- 0:35Speaker 2: Okay, So if you missed last week's episode, both Eddie
- 0:40Speaker 2: and Kevin claimed they could smoke the best brisket. I
- 0:44Speaker 2: gave them both seventy five dollars to go and buy
- 0:46Speaker 2: the brisket.
- 0:47Speaker 1: Now.
- 0:47Speaker 2: I just need to know do I need to eat
- 0:49Speaker 2: it immediately? Or can I talk about something for a second.
- 0:51Speaker 1: I mean it's up to you. Do you like your
- 0:53Speaker 1: You like your meat hot? That's like it.
- 0:55Speaker 2: You guys know me. I like to meet my mouth,
- 0:57Speaker 2: you know, yeah, it doesn't meet my mouth, but he
- 0:59Speaker 2: knows me. There's one thing everybody says about me, like
- 1:01Speaker 2: you walk out of an office with that been in
- 1:04Speaker 2: He's like, that's the one thing about that guy. He
- 1:05Speaker 2: likes to meet in his mouth.
- 1:10Speaker 3: It's always better warm.
- 1:11Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, okay, fair enough, Kevin, How long did you
- 1:14Speaker 2: cook your meat?
- 1:15Speaker 3: Ten hours?
- 1:17Speaker 1: Thirteen?
- 1:17Speaker 2: Any story behind? I don't know who's his? Hoos. I've
- 1:20Speaker 2: got two plates here. I don't know who's his who's
- 1:21Speaker 2: I can't even look at it and tell who's his
- 1:23Speaker 2: who's I can tell which one looks a little more appealing,
- 1:29Speaker 2: but I don't want to say anything yet. What when
- 1:32Speaker 2: you have in your hand? Don't tell me. You're not
- 1:33Speaker 2: gonna tell me. No, I'm just I'm doing a number system. Okay?
- 1:37Speaker 2: Is that okay? I would think this is number two.
- 1:39Speaker 2: That's not that's.
- 1:40Speaker 1: Number one, number one.
- 1:43Speaker 2: And number two. Okay, so this is number one, number one, okay,
- 1:47Speaker 2: I take it bye to number one.
- 1:49Speaker 1: I don't even know which one's being No.
- 1:52Speaker 2: I thought I was number three, okay, so oh yeah,
- 2:00Speaker 2: is that yours? Not good? I'm all alive.
- 2:08Speaker 1: It's good brisk right there.
- 2:12Speaker 2: I don't know if you guys knows about me. I
- 2:13Speaker 2: love me in my mouth.
- 2:18Speaker 1: Something okay? Okay, so that was what? That was number one?
- 2:22Speaker 2: I mean it was number one, cause I ate it.
- 2:23Speaker 1: Number one.
- 2:24Speaker 2: Band has had to use that number one. Okay, dang,
- 2:29Speaker 2: that was good. Okay, we go to number two, number two. Now,
- 2:35Speaker 2: I'm gonna say this, Number one tasted way better than
- 2:38Speaker 2: I thought it was going to, because it visually did
- 2:42Speaker 2: not look as good as what number two looks like,
- 2:45Speaker 2: only because number two the edges are blackened. And I'm
- 2:50Speaker 2: not even sure if that's what you say about it,
- 2:52Speaker 2: and nobody correct me because then I might know who
- 2:54Speaker 2: it is.
- 2:54Speaker 1: Yeah, no, no correction.
- 2:55Speaker 2: Okay, number two? Can you say blackened? Sorry? Should we
- 3:00Speaker 2: bleep that?
- 3:01Speaker 1: I'm not even gonna make the show? Come on here here, golo.
- 3:14Speaker 1: So both are good.
- 3:17Speaker 2: Here's the thing. They're not just good because I love
- 3:22Speaker 2: meat in my mouth.
- 3:23Speaker 1: Because you do. I do.
- 3:24Speaker 2: That's a thing.
- 3:26Speaker 1: Man. I'm nervous, me too.
- 3:29Speaker 2: To God, don't know. You're both good.
- 3:34Speaker 1: He's going for seconds.
- 3:36Speaker 2: Well, I have to. I gotta clean my palate and
- 3:38Speaker 2: I'm only waiting off the same wine.
- 3:39Speaker 1: But do you have water?
- 3:40Speaker 2: I got.
- 3:43Speaker 1: I guess that's how you clean your palate. Wow Wow, wow,
- 3:47Speaker 1: wow wow. This is close Kevin.
- 3:49Speaker 2: To everybody listening, it's elite type stuff. Nice job, Eddie, Man.
- 3:54Speaker 4: I'm gonna be honest, Kevin, like I was very proud
- 3:58Speaker 4: of what I made, and the fact that it's so
- 4:01Speaker 4: close that's good.
- 4:03Speaker 2: Number two good, it's a big deal.
- 4:06Speaker 5: As good as the first bite, better than the second bite,
- 4:09Speaker 5: or better than the first bite.
- 4:15Speaker 2: It can't be better than the first because now I
- 4:17Speaker 2: know what to expect, but the fact that it could
- 4:19Speaker 2: even It's like the first time you do Heroin, it's awesome, yes, yes, yes, yes,
- 4:23Speaker 2: but if that second time you do Heroin can be close.
- 4:27Speaker 2: Like I'm chasing the dragon around now, boys, chasing that dragon,
- 4:32Speaker 2: get your fix on? Now?
- 4:35Speaker 4: Do you want to do the barbecue sauce now? Or
- 4:37Speaker 4: is it just plain brisket for now?
- 4:38Speaker 2: Okay, First of all, I'm a guy who believes this,
- 4:40Speaker 2: and it's controversial. I believe you put a little sauce
- 4:45Speaker 2: on something, it's always better. Even if it's perfect, it
- 4:46Speaker 2: gets a little more perfect. I love a one sauce.
- 4:48Speaker 2: I love sauces. This is good enough that sauce will
- 4:53Speaker 2: still make it better. But this is good of it
- 4:55Speaker 2: and needs both of them.
- 4:58Speaker 1: Let's skip the sauce.
- 4:59Speaker 2: Then, is taking his second bite. This is the second
- 5:01Speaker 2: bite of number one, number one. He's taking two bites
- 5:06Speaker 2: of number two, and his face says it all. God, dangn.
- 5:15Speaker 3: Have you ever loved me? And your mouth more than
- 5:16Speaker 3: right now?
- 5:17Speaker 1: Well, yeah, what's sixty?
- 5:22Speaker 2: It was a dangerous time for all of it.
- 5:23Speaker 1: It was it was muddy.
- 5:25Speaker 2: We didn't know what was happening.
- 5:30Speaker 1: I'm telling you, it smells good in here.
- 5:33Speaker 2: Amazing, guys. I'm shocked that they're both so good.
- 5:37Speaker 1: I am too. I am actually too so that you're
- 5:39Speaker 1: having a hard time.
- 5:40Speaker 2: I'm having such a hard time because I think in
- 5:43Speaker 2: my head I've got one that's slightly better, but it
- 5:48Speaker 2: only could be the order that I'm eating it too,
- 5:50Speaker 2: So I'm probably gonna have to go back and put
- 5:52Speaker 2: even more meat in my mouth.
- 5:53Speaker 1: Oh okay, okay, but we.
- 5:55Speaker 2: Did bring Dylan in. I know Scooba. Steve is here too.
- 5:59Speaker 2: He's doing by Bone show stuff. Hey, scoobas do you
- 6:01Speaker 2: can you hear me? Can you have them put his
- 6:04Speaker 2: headphones on real quick?
- 6:06Speaker 1: Hey?
- 6:06Speaker 2: What's up? Do you enjoy meet in your mouth? Yeah?
- 6:10Speaker 1: Okay, his face is so scared. Yeah, we're having him.
- 6:15Speaker 2: We're having him meat off. We don't know whose meat
- 6:17Speaker 2: is who. Both Eddie and Kevin smoked a brisket and
- 6:23Speaker 2: would you mind sampling a piece and just telling me
- 6:28Speaker 2: which one you like better? And Dylan same for you,
- 6:31Speaker 2: but we're not showing Dylan, right, No, No, those two
- 6:34Speaker 2: don't need to know who's who one showing.
- 6:37Speaker 1: His face Dylan? Right? Is he masked? Dylan.
- 6:39Speaker 2: Here's the thing about Dylan, He's hidden, He's secret. And
- 6:49Speaker 2: I made the joke that Dylan's face will never be seen.
- 6:51Speaker 2: And then someone just searched to I follow on Instagram
- 6:53Speaker 2: and I follow Dylan, so no longer masked. Know, it
- 7:00Speaker 2: was just you can show Yeah, we can show that.
- 7:02Speaker 2: All right, Okay, there's Dylan. Hey Dylan, Okay, uh, Dylan, yes,
- 7:08Speaker 2: you go first. I'm gonna have you come up. And
- 7:11Speaker 2: I need another fork though, Can somebody want to get
- 7:14Speaker 2: another fork? I might give a Dylan, because I've kept
- 7:16Speaker 2: my fork only on specific pieces of me.
- 7:20Speaker 1: One on the left, my left.
