- 3:00Speaker 2: Helly Hello, hey, hend it, hand it over, good morning,
- 3:05Speaker 2: good morning, good morning, good morning, good morning. Come on in,
- 3:09Speaker 2: come on in, come on in. Just wanted to jump
- 3:13Speaker 2: on really quick. Wanted to share some things with you guys.
- 3:17Speaker 2: We are preparing for our upcoming Men's History Month. For
- 3:25Speaker 2: those that follow and support aspiring authors, magazine, the Crew Podcast,
- 3:31Speaker 2: and those various platforms. We are gearing up for our
- 3:39Speaker 2: Black History Men's Month. Well, we like to honor of
- 3:49Speaker 2: what we do what we do here on the Crew Podcast.
- 3:56Speaker 2: So I am excited, excited, excited that you saw when
- 4:00Speaker 2: we was coming on. There were a couple notes, a
- 4:05Speaker 2: couple of things. If you are a king, if you
- 4:09Speaker 2: are male and you would like to join the magazine
- 4:14Speaker 2: and get featured inside of the magazine, I encourage you
- 4:18Speaker 2: to reach out. You can reach out to aspiring authors
- 4:23Speaker 2: A A. L. A C. At gmail dot com and
- 4:29Speaker 2: grab you a feature. What better way to showcase your brand?
- 4:34Speaker 2: You have opportunity to share your brand around the world.
- 4:38Speaker 2: We are a global magazine, y'all. We are available on
- 4:42Speaker 2: most all platforms. You can get us through digital printed.
- 4:49Speaker 2: We are available on Amazon, We're available on mad Cloud.
- 4:54Speaker 2: We're available on blurb. So there is so many different
- 4:58Speaker 2: opportunities where you you can get the magazine. You also
- 5:02Speaker 2: can purchase a magazine from one of the writers if
- 5:06Speaker 2: you like to support the writers. We're able to purchase
- 5:10Speaker 2: the magazines at cost and sell them for what they retell.
- 5:18Speaker 2: You can help a starving writer because we do not
- 5:23Speaker 2: get paid for what we do. Over here. It's all
- 5:28Speaker 2: putting out the magazine, getting the magazine out, and making
- 5:31Speaker 2: sure that we're able to amplify voices and that we're
- 5:35Speaker 2: able to allow these voices to be heard. And I'm
- 5:38Speaker 2: just super excited. I thank God for even giving me
- 5:47Speaker 2: charge over this and allowing me the opportunity to be
- 5:51Speaker 2: the vessel to be used through this magazine and putting
- 5:54Speaker 2: this magazine out and putting it in the hands of
- 5:57Speaker 2: those that it need to be in. No, we may
- 5:59Speaker 2: not be reaching a million people, we may not even
- 6:03Speaker 2: be reaching a thousand people, but y'all, every time I
- 6:06Speaker 2: can go over to the page and see you where
- 6:10Speaker 2: people are ordering the magazine. Not just here in America, y'all,
- 6:14Speaker 2: but they are ordering the magazine in the UK, They're
- 6:17Speaker 2: ordering the magazines in the Netherlands and places, y'all. That
- 6:22Speaker 2: I didn't even think people even watched or supported us,
- 6:25Speaker 2: or even cared what we were saying. But y'all, you
- 6:29Speaker 2: would be truly amazed at who is supporting you, who
- 6:34Speaker 2: follow you, because a lot of times people don't comment,
- 6:38Speaker 2: they don't share, they don't say anything, but they are
- 6:41Speaker 2: there supporting, they are there cheering you on. So don't
- 6:44Speaker 2: always look at the numbers when you're trying to figure
- 6:48Speaker 2: out if people are following, if people are getting what
- 6:51Speaker 2: you're saying, if people are really engaging. Know that when
- 6:58Speaker 2: you start seeing your magazine, your books, your articles, and
- 7:02Speaker 2: all these different places, know that people are listening, people
- 7:05Speaker 2: are looking, people are watching because they couldn't be spreaded
- 7:09Speaker 2: across these different platforms and be available in these different
- 7:14Speaker 2: places if people wouldn't desire them and if people would
- 7:17Speaker 2: requesting them. So y'all keep doing what you're doing. If
- 7:21Speaker 2: you are a king, I'm putting a plea out for
- 7:24Speaker 2: my men, for my black and brown men, y'all. I
- 7:30Speaker 2: know all of us, all of you guys, are not fathers.
