Speaker 1: What's up, everyone, and welcome to another episode of the
• 0:02
Speaker 1: Epstein Chronicles. There were a lot of people on the
• 0:06
Speaker 1: Epstein stage, and it's hard to keep track of everybody,
• 0:09
Speaker 1: and for people who are just getting involved in the story,
• 0:12
Speaker 1: who have just started to follow along with what's going on,
• 0:15
Speaker 1: there's a lot of new faces and a lot of
• 0:17
Speaker 1: new names that you have to get familiar with. So
• 0:20
Speaker 1: what we're going to start doing here on the podcast
• 0:23
Speaker 1: is having a introduction type of series to people that
• 0:27
Speaker 1: were critical to what Jeffrey Epstein had going on. And
• 0:31
Speaker 1: in this episode, we're going to talk about the Dubins.
• 0:34
Speaker 1: Glenn Dubin didn't just brush up against Jeffrey Epstein in
• 0:38
Speaker 1: some random hedge fun handshake years before Epstein's crimes were
• 0:41
Speaker 1: republic He stood by him long after the world knew
• 0:45
Speaker 1: exactly what he was. In two thousand and nine, after
• 0:49
Speaker 1: Epstein had been convicted of soliciting sex from a minor,
• 0:52
Speaker 1: the Dubin still invited them into their home for Thanksgiving dinner.
• 0:56
Speaker 1: And that was an explicit, knowing choice to bring us
• 0:59
Speaker 1: set offender into the family holiday for dinner with your
• 1:03
Speaker 1: children present. The defense from the Dubin camp that they
• 1:06
Speaker 1: were one hundred percent comfortable having Epstein around their kids
• 1:09
Speaker 1: reads like something torn from a bad satire about Manhattan
• 1:13
Speaker 1: high society, where status trump's safety, but the reality is
• 1:17
Speaker 1: far darker. It's telling the world that a convicted predator's
• 1:21
Speaker 1: friendship mattered more than the untold damage that he did
• 1:25
Speaker 1: to the women and the girls that he abused. Financially,
• 1:28
Speaker 1: Dubin's ties to Epstein went deeper than cocktails in charity gallas.
• 1:32
Speaker 1: They invested together, They move money in and out of
• 1:35
Speaker 1: the same ventures. Epstein even used a foundation structure to
• 1:39
Speaker 1: funnel donations into Eva Anderson Dubin's breast cancer charity without
• 1:43
Speaker 1: attaching his name, a sleight of hand that led Epstein
• 1:47
Speaker 1: by social capital without the stink of his reputation sticking
• 1:50
Speaker 1: to it. Dubin didn't slam the door on that arrangement.
• 1:54
Speaker 1: He held it wide open even after Epstein's release. Dubin
• 1:58
Speaker 1: continued association gave Epstein something that he couldn't buy outright legitimacy.
• 2:04
Speaker 1: When a billionaire hedge fund manager still treats you like
• 2:07
Speaker 1: a valued friend, others take that as permission to do
• 2:10
Speaker 1: the same. Dubin's acceptance wasn't just personal loyalty. It was
• 2:14
Speaker 1: a reputational life raft for Epstein in the circles where money, influence,
• 2:19
Speaker 1: and silence are the currency. And when Virginia Roberts name
• 2:24
Speaker 1: Glenn Dubin among the men Epstein trafficked or two, Dubin
• 2:27
Speaker 1: issued the standard denial, but the allegations didn't vanish. It
• 2:31
Speaker 1: reappeared in court filings, unsealed testimony, and in alternative media
• 2:35
Speaker 1: again and again. Even if Dubin never faces a criminal charge,
• 2:40
Speaker 1: the persistence of his name and sworn statements is its
• 2:43
Speaker 1: own indictment, not legal, but certainly moral. Then there's the
• 2:48
Speaker 1: footnote about Epstein wanting to marry Dubin's own daughter, Selena,
• 2:52
Speaker 1: a claim back by reports that Epstein named her a
• 2:54
Speaker 1: beneficiary of his trust. Whether Epstein's intent was real or
• 2:58
Speaker 1: a manipulative power play, the fact that he felt comfortable
• 3:02
Speaker 1: enough to float such an idea speaks volumes about how
• 3:05
Speaker 1: entangled he was with the Dubin family. By the time
• 3:08
Speaker 1: the US virgin Islands a poena Duben for Epstein related documents,
• 3:12
Speaker 1: the picture was clear. This wasn't a casual pre scandal acquaintance.
