  Speaker 1: it turns out that sign ups start today. Magnus, you say,

  Speaker 1: we have to get going the Deity Level Tournament starting.

  Speaker 1: What it is, people are going to be pretty disappointed

  Speaker 1: when they have to face up against my might. Uh yeah,

  Speaker 1: hopefully we'll have to go tell acts to get us there. Oh,

  Speaker 1: what planet was it on anyways? You ask, I think

  Speaker 1: the invitation said it was on Cardopolis Prime, the capital

  Speaker 1: of the Galactic Card Federation. Oh right, You and Magnus

  Speaker 1: head down the hall of your spaceship. You turn left

  Speaker 1: and go straight to the command center or bridge, where
• 3:43
  Speaker 1: you find as your tech axe a Lottel commanding an
• 3:49
  Speaker 1: entire team of tech elves. The entire place looks completely different,

  Speaker 1: completely upgraded. What happened here? You ask, Oh, I have

  Speaker 1: been doing some upgrades with the help of your elves.

  Speaker 1: The ship is now quicker and more powerful than ever before.

  Speaker 1: These elves are a huge bonus. Ax says, uh, cool, Well,

  Speaker 1: we have to get going to Cardopolis Prime as quickly

  Speaker 1: forward at an incredible speed. After a short trip, the

  Speaker 1: ship comes to a complete stop. In front of you

  Speaker 1: is a large, beautiful earth like planet surrounded by five moons.

  Speaker 1: There are spaceships everywhere, almost a traffic jam going on.

  Speaker 1: A speaker on the front console engages welcome to Cardopolis Prime.

  Speaker 1: Moon Base one for sign up coordinates transferring to your spaceship. Now,

  Speaker 1: all heading towards the same moon. One by one, they

  Speaker 1: those guys wearing a colorful vest and those little laid

  Speaker 1: up wavy things in his hand directing you where to land.

  Speaker 1: The ship lands in a large open spot and the

  Speaker 1: back hatch opens up. All right, Acts, we'll see you soon.

  Speaker 1: Stay here. You head oued into the parking lot, and well,

  Speaker 1: you just sort of follow the lines of people who

  Speaker 1: look like they know where they're going most of the time.

  Speaker 1: moon is set up with all kinds of battle stadiums

  Speaker 1: on almost every side of the parking lot is an

  Speaker 1: absolutely enormous stadium, just like the ones in the last

  Speaker 1: planet you were on. It's as if the entire moon

  Speaker 1: is set up for this tournament, and based on all
• 7:31
  Speaker 1: the people surrounding you, you're not the only one here
• 7:35
  Speaker 1: for it. There's all sorts of alien cardholders walking towards
• 7:40
  Speaker 1: the same line. One that looks like a floating jellyfish
• 7:45
  Speaker 1: sort of creature. There's a giant rock person, a slug
• 7:50
  Speaker 1: like alien wearing golden armor for some reason. A robot
• 7:55
  Speaker 1: that is carrying a glass brain. You wonder if the
• 7:59
  Speaker 1: brain is the cardholder or the robot. There are very
• 8:04
  Speaker 1: tall aliens and incredibly short aliens. In fact, there's one
• 8:09
  Speaker 1: that kind of looks like a mouse floating around on
• 8:12
  Speaker 1: a little eh like a little platform scooter or something
• 8:17
  Speaker 1: like that. You soon form into a line and wait
• 8:22
  Speaker 1: as it makes its way forward. The line leads you
• 8:26
  Speaker 1: through the doors of one of the biggest battle stadiums
• 8:30
  Speaker 1: in the area and into one of the biggest battle arenas,
• 8:36
  Speaker 1: where there's a whole bunch of different foldout tables set
• 8:40
  Speaker 1: up with people behind each one. As tables free up,
• 8:45
  Speaker 1: the people in the lines are escorted towards them. Soon
• 8:50
  Speaker 1: it's your turn, Table three. The person at the front
• 8:54
  Speaker 1: of the line orders and you head over there. Eh,

