- 0:01Speaker 1: Now on the Voice of New York The Mark Simone
- 0:04Speaker 1: Show on sevent ten wo.
- 0:09Speaker 2: May, we got a lot to get to today, well,
- 0:12Speaker 2: and it's another cold date. It's a little better today,
- 0:15Speaker 2: you know, I think everybody's complaining some cold yesterday to day,
- 0:19Speaker 2: the dop cold. I think I'm gonna take up smoking
- 0:24Speaker 2: because I've noticed that if if you smoke, they don't
- 0:27Speaker 2: even feel the cold. It could be ten below zero.
- 0:30Speaker 2: As you can walk towards this building, the smokers are
- 0:33Speaker 2: all up front smoking. You know, they all sneak out
- 0:35Speaker 2: they have a cigarette. Could be fifty below zero, ten
- 0:38Speaker 2: feet they're still out there on the sidewalk smoking. So
- 0:42Speaker 2: what's today Wednesday? When we're almost through this week, we
- 0:44Speaker 2: got a lot to get to. We'll get to the
- 0:48Speaker 2: Somali community and the billions missing in Minnesota. We'll get
- 0:53Speaker 2: to affordability, We'll get to that crazy brad Lander, and
- 0:57Speaker 2: we'll get to you know, congestion. Pricing is now celebrating
- 1:01Speaker 2: it's one year anniversary. It's coming up on one year.
- 1:05Speaker 2: The yelling and screaming about it has died down a bit.
- 1:08Speaker 2: I guess people just starting to accept it. It's probably
- 1:11Speaker 2: going to be here forever. It doesn't go away.
- 1:14Speaker 3: You know.
- 1:14Speaker 2: It's like when they raise the symptoms, they don't raise
- 1:18Speaker 2: your maintenance or your property. Text. It's what they call
- 1:20Speaker 2: an assessment to fund something, a little assessment while we
- 1:25Speaker 2: need it. It never goes away. These things never ever
- 1:28Speaker 2: go away. President Trump went to Pennsylvania last night for
- 1:33Speaker 2: the rally. He's been in the White House now for
- 1:36Speaker 2: about eleven months, and a lot of times they start
- 1:41Speaker 2: to do these things for two reasons. One, you're not
- 1:44Speaker 2: getting your message across because the media is so corrupt,
- 1:48Speaker 2: and they've focus grouped prices, and that's how they came
- 1:52Speaker 2: up with the word affordability. It tested the best in
- 1:56Speaker 2: focus groups, so Democrats used it successfully in the elections
- 2:00Speaker 2: in November, and the media just goes crazy attacking Trump
- 2:05Speaker 2: on affordability. It's all a bit of a hoax because
- 2:09Speaker 2: the fact is in the eleven months that he's been there,
- 2:11Speaker 2: prices have come down quite a bit. Inflation has been
- 2:14Speaker 2: cut in half, which is pretty good in ten months.
- 2:19Speaker 2: He always said it would take a year, year and
- 2:21Speaker 2: a half to get it down. Now, remember the big
- 2:24Speaker 2: beautiful bill that he passed with all the tax cuts,
- 2:27Speaker 2: all that stuff has not taken effect yet. Although they
- 2:30Speaker 2: got it passed this year, it doesn't kick in until January,
- 2:33Speaker 2: so you'll see a huge change in January. Everybody will
- 2:36Speaker 2: be getting more money in their paychecks in January because
- 2:40Speaker 2: the bill will begin January first. The tax cuts now again,
- 2:45Speaker 2: prices are already down. Inflation hit nine percent at one
- 2:50Speaker 2: time under Biden. The average under Biden was five percent.
- 2:53Speaker 2: It's now two and a half, so he's cut inflation
- 2:56Speaker 2: in half already. Food prices are down. They'll point to
- 2:59Speaker 2: a couple of things, like beef prices. What about beef,
- 3:02Speaker 2: that's the reason for the beef prices being way up.
- 3:06Speaker 2: You can thank Joe Biden and the Democrats for that.
- 3:09Speaker 2: I don't know if you remember, but about two years
- 3:11Speaker 2: ago they started this war on cows, claiming that cows
- 3:15Speaker 2: caused climate change. I forget how they came up with
- 3:18Speaker 2: that or how they explained it, but they went after
- 3:21Speaker 2: the cattle industry in the Green scheme, and as a result,
- 3:26Speaker 2: the cattle industry had to cut back the size of
- 3:29Speaker 2: herds and all that stuff. So there are less cattle,
- 3:31Speaker 2: less cows, less beef. Now they have to get that back.
- 3:35Speaker 2: It's just like with oil, where they cut back drilling,
- 3:38Speaker 2: there was less oil out there and made the price
- 3:40Speaker 2: go up. And the same thing with cattle. We had
- 3:42Speaker 2: a lot less cattle than we usually have. So Trump
- 3:45Speaker 2: administration has changed all that. It'll take again. It takes
- 3:48Speaker 2: more than a few months. It's going to take a
- 3:50Speaker 2: year to get the cattle herds back up to where
- 3:52Speaker 2: they were, and that brings down the price. So it
- 3:55Speaker 2: was in Pennsylvania to do the rally to get the
- 3:58Speaker 2: message out about afford But wages are up since he
- 4:01Speaker 2: took office. Wages are up, prices are down. You got
- 4:05Speaker 2: to get that across, although it's tough because fake news
- 4:09Speaker 2: will just keep yelling that there's a terrible affordability crisis.