- 7:22Speaker 2: You're right, well, the forks under the piece that I've
- 7:25Speaker 2: been eating from. You don't need to worry that much, Dylan.
- 7:26Speaker 2: I'm okay, baby, I got a newborn. I gotta stay
- 7:32Speaker 2: pretty healthy.
- 7:35Speaker 6: Man.
- 7:35Speaker 1: I'm surprised.
- 7:37Speaker 2: I'm shocked.
- 7:38Speaker 1: So close.
- 7:38Speaker 2: I'm shocked.
- 7:39Speaker 4: I thought i'd come in and you'd be like, oh,
- 7:41Speaker 4: this one's for sure the best.
- 7:44Speaker 2: So I always checked that.
- 7:45Speaker 7: Listen to something else I know Eddie's involved, but who's
- 7:47Speaker 7: who's going up against?
- 7:49Speaker 2: Okay, all right, but you don't know who's this who's Yeah? Yeah,
- 7:51Speaker 2: good luck Kevin, And right, we're gonna bring in a
- 7:54Speaker 2: couple other forks.
- 7:56Speaker 1: Thank you. I'll give you my hands too.
- 7:59Speaker 2: You could primal, all right, good deal, it is amazing.
- 8:05Speaker 2: Do you have any paper towels or something, because he's
- 8:07Speaker 2: gonna have to grab a sheet. No paper tels here,
- 8:11Speaker 2: that's all right, get a coke out there, Kevin keeps
- 8:17Speaker 2: running back and for it, you're gonna need a couple
- 8:19Speaker 2: of beers. Dylan is walking all right, Dylan, Uh, this
- 8:25Speaker 2: is number one. This is number two. So if you
- 8:27Speaker 2: want to grab when he comes back with the paper towel,
- 8:29Speaker 2: you can land on the paper towel.
- 8:30Speaker 1: Yeah, oh I have another plate.
- 8:32Speaker 2: Oh yeah, you're done. A plan even better. Scooby can
- 8:38Speaker 2: come on in. Then here's Scooba.
- 8:39Speaker 1: I'll give you a play right.
- 8:40Speaker 2: Number one, So just grab a whole piece, just remember
- 8:43Speaker 2: which ones which Scooba is entering the studio, and then
- 8:45Speaker 2: grab a piece over here. The only piece I've eaten
- 8:47Speaker 2: off of is this one. Boom yeah left, good.
- 8:53Speaker 1: No, it's not free. You so scuba.
- 8:58Speaker 2: Boys, you guys, I did yourself.
- 9:00Speaker 4: I'm the tension is high. I'm so worried now.
- 9:04Speaker 2: Uh plate right there, goddy, So you don't want to
- 9:07Speaker 2: grab that one? About it? So grab that piece and
- 9:09Speaker 2: that's that's piece number one. You have four?
- 9:12Speaker 1: Ken you a little worried, and then they should.
- 9:15Speaker 2: Have brought you. There's forks over there. Oh yeah, that's
- 9:17Speaker 2: number two. So the blacker edges too, and then yeah,
- 9:22Speaker 2: so you guys will have a couple of a couple
- 9:24Speaker 2: of byes of each and scuba straight with the hands.
- 9:29Speaker 1: I love it, isn't it.
- 9:30Speaker 2: Let me know what do you think?
- 9:33Speaker 6: Oh?
- 9:33Speaker 2: Wow? Oh we got to know?
- 9:35Speaker 3: Wowing for number two already?
- 9:37Speaker 4: You want to go back to your That's what I'm saying.
- 9:41Speaker 2: Which one did you have?
- 9:43Speaker 1: Had? Number one first? That's pretty good.
- 9:45Speaker 2: I don't even remember which one is.
- 9:47Speaker 1: That's pretty good.
- 9:47Speaker 2: And you remember, right, that's all that mattered.
- 9:50Speaker 1: No idea anymore.
- 9:52Speaker 7: That solid so far I've had that first one, that's
- 9:54Speaker 7: number one, number one. Yeah, that was hella good, right.
- 9:57Speaker 1: So good. It was so good.
- 9:58Speaker 2: A lot of good fat in there too.
- 10:00Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 10:00Speaker 2: I'm worried about the second one.
- 10:01Speaker 7: It looks like it may be too smoked or maybe
- 10:03Speaker 7: like too crispy for my liking.
- 10:05Speaker 2: Well, you're just looking at it.
- 10:07Speaker 1: I taste it. Yeah, I guess I was giving my
- 10:08Speaker 1: initial thought by looking at him.
- 10:10Speaker 2: Yeah, we didnt asked about initial thoughts your mouth.
- 10:17Speaker 7: The cooking shows they talk about how it looks in
- 10:19Speaker 7: the platehouse presented like.
- 10:20Speaker 1: A cooking show. That's interesting.
- 10:28Speaker 2: The second one was like, butter yeah, okay, so don't
- 10:31Speaker 2: don't make any ants, don't don't say anything yet, okay,
- 10:38Speaker 2: jumping down, Brandon, would you mind giving them each a
- 10:42Speaker 2: one of those yellow post its they can write down
- 10:44Speaker 2: number one, number two on it. Mm hmm, right, answer down. Wow.
- 10:50Speaker 1: I did not expect for it to be like this.
- 10:54Speaker 1: I didn't either.
- 10:55Speaker 4: It's it's like Tom Brady's showing up the Super Bowl
- 10:57Speaker 4: being like I got this, and then they're down by
- 10:59Speaker 4: like touchdown.
- 11:00Speaker 2: Nick Bole shows up like he's so good.
- 11:02Speaker 1: Yeah, what's happening right now, Kevin?
- 11:04Speaker 3: But it's the old it's the the young buck coming.
- 11:07Speaker 5: In, dude, Drake, make the MOOKI yeah yeah, second year,
- 11:10Speaker 5: second smoke right, may lost them.
- 11:12Speaker 1: This is your second smoke ever ever?
- 11:14Speaker 2: Wow? A brisket? Well yeah, yeah, but did he take
- 11:17Speaker 2: any of the eddies.
- 11:19Speaker 1: I didn't tell him anything. No, man, we haven't really
- 11:21Speaker 1: even talked now.
- 11:22Speaker 2: We haven't been friends for about a week.
- 11:23Speaker 1: We walked by each other and just been like, you're
- 11:25Speaker 1: not my friend this week. Man.
- 11:28Speaker 2: The problem is like one of them actually looks more
- 11:31Speaker 2: appealing to me, and if it's a tie, I end
- 11:33Speaker 2: up having a fall to that. Did they write their
- 11:36Speaker 2: ches down? But you don't let them see it. Don't
- 11:38Speaker 2: let them seeybody see.
- 11:39Speaker 4: And Scooba, you're saying that's what they do. In the
- 11:40Speaker 4: cooking shows, they talk about the plate presentation. How it
- 11:43Speaker 4: looks there's no present.
- 11:47Speaker 1: Plastic four, it looks like Buddy's point, how how it
- 11:50Speaker 1: looks as the meme?
- 11:52Speaker 2: Okay, and I genuinely don't know which one of you cooked.
- 11:54Speaker 2: Which do you want me to bring you?
- 11:58Speaker 7: The man, I wrote down a number and I I
- 12:04Speaker 7: don't know if I want to switch it back.
- 12:05Speaker 2: You've already written down your number.
- 12:08Speaker 1: That was pretty So it's that close.
- 12:11Speaker 3: Yeah, Patriots got blue out and blown out in Super Bowl.
- 12:15Speaker 1: It was a little bit like too salty, but I
- 12:16Speaker 1: don't mind it.
- 12:17Speaker 5: This is like the Cowboys, you know, expect a lot
- 12:20Speaker 5: and then they just disappointed.
- 12:21Speaker 2: Can I get a sheet place I don't want to
- 12:23Speaker 2: see there before I write my answer down.
- 12:26Speaker 1: That was a pretty straightforward for me. It was yeah, okay,
- 12:30Speaker 1: all right, I mean I thought it was pretty. That
- 12:34Speaker 1: makes me feel a little better.
- 12:36Speaker 2: Yeah, So okay, okay, So oh man, do you know
- 12:44Speaker 2: I'm looking at those two there too. This is why
- 12:46Speaker 2: somebody picked number one, somebody picked number two, including yours.
- 12:53Speaker 2: Mine's written already written down here below. Hay Dylan, which
- 12:56Speaker 2: one did you pick? I picked number one because the
- 13:00Speaker 2: flavors better.
- 13:02Speaker 1: But I wish I could take the consistency and the
- 13:06Speaker 1: texture and the feel of number two and put it
- 13:08Speaker 1: with the taste of number one. Yeah, and hybrid. But
- 13:11Speaker 1: you know, overall I'm something on eating. Yeah, I'm gonna
- 13:13Speaker 1: go taste. So I went number one.
- 13:15Speaker 2: Okay, in Scuba, you picked number two. I did.
- 13:17Speaker 7: Yes, it looked like a traditional brisket and had the
- 13:20Speaker 7: texture of it and taste because one was really good,
- 13:23Speaker 7: but I think afterwards that the aftertaste was a little
- 13:25Speaker 7: bit too salty, almost like old people food. Oh wow,
- 13:30Speaker 7: you eat old people at the old people like Piccadilly.