- 7:34Speaker 2: So that's why I don't just celebrate Father's Day. For
- 7:37Speaker 2: the last five years since we created the magazine, well
- 7:41Speaker 2: for the last four years because the first year we
- 7:43Speaker 2: did not. But for the last four years since the
- 7:46Speaker 2: creation of the magazine, we have been taking the month
- 7:49Speaker 2: of June and just truly honoring our kings. So if
- 7:54Speaker 2: you're out there, if you get featured in the magazine,
- 7:57Speaker 2: we're also going to feature you on our blog. I
- 8:00Speaker 2: also want to I want to personally interview you because
- 8:03Speaker 2: I want to tell your story. I want to share
- 8:05Speaker 2: your story and be able to share your story around
- 8:08Speaker 2: the various outlets that we use to push out our
- 8:13Speaker 2: message and to get our message across. Don't think that
- 8:19Speaker 2: this is just something light. You know, if you're doing
- 8:22Speaker 2: something to impact, if you're doing something that is making
- 8:26Speaker 2: a difference, like people need to know. People need to
- 8:29Speaker 2: know your story, people need to know how you are surviving.
- 8:34Speaker 2: I am so because society has really really disappointed me
- 8:40Speaker 2: when it comes to our men, our kings. They have
- 8:46Speaker 2: made our men feel as if we don't need them
- 8:51Speaker 2: or we don't want them. Y'all. I'll be the first
- 8:54Speaker 2: to tell you I love my Black kings and I
- 8:57Speaker 2: would not trade them for the world. I love me
- 9:01Speaker 2: a black man that is a leader that is leading
- 9:07Speaker 2: by example and it's taking charge. You know, a lot
- 9:11Speaker 2: of people, you know, they find it hard. They say
- 9:15Speaker 2: women don't want to be submissive. Now, well, if you
- 9:19Speaker 2: have a king that is leading, then you would want
- 9:24Speaker 2: to be submissive, because who wants to be in charge
- 9:28Speaker 2: all the time. I don't you know, I get us
- 9:32Speaker 2: wanting to be independent and wanting to be on your
- 9:36Speaker 2: own in some areas. But y'all, I need me a
- 9:40Speaker 2: black king. I don't need I don't. I need me
- 9:44Speaker 2: a black king too to be my support, because that's
- 9:48Speaker 2: it's a man that finds a wife, finds a good thing.
- 9:52Speaker 2: So I'm waiting for I'm waiting for my husband to
- 9:59Speaker 2: come on and show me, show me that good thing,
- 10:03Speaker 2: show me that I am his good thing, so that
- 10:05Speaker 2: we can make this thing happen. So yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes,
- 10:10Speaker 2: y'all port your king. If you have a man in
- 10:15Speaker 2: your life and he is doing amazing things, and it
- 10:20Speaker 2: may seem like it it's small, it may seem like
- 10:25Speaker 2: it is nothing. But if he's doing something, y'all think
- 10:28Speaker 2: about it. He's not in prison, he's not out in
- 10:31Speaker 2: the streets, he's not in gangs, he's not on drugs,
- 10:34Speaker 2: he's not doing If he's doing anything positive, we should
- 10:38Speaker 2: be supporting him, We should be uplifting him, We should
- 10:41Speaker 2: be encouraging him to keep going because your society truly
- 10:45Speaker 2: have let our black men down. If you look at
- 10:48Speaker 2: the disparity of the percentage of our black men that
- 10:54Speaker 2: are behind prison walls versus other races, and you know,
- 11:00Speaker 2: people don't want to talk about and don't want it
- 11:03Speaker 2: to make it a race thing, but y'all just be honest.