- 4:14Speaker 2: It really isn't. It's a lot better. I mean, if
- 4:17Speaker 2: you call this an affordability crisis, what did you call
- 4:19Speaker 2: two years ago when it was five times worse. So
- 4:23Speaker 2: now the other reason you do the rallies is a
- 4:28Speaker 2: president who is a great speaker, great performer. When he
- 4:32Speaker 2: gets elected. Now he goes into the White House and
- 4:35Speaker 2: he's in the White House and that's it, and he speaks.
- 4:37Speaker 2: It's in a room with a podium to people he knows.
- 4:41Speaker 2: And after a while you start to get well, it's
- 4:47Speaker 2: like your caged animal. You need to get out there.
- 4:50Speaker 2: They saw this with Reagan, and they realized they had
- 4:52Speaker 2: to get him out there. Let him give him a
- 4:53Speaker 2: big audience, give him thousands of people out there, let
- 4:56Speaker 2: him do rallies, let him do speeches. It's like a
- 4:59Speaker 2: great performer, comedian, singer. You gotta let him go out
- 5:02Speaker 2: on stage. You gotta let him get out there. So
- 5:05Speaker 2: they started to do these rallies for Reagan for no reason,
- 5:08Speaker 2: just because he needed it. He needed the energy from
- 5:10Speaker 2: the crowds, needed to get out of the White House,
- 5:12Speaker 2: get back in touch with the people. So every couple
- 5:16Speaker 2: of weeks they set up something for Reagan, usually close
- 5:19Speaker 2: by so he could get there fast and get home fast,
- 5:22Speaker 2: and not California, nearby, Maryland, Pennsylvania. So they need to
- 5:27Speaker 2: do this with Trump. He needs to get out there,
- 5:29Speaker 2: get back on stage, get back to performing for audiences.
- 5:32Speaker 2: So you'll see more of these. He did an hour
- 5:35Speaker 2: and a half last night. I know the fake news
- 5:38Speaker 2: will tell you he's got no energy, can't stay awake.
- 5:41Speaker 2: He did an hour and a half, a lot longer
- 5:42Speaker 2: than he's supposed to do. He was kind of all
- 5:44Speaker 2: over the map. So he didn't, you know, always say
- 5:47Speaker 2: you got to stay on message, and well, Trump's not
- 5:50Speaker 2: going to do that. The coverage of it, of course,
- 5:53Speaker 2: is bad because that's the way they do things. He
- 5:56Speaker 2: talked about affordability, He talked in great detail about what
- 5:59Speaker 2: he would do about it, and a couple of times
- 6:00Speaker 2: he made some jokes. So if you're watching the fake news,
- 6:04Speaker 2: all they would say is he ridiculed affordability. He made
- 6:07Speaker 2: fun of the problem of affordability. Was totally inaccurate portrayal
- 6:12Speaker 2: of what happened. So you'll see more of these rallies. Hey,
- 6:17Speaker 2: yesterday had some special elections. The interesting one was Miami
- 6:21Speaker 2: mayoral election. Special election had a runoff. The Democrat won.
- 6:26Speaker 2: Now that's unusual, usually it's a Republican in Miami. It's
- 6:28Speaker 2: the first time a Democrat has won in thirty years
- 6:31Speaker 2: in Miami. So if you're watching the fake news, they'll
- 6:35Speaker 2: tell you this is a bad sign for the midterms.
- 6:39Speaker 2: This is a bad barometer what's going to happen in
- 6:41Speaker 2: the midterms. The fact that the Democrat won in Miami,
- 6:44Speaker 2: of all places where Democrats never win, this is a
- 6:48Speaker 2: bad sign for a well, I think you got to
- 6:52Speaker 2: look at more detail at this race. Nobody showed up
- 6:55Speaker 2: to vote. There was no turnout. The total votes thirty six,
- 7:00Speaker 2: which is unheard of. That's incredibly low. So nobody showed
- 7:06Speaker 2: up to vote. That's how the Democrat got in. Now,
- 7:09Speaker 2: as we've talked about here in New York, they got
- 7:11Speaker 2: the same problem in Miami. There really is not much
- 7:14Speaker 2: of a Republican party machine. One thing about the Democrats.
- 7:18Speaker 2: They have a strong party with infrastructure, lots of bodies,
- 7:22Speaker 2: and what they call the ground game, which is crucial.
- 7:26Speaker 2: Boots on the ground that get turnout, get people out
- 7:28Speaker 2: to the polls. You know, door knockers, people working phone banks,
- 7:33Speaker 2: people you know, knocking on doors. You need this kind
- 7:36Speaker 2: of stuff. Democrats have that same thing we have in
- 7:39Speaker 2: New York. Same problem in Miami. Republicans nothing public party
- 7:44Speaker 2: is there, three people, part time nothing. Democrats have a
- 7:48Speaker 2: massive amount of people on the ground to get turnout.
- 7:51Speaker 2: So it was a tiny little turnout and Democrats want
- 7:55Speaker 2: so don't take it as much of a sign of anything. Hey,
- 7:59Speaker 2: Jimmy Kimmel, last Night special guest David Letterman is returned
- 8:03Speaker 2: to late night TV, and he looked like the old
- 8:06Speaker 2: Letterman with the suits and the tie and those shiny
- 8:10Speaker 2: socks and the loafers, but still with the white beard.