- 13:34Speaker 2: Okay, So before I reveal my answer, because I already
- 13:36Speaker 2: have written down. I cannot change it. I would like
- 13:38Speaker 2: to know whose was number one?
- 13:41Speaker 1: Can I look at them? I'll tell you what it is.
- 13:43Speaker 2: One, Well, that was It's always been the same. I
- 13:45Speaker 2: don't know, but I can tell you what's number one
- 13:47Speaker 2: and number two? Okay, So number one was more straightforward,
- 13:51Speaker 2: the edges weren't blackened. Number two was more blackened around
- 13:56Speaker 2: the edges. That's mine for sure, blacking around the edges, Brandon.
- 13:59Speaker 2: Number one one is Kevin and number two is Eddie.
- 14:03Speaker 1: I have my answer.
- 14:09Speaker 2: I just want to set this up first because it's
- 14:12Speaker 2: I'm already down, so I cannot change I. Oh the mentalist.
- 14:15Speaker 2: I'm not riding it with my pinky behind the screen
- 14:16Speaker 2: or anything. It's already down. Here's all I want to say.
- 14:20Speaker 2: They're both excellent. Okay, So there's that.
- 14:28Speaker 1: This is crazy.
- 14:30Speaker 2: It could be one of the greatest upsets in cooking history. Relax,
- 14:35Speaker 2: I said it could be. If Kevin pulls this off,
- 14:38Speaker 2: it could be the greatest episode in cooking history. They
- 14:44Speaker 2: were both dynamic, so you both should be very proud.
- 14:47Speaker 2: Thank you.
- 14:48Speaker 1: What do he wants to hear that? Let's go.
- 14:52Speaker 2: The winner.
- 14:53Speaker 1: You want to take another bite.
- 14:56Speaker 2: I don't need to. I will because you w it's good.
- 15:01Speaker 2: I'd like to have a little sauce and maybe bring
- 15:03Speaker 2: a bet. I did tell my wife. I was like,
- 15:08Speaker 2: I gotta eat more vegetables. I just need a meat
- 15:10Speaker 2: at the house because here's the thing about me. I
- 15:12Speaker 2: love meat in my mouth. Wake up the morning, go
- 15:16Speaker 2: to bed. Can I meet my mouth? The winner of
- 15:20Speaker 2: the Meat my Mouth challenge is Eddie. How bad would
- 15:25Speaker 2: this be for you? If you lose?
- 15:26Speaker 1: I would leave? I'm leaving. I'm leaving. I'm going straight home.
- 15:29Speaker 2: Kevin, how bad? How cool? Would be?
- 15:30Speaker 1: Free?
- 15:31Speaker 2: If you want?
- 15:31Speaker 3: It would make my year? Like I will come off
- 15:33Speaker 3: the entire year.
- 15:34Speaker 5: I'm coming to every show and I'm changing my Instagram
- 15:37Speaker 5: handle from Kickoff Kevin to the Brisket Master.
- 15:41Speaker 1: Shut Up Company. He won.
- 15:48Speaker 2: That's Dylan is the food. The winner of the Meat
- 15:53Speaker 2: and my Mouth Challenge is.
- 15:56Speaker 1: Number too. Wow. So Kevin, it was awesome. Here's here's awesome.
- 16:18Speaker 2: You know what, I'll take it?
- 16:20Speaker 1: Who did one?
- 16:21Speaker 2: It's a very a Drake made performance. You're it's too
- 16:23Speaker 2: You shouldn't be here so so quick. I'm a little ahead. Yeah,
- 16:28Speaker 2: you shouldn't have got this close this early, but you
- 16:30Speaker 2: did a heck of a job.
- 16:31Speaker 1: Thank you. Guys.
- 16:32Speaker 2: How did you have any schedule getting here? Yeah? You
- 16:33Speaker 2: played nobody.
- 16:38Speaker 3: Who's in front of me?
- 16:39Speaker 2: That's right, that's but I had one person. I think.
- 16:43Speaker 2: I'm glad Scuba and Dylan were here because it was
- 16:45Speaker 2: that close, solid right, Dylan.
- 16:47Speaker 1: Solid, both fantastic. Okay, who did Dylan pick? I picked
- 16:51Speaker 1: one picked me.
- 16:53Speaker 2: Dylan just went up in my book, Scuba and.
- 16:55Speaker 1: Then Scooba you went to went to Yeah, because one
- 16:57Speaker 1: was a little too salty.
- 16:59Speaker 2: I thought they both were very flavorful. I both were great.
- 17:04Speaker 2: So when I used to have any critique, I think
- 17:05Speaker 2: they beat anybody else that we play this game with.
- 17:08Speaker 2: They're both that good. So this is basically Forrest Gump
- 17:11Speaker 2: at the what ninety two oscars up against John Travolta
- 17:17Speaker 2: and Pulp Fiction? Mike, Am I right about any of that? Right?
- 17:24Speaker 2: You're talking about both dynamic? Wow? Wow. That being said,
- 17:31Speaker 2: what separated it from me was number one Kevin's. It
- 17:36Speaker 2: was not tough, but it was a little tougher than Eddie's,
- 17:39Speaker 2: which I put Eddies in my mouth and it was
- 17:41Speaker 2: like the butter slightly melted in the microwave and you
- 17:43Speaker 2: put it in.
- 17:44Speaker 1: I'm talking about my brisket, guys.
- 17:45Speaker 2: Yeah, four, great job, guys. Eddie is the king.
- 17:53Speaker 1: And look you're eating some more of mine. Man, enjoy it.
- 17:55Speaker 1: And you want some chips and sausa too. I made
- 17:56Speaker 1: some homemade sausa. If you're interested about work, okay, I.
- 18:00Speaker 2: Might be honest, guys. If Eddie would have lost, I
- 18:04Speaker 2: was I was going to like follow you home.
- 18:06Speaker 4: I was about to tell Dylan, like, take over the
- 18:07Speaker 4: cameras I'm leaving right, God, that would have been the
- 18:10Speaker 4: biggest Yeah.
- 18:11Speaker 2: But the problem with that is Dylan might be better
- 18:14Speaker 2: than cameras.
- 18:17Speaker 1: He's younger. You want to do a camera on.
- 18:22Speaker 2: Next Monday camera? Oh my god.
- 18:26Speaker 3: Man, I was worried about that. Char I was like,
- 18:29Speaker 3: I didn't get that charge they were looking for.
- 18:30Speaker 4: Let me tell you, let me tell you. I was
- 18:31Speaker 4: a little stressed out because I did mine last night.
- 18:34Speaker 4: I did it yesterday all day yesterday. I put it
- 18:35Speaker 4: in at eleven am, thinking it's gonna be a ten
- 18:37Speaker 4: hour smoke. By about you know, eight or so, it'll
- 18:41Speaker 4: be ready to go.
- 18:42Speaker 1: Guys.
- 18:42Speaker 4: At eight it was not even halfway done, and so
- 18:45Speaker 4: mine was not ready till last night at one.
- 18:48Speaker 2: In the morning.
- 18:48Speaker 4: Really, I had to set alarm every thirty minutes and
- 18:51Speaker 4: be like, go check it. So the fact that I
- 18:54Speaker 4: had to wait that long, I was worried is going
- 18:56Speaker 4: to be completely dry.
- 18:57Speaker 1: But it wasn't. Came out great.
- 18:58Speaker 2: Are there any sponsors you want to think or? Uh?
- 19:01Speaker 1: No me. I watched a bus Bobby pay.
- 19:04Speaker 5: I will say I got the brisket for seventy two dollars.
- 19:07Speaker 5: You gave me seventy five.
- 19:07Speaker 2: It was perfect.
- 19:08Speaker 1: Yeah, man, good job. It was enough to feed the
- 19:13Speaker 1: family for a while.
- 19:14Speaker 3: Yeah, I'm taking some home. I got the whole thing here,
- 19:15Speaker 3: but I'm gonna take it home.
- 19:16Speaker 2: That's the first bite out of the brain. Yeah, so
- 19:19Speaker 2: you have enough to feed your family. So I fet
- 19:20Speaker 2: your family is multiple ways this week?
- 19:22Speaker 1: Yes, great? Wow in then you paid.
- 19:25Speaker 2: In the end, I am the winner.
- 19:27Speaker 3: I am the That was fun, though it was stressful.
- 19:30Speaker 1: It was so stressful.
- 19:31Speaker 2: Yeah. I was stressing yesterday prepping Saturday. I went to
- 19:33Speaker 2: the bathroom and I don't know who's who's but I
- 19:35Speaker 2: see Eddie like fighting in that igloo thing too up
- 19:37Speaker 2: the stairs.
- 19:38Speaker 1: He's like onwenty five minutes, He's like Walls.
- 19:41Speaker 2: I was.
- 19:41Speaker 4: I was worrying Kevin because I told him that I
- 19:43Speaker 4: got they're bringing the smoker in like thirty minutes.
- 19:45Speaker 1: He thought they're gonna roll the real smoker out.
