• 0:06
Speaker 2: even one dollar. I can't judge one dollar, can't judge
• 0:09
Speaker 2: a dollar, can't judge one dollar to any country under AIPAH.
• 0:13
Speaker 1: Not one dollar. I assume to protect other countries.
• 0:17
Speaker 2: This must have been done to protect those other countries,
• 0:19
Speaker 2: certainly not the United States of America.
• 0:21

Speaker 4: imposing a ten percent global tariff after the Supreme Court

• 1:04
Speaker 4: President Trump announcing that he is imposing that ten percent
• 1:07
Speaker 4: global tariff on top of tariff's already in place because
• 1:12
Speaker 4: the Supreme Court struck down his duties imposed under the
• 1:16
Speaker 4: International Emergency Economic Powers Act. Trump announcement came during a
• 1:21
Speaker 4: press briefing at the White House that they scheduled on
• 1:24
Speaker 4: short notice. This after the six' three ruling against those,
• 1:28
Speaker 4: tariffs in Which Chief Justice John, Roberts Justice, Gorsich Amy
• 1:34
Speaker 4: Cony barrett sided with liberal judges to rule Against President Donald.
• 1:39
Speaker 4: TRUMP i want you to hear what The president had
• 1:42
Speaker 4: to say is he was fighting.
• 1:43
Speaker 2: Back TODAY i will sign in order to impose a
• 1:46
Speaker 2: ten percent global tariff Under section one twenty two over
• 1:50
Speaker 2: and above are normal tariffs already being, charged and we're
• 1:55
Speaker 2: also initiating Several section three oh one and other instigations
• 2:01
Speaker 2: to protect our country from unfair trading practices of other
• 2:06
Speaker 2: countries and. COMPANIES a new. Record we set a record every. Time,
• 2:11
Speaker 2: well thank you very much for being. Here The Supreme
• 2:15
Speaker 2: court's ruling on tariffs is deeply, disappointing And i'm ashamed
• 2:22
Speaker 2: of certain members of The, court absolutely ashamed for not
• 2:26
Speaker 2: having the courage to do what's right for our. Country
• 2:30
Speaker 2: i'd like to thank and Congratulate Justices, Thomas alito And
• 2:33
Speaker 2: kavanaugh for their strength and wisdom and love of our,
• 2:38
Speaker 2: country which is right now very proud of those. Justices
• 2:43
Speaker 2: when you read the dissenting, opinions there's no way that anyone.
• 2:46
Speaker 1: Can argue against. Them there's no.
• 2:49
Speaker 2: Way foreign countries that have been ripping us off for
• 2:52
  Speaker 2: years are.
• 2:54
Speaker 1: Ecstatic they're so happy and they're dancing in the. Streets
• 2:58
Speaker 1: but they won't be dancing for. Long THAT i can assure.
• 3:01
Speaker 2: You The democrats on The court are, thrilled but they
• 3:06
Speaker 2: will automatically vote. No they're an automatic, now just like In.
• 3:09
Speaker 2: Congress they're an automatic. No they're against anything that Makes america, strong,
• 3:14
Speaker 2: healthy and great. Again they also are a frankly disgrace
• 3:20
Speaker 2: to our, nation those.
• 3:21
Speaker 1: Justices they're an automatic. No no matter how good a
• 3:24
Speaker 1: case you, have it, Said, no you can't knock their.
• 3:27
Speaker 1: Loyalty it's one thing you can do with some of our.
• 3:32
Speaker 2: People others think they're being politically, correct which has happened
• 3:36
Speaker 2: before far too often with certain.
• 3:39
Speaker 1: Members of This, court and it's happened so often with This.
• 3:42
Speaker 2: Court what a shame having to do with voting in,
• 3:46
Speaker 2: particular when in fact they're just being fools and lapdogs
• 3:50
Speaker 2: for The rhinos and the radical Left, democrats and not
• 3:54
Speaker 2: that they should have anything at all to do with.
• 3:56
Speaker 2: It they're very unpatriotic and disloyal to our. Institution it's
• 4:01
Speaker 2: my opinion that The court has been swayed by foreign
• 4:05
Speaker 2: interest and a political movement that is far smaller than
• 4:08
  Speaker 2: people would ever.
• 4:09
Speaker 1: Think it's a small. MOVEMENT i won by millions of.
