- 1:11Speaker 2: It wasn't amazing, it was okay.
- 1:13Speaker 1: Can we do a beautiful day? Yeah, I've got to
- 1:16Speaker 1: start get up early. And I was saying to the missis,
- 1:17Speaker 1: so we can go for an early morning stroll. Yeah,
- 1:20Speaker 1: surprise around our joint. Can I just can we just
- 1:23Speaker 1: have a bit of sleep chat here for a sick sure?
- 1:26Speaker 1: Because I don't know what the fuck is going on.
- 1:29Speaker 1: But the last two weeks just jump immediately. Yeah, of
- 1:34Speaker 1: course it does. The last two weeks fucking terrible.
- 1:39Speaker 3: Just take ages to go to sleep, sleep like that
- 1:43Speaker 3: and waking up continuously through the night.
- 1:47Speaker 1: And this is after you know, walking team k in
- 1:50Speaker 1: a day. What the fuck?
- 1:51Speaker 3: Man?
- 1:52Speaker 2: How many coffee is he having?
- 1:53Speaker 1: My normal three a day? Yeah? What times? Your last one?
- 1:57Speaker 1: About usually about eleven thirty twelve? Yeah, right, well that
- 2:00Speaker 1: should be fine. Well totally. I mean I used to
- 2:03Speaker 1: have coffee. I used to have a coffee at night.
- 2:07Speaker 1: Well people do that, don't they. Yeah, they do. When
- 2:09Speaker 1: you're out for dinner, you have a post dinner a
- 2:11Speaker 1: little coffee there. I do that. Yeah, I'm as good
- 2:15Speaker 1: as gold. Yeah what about I am doing the all
- 2:18Speaker 1: night wake up at the moment, but I'm also going
- 2:19Speaker 1: back to sleep because a couple of a few weeks
- 2:21Speaker 1: ago there I was doing my wake up, stay awake
- 2:23Speaker 1: and that's the worst of the worst. Yeah, I agree.
- 2:25Speaker 3: And that's the only redeeming feature for me, is that
- 2:28Speaker 3: I'm waking up constantly and I'm going.
- 2:30Speaker 1: I'm not fucking getting up. I'm going to go back
- 2:32Speaker 1: to sleep. It may take an hour.
- 2:34Speaker 2: Do you say this out loud?
- 2:35Speaker 1: Yes? I do.
- 2:36Speaker 3: I wake up my wife and I say, you know what,
- 2:39Speaker 3: this is the fifth time tonight, darling, that I've woken up.
- 2:41Speaker 3: I'll be fucked if I'm getting up though, and she'll
- 2:43Speaker 3: be like, yeah, that's the fifth time you've told me
- 2:46Speaker 3: fuck you. Ah.
- 2:49Speaker 2: I've been going straight to sleep, right, and then being
- 2:52Speaker 2: like fucking to have a really good sleep here, and then.
- 2:54Speaker 1: Every time I appreciate yourself, preciate it.
- 2:57Speaker 2: And then I'll wake up middle of the night every time.
- 2:59Speaker 1: No good the other night, right, you want to ship sleep?
- 3:02Speaker 2: You trick yourself the other like out loud, yeah, the
- 3:06Speaker 2: other night I needed a good sleep, right, And so
- 3:09Speaker 2: I was fast asleep. And at four thirty the door
- 3:11Speaker 2: to our garage at the end of our hallway unit
- 3:14Speaker 2: at the end of our unit hallway at the end
- 3:18Speaker 2: of our grand Grandnee flat hallway on the right is
- 3:20Speaker 2: the door to our bedroom, and straight ahead is the
- 3:23Speaker 2: door down into the garage internal access.
- 3:27Speaker 1: Yeah, rich guy.
- 3:30Speaker 2: At four thirty in the morning that door opened.
- 3:32Speaker 1: Was like.
- 3:36Speaker 2: Jason, It was Jason in the garage because.
- 3:38Speaker 3: I couldn't sleep, you see, And I went we might
- 3:40Speaker 3: as well, go over to Keys's.