- 11:07Speaker 2: We just got to be honest with ourselves. And if
- 11:10Speaker 2: we just look at what is happening and then we
- 11:14Speaker 2: complain about the prison system, we complain about the prison system,
- 11:17Speaker 2: they don't care. We gotta understand that if we don't
- 11:21Speaker 2: stay on these people, we don't do what we have
- 11:23Speaker 2: to do, they don't care. Because if we go back
- 11:27Speaker 2: and we trace the history of why these people created
- 11:30Speaker 2: these things, why these things are even in existence, then
- 11:34Speaker 2: we would truly understand why they don't care. Prison system
- 11:40Speaker 2: was truly set up to keep runaway slaves. That's what
- 11:48Speaker 2: jails were for, to house runaway slaves. And this is
- 11:54Speaker 2: what they continue to do. They continue to use the
- 11:58Speaker 2: prison system as a form of slavery because you go there,
- 12:02Speaker 2: you gotta work, you get no pay. They feed you
- 12:06Speaker 2: when they want to feed you what they want to
- 12:08Speaker 2: feed you, If they feed you how they want to
- 12:10Speaker 2: feed you, what they want to feed you. I have
- 12:12Speaker 2: an issue with that. I have an issue with you know. Yeah,
- 12:16Speaker 2: we all make mistakes, and a lot of us that
- 12:19Speaker 2: the truth be told, a lot of us we should
- 12:22Speaker 2: be behind those prison walls. But by the grace of God,
- 12:26Speaker 2: his grace and his mercy, we didn't have to end
- 12:28Speaker 2: up behind those prison walls. But for that person that
- 12:33Speaker 2: is there, they got caught. They they're doing their time.
- 12:37Speaker 2: But if we look back over our life and be
- 12:40Speaker 2: honest with ourselves, then we need to learn how to forgive,
- 12:47Speaker 2: you know, and understand that everybody can make a mistake.
- 12:52Speaker 2: And just because you're free today don't mean you'll be
- 12:54Speaker 2: free tomorrow. And then not only that, the judicial system
- 13:01Speaker 2: period is not set up for none of us. Yet
- 13:06Speaker 2: we run from it when we should be the ones
- 13:10Speaker 2: that are knocking down the doors to get in position
- 13:15Speaker 2: so that we can begin to change some of this
- 13:17Speaker 2: stuff that we're seeing happens. You know, we vote, We are,
- 13:22Speaker 2: at least some of us say we vote, and we're
- 13:25Speaker 2: active in our community. We're doing things in our community.
- 13:27Speaker 2: But really, how are we trying to really make that change?
- 13:32Speaker 2: And then we look to certain people that are doing
- 13:35Speaker 2: things and then we want to lay it all on
- 13:38Speaker 2: them when we have all been given a charge God,
- 13:42Speaker 2: We've all been given a charge. We've all been given
- 13:44Speaker 2: something a mandate over our life that we're supposed to
- 13:48Speaker 2: be doing, that we're supposed to be impacting lives. You know,
- 13:52Speaker 2: sometimes I find myself all over the place because God
- 13:55Speaker 2: has given me so many things, and He just keep
- 13:57Speaker 2: dropping things in my spirit for you know, reaching our people.
- 14:03Speaker 2: Because I me personally, I can say I had great
- 14:09Speaker 2: I had a great family. I had an amazing I
- 14:13Speaker 2: say I had an amazing upbringing up until my mom passed.
