- 0:09Speaker 1: Welcome to the favorites presented by draft Kings. The crown
- 0:13Speaker 1: is yours. We are an action network podcast. I'm your host,
- 0:16Speaker 1: Brandon Kravitz joined by the first lady, Kendra Middleton week six,
- 0:20Speaker 1: full breakdown preview. Our official five plays. We will enter
- 0:24Speaker 1: into the contest with our Guest analyst, John Yastrzemski, one
- 0:29Speaker 1: of our favorites. Three and two last week in the contest.
- 0:33Speaker 1: Not bad. Still waiting for that elusive five and O, Kendra.
- 0:36Speaker 1: Our producer said he would do some pretty weird stuff
- 0:38Speaker 1: if we got that. So that is the carrot hanging
- 0:40Speaker 1: at the end of the stick. It is.
- 0:42Speaker 2: And this week is a terrible card, so I don't
- 0:45Speaker 2: feel great about it. But how funny would it be
- 0:46Speaker 2: if it was?
- 0:48Speaker 1: Well, and that's usually the way that it goes. So
- 0:51Speaker 1: the more gross, the better is the way that I
- 0:54Speaker 1: have tried to enter into this NFL wagering endeavor. I
- 0:57Speaker 1: just have to stop betting on the LA Chargers. Otherwise,
- 1:00Speaker 1: I'm going to lose all the money that I have
- 1:04Speaker 1: saved for retirement.
- 1:05Speaker 3: Me and the Patriots.
- 1:06Speaker 1: Yeah, that's on you, Herbert. You are a little, I mean,
- 1:12Speaker 1: I guess not rocking at 100% right now. You had
- 1:14Speaker 1: a busy night last night. What were you up to?
- 1:16Speaker 3: Yeah, I am a little hungover.
- 1:19Speaker 2: I think the two times that I've decided to have
- 1:22Speaker 2: a drink before recording, you guys have somehow sabotaged my
- 1:27Speaker 2: plans by asking me to record early. If this is
- 1:31Speaker 2: a safe space, which I know this is going on
- 1:32Speaker 2: the internet, I literally slept in my makeup last night
- 1:35Speaker 2: so that I could just get up and get on
- 1:37Speaker 2: our show because I went to a charity boxing event
- 1:40Speaker 2: last night.
- 1:41Speaker 3: I took the gays to boxing.
- 1:43Speaker 2: And and it was awesome but i was promised that
- 1:46Speaker 2: there would be dinner there and an open bar there
- 1:49Speaker 2: was only an open bar and no dinner so i
- 1:52Speaker 2: had four drinks on basically an empty stomach um and
- 1:58Speaker 2: i am paying the price for that this morning so
- 2:01Speaker 2: yeah thanks.
- 2:03Speaker 1: Well when you go out it is a pro move
- 2:05Speaker 1: um I would say two before you start eating. That
- 2:11Speaker 1: way you get the most bang for your buck, even
- 2:13Speaker 1: if it's an open bar. If you're going to get
- 2:16Speaker 1: a buzz, get it right. And then you layer the
- 2:19Speaker 1: food on top of it. That way you can kind
- 2:20Speaker 1: of coast the rest of the night. But you went
- 2:22Speaker 1: four and then food. And I think maybe that's why
- 2:27Speaker 1: you were eating quesadillas in the shower or whatever it
- 2:31Speaker 1: is you were doing.
- 2:32Speaker 3: Okay, I ate hot chicken in the shower on Tuesday night.
- 2:34Speaker 3: Thank you. I ate a quesadilla.
- 2:36Speaker 1: I didn't realize that those stories were different. I thought
- 2:38Speaker 1: that was all. I figured those were all meshed together.
- 2:41Speaker 2: I will say I am getting, I'm a little bit
- 2:45Speaker 2: back in my, like I'm not drinking, drinking, don't get
- 2:47Speaker 2: me wrong, but I am having like two or three
- 2:49Speaker 2: drinks like once a week now.
- 2:51Speaker 3: I don't know why, but I just.
- 2:52Speaker 2: Have been very socially drinking lately, but I have gotten
- 2:55Speaker 2: really good at ordering my delivery at the perfect time
- 2:59Speaker 2: for it to beat me home from the subway. So
- 3:01Speaker 2: I literally have been doing this thing where I'm, my
- 3:04Speaker 2: food is like pulling up the second I'm walking up
- 3:07Speaker 2: from the train and And I'm just like, yep, thanks.
- 3:09Speaker 2: And then I get my bed and I eat my
- 3:11Speaker 2: food and me and the dog pass out.
- 3:13Speaker 1: Well, hey, the bets might not be hitting the way
- 3:15Speaker 1: that we want them to, but at least we're doing
- 3:16Speaker 1: something right on this podcast.
- 3:18Speaker 3: At least I'm eating hot chicken in the shower, bitch.
- 3:21Speaker 1: Smooth transition over to Evan Abrams, our stats hound. The
- 3:25Speaker 1: floor is yours. Two minute trends. What you got?
- 3:32Speaker 4: What's up, guys and gals? My favorite thing from this
- 3:35Speaker 4: week is pretty simple. I have a bunch of stuff,
- 3:37Speaker 4: but this one to me, and I've used this on
- 3:39Speaker 4: other shows, but I'm just going to keep saying it
- 3:40Speaker 4: because it's ridiculous. So the Giants and Saints game is
- 3:43Speaker 4: the reason why you just have to stay away. It's
- 3:45Speaker 4: just based off records and lines. So Giants 3-1-1 straight up,
- 3:49Speaker 4: Saints 1-4. New Orleans a slight road favorite, as you
- 3:52Speaker 4: guys mentioned. In the Super Bowl era, we've never seen
- 3:54Speaker 4: a team with a 75-plus win percentage close as a
- 3:57Speaker 4: home underdog. And their sixth game or later, there's a
- 3:59Speaker 4: team with a win percentage of 33% or less. So
- 4:02Speaker 4: just based off of record and the current situation, the
- 4:05Speaker 4: giant term of the backup quarterback, we would just never
- 4:08Speaker 4: have seen this line if the saints do closes road favorites.
- 4:11Speaker 4: But to me, this is an absolute, the, the, the
- 4:14Speaker 4: people setting the lines, all the books, all the models
- 4:16Speaker 4: have no idea, which is why the line kind of
- 4:18Speaker 4: sits where it is.
- 4:19Speaker 1: So I really hope that doesn't end up in the contest.
- 4:24Speaker 4: In terms of just league trends, you guys have talked
- 4:26Speaker 4: about this a little bit, but I think the one
- 4:28Speaker 4: that's interesting is, is this year teams with a rest
- 4:30Speaker 4: advantage have done really well, 13-5 straight up, 13-4-1 against
- 4:34Speaker 4: the spread tied for the second best mark ATS last
- 4:38Speaker 4: 30 years. So teams with a rest spot looking good
- 4:43Speaker 4: so far. I thought that's intriguing. We've talked about backups,
- 4:45Speaker 4: 9-5-1 straight up, 10-5 against the number. Now those are
- 4:50Speaker 4: just backup quarterbacks based off of my model, which is
- 4:55Speaker 4: quarterback comes in for a quarterback that the coach does
- 4:58Speaker 4: not want to start. So like Jameis start would be
- 5:01Speaker 4: starting or like Huntley Lamar situation, Jalen Daniels over Baker,
- 5:06Speaker 4: like all sorts of easy things like that.
- 5:08Speaker 1: Not the, not the, the, not the player who started
- 5:12Speaker 1: week one. I feel like in hindsight, that was, that
- 5:16Speaker 1: was overused by folks in the content space. It was like,
- 5:21Speaker 1: this is the record of, quarterbacks that weren't the week
- 5:24Speaker 1: one starter it's like yeah well one of the week
- 5:27Speaker 1: one starters was cooper rush let's not use to.
- 5:29Speaker 4: Be fair to be fair espn insights espn like tried
- 5:33Speaker 4: to make a story well done great job it came
- 5:35Speaker 4: from them but it's still amazing like backup quarterbacks seem
- 5:38Speaker 4: to be doing well and holding their own i think
- 5:40Speaker 4: it also kind of depends on the backup that comes
- 5:42Speaker 4: in like huntley's very used to the system etc um
- 5:46Speaker 4: anything else on your guys.
- 5:47Speaker 1: Minds Well, we've got some pretty gross dogs this week.
- 5:54Speaker 1: The chargers technically have not covered a spread yet. Is
- 5:59Speaker 1: that right? Oh, four and one, I believe.
- 6:01Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 6:02Speaker 1: Is there any sort of historical significance? And I usually
- 6:07Speaker 1: like backing the chargers as underdogs against the chiefs. It's
- 6:10Speaker 1: something I've been doing for years. Justin Herbert played well.
- 6:15Speaker 1: this is not the same Chargers team. They might have
- 6:18Speaker 1: the same logo and the same quarterback, but it just
- 6:21Speaker 1: feels different. But I don't know if you can walk
- 6:23Speaker 1: me into anything with your trends.
- 6:25Speaker 4: Yeah, I mean, I can look at teams who don't
- 6:27Speaker 4: have a cover entering week six. They're mostly like 55, 56% long-term.
- 6:32Speaker 4: So they are good bets in this spot, especially when
- 6:34Speaker 4: you're going over like key numbers. You're basically at, will
- 6:37Speaker 4: the Chargers keep this a one possession game? Herbert, the
- 6:41Speaker 4: numbers are great, but again, this is a different, team, uh, eight,
- 6:44Speaker 4: two and one against the spread versus the chiefs seven,
- 6:46Speaker 4: two and one against my homes. And that's all because
- 6:49Speaker 4: every time they face them, most of the numbers are inflated. Uh,
- 6:53Speaker 4: it's just, it's a different team now.
- 6:55Speaker 1: I chicken in the shower.
- 6:56Speaker 4: I do not eat chicken in the shower. I do
- 6:58Speaker 4: not eat in the shower. I, I, I have slept
- 7:01Speaker 4: in the shower that was in college passed out, literally
- 7:04Speaker 4: standing up, but I will not be, will not. be
- 7:08Speaker 4: eating in the shower. That's like Kramer.
- 7:10Speaker 1: That's weird.
- 7:10Speaker 3: You guys are crazy.
- 7:11Speaker 2: I was going to say, Evan, I did appreciate how
- 7:15Speaker 2: my gut check of two touchdown scorers made it into
- 7:18Speaker 2: the primer this week.
- 7:19Speaker 3: That made my week. I giggled and kicked my feet
- 7:21Speaker 3: a little bit.
- 7:22Speaker 4: Fantastic. Anything that someone comes up with that makes me
- 7:25Speaker 4: look at something and it's like a record or whatever,
- 7:27Speaker 4: of course it's going in there.
- 7:29Speaker 3: All right.
- 7:31Speaker 1: Hey, send them your DMS. If you've got ideas. Thanks
- 7:33Speaker 1: so much, Evan. We appreciate you. Yeah. More from the

- 8:32Speaker 1: report from Dr. David Chow from Sixscore.com, our go-to source
- 8:36Speaker 1: for injury news, information, and pricing. Doc, welcome back to
- 8:40Speaker 1: the show. A battle of injured quarterbacks on the horizon.
- 8:45Speaker 1: Lamar Jackson, Uh, we've got Michael Penix. We've got Kayla Williams.
- 8:52Speaker 1: We've got all sorts of injured QBs. What are we
- 8:54Speaker 1: looking at with those three in particular? Cause they are
- 8:57Speaker 1: moving lines between the three of them.
- 9:00Speaker 6: Well, on the pro football doc sports injury central podcast,
- 9:03Speaker 6: Sunday night and Monday morning or midday East coast time,
- 9:07Speaker 6: I said, Penix is the most likely to play. Caleb
- 9:11Speaker 6: is likely to play both and they play each other.
- 9:14Speaker 6: They're both positioned to play. And Lamar, not so much.
- 9:19Speaker 6: He's last of the three. He's in the questionable at
- 9:23Speaker 6: best category. Look, Caleb's been full practice. Michael Penix is
- 9:27Speaker 6: hinting he's going to play. Yes, he didn't finish the game,
- 9:30Speaker 6: but it really was more muscle spasm than rib fracture
- 9:34Speaker 6: or cartilage injury. So Penix versus Caleb Williams, that will
- 9:38Speaker 6: be good to go. The Browns game facing the Ravens
- 9:43Speaker 6: is the one that's up in the air. Look, I
- 9:46Speaker 6: am a fan of Lamar. What he does is unbelievable.
- 9:49Speaker 6: This is why I call him, and we missed last week,
- 9:53Speaker 6: my bad. Last week, I was saying he's an F1
- 9:56Speaker 6: race car. He's an Indy car. He's unbelievable. and what
- 10:00Speaker 6: he can do in his high performance and to that
- 10:04Speaker 6: end as an f1 car a little finicky he's got
- 10:08Speaker 6: to be running it closer to 100 he's not f1
- 10:12Speaker 6: pickup truck or humvee josh allen had a great rushing
- 10:17Speaker 6: game this Thursday, but last Thursday, but before that he
- 10:21Speaker 6: had the injured knee leg had five carries, four yards
- 10:24Speaker 6: still played, right? Lamar needs his history is he needs
- 10:29Speaker 6: to be closer to a hundred percent to play.
- 10:31Speaker 1: That's not a bad thing.
- 10:32Speaker 6: Jesse Minter said post game that he could have finished
- 10:36Speaker 6: week four, but didn't, but then missed week five, right?
- 10:41Speaker 6: Ian Rappaport said, He could play week five or it
- 10:44Speaker 6: could be a couple of weeks. So there's always this
- 10:46Speaker 6: happened last year, too. And in the past with Lamar,
- 10:49Speaker 6: this is not a knock on Lamar. This is observation
- 10:52Speaker 6: of patterns. And far be it for me as a
- 10:56Speaker 6: non football player to say when someone is healthy enough
- 10:59Speaker 6: to go, he can play from the pocket. He won't
- 11:03Speaker 6: be fully mobile. Does he play or not play? That's
- 11:06Speaker 6: going to be up to Lamar and the team.