- 8:15Speaker 2: You know, if you're a kid watching Jimmy Kimmel, you know,
- 8:18Speaker 2: you wouldn't know who Letterman is, and with that beard,
- 8:20Speaker 2: you must have thought this is Santa Claus or something
- 8:22Speaker 2: coming up. Although if you're a kid, you're not going
- 8:25Speaker 2: to be watching Jimmy Kimmel. These late night shows. Average
- 8:28Speaker 2: age of the viewers is sixty three years old on
- 8:30Speaker 2: the late night shows now most of them just talk
- 8:33Speaker 2: about politics these late night shows. Instead of fun stuff.
- 8:37Speaker 2: It's all political and when you do that, you get
- 8:39Speaker 2: a much older audience. Average age of msnbcviewer I think
- 8:42Speaker 2: is sixty seven now. But Letterman on Kimmel, you know,
- 8:49Speaker 2: he was very big in late night TV on CBS,
- 8:52Speaker 2: in fact, beating Jane Leno at times. But then about
- 8:55Speaker 2: halfway through his run on CBS, Letterman started to get
- 8:58Speaker 2: political and it was pretty obvious he was a very
- 9:01Speaker 2: left wing guy, so he lost half his audience. If
- 9:05Speaker 2: you remember, he was doing very well on CBS against
- 9:08Speaker 2: the Tonight Show, and then as he got political and
- 9:11Speaker 2: went far to the left, he started to lose audience,
- 9:13Speaker 2: and it went way down and started dropping and dropped
- 9:16Speaker 2: almost in half after a couple of years. So that
- 9:19Speaker 2: was the end, and that's when New it was time
- 9:21Speaker 2: to go, and CBS started looking around. But they made
- 9:24Speaker 2: the mistake of going with another left wing guy. You
- 9:27Speaker 2: want a guy in the middle. You know, if you
- 9:29Speaker 2: kind of make fun of everybody, you can do very well,
- 9:32Speaker 2: as Greg Guttfeld proved by getting bit. He has more
- 9:36Speaker 2: viewers than Kimmel, Fallon and Colbert combined every night. He's
- 9:41Speaker 2: the king of late night now. So but the point is,
- 9:44Speaker 2: Letterman came out and he went really crazy with the
- 9:47Speaker 2: Trump derangement syndrome. I mean really going after Trump with
- 9:51Speaker 2: the hysterical, hyperbolic, vicious attacks on him. Now, the other
- 9:57Speaker 2: thing he did, he came on and he congratulate Jimmy Kimmel.
- 10:00Speaker 2: He said, you have just been re signed. You know,
- 10:02Speaker 2: they tried to throw you off the air, they tried
- 10:05Speaker 2: to get rid of you. They're pushing together, can get
- 10:07Speaker 2: you fired. Yet you just signed. You signed a big
- 10:12Speaker 2: new contract. And the audience cheered and went crazy for
- 10:14Speaker 2: this big new contract. Well, they're totally conning the audience.
- 10:19Speaker 2: Kimmel did not get a big new contract, and he fact,
- 10:22Speaker 2: he got the most insulting contract literally in the history
- 10:25Speaker 2: of late night TV. Every contract to re sign your
- 10:29Speaker 2: late night host, it's always five years, always five years.
- 10:34Speaker 2: In case of a big, big name like a Carson
- 10:37Speaker 2: or in Oprah, it'd be a ten year contract. Kimmel
- 10:42Speaker 2: was resigned to a one year extension, which is the
- 10:45Speaker 2: worst insult. That's when you really don't like somebody or
- 10:49Speaker 2: you really don't think you're going to keep a one
- 10:51Speaker 2: year extension. They tried to do that to Carson in
- 10:54Speaker 2: ninety one, and that's the reason he left. That's where
- 10:57Speaker 2: he made the decision it was time to go and
- 10:59Speaker 2: quit because he realized what an insult that is. So
- 11:02Speaker 2: Kimmel has not been resigned to a big new contract.
- 11:06Speaker 2: The reason they'll only do a one year extension. This
- 11:07Speaker 2: is the way they're not stuck with you, and if they
- 11:10Speaker 2: have to fire you tomorrow, they don't have to pay
- 11:12Speaker 2: out very much. They do only have to pay out
- 11:15Speaker 2: for eleven months or ten months, which they would do anyway.
- 11:17Speaker 2: So it's basically not even really a renewal, huge insult
- 11:22Speaker 2: to Kimmel. Letterman knows that and was just totally conning
- 11:25Speaker 2: the audience with his nonsense. So, hey, Brad Lander, you
- 11:32Speaker 2: know that is he was the controller, a real left
- 11:36Speaker 2: wing cook. He's no longer the controller. His term is
- 11:39Speaker 2: up and he's going to run for Congress. He's trying
- 11:42Speaker 2: to win Dan Goldman's seat. Now, this doesn't make any
- 11:48Speaker 2: difference to anybody. Dan Goldman also a far left kok
- 11:52Speaker 2: So if it's Lander Goldman, who cares. But Lander is
- 11:57Speaker 2: trying to run on something. Accomplishments. He tries to in
- 12:01Speaker 2: this commercial list his accomplishments. He doesn't have any. So
- 12:05Speaker 2: what could he possibly come up with. Well, he mentioned
- 12:07Speaker 2: the fact that he got arrested fighting ice. That's the accomplishment.
