- 2:31So that's it.
- 2:32Let's go to Tim Moore.
- 2:33I was just looking at Lamplighter.
- 2:36Lamb and Lion Ministries, Tim, good to see you brother.
- 2:39Thank you so much for your time.
- 2:40Well David, thank you for having me today.
- 2:42It's a great joy to connect via modern technology and talk about all things related to a Biblical
- 2:48worldview and some of the things going on in our world today.
- 2:52It sure is.
- 2:53And I love what you guys do at Lamb and Lion and Christ in prophecy.
- 2:57I love your programs.
- 2:58I love your content.
- 3:00We are going to talk about the Lamplighter magazine that you guys put out and about
- 3:04we're talking about the church age in a little bit.
- 3:07But first we've got, I'm excited to talk about your devotional and journal.
- 3:12It's a combination from what I understand.
- 3:14It's called High Flight on Eagles Wings.
- 3:18There it is.
- 3:20And it's from Lamb and Lion Ministries, the website ChristInProphesy.org or LambLionResources.com.
- 3:28It's right there.
- 3:29Tell us about that because I like the idea of a devotional, but you know, there are thousands
- 3:34of devotionals.
- 3:35But this is a journal as well.
- 3:37Tim tells how this works.
- 3:38Well, basically over the years since I have become director of Lamb and Lion Ministries
- 3:44every week, I put out what I have called a more musing.
- 3:48Just some thoughts that kind of keep our staff and I share it with our board and sometimes
- 3:53a handful of others get a copy of that.
- 3:56But to kind of focus on what's going on in the world relative to our ministry and how
- 4:00we can be impactful and little known to me, my creative design leader was collecting all
- 4:07of those musings and eventually came and said, I'd like to put this together in the form
- 4:11of a devotional because I think they would have great poignancy.
- 4:14And so I said, all right, we expanded some of them because sometimes they were fairly
- 4:19short.
- 4:20Other times they were a little bit longer.
- 4:22So for the right size, I came back through with her and edited them to share some personal
- 4:28stories, but really always applying scripture to situations that I've encountered.
- 4:34Some of them are common to many people and to try to give an encouragement.
- 4:39And of course, we take from the passage in Isaiah that those who trust in the Lord will
- 4:44lift up as with Eagles wings.
- 4:45In other words, the sore high and as a former Air Force pilot and someone who has spent
- 4:51a lot of time at 35,000 feet, I know what it's like to be able to see the world from a
- 4:56whole different perspective.
- 4:58And essentially as I describe in the book, you kind of get a God's eye view as we refer
- 5:03to it in aviation because you're looking down and not really bound by some of the day
- 5:09to day plotting along in this life when you can kind of get up and change your perspective.
- 5:15So that was my goal and these devotions are an effort to encourage people and to really
- 5:20lift their eyes as they rise up on Eagles wings.
- 5:25I love how you describe that too on the website.
- 5:29There's believers to rise above the challenges of life through renewed faith and steadfast
- 5:34hope in Christ.
- 5:35And it also says that you can use, you can reflect, you can use it as a source of encouragement,
- 5:44you can journal.
- 5:48That's a unique aspect to this Tim.
- 5:49I believe a lot of devotional don't have that space for writing thoughts based on what
- 5:54they just read or a scripture they just read.
- 5:57So share a little bit more about that.
- 5:59Well again, I give credit to Janet Alvary who is our graphic designer and she said, I
- 6:05think it would be nice to be able to write.
- 6:07And as you said, journal some of your thoughts.
- 6:08So we have a prayer tracker.
- 6:10Each of my different devotions is shared.
- 6:14We don't even refer to them as musings in the book other than the introduction, but something
- 6:18related to again, an experience that I had or something that I think is pithy from
- 6:25scripture to be relevant to our day and age and then we talk about faith in flight, which
- 6:30is kind of pulling back in a crystallized context of what that devotional is all about.
- 6:36We have something that's very unique, I think, called Intel Drop and our silhouette just
- 6:42within the title of that very brief paragraph is a C-130 because for many years I was a C-130
- 6:50pilot and dropped things out the back end people and supplies.