- 11:08Speaker 1: What about Caleb Williams as far as his mobility? Is
- 11:12Speaker 1: that a question mark with his hamstring injury?
- 11:15Speaker 6: You know, I saw his pregame workout last week, which
- 11:18Speaker 6: is why I said, OK, he's good to go. I
- 11:21Speaker 6: don't think the injury is going to be a question mark.
- 11:25Speaker 6: I believe they play in Atlanta. So even if the
- 11:29Speaker 6: roof is open, it's a controlled environment, not the slippery
- 11:32Speaker 6: soldier field where he got the hamstring injury. But I
- 11:35Speaker 6: would imagine the Bears will be more careful, Ben Johnson,
- 11:39Speaker 6: in terms of not putting him in have-to-run situations because
- 11:44Speaker 6: you don't want a setback or aggravation. But he should
- 11:47Speaker 6: be good to go. The game plan may be slightly
- 11:50Speaker 6: different this game just to protect him a little bit,
- 11:53Speaker 6: but he should be good to go.
- 11:55Speaker 2: The Patriots have certainly been getting the short end of
- 11:58Speaker 2: the injury stick after remaining.
- 12:00Speaker 3: Pretty healthy last year.
- 12:01Speaker 5: A.J.
- 12:02Speaker 2: Brown's supposed to come back this week, but my bigger
- 12:04Speaker 2: question is Will Campbell and his injury. What can you
- 12:07Speaker 2: tell us about that?
- 12:09Speaker 6: Will Campbell, by video, has a right knee MCL sprain. Non-surgical,
- 12:14Speaker 6: but a sprain is a tear. It is the same
- 12:17Speaker 6: knee that caused him problems last year, similar injury. And
- 12:22Speaker 6: people talked about the short arms, but it may have
- 12:24Speaker 6: been the knee last year that caused the swoon in
- 12:27Speaker 6: his performance late season and into the Super Bowl. And
- 12:31Speaker 6: with that in mind, I think the Patriots and Will
- 12:34Speaker 6: Campbell are going to be rightfully careful before he returns
- 12:38Speaker 6: this time.
- 12:40Speaker 3: Let's talk about the Eagles as well.
- 12:42Speaker 2: They're also one of the most injured teams in the
- 12:44Speaker 2: NFL right now. They're taking on a Carolina Panthers team.
- 12:47Speaker 2: I'm sure we're going to have a lot of discourse
- 12:49Speaker 2: in our show today about this matchup.
- 12:51Speaker 3: What do you think about their injuries as a whole?
- 12:54Speaker 2: Because I know that you love to kind of look
- 12:55Speaker 2: at units before you go into games. What can you
- 12:58Speaker 2: tell us about their defense and their offense before this matchup?
- 13:02Speaker 6: Well, coming into the season, the Carolina Panthers were the
- 13:04Speaker 6: most injured team in the They've gotten a little bit healthier,
- 13:09Speaker 6: and the Eagles have surpassed them, along with the Washington Commanders.
- 13:13Speaker 6: The only bright spot for the Eagles is Dallas Goddard
- 13:16Speaker 6: is back. Otherwise, you still have Devonta Smith out, Hollywood
- 13:20Speaker 6: Brown out. The O-line issues, some of them aren't injury,
- 13:24Speaker 6: but we call absence essentially injury, right? It's availability is
- 13:29Speaker 6: what injury is. And so when you add in the
- 13:32Speaker 6: injuries they have to Landon Dickerson, the trade, Cam Juergens
- 13:35Speaker 6: slash concussion, He wasn't playing last week anyways in London
- 13:39Speaker 6: and Lane Johnson's retirement.
- 13:41Speaker 1: And then I would.
- 13:42Speaker 6: Argue that the top four running backs for the Eagles
- 13:46Speaker 6: have injury issues or are out. Saquon Barkley, hamstring, still
- 13:51Speaker 6: likely out. Tank Bigsby, IR with core muscle. Will Shipley
- 13:55Speaker 6: with plantar fascia injury. And Jalen Hurts with the calf. Yes,
- 14:00Speaker 6: he's a quarterback. Jalen Hurts, look at his stats last week.
- 14:05Speaker 6: Close game loss. Two carries, two yards and really didn't
- 14:09Speaker 6: tush push. What does that tell you?
- 14:13Speaker 3: That's a really good shout by you, Doc. The other
- 14:16Speaker 3: thing I.
- 14:16Speaker 2: Want to talk about really quickly before I know Kravitz
- 14:19Speaker 2: has some more specific questions for some other matchups. We,
- 14:23Speaker 2: I think, are all in agreement that this Houston Texans
- 14:26Speaker 2: game is going against Jacksonville and London is going to
- 14:29Speaker 2: be the biggest game of their season for them so far.
- 14:32Speaker 2: Their defense pretty much scattered on the injury report. Obviously,
- 14:36Speaker 2: the Jacksonville Jaguars have some massive injuries to their offensive line.
- 14:40Speaker 2: Anton Harrison goes on IR. Do you expect them to
- 14:43Speaker 2: be able to get after Trevor Lawrence? I mean, they
- 14:45Speaker 2: have not been very good at protecting him throughout this
- 14:48Speaker 2: season so far. Do you expect Houston to be able
- 14:50Speaker 2: to capitalize on the shuffle that the Jaguars are playing
- 14:53Speaker 2: on that line?
- 14:54Speaker 6: Yeah, one of the things we do at Sports Injury Central, SICscore.com,
- 14:58Speaker 6: is not only look at injuries, but we look at
- 15:02Speaker 6: matchups as well. I mean, Norv Turner helps us produce
- 15:06Speaker 6: some of these things as well as some other coaches
- 15:08Speaker 6: and other people. And we look at matchups. And we
- 15:13Speaker 6: also look at war, wins against replacement type of baseball stat.
- 15:16Speaker 6: You know, is it a quality left tackle that's coming
- 15:19Speaker 6: in or not? Or is there a shuffle along the
- 15:22Speaker 6: line where the right tackle flips over? And as we
- 15:24Speaker 6: look at this, this is a matchup where Houston hasn't
- 15:28Speaker 6: gotten a lot of pub this year because they finally
- 15:30Speaker 6: won their first game. But if you look at the
- 15:32Speaker 6: stats and performance, Will Anderson is probably a defensive MVP candidate.
- 15:37Speaker 6: Will Anderson for the Texans against a new left tackle here.
- 15:41Speaker 6: So there's something to this matchup advantage to Houston. And yes,
- 15:47Speaker 6: they traded for Marvin Harrison Jr. You know, they're talking
- 15:50Speaker 6: them up, how much they're going to use them. Not sure,
- 15:53Speaker 6: but the bottom line is Nico Collins is the difference maker. And,
- 15:57Speaker 6: you know, obviously with him back, they've been much more productive. Yes,
- 16:02Speaker 6: David Montgomery is out with his groin. It'll be Woody
- 16:05Speaker 6: Marks running the ball.
- 16:08Speaker 1: So you diagnose injuries. You have grades for all of it.
- 16:16Speaker 1: I'm curious how you handle illness because the saints last week,
- 16:20Speaker 1: we found out before the game that the entire team,
- 16:22Speaker 1: most of the team in the locker room is under
- 16:24Speaker 1: the weather. You're not a general practice doctor, but do
- 16:29Speaker 1: you use that in your analysis? If a team isn't
- 16:33Speaker 1: feeling well, and if so, how do you even begin
- 16:36Speaker 1: to grade the sort of impact that that might have
- 16:39Speaker 1: on a football game? Great question.
- 16:42Speaker 6: To be precise, because you guys are always very precise,
- 16:45Speaker 6: I never diagnose anyone because diagnosis would imply that I'm
- 16:49Speaker 6: their doctor and I've examined the patient. I do injury analysis.
- 16:54Speaker 6: You know, Will Campbell has an MCL by analysis. I
- 16:57Speaker 6: haven't examined Will Campbell, for example, or Lamar Jackson, for
- 17:02Speaker 6: that matter. So it's analysis, yes, from afar, video and
- 17:06Speaker 6: assorted information. The illness stuff, the answer to you is
- 17:10Speaker 6: it depends. Look, if they announce an illness on Friday,
- 17:18Speaker 6: you know, it depends on what it is and whatever.
- 17:20Speaker 6: It may not make a difference. I mean, how often
- 17:22Speaker 6: have you been sick on Friday and fine by Sunday, right?
- 17:25Speaker 6: And the team doctors travel with them. There's IVs, all
- 17:29Speaker 6: sorts of medications. Sunday morning outbreaks happen. more spread out
- 17:35Speaker 6: through the team, clustered through certain positions. We start to
- 17:39Speaker 6: put more importance on weather factors if there's dehydration. So
- 17:44Speaker 6: there's just so many things that it's like it's almost
- 17:49Speaker 6: more variable than saying this guy has a high ankle sprain.
- 17:52Speaker 6: How long will he be out? What's the severity of
- 17:54Speaker 6: the high ankle sprain? What position does he play? What
- 17:56Speaker 6: type of player is he? The same thing for illnesses.
- 18:00Speaker 6: What type of illness? What are the symptoms? How far
- 18:03Speaker 6: widespread is it? When is it being reported? What's the
- 18:06Speaker 6: source material? So the analysis isn't as simple as, ooh,
- 18:10Speaker 6: I heard a report that the Saints are injured or ill,
- 18:13Speaker 6: then we should go against the Saints blindly. I think
- 18:17Speaker 6: there's a deeper analysis that we perform.
- 18:20Speaker 1: For sure. And I don't think you ever want to,
- 18:22Speaker 1: shouldn't do anything in the betting world blindly. But I do,
- 18:25Speaker 1: I always wonder that. Am I supposed to care if
- 18:28Speaker 1: Chris Olave is sneezing? Is he throwing up in a bucket?
- 18:31Speaker 1: When I see illness, it covers such a wide ground
- 18:36Speaker 1: that that's got to be really tough. Because when you
- 18:38Speaker 1: hear that and you want to factor that in to
- 18:41Speaker 1: your analysis, you don't know what the illness is. So
- 18:44Speaker 1: that makes it really tough.
- 18:45Speaker 6: Yeah, I mean, in some ways, illness is betting 40
- 18:48Speaker 6: hours ahead of time based on weather, right? You never
- 18:51Speaker 6: know what ultimately it's going to bring. You got to
- 18:54Speaker 6: do a little deeper dive.
- 18:56Speaker 1: What about Ashton Gentry? It seems to me... from my
- 19:00Speaker 1: novice eye like the foot injury is holding him back
- 19:04Speaker 1: I mean maybe the guy's a bust there could be
- 19:07Speaker 1: that as well but he just doesn't seem like he
- 19:09Speaker 1: has the same spring in his step is does his
- 19:11Speaker 1: foot injury is his injury the type of injury that
- 19:16Speaker 1: could diminish his.
- 19:17Speaker 6: Performance absolutely foot ankle knee those are the money makers
- 19:21Speaker 6: for running backs right and shoulder out you can try
- 19:24Speaker 6: and play through but yes it absolutely could be hindering
- 19:27Speaker 6: him I love his attitude. He's lobbying to stay in
- 19:30Speaker 6: and play. There seems to be a word that the
- 19:33Speaker 6: Raiders are saying, let's try and get him right for
- 19:35Speaker 6: the long term. But I love his attitude of the
- 19:38Speaker 6: want to play. So will he play? Won't he play?
- 19:42Speaker 6: How many touches and carries? That's a Clint Kubiak question decision.
- 19:46Speaker 6: He is available to play. What his usage will be
- 19:49Speaker 6: and how effective remains in question. We have him with
- 19:53Speaker 6: a six score in the 80s, meaning that he can perform,
- 19:56Speaker 6: but at a lower rate.
- 19:59Speaker 2: Last question from me before the season started, everybody and
- 20:03Speaker 2: their mom had circled this Cowboys Packers game in primetime
- 20:08Speaker 2: because of Micah Parsons and everyone was under the impression
- 20:10Speaker 2: that he would be good to go by now. What
- 20:12Speaker 2: is going on with this recovery? Is this normal? Is
- 20:15Speaker 2: it crazy for us to feel like why the hell
- 20:18Speaker 2: isn't he playing in this game?
- 20:19Speaker 3: Potentially what's going on with him?
- 20:22Speaker 6: I can definitely say it wasn't everyone because there was
- 20:24Speaker 6: at least one person that said it was going to
- 20:27Speaker 6: be mid-season at best. And from even our preseason energy preview,
- 20:32Speaker 6: and then Micah even started signaling that a little bit.
- 20:36Speaker 6: And then there were reports this week he was going
- 20:38Speaker 6: to open up the practice window, which I thought was early.
- 20:41Speaker 6: And then that got walked back, right? It's always been
- 20:45Speaker 6: a November timeline. TV stories and timelines change. you know
- 20:51Speaker 6: they're great stories but does it really you know schedule
- 20:55Speaker 6: makers and the whole thing it doesn't always work out
- 20:58Speaker 6: remember just recently all the hype about monday night football
- 21:02Speaker 6: atlanta new orleans 20-year reunion katrina rematch and the emotions
- 21:08Speaker 6: and everything else and the big play and it ended
- 21:10Speaker 6: up being the bijan robinson's game the bijan robinson story
- 21:14Speaker 6: right and And none of that Katrina pregame stuff mattered
- 21:17Speaker 6: at all. So there's TV stuff and there's reality. I
- 21:20Speaker 6: don't think it was ever reality that Parsons was going
- 21:23Speaker 6: to play in this game.
- 21:24Speaker 1: I love the analysis. And that right there is something
- 21:28Speaker 1: everyone who's listening to this or watching this needs to
- 21:31Speaker 1: understand the difference between the stories that you hear on
- 21:34Speaker 1: the pregame show and the reality of betting these sports.