- 19:50Speaker 3: I know your family, like your boys are going to
- 19:51Speaker 3: be in on it.
- 19:52Speaker 2: Fresh shop the smoker. Okay, so we'll move away from that.
- 19:56Speaker 2: Great job.
- 19:56Speaker 1: Thank you.
- 19:57Speaker 2: Good for me, worth one hundred fifty bucks for sure,
- 19:59Speaker 2: just to see both of you guys stressed. Yeah, all right,
- 20:03Speaker 2: that was fun. Good job, Kevin, thanks to you too.
- 20:05Speaker 2: Let's go and we will. We will talk some NFL
- 20:07Speaker 2: draft coming up. We do have some sports to do.
- 20:11Speaker 2: We will talk the Masters for a second, because Dylan
- 20:14Speaker 2: went to the freaking Masters, so we've not talked. So
- 20:17Speaker 2: Eddie sent me this note too. He's like, did you
- 20:18Speaker 2: know Dylan went to the Masters? Did we not talk
- 20:20Speaker 2: about this?
- 20:21Speaker 1: We did not.
- 20:21Speaker 3: I didn't know.
- 20:22Speaker 2: No, No, no, we did. No.
- 20:24Speaker 1: When I was leaving, he's like, going to the Masters Sunday,
- 20:27Speaker 1: where did.
- 20:28Speaker 2: We talk about this? Then we talked about it on something?
- 20:30Speaker 2: Oh I talked to you.
- 20:32Speaker 1: Was it Friday? You were there?
- 20:34Speaker 2: Right?
- 20:34Speaker 1: Yeah? Yeah, yeah, yah.
- 20:35Speaker 2: I think it was like the Wizard and you were
- 20:36Speaker 2: there and you were there and you were the scarecrow.
- 20:41Speaker 1: But we talked about it on this show, did we not?
- 20:44Speaker 1: We didn't. I guess we didn't talk about it to.
- 20:46Speaker 2: Say Dylan was going to go and I was, and
- 20:48Speaker 2: we talked about my trip there.
- 20:50Speaker 1: We talked about you being there.
- 20:52Speaker 2: You guys just don't listen. I'm almost positive we talked
- 20:54Speaker 2: about it. I think it was all fair because I
- 20:56Speaker 2: was like, Dylan, if you grab a seat, you probably
- 20:57Speaker 2: won't grab your seat and run to that spot. And
- 20:59Speaker 2: this never Yeah, I don't think that was recorded. Yeah,
- 21:03Speaker 2: but you were there dealing with the masters. That's awesome.
- 21:09Speaker 1: Sunday.
- 21:11Speaker 2: The reason is his wife works for corporate.
- 21:15Speaker 1: Yeah, we'll say corporate, Okay, we'll go with that.
- 21:18Speaker 2: And so he went down and he got tickets to go.
- 21:21Speaker 2: And what did you did you get there? I'm burping
- 21:23Speaker 2: up excell on basket by way, that's good to smoke flavored?
- 21:25Speaker 2: But did you get there right when it was the
- 21:28Speaker 2: gates open?
- 21:28Speaker 1: Oh? Yeah?
- 21:29Speaker 2: And what did you do?
- 21:30Speaker 1: What was your move? We went to Amen Corner. We
- 21:32Speaker 1: had two chairs. We got first road, Amen Corner, so.
- 21:35Speaker 2: You ran and set them down, and that col didn't
- 21:37Speaker 2: want you set them down nobody can move them.
- 21:38Speaker 1: It's fantastic guy to kick three people out like three times,
- 21:41Speaker 1: but it was always a pleasant Where were they they're
- 21:43Speaker 1: trying to sit in your chair? Yeah, so it's like
- 21:45Speaker 1: people can sit in your chair, and it's like just
- 21:47Speaker 1: an understood thing. If you come up behind and be like, hey,
- 21:49Speaker 1: you know, thanks for keeping it warm or whatever. It's
- 21:52Speaker 1: our seats. People get up and move. But if there's
- 21:54Speaker 1: a chair, you can sit in whatever you like.
- 21:55Speaker 2: So you guys didn't hear this, But what happens is
- 21:58Speaker 2: if you have a chair it's a Speci chair too, yeah,
- 22:01Speaker 2: green Master's chair. You as soon as that wherever you
- 22:03Speaker 2: put it, it lives there and it's yours for the
- 22:07Speaker 2: whole day. So you put it somewhere where you want
- 22:09Speaker 2: to sit. But while you're gone, other people can sit
- 22:12Speaker 2: in it if it's empty, But when you go back
- 22:13Speaker 2: to that chair, they got to get out. That's your seat.
- 22:15Speaker 2: It's your reserve seat for the whole day. So what
- 22:17Speaker 2: you do it's much like as a kid, if the
- 22:19Speaker 2: Texas Giant you want to go ride that, you know
- 22:21Speaker 2: there's along line right when the gate o. But you
- 22:23Speaker 2: run the Texas Giant. You run to a place that
- 22:25Speaker 2: you want to have your seat all day and you
- 22:27Speaker 2: ran right to am in corner.
- 22:28Speaker 1: Right, yep, that's cool.
- 22:29Speaker 2: Did you walk around there though?
- 22:31Speaker 1: I might? So where do you get the chair?
- 22:32Speaker 2: Like?
- 22:32Speaker 1: Do they give it to you? You have to buy it?
- 22:35Speaker 1: You can buy it. You can buy it in the shop.
- 22:38Speaker 1: It seemed like everyone that was there that early already
- 22:41Speaker 1: had chairs though we got ours via my wife's company,
- 22:44Speaker 1: so we already had them, which is great. But you
- 22:47Speaker 1: can buy them at the store before or during or whenever.
- 22:50Speaker 1: So some people that have been there all week, they'll go,
- 22:52Speaker 1: like one of the practice rounds, get it then.
- 22:54Speaker 2: And it has to be a master's chair. Yes, you
- 22:56Speaker 2: can't show up with a lawn chair.
- 22:57Speaker 1: That's what.
- 22:58Speaker 2: Okay, Yeah, so I'm assuming you also after you put
- 23:02Speaker 2: the chair down, went walking around?
- 23:04Speaker 1: Yeah we did. We went up to uh, went up
- 23:07Speaker 1: to the first tea box, saw the first three groups
- 23:10Speaker 1: tea off there, and then we went to founder circle,
- 23:12Speaker 1: got a picture, and we walked through the whole course.
- 23:16Speaker 2: We got a picture.
- 23:17Speaker 1: Yeah, they take a picture in front.
- 23:19Speaker 2: Of they take it up.
- 23:20Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 23:20Speaker 2: Yeah, God, so about to turn them in right, I
- 23:22Speaker 2: was about to get his tickets taken for next year.
- 23:25Speaker 2: G Yeah, so you got it picture taken, did you?
- 23:30Speaker 2: How did you feel about like trying to follow the
- 23:32Speaker 2: famous golfers.
- 23:34Speaker 1: So we didn't follow anyone because we knew it would
- 23:37Speaker 1: be tough, especially on Sunday, and the people like not
- 23:41Speaker 1: to knock anybody, but like you know, the good, really
- 23:43Speaker 1: good entertaining groups didn't kick tea off to like around one.
- 23:48Speaker 1: So we kind of just walked around until then, so
- 23:51Speaker 1: we got to catch different things. Like we saw Brooks
- 23:52Speaker 1: on a par three I think it was on six,
- 23:56Speaker 1: so we saw people that way. We didn't necessarily follow anybody,
- 23:59Speaker 1: but uh, it was crazy. I was telling Brandon this,
- 24:01Speaker 1: it's just hard to keep like you have no idea
- 24:03Speaker 1: what's going on. At any point in time. Ever, you'll
- 24:05Speaker 1: hear roars and you're just like, Okay, I still don't know.
- 24:08Speaker 1: I haven't watched a round back, so I have no
- 24:09Speaker 1: clue like nine percent of stuff happened yesterday.
- 24:11Speaker 2: Because unless you're unless you see the main scoreboard, you
- 24:14Speaker 2: see one of the little ones walking around, you don't
- 24:16Speaker 2: know what people's scores are either. Yep, if you're like
- 24:18Speaker 2: watching them hit in a fairway, you don't even see
- 24:20Speaker 2: the ball. Uh, no phones, so there's no way to
- 24:25Speaker 2: keep track. There's not like a little app they give
- 24:27Speaker 2: you to keep It's just you're just there talking to
- 24:30Speaker 2: people or having to walk to the middle to see
- 24:32Speaker 2: the scoreboard to see where it is.
- 24:33Speaker 1: That's crazy.
- 24:34Speaker 2: And then there are roars just randomly all around you,
- 24:36Speaker 2: and like, I wonder what happened? Yeah? What else was cool?
- 24:38Speaker 2: What was it? What was cool about it?
- 24:40Speaker 1: I met Daniel Jones? Oh you did? Yeah, he was
- 24:42Speaker 1: walking around and I think they gotta love that because
- 24:45Speaker 1: no phones is probably just people come up, Hey, you're great,
- 24:46Speaker 1: see you later. That's it. Yeah, no pictures, nothing to
- 24:48Speaker 1: say hi. No, oh, so didn't mean to he was
- 24:52Speaker 1: next to me. Yeah, chatted briefly. But why you talk
- 24:55Speaker 1: to him?