• 4:12
Speaker 2: Votes we won in a landslide with all the cheating
• 4:15
Speaker 2: that went, on there was a lot of. It but
• 4:17
Speaker 2: we still want in a landslide too big to. Rick
• 4:19
Speaker 2: but these people are, obnoxious ignorant and. Loud they're very,
• 4:22
Speaker 2: loud AND i think certain justices are afraid of. That
• 4:27
Speaker 2: they don't want to do the right. Thing they're afraid of.
• 4:30
Speaker 2: It this was an important case to me more as
• 4:34
Speaker 2: a symbol of economic national, security and ALSO i would
• 4:39
Speaker 2: say just for a country, itself so important because we're
• 4:42
Speaker 2: doing so well as a. Country we've never done so.
• 4:45
Speaker 2: Well the good news is that there are, methods, practices,
• 4:50
Speaker 2: statutes and authorities as recognized by the Entire court in
• 4:54
Speaker 2: this terrible, decision and also is recognized By, congress which
• 5:00
Speaker 2: refer to that are even stronger than THE aipa tariffs
• 5:04
Speaker 2: available to me As president of The United, states and in,
• 5:08
Speaker 2: ACTUALITY i was very modest in my ask of other
• 5:11
Speaker 2: countries and businesses BECAUSE i wanted to do.
• 5:16
  Speaker 1: And it's very.
• 5:16
Speaker 2: IMPORTANT i wanted to be very well behaved BECAUSE i
• 5:21
Speaker 2: wanted to do. ANYTHING i didn't want to do anything
• 5:23
Speaker 2: that would affect the decision of the, court BECAUSE i
• 5:26
  Speaker 2: understand the.
• 5:27
Speaker 1: COURT i understand how they are very easily. SWAYED i
• 5:31
Speaker 1: want to be a good.
• 5:32
Speaker 2: BOY i have very effectively utilized tariffs over the past
• 5:37
Speaker 2: year to Make america great. Again our stock market has
• 5:41
Speaker 2: just recently broken fifty thousand on The dow and simultaneously
• 5:46
Speaker 2: and even more amazingly broken seventy broken seven thousand on
• 5:52
Speaker 2: THE s AND. P two numbers that everybody thought upon
• 5:54
Speaker 2: our landslide election victory could not be. Attained that nobody
• 6:01
Speaker 2: thought it was possible to do it within four, years
• 6:03
Speaker 2: and we did it in one.
• 6:05
Speaker 1: Year they said you'll never be. Able you go back and.
• 6:08
Speaker 2: You read the, geniuses read their, statements all of The
• 6:12
Speaker 2: Nobel prize winners in. Economics they, said, no you couldn't
• 6:15
Speaker 2: do it in four. Years, well we didn't do it
• 6:18
  Speaker 2: in four.
• 6:18
Speaker 1: Years we did it in one.
• 6:19
Speaker 2: Year we broke every record in the book and were
• 6:22
Speaker 2: continuing to do. So tariffs have likewise been used to
• 6:26
Speaker 2: end five of the eight wars THAT i SETT i
• 6:29
Speaker 2: settled eight, wars whether you like it or, not Including
• 6:32
  Speaker 2: India pakistan big.
• 6:34
Speaker 1: Ones nuclear could have been.
• 6:36
Speaker 2: Nuclear Prime Minister pakistan said yesterday at The Great meeting
• 6:40
  Speaker 2: that we had.
• 6:42
  Speaker 1: Peaceport he said.
• 6:44
Speaker 2: Yesterday That President trump could have saved thirty five million
• 6:47
Speaker 2: lives by getting us to stop. Fighting they were getting
• 6:50
Speaker 2: ready to do some bad. Things but they've given us
• 6:53
Speaker 2: great national. Security these tariffs have and together WITH us strong,
• 6:57
Speaker 2: borders reduced fentanyl coming into country by thirty. Percent WHEN
• 7:02
Speaker 2: i use them as a penalty against countries illegally sending
• 7:05
Speaker 2: this poison into our country to poison our.
• 7:08
Speaker 1: Youth all of those seraphs. Remain they all. REMAIN i
• 7:12
Speaker 1: don't know if you know that or. Not they all.
• 7:14
Speaker 2: Remain we're still getting them and we will after the.
• 7:17
Speaker 2: Decision this is nobody left to appeal. To but, again
• 7:21
Speaker 2: those three people such. Respect i've had a lot of
• 7:24
Speaker 2: respect for them, anyway but such great. Respect but other
• 7:27
Speaker 2: alternatives will now be used to replace the ones that
• 7:29
  Speaker 2: the court incorrectly.