- 3:41Speaker 2: Accesses house internally via the garage, but that and we
- 3:47Speaker 2: usually locked that door. It's always locked, right, And my
- 3:49Speaker 2: wife was instantly like, someone's going yeah, So I went
- 3:53Speaker 2: out there nude, yeah, to throw down, sucked them up
- 3:57Speaker 2: to one that was nothing.
- 3:59Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 3:59Speaker 1: It's just really bugging me. It's really bugging me this
- 4:02Speaker 1: whole sleep thing. At the moment. It's becoming an issue.
- 4:06Speaker 1: What the right?
- 4:07Speaker 2: What time you're waking up?
- 4:08Speaker 1: Well? What is it? Does it ruin your day? When
- 4:09Speaker 1: you it's just annoying.
- 4:13Speaker 3: I'm going to be really genuinely tired, and it's just like,
- 4:19Speaker 3: what the fun? And there's nothing going on that I
- 4:21Speaker 3: should be worried about or anything in particular.
- 4:23Speaker 1: Time you're going to sleep ten too late? It's too
- 4:26Speaker 1: late for a minu of your age, is it yep? Nine? Yeah,
- 4:30Speaker 1: but if I went to bit at nine, I'd be
- 4:31Speaker 1: up at about three in the morning.
- 4:33Speaker 2: So what time are you waking up?
- 4:35Speaker 1: Five? Nah? No, usually six sixteen, it's pretty good.
- 4:39Speaker 2: So you're going to be at ten, going to sleep
- 4:41Speaker 2: in eight and a half hours of lazy eight and
- 4:43Speaker 2: a half half hours, but you're waking up five times?
- 4:47Speaker 1: Yes?
- 4:48Speaker 2: For an hour each for an hour each time, Yes,
- 4:50Speaker 2: eating three hours sleep the whole.
- 4:53Speaker 1: Larky Big Show week days from four on Radio Hurarchy
- 4:58Speaker 1: The Warchy Big Show. I have to pressure my wife
- 5:01Speaker 1: to go to bed because she's like, oh, she might
- 5:04Speaker 1: just sit up for a bit or whatever. Well, I'm
- 5:07Speaker 1: getting ready for bed, and I say, can you haul it?
- 5:12Speaker 1: Or I might have a nap during the day, as
- 5:13Speaker 1: I did the other day, and she's like, having a nap,
- 5:17Speaker 1: it's so well, you go to sleep. We go to
- 5:20Speaker 1: bed at nine, She's asleep by one past nine. Then
- 5:24Speaker 1: she sleeps completely asleep until six thirty, so she's got
- 5:27Speaker 1: her nine and a half hours. I go to bed
- 5:29Speaker 1: at nine, I get to sleep at ten. I wake
- 5:31Speaker 1: up for about four hours during the night, so I've
- 5:33Speaker 1: had no sleep.
- 5:35Speaker 2: Do you ever do a bit of work in the
- 5:36Speaker 2: middle of the night.
- 5:37Speaker 1: I used to, yeah, about a year ago, and prior
- 5:40Speaker 1: to that, before I was still in the business up.
- 5:42Speaker 1: I would literally be up probably for two to three
- 5:46Speaker 1: hours a night.
- 5:47Speaker 2: Was it because you were thinking of stuff?
- 5:48Speaker 1: And it's like I might as just fucking do it. Yeah,
- 5:51Speaker 1: Because you're like you go to bed with it on
- 5:53Speaker 1: your mind and then you wake up and it's like
- 5:55Speaker 1: a fuck and then you just got to get up
- 5:57Speaker 1: and work it out. Yeah.
- 5:58Speaker 2: And also in the middle of the night things seem
- 5:59Speaker 2: way worse than they actually are.
- 6:00Speaker 1: I find oh, yeah, I had a good week. Wake
- 6:03Speaker 1: up the other week one of those stone cold anxiety ones.
- 6:06Speaker 1: So I just go, you're a fucking idiot. Yeah, I
- 6:11Speaker 1: love those, absolutely nothing. And next I was like, oh
- 6:15Speaker 1: my god, I've tortured myself that. Yeah, I did nothing wrong.
- 6:19Speaker 2: So many people have that though anxiety and the words of.
- 6:22Speaker 1: I can't toll fewlers. You are not your thoughts, all right.
- 6:29Speaker 3: Your thoughts are just creating a storyline that is bullshit.