- 24:55Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 24:55Speaker 1: I wasn't like, hey, how's it goings on? Daniel Jones?
- 24:58Speaker 1: Well he would said something.
- 24:59Speaker 2: About Fallow Chattanooga, and then you're transferred up to the northeast.
- 25:05Speaker 1: You don't know me, come on, But no, I didn't
- 25:09Speaker 1: talk to him like that. I don't know. I'm weird
- 25:11Speaker 1: about stuff like that. I don't like to like bother
- 25:13Speaker 1: people ninety percent of the time.
- 25:14Speaker 2: So was he nice guy?
- 25:15Speaker 1: Yeah? Super nice?
- 25:16Speaker 2: Was larger Oh my god, was it larger? Yeah, they're
- 25:18Speaker 2: always been shacked. I was so shocked, Like he super
- 25:22Speaker 2: tall Achilles. You take a look to go down and
- 25:25Speaker 2: take a look like lifted up.
- 25:27Speaker 1: And I'm like, oh yeah, babies tight for sure?
- 25:29Speaker 2: Was he walking around like pretty good?
- 25:31Speaker 1: Yeah? He looked great. Look great calves were, calves were.
- 25:37Speaker 2: Strong, always in short he's in shorts, right, big.
- 25:39Speaker 1: Calves, great calves, like it's pretty An example, what did
- 25:43Speaker 1: you wear? Red? I wore khaki shorts, master's polar master's
- 25:47Speaker 1: hat perfect like he's playing golf.
- 25:48Speaker 2: Did you buy the stuff there?
- 25:50Speaker 1: No, this was from my wife, got it formed in
- 25:52Speaker 1: a few years ago.
- 25:53Speaker 2: And did you wear it prior to this? Ever?
- 25:57Speaker 1: Maybe once or twice? Now, now that's what I said.
- 26:01Speaker 1: We were walking out, I was like I could finally
- 26:02Speaker 1: say yeah, I've actually been.
- 26:04Speaker 2: So why were you when it ended? Were you still
- 26:06Speaker 2: on the grounds?
- 26:07Speaker 1: Yeah? So we so we were at eighteen, so we
- 26:10Speaker 1: thought it would be smart. So when Rory and cam
- 26:13Speaker 1: Young came through Amen Corner, we immediately packed up after
- 26:16Speaker 1: they finished and went to eighteen. Thought we were spry.
- 26:18Speaker 1: It was like an hour and a half before they
- 26:20Speaker 1: were going to get there. No, shot, no shot. So
- 26:22Speaker 1: we were like down behind a tree like trying to
- 26:25Speaker 1: see and we watched Scotty finish up on eighteen and
- 26:29Speaker 1: we're like, okay, justin Rose, you know, he's when innstriking.
- 26:33Speaker 1: He was at eleven undergoing in seventeen bogied seventeen where
- 26:36Speaker 1: he had three strokes. Were like, there's no point in stay,
- 26:38Speaker 1: and so we dipped out and it worked out. It
- 26:40Speaker 1: sent me like an hour worth of traffic. But yeah,
- 26:44Speaker 1: pretty cool, Yeah, pretty pretty awesome stuff.
- 26:46Speaker 2: What'd you think of the grounds? Oh?
- 26:48Speaker 1: Unreal?
- 26:49Speaker 2: So green, right, unreal.
- 26:51Speaker 1: And it's like the fairways and the greens and even
- 26:54Speaker 1: like just the walking, it's just like turf. It doesn't
- 26:58Speaker 1: look like real grass. Like I stopped when we were
- 27:00Speaker 1: going to put our chairs down. I was just like
- 27:01Speaker 1: rubbing the fairway. My wife's like like what are you doing?
- 27:04Speaker 1: And I'm like, this is incredible. I don't know how
- 27:06Speaker 1: you're not touching the grass right now? What about the food?
- 27:09Speaker 1: Ten out ten tried everything on the menu.
- 27:12Speaker 2: Everything.
- 27:13Speaker 1: Oh yeah, is it a big menu.
- 27:14Speaker 2: Or it's not a massive menu. I mean there's some stuff,
- 27:16Speaker 2: but it's not okay, it's not a cheesecake factory.
- 27:19Speaker 4: I've seen eggs salad, eggs salad sandwiches, right, that's the thing.
- 27:22Speaker 2: And the pimento mento. Yeah yeah that really I got
- 27:25Speaker 2: the hat the salad. I saw that.
- 27:28Speaker 4: Hey what about the birds? Are the birds as loud
- 27:30Speaker 4: as they are on TV? Because on TV the birds
- 27:32Speaker 4: are very deafening. They're so loud, like when we're sitting
- 27:35Speaker 4: aim in corner, that's all you hear. It's just the
- 27:38Speaker 4: birds like they're it's insane. You see them flying around.
- 27:40Speaker 4: They're flying around like crazy, but super loud. Yeah, just
- 27:43Speaker 4: as loud as on TV.
- 27:44Speaker 2: I'm not convincing. Not robot birds, right, British spies, I
- 27:47Speaker 2: am not spies. So give me your top three. May
- 27:52Speaker 2: have already said it, but I don't want to miss anything.
- 27:53Speaker 2: Top three things you come away with after going to
- 27:56Speaker 2: the Masters, all right? Number three I like it reverse order, Okay,
- 28:01Speaker 2: you got to build up here ahead. Number three is
- 28:05Speaker 2: like we said the grounds.
- 28:07Speaker 1: I mean, everyone always says how great it is, and
- 28:09Speaker 1: you're like, my expectations were high already, but it's tenfold,
- 28:13Speaker 1: like it was just absolutely incredible. Number two my favorite thing.
- 28:17Speaker 1: There's these guys. All the people don't know this. There's
- 28:19Speaker 1: guys that hide in the woods behind every green, in
- 28:22Speaker 1: every tea box. As soon as the golfers finish up
- 28:24Speaker 1: on the greens, they sprint out of the woods, maintain
- 28:27Speaker 1: the greens like they'll blow dry it. Or if there's
- 28:30Speaker 1: a bunker shot, they'll put the sand like make the
- 28:32Speaker 1: sand go away. Keep everything. Yeah, they like that dark.
- 28:41Speaker 2: Man.
- 28:42Speaker 1: That was the scary he saw camera guys come out.
- 28:46Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 28:46Speaker 1: Yeah, So that's number two. I thought that was funny.
- 28:48Speaker 1: And the number one is just like being so present
- 28:51Speaker 1: is it was incredible, Like I talked to so many
- 28:54Speaker 1: people that I'll never see again. But like if we
- 28:56Speaker 1: had phones, no shot I talk to these people.
- 28:58Speaker 2: Did you see any other celebrities?
- 28:59Speaker 1: No, I didn't, but a girl behind me saw Bradley
- 29:02Speaker 1: Cooper and then one of my wife's friends saw Peyton mating,
- 29:04Speaker 1: so I was a little upset. I miss Peyton maning.
- 29:06Speaker 2: That's cool.
- 29:06Speaker 1: Yep.
- 29:07Speaker 2: It's a fun experience ten out of ten, isn't it.
- 29:10Speaker 2: And you may have a different recollection than I did.
- 29:14Speaker 2: Driving up to it, it's just like a gated, weird
- 29:16Speaker 2: property until you get it, Like yeah, like the course
- 29:19Speaker 2: is on the right of the road, but you don't
- 29:21Speaker 2: even know it because it's like gate, it's like a
- 29:22Speaker 2: normal gate with like like a tarp over it type thing. Yeah,
- 29:26Speaker 2: then when you get to the front, you're like, oh,
- 29:28Speaker 2: did you have that experience at all? Yeah, it's really weird.
- 29:30Speaker 1: So it's off like a traditional southern main road in
- 29:34Speaker 1: the town, like you have just like all the fast food,
- 29:36Speaker 1: Like it just totally looks so normal. And then you
- 29:38Speaker 1: take a riot and you're just like at the course,
- 29:40Speaker 1: it's like what, it's like what And then you pull
- 29:41Speaker 1: in just to grab a lot, and then obviously everything's fence.
- 29:44Speaker 1: You can't see anything. You walk in, you're like, oh,
- 29:47Speaker 1: everything just changes like that when you walk in with
- 29:49Speaker 1: the grant, the greens, everything.
- 29:50Speaker 2: It reminds me a bit of for us in this room.
- 29:53Speaker 2: If you've come to Nashville, the Bluebird, meaning the Bluebird
- 29:56Speaker 2: is historic and you've seen the television of Nashville. There's
- 29:59Speaker 2: a documentary about it, all these songs, right Garth Brooks
- 30:01Speaker 2: found at the Bluebird's found at the Bluebird. When you
- 30:04Speaker 2: come to it, it's in a freaking strip mall, and
- 30:06Speaker 2: you're like, what the heck that's it? And you get
- 30:09Speaker 2: in and it's super tight and packed, but you're like, oh,
- 30:12Speaker 2: I feel it, like this is cool. But when you
- 30:16Speaker 2: get to it, you drive to it and you arrive,
- 30:18Speaker 2: you're like, what the heck is this?