• 7:30
Speaker 1: Rejected we have. Alternatives great alternatives could be more. Money
• 7:35
Speaker 1: we'll take in more money and will be a lot
• 7:37
  Speaker 1: stronger for.
• 7:38
Speaker 2: It we're taking in hundreds of billions of, dollars will
• 7:41
Speaker 2: continue to do so to show you how ridiculous the opinion. Is,
• 7:44
Speaker 2: however the court said That i'm not allowed to charge
• 7:48
  Speaker 2: even one.
• 7:48
  Speaker 1: DOLLAR i can't judge one, dollar can't charge a.
• 7:51
Speaker 2: DOLLAR i would have used one, penny but we don't
• 7:53
  Speaker 2: make the pennies.
• 7:54
  Speaker 1: Anymore we save.
• 7:55
Speaker 2: Money can't charge one dollar to any country UNDER, aipah
• 7:59
  Speaker 2: not one.
• 8:00
Speaker 1: DOLLAR i assume to protect other.
• 8:02
Speaker 2: Countries this must have been done to protect those other,
• 8:04
Speaker 2: countries certainly not The United states Of, america which they
• 8:07
Speaker 2: should be interested in, protecting and that's what they're supposed
• 8:10
Speaker 2: to be. Protecting BUT i am allowed to cut off
• 8:13
Speaker 2: any and all trade or business with that same. Country
• 8:16
Speaker 2: in other, WORDS i can destroy the, TRADE i can
• 8:18
Speaker 2: destroy the. Country i'm even allowed to impose a foreign
• 8:23
  Speaker 2: country destroying.
• 8:24
  Speaker 1: EMBARGO i can.
• 8:25
  Speaker 2: EMBARGO i can do ANYTHING i, Want BUT i can't
• 8:28
Speaker 2: charge one, dollar because that's not what it, says and
• 8:31
Speaker 2: that's not the way it even, READS i can do
• 8:34
Speaker 2: ANYTHING i want to do to, them BUT i can't
• 8:37
Speaker 2: charge any. Money So i'm allowed to destroy the, country
• 8:40
  Speaker 2: BUT i can't charge them a little. FEE i could
• 8:41
Speaker 2: give them a two cent, fee BUT i cannot charge
• 8:46
Speaker 2: under any. CIRCUMSTANCES i cannot charge them. Anything think of.
• 8:50
Speaker 2: That how ridiculous is That i'm allowed to embargo. Them
• 8:53
Speaker 2: i'm allowed to tell them you can't do business in
• 8:55
Speaker 2: The United states. Anymore we want you out of. Here
• 8:58
Speaker 2: but IF i want to charge them ten, DOLLARS i
• 9:00
Speaker 2: can't do. That it's, incorrect their decisions. Incorrect but it
• 9:03
Speaker 2: doesn't matter because we have very powerful alternatives that have.
• 9:07
Speaker 1: Been approved by this.
• 9:08
Speaker 2: Decision you, know they've been approved by the decision for
• 9:11
Speaker 2: those that thought they had. Us and they're saying THAT
• 9:15
Speaker 2: i have the absolute right to, license but not the
• 9:18
Speaker 2: right to charge a license.
• 9:20
Speaker 1: Fee so think of. THAT i have the right to.
• 9:22
Speaker 1: License it's a very powerful. Word in many. Ways license
• 9:25
Speaker 1: is more powerful than. Tariffs in, FACT i was thinking
• 9:27
Speaker 1: about using, it but.
• 9:29
Speaker 2: They came up with the idea THAT i can license
• 9:32
Speaker 2: just like the people that were opposing me told them to,
• 9:35
Speaker 2: do but not the right to charge a license.
• 9:38
Speaker 1: Fee think of? That whoever heard of such a?
• 9:40
Speaker 2: Thing what license has ever been issued without the right
• 9:44
  Speaker 2: to charge a?
• 9:44
Speaker 1: Fee you get a license to charge of, fee it's,
• 9:46
Speaker 1: Automatic but not with this.
• 9:48
Speaker 2: Court but now the court has given me the unquestioned
• 9:51
Speaker 2: right to ban all sorts of things from coming into
• 9:54
Speaker 2: our country to destroy foreign, countries but a much more
• 9:58
Speaker 2: powerful right than many people ever thought we even, had
• 10:02
  Speaker 2: but not.