  Speaker 1: come to the Galactic Card Federations, and you will Deity
• 9:06
  Speaker 1: Level tournament. You will need to provide certain information. He

  Speaker 1: passes you a little page asking for your name, home region,

  Speaker 1: descriptions of your Deity level cards, emergency contacts, and a

  Speaker 1: waiver that seems to uh well, take any liability away

  Speaker 1: from the people running the tournament. If something terrible happens

  Speaker 1: to you, you fill out the paper as quickly as
• 9:36
  Speaker 1: you can and pass it back. Ah. Very good. Now,

  Speaker 1: since it's your first time here, I should probably explain

  Speaker 1: a few things. The tournament has two major parts. The
• 9:53
  Speaker 1: first part is the qualifying rounds. These rounds will be
• 10:00
  Speaker 1: one on one battles. You may pick a single card
• 10:05
  Speaker 1: in advance. I suggest picking your most powerful one, as
• 10:11
  Speaker 1: you cannot change cards in the future. You will be
• 10:15
  Speaker 1: set to battle against other participants. Winners will go on
• 10:21
  Speaker 1: to additional battles, and losers will be out of the tournament.
• 10:26
  Speaker 1: The number of rounds largely depends on the number of
• 10:30
  Speaker 1: people you see. We can only take so many in
• 10:34
  Speaker 1: the final tournament, and we need to whittle the numbers down.

  Speaker 1: The entire moon is covered in display screens where you
• 10:44
  Speaker 1: can search for your name and find the time, location,
• 10:49
  Speaker 1: and opponent you will be battling next. If you win
• 10:54
  Speaker 1: all of your qualifying rounds, you go on to the
• 10:59
  Speaker 1: main turn. It's a traditional tournament style where winners face
• 11:06
  Speaker 1: the winners and losers face the losers, that sort of thing.

  Speaker 1: If you get there, you will take place in a
• 11:16
  Speaker 1: three card battle. A coin will be flipped to see
• 11:21
  Speaker 1: who picks their card first, whereas the other person will
• 11:26
  Speaker 1: have the advantage of choosing their card based on what
• 11:30
  Speaker 1: the first person chooses. The winner of each round will
• 11:35
  Speaker 1: pick their next card first, giving the loser the advantage
• 11:40
  Speaker 1: for the next round, and so on in those rounds.

  Speaker 1: Winning two out of three battles means you move on.

  Speaker 1: But I'm probably getting ahead of myself. Where your cards

  Speaker 1: do look interesting? Being your first time at this tournament,

  Speaker 1: I highly doubt you'll even qualify. Now, go on and

  Speaker 1: check in a little while to see who you're battling first.

  Speaker 1: Boh and and of course take this. This is your

  Speaker 1: into various places in the tournament, like your battles, for example,

  Speaker 1: or the complimentary hotel room we've booked for you. Don't worry.

  Speaker 1: It's fully compatible with your card core. You may absorb

  Speaker 1: it now. You focus on the card and it immediately
• 12:38
  Speaker 1: lights up a bright blue color and blasts into your chest.

  Speaker 1: H cool. It doesn't feel as powerful as your other cards,

  Speaker 1: but you can still tell it's there. You and Magnus

  Speaker 1: make your way out of the line, bent over to
• 12:56
  Speaker 1: one of the many computer terminals that are bread throughout