- 21:37Speaker 1: There is a gap there. And we like chatting with you, Dr. Chow,

- 22:04Speaker 1: Thanks again. Thanks for having me. Let's welcome in this
- 22:08Speaker 1: week's guest picker, John Yastrzemski, the mayor of New York city.
- 22:12Speaker 1: Are you guys over the sting of getting bounced by
- 22:14Speaker 1: the rays up there? I would assume there's some sick
- 22:17Speaker 1: pleasure in seeing the Dodgers struggle from afar as well.
- 22:21Speaker 5: Well, that is accurate. I couldn't deal with the idea
- 22:23Speaker 5: of the Dodgers being the first team to three Pete
- 22:26Speaker 5: since the loves of my life the 90s new york
- 22:29Speaker 5: yankees with cheater bernie o'neill i mean i could go
- 22:32Speaker 5: on and on but as far as the sting is
- 22:35Speaker 5: concerned from the yankees losing a race guys i was
- 22:38Speaker 5: at yankee stadium i saw them lose on wednesday night
- 22:40Speaker 5: it was like over it then it's like okay if
- 22:42Speaker 5: we're gonna keep doing the same thing year after year
- 22:45Speaker 5: it's very very difficult to have like this sort of
- 22:49Speaker 5: anger and sort of like lingering feeling going into days
- 22:52Speaker 5: upon days so.
- 22:56Speaker 3: Do you think that you guys would be more pissed?
- 22:59Speaker 5: One.
- 23:00Speaker 3: Do you think that's good?
- 23:02Speaker 5: That is a very good question.
- 23:03Speaker 1: Kendra. Yes.
- 23:06Speaker 5: It probably would be more pissed, but I think they're
- 23:09Speaker 5: like totally unrelated. Cause I think the Yankee failures of
- 23:12Speaker 5: like the last decade, they're kind of like in a,
- 23:16Speaker 5: on an Island by themselves. Like they, they just are
- 23:19Speaker 5: like New York's been a little sneak bit after the
- 23:23Speaker 5: Nick championship, like losing judge, losing dart, Those have been major,
- 23:27Speaker 5: major bummers. But like, no, I think the Yankee fan
- 23:30Speaker 5: looks at it and it's like, yeah, thank God for
- 23:32Speaker 5: the Knicks. But at the same time, it's like we
- 23:35Speaker 5: keep doing the same thing year after year. Nothing changes.
- 23:39Speaker 5: So we can't really be getting ourselves too worked up.
- 23:41Speaker 5: And promise me, next year, they won't make changes. We'll
- 23:44Speaker 5: be having the exact same conversation next year. Mark my words.
- 23:47Speaker 1: So you haven't been on in a couple of weeks.
- 23:49Speaker 1: Do you want to give us a quick State of
- 23:51Speaker 1: the Union on how your NFL betting is going over
- 23:54Speaker 1: the last couple of weeks? Have you been up, down?
- 23:56Speaker 1: How are you feeling going into week six?
- 23:58Speaker 5: Yeah, it's funny you mention that, Brandon, because I didn't
- 24:00Speaker 5: join you guys last week. I felt amazing about the card,
- 24:03Speaker 5: and I would say it treated me pretty well. New
- 24:06Speaker 5: England was a really strong play. Pittsburgh against Indianapolis was
- 24:10Speaker 5: a really strong play. I feel like I got away
- 24:13Speaker 5: with one with San Francisco over Seattle. And unfortunately, I
- 24:16Speaker 5: was on the wrong end of that Rand Bill game.
- 24:19Speaker 5: Nice coaching, Sean McVay. I mean, my goodness. Settling for
- 24:22Speaker 5: a 48-50 yard field goal with a kicker you can't
- 24:25Speaker 5: count on. Absolute insanity. Here's the problem, though, gang. You
- 24:30Speaker 5: guys had me back this week. We got to get
- 24:32Speaker 5: in the lab. We got to find winners. That's our job.
- 24:35Speaker 5: No excuses. Play like a champion. This card is super
- 24:38Speaker 5: tough this week. I don't know if you guys felt
- 24:40Speaker 5: this way going into your prep. It is a very,
- 24:43Speaker 5: very difficult card.
- 24:45Speaker 3: I agree with you. We were talking about this kind
- 24:47Speaker 3: of in our pre-show.
- 24:48Speaker 2: I went back and the games that I even kind
- 24:51Speaker 2: of remotely was looking at, I went and watched their
- 24:54Speaker 2: games back last week and I didn't feel any better
- 24:57Speaker 2: even doing the homework, doing the research. Like I just,
- 25:00Speaker 2: this card is yucky, way too sharp. Feel like I
- 25:02Speaker 2: have one or two things that I like. I think
- 25:04Speaker 2: I only even have three bets booked in the app
- 25:07Speaker 2: for the entire week so far.
- 25:08Speaker 3: And by now, usually I'm done.
- 25:10Speaker 1: Yeah. I was slaughtered last week. I'm sorry to hear that.
- 25:13Speaker 1: Come on. I need to come back.
- 25:15Speaker 5: And give you some positivity here. I'm rubbing some juju
- 25:18Speaker 5: on you as we speak. Come on.
- 25:20Speaker 1: Andrew and Emerson dragged me out of the mud. We
- 25:22Speaker 1: were three and two in the contest. So let's press on.
- 25:24Speaker 1: Let's see if we can find some winners this week.
- 25:30Speaker 2: Just pick something already.
- 25:32Speaker 3: If you don't like it, you can just veto it.
- 25:35Speaker 1: Thursday night football Seahawks Broncos Broncos catching two and a
- 25:40Speaker 1: half at home total sitting at 40 and a half
- 25:43Speaker 1: to an O this season when the Broncos are on
- 25:46Speaker 1: the home field at mile high Seattle's off that heartbreaker
- 25:49Speaker 1: to the San Francisco 49ers. Does Seattle bounce back here
- 25:53Speaker 1: or does another underdog take everybody's money in primetime Kendra?
- 25:59Speaker 2: I am really nervous about the Seahawks injuries. I think
- 26:03Speaker 2: the Broncos might get a little bit more right this week.
- 26:06Speaker 2: I don't think we don't think Sertan is going to
- 26:08Speaker 2: play this week.
- 26:09Speaker 5: Right.
- 26:09Speaker 3: I'm very much.
- 26:10Speaker 2: Yeah, I don't think so. I just Seattle with the
- 26:13Speaker 2: turnovers is what concerns me. Like is Sam Darnold turning
- 26:17Speaker 2: back into the pumpkin that he was like? That's that's
- 26:20Speaker 2: kind of my concern here. The Broncos, I know you
- 26:22Speaker 2: were really high on them heading into this season, Kravitz,
- 26:25Speaker 2: and I know that they have kind of been up
- 26:27Speaker 2: and down, but this feels after how last week went
- 26:30Speaker 2: for Seattle, I'm not really willing to put my money
- 26:32Speaker 2: on them just because I'm concerned about the turnovers. I
- 26:35Speaker 2: really think that we might be watching Sam Darnold turn
- 26:37Speaker 2: back into himself.
- 26:38Speaker 5: I understand that concern, Kendra. And the fact that this
- 26:42Speaker 5: line is a very juicy, tantalizing two and a half.
- 26:46Speaker 3: You're going to say Broncos at home, aren't you?
- 26:48Speaker 5: No, I actually was going to go... The opposite. I
- 26:51Speaker 5: think the Broncos have been incredibly, incredibly fortunate to win
- 26:55Speaker 5: these last couple of games. If Harbaugh wasn't a moron,
- 27:00Speaker 5: the way that game was going, this is why to me,
- 27:03Speaker 5: and listen, I'm always team go for it, right? Like
- 27:06Speaker 5: I'm not one of these guys that's like, oh, you
- 27:08Speaker 5: gotta kick, you gotta take the points, you gotta punt,
- 27:10Speaker 5: you gotta play field position. I consider myself very new age.
- 27:14Speaker 5: That said, Denver offensively could not do a damn thing
- 27:20Speaker 5: in that game last Sunday. You have to understand game script.
- 27:25Speaker 5: The decision to try to go for that fourth down
- 27:28Speaker 5: in your own territory with the way that game was going,
- 27:30Speaker 5: I thought was certifiably insane. I thought it handed Denver
- 27:34Speaker 5: a cover. And here's the problem I have with going
- 27:36Speaker 5: with the Broncos this week. Mike McDonald is such a
- 27:39Speaker 5: damn good head coach. Like, he's the best defensive mind,
- 27:43Speaker 5: in my opinion, in the NFL. It's him and Brian Flores.
- 27:45Speaker 5: Take your pick. You're telling me Bo Nix... is going
- 27:49Speaker 5: to be able to do the bone X where he
- 27:51Speaker 5: does nothing for two and a half quarters and is
- 27:53Speaker 5: going to come alive against Mike McDonald's defense injuries or not. I,
- 27:57Speaker 5: for one, can't see it. I've been, I was on
- 28:01Speaker 5: the Broncos too. Preseason. I haven't won a division. I'm
- 28:05Speaker 5: they were a dark horse Superbowl team for me with
- 28:08Speaker 5: the way their offense is playing. It is not sustainable.
- 28:11Speaker 5: That's why I don't think it's sustainable in this matchup.
- 28:13Speaker 5: I like Seattle.
- 28:14Speaker 3: Are you not worried about Seattle's ability to run the ball?
- 28:17Speaker 2: Because that's kind of my concern is that if Sam
- 28:20Speaker 2: Darnold does look like that, they can not run the football.
- 28:25Speaker 5: It's fair concern. And that's why I think they're beating
- 28:27Speaker 5: you a little bit with this two and a half line.
- 28:29Speaker 5: I just, this game seems gross though. Doesn't it Kravitz?
- 28:34Speaker 1: It definitely does. I mean, that's a great way to look.
- 28:37Speaker 1: I have a horrendous history with betting totals in the NFL.
- 28:40Speaker 1: So I tend not to do that, but, Bo Nix,
- 28:42Speaker 1: 14 and six against the spread at home in his career.
- 28:47Speaker 1: So this is where you back Nix. And you mentioned the, the,
- 28:50Speaker 1: the comebacks with a lead. I was looking at the,
- 28:53Speaker 1: the Bo Nix stats when he has a lead 50%
- 28:56Speaker 1: completion rate, zero touchdowns this year when he's trailing 59%
- 29:02Speaker 1: completion rate, six touchdowns. So even when you're behind with
- 29:06Speaker 1: Bo Nix is disgusting as it is. you still feel
- 29:10Speaker 1: pretty good. And I agree with Kendra Seattle's inability to
- 29:14Speaker 1: run the ball makes it. So not only does, does
- 29:16Speaker 1: Bo Nix have this propensity to come back, it's hard
- 29:19Speaker 1: to hold onto leads when you can't run the football effectively.
- 29:22Speaker 1: So even if Seattle jumps out in front early, I'm
- 29:24Speaker 1: still going to like the Broncos. I bet the Broncos
- 29:27Speaker 1: two and a half logged it in the app last night.
- 29:29Speaker 1: I am on Denver here. It's not strong enough to
- 29:33Speaker 1: be one of my nominations, but I do like the
- 29:34Speaker 1: Denver Broncos.
- 29:35Speaker 2: Can I add two things here? One, Seattle has the
- 29:39Speaker 2: Chiefs on deck. I don't think that the Broncos are
- 29:41Speaker 2: someone you obviously can look past, but they have.
- 29:43Speaker 3: A harder schedule ahead.
- 29:45Speaker 2: Next week, the Broncos have the Cardinals, so they can
- 29:48Speaker 2: put all of their energy into this game. So I
- 29:50Speaker 2: don't hate the look, don't love it enough to put
- 29:51Speaker 2: it in the contest. But if I'm not mistaken, Evan
- 29:53Speaker 2: also had in the primer underdogs during Thursday night, or
- 29:57Speaker 2: I don't know if it was primetime or Thursday night,
- 29:59Speaker 2: are also performing quite well, if I'm not mistaken.
- 30:01Speaker 1: Primetime underdogs have been insane.
- 30:04Speaker 5: What is it, like 10 or 11 straight?
- 30:06Speaker 1: It's crazy.
- 30:07Speaker 2: So I think if we can't come to consensus somewhere else,
- 30:11Speaker 2: I would consider us having a longer conversation about this.
- 30:15Speaker 2: But where these two teams are at right now and
- 30:17Speaker 2: where we're at in our contest, I don't think I'm
- 30:19Speaker 2: willing to do that.
- 30:20Speaker 5: This is a pass for me. One note on this game, though. Gang,
- 30:25Speaker 5: you guys hit on the Bronco team. Cravey, isn't this
- 30:28Speaker 5: a game you sit back, wait for Seattle, go up
- 30:30Speaker 5: 10-0 and hammer the Broncos? I mean, the books is
- 30:33Speaker 5: sooner or later going to catch up on this, but
- 30:35Speaker 5: I mean, the Broncos play the same game every week.
- 30:38Speaker 5: I know. I know.
- 30:39Speaker 1: I just do. My fear is this is going to
- 30:41Speaker 1: be the one game where the Broncos actually score first.
- 30:43Speaker 1: And then I'm going to be kicking myself. So understandable
- 30:46Speaker 1: that if that's your strategy, but here's the thing. And
- 30:49Speaker 1: this is what I would remind anybody out there that
- 30:50Speaker 1: walks in. I think having a live betting strategy pregame
- 30:54Speaker 1: is the sharpest way to live bet, but you have
- 30:58Speaker 1: to be willing to stick to it, which means if
- 30:59Speaker 1: you're going to do that and the Broncos go down
- 31:02Speaker 1: the field and RJ Harvey runs one in, then you're out.
- 31:05Speaker 1: You're you can't force, you can't force a play after that.
- 31:09Speaker 1: So you have to be willing to stick with it.