- 12:12Speaker 2: Remember there was an ice proceeding going on in the
- 12:15Speaker 2: courtroom and Lander tried to burst in and they told
- 12:18Speaker 2: him he can't come in right now, and he didn't listen,
- 12:19Speaker 2: and he came in and they had to arrest him
- 12:22Speaker 2: and take him out. He was being disorderly. He was
- 12:24Speaker 2: totally guilty of disorderly conduct. Governor Hokeel was called and
- 12:28Speaker 2: ran right down to the courthouse and got him released
- 12:31Speaker 2: in her custody. But he's just a clown, just a
- 12:35Speaker 2: silly guy, far left guy. He is one of the
- 12:39Speaker 2: reasons we have Mom Donnie as mayor. He worked hard
- 12:42Speaker 2: to get Mom Donnie elected. You remember, there was a
- 12:44Speaker 2: primary and Lander was running against Mom Donni. But then
- 12:48Speaker 2: at some point he decided to join the Mom Donnie team.
- 12:51Speaker 2: They got together, they pulled their voters, he endorsed Mom Donne.
- 12:54Speaker 2: He got him through that primary, and so they were
- 12:58Speaker 2: very close. There were teammates on this whole thing, and
- 13:02Speaker 2: then something went wrong there and Mom Donnie cut off Lander.
- 13:07Speaker 2: After all this happened, you figured Brad landerby a big
- 13:10Speaker 2: part of the administration. They had some kind of breakup,
- 13:13Speaker 2: some kind of fight, and Mom Donnie cut Lander off completely.
- 13:19Speaker 2: So apparently Lander too reprehensible even for Mom Donnie, so
- 13:23Speaker 2: he was cut off. Now he's running for this seat.
- 13:26Speaker 2: He's a big, blowhard showboat. He's like a George Santos,
- 13:32Speaker 2: kind of one stunt after another trying to get publicity.
- 13:36Speaker 2: Problem with Dan Goldman. Besides being a far left kook,
- 13:40Speaker 2: he's kind of a quiet guy. I don't think he
- 13:41Speaker 2: can compete with all the stunts. So who knows. Lander
- 13:46Speaker 2: may have a shot against him. You know, the most
- 13:49Speaker 2: fascinating thing is Minnesota, the Somali community where this fraud
- 13:54Speaker 2: took place. Whenever, whenever Democratic leaders start yelling him programs
- 14:00Speaker 2: for the homeless, money seems to disappear. You know, the
- 14:04Speaker 2: great thing about the green scheme, the climate change, it
- 14:07Speaker 2: was billions in contracts to hand out billions. So that's
- 14:13Speaker 2: why Democrats love that climate change green scheme stuff. That's
- 14:16Speaker 2: what it's called the green steam scheme. You give out
- 14:19Speaker 2: massive contracts to companies in exchange for huge donations and
- 14:23Speaker 2: whatever you needed. Well, a lot of Democrats, especially locally
- 14:28Speaker 2: mayors and those sorts, I've realized the homeless scheme is
- 14:33Speaker 2: much better. The problem with the green scheme when you
- 14:36Speaker 2: give out a contract, it's to a company in Colorado
- 14:39Speaker 2: that makes windmills or something, and they found with the homeless,
- 14:44Speaker 2: the money doesn't leave the community. You're still giving out
- 14:48Speaker 2: massive contracts, but you're giving them out right in your
- 14:51Speaker 2: neighborhood to people you know. So the money comes back
- 14:54Speaker 2: to you in a lot more ways and a lot faster.
- 14:57Speaker 2: So you remember, Bill de Blasio and his wife set
- 15:01Speaker 2: up this crazy program when he was mayor called Thrive NYC.
- 15:07Speaker 2: And it was helped the homeless. And if you actually
- 15:09Speaker 2: asked him, well, what exactly show me the program. Well,
- 15:12Speaker 2: it's yoga for homeless, Yoga for homeless, literally, that was
- 15:16Speaker 2: one of the programs. So a billion dollars was handed out.
- 15:20Speaker 2: After it was all over, everybody looked for the money
- 15:24Speaker 2: or what happened, and they couldn't They couldn't find it.
- 15:26Speaker 2: Even a missus Deblasio and the husband admitted they don't
- 15:30Speaker 2: know where the money went. They can't find it, they
- 15:32Speaker 2: can't keep track of it. Well, you got Minneapolis, you
- 15:36Speaker 2: got these Somali leaders, a elon Omars, these types they
- 15:41Speaker 2: set up the same thing. Programs are the homeless, and
- 15:43Speaker 2: if you were running a homeless type program, they would
- 15:46Speaker 2: give you money out of all these funds, government funds,
- 15:49Speaker 2: taxpayer funds, federal funds. And they started passing out money
- 15:54Speaker 2: and it's all gone. Nobody can find it. And it
- 15:58Speaker 2: looks like first a billion, then they said it's probably
- 16:00Speaker 2: two billion. Now they think it might be as much
- 16:02Speaker 2: as eight billion has been stolen from taxpayers has disappeared
- 16:06Speaker 2: into this homeless scheme. And this is one of the
- 16:10Speaker 2: great great scandals of the news media fake news. You'll
- 16:14Speaker 2: notice you're not seeing any coverage of this if we
- 16:17Speaker 2: had legitimate, actual media, if CBSABC, NBC were legitimate, they'd
- 16:23Speaker 2: be all over this. They would dispatch a whole team
- 16:27Speaker 2: of reporters, go to Minneapolis, don't leave until you found
- 16:29Speaker 2: out what happened, get to the bottom of this. The
- 16:32Speaker 2: New York Times, the Washington Post. They'd be sending reporters.