• 10:03
Speaker 1: The right to charge. Fee how crazy is?
• 10:05
Speaker 2: That our country is the hottest country anywhere in the
• 10:09
Speaker 2: world right, now and it was a dead country one
• 10:11
Speaker 2: and a half years ago under an incompetent. President but
• 10:14
Speaker 2: Now i'm going to go in a different, direction probably
• 10:17
Speaker 2: the direction THAT i should have gone the first.
• 10:21
Speaker 1: Time BUT i read the.
• 10:22
Speaker 2: Language i'm very good at reading, language and it read
• 10:24
Speaker 2: our way one hundred. Percent but Now i'll go the
• 10:27
Speaker 2: WAY i could have gone, originally which is even stronger
• 10:30
Speaker 2: than our original. Choice As Justice, kavanaugh whose stock has
• 10:34
Speaker 2: gone so you have to, See i'm so proud of, him.
• 10:38
  Speaker 1: Wrote in his.
• 10:40
Speaker 2: Descent ALTHOUGH i firmly disagree with the courts holding, today
• 10:44
Speaker 2: the decision might not substantially constrain a president's ability.
• 10:49
Speaker 1: To auder tariffs going.
• 10:50
Speaker 2: Forward SO i think of, that the decision might not substantially,
• 10:56
  Speaker 2: constrain and it.
• 10:57
Speaker 1: Doesn't he's. Right in, FACT i can charge much more
• 11:00
Speaker 1: THAN i was. Charging So i'm going to just.
• 11:02
Speaker 2: Start ALTHOUGH i firmly disagree with the course holding, today
• 11:05
Speaker 2: the decision might not substantially constrain a president's ability to
• 11:10
  Speaker 2: order tariffs going.
• 11:11
Speaker 1: Forward that's because numerous other federal.
• 11:15
Speaker 2: Statutes which is so, true authorized the president to impose
• 11:19
Speaker 2: tariffs and might justify, most if not, all of the
• 11:23
Speaker 2: tariffs issued in this, case even more.
• 11:26
Speaker 1: Tariffs actually those statues. Include think of.
• 11:30
Speaker 2: That those statutes, include for, example The Trade Expansion act
• 11:35
Speaker 2: of nineteen sixty, two section two thirty.
• 11:38
Speaker 1: Two all of these THINGS i know so.
• 11:40
Speaker 2: Well The Trade act of nineteen seventy four sections one
• 11:44
Speaker 2: twenty two two or one to three oh, one and
• 11:47
Speaker 2: The Tariff act of nineteen thirty.
• 11:50
Speaker 1: Section three thirty eight or, clear but it's a little
• 11:52
Speaker 1: bit longer. PROCESS i thought that make things, simple but
• 11:56
Speaker 1: they didn't let us do.
• 11:57
Speaker 2: THAT i would like to thank just this capital is
• 12:00
Speaker 2: frankly his genius and his great, ability very proud of
• 12:04
Speaker 2: that appointment in. Actuality why WHILE i am sure that
• 12:09
Speaker 2: they did not mean to do so The Supreme court's
• 12:12
Speaker 2: decision today made a president's ability to both regulate trade
• 12:16
Speaker 2: and impose tariffs more powerful and more crystal, clear rather than.
• 12:23
Speaker 1: LESS i don't think they meant. That i'm sure they.
• 12:25
Speaker 2: Didn't it's terrible and to think that The democrats who
• 12:29
Speaker 2: opposed this only because they want to go the opposite.
• 12:31
Speaker 2: Way they'd like to pack the. Court they want to
• 12:34
Speaker 2: put on twenty one. People they want to pack the,
• 12:36
Speaker 2: court pack The Supreme. Court maybe they should do. It
• 12:39
Speaker 2: maybe they would be better off if they did.
• 12:41
Speaker 1: It they want to pack the.
• 12:43
Speaker 2: Court they want to do anything to hurt our. Country
• 12:46
Speaker 2: there will no longer be any doubt and the income
• 12:48
Speaker 2: coming in and the protection of our companies and country
• 12:52
Speaker 2: will actually increase because of this.
• 12:54
Speaker 1: DECISION i don't think the court meant, that but that's the.