- 6:33Speaker 2: That's told German spiritual teacher and self help.
- 6:37Speaker 1: But you can use it to your advantage, Jase, Yes,
- 6:40Speaker 1: because your thoughts can be bullshit. But if you make
- 6:43Speaker 1: your thoughts super positive and amazing, you can create super jas. Mexages, Yeah, mexages.
- 6:52Speaker 1: But apart. I'll tell you what. Because my wife, she
- 6:55Speaker 1: had a coffee date. She had a coffee date today.
- 6:57Speaker 3: So I was on the lonesome on my city walk
- 7:00Speaker 3: and boy, I fucking went for miles, went down in
- 7:03Speaker 3: and up down by the.
- 7:04Speaker 1: Beach, one lamp post and you turn around, man, you'd
- 7:09Speaker 1: be amazed. So when you sit out and choose a route,
- 7:12Speaker 1: you don't, I don't choose a route. Yes, when you
- 7:17Speaker 1: leave the house, do you have a long stick with
- 7:19Speaker 1: a knapsack on the end of it, and it's got
- 7:21Speaker 1: your lunch and shit in it, and you've got like
- 7:23Speaker 1: boots with no lacers in them.
- 7:25Speaker 3: But this is the joy of it, is that I
- 7:28Speaker 3: just go around discovering new places to eat and find coffee.
- 7:32Speaker 1: That you just turn up at people's doorstep and steer
- 7:34Speaker 1: at the door until someone opened. That's still freaking me out,
- 7:39Speaker 1: that story fucking hour.
- 7:40Speaker 2: So when you come out of your apartment, when you
- 7:45Speaker 2: come out of your apartment, do you traditionally turn left
- 7:47Speaker 2: or right right right down the hill.
- 7:49Speaker 1: Down in the city.
- 7:50Speaker 3: I mean, I love k Road, but she's a big,
- 7:53Speaker 3: she's a she's a staunch walk to start the day
- 7:56Speaker 3: up the hill there. Yeah.
- 7:57Speaker 1: Yeah, But wh's just fine, right, And the only issue
- 8:01Speaker 1: I have with Kroa is well, I have a couple.
- 8:03Speaker 1: It's a great rather six weeks. As you're saying, is
- 8:07Speaker 1: that it doesn't get a lot of sun.
- 8:09Speaker 3: Weirdly, fellas right, it's often very shady and it's quite cold.
- 8:14Speaker 1: It's definitely shady.
- 8:15Speaker 2: Have you tried going there during the day.
- 8:17Speaker 3: Yes, I go there during the day, but it takes
- 8:19Speaker 3: the sun a little while to get round into the
- 8:21Speaker 3: street itself a.
- 8:22Speaker 1: New public toilets, so you try those bloody good.
- 8:25Speaker 2: Have you tried not being in the alleyways on K Road?
- 8:29Speaker 3: Yes, but I like going the alleyways because that's when
- 8:32Speaker 3: you discover cool stuff.
- 8:33Speaker 1: Yeah, is sort of all painted? Are they brick or
- 8:36Speaker 1: are they sort of fleshy? Jays?
- 8:42Speaker 2: Did you hear Meggi's question?
- 8:45Speaker 1: Oh cool, Jason?
- 8:47Speaker 2: Okay, cool to the radio show, and Jason's not going
- 8:50Speaker 2: to talk to Megi.
- 8:51Speaker 1: That's cool.
- 8:54Speaker 3: So generally I go right, I go right gezy, yeah, right,
- 8:58Speaker 3: because what's about Mogi?
- 9:00Speaker 1: On a day like this, On a day like.
- 9:02Speaker 3: This, right, you go out the apartment door, you know,
- 9:05Speaker 3: the apartment, you turn right sunlight to the city, into
- 9:11Speaker 3: the city.
- 9:11Speaker 2: And then you you're at your coffee culture or whatever
- 9:13Speaker 2: it is. And then and then do you go further,
- 9:16Speaker 2: like do you get down to Key Street? I go
- 9:18Speaker 2: right down to the bottom of town Key Street for
- 9:20Speaker 2: the water, to the water. Yes, sometimes I go up
- 9:23Speaker 2: to Ponts and beet Wow. From where from the water right.