- 31:11Speaker 1: I'll take the Broncos pregame of plus two and a half.
- 31:13Speaker 1: We'll leave it off to the side. We do have
- 31:15Speaker 1: a great history. When we've put Thursday night games into
- 31:18Speaker 1: the contest, I'm pretty sure we're unbeaten.
- 31:21Speaker 5: We are.
- 31:21Speaker 1: So it's something to consider.
- 31:22Speaker 5: Oh, okay.
- 31:23Speaker 4: We are good.
- 31:24Speaker 1: We are good.
- 31:25Speaker 5: Even on the other side of you guys.
- 31:27Speaker 3: It's only because Kravitz is disgusting. That's literally why.
- 31:30Speaker 1: Hey, listen.
- 31:31Speaker 5: Thursday night football now all of a sudden is a
- 31:33Speaker 5: little bit more easy on the eyes. You know, Amazon's
- 31:35Speaker 5: got some better matchups now. It's not like it used
- 31:38Speaker 5: to be. You know, it's not like the classic Jag
- 31:41Speaker 5: Titans from the old days. I can't say that anymore.
- 31:44Speaker 2: Did you enjoy watching Thursday night football the other night?
- 31:47Speaker 2: I mean, I guess it was fine, but it was not.
- 31:50Speaker 2: It was shitty good football.
- 31:51Speaker 5: Yeah, okay.
- 31:53Speaker 1: Good enough for me. I don't care what it is.
- 31:55Speaker 3: I would have been for that game in July.
- 31:59Speaker 1: A reminder for those out there or for those that
- 32:01Speaker 1: are new to the show, we nominate five plays that
- 32:04Speaker 1: we put into our DraftKings contest. So we will come
- 32:07Speaker 1: to some form of consensus on five plays. It's usually
- 32:10Speaker 1: a struggle, but I will nominate two. Kendra will nominate two.
- 32:14Speaker 1: JJ gets our fifth and final choice. And we have
- 32:18Speaker 1: vetoes that we can use along the way. Question for
- 32:22Speaker 1: you guys. Sorry to interrupt, Brandon. What's the record right now?
- 32:26Speaker 3: Not good.
- 32:27Speaker 1: It's not great. I, I, I would, I would have
- 32:30Speaker 1: to defer to production on the overall record. I've just
- 32:33Speaker 1: been trying to turn around.
- 32:35Speaker 5: Okay. The fact that we don't know offhand is all
- 32:37Speaker 5: I need to know. Okay.
- 32:39Speaker 1: We had a rough start, but we have, we have
- 32:41Speaker 1: had a couple of winning. We had a four in
- 32:42Speaker 1: one week. We've had a couple of three and two,
- 32:44Speaker 1: so it's not horrendous, but we'll have production double check that.
- 32:49Speaker 1: But yeah, better than.
- 32:50Speaker 5: Me in the circuit contest right now. Talk about an
- 32:52Speaker 5: annual donation. My goodness.
- 32:54Speaker 1: We need a five and oh, let's go to London.
- 32:57Speaker 1: The Texans taken on the Jacksonville Jaguars, Houston back on
- 33:01Speaker 1: track after a beat down of the Tennessee Titans, the
- 33:03Speaker 1: Jags parked in London. Kendra, is that enough of an
- 33:08Speaker 1: advantage to get us to the window? We were sort
- 33:10Speaker 1: of implying on Monday's episode that we were going to
- 33:12Speaker 1: be in on the Houston Texans. So I'm curious where
- 33:15Speaker 1: you are now.
- 33:16Speaker 3: I unfortunately do think that this is a Houston game.
- 33:19Speaker 2: I know quite well how the Jaguars stay in London.
- 33:23Speaker 2: And usually, like I went into last week, that second game,
- 33:26Speaker 2: the last time they played back-to-backs there was the year
- 33:29Speaker 2: they opened with the Chicago Bears.
- 33:31Speaker 3: The Bears beat the shit out of them two years ago.
- 33:32Speaker 2: And then they played the Patriots and they beat the
- 33:34Speaker 2: shit out of the Patriots. My fear is that Their
- 33:38Speaker 2: entire offensive line basically has an injury designation now, and
- 33:42Speaker 2: they are the second worst in the league at allowing
- 33:45Speaker 2: pressure on the quarterback.
- 33:46Speaker 3: So I really don't think.
- 33:50Speaker 2: That this is a great week to back the Jacksonville
- 33:52Speaker 2: Jaguars coming off of a beyond emotional win with that defense.
- 33:57Speaker 2: And I know that Houston is really, really banged up.
- 33:59Speaker 2: I really understand that. But I just if anybody can
- 34:04Speaker 2: get after Trevor divisional game, I really think that Jacksonville
- 34:08Speaker 2: Jaguars fans are kind of out on the London game.
- 34:11Speaker 2: I actually would like to pat myself on the back
- 34:14Speaker 2: because I was a girl's girl this week and did
- 34:16Speaker 2: not get on a fight on the Internet because some
- 34:18Speaker 2: Eagles fan girl was like, Well, yeah, you guys might
- 34:22Speaker 2: have won the game, but where are all your fans? Girl,
- 34:24Speaker 2: we've been going there for 13 years. We're over it.
- 34:27Speaker 2: We've been there, done that.
- 34:28Speaker 3: It's special for you. It's unique for you. That's why
- 34:30Speaker 3: you guys are going out there. That's cute. But I
- 34:32Speaker 3: don't think Jags fans are going to show up for
- 34:33Speaker 3: that reason. And I think Houston.
- 34:35Speaker 2: Fans will is because it's like shiny and new and
- 34:37Speaker 2: it's like a vacation for them.
- 34:38Speaker 3: And Jags fans just don't care anymore to go over there.
- 34:41Speaker 2: So that's another concern of mine is after hearing how
- 34:43Speaker 2: loud the Eagles crowd was last week. But I really
- 34:46Speaker 2: think that this is going to come down to the
- 34:48Speaker 2: fact that all of the offensive line is injured and
- 34:52Speaker 2: Anton Harrison goes on IR and the secondary pretty much
- 34:55Speaker 2: all has an injury designation except for Travis.
- 34:57Speaker 3: So I'm worried about Jacksonville this week.
- 34:59Speaker 2: This very much feels like a Houston get right spot
- 35:02Speaker 2: in division.
- 35:03Speaker 5: Oh baby. Let's take it a step further. Sorry, Kendra
- 35:06Speaker 5: Houston's winning this game. This is a team that's used
- 35:10Speaker 5: to slow starts and the betting market kind of told
- 35:13Speaker 5: you a week ago that They see a turnaround for
- 35:17Speaker 5: the Texans because like you looked at the 0-4 teams
- 35:22Speaker 5: and their playoff odds, like the Chargers, they were like 12-1,
- 35:25Speaker 5: something along those lines. Houston at 0-4 last week was
- 35:30Speaker 5: a plus 250 something to make the playoffs, which is
- 35:33Speaker 5: insane because 0-4 teams plus 250 something, that doesn't make sense.
- 35:37Speaker 5: The books are kind of buying a market correction. You
- 35:40Speaker 5: hit on beat up line. Houston defense, they're starting to
- 35:45Speaker 5: find their footing. And Stratton has actually played well in
- 35:48Speaker 5: a bunch of these games, played well in the Buffalo game.
- 35:50Speaker 3: No interceptions.
- 35:51Speaker 5: Played well in the Cowboy game.
- 35:53Speaker 1: Like, C.J.
- 35:54Speaker 5: Stratton was not the reason the Houston Texans were 0-4.
- 35:57Speaker 5: Game needs a little bit more to them, a little
- 35:59Speaker 5: bit more of a sense of desperation, a little bit
- 36:02Speaker 5: of a letdown for the Jaguars. I mean, that's a
- 36:04Speaker 5: game that pulled out of thin air, for goodness sakes.
- 36:06Speaker 5: You know, thank you, Nick Sirianni. I do not like
- 36:10Speaker 5: Jacksonville here in this spot. I'm ready. Can I make
- 36:12Speaker 5: Houston a nomination? Cause I'm willing to don't even bother.
- 36:15Speaker 1: Don't even bother wasting it because we have full consensus here.
- 36:19Speaker 1: So this doesn't need to be an official nomination from anybody.
- 36:23Speaker 1: Save that because we all like the Houston Texans here.
- 36:26Speaker 1: You said that the game is a little bit more
- 36:28Speaker 1: important to Houston. It's a lot more important to Houston.
- 36:31Speaker 1: Houston has the most at stake this weekend for any
- 36:34Speaker 1: team in the NFL. They have a 29.9%. playoff probability
- 36:40Speaker 1: swing based on if they lose or if they win,
- 36:43Speaker 1: if they lose this game, their chance to make the
- 36:45Speaker 1: post-season is 17%. If they win their chance to make
- 36:49Speaker 1: the post-season is 47%. That is massive. This is a
- 36:53Speaker 1: playoff game for the Houston Texans. And you add on
- 36:57Speaker 1: all of the injury concerns, the long snapper, they're like
- 37:00Speaker 1: ordering long snappers off Etsy. What, but Please the most
- 37:04Speaker 1: penalized team in the NFL right now.
- 37:06Speaker 2: Jacksonville Jaguars is don't even talk shit about him.
- 37:10Speaker 3: He's a pro bowler.
- 37:12Speaker 1: We were trying to be Kumbaya on the Houston Texans.
- 37:16Speaker 1: And you still have to come out and swing for
- 37:17Speaker 1: the Jags.
- 37:18Speaker 2: I'm going to be fucking insufferable. I'm going to be
- 37:20Speaker 2: running laps around this bitch.
- 37:22Speaker 5: I think you should be. Listen, it's the sort of
- 37:24Speaker 5: game for Jacksonville. If they do find a way to win.
- 37:28Speaker 5: It's like, holy smokes, are they representing the AFC in
- 37:30Speaker 5: the Super Bowl? Like, I think that's the conversation you're having.
- 37:33Speaker 2: I will be like running into jumping into the pool outside.
- 37:36Speaker 1: All right, Texans plus two and a half is in
- 37:39Speaker 1: the contest officially. Let's move to the Jets and the Patriots.
- 37:42Speaker 1: Both teams off of a win here. The Patriots seem
- 37:45Speaker 1: like they're completely back on track. They should get Gonzo
- 37:48Speaker 1: back this week. AJ Brown back in the lineup. Potentially
- 37:51Speaker 1: the Patriots are rolling. I kind of like the Jets though, Kendra.
- 37:56Speaker 3: Yeah, the Jets.
- 37:57Speaker 2: I mean, you guys, I got a lot of crap
- 37:59Speaker 2: at the beginning of the season for loving the Jets
- 38:01Speaker 2: this year, and they've been covering the spread.
- 38:04Speaker 3: It's in division. What is it in the contest? Is
- 38:07Speaker 3: it seven and a half?
- 38:07Speaker 5: Seven and a half.
- 38:09Speaker 3: I don't mind the touchdown.
- 38:10Speaker 2: But my fear is that the Patriots are finally rolling.
- 38:14Speaker 2: They do have a lot of injury designations. I should
- 38:16Speaker 2: not get any say in what we do with this
- 38:18Speaker 2: because I can't do anything with.
- 38:20Speaker 3: Or against the Patriots, but A.J.
- 38:22Speaker 4: Brown.
- 38:22Speaker 2: from the press conferences that i have listened to with
- 38:25Speaker 2: mike vrabel this week should be available will campbell big
- 38:28Speaker 2: question mark i think that that's going to be the
- 38:30Speaker 2: difference maker in this game i i don't know if
- 38:34Speaker 2: he's going to play or not but he has been
- 38:35Speaker 2: limited in practice but once again secondary also decimated but
- 38:40Speaker 2: that doesn't matter when you're playing the.
- 38:41Speaker 5: Jets cravy i understand why you like the jets the
- 38:44Speaker 5: lines move two points however Do you know anything about
- 38:48Speaker 5: the history with the Jets and the Patriots over the
- 38:50Speaker 5: last 25 years? Like, dude, it's a bloodbath any time
- 38:55Speaker 5: the Patriots see that Jet uniform. Vrabel had the glimmer
- 38:58Speaker 5: in his eye the way Belichick used to have the
- 39:01Speaker 5: glimmer in his eye, like sticking it to and embarrassing
- 39:04Speaker 5: the Jets every which way imaginable. And I had the
- 39:07Speaker 5: Jets last week. It was not a pleasurable experience against
- 39:11Speaker 5: the Browns. Win's a win. You take it any which
- 39:14Speaker 5: way you can. If the Browns don't go and botch
- 39:17Speaker 5: that punt, I think Cleveland wins the game. Geno Smith
- 39:22Speaker 5: can't move. Gonzalez comes back and locks down Garrett Wilson.
- 39:27Speaker 5: AJ Brown is probably going to play I don't see
- 39:32Speaker 5: it man I don't like you want to tell me
- 39:35Speaker 5: we're not getting in on the pads because hey like
- 39:38Speaker 5: this line at seven and a half we're moving against
- 39:42Speaker 5: the market here okay, I'd sit this one out. It's
- 39:45Speaker 5: pass or pass for me. There's just too much history
- 39:49Speaker 5: for the Jets in that building for me to say, hey,
- 39:51Speaker 5: they're going to go and play a competitive game. I
- 39:52Speaker 5: got to see it to believe it.
- 39:54Speaker 1: I'm not going to be spooked by the Brady-Belichick era, okay? Yeah,
- 39:57Speaker 1: but what about.
- 39:58Speaker 5: The Vrabel era last year? They're both games that were bloodbaths.
- 40:02Speaker 6: Yes.
- 40:03Speaker 1: And, and maybe the trend continues, but I'm not going
- 40:06Speaker 1: to use Brady Belichick analysis here. I respect it, but
- 40:09Speaker 1: I'm not using that. The jets are oh, and six
- 40:12Speaker 1: against the spread against the AFC East since the start
- 40:14Speaker 1: of last season. So it's not just new England. It's
- 40:17Speaker 1: everybody that they struggle against. Not a strong enough play
- 40:21Speaker 1: for me to slam my fist on the table with
- 40:23Speaker 1: a nomination. So we will just let it. We'll just
- 40:27Speaker 1: let it.