• 3:17
Speaker 1: The Dubins were part of Epstein's in her network well
• 3:19
Speaker 1: after his first arrest. When law enforcement shows up at
• 3:23
Speaker 1: your door in a trafficking probe, it's not because you
• 3:26
Speaker 1: were in the wrong place once. It's because your proximity
• 3:29
Speaker 1: was sustained visible and suspicious. In the rarefied air of
• 3:34
Speaker 1: Wall Street, where power protects power, Dubin's downfall was never
• 3:38
Speaker 1: going to be a purp walk. Instead, it was a
• 3:41
Speaker 1: quiet exit from his fund in twenty twenty. The slow
• 3:44
Speaker 1: retreat from the public boards, the air brushing of connections
• 3:48
Speaker 1: in official bios, and what he'd want you to think
• 3:51
Speaker 1: is accountability is nothing more than a page from the
• 3:54
Speaker 1: damage control playbook for the ultral wealthy, where the scandal ismanaged,
• 3:58
Speaker 1: not resolved. The Dubin Epstein relationship is a case study
• 4:03
Speaker 1: and how predators survive. They don't do it alone. They
• 4:06
Speaker 1: do it because people with money and influence keep lending
• 4:09
Speaker 1: them credibility. Glen Dubin could have been a cautionary example
• 4:13
Speaker 1: in two thousand and eight, the guy who cut all
• 4:15
Speaker 1: ties and warned others. Instead, he became one more example
• 4:19
Speaker 1: of how elite loyalty to fellow insiders outweighs any duty
• 4:23
Speaker 1: to the vulnerable. All the denials all the carefully awarded statements,
• 4:27
Speaker 1: all the quiet charity board resignations, can erase the simple truth.
• 4:32
Speaker 1: When Epstein needed legitimacy after prison, Glen Dubin gave it
• 4:35
Speaker 1: to him. The few defenders that Dubin has like to
• 4:38
Speaker 1: fall back on the tired refrain that no charges wherever filed,
• 4:42
Speaker 1: as though the absence of prosecution is proof of innocence.
• 4:45
Speaker 1: In the rarefied world that Glen Dubin moves in the
• 4:48
Speaker 1: absence of prosecution often just means legal laws are too high,
• 4:52
Speaker 1: the rolodex too powerful, and the financial resources too deep
• 4:56
Speaker 1: for a case to ever see the inside of a
• 4:58
Speaker 1: court room. The twenty twenty four unsealing of more Epstein
• 5:02
Speaker 1: related core documents shredded whatever scraps of plausible deniability remained.
• 5:07
Speaker 1: Once again, Dubin's name surfaced alongside allegations, meetings, and interactions
• 5:12
Speaker 1: that no one with the shred of common sense would
• 5:15
Speaker 1: ever defend. We're not talking about random mentions. They're part
• 5:19
Speaker 1: of the long pattern in sworn statements, which is why
• 5:22
Speaker 1: as PR machine has been an overdrive for years trying
• 5:25
Speaker 1: to blur, minimize, or dismiss the record. Epstein didn't keep
• 5:29
Speaker 1: people like Lan Dubin in his orbit because they were disposable.
• 5:33
Speaker 1: He kept them because they were useful, useful for introductions,
• 5:37
Speaker 1: for access, for a shared veneer of elite respectability that
• 5:41
Speaker 1: allowed them to move in the same rooms as politicians, billionaires,
• 5:45
Speaker 1: and royalty. Even after becoming a convicted sex offender. Dubin
• 5:50
Speaker 1: played his part in that ecosystem, and pretending otherwise is
• 5:54
Speaker 1: revisionist history. Even the optics of the Dubin household Thanksgiving
• 5:59
Speaker 1: with Epstein in two thousand and nine are damning. We're
• 6:03
Speaker 1: not talking about some public charity event where one could
• 6:06
Speaker 1: plausibly claim ignorance of who might attend. That was their home,
• 6:09
Speaker 1: their table, their children. Every single person at the table
• 6:14
Speaker 1: knew exactly who Epstein was. By then inviting them wasn't
• 6:18
Speaker 1: a social courtesy, It was a deliberate, knowing embrace. The
• 6:21
Speaker 1: trust issue literally and figuratively runs deep. Epstein naming Selina
• 6:26
Speaker 1: Dubin as a beneficiary is either one of the sickest
• 6:30
Speaker 1: manipulations in his arsenal, or a reflection of a level
• 6:33
Speaker 1: of closeness that defies any excuse. Either way, it underscores
• 6:38
Speaker 1: how grotesquely entangled the predator was with the family, and
• 6:42
Speaker 1: how utterly blind, reckless, or wilfully indifferent they were to
• 6:46
Speaker 1: the risk. Dubin's Wall Street profile meant his ongoing acceptance
• 6:50
Speaker 1: of Epstein was noticed. It wasn't just a family matter.