• 12:57
Speaker 2: Way it is based on a longstanding law and hundreds of,
• 13:01
Speaker 2: victories and even AS i was pointed out, before even
• 13:04
Speaker 2: thousands of victories over the years to the, contrary The
• 13:08
Speaker 2: Supreme court did not overrule. Tariffs they merely overruled a
• 13:12
Speaker 2: particularly use OF aepa tariffs and essentially it's to use
• 13:16
  Speaker 2: to get a.
• 13:17
Speaker 1: FEE i can do, ANYTHING i.
• 13:18
Speaker 2: Want WITH, aepa, ANYTHING i just can't charge anybody for.
• 13:22
Speaker 1: IT i can, LICENSE i just can't charge.
• 13:24
Speaker 2: Them it's, ridiculous but it's okay because we have other,
• 13:27
Speaker 2: ways numerous other. Ways the ability to, block, embargo, restrict,
• 13:34
Speaker 2: license or impose any other condition on a foreign country's
• 13:39
Speaker 2: ability to conduct trade with The United states UNDER aepa has.
• 13:43
Speaker 1: Been fully confirmed by this.
• 13:45
Speaker 2: Decision so now there's no doubt because you, know there
• 13:48
Speaker 2: were a lot of questions about, tariffs because no president
• 13:51
Speaker 2: was smart enough to use them to protect our country
• 13:53
Speaker 2: from those countries and businesses that were ripping us.
• 13:56
Speaker 1: Off you took a look at the deficits that we
• 13:58
Speaker 1: had with some of these.
• 13:59
Speaker 2: Countries was disgraceful what they got away with for, many many.
• 14:03
Speaker 2: Decades but now we, know because this decision affirms all
• 14:06
Speaker 2: those things that some people weren't sure about in order
• 14:10
Speaker 2: to protect and it says, so in order to protect our,
• 14:13
Speaker 2: country a president can actually charge more tariffs THAN i
• 14:17
Speaker 2: was charging in the past period of a year under
• 14:21
Speaker 2: the various tariffs. Authorities so we can use other of the,
• 14:25
Speaker 2: statutes other of the tariff, authorities which have also been
• 14:30
Speaker 2: confirmed and are fully allowed therefore effective immediately all national
• 14:36
Speaker 2: security tariffs Under section two thirty. Two in Existing section
• 14:41
Speaker 2: three h one, tariffs they're, existing they're, there remain in,
• 14:45
Speaker 2: place fully in, place and in full force and. Effect
• 14:49
Speaker 2: TODAY i will sign in order to impose a ten
• 14:51
Speaker 2: percent global tariff Under section one twenty. Two over and
• 14:55
Speaker 2: above are normal tariffs already being. Charged and we're also
• 15:00
Speaker 2: k so initiating Several section three oh one and other
• 15:03
Speaker 2: investigations to protect our country from unfair trading practices of
• 15:09
Speaker 2: other countries and. Companies thank you for your attention to this.
• 15:14
Speaker 2: Matter AND i, say quite, simply Which i've said for
• 15:18
Speaker 2: a long, time Make america great. Again and, interestingly we've
• 15:21
Speaker 2: already made it, great SO i don't have to use.
• 15:24
Speaker 1: That BUT i don't think we'll ever give up on.
• 15:26
Speaker 1: MAG mag is always going to be with. Us if
• 15:29
Speaker 1: you have a few, questions you can let us.
• 15:32
Speaker 4: Go you can hear The president making it clear he's,
• 15:35
Speaker 4: frustrated but he also says he's not backing. Down he's
• 15:39
Speaker 4: going to have these new tariffs that he's going to put,
• 15:41
Speaker 4: on imposing those ten percent tariffs right. Away the ten
• 15:46
Speaker 4: percent global tariff is imposed On friday and is not
• 15:50
Speaker 4: under The, ieppa but Under section one twenty two of
• 15:54
Speaker 4: The Trade act of nineteen seventy, four, which by the,
• 15:58
Speaker 4: Way Brett kavanaugh emphasized another vehicle for imposing tariffs in
• 16:01
Speaker 4: his dissenting. Opinion that's why the present said effective immediately
• 16:06
Speaker 4: all national security Tariffs intersection two thirty two and Existing
• 16:10
Speaker 4: section three oh one tariffs remain in, place fully in,
• 16:13
Speaker 4: place and in full force and. Effect so that is
• 16:17
Speaker 4: the latest The President United hits Of america talking about