- 14:21Speaker 2: You know, after my mom passed, it was just like
- 14:24Speaker 2: I was on my own. I had my sisters, I
- 14:27Speaker 2: had my older sister, my older brothers, and I had
- 14:30Speaker 2: my aunts. But I if I didn't get it, then
- 14:37Speaker 2: I had to learn on my own. And I'm grateful
- 14:39Speaker 2: that my mom shared a lot of things with me,
- 14:41Speaker 2: because yeah, I could have been one of those people
- 14:45Speaker 2: that ended up in the system, but I didn't end
- 14:48Speaker 2: up in the system. I'm grateful for that. But for
- 14:51Speaker 2: so many of us we end up in the system
- 14:55Speaker 2: because we're in We end up in foster care, we
- 14:58Speaker 2: end up in juvenile up in prison system. And once
- 15:02Speaker 2: you become a product of one of these facilita, one
- 15:05Speaker 2: of these systems, then it seemed like you just you
- 15:09Speaker 2: go from one system to the other, one system to
- 15:10Speaker 2: the other. You see a lot of people that come
- 15:13Speaker 2: through the fossil system, they also end up in the
- 15:15Speaker 2: prison system. And y'all, we as black and brown people,
- 15:20Speaker 2: we got to look at these things. But we we
- 15:23Speaker 2: got to take a hard look at really, what are
- 15:27Speaker 2: we doing to make a difference or are we still
- 15:31Speaker 2: depending on other people because a lot of us, we
- 15:35Speaker 2: still have that slave mentality. A lot of us are
- 15:39Speaker 2: still waiting for other people to do stuff for us
- 15:43Speaker 2: and for other people to make a difference so that
- 15:46Speaker 2: we can come out of what we're in. Y'all, that's
- 15:50Speaker 2: not gonna happen, just like there's nothing new that is
- 15:53Speaker 2: gonna fall from the sky. Like everything that has already
- 15:57Speaker 2: been mapped out for you. Your your life has been
- 16:01Speaker 2: mapped out, your destiny has been mapped out. It's up
- 16:03Speaker 2: to you to make those choices. See, he give us
- 16:06Speaker 2: free will, and when we begin to make these choices,
- 16:09Speaker 2: and we begin to make these decisions in our life
- 16:12Speaker 2: that that determines which route we go when it's time
- 16:16Speaker 2: for us to walk in our destiny. See, if we
- 16:19Speaker 2: listen to him, then we can stay on the straight
- 16:21Speaker 2: and narrow. But then when we start having these these
- 16:25Speaker 2: we wanna go with this friend, we want to go
- 16:27Speaker 2: with this friend, We want to listen to this person,
- 16:29Speaker 2: we want to listen to that person. Then we start
- 16:31Speaker 2: free willing and we start going our own routes. And
- 16:35Speaker 2: then we have to understand that we have to suffer
- 16:38Speaker 2: those consequences. We have to go through those consequences. We
- 16:41Speaker 2: have to deal with those things that is laid before us.
- 16:47Speaker 2: And that is what's happened. You know, we look at
- 16:51Speaker 2: in the eighties the government, because we all know the
- 16:55Speaker 2: government is behind a lot of the stuff that is happening.
- 17:00Speaker 2: But we know the government when we came out of slavery,
- 17:04Speaker 2: they mainuly told us that we can provide you some housing,
- 17:09Speaker 2: we can provide you this, we can provide this, we
- 17:11Speaker 2: can provide that, we can provide that. But the butck
- 17:16Speaker 2: came in when they said, oh, but you can't have
- 17:18Speaker 2: no man. That immediately began to break down the family,
- 17:26Speaker 2: so you can't have no man if you want these things.
- 17:30Speaker 2: So then that's what began to pull the man out
- 17:32Speaker 2: of the house because a lot of these coming out
- 17:35Speaker 2: of slavery and coming out a lot of people didn't
- 17:38Speaker 2: have resources. They didn't have the job skills, they didn't
- 17:41Speaker 2: have the funds, they didn't have a lot of stuff,
- 17:44Speaker 2: so they truly had to depend on the government. But
- 17:48Speaker 2: now we understand, we want you know better, y'all, we
- 17:53Speaker 2: can do better, and we're in a place now. But
- 17:57Speaker 2: we listen to them because what did they tell us.
- 17:59Speaker 2: They said, well, if you if you want to be
- 18:02Speaker 2: like us, because it's if you want to be like us,
- 18:05Speaker 2: because they think that they are the poor one race.
- 18:08Speaker 2: If you want to be like us, get a job,
- 18:10Speaker 2: go to school, get you a little white picket sents,
- 18:13Speaker 2: a house with a little white picket sents, and have
- 18:17Speaker 2: your two three children, and you have arrived. That is
- 18:20Speaker 2: the American dream. No, so far from it, So far
- 18:25Speaker 2: from it. Because you buy a house, you got to
- 18:27Speaker 2: pay on it for the rest of your life, because
- 18:29Speaker 2: you got to. If you don't pay them taxes, they
- 18:31Speaker 2: gonna come get it. So it's not the American dream.