  Speaker 1: the place. The screen asks you to well present your

  Speaker 1: ID card, so you do. You reach into your card core,
• 13:11
  Speaker 1: activate the ID card, and it appears in front of you.
• 13:17
  Speaker 1: The computer scans, it, processes, and then displays a schedule.
• 13:23
  Speaker 1: Only your first battle is currently displayed, along with the
• 13:28
  Speaker 1: time and place, which is in ten minutes and in
• 13:34
  Speaker 1: one of the stadiums off to the side. Uh, Magnus,
• 13:39
  Speaker 1: I think we gotta get going. Ah, yeah, sounds good,
• 13:43
  Speaker 1: Magnus replies. You run out of the battle stadium into
• 13:49
  Speaker 1: the parking lot, searching around for Stadium three, which is
• 13:53
  Speaker 1: where the schedule said you had to go. You see
• 13:57
  Speaker 1: a sign for Stadium three in the distance and start
• 14:00
  Speaker 1: running towards it, across the parking lot and straight into
• 14:05
  Speaker 1: the stadium doors. This one isn't as busy as the others,
• 14:10
  Speaker 1: but there's still quite a few people. You run up
• 14:14
  Speaker 1: to the help desk. I'm here for my match, you say,
• 14:21
  Speaker 1: almost entirely out of breath. Excellent, please present your ID cod.
• 14:29
  Speaker 1: You once again summon your glowing blue ID card in
• 14:33
  Speaker 1: front of you. The lady picks up a little hand scanner,
• 14:38
  Speaker 1: scans the thing, and looks over at her computer. You're
• 14:42
  Speaker 1: set to battle in battle Arena two in oh five minutes.
• 14:49
  Speaker 1: You better get going. It's that way. You follow where
• 14:54
  Speaker 1: she's pointing. Run down the hall until you see a
• 14:58
  Speaker 1: large two hanging up up above an elevator. You and
• 15:03
  Speaker 1: Magnus run inside the elevator. The doors close and you
• 15:09
  Speaker 1: slowly move upward. When the door's open, you enter into
• 15:15
  Speaker 1: a gigantic battle arena one, just like on the last
• 15:20
  Speaker 1: battle planet you were on. The ground itself is made
• 15:25
  Speaker 1: of dirt and stone, and there's a little bit from
• 15:30
  Speaker 1: almost every biome you can imagine, snow, sand, water. That
• 15:38
  Speaker 1: sort of thing obviously set up to not give anyone
• 15:42
  Speaker 1: any particular advantage, and of course to create a more
• 15:47
  Speaker 1: natural place to do battle, one that mimics the wilds. Well,
• 15:54
  Speaker 1: are you the opponent? A man dressed in a sort
• 15:59
  Speaker 1: of referee uniform asks you, Uh, yeah, I'm here to
• 16:03
  Speaker 1: do battle. Excellent, Come on over here. Your opponents already
• 16:09
  Speaker 1: here and ready to go. Let me introduce you to Walker. Now,
• 16:18
  Speaker 1: I just want to go over a couple things for
• 16:20
  Speaker 1: this match here, just a few reminders. First of all,
• 16:26
  Speaker 1: you've both already declared your cards. I see on the
• 16:32
  Speaker 1: form here that you will be using a Deity level
• 16:38
  Speaker 1: fire dragon named Magnus. Is that right? You nod an agreement,

  Speaker 1: and Walker, it seems that you have chosen a deity
• 16:51
  Speaker 1: level cat card called Camper. Is that correct? Man, Yes,