• 6:54
Speaker 1: It was a signal to other high flyers that Epstein
• 6:56
Speaker 1: was still safe to do business with, a social class
• 7:00
Speaker 1: where the wrong association can sinc reputations overnight. Dubin's continued
• 7:04
Speaker 1: warmth towards Epstein wasn't just enabling, it was advertising. And look,
• 7:10
Speaker 1: when law enforcement in the US Virgin Islands began issuing
• 7:13
Speaker 1: subpoenas for Epstein's associates, Dubin wasn't on the list by accident.
• 7:18
Speaker 1: The investigators saw the same pattern. Anyone paying attention could
• 7:22
Speaker 1: see a high powered couple whose continued relationship with Epstein
• 7:26
Speaker 1: extended years past the point of moral or reputational cover.
• 7:31
Speaker 1: The hedge fund world is filled with men who treat
• 7:33
Speaker 1: ethics as an optional accessory, but even by those standards,
• 7:37
Speaker 1: the Duben Epstein link is calling. This wasn't a misjudged
• 7:40
Speaker 1: deal or a one time meeting. It was eight years
• 7:43
Speaker 1: long post conviction relationship that kept giving Epstein the social
• 7:46
Speaker 1: oxygen he needed to operate. When the fallout finally forced
• 7:51
Speaker 1: the Dubins to retreat from public life and step away
• 7:54
Speaker 1: from the fund, it wasn't some act of conscience. It
• 7:57
Speaker 1: was a tactical withdrawal, one meant to preserve as much
• 8:00
Speaker 1: of his wealth, standing, and insulation as possible while waiting
• 8:04
Speaker 1: for the public's outrage to move on to another scandal.
• 8:08
Speaker 1: The facts are brutally simple. After Epstein's crimes were known,
• 8:12
Speaker 1: Glen Dubin could have chosen distance, condemnation, and accountability. Instead,
• 8:17
Speaker 1: he chose proximity, acceptance, and silence. That choice didn't just
• 8:22
Speaker 1: protect Epstein, it helped keep the machinery of his abuse
• 8:25
Speaker 1: running long after any decent person would have slammed the
• 8:29
Speaker 1: door shut. But the most damning thing for Glenn Dubin
• 8:32
Speaker 1: are the allegations made against some by Virginia Roberts. And
• 8:36
Speaker 1: Virginia never mince words when it comes to naming the
• 8:38
Speaker 1: powerful men. She says Jeffrey Epstein trafficked or two and
• 8:42
Speaker 1: Glenn Dubin's name is among them. In sworn testimony in
• 8:46
Speaker 1: public statements, Roberts has alleged that she was directed to
• 8:49
Speaker 1: have sex with Duben while still a teenager in Epstein's orbit.
• 8:54
Speaker 1: These aren't off hand mentions. There are direct, specific accusations
• 8:57
Speaker 1: made under oath, woven into a consistent narrative that she
• 9:01
Speaker 1: repeated for years. According to Roberts, Epstein and Maxwell arranged
• 9:06
Speaker 1: for her to be with Dubin as part of the
• 9:08
Speaker 1: wider network of sexual exploitation that targeted young women and girls.