- 40:28Speaker 5: We're moving on.
- 40:29Speaker 2: I do like, I was going to say, I don't
- 40:31Speaker 2: dislike the jets because of how they've been covering. But
- 40:34Speaker 2: my question is, I don't think that they do well
- 40:38Speaker 2: on the road, just from my limited memory of the
- 40:41Speaker 2: season so far.
- 40:42Speaker 5: Well, they beat Tennessee who cares. And they got smoked
- 40:46Speaker 5: by Beijing and the bears and Detroit. They actually performed offensively.
- 40:51Speaker 5: They came alive in the second half, but you know,
- 40:53Speaker 5: when you play Detroit, you got to play some defense.
- 40:55Speaker 5: They play no defense. So, We shall see.
- 40:58Speaker 1: Is their defense good? Cause that's going to be, I mean,
- 41:00Speaker 1: right now they are top 16 in terms of success rates. So,
- 41:05Speaker 1: I mean, they're like right in the middle of the pack,
- 41:07Speaker 1: but Drake may. So this is one of the things
- 41:09Speaker 1: I was looking at is why has may been so
- 41:11Speaker 1: good the last couple of weeks. And he, and he
- 41:13Speaker 1: doesn't have AJ Brown Travion Henderson might miss this game
- 41:16Speaker 1: as well. I don't like that. May has been great
- 41:19Speaker 1: with a clean pocket, both of the teams that he's
- 41:23Speaker 1: played the last two weeks. bottom seven in defensive success rate,
- 41:28Speaker 1: the Raiders and the Buffalo bills. If he's clean, he's good.
- 41:32Speaker 1: I just wonder if the jets are going to be
- 41:34Speaker 1: able to get.
- 41:34Speaker 3: After him with Will Campbell, not playing.
- 41:38Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 41:39Speaker 1: With running back issues, not being able to lean on
- 41:41Speaker 1: the run, which is already an issue is going to
- 41:43Speaker 1: become more of an issue with their arguably the best
- 41:46Speaker 1: offensive lineman out. That's how, that's what has me tilting
- 41:50Speaker 1: the way of the jets, but the history certainly tells
- 41:52Speaker 1: you to go in a different direction.
- 41:54Speaker 2: I know we need to move on quickly, but can
- 41:56Speaker 2: I just say the price for an A.J. Brown anytime
- 42:00Speaker 2: for a first week back from an injury at even
- 42:02Speaker 2: money feels disgusting.
- 42:04Speaker 1: Yeah, no, not doing that.
- 42:06Speaker 5: Hard pass, hard pass.
- 42:08Speaker 1: Let's go to the Ravens and the Browns. Browns plus
- 42:12Speaker 1: five and a half. Buying either side of this really
- 42:15Speaker 1: comes down to what you think about the health of
- 42:16Speaker 1: Lamar Jackson. He has not been ruled in as of
- 42:19Speaker 1: this discussion. Browns at home catching nearly six. is quite
- 42:24Speaker 1: appealing though, especially if this ends up being Tyler Huntley. Kendra,
- 42:28Speaker 1: what do you think?
- 42:29Speaker 3: Is it five and a half in the contest?
- 42:30Speaker 1: It is five and a half in the contest. So
- 42:34Speaker 1: we'll get five and a half, no matter if we
- 42:36Speaker 1: take it, no matter which way this goes with Lamar.
- 42:39Speaker 2: From what I've heard, it does feel like Lamar is
- 42:41Speaker 2: going to play, which does not make me feel good
- 42:44Speaker 2: about this. If it were Tyler Huntley, I would say
- 42:46Speaker 2: that we should take the money and run, especially because
- 42:48Speaker 2: it's Cleveland at home. But if Lamar is going to
- 42:53Speaker 2: play and Trey Hendrickson is back and Quinshawn Judkins is
- 42:56Speaker 2: not practicing, I don't want anything to do with this.
- 42:59Speaker 1: Titus Howard, their offensive tackle could be out for this
- 43:02Speaker 1: game as well. I think the line is indicating Lamar
- 43:04Speaker 1: at like 75 to 80 percent. And I think this
- 43:08Speaker 1: goes up to seven or at least six and a
- 43:11Speaker 1: half if Lamar plays. And at that point, I would
- 43:14Speaker 1: love the Browns, but.
- 43:16Speaker 3: It's not going to move in the contest. It won't
- 43:18Speaker 3: move in the contest.
- 43:19Speaker 1: And that's where I just, I don't know that I
- 43:21Speaker 1: can endorse that. But, John, what do you think?
- 43:23Speaker 5: What do you guys make of the Todd Munkin factor? Remember,
- 43:27Speaker 5: Todd Munkin, the old coordinator of the Baltimore Ravens. I
- 43:31Speaker 5: know John Harbaugh is no longer the head coach, but
- 43:33Speaker 5: you're still talking about either Lamar or Hundley. Had Derrick Henry.
- 43:39Speaker 5: Don't we maybe think, hey, a little insider trading, insider
- 43:43Speaker 5: info for the Browns? Listen. The Browns offensively looked disgusting
- 43:47Speaker 5: last week against the Jets. That was a bad weather game.
- 43:50Speaker 5: You might want to put some stock in that. The
- 43:53Speaker 5: problem is we're probably not getting the best of the number,
- 43:55Speaker 5: to Kendra's point, if Lamar Jackson plays here. But it's
- 44:00Speaker 5: Browns or pass for me. Don't love the game. Not
- 44:02Speaker 5: one of my favorites of the week. Browns or pass
- 44:04Speaker 5: is to play.
- 44:05Speaker 2: Can I also highlight that Denzel Boston and Casey Concepcion
- 44:09Speaker 2: were both limited in practice this week?
- 44:12Speaker 5: That's a problem.
- 44:13Speaker 3: For the question mark that.
- 44:14Speaker 2: Is Deshaun Watson in the first place and having your
- 44:17Speaker 2: weapons injured and your running back injured, no, can't do it.
- 44:24Speaker 1: The case for the Browns is that they're at home.
- 44:26Speaker 1: House of horrors for opposing teams, especially as home dogs
- 44:32Speaker 1: against the AFC North. The Browns have covered six straight.
- 44:36Speaker 5: Wow.
- 44:36Speaker 1: Since the middle of the 2024 season.
- 44:39Speaker 5: And that's what Sanders or frigging Dylan Gabriel playing quarterback
- 44:42Speaker 5: for you. And a lot of those.
- 44:44Speaker 1: Matchups doesn't matter. They just cover at home. So it
- 44:48Speaker 1: is to me, it's Browns or nothing. We'll leave it
- 44:50Speaker 1: at nothing for right now. Very curious to see how
- 44:53Speaker 1: you guys feel about this one. Cause I've kind of
- 44:55Speaker 1: oscillated throughout the week. Steelers bucks in Tampa, Tampa's plus
- 45:00Speaker 1: two and a half. It is two and a half
- 45:01Speaker 1: in the contest. But how about this? You talk about
- 45:04Speaker 1: the history of the Jets and the Patriots, much more
- 45:06Speaker 1: well-documented than the history of the Bucs and the Steelers.
- 45:09Speaker 1: But the Bucs are 2-10 all-time against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
- 45:14Speaker 1: The worst win percentage against any opponent in the Tampa
- 45:18Speaker 1: Bay Buccaneers history. They have not performed well against this
- 45:23Speaker 1: organization for whatever reason. But do we back Jalen Daniels
- 45:26Speaker 1: for a second consecutive week, Kendrick?
- 45:29Speaker 2: Do we think that they're also kind of in the
- 45:32Speaker 2: club of coming off of too emotional of a win?
- 45:34Speaker 3: Because I almost do.
- 45:36Speaker 2: Did you guys see Todd Bowles drop to his knees?
- 45:40Speaker 3: At the end of that game on the field. Like
- 45:42Speaker 3: he knew that if he didn't.
- 45:44Speaker 1: No, no, no, no. That was, he got hit with
- 45:45Speaker 1: a helmet. That was not, that was not an emotion.
- 45:47Speaker 1: That was not emotional. Did he get hit with a helmet? Yeah,
- 45:51Speaker 1: he got hit. So he got hit in the stomach
- 45:52Speaker 1: and that's why he, he didn't drop because he was,
- 45:54Speaker 1: he was like, oh my God, what a fucking game.
- 45:56Speaker 5: No, it wasn't a Halloween moment.
- 45:58Speaker 3: Oh my God, no, I literally saw that.
- 45:59Speaker 5: It was more a moment of pain and suffering.
- 46:00Speaker 3: And I, like, heard, like, the choir music, like, coming through.
- 46:04Speaker 1: One of the players was running off the field celebrating.
- 46:06Speaker 1: He got clocked in the stomach with a helmet. But
- 46:09Speaker 1: I do agree with the point, though, is that I
- 46:12Speaker 1: don't trust Todd Bowles off of a win. And I
- 46:15Speaker 1: lean the way of the Steelers.
- 46:17Speaker 3: I don't trust Aaron Rodgers either, though. Like, I just... And.
- 46:23Speaker 5: Guys, this is an icky, icky spot for the Steelers.
- 46:27Speaker 5: This is a game, other than the history of the
- 46:29Speaker 5: Steeler-Buccaneer rivalry, if you want to call it that, Brandon.
- 46:32Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean, that was more of a fun anecdote.
- 46:35Speaker 1: Not a reason to take either side.
- 46:37Speaker 5: I know, I know, I know. You guys all have
- 46:40Speaker 5: been working with me for a couple weeks, so maybe
- 46:41Speaker 5: you didn't pick up on the sarcasm. It's okay. I
- 46:44Speaker 5: like taking the Steelers when they're dogs. I like taking
- 46:47Speaker 5: the Steelers when they're at home. The Steelers laying a
- 46:51Speaker 5: small number on the road like this. is as ratty
- 46:54Speaker 5: as it gets. That said, to Kendra's point, the Buccaneers
- 46:59Speaker 5: just had their win, their season-saving win against the Cowboys,
- 47:03Speaker 5: gets them back in the lowly NFC South. It would
- 47:06Speaker 5: be rather on brand for them to go and lay
- 47:09Speaker 5: an absolute stinker. Guys, it's Steelers to pass, though. They're
- 47:13Speaker 5: the better team. They're better coached. Rodgers, to his credit,
- 47:17Speaker 5: has played well this year. There's no way in the
- 47:19Speaker 5: world I'm backing the Bucs in this spot. It's Steelers
- 47:21Speaker 5: or nothing for me.
- 47:23Speaker 2: Let me give you an injury update. Rico Dottle was limited.
- 47:25Speaker 2: Cameron Hayward didn't practice. Jalen Ramsey didn't practice. TJ Watt
- 47:29Speaker 2: was limited. Chris Godwin didn't practice. Winfield didn't practice. Wirfs
- 47:33Speaker 2: wasn't a full participant, though. Does that change your mind
- 47:35Speaker 2: about any of that? Because for the Steelers, it makes
- 47:37Speaker 2: me feel a little.
- 47:39Speaker 5: Well, when TJ Watt doesn't play, their defense is not
- 47:42Speaker 5: the same.
- 47:42Speaker 1: We all know that.
- 47:44Speaker 5: He has to play.
- 47:44Speaker 1: He's going to play. 13 pressures on the season, four
- 47:47Speaker 1: and a half sacks. He is going to be a
- 47:49Speaker 1: problem for Jalen Daniels. He alone presents an issue. For
- 47:53Speaker 1: undrafted rookie quarterback that the Cowboys just simply didn't offer.
- 47:57Speaker 1: I think they'll actually have a defensive game plan, which
- 48:00Speaker 1: the Cowboys clearly did not going into that game on
- 48:03Speaker 1: Thursday night. Daniels looked so good, so composed, but the
- 48:07Speaker 1: Steelers are going to be their defense hasn't been great
- 48:10Speaker 1: this year, but they're going to be able to rattle
- 48:11Speaker 1: him in ways that the Cowboys weren't. Now, the Bucs
- 48:14Speaker 1: defense has been really good. Fifth in success rate this year,
- 48:16Speaker 1: second against the run, where I think the Steelers have
- 48:19Speaker 1: an advantage, though, is that they don't need to run
- 48:21Speaker 1: the football to have success with their running backs. Jalen
- 48:24Speaker 1: Warren has been the second best receiving back in the
- 48:28Speaker 1: NFL behind Jameer Gibbs this year. And I think that
- 48:31Speaker 1: that styles clash plus Todd Bowles off of a win
- 48:34Speaker 1: is them being able to get Jalen Warren loose in
- 48:37Speaker 1: the short passing game will keep Rodgers on time and
- 48:40Speaker 1: on schedule. I just think this is too much for
- 48:43Speaker 1: Tampa Bay.
- 48:43Speaker 5: So this makes it a low-key maybe nomination for the Steelers.
- 48:47Speaker 3: Yeah, I would go Steelers. I would go Steelers. I
- 48:49Speaker 3: would do that just because I hate this card so much.
- 48:53Speaker 5: I can easily be convinced. I would have fought back
- 48:56Speaker 5: if it were the Buccaneers and you guys were trying
- 48:58Speaker 5: to make that case.
- 49:00Speaker 1: That one is in for now. But if somehow we
- 49:03Speaker 1: land on four others that we love more, we'll pop
- 49:06Speaker 1: it out.
- 49:06Speaker 5: But right now, we got the Texans, too.
- 49:09Speaker 1: We have. Yeah, right. We have the Texans plus two
- 49:11Speaker 1: and a half. We have the Steelers minus two and
- 49:13Speaker 1: a half. Let's move to the Titans and the Colts.
- 49:16Speaker 1: Colts minus seven. It's six and a half in the contract.