- 18:35Speaker 2: It's a lot of things that they have portrayed and
- 18:38Speaker 2: put out before us that is not the dream. That
- 18:42Speaker 2: is not what life is. That is not what living is.
- 18:48Speaker 2: So I want those generations that's coming after us, I
- 18:55Speaker 2: want them to see, you know, because the Word said
- 18:58Speaker 2: we should do greater works. How would these individuals know
- 19:02Speaker 2: about the greater works if we don't leave the evidence
- 19:05Speaker 2: of the things that God allowed us to do, the
- 19:08Speaker 2: things that we were able to overcome, the oppostacles that
- 19:12Speaker 2: we were able to step over. See, we got we
- 19:16Speaker 2: gotta leave the evidence and we gotta be able to
- 19:19Speaker 2: show people what we did. So we're doing that, y'all
- 19:25Speaker 2: in the magazines. We have magazines, we have podcasts now,
- 19:29Speaker 2: we have magazines, We got books, we have everything. We
- 19:33Speaker 2: are an outlet for you to be able to share.
- 19:37Speaker 2: So for all my kings, calling all my kings and
- 19:40Speaker 2: all my queens that want to honor. If you have
- 19:43Speaker 2: a king in your life that is doing amazing things
- 19:48Speaker 2: and you feel like he deserves to be recognized, that
- 19:53Speaker 2: somebody need to know who he is. We have men
- 19:57Speaker 2: that have businesses, we have men that are authors, We
- 20:01Speaker 2: have men that are are are doing great things is
- 20:04Speaker 2: in the community. We have men that are leading in
- 20:09Speaker 2: in on their jobs in different arenas. Like I'm so
- 20:17Speaker 2: proud of these men that are a part of the
- 20:21Speaker 2: one hundred author movement because they lead in different ways.
- 20:25Speaker 2: We have doctor Wendell. We have Doctor Brian. We have
- 20:28Speaker 2: doctor Carry. We have Elijah. We have doctor Josiah. We
- 20:35Speaker 2: have Robert, mister Robert. We have uh, I'm trying to
- 20:43Speaker 2: name him off the top of my head, Reverend Edward.
- 20:46Speaker 2: We have Apostle Thomas. We have Zacharo Zach He is
- 20:56Speaker 2: a podcaster. He's one of my fellow pop podcast hosts
- 21:01Speaker 2: over on the wb n N. Also, y'all, he is
- 21:04Speaker 2: getting ready to join them Kings of the Airways, y'all,
- 21:10Speaker 2: I'm excited. I'm excited because we are launching a new well,
- 21:16Speaker 2: it's not a new platform, it's addition. We're adding a
- 21:20Speaker 2: seven o'clock lineup. That's gonna Our men are gonna come
- 21:26Speaker 2: on first. They're gonna be coming on at seven o'clock hour,
- 21:29Speaker 2: and then, of course our Queens of the Airways are
- 21:31Speaker 2: gonna still be coming on at eight o'clock. But y'all,
- 21:34Speaker 2: we're revamping over here. We are expanding we're allowing some
- 21:38Speaker 2: more voices to come and be a part of what
- 21:40Speaker 2: we're doing. And not only that, y'all, we're getting out
- 21:43Speaker 2: in the community. So if you are hosting events and
- 21:48Speaker 2: you need individuals to come EMC, you need individuals to
- 21:51Speaker 2: come host your event, host your red carpet, whatever you need.
- 21:57Speaker 2: If you need individuals that are willing to come out
- 22:01Speaker 2: and be a active part of your event to help
- 22:05Speaker 2: highlight your event, to bring some more exposure to your event,
- 22:08Speaker 2: we definitely will like that opportunity to partner with you,
- 22:12Speaker 2: to come out and help you amplify your voice and
- 22:19Speaker 2: you know, make this, make this thing happen together. So
- 22:23Speaker 2: I definitely encourage you to connect with them Divus and
- 22:28Speaker 2: them Kings, y'all. Our Kings are coming in July, y'all.