- 16:35Speaker 2: There's no coverage, no mention of it. They don't want
- 16:38Speaker 2: you to know about it. So this is what democrats do. Now,
- 16:42Speaker 2: they've got these homeless schemes where you get to handout
- 16:46Speaker 2: money left and right. Now, Mom Donnie gets elected, what's
- 16:50Speaker 2: he talking about setting up a homeless program, setting up
- 16:54Speaker 2: a massive program to handout massive contracts on the So
- 16:58Speaker 2: we had imagine it's the same exact scheme, and that's
- 17:01Speaker 2: what will happen here. And we've already got some good
- 17:05Speaker 2: homeless programs. He's canceling them because they basically don't hand
- 17:08Speaker 2: out massive contracts to anybody. So it's going to be
- 17:12Speaker 2: interesting to see what happens now, Mom Donnie takes over.
- 17:14Speaker 2: I know you're hearing everybody's fleeing, everybody's leaving New York
- 17:17Speaker 2: with this not true. I'm sure you can find somebody
- 17:20Speaker 2: that's leaving New York. But the best thing to do
- 17:23Speaker 2: is look at real estate sales. As far as apartments condos,
- 17:27Speaker 2: sales are up up dramatically in the last month. Now,
- 17:31Speaker 2: sometimes that always happens year end, but you had eight
- 17:34Speaker 2: hundred and seventy six contracts signed the last month. It'll
- 17:39Speaker 2: take the super high end, very expensive, multi zillion dollar apartments.
- 17:44Speaker 2: You had nine contracts signed last week. That's a lot
- 17:47Speaker 2: and the better things. Check the rental market. That's people
- 17:50Speaker 2: coming in. Rentals in New York City are through the roof.
- 17:54Speaker 2: In fact, right now it's very tough to rent an
- 17:56Speaker 2: apartment because rentals are going crazy. So people are moving
- 18:00Speaker 2: in despite mom. Donnie. Anyway, we've got a lot to
- 18:03Speaker 2: get to. We'll take some calls in a moment. Eight
- 18:06Speaker 2: hundred three to two one zero seven ten is the number.
- 18:09Speaker 2: Eight hundred three two one zero seven ten.
- 18:14Speaker 1: Let's get back to the Mark Simone show I wr.
- 18:19Speaker 2: Hey, Let's take some calls. Eight hundred three to two
- 18:22Speaker 2: one zero seven Tennis. Peter, Peter and Harlem. He's always
- 18:27Speaker 2: angry about something, Peter, what's going on?
- 18:29Speaker 3: I'm not angry, always angry about something? Wait, let me
- 18:33Speaker 3: say something number one, you didn't tell the audience. Two
- 18:37Speaker 3: questions are on, hang up, you didn't tell the audience
- 18:39Speaker 3: who's written those expensive apartment and the fact that they
- 18:43Speaker 3: might even be red Chinese or our enemy. Secondly, well,
- 18:47Speaker 3: we got.
- 18:47Speaker 1: To go.
- 18:50Speaker 2: Super super luxury apartments in New York very often are
- 18:56Speaker 2: a lot of Chinese people, a lot of Arab people,
- 19:00Speaker 2: a lot of the Middle Eastern people, a lot of Russians.
- 19:03Speaker 2: One of the reasons is, especially China and those places,
- 19:06Speaker 2: they don't trust their own government, and they got to
- 19:09Speaker 2: park money somewhere just in case they have to flee,
- 19:12Speaker 2: so they'll buy like a one hundred million dollar apartment
- 19:17Speaker 2: in New York. That way, they got an asset. It's there.
- 19:19Speaker 2: You know, if they have to leave China, they can
- 19:21Speaker 2: sell it. And you know, they bought up all the
- 19:25Speaker 2: apartments in New York that way, and then they ran
- 19:28Speaker 2: the apartments to buy. That's one reason you cannot buy
- 19:31Speaker 2: a rolex right now. Certain watches, Paddock Philippe and a
- 19:35Speaker 2: Rolex there's like a three year waiting list because a
- 19:37Speaker 2: lot of the same people they had to park their
- 19:40Speaker 2: assets somewhere, so they start buying up every watch in
- 19:43Speaker 2: the world too. That's why there's a massive waiting list.
- 19:46Speaker 2: Let's go to Phyllis in Brooklyn, Phillis. How you doing
- 19:50Speaker 2: all right?
- 19:50Speaker 4: Good morning. I was just wondering a conversation you had
- 19:55Speaker 4: with Saulius today. You know about the documentary this Snai
- 20:00Speaker 4: your Enterprises was preparing. I believe you were part of it.
- 20:03Speaker 2: Now, Oh you're talking about it's actually Fox News or
- 20:06Speaker 2: Fox Nation. It's a big, massive Sinatra documentary. They interviewed
- 20:11Speaker 2: everybody in the world. Yeah, I'm on it too. Have
- 20:12Speaker 2: you seen it? Do you know where it is?
- 20:14Speaker 3: No?
- 20:14Speaker 4: I don't. That's why I'm calling.
- 20:17Speaker 2: Well. I remember when I did it. I said once
- 20:19Speaker 2: it's coming out, and they said in the fall, I
- 20:21Speaker 2: don't think it's out yet, but it's coming soon, and
- 20:24Speaker 2: it will be again, it's not out yet, it's coming out,
- 20:28Speaker 2: but it's at these guys that did this documentary, they
- 20:32Speaker 2: were younger guys, but they really knew what they were doing.