- 49:20Speaker 1: I have very little interest in this game. The Titans
- 49:23Speaker 1: offense has struggled all year. Cam Ward appears to be
- 49:25Speaker 1: regressing and the Colts are laying seven points. I mean, no,
- 49:29Speaker 1: thank you on, on either quite frankly.
- 49:34Speaker 2: If we got a little luckier and pulled a seven
- 49:36Speaker 2: and a half in the contest, I would probably take
- 49:38Speaker 2: a bite of the Titans.
- 49:39Speaker 3: But I also want nothing to do with a six
- 49:41Speaker 3: and a half, especially the way that the Colts played
- 49:44Speaker 3: last week.
- 49:45Speaker 2: I think that this might be a get right spot
- 49:47Speaker 2: for them against a bad team. I know that the
- 49:49Speaker 2: division is, you know, kind of shrinking for them. But
- 49:54Speaker 2: this just is ass football on ass football. I do
- 49:57Speaker 2: have the Titans to cover, but I don't like. Personally,
- 50:01Speaker 2: but I don't want to put it in the contest
- 50:02Speaker 2: because I don't feel.
- 50:03Speaker 3: Great about it.
- 50:04Speaker 2: I forgot to mention, I do have Trevor Lawrence's over
- 50:07Speaker 2: 12 and a half rushing yards when we were talking
- 50:10Speaker 2: about that for anybody who would like to tell.
- 50:13Speaker 5: How many teasers and parlays are going to have the Colts?
- 50:17Speaker 5: They're just going to throw them in all of every
- 50:20Speaker 5: single one of them. Which leads me to believe we
- 50:22Speaker 5: should be on the Tennessee Titans here.
- 50:24Speaker 1: This is a survivor contest play for the lucky few
- 50:28Speaker 1: that still remain.
- 50:29Speaker 5: That are still in it. My mom and dad, I
- 50:31Speaker 5: wish I could say the same.
- 50:33Speaker 1: Your mom and dad are still in it?
- 50:35Speaker 5: They're in a pool, like 250 people. I don't even
- 50:38Speaker 5: know what their science has been, but I feel like
- 50:40Speaker 5: whatever their two money line parlays are, whatever their money
- 50:44Speaker 5: line picks are, I should just be parlaying them every week.
- 50:47Speaker 5: and just seeing how long I can take this.
- 50:49Speaker 1: I think we're bringing the wrong Yastrzemski onto the show.
- 50:53Speaker 5: Oh, my mother would love to come on. I don't
- 50:55Speaker 5: know what analysis she'd be getting, but you never know. Guys,
- 50:58Speaker 5: I can't lay seven or seven and a half points
- 51:00Speaker 5: with the Colts. I know Cam Ward has been atrocious.
- 51:03Speaker 5: I know Robert Sala is one of the worst coaches
- 51:05Speaker 5: in the league. I know Tennessee can't block, and they're
- 51:07Speaker 5: a hot mess. You want to go and lay seven
- 51:10Speaker 5: or seven and a half with this Colt team? That's
- 51:12Speaker 5: been very underwhelming on defense. Daniel Jones doesn't have the
- 51:17Speaker 5: same mobility. They kicked a zillion field goals against the Steelers,
- 51:21Speaker 5: not laying margin. It's a stay away. Again, it speaks
- 51:25Speaker 5: to the gross factor of the card. Titans are passed,
- 51:28Speaker 5: but I'd prefer not to put this in our place.
- 51:31Speaker 1: Yes, I'm okay. I am comfortable. Well, comfortable is probably
- 51:35Speaker 1: a stretch, but I would be able to at least
- 51:37Speaker 1: rubber stamp the idea of Titans plus seven if somebody
- 51:41Speaker 1: out there wanted to bet it. You cannot lay seven
- 51:44Speaker 1: points with the Colts. That's a dumb idea.
- 51:47Speaker 2: If we can't get consensus somewhere else, but I don't
- 51:50Speaker 2: think that.
- 51:52Speaker 1: And we're not getting seven in the contest. Now, Jonathan
- 51:54Speaker 1: Taylor is minus 300 to score a touchdown, which made
- 51:56Speaker 1: me giggle. Speak about things that are going to be
- 51:59Speaker 1: ending up in some parlays this week. Jonathan Taylor to
- 52:02Speaker 1: pop one in. Let's move to the Panthers and the Eagles.
- 52:04Speaker 1: Eagles are one and a half point dogs. Now they're
- 52:08Speaker 1: one and a half point favorites in the contest. So
- 52:10Speaker 1: a little bit of a flip throughout the course of
- 52:12Speaker 1: the week. An NFL rarity, we have a team coming
- 52:15Speaker 1: off of an international game in Philadelphia, taking on a
- 52:20Speaker 1: team coming off of a bye week. This has only
- 52:22Speaker 1: happened four times ever. The team coming off of the
- 52:25Speaker 1: international game is 0-4. How do we not back? Bryce
- 52:33Speaker 1: Young and the Carolina Panthers.
- 52:34Speaker 5: I think it's very simple. I think it's very simple.
- 52:37Speaker 5: Can I jump in here immediately? Yeah. Because Bryce Young
- 52:40Speaker 5: is usually awful in these spots on the road. Absolutely awful. Now,
- 52:46Speaker 5: I need to see what the Eagle injury report looks
- 52:49Speaker 5: like before I'm betting this game. Like, is Devontae Smith playing? That,
- 52:55Speaker 5: to me, is a huge part of the calculus. What's
- 52:57Speaker 5: Saquon Barkley's deal? Carolina, as good as they looked, and
- 53:03Speaker 5: they were good to us. I think we had them
- 53:04Speaker 5: two weeks ago when they played the Lions. We were
- 53:06Speaker 5: all over that.
- 53:07Speaker 2: Carolina has made this podcast more money than probably any
- 53:10Speaker 2: other team over the last two years.
- 53:12Speaker 5: Yeah, but here's the problem with them, gang. They're great
- 53:16Speaker 5: to take when they're dogs. They're great to take it home.
- 53:20Speaker 5: They're not so great to take when they go on
- 53:22Speaker 5: the road. I know everything about, hey, international game, coming
- 53:26Speaker 5: off a bye. The line has flipped. the Eagle defense
- 53:33Speaker 5: against Bryce Young reeks of a problem here in this spot.
- 53:38Speaker 5: It just does.
- 53:39Speaker 1: This defense has been underwhelming this year. I just keep
- 53:41Speaker 1: waiting for them to pop, and they're not. And if
- 53:46Speaker 1: the Panthers' offense remains hot, how can Philadelphia keep up?
- 53:52Speaker 1: with that putrid attack that they have. Now, Evan shared this,
- 53:57Speaker 1: 5-18-1 against the spread first half.
- 54:00Speaker 5: Evan saw that. It's worse than I thought it was,
- 54:03Speaker 5: to be honest with you guys. But don't you feel
- 54:05Speaker 5: like this when you watch Carolina and Bryce Young? They're
- 54:08Speaker 5: so great taking at home, and they're so great taking
- 54:10Speaker 5: when you're getting points. It's just not a team that's
- 54:13Speaker 5: in the circle of trust now to go and lay
- 54:15Speaker 5: points on the road, and the Eagles need a win here.
- 54:20Speaker 1: But to be clear, we are getting them as dogs.
- 54:23Speaker 1: So that is part of the analysis here, is that
- 54:26Speaker 1: I think at plus one and a half now, being
- 54:28Speaker 1: able to lock that into the contest is worth a play. Kendra,
- 54:31Speaker 1: what do you think?
- 54:32Speaker 3: Let's put our thinking caps on here for a second.
- 54:37Speaker 3: The Eagles....
- 54:39Speaker 2: What do we expect management wise for their injuries, considering
- 54:45Speaker 2: they play the Cowboys on Monday night football next week?
- 54:48Speaker 2: I think they probably go conservative here. Rest people think
- 54:52Speaker 2: that they are playing the old Carolina Panthers. and save
- 54:56Speaker 2: bodies for a Monday night football against the Cowboys. But
- 54:59Speaker 2: that is just my personal opinion. I don't, I don't
- 55:02Speaker 2: think that Bryce Young gets up in these spots. I
- 55:05Speaker 2: think that this is going to be too much. Those
- 55:06Speaker 2: Eagles fans are going to be rabid after last week.
- 55:09Speaker 2: So I don't love the spot for Bryce Young, but
- 55:12Speaker 2: I wonder just projecting the injury management for next week,
- 55:18Speaker 2: what that could look like.
- 55:23Speaker 1: Do you have the schedule in front of you? Are
- 55:25Speaker 1: the Panthers at home next week against the Catholics?
- 55:28Speaker 5: I'll pull it up right now.
- 55:29Speaker 3: The Panthers are at home against the Bucs.
- 55:31Speaker 5: Wow, that's impressive, Kendra.
- 55:32Speaker 1: You got that fast. Yeah, okay.
- 55:37Speaker 5: This is just not a Carolina spot to me, Krabby.
- 55:40Speaker 5: It's not a Carolina spot.
- 55:41Speaker 1: I get the idea of now people love the Panthers.
- 55:45Speaker 1: This is when we shouldn't back them. I cannot overlook
- 55:49Speaker 1: the extra prep against a team that's coming back from
- 55:52Speaker 1: London that can't score points against an offense that's thriving
- 55:55Speaker 1: right now. And it's not fluky. Bryce Young looks great.
- 55:59Speaker 1: And it's not just him making magic happen out of nothing.
- 56:03Speaker 1: Ted McMillan looks like he's a stud. No doubt. I mean,
- 56:06Speaker 1: he's uncoverable right now. So I think that their, their
- 56:09Speaker 1: offensive success is very real.
- 56:11Speaker 2: Do we think that this is the type of game, though,
- 56:14Speaker 2: where Sirianni is probably coaching for his job? Like if
- 56:17Speaker 2: you get blown out by the Carolina Panthers.
- 56:19Speaker 5: We're leaning in that direction. And here's what we got
- 56:21Speaker 5: to figure out with the Eagles. There is going to
- 56:24Speaker 5: come a point in the year if games like this
- 56:26Speaker 5: continue and the losses pile up. They've won so many
- 56:30Speaker 5: games over the last four or five years where like
- 56:33Speaker 5: you kind of come to a point where like the
- 56:35Speaker 5: guys in that locker room are like, you know, it's
- 56:37Speaker 5: just it's not our year. Kind of like what we
- 56:39Speaker 5: saw with Kansas City last year. When they lost a
- 56:42Speaker 5: bunch of course games, they kept getting overvalued by the
- 56:46Speaker 5: market because, hey, it's Kansas City. It's Patrick Mahomes. They're
- 56:50Speaker 5: going to find a way. And then they don't. Maybe
- 56:54Speaker 5: Philadelphia is that team this year. But I'm just not
- 56:56Speaker 5: ready yet to buy in on that. Let's put it
- 57:00Speaker 5: this way. Gang, this is a show-me game for Carolina.
- 57:02Speaker 5: Carolina wants to show me, hey, we're not just going
- 57:05Speaker 5: to be kings of a woeful NFC South and we
- 57:08Speaker 5: actually can be a factor here. Let me go see
- 57:12Speaker 5: it on the road.
- 57:13Speaker 1: So the Eagles have not been good bounce back candidates
- 57:16Speaker 1: since the start of last year, Eagles have played two
- 57:18Speaker 1: games directly after blowing a halftime lead of seven plus
- 57:22Speaker 1: points in their previous game. The Eagles lost both games
- 57:26Speaker 1: outright scoring under 20 points each. And that does not
- 57:29Speaker 1: sound like a trend plucked out of thin air by
- 57:32Speaker 1: our good friend, Evan Abrams. That is very on brand
- 57:35Speaker 1: with what we've seen. This is Eagles team is a
- 57:37Speaker 1: front runner in terms of when they have success, they
- 57:40Speaker 1: build off of it. And then when the vibes are bad,
- 57:43Speaker 1: they're really bad. And it is ugly in Philadelphia right now.
- 57:48Speaker 3: I won't veto you if that's what you want.
- 57:51Speaker 2: But I will say, I don't think that the Panthers
- 57:54Speaker 2: have had a prove it game yet so far this season.
- 57:58Speaker 3: They did beat the Lions, but the Lions cannot play defense.
- 58:01Speaker 5: And that was a primetime game at home. Kendra, totally
- 58:04Speaker 5: different spot.
- 58:05Speaker 3: They did lose to the Browns, which is crazy.
- 58:07Speaker 2: They beat the shit out of the Falcons, who did
- 58:10Speaker 2: not have an identity at the time, and they lost
- 58:12Speaker 2: to the Bears. So if your only prove it game
- 58:15Speaker 2: was against a Lions defense that hasn't really been able
- 58:19Speaker 2: to do shit all year, I will buy into Bryce
- 58:22Speaker 2: Young long term after this. I still love the value
- 58:25Speaker 2: that we got on our MVP bet, but I do
- 58:27Speaker 2: agree that this is the prove it moment.
- 58:30Speaker 1: I'm not going to use this as my official nomination.
- 58:34Speaker 5: I'm glad crabby. Cause the veto was coming out.
- 58:36Speaker 6: If you did.
- 58:37Speaker 1: Yeah. I kind of felt it and I cannot have,
- 58:41Speaker 1: I can't have one of the, one of my other
- 58:43Speaker 1: picks vetoed. So maybe, you know what, maybe I should
- 58:47Speaker 1: have made, I should have made you, I should have
- 58:49Speaker 1: made you waste it. Now I've not, I'm not, I'm
- 58:52Speaker 1: not using game theory. Let's move on. I wasted an
- 58:55Speaker 1: opportunity right there. Saints at giants, giants plus one and
- 58:59Speaker 1: a half. Again, a line flip is minus one and
- 59:03Speaker 1: a half in the contest. The Giants off of the
- 59:05Speaker 1: ugliest finish known to man. The Saints have been horrendous
- 59:09Speaker 1: the last couple of weeks.