- 30:20Speaker 3: Yeah, there's like an image in your head and it
- 30:21Speaker 3: just doesn't do it justice.
- 30:22Speaker 2: Until you get in. And then then when it starts,
- 30:25Speaker 2: you're like, oh, I get why this experience is that special,
- 30:27Speaker 2: Like you're in so tight that people are in around.
- 30:30Speaker 2: It's not this exactly the same, but that would be
- 30:31Speaker 2: the comparison here. Do you want to go back next year? Oh?
- 30:37Speaker 1: If I could go back every year for the rest
- 30:38Speaker 1: of my life, I would hunt.
- 30:40Speaker 3: Yeah, you go four days or just one and you're good.
- 30:42Speaker 1: I had no responsibilities. I'd go four days like, it's
- 30:45Speaker 1: just the most serene, awesome thing. Yeah, incredible.
- 30:49Speaker 2: You're two, you're young, you got you probably got to
- 30:50Speaker 2: Coachella too. No way, no way. I think it'd be
- 30:57Speaker 2: fun to go every few years. It just it's a
- 31:00Speaker 2: lot of traffic. Augusta. Been to august a bunch of times,
- 31:04Speaker 2: not for golf, but just for shows or station stuff.
- 31:07Speaker 2: And it's a small town. It's just traffics a beast. Yeah,
- 31:11Speaker 2: you gotta you gotta do what he did, but on purpose.
- 31:14Speaker 2: You gotta leave unless it's something really cool. At the end,
- 31:17Speaker 2: you're gonna wait for it, but then you're gonna be
- 31:18Speaker 2: a traffic for two hours. This is old man talking though.
- 31:20Speaker 2: Now it's like, I don't want to be in, but yeah,
- 31:22Speaker 2: it's super cool. I was thinking last night, I've been
- 31:25Speaker 2: very fortunate. No I haven't. I've worked hard, so screw that.
- 31:29Speaker 2: Not before now I haven't. I've worked super hard to
- 31:31Speaker 2: get this crap. I've been to the Masters. I've been
- 31:35Speaker 2: to the Super Bowl multiple but I just say super Bowl,
- 31:38Speaker 2: been to the World Series basketball football, I don't want
- 31:44Speaker 2: to the only one I don't. I've been to the
- 31:46Speaker 2: Stanley Cup finals. I just haven't been to the NBA finals.
- 31:51Speaker 2: You only one I haven't been to. That's crazy to
- 31:54Speaker 2: think of now, considering I never went to anything as
- 31:56Speaker 2: a kid, No games, it's a parents take me anywhere. Uh.
- 31:59Speaker 2: That's the one I got to check off, is go
- 32:01Speaker 2: to the to the NBA finals. And I've been to
- 32:03Speaker 2: all the pro things, and that's I was thinking about
- 32:05Speaker 2: it yesterday. I was like, I had been to Master
- 32:07Speaker 2: What other ones I've been to? Because I only went
- 32:08Speaker 2: to the World too. Because the Cubs run it super
- 32:11Speaker 2: Bowl for work a couple of times Masters because of friends.
- 32:15Speaker 2: Where'd you guys do? Where'd you stay? Anywhere?
- 32:16Speaker 1: Just drive down and drive back. One of her her
- 32:18Speaker 1: company had a few houses, so we said.
- 32:20Speaker 2: Awesome, man, if you have like a house in Augusta,
- 32:22Speaker 2: you're you know, like air me and b the f
- 32:23Speaker 2: out of that thing for a few days at that time.
- 32:25Speaker 2: That's cool.
- 32:26Speaker 1: It made some crazy.
- 32:27Speaker 2: Yeah, that's awesome man.
- 32:28Speaker 1: What's it You don't have an NBA team, do you?
- 32:30Speaker 2: So? Like my wife, well, I should have gone to
- 32:32Speaker 2: Thunder last year because my wife, my wife and a
- 32:34Speaker 2: family are massive Thunder fans, and I got invited to
- 32:36Speaker 2: go out. Wow, and they were like, hey, you should
- 32:38Speaker 2: come to one of the finals games.
- 32:42Speaker 1: You didn't realize that that's the one you've never been to.
- 32:44Speaker 2: I know traffic, I get it. I should go down
- 32:49Speaker 2: and check that and check the box. But that's super
- 32:51Speaker 2: cool a Dylan, Yeah, that's awesome, And.
- 32:52Speaker 4: Dude, you should go back and watch Sunday because Sunday
- 32:55Speaker 4: was crazy. Like at the Master is that fourth round?
- 32:58Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 32:58Speaker 3: There's so many leads were there?
- 33:00Speaker 2: Yeah, there was.
- 33:00Speaker 1: Tons, so many different leads.
- 33:02Speaker 2: I bet on Rory at the before it started, one
- 33:04Speaker 2: hundred bucks away. I went thirt tendred dollars.
- 33:06Speaker 1: It's pretty good. I mean consecutive wins. I mean he's
- 33:09Speaker 1: the fourth one of those I did.
- 33:10Speaker 2: The only other bet that I made was Shuffler to
- 33:12Speaker 2: be in the top five, and he did.
- 33:14Speaker 3: And I didn't think he was going to came on strong.
- 33:16Speaker 2: Yeah yeah, I got second. I think I bet two fifty.
- 33:18Speaker 2: I won like six twenty. It wasn't that that was
- 33:21Speaker 2: a massive pay, but it was.
- 33:25Speaker 4: Man, he wasn't doing that well no, you know, so
- 33:28Speaker 4: not till the not till Saturday's when he started climbing that.
- 33:31Speaker 1: I think he shot seven under on Saturday.
- 33:33Speaker 2: One other thing is that Kevin did not scam Cobra Golf.
- 33:38Speaker 1: Oh yeah he did.
- 33:39Speaker 2: Kevin did not scam Combe my gosh, he did.
- 33:42Speaker 1: Cobra Golf gave him golf clubs.
- 33:44Speaker 2: Why did this even come up? Uh?
- 33:46Speaker 1: Oh oh.
- 33:46Speaker 4: We were talking about playing golf and and I think
- 33:50Speaker 4: I talked about, like if I would have want to bet,
- 33:52Speaker 4: I'm going to buy these new Titleist irons, and Kevin's like,
- 33:56Speaker 4: oh yeah, I got I got new irons, like brand
- 33:58Speaker 4: new irons. I'm like you bought irons, Like I didn't
- 34:00Speaker 4: buy him. Cobra gave him to me, and I was like,
- 34:03Speaker 4: then he finally told me the story. I'm like, this
- 34:04Speaker 4: sounds familiar, scammer alert, as.
- 34:06Speaker 2: If he wasn't there for the whole thing.
- 34:09Speaker 4: Yeah, guys, I'm forgetting everything. I think I'm getting Alzheimer's.
- 34:12Speaker 4: Let's you say it, right, yeah, man, forgetting everything.
- 34:17Speaker 2: So, yes, we were going to shoot a series. So
- 34:20Speaker 2: I had to deal with Cobra for year and a
- 34:21Speaker 2: half I guess maybe two years, and so clubs. I
- 34:25Speaker 2: did social media stuff for them, and I was like, hey,
- 34:27Speaker 2: we'll do a series with Kevin. Try to break two
- 34:31Speaker 2: hundred or soth. I don't know.
- 34:31Speaker 1: It was something realistic.
- 34:37Speaker 2: And my guy that I did the deal with left
- 34:41Speaker 2: Cobra and he was like, hey, I'm I'm leaving. I'm
- 34:42Speaker 2: going to different company. And so when he left, our
- 34:46Speaker 2: debts were paid. They never have me back again. And
- 34:50Speaker 2: I also my deal did I wasn't playing anymore golf though,
- 34:52Speaker 2: and my deal didn't renew itself.
- 34:54Speaker 1: But but Kevin did get irons from him, right, I.
- 34:57Speaker 2: Got irons and we gave him to Kevin. We're be
- 35:00Speaker 2: but yes, they were forre Kevin. He got him fitted.
- 35:01Speaker 2: We went and did the whole thing, but it was
- 35:03Speaker 2: mostly through my deal.
- 35:04Speaker 1: Okay, that makes sense.
- 35:05Speaker 2: No, you're being a hater.
- 35:06Speaker 1: No I thought. I thought Cobra was like, hey, guys,
- 35:07Speaker 1: did we ever see anything from that Kevin?
- 35:14Speaker 2: No, but he got those clubs were under that series
- 35:16Speaker 2: of hit one in the fairway if I remember that.