- 22:33Speaker 2: We got a lot of new things that are going
- 22:36Speaker 2: to be dropping, some things that have been revamped, and
- 22:40Speaker 2: we're relaunching. We have a lot of stuff going on
- 22:44Speaker 2: over here. But it's all it's all for our good
- 22:48Speaker 2: and all to still bring God glory because in everything
- 22:52Speaker 2: I do, I acknowledge Him and I have to reference
- 22:56Speaker 2: him because if it was not for him, y'all, none
- 22:59Speaker 2: of the stuff that I do would be possible because
- 23:01Speaker 2: I'm telling you who am I, and Lord knows the
- 23:05Speaker 2: journey I've had. I tell you, if he will take
- 23:09Speaker 2: a ranch like me and allow me to do some
- 23:12Speaker 2: of the things that I do. I tell you, if
- 23:16Speaker 2: you don't keep moving, you don't keep walking in your destiny.
- 23:21Speaker 2: I'm telling you you'll catch up to it soon if
- 23:23Speaker 2: you keep going. Don't quit. I don't care what it
- 23:26Speaker 2: looked like. I don't care what it feels like. Don't quit,
- 23:29Speaker 2: because guess what, when you're doing something right, the enemy's
- 23:34Speaker 2: gonna come. Them. Imps are gonna be on your heel
- 23:37Speaker 2: because they know that you're moving for the kingdom and
- 23:40Speaker 2: you're making things shape. I tell you the enemy being busy.
- 23:44Speaker 2: Y'all know, we stay on the wall every morning five am.
- 23:48Speaker 2: We're on five a m. Prayer. I may be late
- 23:51Speaker 2: some morning, and I've missed a couple of morning. But
- 23:55Speaker 2: five years, I can tell you on one hand, well
- 23:59Speaker 2: maybe two, I can tell you how many times I missed,
- 24:02Speaker 2: not many within five years, and I've definitely seen God move.
- 24:07Speaker 2: I've definitely seen what he will do for our sacrifice
- 24:12Speaker 2: and our obedience. So I'm telling you, guys, connect with

- 29:51Speaker 2: my stomping ground area, but we are headed to Spartanburg,
- 29:56Speaker 2: South Carolina. Excited about that. Cannot wait to go and
- 30:04Speaker 2: help Trevita celebrate the launch of her new book as
- 30:08Speaker 2: well as celebrating my friend, her mom, Mama Afridia, my
- 30:15Speaker 2: purple lip friend. I am so honored and so glad
- 30:21Speaker 2: to be able to celebrate her birthday because I had
- 30:25Speaker 2: an opportunity to meet this queen and I didn't know
- 30:31Speaker 2: her long, but it felt like I know her all
- 30:34Speaker 2: my life. Even now when I see those tears start
- 30:41Speaker 2: to flow from Trevida's eyes, y'all, I want to break
- 30:45Speaker 2: down in Tier two because I remember those days when
- 30:48Speaker 2: we started our training and I remember those days when
- 30:51Speaker 2: she would come on that training with us, and I
- 30:54Speaker 2: had to make call an honorary host and allow her
- 30:57Speaker 2: to have her own show, just from the impact that
- 31:00Speaker 2: she made on me in those times that we shared
- 31:05Speaker 2: doing those training calls. And it was right before we
- 31:09Speaker 2: launched the podcast. We was doing training getting ready for
- 31:13Speaker 2: the lunch of the podcast. We hadn't even launched the podcast, shit, y'all.