- 59:10Speaker 5: Weeks.
- 59:10Speaker 1: Chris Alave is still sick. Who knows who else is
- 59:13Speaker 1: dealing with the bugs still in the Saints locker room.
- 59:16Speaker 1: This is a game where both sides feel like the
- 59:19Speaker 1: wrong side to me. They just both feel like terrible plays.
- 59:24Speaker 3: I could not agree more.
- 59:26Speaker 2: I feel like the Giants have gotten so... I want
- 59:29Speaker 2: to know what Nick Giffen's luck rankings are for freaking
- 59:31Speaker 2: Jameis Winston and these Giants.
- 59:33Speaker 3: Let me tell you.
- 59:34Speaker 2: Because I feel like it is time for the Magic
- 59:38Speaker 2: to kind of run out. But the thing for me
- 59:41Speaker 2: here about the Saints, and I don't want anything to
- 59:43Speaker 2: do with this game. Don't get me wrong. The Saints
- 59:46Speaker 2: play really bad at home. I think that the Saints
- 59:48Speaker 2: play really bad in general. I think that that's fair
- 59:50Speaker 2: to say. But they're worse at home. So it almost
- 59:52Speaker 2: is like relieving for me that they're getting away from
- 59:56Speaker 2: the super, is it.
- 59:56Speaker 3: The super dumb? Is that what it is?
- 59:58Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 59:59Speaker 2: Just how do you play so poorly in such an
- 1:00:02Speaker 2: electric environment? And I just, I don't think that I'm
- 1:00:06Speaker 2: ready to, there were points last week and I know
- 1:00:09Speaker 2: that the giants got, that was like the luckiest game
- 1:00:11Speaker 2: that they're going to have all year long. But there
- 1:00:13Speaker 2: were points where I was sitting on my couch saying,
- 1:00:15Speaker 2: where the fuck.
- 1:00:16Speaker 3: Is JJ McCarthy? And, And if you said that.
- 1:00:18Speaker 2: To me two weeks ago, I would have probably been like,
- 1:00:21Speaker 2: there's no way that I would say that.
- 1:00:22Speaker 3: But here we are.
- 1:00:23Speaker 5: Well, I was the opposite, Kendra. I was losing my
- 1:00:26Speaker 5: mind seeing JJ McCarthy come in and run scat plays,
- 1:00:30Speaker 5: especially when Jameis Winston in the second half of the game,
- 1:00:33Speaker 5: as bad as he was in the first half, Second half,
- 1:00:36Speaker 5: he was like the maestro. He was conducting a symphony
- 1:00:39Speaker 5: for goodness sakes. Because that's who he is. This is why, gang.
- 1:00:43Speaker 5: I'm throwing a nomination out there. I'm on the Saints.
- 1:00:46Speaker 5: You want to know why I'm on the Saints? This
- 1:00:48Speaker 5: is not sustainable for the Giants. I know Harbaugh's pulling
- 1:00:50Speaker 5: games out of his rear end, the Cardinal game, the
- 1:00:54Speaker 5: Titan game. I don't know if it was a good
- 1:00:56Speaker 5: tie or a bad tie. That was the debate in
- 1:00:58Speaker 5: New York all week. Explain to me how this New
- 1:01:01Speaker 5: Orleans team, at one and four, as lousy, as rotten
- 1:01:05Speaker 5: as they have looked, at home against the Vikings, getting
- 1:01:08Speaker 5: smoked by Atlanta two weeks ago, is laying points in
- 1:01:11Speaker 5: this spot. I think the odds makers are onto something here.
- 1:01:15Speaker 5: This is not sustainable for Jameis Winston. A Jameis Winston
- 1:01:18Speaker 5: stinker is coming. I want to be on the right
- 1:01:21Speaker 5: side of this. And I vow, I am not taking
- 1:01:24Speaker 5: the Saints for at least a month if they don't
- 1:01:27Speaker 5: go and cover this spread. Because I had them on
- 1:01:29Speaker 5: Sunday against the Vikings. I had them against the Raiders
- 1:01:32Speaker 5: a couple weeks ago.
- 1:01:33Speaker 1: They owe me.
- 1:01:35Speaker 5: They're going to owe me right now.
- 1:01:37Speaker 3: Are you not worried about the injuries?
- 1:01:38Speaker 5: A little bit. But why are they favored in this game?
- 1:01:42Speaker 5: Explain this to me. This line doesn't make any sense.
- 1:01:46Speaker 2: The Giants, I will say, do have a very, very
- 1:01:49Speaker 2: tough look ahead spot here, which is another reason that
- 1:01:53Speaker 2: I don't have enough meat in the game this week
- 1:01:55Speaker 2: to really like care that much. But they have the
- 1:01:57Speaker 2: Texans next week and then the Eagles on deck and
- 1:02:00Speaker 2: then they play the Commanders and the Jaguars. So this
- 1:02:02Speaker 2: could be somewhere that they're like, all right, it's the Saints,
- 1:02:04Speaker 2: like not going to play.
- 1:02:06Speaker 5: And the Saints have to have this game. Their owners
- 1:02:08Speaker 5: are already speaking out, bashing the team, saying how pathetic
- 1:02:11Speaker 5: we've looked.
- 1:02:12Speaker 3: They're just so hurt.
- 1:02:13Speaker 5: Light a little fire. Come on, Saints, let's go.
- 1:02:15Speaker 3: They're so hurt.
- 1:02:16Speaker 1: A lot of that is illness-related, though, and they dealt
- 1:02:20Speaker 1: with the thick of that last week, so they should
- 1:02:22Speaker 1: be healthier at the least from what they were a
- 1:02:27Speaker 1: week ago. They burned me bad, John. That was part
- 1:02:29Speaker 1: of the reason I had a horrendous week five was
- 1:02:32Speaker 1: I was all in. on the saints. I feel so
- 1:02:40Speaker 1: burned by them, but I'm, I'm comfortable with it. And
- 1:02:43Speaker 1: you get one that you can throw into the contest
- 1:02:45Speaker 1: that we cannot veto. This is it. And I love
- 1:02:48Speaker 1: a little CLV. We got the saints plus one and
- 1:02:50Speaker 1: a half in the contest. The line has flipped. So
- 1:02:54Speaker 1: I love that. We will have the saints in there
- 1:02:57Speaker 1: right now. We've got three of our five Texans plus
- 1:03:00Speaker 1: two and a half Steelers minus two and a half.
- 1:03:02Speaker 1: Saints plus one and a half, some tight spreads.
- 1:03:04Speaker 5: We are going on nominations from you two. Let's go here.
- 1:03:08Speaker 1: Falcons bears the Falcons at home here. The cap on
- 1:03:12Speaker 1: this one starts with the quarter X Atlanta's Michael Penix
- 1:03:15Speaker 1: dealing with a rib injury while Caleb Williams could potentially
- 1:03:19Speaker 1: be returning from a three game absence with a hurt hamstring.
- 1:03:23Speaker 1: I'm a little worried about mobility when it comes to
- 1:03:26Speaker 1: Caleb Williams. The Falcons have been getting after the passer.
- 1:03:29Speaker 1: with a pretty high frequency Atlanta ranks top 10 in
- 1:03:32Speaker 1: pressure rate in the NFL and Bijan Robinson should have
- 1:03:36Speaker 1: a game against these Chicago bears. So, and also for
- 1:03:40Speaker 1: what it's worth, we get the Falcons plus three and
- 1:03:43Speaker 1: a half. If we put them in the contest. Now
- 1:03:44Speaker 1: we played this game last week where we went, Ooh,
- 1:03:47Speaker 1: a nice contest number and still got burned against the
- 1:03:50Speaker 1: Baltimore Ravens. So Kendra, what do we do with this one?
- 1:03:55Speaker 2: This is one of the games that I did a
- 1:03:56Speaker 2: lot of research for and went back and watched games.
- 1:04:01Speaker 2: I just don't think that I am willing to play
- 1:04:04Speaker 2: the quarterback guessing game for a Bears-Falcons matchup. I wanted
- 1:04:11Speaker 2: to be on the Bears, but I don't want to
- 1:04:13Speaker 2: play that game. I don't want to play that game,
- 1:04:16Speaker 2: quite frankly.
- 1:04:17Speaker 5: I think it's totally understandable, especially if you like Atlanta.
- 1:04:22Speaker 5: And all of a sudden, I got to see the
- 1:04:24Speaker 5: Hawaiian lefty coming out of the bullpen. Wasn't it refreshing
- 1:04:29Speaker 5: on Sunday night? Maybe not for you guys because you
- 1:04:31Speaker 5: had Atlanta. I had Baltimore to actually be the beneficiary
- 1:04:36Speaker 5: of some stupidity from my old pal Tua. I mean, Tua, dude,
- 1:04:41Speaker 5: time to hit the golf course with your boy, JJ.
- 1:04:43Speaker 5: It's time. You're done. The arm is shot. like betting
- 1:04:48Speaker 5: on to uh you get what you deserve we don't
- 1:04:51Speaker 5: know if it's going to be two it is too
- 1:04:52Speaker 5: much uncertainty right now hard pass on this game if
- 1:04:55Speaker 5: i had to play it chicago if.
- 1:04:57Speaker 1: I had to agree agree both of these injuries too
- 1:05:01Speaker 1: are are the type of injuries that can pop back
- 1:05:03Speaker 1: up very quickly so even if we get pennix versus
- 1:05:06Speaker 1: caleb williams a hamstring and ribs i mean we've seen
- 1:05:09Speaker 1: those re-aggravated How many times over the course of our football,
- 1:05:12Speaker 1: watching lives pass on that one, let's go to the
- 1:05:14Speaker 1: four o'clock. So we've got some time to make up here.
- 1:05:17Speaker 1: Cardinals Rams, Rams minus 12 and a half. This is
- 1:05:20Speaker 1: a Ram smash spot. They need this. They need to
- 1:05:23Speaker 1: win this game. This team cannot fall to two and four.
- 1:05:26Speaker 1: Now that doesn't help us as far as the points
- 1:05:29Speaker 1: we have to lay here. So anyone want to double-digit
- 1:05:33Speaker 1: division dog in their portfolio this week. This is another game.
- 1:05:37Speaker 1: I promise I have strong nominations. They're all deep down
- 1:05:41Speaker 1: the board here, but this is not one for me.
- 1:05:43Speaker 5: Yeah, guys, I can't get on board with this game. Normally,
- 1:05:45Speaker 5: I like the Cardinals in these spots, Kendra, when they're
- 1:05:47Speaker 5: getting like 11 or 12 points. Rams can't be messing
- 1:05:51Speaker 5: around here. Like, they can't be messing around. Now, they
- 1:05:54Speaker 5: could go and play a C game and win by 10,
- 1:05:57Speaker 5: and then you go and cover the number, but it's
- 1:05:59Speaker 5: Rams or pass for me.
- 1:06:01Speaker 3: Yeah, Rams are passed for me.
- 1:06:02Speaker 2: The Cardinals just feel like they have kind of gone
- 1:06:05Speaker 2: a little belly up with the trade and them having
- 1:06:08Speaker 2: six starters not practicing, two others limited in practice.
- 1:06:12Speaker 3: Too many question marks. And you know what?
- 1:06:15Speaker 2: The Rams, considering how inconsistent they've been, they're relatively healthy.
- 1:06:19Speaker 2: They need this win. I don't love that it's in division.
- 1:06:22Speaker 2: I think that that's why I don't want to get
- 1:06:23Speaker 2: to the big number is specifically because it's in division.
- 1:06:26Speaker 3: I have the under in the game.
- 1:06:28Speaker 2: Personally but I don't I don't love this game and
- 1:06:30Speaker 2: if you have stronger nominations elsewhere I'll take them.
- 1:06:32Speaker 1: Yep I do like the Rams first quarter minus three
- 1:06:36Speaker 1: and a half I think this is going to be
- 1:06:37Speaker 1: ugly from the outset this Rams team is desperate and
- 1:06:40Speaker 1: Aaron Donald should eat against this offensive line let's move
- 1:06:43Speaker 1: to the Chargers and the Chiefs Chiefs minus eight and
- 1:06:47Speaker 1: a half total at 42 and a half Chiefs off
- 1:06:49Speaker 1: the buy we always love Andy Reid off of a
- 1:06:52Speaker 1: buy taking on the lifeless listless LA chargers. The chargers
- 1:06:57Speaker 1: have lost eight straight games on the money line dating
- 1:07:00Speaker 1: back to last season. This team simply cannot be trusted
- 1:07:05Speaker 1: with your funds.
- 1:07:06Speaker 5: I have lost.
- 1:07:09Speaker 1: An undesirable amount of money betting on the chargers.
- 1:07:14Speaker 5: I can't do it.
- 1:07:16Speaker 1: I'm off. They are. They are. If I had one
- 1:07:19Speaker 1: team in bet prison, it is the LA chargers.
- 1:07:22Speaker 5: And that's why I'm so glad that you brought this up.
- 1:07:25Speaker 5: Everything gang about my gambling instincts said last week, the
- 1:07:28Speaker 5: charges are the right side in the game. And you
- 1:07:30Speaker 5: know what I said to myself? I can't do it.
- 1:07:32Speaker 5: Can't do it. Can't do it. And when I watch
- 1:07:34Speaker 5: horrible at the end of the game and I watched
- 1:07:36Speaker 5: the fraud Herbert throw the interceptions and I know they
- 1:07:39Speaker 5: have a zillion injuries and I feel for my guy, McDaniel,
- 1:07:41Speaker 5: we wear the pants the same way we roll them up.
- 1:07:44Speaker 5: We look cool. It's a mess. We're not betting the
- 1:07:47Speaker 5: charges here. No way. No, how it's chiefs or pass. Yeah.
- 1:07:52Speaker 3: Chiefs off a buy. Can't, can't get away from those
- 1:07:55Speaker 3: statistics with Andy Reed.