- 20:36Speaker 2: And I know they went to Patsy's and interviewed everybody there,
- 20:40Speaker 2: and they interviewed me for like three hours, and they
- 20:43Speaker 2: were I was telling them everybody who would know everything
- 20:46Speaker 2: about Sinatra. It's given them all the names to interview.
- 20:48Speaker 2: Every time I mentioned anybody that we already did them.
- 20:50Speaker 2: We already did them. We just got done. So they
- 20:52Speaker 2: interviewed everybody. They were very thorough. Big Sinatra documentary. I
- 20:56Speaker 2: don't know if it's Fox News or Fox Nation, but
- 20:59Speaker 2: it'll be coming out soon. Let's go to Mike in Florida. Mike,
- 21:03Speaker 2: how you doing.
- 21:04Speaker 3: Good morning, Mark.
- 21:05Speaker 2: Yes, Mike, that's not your thing.
- 21:07Speaker 5: Should be great.
- 21:10Speaker 2: You know.
- 21:10Speaker 5: Thomas Saul, the famous economist, once said affordable housing is
- 21:14Speaker 5: housing you can afford. And it sounds kind of flippant,
- 21:17Speaker 5: but that's the truth. I mean, nobody could afford to
- 21:20Speaker 5: live in Manhattan, you know, or any big city. It's
- 21:23Speaker 5: expensive to live there. And I think it's great that
- 21:26Speaker 5: the president is out making his case, but where are
- 21:29Speaker 5: the other Republicans? You know, where are those months? Why
- 21:31Speaker 5: aren't they speaking up? I mean Trump speaks every day
- 21:34Speaker 5: to the media and makes his case every day for
- 21:37Speaker 5: hours on end, you know, every every news you know,
- 21:39Speaker 5: every every day, see another news conference from the from
- 21:43Speaker 5: the office there, and you know, where are the other
- 21:45Speaker 5: Republicans out there?
- 21:47Speaker 2: Yeah? Well, it's Trump is right about the hoax. He
- 21:50Speaker 2: doesn't explain it that well. But the whole thing is
- 21:54Speaker 2: especially affordable housing. You know, there's places where you're not
- 21:57Speaker 2: gonna have affordable housing because they're very well the areas,
- 22:01Speaker 2: and you can yell and scream. You know, if you
- 22:04Speaker 2: went to Southampton, right on the water on what's at
- 22:10Speaker 2: the lane there, whatever lane, metal lane, further lane, whatever
- 22:13Speaker 2: it is right on the water in Southampton, every house
- 22:17Speaker 2: is like eighty million dollars. You could stand there and
- 22:19Speaker 2: say why isn't there affordable housing because it's not supposed
- 22:23Speaker 2: to be. If you go to the next town up,
- 22:26Speaker 2: if you go to Riverhead, there's plenty of affordable housing.
- 22:29Speaker 2: It just there's very, very very expensive neighborhoods. There's very
- 22:33Speaker 2: poor neighborhoods, and there's everything in between. Speaking of the Hampton,
- 22:37Speaker 2: there's an affordable housing crisis fight out. I'll tell you
- 22:40Speaker 2: about this the next start. It's a good illustration. But
- 22:42Speaker 2: if you go to Long Island, you go anywhere in
- 22:45Speaker 2: Long Island, you go to Garden City, it's expensive. They
- 22:49Speaker 2: don't have any affordable housing, but they don't need to
- 22:51Speaker 2: because you go ten blocks that way, you're in Hempstead
- 22:54Speaker 2: and there's plenty of affordable housing. You're not supposed to
- 22:57Speaker 2: have affordable housing everywhere. It's okay to have a wealthy neighborhood,
- 23:01Speaker 2: a middle class neighborhood, a poorer neighbor It happens. So
- 23:05Speaker 2: we'll get into this in the next hour when we
- 23:07Speaker 2: come back. Our old buddy Monica Crowley, now the Chief
- 23:11Speaker 2: Protocol Officer of the United States. We'll talk to her
- 23:14Speaker 2: next on seven to ten w R. Mister New York.
- 23:18Speaker 1: He's on the case the mar Simone Show on.
- 23:24Speaker 3: Well.
- 23:25Speaker 2: Hey, we knew her when she was just Monica Crowley.
- 23:28Speaker 2: She is now the Chief of Protocol of the United
- 23:32Speaker 2: States of America. She is the Ambassador Monica Crowley, Madam Ambassador.
- 23:37Speaker 2: How you doing?
- 23:39Speaker 6: Hi, Good morning, Mark.
- 23:40Speaker 7: I'm doing well, although I have to say keeping up
- 23:43Speaker 7: with President Trump is quite the project.
- 23:46Speaker 2: Oh I don't know. I was read in the New
- 23:48Speaker 2: York Times. Apparently he's cognitive. Whatever he's falling asleep, he
- 23:52Speaker 2: can find.
- 23:55Speaker 7: I mean, you know, the propagandaize coming from the mainstream
- 23:59Speaker 7: media just never stop.
- 24:01Speaker 6: It is the exact opposite.
- 24:03Speaker 7: You know, you would think that if they wanted to
- 24:05Speaker 7: lie about President Trump, and they have for the last
- 24:08Speaker 7: eleven years since he became a leader and a candidate
- 24:12Speaker 7: and a president. But you would think that it would
- 24:15Speaker 7: have like some semblance of believability. This is like President
- 24:22Speaker 7: Trump literally never sleeps.