- 31:18Speaker 2: So I am. I'm just grateful to be in a
- 31:21Speaker 2: place where I can go and help her celebrate her
- 31:24Speaker 2: mom and I hope that we could meet some of
- 31:27Speaker 2: you guys out there, come on out to Spartanburg, South
- 31:29Speaker 2: Carolina and celebrate with us, y'all. This is Trevitas first
- 31:34Speaker 2: book lunch. She's never had a book lunch, and I
- 31:37Speaker 2: think the baby got about seven or eight, maybe ten
- 31:39Speaker 2: books out. She's been a part of a couple anthologies
- 31:43Speaker 2: as well, but this is going to be her first
- 31:47Speaker 2: book lunch and birthday celebration for her mom. So, y'all,
- 31:51Speaker 2: if you can, if you and Anderson Greenville Spartanburg, if
- 31:55Speaker 2: you are an author, you are a business owner, this
- 31:58Speaker 2: is your opportunity. This is your opportunity to come out,
- 32:02Speaker 2: showcase your brand, share, connect, collaborate, create, y'all. We community building,
- 32:11Speaker 2: So come on out and support Queen Trevida as she
- 32:15Speaker 2: celebrate her mom's sixty sixth birthday. There's a lot of
- 32:20Speaker 2: messages within the title, within the day, within all of that,
- 32:26Speaker 2: so y'all come out and here's some of what Tareda
- 32:30Speaker 2: has to share with us, y'all. And then we are
- 32:33Speaker 2: headed to New York in August. Yeah, y'all, we back
- 32:36Speaker 2: to back. We headed to New York in August the
- 32:40Speaker 2: twenty ninth through the thirty first. It's our al tentative plans.
- 32:46Speaker 2: The twenty ninth, we're planning on doing a meet and
- 32:49Speaker 2: Greek for those that want to that are coming in
- 32:51Speaker 2: early on that Friday. We just want to get everybody together.
- 32:55Speaker 2: We do not have a solidified place where we're going
- 32:58Speaker 2: to be meeting yet, and maybe just we're meeting for
- 33:01Speaker 2: dinner and go and sit down and eat. Just come
- 33:04Speaker 2: together and eat together, or we may try to go
- 33:09Speaker 2: and meet at a bookstore and and just have some
- 33:12Speaker 2: oders and just mingle and just have amazing time. But Saturday, y'all,
- 33:21Speaker 2: is the main event. Saturday is the main event. I'm
- 33:24Speaker 2: excited about this because we have we have some things
- 33:27Speaker 2: lined up for you guys. We're actually gonna have a
- 33:32Speaker 2: guest that's gonna be coming out, that's gonna be sharing.
- 33:35Speaker 2: I'm I'm gonna wait and let Charlotte announce this guest,
- 33:39Speaker 2: because Charlotte was the main person behind connecting with this guest,
- 33:45Speaker 2: So I'm gonna let her announce it. She's gonna be
- 33:48Speaker 2: announcing it soon, hopefully. I had an opportunity to really
- 33:53Speaker 2: sit and talk with this amazing individual, and I'm excited.
- 33:58Speaker 2: I'm excited, and they felt they felt the vision, they
- 34:04Speaker 2: felt it, and I'm excited that we were able to connect.
- 34:09Speaker 2: I know that this won't be the only thing that
- 34:11Speaker 2: we're doing together. There are probably going to be many
- 34:15Speaker 2: more projects to come just because of just that connection,
- 34:20Speaker 2: just that conversation. And I'm looking to have that conversation
- 34:23Speaker 2: with so many more of you guys, because y'all, this
- 34:26Speaker 2: is the season for us to really connect, collaborate, create
- 34:32Speaker 2: in community. Bill, So I'm here. I'm here for it.
- 34:38Speaker 2: I am looking for some ambassadors for the magazine, y'all.
- 34:41Speaker 2: We're looking for some ambassadors for the magazine to really
- 34:45Speaker 2: help us to get these stories that need to be shared.
- 34:50Speaker 2: So if you no individuals that may want to write
- 34:54Speaker 2: for the magazine, we need some writers. We want some
- 34:57Speaker 2: more writers. We need some more perspective, we need some
- 35:00Speaker 2: more insight. Shot out to those that have been a
- 35:03Speaker 2: part who y'all patries have been holding it down since
- 35:10Speaker 2: we started. She had been on the crew on the
- 35:14Speaker 2: magazine since we started. Apostle Kimberly. I think this is
- 35:20Speaker 2: her third year. Mela Grows, who no longer rights for
- 35:28Speaker 2: the magazine, but was one of the most beneficial persons
- 35:33Speaker 2: for the magazine. And I tell you she really really
- 35:38Speaker 2: helped me hold this magazine down in the beginning as well.