  Speaker 1: that is correct, Walker responds. Beside him. Is a cat

  Speaker 1: a little larger than most cats and wearing a camping backpack.
• 17:14
  Speaker 1: Did he say deity level camping cat? How is that
• 17:20
  Speaker 1: possibly going to do battle? You say to yourself in
• 17:24
  Speaker 1: your head. But well, you try not to get over confident.
• 17:28
  Speaker 1: After all, anyone at this tournament is likely fairly powerful.
• 17:34
  Speaker 1: All right, well, card holders, you must stay in your
• 17:40
  Speaker 1: designated area. You can give orders, but you may not
• 17:45
  Speaker 1: use any other cards. The first person to blast their
• 17:50
  Speaker 1: opponent back to their card cores wins and will go
• 17:54
  Speaker 1: on to the next round. Many questions, You and Walker
• 18:00
  Speaker 1: both shake your heads. Good. Now go to your sides
• 18:05
  Speaker 1: of the battle arena, he orders you. Walk over to
• 18:10
  Speaker 1: your little designated circle. As soon as you step inside,
• 18:15
  Speaker 1: a sort of energy force field surrounds you, obviously designed
• 18:20
  Speaker 1: to protect you from the battle. It closes both underneath
• 18:24
  Speaker 1: your feet, above your head, and entirely around you. Walker
• 18:31
  Speaker 1: enters his and the referee presses a button on his watch.
• 18:37
  Speaker 1: He floats up in the air and is surrounded by
• 18:41
  Speaker 1: a bubble of energy himself. He floats back and away
• 18:47
  Speaker 1: from the battle, and then begins to speak. All right,
• 18:53
  Speaker 1: it's tag for your cards to step forward. I see
• 18:58
  Speaker 1: you've both already. He activated them, so they can step
• 19:04
  Speaker 1: into the arena. Now you look over at Magnus, who's
• 19:08
  Speaker 1: just standing beside the little protective bubble. Eh, don't worry.
• 19:14
  Speaker 1: I don't think a camping cat is gonna be much
• 19:18
  Speaker 1: of a problem, he says. Then he walks over towards
• 19:24
  Speaker 1: the center line of the arena. The cat nods towards
• 19:29
  Speaker 1: walker and does the same. All right, cat, well, good luck,
• 19:38
  Speaker 1: you're probably gonna need it, Magnus says, as he begins
• 19:43
  Speaker 1: to glow and grows larger and larger and larger, taking
• 19:49
  Speaker 1: on his deity level form a gigantic black dragon with
• 19:56
  Speaker 1: veins of pure sunlight energy. But for some reason, the
• 20:03
  Speaker 1: camping cat doesn't look particularly impressed. He just licks the
• 20:08
  Speaker 1: back of his paw, rubs it on top of his head,
• 20:13
  Speaker 1: and then flicks open his backpack. Will begin in three
• 20:22
  Speaker 1: two one go. For a second, Magnus and the cat
• 20:29
  Speaker 1: just stare at each other, and then Magnus decides to
• 20:34
  Speaker 1: start things off. He takes in a deep breath and
• 20:39
  Speaker 1: blasts out a plume of fire towards the cat. The
• 20:44
  Speaker 1: cat jumps out of the way almost instantly. Then he
• 20:50
  Speaker 1: pulls something out of his backpack, ugh a fire extinguisher.
• 20:56
  Speaker 1: He pulls the trigger and a plume of ice energy
• 21:01
  Speaker 1: shoots out. It instantly puts out Magnus's fire and then
• 21:07
  Speaker 1: starts covering him in a layer of ice. Although it's
• 21:12
  Speaker 1: not particularly effective. Magnus heats himself up, breaks out of
• 21:17
  Speaker 1: the ice, and stares over at the cat. The cat
• 21:22
  Speaker 1: responds by shooting out hell ropes. Ten different ropes suddenly
• 21:30
  Speaker 1: blast out of the back of his backpack. They float
• 21:34
  Speaker 1: through the air and start to wrap around Magnus's limbs.
• 21:39
  Speaker 1: They wrap his two front legs together, his two back
• 21:43
  Speaker 1: legs together, and then start knotting themselves up around and
• 21:48
  Speaker 1: around his body, pulling him down towards the ground. Hey
• 21:54
  Speaker 1: where is this? He says, Before he can do anything
• 21:59
  Speaker 1: to fight back, the cat pulls something else out of
• 22:03
  Speaker 1: his backpack, a poncho. He puts the poncho on, and
• 22:11
  Speaker 1: in a little twinkle of light, he suddenly disappears. Magnus,
• 22:19