- 6:54And so we're dropping little nuggets of facts and information from scripture or just from
- 7:00other things that kind of enhance.
- 7:02And then in the middle again, a prayer tracker because we provide a prayer that is suggested.
- 7:09But obviously, I think from our own heart, we pray best sometimes using scripture to
- 7:16pray back to the Lord, but to share what is our heart concern, the overflow of our heart,
- 7:21not only our mouth speaks, but in our prayers, our soul connects with the Lord through the
- 7:27Holy Spirit.
- 7:28And so, rather than just using our recommended prayer, we encourage people to record their
- 7:32own prayer, their own response or reflection on the devotional.
- 7:37And I think over time, as they review those, they will find that the Lord really did bring
- 7:43them to higher or newer heights as on equals wings.
- 7:48That's awesome.
- 7:49And this also confirms that you work with some really good people there at Lamb and Lion.
- 7:53Yeah, well, I certainly do.
- 7:54Yes, sir.
- 7:55And very talented.
- 7:56I always have encouraged you, your gifts and talents as the Lord directs.
- 8:01And we've had a whole lot of innovation and just new creative ideas.
- 8:05And this is one of them.
- 8:07That's awesome.
- 8:08So Tim, is this available now or is it pre-order or when does it, when is it released or was
- 8:13it released?
- 8:14No, it is available now.
- 8:16We've actually not done a major promotion yet.
- 8:19So I appreciate you mentioning it.
- 8:20It has been released, but we will be doing a television program ourselves on our Christ
- 8:25in Prophecy Television show coming up in the next several weeks and really realizing that
- 8:31probably as gifts for young people graduating.
- 8:34I think it gives some perspective.
- 8:37Oftentimes you think, where do I give a young person that I can pass along?
- 8:41Or for Father's Day, Mother's Day coming up, but we realize that this spring, we are in
- 8:47need.
- 8:48And I think many in the church of the encouragement and keeping our eyes focused on our blessed
- 8:54hope.
- 8:55And it's not hope in hope, as I like to say, it's not an Oprah Winfrey kind of hope.
- 8:59Our hope is in the sureness of Christ in his return and in our upward call home, one
- 9:05of these days soon and very soon.
- 9:08So I was intrigued by your February edition of Lamplighter, Lamlin Publication.
- 9:15And the reason is the church age, God's strategic pause.
- 9:21I thought that was an interesting wording to put on the bottom of God's strategic pause.
- 9:28So Tim, let's first just walk through this and break down what is the church age?
- 9:33Because we have a lot of newer viewers and listeners and some maybe younger Christians.
- 9:38I mean, praise God.
- 9:40But when they hear things like the church age, they don't, they're not sure if, are we
- 9:44talking n times, are we talking book of revelation?
- 9:46Are we talking what we're living in now today?
- 9:49Could you walk us through that and start there, please?
- 9:51Well, I guess they answered.
- 9:52Are those three questions?
- 9:53Well, yes.
- 9:54In a sense, we're talking all those things, what we're living in now, something pointing
- 9:59to revelation and the end times.
- 10:00So the reason we use the phrase God's strategic pause is if you look at history as a flow
- 10:07of a narrative, God's story, his story is human history.
- 10:13And yet so much of what scripture focuses on is God's interaction with Israel and how
- 10:18he demonstrates his faithfulness, his providence, and his provision to this chosen people in
- 10:25spite of themselves.
- 10:27And I've heard people say, and not to go down the rabbit trail too far yet, but I've
- 10:31heard people say, well, why does God still hold out any kind of promise to the Jews?
- 10:35They haven't behaved in a way always that would deserve it.
- 10:39And my answer is you're right.
- 10:40Neither of I.
- 10:41I don't deserve God's grace.
- 10:43That's the good news of the gospel of Jesus Christ.
- 10:46He is faithful to those who trust in him, and he's always faithful to his promises.
- 10:52Every promise, all of his prophetic promises.
- 10:55And so he's given promises to mew and me, David, as followers of Christ, but he's given
- 10:59promises to the descendants of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.