- 35:42Speaker 2: She started with me. She was with me for about
- 35:44Speaker 2: three years until I have started declining. I think three
- 35:49Speaker 2: or four years, maybe four years, and then three years,
- 35:52Speaker 2: three years and then we have Charlotte joined us last year.
- 35:58Speaker 2: We have micher Vera who joined us this year, and
- 36:04Speaker 2: then our new poet of the year, and then we have,
- 36:09Speaker 2: of course, we have Cornell who writes for us for
- 36:12Speaker 2: time to time for the Free Texas Campaign. Channette also
- 36:17Speaker 2: writes for articles for the Free Free Texas Campaign, which
- 36:22Speaker 2: is just not for the state of Texas. Y'all. They
- 36:26Speaker 2: really get out and do a lot of stuff. Y'all
- 36:29Speaker 2: know that Chanette is the host of Let's Talk About
- 36:34Speaker 2: It and Cornell is actually the founder co founder of
- 36:39Speaker 2: the Free Texas Campaign. They are co hosts on Channette's show, Schanette.
- 36:46Speaker 2: Schanette allows Cornell to be her co host because he's
- 36:50Speaker 2: very insightful and he has a lot of things that
- 36:54Speaker 2: he can share for those that have been incarcerated, those
- 36:57Speaker 2: that are incarcerated, and those family members of those that
- 37:00Speaker 2: are incarcerated. Things how you can advocate, how you can
- 37:04Speaker 2: stay abreast of what's going on, and how you can
- 37:09Speaker 2: just you stay on these people about your loved one.
- 37:13Speaker 2: But y'all, I am getting ready to jump off. I know,
- 37:16Speaker 2: I know, I was all over the place, but everything
- 37:20Speaker 2: is it come to me. I'll just drop it. I
- 37:21Speaker 2: just drop it as drop in my mind. I just
- 37:23Speaker 2: drop it. I know I probably forgot some things, but
- 37:28Speaker 2: y'all charge it to my mind and not my heart,
- 37:32Speaker 2: because I truly love each and every one of y'all,
- 37:35Speaker 2: and I thank you for your support. Remember, if you
- 37:38Speaker 2: have a king in your life, y'all, this is the
- 37:42Speaker 2: time to allow him to be featured inside of our magazine.
- 37:48Speaker 2: We're honoring our Black and Brown Kings for the month
- 37:52Speaker 2: of June. We've been doing it now for going on
- 38:01Speaker 2: four years. This is going to be our fourth year,
- 38:05Speaker 2: so we are honoring our black and Brown kings. If
- 38:08Speaker 2: you have a king in your life, go ahead, get
- 38:12Speaker 2: him a one page feature inside of the magazine and
- 38:17Speaker 2: allow his brand to speak, allow what he's doing to speak,
- 38:24Speaker 2: allow him to create and leave a legacy for those
- 38:27Speaker 2: that are coming behind him. This is a way that
- 38:30Speaker 2: you can celebrate him for the month of June for
- 38:34Speaker 2: Father's Day. We know that Father's Day is in June,
- 38:38Speaker 2: and for those that are fathers, this also can be
- 38:44Speaker 2: another award, another something that you can do to amplify
- 38:50Speaker 2: the fact that they are a great father as well.
- 38:53Speaker 2: But it is not for just the fathers. It is
- 38:55Speaker 2: for all men. Because not all men or fathers or dads,
- 39:00Speaker 2: and we want to honor them and let them know
- 39:03Speaker 2: that we appreciate them because oftentime they get overlooked. So please,
- 39:11Speaker 2: y'all share this out, Share this out, share this out again.
- 39:15Speaker 2: I hope that there is something that I have shared
- 39:18Speaker 2: on today that have been a benefit to you guys,
- 39:22Speaker 2: and that you guys would take it and share with
- 39:26Speaker 2: your loved ones. Again, I am out of here. Y'all
- 39:31Speaker 2: have a great one.