- 24:24Speaker 6: He is going around the clock.
- 24:26Speaker 7: There is no such thing as a day off, there
- 24:28Speaker 7: is no such thing as a weekend.
- 24:30Speaker 6: It is NonStop with him. And it is all geared to.
- 24:33Speaker 7: The American people, to bringing America back, making America great again,
- 24:38Speaker 7: getting our economy back on track, which is why he
- 24:41Speaker 7: was back doing a rally in Pennsylvania yesterday. It is
- 24:45Speaker 7: about securing peace around the world, to make sure that
- 24:48Speaker 7: conflicts around the world are minimized and ended, which brings
- 24:53Speaker 7: greater prosperity to their regions, to the world, and to
- 24:56Speaker 7: the United States. The man never stops.
- 25:00Speaker 2: If they weren't so corrupt, it's a more fascinating story.
- 25:04Speaker 2: They could be reporting that no president ever behaved like this.
- 25:07Speaker 2: Usually it's a press conference two weeks from Monday. Nobody's
- 25:10Speaker 2: ever had four hundred press conferences a day, or just
- 25:14Speaker 2: events around the clock. But and do you sometimes not
- 25:19Speaker 2: even know where you're going to be, what city. The
- 25:21Speaker 2: way he moves and keeps moving, it is nonsense.
- 25:24Speaker 7: Every day I wake up Mark and I'm like, okay,
- 25:26Speaker 7: what kind of adventure is going to be coming out
- 25:29Speaker 7: me today and it really is an adventure.
- 25:31Speaker 6: Every day is a blessing.
- 25:33Speaker 7: But I have to say at the end of last week, I,
- 25:37Speaker 7: in the space of seventy two hours, Mark I went
- 25:40Speaker 7: from dealing with the President of Rwanda to the president
- 25:45Speaker 7: of FIFA and FIFA legends to Jane Simmons of Kiss.
- 25:52Speaker 2: Yeah, tell us about it.
- 25:54Speaker 6: Really in seventy two hours. It's just extraordinary.
- 25:58Speaker 2: Yeah, tell us about the Kennedy Center looked really great.
- 26:00Speaker 2: That's Sunday night ceremony.
- 26:03Speaker 7: Oh, absolutely amazing. So on Thursday last week, the President
- 26:07Speaker 7: presided over Peacedale between the presidents of Rwanda and the
- 26:11Speaker 7: Congo and that conflict has been going on for thirty
- 26:14Speaker 7: five years, so he brokeer that peace deal and we
- 26:18Speaker 7: did that. And then on Friday at the Kennedy Center,
- 26:21Speaker 7: we hosted FIFA for the twenty twenty sixth final draw
- 26:25Speaker 7: for the World Cup next year, which President Trump heroically
- 26:29Speaker 7: brought to the United States back in his first term.
- 26:32Speaker 7: So we did that on Friday, and then all weekend
- 26:36Speaker 7: we celebrated at the Kennedy Center for the Kennedy Center Honors,
- 26:40Speaker 7: which was taped on Sunday, and it's going to air,
- 26:44Speaker 7: I believe, on December twenty third on CBS, so the
- 26:48Speaker 7: rest of the country will get to see what we
- 26:50Speaker 7: saw live on Sunday night. And it was just magical.
- 26:55Speaker 7: We had so many acts that are just purely American hunts,
- 27:00Speaker 7: like George Street and Kiss and Gloria gainor Sylvester Stallone.
- 27:06Speaker 6: It was just absolutely magical to see all of these
- 27:11Speaker 6: phenomenal acts get their due.
- 27:15Speaker 7: Michael Crawford of course, get their due with tributes and
- 27:18Speaker 7: then tribute performances. So I encourage everybody to watch on
- 27:22Speaker 7: December twenty third on CBS because.
- 27:24Speaker 6: You will love the show.
- 27:26Speaker 7: But really, Mark, that's another project that President Trump has
- 27:30Speaker 7: taken under and turned around. He has saved the Kennedy Center,
- 27:35Speaker 7: which is one of America's great cultural institutions.
- 27:39Speaker 6: He has saved it.
- 27:40Speaker 2: Yeah, you know, a lot of stuff is going on.
- 27:41Speaker 2: People don't realize. Apparently the infrastructure was crumbling at the
- 27:44Speaker 2: Kennedy Center. He had to fix that. He's fixed up
- 27:47Speaker 2: every inch of the White House, the entrance to this,
- 27:50Speaker 2: the that, not to mention the ballroom and all that.
- 27:52Speaker 2: But the boy he doesn't get any credit for that.
- 27:57Speaker 7: He really, no, he doesn't, but I'll tell you he will.
- 28:02Speaker 7: He will because he really believes said our capital city, Washington,
- 28:07Speaker 7: d C. Should be a sparkling gem. And that is
- 28:11Speaker 7: why he is moving on all fronts to turn our
- 28:14Speaker 7: capital city into that shining city on a hill that
- 28:18Speaker 7: Ronald Reagan talked about when he talked about America. But
- 28:21Speaker 7: President Trump really believes that the entire country will follow
- 28:25Speaker 7: suit if our capital is cleaned up and made safe.
- 28:30Speaker 7: And that's why we have the National Guard on the streets.
- 28:33Speaker 7: And we had that horror happened right around Thanksgiving where
- 28:37Speaker 7: we had two National guardsmen shot and one unfortunately passed away.
- 28:42Speaker 7: One is struggling for his life still.