- 11:02So in that arc of narrative, the church in a perspective is a pause in God's plan that
- 11:11is still unfolding for the Jewish people and how he will be glorified through them yet
- 11:17again.
- 11:18He's being so today, but we have the great blessing of being grafted into this family that
- 11:24God chose and called his own.
- 11:27And so yes, it's a 2,000 year pause.
- 11:31And we live in the immediacy of the moment so much that sometimes it's hard to understand
- 11:35well, there was a before and there will be an after.
- 11:38But here again, if you go on Eagle's wings to a higher perspective, you begin to understand
- 11:44that, okay, I can see the past of present.
- 11:47I liken it to this.
- 11:48If I'm driving down the highway, I cannot see what's around the next curb.
- 11:52There's a huge traffic jam that I'm about to encounter 5 or 10 minutes from now.
- 11:57I can't see what happened 30 miles back because again, that's in the rear view mirror.
- 12:02It's already gone past.
- 12:04And if you go to 30,000 feet, I'd brother, I can look down on Green Bay, Wisconsin and
- 12:08Chicago, simultaneous.
- 12:10And if I had good enough vision from that altitude, I could see every traffic scenario that
- 12:16the drivers themselves would not realize because they're living just in that small window
- 12:22of space and time.
- 12:23Well, God's perspective is so far above ours.
- 12:27He sees the beginning from the end.
- 12:29And he knows what his plans are for you and for me and for Israel.
- 12:33And so the church, as Paul describes in the book of Romans, was his endeavor to share the
- 12:39gospel with the entire world.
- 12:41It's made up of Christians and Jews, Jews first, and then the Gentile.
- 12:44I say Christian Jews.
- 12:45It's made up of Gentiles and Jews, but Jews first.
- 12:50And yet there is still a plan in provision for the House of Israel using the Zecule 36
- 12:55term there.
- 12:57And so, yes, we have the great joy of being in the body of Christ, the church, but there's
- 13:02more coming because God will fulfill every promise He's made to the Jewish people just
- 13:07as He is to you and to me.
- 13:10Yeah, I think we need to get back to that.
- 13:14The God will fulfill every promise He made, not only to the church, but to the Jewish people,
- 13:19because there's a lot of confusion and maybe you might want to say delusion to today.
- 13:25Even in the church, Tim, and you're very aware of that, what's happening in the church,
- 13:30not just people that are biblically illiterate, but in the church in America, there's some
- 13:35confusion over whether we should support Israel and God's people, God's chosen people.
- 13:40What are these promises?
- 13:42And there's a lot of confusion.
- 13:43Maybe about Romans 9 to 11, which is a very important passage of Scripture to really walk
- 13:49through and study.
- 13:50Do you want to comment on that before we go on?
- 13:52Yeah, I think you're spot on.
- 13:55There is much confusion, much delusion, and I'll even call it scripturally, much deception.
- 14:01Saking is a great propagandist, and so he uses all sorts of different tools to lead if possible
- 14:06even the elect astray.
- 14:08And when it comes to an attitude toward Israel, there has been a great deception.
- 14:13Now, even as I use the term Israel, just unpacked very briefly, am I talking about the land?
- 14:18Am I talking about the nation that writ large has been in existence since the days of Abraham?
- 14:24Am I talking about the modern nation state that calls itself Israel?
- 14:27Or am I talking about the people group?
- 14:30And the answer is yes, it's all those things.
- 14:33And so we can become confused.
- 14:35Do we have to agree with everything the nation state of Israel does?
- 14:40The answer is no, goodness, I don't agree with everything our government does.
- 14:43And yet I'm an American and consider myself blessed to have been born in this land.
- 14:49But I still am commanded in scripture to bless the descendants of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.
- 14:56This people group.
- 14:57And again, back to Ezekiel 36, the house of Israel.
- 15:00And I'm not part of that house, as far as a genetic descendant, I have been grafted in,
- 15:06as Paul says in Romans 9 through 11.
- 15:09And there's great blessing in that, but I'm still called to bless Israel.
- 15:13And so a lot of Christians are confused because they have been deceived.
- 15:18And Satan is essentially asking in our modern era, did God really say to bless the people
- 15:24of Israel?