- 9:28Speaker 3: Up College Hill and then walk along Ponsonby Road down
- 9:32Speaker 3: over the bridge there and back.
- 9:34Speaker 1: Really that's a good circuit.
- 9:36Speaker 2: It's a glovely it's a good wall.
- 9:37Speaker 1: What are you doing while you're walking there? Have you
- 9:39Speaker 1: got your skulkin? He's on?
- 9:40Speaker 3: I do?
- 9:41Speaker 1: Yeah, And you're just listening to music? Are you maling
- 9:42Speaker 1: things over? Jase?
- 9:44Speaker 3: Often old mull things over Magi, but often it's Eckard
- 9:48Speaker 3: on my and yeah, but today, but I get a
- 9:52Speaker 3: bit over a cart sometimes bangs on a bit, I'll
- 9:55Speaker 3: tell you what, and he's you know your thoughts? Come on, mate,
- 9:58Speaker 3: He's not he's not an inspiring speaker. But no, today
- 10:03Speaker 3: it was all tunes.
- 10:03Speaker 1: Can I say I've gotten rid of the tunes because
- 10:07Speaker 1: I was a heavy tunes and a heavy podcast listener,
- 10:09Speaker 1: very very heavy. So I've just I lost my This
- 10:13Speaker 1: will come as a shock to you, Kizy. I lost
- 10:15Speaker 1: my earbads, my Apple earbads, Wow, the case and one
- 10:19Speaker 1: of them, and then I just haven't replaced them. So
- 10:21Speaker 1: now I'm not listening to any music walking around, and
- 10:23Speaker 1: I'm also not listening to any podcasts walking around, so
- 10:26Speaker 1: I'm engaging with my environment. Yes, which is good. Yes,
- 10:29Speaker 1: I'm enjoying that. Yeah, a year ago. Listen to music.
- 10:33Speaker 1: I'll listened to it at home. I listen to music.
- 10:36Speaker 1: I'll listened to it. Radio hodche Yes, true, man.
- 10:39Speaker 3: It was funny today because you know how you have
- 10:41Speaker 3: your favorites on Spotify, Yeah, you know, I hope you
- 10:44Speaker 3: sort of.
- 10:45Speaker 1: And I had a fucking tool song on there. Which
- 10:47Speaker 1: one was it? I'll find it for you hooker with
- 10:50Speaker 1: a penis. I was probably because.
- 10:53Speaker 3: Usually, as you can imagine, fellas, the tunes I like
- 10:56Speaker 3: are pretty chill.
- 10:57Speaker 1: They're pretty chill. I'm not even going there. They're pretty chill.
- 11:01Speaker 3: And then all of a sudden, fucking tools banging in there,
- 11:03Speaker 3: and I was like, how the fucking tune?
- 11:05Speaker 1: How the fuck did that get on the one everybody
- 11:07Speaker 1: loves hooking? Yeah, was a banger. Wait wait, I'll find it.
- 11:13Speaker 1: Pug Zone doesn't like listen to the Big Show might
- 11:16Speaker 1: have deleted it.
- 11:17Speaker 2: Four to seven weekdays Radio Hdaki, I'm just gonna.
- 11:20Speaker 1: Look at that. I'll just see cool.
- 11:22Speaker 2: Just stand by the I just walked past the same
- 11:24Speaker 2: Sunny's as pugsn ing. Yeah, ironically, no Pugs is wearing
- 11:30Speaker 2: the ship out of them.
- 11:31Speaker 1: Then oh, here we go the curious. Oh yeah, right right,
- 11:35Speaker 1: and can.
- 11:36Speaker 2: You answer Mogi's question familiar about the alleyways?
- 11:41Speaker 1: Let is hooker with the penis. This is going to
- 11:44Speaker 1: be my Now we're getting audio.
- 11:46Speaker 2: I don't know if we could play too much of
- 11:47Speaker 2: it on the Poddy because it will get Yeah, well
- 11:52Speaker 2: that'll do you.
- 11:52Speaker 1: But it's a tune people that know they lovely. We
- 11:57Speaker 1: did Breck.
- 11:58Speaker 2: There was a brick alleyway.
- 12:00Speaker 1: Yes, have demo