- 1:07:57Speaker 5: Evan's like, get on the charges. Evan friends. Don't let
- 1:08:00Speaker 5: friends bet the charges. And I know they cover in
- 1:08:02Speaker 5: this spot a lot against Kansas city, right? Crabby friends.
- 1:08:06Speaker 5: Don't let friends bet.
- 1:08:06Speaker 3: Prove it.
- 1:08:07Speaker 6: Prove it.
- 1:08:08Speaker 3: What have you done for me lately?
- 1:08:09Speaker 1: I can't do it. Can't do it. Let's go. Let's
- 1:08:14Speaker 1: go to the bills and the Raiders.
- 1:08:16Speaker 3: I know what's coming here and I'm going to hate it.
- 1:08:19Speaker 1: Bill's fresh off of an overtime win on Raiders. Just
- 1:08:26Speaker 1: got shellacked by the Patriots. It's time coming to an end. Nay,
- 1:08:31Speaker 1: my friends, the bills are four in one. They've had
- 1:08:35Speaker 1: one dominant win. The lions game beat down every other
- 1:08:39Speaker 1: game for them has been smoke and mirrors. They lost
- 1:08:41Speaker 1: to the Patriots. They were out gained by the Rams
- 1:08:44Speaker 1: should have lost on a walk-off kick. dropped interception against
- 1:08:47Speaker 1: the Texans. The chargers couldn't capitalize on five turnovers against
- 1:08:52Speaker 1: the Buffalo bills. Give me the Raiders every single day
- 1:08:56Speaker 1: of the week, official nomination.
- 1:08:58Speaker 5: I love it. This was going to be a nomination
- 1:09:00Speaker 5: Kendra for me as well, but I figured we'd go
- 1:09:03Speaker 5: in a different direction. This is a tough spot for
- 1:09:05Speaker 5: the bills. You basically played five quarters of football, another
- 1:09:09Speaker 5: game out on the West coast Raiders coming off. It
- 1:09:13Speaker 5: doesn't matter to me. Are they going to be able
- 1:09:15Speaker 5: to play defense? I don't see it. I think this
- 1:09:18Speaker 5: is 35 31 and I just want those points. They
- 1:09:21Speaker 5: don't have to win. It just got to cover Raiders.
- 1:09:25Speaker 3: I'm not going to fight you guys on it.
- 1:09:26Speaker 2: Cause I don't have anything better, but I worry that
- 1:09:29Speaker 2: Kirk cousins is turning back into a pumpkin.
- 1:09:33Speaker 1: Well, happy Halloween. Let's get them in the contest. Moving
- 1:09:36Speaker 1: on to the Cowboys and the Packers Sunday night football.
- 1:09:39Speaker 1: I really wanted to see Micah Parsons back for this one.
- 1:09:42Speaker 1: Doesn't look like that's going to happen. Still a fascinating matchup.
- 1:09:45Speaker 1: Cowboys 10 days to prep. Packers feel like they're back
- 1:09:48Speaker 1: on track. Who do we like here, Kendra?
- 1:09:53Speaker 2: I once again, this is one of the games that
- 1:09:54Speaker 2: I did a lot of research about. I went back
- 1:09:56Speaker 2: and watched both of these teams games last week. I
- 1:10:00Speaker 2: the only thing that I could maybe convince myself to
- 1:10:02Speaker 2: get to the window on here is the Cowboys team total.
- 1:10:05Speaker 3: I think it's like twenty six and a half. But
- 1:10:06Speaker 3: that was the only thing that I found intriguing was.
- 1:10:09Speaker 2: This is one of those games where it feels like
- 1:10:11Speaker 2: it's become a weird rivalry because of the Micah Parsons trade.
- 1:10:14Speaker 2: And I worry about the Cowboys in primetime. That's truly
- 1:10:17Speaker 2: the only thing that I hate here is watching the
- 1:10:19Speaker 2: Cowboys in primetime. I feel like they always crap their pants.
- 1:10:22Speaker 2: So it'd be Packers or nothing for me here. I
- 1:10:24Speaker 2: was very, very much trying to convince myself to be
- 1:10:27Speaker 2: on the Packers.
- 1:10:27Speaker 3: I just can't.
- 1:10:29Speaker 5: Gang, I kind of like the Cowboys. Kind of like
- 1:10:32Speaker 5: the Cowboys, famous last words. And, you know, you go
- 1:10:36Speaker 5: back to the game they played last year. Remember that
- 1:10:38Speaker 5: wacky tie on Sunday night football? Dak and the Dallas
- 1:10:43Speaker 5: offense had their way with the Green Bay defense. And
- 1:10:45Speaker 5: I know Jordan Love looked awesome last week. They're getting
- 1:10:48Speaker 5: Watson involved. They're getting Matthew Golden involved. They're hitting the
- 1:10:52Speaker 5: big plays down the field. Like in theory, there should
- 1:10:55Speaker 5: be a lot of points. I also don't love the
- 1:10:58Speaker 5: idea of a little bit of a letdown here for
- 1:11:01Speaker 5: the Packers. That Bear game meant so much to them.
- 1:11:03Speaker 5: They have the losing in the playoffs, at the losing
- 1:11:06Speaker 5: at the end of the regular season. From a significant standpoint, significantly,
- 1:11:11Speaker 5: significantly more important game for the Cowboys as far as
- 1:11:14Speaker 5: the way I see it. I know it's shoddy. I
- 1:11:17Speaker 5: know it's that hideous defense. I know we're on the road.
- 1:11:21Speaker 5: I think Dallas is winning the game.
- 1:11:23Speaker 3: And there's going to be wins.
- 1:11:24Speaker 5: But it's not Lambeau in like December or January. It's
- 1:11:28Speaker 5: like October Lambeau. I can deal with October Lambeau.
- 1:11:31Speaker 3: It's October Lambeau. That's fine.
- 1:11:32Speaker 2: But there's still going to be 15 to 17 mile
- 1:11:35Speaker 2: per hour win for a team that plays in a dome.
- 1:11:39Speaker 5: That's playing plenty of cold weather. It's playing plenty of
- 1:11:41Speaker 5: cold weather games.
- 1:11:43Speaker 1: I'm against you. Yeah, I love the Packers here. They're
- 1:11:46Speaker 1: one of my favorite bets this week. Take them on
- 1:11:48Speaker 1: the money line. I don't want to deal with the
- 1:11:49Speaker 1: one and a half. Jordan loves starting to cook with
- 1:11:52Speaker 1: this game being in Lambeau, the Packers at home Sunday
- 1:11:55Speaker 1: night football since 2009, 14, four and one against the spread.
- 1:12:00Speaker 1: They smash in these spots and Christian Watson looks unguardable
- 1:12:04Speaker 1: right now. Deron bland has been getting smoked this season.
- 1:12:07Speaker 1: The defensive back for the Cowboys quarterbacks have a one
- 1:12:10Speaker 1: 27 passer rating when they throw at bland. So what
- 1:12:14Speaker 1: the Packers were able to do last week against the
- 1:12:16Speaker 1: bears rinse, recycle, repeat. They're facing a similar situation. week
- 1:12:21Speaker 1: secondary in the Dallas Cowboys at home in primetime as
- 1:12:25Speaker 1: a short favorite. Love the cheese heads this week.
- 1:12:29Speaker 5: Oh, crappy save, save the vague. We may have to
- 1:12:32Speaker 5: talk after the show and negotiate an agreement.
- 1:12:35Speaker 1: I would, I would be open to such endeavors. Outstanding.
- 1:12:39Speaker 1: Let's do that.
- 1:12:40Speaker 5: All right.
- 1:12:40Speaker 3: So we have our five.
- 1:12:42Speaker 1: So do we get the Packers in there? Is this
- 1:12:44Speaker 1: the first week?
- 1:12:46Speaker 3: No, we don't have the Packers. We have the Raiders.
- 1:12:48Speaker 3: And who do you?
- 1:12:49Speaker 1: Well, we don't have a Raiders.
- 1:12:52Speaker 5: We have the Saints. Kendra, do you make a nomination?
- 1:12:55Speaker 3: The Texans. That was mine.
- 1:12:57Speaker 5: Wow. Taking sides literally against the family.
- 1:13:00Speaker 1: I agree with it.
- 1:13:01Speaker 5: Hold on. So we got Texans.
- 1:13:03Speaker 3: Steelers, Saints, Raiders. Who was your nomination?
- 1:13:07Speaker 1: Saints.
- 1:13:07Speaker 5: Okay. All right.
- 1:13:11Speaker 1: This is the first week ever that we have not
- 1:13:14Speaker 1: used a veto. Nobody has been vetoed. So I don't
- 1:13:17Speaker 1: want to throw the I want to throw the Panthers
- 1:13:19Speaker 1: back in there at plus one and a half.
- 1:13:22Speaker 3: Here's our conversation.
- 1:13:23Speaker 2: So we have to choose between Thursday night football, between
- 1:13:27Speaker 2: the Seahawks and the Broncos, the Panthers or the Packers.
- 1:13:31Speaker 5: It's amazing. I'm against you on all of these, but
- 1:13:34Speaker 5: because it's. The one I'm the most adamant from a
- 1:13:38Speaker 5: veto perspective is Carolina because I don't trust them.
- 1:13:41Speaker 3: I think that that's the one that I'd be most
- 1:13:42Speaker 3: likely to go with.
- 1:13:44Speaker 5: Should we have a high break? But hold on a second.
- 1:13:47Speaker 5: You like Denver, but you like Denver.
- 1:13:50Speaker 3: I don't know. I don't love Denver.
- 1:13:52Speaker 5: I don't either. I like Seattle, but okay.
- 1:13:56Speaker 3: I don't like that game at all.
- 1:13:57Speaker 1: Time out, gang. We do have Monday Night Football. San
- 1:14:02Speaker 1: Francisco minus seven and a half. Anybody before we just
- 1:14:05Speaker 1: completely devolve into madness.
- 1:14:06Speaker 5: Isn't that such a stinky game this week? Like San
- 1:14:09Speaker 5: Francisco coming off that Seattle game.
- 1:14:11Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:14:12Speaker 5: Nobody wants to back Washington after the lunacy of Dan
- 1:14:15Speaker 5: Quinn and Jane Daniels, which is by the way, one
- 1:14:17Speaker 5: of the dumbest sequences that I've ever seen in the
- 1:14:21Speaker 5: history of watching football in my 38 years. I'm 38
- 1:14:24Speaker 5: years old. I've been watching football probably for like 32,
- 1:14:26Speaker 5: 33 years, give or take. I've never seen anything that
- 1:14:29Speaker 5: stupid at the end of a game. That said, Seven
- 1:14:32Speaker 5: and a half team that's undefeated. That seems a little
- 1:14:34Speaker 5: too good to be true.
- 1:14:37Speaker 3: Are we going commanders?
- 1:14:39Speaker 1: No, I like the, I like the 49ers in that.
- 1:14:41Speaker 1: All right.
- 1:14:42Speaker 5: So stay away. Nine has been good to me too.
- 1:14:43Speaker 3: So I don't want to say we have Evan choose.
- 1:14:46Speaker 5: I'm cool with an Evan pick.
- 1:14:48Speaker 3: Okay.
- 1:14:49Speaker 1: Evan, we have been vetoed. So we have the Broncos
- 1:14:53Speaker 1: plus two and a half or the Packers. Let me
- 1:14:56Speaker 1: minus one and a half. at the Packers would be
- 1:14:58Speaker 1: minus one and a half. So those are the two options.
- 1:15:00Speaker 4: Those are the two choices, Denver and Green Bay.
- 1:15:03Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 1:15:05Speaker 3: You can call an audible here, Evan.
- 1:15:07Speaker 5: No, it's not an audible.
- 1:15:08Speaker 1: It's thrown at the Chargers. It's going to score all
- 1:15:10Speaker 1: of us. I know Evan likes the Jets this week.
- 1:15:13Speaker 1: I mean, I like all the garbage.
- 1:15:15Speaker 4: Cleveland, the Jets, Tampa Bay, the Chargers. I'd take the Raiders.
- 1:15:21Speaker 4: If you're making me pick those two games, I'd probably
- 1:15:23Speaker 4: go with Denver.
- 1:15:25Speaker 3: What would your other pick be that we don't have?
- 1:15:29Speaker 4: Probably the Jets at seven and a half.
- 1:15:32Speaker 5: Probably. You guys like the Jets. I am more than
- 1:15:36Speaker 5: fine with going with it. And then I could side
- 1:15:38Speaker 5: text you guys all day.
- 1:15:40Speaker 4: I assume your Tampa Bay number is two and a half.
- 1:15:41Speaker 3: Fuck it, the Jets.
- 1:15:42Speaker 1: Yeah, it is. All right, fuck it, the Jets. Literally,
- 1:15:45Speaker 1: fuck it, the Jets. Fuck it, the Jets.
- 1:15:48Speaker 5: All right.
- 1:15:48Speaker 1: Our contest is set. Texans plus two and a half.
- 1:15:51Speaker 1: Steelers minus two and a half. Saints plus one and
- 1:15:54Speaker 1: a half. Raiders plus five and a half. And then
- 1:15:58Speaker 1: fuck it, the Jets. Fuck it, the Jets. At plus
- 1:16:01Speaker 1: seven and a half. John Yastrzemski, the mayor of New
- 1:16:03Speaker 1: York City. Thanks so much for hanging out with us today.
- 1:16:06Speaker 5: Anytime, guys. Let's go five and oh, let's go. Fuck it,
- 1:16:10Speaker 5: the Jets.
- 1:16:11Speaker 1: Fuck it, the Jets. That'll do it for us this
- 1:16:14Speaker 1: week on the favorites. We'll be back on Monday to
- 1:16:17Speaker 1: recap week six of the NFL season, a preview of
- 1:16:22Speaker 1: the commanders and the 49ers and the same game parlay
- 1:16:26Speaker 1: for you as well. You can catch it all right