- 15:25And as soon as he plants that seed of doubt, then he comes back and said, God, God lied.
- 15:30He did not mean those promises.
- 15:33They are null and void.
- 15:34And if we begin to believe that, then we've eroded the veracity of God and we have diminished
- 15:41his faithfulness.
- 15:43And that's exactly what Ezekiel says.
- 15:45God is not going to be faithful to his promises to Israel because they deserve it.
- 15:49No, he's going to be faithful because that's who he is.
- 15:53And he cannot violate his own character.
- 15:55And that gives me great assurance as a Gentile follower of Christ because it lets me know
- 16:00that he will not violate any promise given to me.
- 16:04And so to me, it all goes hand in glove with trusting God and what he has revealed about
- 16:10himself and about his plan for the ages.
- 16:13Yeah, if you use that terminology, we don't deserve the promises that God has for us individually.
- 16:19So we're going to get back to the church age in a minute, but I think we're on a very
- 16:23important topic because I think some of our viewers and listeners need to understand
- 16:28maybe they've been brought up in Scripture, maybe they've been to good Bible sites, maybe
- 16:32they have a good pastor at their church and they don't understand how people are falling
- 16:37for this delusion.
- 16:38And Tim, did it and you would think since October 7, 2023, there would be a little bit more,
- 16:46I don't know, I don't want to say sympathy, but support for these people that were demonically
- 16:51attacked and yet it seems like the pendulum has swung the other way even in the church
- 16:58where there's people that aren't supporting them and thinking they are occupying a land
- 17:03that's not theirs.
- 17:04And so, oh my goodness, there's so much to unpack, isn't there?
- 17:07There really is and you think, how can people be so deluded, especially those who love
- 17:12the Lord?
- 17:13And I'd trust that if a person is a genuine Christ follower, they love the Lord, but
- 17:18that does not mean that we are not susceptible at times to deception.
- 17:24I use a famous incident from Scripture itself in Matthew chapter 16, Peter is the first
- 17:30of the disciples to confess Christ.
- 17:33He says, you are the Christ, the son of the living God.
- 17:36And Jesus says, well, good on you, Peter, but really, even the credit for your recognition
- 17:41is to God the Father.
- 17:42He has revealed this to you.
- 17:44And you have to think that Peter felt pretty good about, you know, getting a gold star
- 17:47or a smiley face on his report card that day, but just a few verses later, Peter becomes
- 17:53a mouthpiece of Satan when Christ having revealed what the plan of the Father is that
- 17:59he should die.
- 18:00Peter pulls him aside and rebukes him and says, no, Lord, this will not happen to you.
- 18:05And Jesus' response is telling, get the behind me, Satan, even this man who was so impulsive
- 18:12and confess Jesus as the Christ, a handful of verses later, is being a conduit of satanic
- 18:20misleading or deception.
- 18:22And I think in that moment, Jesus heard the same lie that was perpetrated in the garden.
- 18:27You will not die was a direct reputation of what Christ had revealed as being the will
- 18:34and the promise of the Father.
- 18:36And so if we're not careful, we too can be deceived.
- 18:40You know, back in my past, David, I was a training interrogator for the Air Force, right?
- 18:45Training young airmen, typically officers in general, but airmen who might become POWs,
- 18:52how to avoid propaganda and how to avoid being interrogated and revealing certain secrets.
- 18:59But we use different ploys to try to deceive them.
- 19:03And I just witness what is happening in our world today.
- 19:06And I realize that the propaganda is rampant.
- 19:09And if we're not guarding our hearts, we as Christians can believe the propaganda and
- 19:15become unwitting.
- 19:16And I'll emphasize that unwitting mouthpieces of what Satan would like to perpetrate
- 19:22as a real satanic deception.
- 19:24Yes.
- 19:25I think that you're right on unwitting mouthpieces exactly what some people have become.
- 19:31And so I'm looking at the demonic aspect, the spiritual warfare behind this, because
- 19:35the devil hates Israel, the devil hates the Jews, the devil hates Christians.
- 19:40So there's this, the spiritual warfare.