- 28:45Speaker 6: But he has.
- 28:45Speaker 7: Actually ratcheted up the National Guard present since that horrific shooting.
- 28:52Speaker 6: Washington, d C.
- 28:54Speaker 7: Now is incredibly safe, much safe for them where you
- 28:57Speaker 7: were sparkling. And it does extend were institutions as well,
- 29:02Speaker 7: like the Kennedy Center. He has done all of that
- 29:06Speaker 7: while turning the US economy around, while brokering peace deals
- 29:12Speaker 7: around the world.
- 29:13Speaker 6: Again, the man never stops for good.
- 29:17Speaker 2: Hey, Now, Monica Crowley as Chief of Protocol, all the
- 29:20Speaker 2: world leaders come to the White House, they first meet
- 29:22Speaker 2: with you, and we see you greet them, and you're
- 29:24Speaker 2: sitting with them and you're talking with them. What do
- 29:27Speaker 2: you notice they all have in common, all the different
- 29:29Speaker 2: world leaders, as.
- 29:31Speaker 7: Far as that's a really yeah, that's a really interesting question.
- 29:35Speaker 6: Mark, thank you.
- 29:37Speaker 7: Yes, I mean my office and I've got an absolutely
- 29:41Speaker 7: phenomenal team.
- 29:42Speaker 6: I cannot do any of this without them. They are
- 29:45Speaker 6: just incredible.
- 29:46Speaker 7: And what we do is manage the diplomatic engagements for
- 29:50Speaker 7: the President, the Vice President, and the Secretary of State.
- 29:54Speaker 7: So I am I am obviously hooked to the President
- 29:57Speaker 7: and these world leaders.
- 30:00Speaker 6: And I have to say.
- 30:01Speaker 7: That most of them, not all, but the vast majority
- 30:06Speaker 7: of these world leaders.
- 30:07Speaker 6: First of all, they.
- 30:09Speaker 7: When they come in, they all have a sense of
- 30:12Speaker 7: awe of the President and the White House in America.
- 30:16Speaker 6: They all understand where they are, and.
- 30:18Speaker 7: Even if they're meeting with the president elsewhere, like President
- 30:21Speaker 7: Putin of Russia met with President Trump in Alaska, so
- 30:25Speaker 7: not in the White House, but there is a fundamental
- 30:29Speaker 7: understanding that they are dealing with the world's superpower. And
- 30:33Speaker 7: President Trump is one of the few presidents in recent
- 30:37Speaker 7: history to understand the importance of American leverage and knows
- 30:42Speaker 7: how to use it. He knows he's sitting atop the
- 30:44Speaker 7: world's superpower militarily, economically, diplomatically, politically, culturally, and he leverages it,
- 30:52Speaker 7: and he knows how to leverage it. This is why,
- 30:54Speaker 7: you know, coming out of his business background is so invaluable.
- 30:59Speaker 6: But these worlds leaders understand, and I would.
- 31:01Speaker 7: Say almost all of them have said to me and
- 31:05Speaker 7: to others, you know, even if we disagree with President
- 31:09Speaker 7: Trump on policy, even if we have serious policy differences
- 31:15Speaker 7: with the administration with the United States, we all appreciate
- 31:19Speaker 7: a strong American president. They all appreciate that he is
- 31:25Speaker 7: strong and that he tells them the truth.
- 31:29Speaker 6: Now, they may not like the truth, they may.
- 31:32Speaker 7: Not like what they're hearing from him, they may disagree right,
- 31:36Speaker 7: and they may want to counter it, but they all
- 31:39Speaker 7: understand that having a strong American hand in the White House,
- 31:44Speaker 7: sitting atop the country, they know exactly where they stand.
- 31:48Speaker 7: They don't have to waste time guessing what does the
- 31:50Speaker 7: president believe, where's American policy going? They know exactly where
- 31:55Speaker 7: they stand, and then they can operate from there, and
- 31:57Speaker 7: they all appreciate that more than you know.
- 32:01Speaker 2: Wow, well, hey, we only got about thirty seconds left.
- 32:03Speaker 2: You got the most important, glamorous job. But tell the truth,
- 32:06Speaker 2: you miss us, You miss New York. You miss the
- 32:09Speaker 2: radio and TV, don't you.
- 32:11Speaker 7: Well, I am so blessed to be in this job,
- 32:14Speaker 7: and I thank God every day, and I thank the
- 32:16Speaker 7: President for having the confidence in me to do this job.
- 32:19Speaker 6: It is incredibly important, and I'm just so grateful. But
- 32:22Speaker 6: I am a New Yorker.
- 32:24Speaker 7: So while I'm in DC doing this job, while President
- 32:27Speaker 7: Trump is in office, as long as they will have me,
- 32:29Speaker 7: I am still a New York girl. And I pray
- 32:32Speaker 7: and hope that we will survive the Mondommie years, and
- 32:36Speaker 7: that he will he will moderate, because you know, New
- 32:39Speaker 7: York City is the capitalist gem, the cultural gem of
- 32:43Speaker 7: this country, and it cannot go the way of a
- 32:46Speaker 7: San Francisco or a Seattle or Portland. It cannot be gutted.
- 32:51Speaker 7: And so I hope him pray that. Well you're all there,
- 32:54Speaker 7: you guys, Every New Yorker will work hard to save
- 32:57Speaker 7: our city.
- 32:58Speaker 2: All right, Well, Monica craw keep up the great work. Hey,
