was actually at the Bean Days Parade over the
- 25:24Speaker 2: weekend and they were promoting the one over at West
- 25:26Speaker 2: Acres and that whole side of the parking lot.
- 25:27Speaker 1: It's nice to have one in towns. You don't have
- 25:29Speaker 1: to drive out to calm Stock or what one was.
- 25:33Speaker 1: I don't know. Well, now they're doing not one, but
- 25:36Speaker 1: multiple Taylor Swift mazes around the United States. What does
- 25:40Speaker 1: that entail? So it's a corn maze, but from the
- 25:43Speaker 1: bird's eye view, you have a lovely design of Taylor
- 25:47Speaker 1: Swift I'm looking at it right now. You got an
- 25:49Speaker 1: aerial shot here. It's it's literally just the maze is
- 25:52Speaker 1: designed as like a drawing of our Lord and Savior,
- 25:58Speaker 1: Taylor Swift. That's a little bizarre to have, Like her body, well,
- 26:03Speaker 1: it's a portrait, shoulders up, don't worry, it totally naked.
- 26:08Speaker 1: It was just that's a very odd thing. Well, and
- 26:11Speaker 1: it's such a hard I don't know what the processes
- 26:14Speaker 1: of making these things because I I don't know. I
- 26:16Speaker 1: know the aliens can do it, no problem as far
- 26:18Speaker 1: as crop circles, But how a human in this farmer,
- 26:21Speaker 1: Duke Wheeler couldn't think of a better farmer name. He
- 26:25Speaker 1: talked about how his daughter talked him into doing it. Okay,
- 26:28Speaker 1: now that's cute. Yeah, it's a story behind it, and
- 26:31Speaker 1: his reasoning was he thought about it. He's like, you know,
- 26:33Speaker 1: I think it's true. There's nothing bad about her, about Taylor.
- 26:37Speaker 1: So it just goes to show even Duke Wheeler, a
- 26:40Speaker 1: farmer in Ohio, agreed that she was worthy of a
- 26:44Speaker 1: Tailor Swift maze.
- 26:45Speaker 2: So it is interesting because that's going to be a
- 26:47Speaker 2: pretty detailed.
- 26:49Speaker 1: I'm looking at it, yeah, photograph or whatever. It is
- 26:52Speaker 1: it would be hard to draw it, let alone to
- 26:54Speaker 1: carve it out using a combine.
- 26:56Speaker 2: I know that there's been a few farmers in North
- 26:58Speaker 2: Dakota that have put together words and things like that,
- 27:02Speaker 2: but I'm trying to think anything over the top.
- 27:05Speaker 1: Nothing really sticks out to me. It does. I mean,
- 27:08Speaker 1: you're getting a lot of attention for it, of course,
- 27:09Speaker 1: but I mean think about when you're going. You've got
- 27:12Speaker 1: no idea you're in a Taylor Swift maze. Well, I
- 27:15Speaker 1: feel like that's the reason people would be going. Now,
- 27:18Speaker 1: it's not going to be very satisfying. I'm telling you.
- 27:21Speaker 1: If you think you're all excited to go to the
- 27:22Speaker 1: Taylor Swift mes, you get there and it's gonna be like,
- 27:25Speaker 1: this is just a bunch of corn.
- 27:27Speaker 2: So what if they have taite music playing, people are
- 27:31Speaker 2: dressed up in different eras, and but.
- 27:34Speaker 1: Then now it's not a Halloween experience. That could be No,
- 27:38Speaker 1: you gotta have spooky music.
- 27:39Speaker 2: What if it was a creepy Taylor Swifts that were
- 27:42Speaker 2: like zombies.
- 27:44Speaker 1: Okay, now you're onto something.
- 27:45Speaker 2: Taylor Zombies on Travis Kelcey as like the Reaper coming
- 27:51Speaker 2: after you.
- 27:52Speaker 1: Just Travis Kelsey with a knife would be good. No, see,
- 27:56Speaker 1: that's it. Okay, that's a good idea because before I'm like, oh,
- 27:58Speaker 1: this is kind of stupid. Yeah, you're walking through it's like, oh,
- 28:01Speaker 1: I'm in a corn maze. You have no idea. Meanwhile,
- 28:03Speaker 1: you're in her you know, collar bone and making it
- 28:07Speaker 1: a little if the noises are like, ooh, you're in
- 28:10Speaker 1: my collarbone? Is that a tailor swift? The impression, it
- 28:16Speaker 1: was just a spooky voice. That was actually the spookiest
- 28:19Speaker 1: I've ever sund it how that came out. That was
- 28:22Speaker 1: like a wicked witch kind of voice. Really impressed with
- 28:26Speaker 1: what you came out of. You.
- 28:27Speaker 2: You're a very bad voice actor historically, and that just happened.
- 28:31Speaker 2: I think I just need to shut her down. That
- 28:33Speaker 2: was my moment to shine, folks. That's it, that's all.
- 28:36Speaker 1: I'm going to get better in this