- 19:42So that angle underneath underlying what all is going down, but also now come back to
- 19:47the church in America.
- 19:48And we've got the biblical illiteracy in the church.
- 19:53And so that's almost like a double-edged sword that's not just not going to end well.
- 19:57So we really have to be better students of the Bible.
- 20:01We need to know Bible prophecy.
- 20:02We need to know how to explain why you mentioned the land, the nation, and the people of Israel,
- 20:08how we can as Bible believe in Christians support all three.
- 20:12And then almost every guest when we bring up this topic makes the distinction.
- 20:16I do not support everything the government does, just like our own government.
- 20:21And I agree with that.
- 20:23I think some people want to put us all, meaning Protestants or Evangelical Christians in
- 20:27one basket and say, we support Israel no matter what they do.
- 20:30No, it's not a blind support.
- 20:33It is a biblical support.
- 20:34If through the biblical worldview, through the Old Testament and the promises, the everlasting
- 20:39covenant, and we do support the people.
- 20:43But let's talk about the land, Tim, because I think that's where a lot of the propaganda
- 20:48gets out there.
- 20:48It's stolen land.
- 20:50It wasn't their land.
- 20:51And then I don't know how they think what happened in 1948, you know.
- 20:55But some people think, well, it wasn't their land.
- 20:58So can you walk us through a little bit of that, please?
- 21:01I sure can.
- 21:03And let's face it, David, the program title of your program, you know, a biblical worldview.
- 21:08They used to have a commercial, let's say, what's in your wallet talking about a credit card?
- 21:12My question for anybody is, what's in your worldview or what is it based on?
- 21:17Is it based on what the world has told you to believe or is it based on the word of God?
- 21:22I've decided, and again, this is an act of the will that I will choose to trust God
- 21:28and reject everything else that is contrary to his revealed word, because he has proven
- 21:34himself trustworthy to me and throughout history.
- 21:37So all the way back in Genesis chapter 12, something that, infamously, when Tucker Carlson
- 21:43was interviewing Senator Ted Cruz, he couldn't cite the chapter in verse 12, as Genesis
- 21:47chapter 12, verse 1 through 3, where God promises to bless Abraham and later his descendants.
- 21:55And for those who would bless him and his descendants, they would receive a blessing.
- 22:00Those who would curse him would receive a curse.
- 22:02And then he promised him a land.
- 22:03He titled it over to Abraham without even expecting anything of Abraham.
- 22:08As a matter of fact, this covenant was established while Abraham was asleep.
- 22:12The same covenant was reiterated to Abraham, son Isaac, and to his grandson Jacob later called
- 22:19Israel, the Lord gave him that name.
- 22:22And so that is a covenant that's never been broken.
- 22:25Now has Israel always had full possession of the land?
- 22:28No.
- 22:29Like the analogy is used, if I said to my son, here's a car, it's titled in your name,
- 22:35but you can only drive it if you obey the rules in my house.
- 22:38There might be a time when he does on foot again without the blessing of the car, but it's
- 22:44still his.
- 22:45It's titled over to him.
- 22:46And so that has happened in history, and the Jewish people have streamed home.
- 22:51I've cited Ezekiel 36, I had a young pastor one time who said to him, I just think that
- 22:56God promises the Jews are null and void.
- 22:59And he was a replacement theologian very clearly.
- 23:02And I said, well, let's read Ezekiel 36 where the Lord promises to the mountains of Israel.
- 23:08This is a promise made to inan of objects, to geography.
- 23:12And he says, you will once again be inhabited after you have been desolated.
- 23:17And my sons and daughters will come home to you because they will feel a pull and a urine
- 23:22in their heart.
- 23:23And I read through the rest of that chapter, which uses the phrase, the house of Israel.
- 23:28And I asked this young pastor, obviously a Gentile, do you feel impelled to go and live
- 23:33on the mountains of Israel?
- 23:35And he said, no, I said, that's because you're a Gentile.
- 23:38But God has placed it deep in the heart of the Jews.
- 23:41Every year at the end of their Passover Seder, they say, next year in Jerusalem.