- 35:20Speaker 2: All right, let's take a break. All right, let us
- 35:25Speaker 2: welcome Nick Bombgartner with us, who is a senior writer
- 35:28Speaker 2: at the Athletic, one of the best in the business
- 35:29Speaker 2: when it comes to analyzing the NFL draft. Michigan native
- 35:32Speaker 2: who covered the Wolverine's program for a bunch of years,
- 35:35Speaker 2: has alliance podcast called Welcome to Detroit. But when it
- 35:38Speaker 2: comes to draft evaluation for the Athletic, I'm a big
- 35:41Speaker 2: Nick Bombgardner guy. So thanks to Nick for coming on. Nick,
- 35:44Speaker 2: thanks for talking with this man. Absolutely, I'm doing pretty good. Yeah,
- 35:49Speaker 2: I just some questions I was thinking before you came on.
- 35:51Speaker 2: Number one, I did see and something that you had
- 35:55Speaker 2: mentioned was Diego Pavia, Like, what's gonna happen with Diego Pavia?
- 35:59Speaker 6: I don't know, you know, at best, at best, he's
- 36:03Speaker 6: going to be a backup of some of some sort
- 36:05Speaker 6: in the NFL. But I'm not sure if that's you know,
- 36:08Speaker 6: where that's going to go. I mean, he's very small. Uh,
- 36:11Speaker 6: he's an outlier in so many ways with the size
- 36:14Speaker 6: and everything else. But also, like I am curious how
- 36:17Speaker 6: many teams we saw this last year with Shador Sanders.
- 36:20Speaker 6: I'm curious how many teams are wanting to invest in
- 36:23Speaker 6: a quarterback who's going to come with baggage, who's going
- 36:26Speaker 6: to be like, I.
- 36:26Speaker 2: Want to have this media career.
- 36:27Speaker 6: I want to be like a budding you know this
- 36:29Speaker 6: that the other. So I don't know if it'll be
- 36:32Speaker 6: more than just let a flash.
- 36:33Speaker 2: Maybe he gets a.
- 36:33Speaker 6: Try out in camp and that's all we see. He
- 36:35Speaker 6: bounces around for a minute and then he's maybe off
- 36:37Speaker 6: to some minor league situation. I'm not sure, but I
- 36:40Speaker 6: just don't think he has the size or sort of
- 36:42Speaker 6: the requisite arm talent to do it in the NFL.
- 36:45Speaker 2: The NFL don't they don't really want backups who want
- 36:48Speaker 2: reporters at their locker, right right. That's kind of the thing.
- 36:51Speaker 6: I mean, that was the thing with shad Or that
- 36:53Speaker 6: I think people, you know, they got a lot of
- 36:55Speaker 6: people got their feelings for a lot of different reasons.
- 36:58Speaker 2: Some of it was foul and some of it wasn't.
- 36:59Speaker 6: But the reason why he fell as far as he did,
- 37:02Speaker 6: which it was a fall obviously, was a multiple round deal.
- 37:05Speaker 6: It was because, you know, we don't want the backup quarterback,
- 37:08Speaker 6: because that's what he's coming in here to do at best,
- 37:11Speaker 6: to distract from every other thing that we're doing, including
- 37:13Speaker 6: our starter, our offense or offensive coordinator, whatever else it is.
- 37:16Speaker 6: We'll put up with that if it's a you know,
- 37:19Speaker 6: generational starter, maybe, but we're not going to do it
- 37:22Speaker 6: with a backup. And I think that that's sort of
- 37:24Speaker 6: the end of the end of the day thing with
- 37:25Speaker 6: quarterbacks right now.
- 37:27Speaker 2: Pretty much Settle Mendoz is going to go to the
- 37:29Speaker 2: Raiders at one. But where does Mendoza fall into like
- 37:32Speaker 2: the last few years of quarterbacks. Yeah, it's a great question.
- 37:37Speaker 6: I think, Like, I think he's probably somewhere a little
- 37:41Speaker 6: bit lower than maybe cam Ward, maybe right around the
- 37:43Speaker 6: same area as cam Ward. I think he's a quality
- 37:46Speaker 6: future starter, you know, maybe mid levels. You know that
- 37:50Speaker 6: sometimes that scares people, but I think that that's fine. Like,
- 37:52Speaker 6: I think he's My comp for him is a more
- 37:54Speaker 6: athletic Jared Golf Like. I think if you protect him
- 37:57Speaker 6: and you put you know, a good offensive line in
- 37:59Speaker 6: front of him, a good run game, you know, a
- 38:01Speaker 6: capable defense, he's going to be okay, Like, he's going
- 38:04Speaker 6: to be able to win games, get a team to
- 38:06Speaker 6: a super Bowl, do all the things that you know
- 38:08Speaker 6: we expect from a from a starter who's capable, who's
- 38:11Speaker 6: going to be an extension guy and make a lot
- 38:12Speaker 6: of money. Kirk Cousins is another great comp for him.
- 38:16Speaker 6: Maybe not a guy that like lights anybody up every
- 38:18Speaker 6: you know, for the rest of his career, but a
- 38:20Speaker 6: guy that's hard to ignore, who's very consistent. Just probably
- 38:24Speaker 6: not generational, you know, I guess if that makes any sense,
- 38:26Speaker 6: but just a solid player who I don't think is
- 38:28Speaker 6: going to be a bad NFL quarterback.
- 38:31Speaker 2: Which also makes sense as to why they would get
- 38:32Speaker 2: Kirk Cousins to come to the Raiders before they draft Mendoza. Right, Yeah,
- 38:37Speaker 2: it's a perfect I thought that was a perfect addition.
- 38:40Speaker 6: I'm a big fan of you bring a rookie in,
- 38:42Speaker 6: I want that rookie to be able to at least
- 38:44Speaker 6: compete with and beat out a veteran A capable of
- 38:46Speaker 6: a veteran. Let's see if he can what he's got
- 38:49Speaker 6: in camp number one and then number two. You know,
- 38:51Speaker 6: when that happens, or if it happens, whatever it is.
- 38:54Speaker 6: Either way, Mendoz is going to be able to work
- 38:57Speaker 6: with Kirk Cousins all year, and Kirk Cousins is, you know,
- 39:00Speaker 6: pretty selfless guy. He's going to be there for it
- 39:01Speaker 6: no matter what. If he doesn't win the job, he'll
- 39:04Speaker 6: be Mendoza's biggest fan, and even for a year if
- 39:06Speaker 6: it's no more than that, whatever it is, you know
- 39:08Speaker 6: that's going to be invaluable. You know, knowledge that he's
- 39:12Speaker 6: going to be able to get from a guy who's
- 39:13Speaker 6: been around for a long time. So I thought it
- 39:14Speaker 6: was great.
- 39:15Speaker 2: I was looking at your latest monk, only one quarterback
- 39:18Speaker 2: going to the first round for you, and these other
- 39:19Speaker 2: guys have a chance to move up.
- 39:21Speaker 6: So I think ty Simpson for me, is sort of
- 39:22Speaker 6: in that a little bit lower than the Jackson Dart
- 39:25Speaker 6: thing maybe last year that that range, but probably right
- 39:27Speaker 6: in that same area. Like it wouldn't shock me if
- 39:31Speaker 6: somebody really likes Ty Simpson or a couple of teams
- 39:33Speaker 6: really like Ty Simpson and somebody at the bottom of
- 39:35Speaker 6: the first maybe makes them move up. Maybe you know,
- 39:37Speaker 6: Houston trades out or somebody like this, at like twenty five,
- 39:41Speaker 6: twenty six. Somewhere in there, somebody comes up, gets their quarterback,
- 39:44Speaker 6: you know, low risk, whatever it is, they want to
- 39:46Speaker 6: get him on the extra year at the end of
- 39:48Speaker 6: the first round. That's about the only thing I could see. Otherwise,
- 39:51Speaker 6: I think you could probably just sit and wait, you know,
- 39:52Speaker 6: because I think he's I don't think he's a first round,
- 39:55Speaker 6: first round quarterback. I think that this this class in
- 39:58Speaker 6: general's probably a little bit like last year, maybe a
- 40:00Speaker 6: little bit weaker, but probably pretty close to what last
- 40:03Speaker 6: year's was.
- 40:04Speaker 2: So I think Dart was right in that same range.
- 40:06Speaker 2: Simpson could be good. We just don't know. And I
- 40:08Speaker 2: think that that's the big mystery right now.
- 40:09Speaker 6: And you know, beyond that, it becomes Garrett Nusmeyer, who
- 40:12Speaker 6: I think is to solid backup candidate Carson Beck and
- 40:14Speaker 6: et cetera.
- 40:15Speaker 2: Now, s Meyer's interesting because if you had asked before
- 40:18Speaker 2: the season, you're like, nu's Meyer for sure is gonna
- 40:19Speaker 2: be a first round pick, at least according to the census. However,
- 40:23Speaker 2: he didn't have a great year, but also he was hurt,
- 40:26Speaker 2: at least supposedly he was hurt through most of the year.
- 40:29Speaker 2: Is there a chance that if a guy was hurt
- 40:31Speaker 2: that he actually can move up a bunch though, if
- 40:33Speaker 2: that was the factor that made him not perform his
- 40:35Speaker 2: last year.
- 40:36Speaker 6: I think I don't want a bunch, but I think
- 40:38Speaker 6: innus Meyer's case, it'll be significant because I think when
- 40:41Speaker 6: teams saw him at the Senior Bowl and they saw
- 40:43Speaker 6: him fully healthy, it was a different deal.