  Speaker 1: I think that might be an invisibility pancho watch out.
• 22:23
  Speaker 1: I kind of saw that. Magnus responds, getting frustrated with
• 22:29
  Speaker 1: the ropes. Magnus heats up his entire body. His veins
• 22:35
  Speaker 1: glow brighter and brighter until he is glowing like the
• 22:41
  Speaker 1: sun itself. The ropes disintegrate, and then well. The cat
• 22:48
  Speaker 1: appears directly in front of him, holding a large can
• 22:52
  Speaker 1: that reads Deity Level Bear Spray. He pulls the trigger
• 22:59
  Speaker 1: and the stream of very very intense pemper spray shoots
• 23:06
  Speaker 1: out directly into Magnus's eyes. He roars in pain, closes
• 23:13
  Speaker 1: his eyes, and starts whipping around in circles. Wow, my eyes,
• 23:20
  Speaker 1: you little Magnus crows, angrier and angrier, his body still
• 23:27
  Speaker 1: lit up in a bright white heat. The cat disappears
• 23:34
  Speaker 1: once again, but slowly, something else starts to appear, or
• 23:40
  Speaker 1: some things else, a whole bunch of different bear traps,
• 23:47
  Speaker 1: you know, the circular kind with the spikes that snap
• 23:51
  Speaker 1: together if you step on them. Clearly, the cat is
• 23:55
  Speaker 1: making its way around the arena and littering the entire
• 23:59
  Speaker 1: place with the things, while Magnus, still completely blind from
• 24:04
  Speaker 1: the pepper spray, is just kind of whipping around frantically until,
• 24:11
  Speaker 1: of course, he hits one of the traps. The gigantic
• 24:16
  Speaker 1: mechanism snaps together and pierces Magnus's front right arm. He
• 24:23
  Speaker 1: screams in pain again, then backs up and accidentally hits
• 24:29
  Speaker 1: another one with his tail. It snaps around him, causing
• 24:34
  Speaker 1: another whine of pain. I clearly shouldn't have underestimated this
• 24:41
  Speaker 1: camping cat, card, you say out loud, as Magnus continues
• 24:47
  Speaker 1: to trip trap after trap until he stops puffing and puffing,
• 24:55
  Speaker 1: still trying to clear his eyes and see straight. But
• 25:00
  Speaker 1: it seems that the camping cat isn't going to give
• 25:03
  Speaker 1: him any time to do that. He begins appearing in
• 25:07
  Speaker 1: different parts of the arena and throwing something out of
• 25:12
  Speaker 1: his backpack. Some things, anyways, things that look suspiciously like marshmallows.
• 25:22
  Speaker 1: The marshmallows fly through the air, and as soon as
• 25:25
  Speaker 1: they hit Magnus's heat, they explode into huge globs of
• 25:32
  Speaker 1: gooey fire, covering Magnus's arms, legs, head. The marshmallows continue
• 25:39
  Speaker 1: to fly until Magnus is covered in not only a
• 25:44
  Speaker 1: whole bunch of metal bear traps, but a sticky layer
• 25:51
  Speaker 1: of marshmallow. Alright, Magnus says, trying to stay calm. I
• 26:00
  Speaker 1: was trying to be nice, but apparently I'm gonna have
• 26:07
  Speaker 1: to do this a little bit differently. He doesn't move
• 26:13
  Speaker 1: or struggle any longer. He just begins to well glow
• 26:22
  Speaker 1: hotter and hotter and hotter, until you can barely look
• 26:26
  Speaker 1: at him. With a single stomp of his front legs,
• 26:32
  Speaker 1: the ground melts itself into lava. In response, the cat
• 26:38
  Speaker 1: jumps into the air and pulls out his fire extinguisher again,
• 26:43
  Speaker 1: spraying a spot on the ground, solidifying it into rock
• 26:48
  Speaker 1: and landing directly in the center of it. At the
• 26:52
  Speaker 1: same time, Magnus dives down into the pool of lava
• 26:57
  Speaker 1: he's created in the bottom of the battle. The cat
• 27:02
  Speaker 1: continues to spray the area around him with his well
• 27:07
  Speaker 1: superpowered freezing fire extinguisher or whatever it is, creating enough
• 27:12
  Speaker 1: of a platform for him to move around on. Then
• 27:17
  Speaker 1: he uses his poncho to become invisible once again, though
• 27:23
  Speaker 1: it's probably not that much help since Magnus can assume
• 27:27
  Speaker 1: he isn't well standing on the lava. A gigantic form
• 27:33
  Speaker 1: of a lava dragon pops up in front of the
• 27:37
  Speaker 1: little platform and climbs up on top of it. Instantly,
• 27:43