- 23:45So even as they were living very comfortably in places like Germany and Poland a hundred
- 23:49years ago, the Lord was already working out.
- 23:53His plan to motivate the Jews to go home.
- 23:56I dare say even some of the horrific things we're witnessing in our own country in the highest
- 24:01concentration of Jews outside of Israel.
- 24:04Let's use the example New York City, the Lord may be orchestrating a motivation for even
- 24:10those Jews to go home to Israel.
- 24:13God's plans and his ways are far higher than our own, but David, we have the blessing of living
- 24:19in such a time as this, to see with greater and greater hindsight what God has done, what
- 24:25he is doing and to be confident that his prophesied promises will be fulfilled in their
- 24:33entirety.
- 24:34Amen, brother.
- 24:35Amen.
- 24:36One more scripture.
- 24:37I want to point to running out of time.
- 24:38It went by so fast with you, Tim.
- 24:40Back to the lampladder magazine on page 11, I believe.
- 24:45And it's a second Peter 119 is quoted, you've got to read that in context, friends, 119
- 24:51through 21.
- 24:52But I want to quote this because a lot of people, I mean, if back then during the Apostle
- 24:57Paul's day, they were saying, soon, you know, it says, well, we may see other prophesied
- 25:03events take place if Jesus carries the next major event on the timeline of end times
- 25:08events is the rapture itself.
- 25:10That glorious gathering of all the church age saints is something that the Apostles anticipated
- 25:16even in their day, because they knew that Jesus return would be imminent and could be
- 25:22soon from an eternal perspective.
- 25:24They were highly motivated to endure any hardship and share the gospel.
- 25:29So Tim, more, I want to be about redeeming the time and having a sense of urgency, which
- 25:35I don't think the church today has, how can we be better in that respect?
- 25:42I think we apply the full counsel of the Word of God.
- 25:46We don't exclude the beginning and the end because, you know, they're hard to grapple
- 25:50with or grasp.
- 25:51We take God at his word.
- 25:53And when he says, hey, Jesus is coming again.
- 25:56When Jesus says in last chapter of scripture, I'm coming soon.
- 26:00Yes, I'm coming soon.
- 26:01I am coming soon.
- 26:02We take him at his word.
- 26:05And soon you said 2000 years, well, let's face it, David, when we've been in heaven gathered
- 26:10around the throne of God for a billion trillion years, 2000 will seem like the blink of an
- 26:15eye.
- 26:16It's all a matter of our perspective.
- 26:18And so in addition to having a biblical worldview, perhaps what we need is a heaven view.
- 26:24In other words, to align our perspective with that of God.
- 26:28I used to phrase a God's eye perspective earlier.
- 26:31Maybe we need to see things not just from plotting along in this life and in this world.
- 26:37But from a heaven's eye perspective, and then we would understand that even what seems
- 26:43to be taking so long, boy, I wish the Lord had already come, sort of.
- 26:48But when I say that, I do wish he would come soon, but I'm glad he doesn't come on my
- 26:52timeline.
- 26:53I'm glad he in his divine plan gives opportunity for everyone to come to faith in Christ.
- 27:00I know your viewers are likely followers of Christ, but if anyone is not, today is the
- 27:05day of salvation.
- 27:06And really, ongoingly, your program helps direct them to a biblical worldview.
- 27:11And I'll dare say again, a heavenly worldview.
- 27:13Yes.
- 27:14And what you guys do at Christ and prophecy, Lamb and Lion, take it up a notch when it comes
- 27:18to Bible prophecy and all that you guys cover.
- 27:21I want to mention Christ and prophecy.org, Tim's devotional and journal at you can go
- 27:27to Lamb, Lion, Resources, or Christ and prophecy.org, and that's a phenomenal devotional you guys
- 27:33can get.
- 27:34High flight on Eagles, wings, on wings as Eagles.
- 27:37Brother, thanks for your time.
- 27:38We went by very, very fast.
- 27:39I appreciate all you do.
- 27:41God's being, David.
- 27:42You and your viewers.
- 27:44Thank you, sir.
- 27:45God bless you.
- 27:46And as always, friends, keep speaking the truth about things that matter.
