- 0:00Speaker 1: Well, good afternoon, listeners. Thank you for coming on Lament
- 0:03Speaker 1: of Hope podcast. It's kind of crazy that we're already
- 0:06Speaker 1: in April and just, yeah, already so many interviews done
- 0:11Speaker 1: and just seeing, getting to hear so many different stories.
- 0:15Speaker 1: And recently we've been kind of talking to a lot
- 0:18Speaker 1: of different like survivalists and then talking to a dispatcher.
- 0:22Speaker 2: And because we have a very specific situation on the border,
- 0:29Speaker 2: I don't know if you heard about that. There is
- 0:33Speaker 2: one Christian road through this border. And people who are refugees,
- 0:40Speaker 2: they are trying to cross illegally the border. And later,
- 0:48Speaker 2: they are stuck in the forest in Poland. And I
- 0:53Speaker 2: worked when I'm on that area. I got... How it's called?
- 1:06Speaker 2: When you.
- 1:08Speaker 2: I got some localization from some number that, for example,
- 1:14Speaker 2: in that point, somewhere in the forest, they are... And
- 1:23Speaker 2: I will take my backpack with food, hot soup, or
- 1:31Speaker 2: something hot to eat, power bank, SIM card, or something
- 1:37Speaker 2: like that, clothes to change. And I'm trying to find
- 1:42Speaker 2: these people, and now they almost never take a picture.
- 1:47Speaker 2: I have always the camera with me, and they are like,
- 1:54Speaker 2: but I never the first thing I do I have
- 2:00Speaker 2: these people need any help like you have to give
- 2:06Speaker 2: them hot tea or hot soup or you have to
- 2:13Speaker 2: give them clothes because very often the janitor their clothes
- 2:21Speaker 2: are dirty or they are wet, something like that.
- 2:26Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 2:28Speaker 2: And very often they have some, I don't know, not
- 2:34Speaker 2: maybe broken, but they have, how it's called?
- 2:39Speaker 1: Sprint?
- 2:40Speaker 2: Yeah. So you have to move. And first of all,
- 2:48Speaker 2: I do this stuff. And later, this person, you know,
- 2:56Speaker 2: a little bit calm, you know, they are breathing. Later,
- 3:02Speaker 2: I try to make it normal.
- 3:06Speaker 1: Yeah. Just to clarify, you said these are refugees that
- 3:10Speaker 1: are in the forest. And they are, where are they located,
- 3:15Speaker 1: these refugees that you go to?
- 3:19Speaker 2: Somewhere in the forest. I don't know where exactly. I
- 3:22Speaker 2: got just like pin from their location. And then I
- 3:30Speaker 2: find them.
- 3:31Speaker 1: Is it near Poland?
- 3:33Speaker 2: It's always in Poland because I can't help them if
- 3:37Speaker 2: they are in Belarus.
- 3:40Speaker 1: Right. Okay.
- 3:41Speaker 2: Okay.
- 3:42Speaker 1: How often do you do that, where you go and
- 3:44Speaker 1: bring things to?
- 3:47Speaker 3: I'm trying to be there, like, for example, if I'm
- 3:57Speaker 3: in Warsaw, I'm trying to be there, like, at least
- 4:04Speaker 3: one time during the month.
- 4:06Speaker 1: Okay. Okay. And you were saying when you're there, you're
- 4:10Speaker 1: seeing horrific things, but you don't want to take photos
- 4:13Speaker 1: of these things.