• 9:14
Speaker 1: She described a pattern in which Epstein loaned out victims
• 9:17
Speaker 1: to his wealthy, well connected friends as both the means
• 9:20
Speaker 1: of rewarding allies and binding them into silence. In that framework,
• 9:25
Speaker 1: Dubin is alleged to have been one of the recipients
• 9:28
Speaker 1: of these coursed encounters. And what makes the Dubin allegations
• 9:32
Speaker 1: especially explosive is the timing. Robert's claim placed her abuse
• 9:36
Speaker 1: by the Dubins during the very period when Epstein's trafficking
• 9:39
Speaker 1: machine was operating at full tilt, with Maxwell allegedly orchestrating
• 9:44
Speaker 1: much of the logistics. This wasn't some hazy recollection decades
• 9:48
Speaker 1: after the fact. These are anchored to specific periods in
• 9:51
Speaker 1: her life that have been corroborated by other pieces of
• 9:55
Speaker 1: Epstein's timeline. Dubin has issued flat denials, branding Robert its
• 10:00
Speaker 1: allegations is false and defamatory, but the denial alone doesn't
• 10:04
Speaker 1: erase the fact that his name surfaces repeatedly in connection
• 10:08
  Speaker 1: with Epstein's sex trafficking operation. It's not a cameo, it's
• 10:12
Speaker 1: a recurring presence in depositions, core filings, media summaries of
• 10:17
Speaker 1: unsealed documents, and survivors and investigators don't keep mentioning the
• 10:21
Speaker 1: same people by accident. While Glenn Dubin has not been
• 10:25
Speaker 1: charged with any crime, Robert's accusations carry enough weight to
• 10:29
Speaker 1: have been included in unsealed testimony that was scrutinized by attorneys, journalists,
• 10:34
Speaker 1: and law enforcement alike. In cases like this, absence of
• 10:38
Speaker 1: indictment is not proof of innocence. It's often a sign
• 10:41
Speaker 1: of how formidable the legal and political walls are around
• 10:45
Speaker 1: the accused. Robert's account also fits into a broader pattern
• 10:50
Speaker 1: that she laid out regarding Epstein's in her circle, a
• 10:53
Speaker 1: pattern in which Maxwell and Epstein targeted powerful men specifically
• 10:58
Speaker 1: because they could provide protection, access, and influence. In this
• 11:02
Speaker 1: alleged model, the abuse itself wasn't just predation. It was transactional,
• 11:07
Speaker 1: a currency of control. Naming Dubin places them in the
• 11:11
Speaker 1: alleged transaction chain. Adding to the discomfort is the fact
• 11:15
Speaker 1: that the Dubin family's relationship with Epstein didn't end after
• 11:19
Speaker 1: these alleged events. If anything, they grew closer in the
• 11:22
Speaker 1: years after, maintaining the kind of visible friendship that undermines
• 11:26
Speaker 1: every I had no idea defense. If the allegations are false,
• 11:31
Speaker 1: their choice to stand by Epstein post conviction is baffling.
• 11:35
Speaker 1: If they are true, it's an outright indictment of moral bankruptcy.
• 11:40
Speaker 1: The persistence of Dubin's name and survivor testimony also carries
• 11:43
Speaker 1: weight in the court of public opinion. Robert's credibility has
• 11:47
Speaker 1: been tested in multiple legal venues, and while defense attorneys
• 11:51
Speaker 1: have worked hard to pick a parterer story, much of
• 11:54
Speaker 1: what she's alleged about Epstein's network has been corroborated by documents, photographs,
• 11:59
Speaker 1: and the accounts of other victims. That gives her identification
• 12:02
Speaker 1: of Dubin a seriousness that cannot be brushed aside as
• 12:06
Speaker 1: a mere rumor. Even in the absence of charges. The
• 12:10
Speaker 1: stain of these allegations is permanent. You don't get your
• 12:13
Speaker 1: name pulled out of a sworn victim testimony in a
• 12:15
Speaker 1: case as infamous as Epstein's without leaving a permanent mark.
• 12:20
Speaker 1: At its core, the Roberts' allegations against Glenn Dubin aren't
• 12:24
Speaker 1: just about one incident. It's about whether a man at
• 12:27
Speaker 1: the very top of finance uses position in Epstein's inner
• 12:31
Speaker 1: circle to exploit a traffic girl, and whether the machinery
• 12:34
Speaker 1: of wealth and influence has ensured that such claims will
• 12:38
Speaker 1: never see the inside of a criminal courtroom. That's why
• 12:41
Speaker 1: the allegation continues to loom, unresolved but unforgotten in the
• 12:45
Speaker 1: ongoing reckoning with Epstein's legacy. All Right, we're going to
• 12:49
Speaker 1: wrap up part one here, and in the next episode
• 12:51
Speaker 1: we're gonna pick up where we left off. All of
• 12:54
Speaker 1: the information that goes with this episode can be found
• 12:57
Speaker 1: in the description box.