- 40:45Speaker 1: You know.
- 40:46Speaker 6: It was like, WHOA, this is the guy that we
- 40:47Speaker 6: thought we were going to see in terms of arm talent,
- 40:49Speaker 6: in terms of mobility, in terms of consistent accuracy, all
- 40:53Speaker 6: those types of things from the pocket. So it was
- 40:54Speaker 6: like he was much healthier in January February, so you
- 40:58Speaker 6: could see it. And I don't think he talked about
- 40:59Speaker 6: it much during the season. Pretty tough guy. I think
- 41:03Speaker 6: that did help him quite a bit, that he was
- 41:04Speaker 6: healthier and he came out and showed up. Mark Burnowski's
- 41:06Speaker 6: another guy lower on the list obviously that was probably undraftable,
- 41:10Speaker 6: but went to the Shrine Bowl after playing an Iowa's
- 41:13Speaker 6: Bowl game, also a little bit healthier, but was in
- 41:15Speaker 6: no way healthy during the season. Was terrible in the
- 41:18Speaker 6: Bowl game, and the Shrine Bowl was really good, and
- 41:20Speaker 6: I think will probably be maybe a candidate for a
- 41:22Speaker 6: Day three pick. But in us Meyer's case, I don't
- 41:24Speaker 6: think the gap between Ty Simpson and Garrett Nusmeyer is
- 41:27Speaker 6: super wide. I think nus Meyer is a really quality
- 41:30Speaker 6: future backup who could steal a couple of starts for
- 41:32Speaker 6: you here and there, smart player, son up, a coach,
- 41:35Speaker 6: all that stuff. We I think it's going to be
- 41:36Speaker 6: an asset for somebody. I don't think he'll make it
- 41:38Speaker 6: to Day three. I think he might be gone by
- 41:39Speaker 6: the end of day two.
- 41:40Speaker 2: There is it a wild when you look at Reese
- 41:43Speaker 2: or Sunny Styles or Carnel Taate or Caleb Downs. But
- 41:48Speaker 2: Ohio State didn't win the freaking national championship considering the
- 41:50Speaker 2: talent they had on their team.
- 41:51Speaker 6: Well, I want it last year. I guess you give
- 41:53Speaker 6: him a little bit of a break. But the you
- 41:54Speaker 6: flip it on the other side and you're like, Jeremiah
- 41:56Speaker 6: Smith for next year is just like he's going to
- 41:58Speaker 6: be the number one pick.
- 42:00Speaker 2: Insane? Is it a really good quarterback? They get the
- 42:02Speaker 2: running back there that's really good. I don't know how
- 42:04Speaker 2: they didn't ball it off.
- 42:05Speaker 6: But yeah, defensively, this was as freaky as they're probably
- 42:09Speaker 6: ever going to have, I would imagine. I mean, you've
- 42:11Speaker 6: got guy like Sonny Styles, who we didn't even really
- 42:14Speaker 6: know what his position. I guess maybe technically will be
- 42:16Speaker 6: in the NFL. Could be like five things the guy
- 42:18Speaker 6: could end up playing. Downs is awesome, Reese is awesome.
- 42:22Speaker 6: So yeah, tough break for the Buck guys. But I mean,
- 42:24Speaker 6: we're not going to feel too bad for Ohio State
- 42:25Speaker 6: they went on. So I don't think anybody's frank.
- 42:28Speaker 2: There's a couple guys that are probably top talent wise,
- 42:33Speaker 2: but they don't play a position that would get them
- 42:34Speaker 2: drafted as high. And I'm curious both of those guys
- 42:37Speaker 2: want to be Jeremiah Love. A lot of people say
- 42:39Speaker 2: he could be one too best like players in the draft,
- 42:43Speaker 2: just his position as a running back. And the other one,
- 42:45Speaker 2: what you mentioned was Caleb Downs. Like those two guys,
- 42:48Speaker 2: do you believe they are elite? That's just our position
- 42:50Speaker 2: holding him back a little bit. Oh.
- 42:51Speaker 6: Absolutely, I think Love is my number one player in
- 42:53Speaker 6: the class. I think him for sure, he is, you know,
- 42:57Speaker 6: I think he's I certainly have him above Ashton gen
- 42:59Speaker 6: T last year. I think there's several teams in the
- 43:01Speaker 6: NFL that would agree. I think most of the NFL
- 43:03Speaker 6: probably would agree with that one. At this point, I
- 43:06Speaker 6: think I think Love is in the Bijon Robinson, Jamior
- 43:09Speaker 6: Gibbs tier right, those guys are about to set the
- 43:11Speaker 6: market here, I think in this coming offseason, and that's
- 43:14Speaker 6: really what you're looking for now in a modern NFL
- 43:16Speaker 6: running back. The McCaffrey thing kind of too, where it's like,
- 43:18Speaker 6: I don't ever have to take him off the field.
- 43:20Speaker 6: He'd be a great receiver when I need him to
- 43:21Speaker 6: be a great receiver. He can run inside, he can
- 43:23Speaker 6: run outside, you can do anything. We don't have to
- 43:25Speaker 6: be limited with what we call. He fits at any offense.
- 43:28Speaker 6: If we have to fire our coach next year, it
- 43:30Speaker 6: doesn't matter. He's still going to be the guy. So
- 43:32Speaker 6: I think love for sure, and you know, we'll see
- 43:35Speaker 6: where he goes. I could even see some teams maybe
- 43:37Speaker 6: wanting to move up to get him, because I mean,
- 43:39Speaker 6: if a contender maybe even or somebody a little bit
- 43:41Speaker 6: lower because he's so talented, Like Kansas City signed Walker
- 43:44Speaker 6: because I don't think they thought he was going to
- 43:46Speaker 6: make it that far. So I think that's number one there,
- 43:48Speaker 6: and then Downs is also in that boat. He's not
- 43:51Speaker 6: as like athletically like whoa as like a Kyle Hamilton
- 43:55Speaker 6: or an Emon Wari, which I think some people, you know,
- 43:58Speaker 6: they look at that and they say, okay, well out,
- 44:00Speaker 6: then you know, run everybody mentally and like as a
- 44:02Speaker 6: football player, he's the most disciplined and best tackler, smartest
- 44:07Speaker 6: defender I think probably in the class, and a guy
- 44:10Speaker 6: like again, there's just no way he's not going to
- 44:11Speaker 6: be a really good player for a long time.
- 44:12Speaker 2: In the NFL. The Jets are at two and sixteen.
- 44:15Speaker 2: The Jets are also terrible. What do they do? I
- 44:18Speaker 2: think they just go best player.
- 44:19Speaker 6: I think the reason why you trade all your guys
- 44:22Speaker 6: like they did last year to get all those assets.
- 44:24Speaker 6: And you remember now they have a bunch next year too,
- 44:27Speaker 6: So it's not They're one of the few teams I
- 44:28Speaker 6: would I would say, hey, you can be a little
- 44:30Speaker 6: bit patient with your quarterback. The rookie quarterback in this
- 44:33Speaker 6: class is not going to come in and save that mess,
- 44:35Speaker 6: So take the best player available at every single stop.
- 44:39Speaker 6: I don't care what the guy's playing. I don't care
- 44:40Speaker 6: what he does. I think, you know, for me, that's
- 44:42Speaker 6: Arville Reese at number two. Take him and then move on.
- 44:45Speaker 6: If it's Jordan Tyson or whoever that drops you at sixteen,
- 44:47Speaker 6: if it's Kenyon Sadik do that, I really don't care.
- 44:50Speaker 6: They need literally everything premium picks in the first three
- 44:54Speaker 6: rounds this year and next year. That's how you rebuild
- 44:57Speaker 6: yourself out. That's sort of what the Lions did when
- 44:59Speaker 6: Aaron Glenn was there. They traded Stafford, got a bunch
- 45:01Speaker 6: of picks and then really were bad. But like let
- 45:04Speaker 6: those rookie guys kind of develop together and then by
- 45:07Speaker 6: year three, away we go. I don't know if the
- 45:08Speaker 6: Jets will give him enough time, but like from a
- 45:11Speaker 6: franchise standpoint, that's what needs to happen.
- 45:13Speaker 2: Kind of a JV version of that's the Cowboys. They
- 45:15Speaker 2: have two picks in the first round two, twelve, and twenty, Like,
- 45:17Speaker 2: what are they going to do? Dallas is a really
- 45:19Speaker 2: good spot.
- 45:19Speaker 6: They've actually, you know, everybody kind of crashed on them
- 45:22Speaker 6: for that Mica Parsons trade and it was weird. I'm
- 45:24Speaker 6: not gonna lie that it wasn't weird, but they got
- 45:26Speaker 6: good return out of that. They've done a nice job,
- 45:29Speaker 6: you know, kind of rebuilding their defensive line. They drafted
- 45:31Speaker 6: well last year. Now they're in position, I think at
- 45:34Speaker 6: twelve and you know, they could either package up and
- 45:36Speaker 6: go get their favorite corner if it's Jermond McCoy, if
- 45:39Speaker 6: it's Ben seuber Delaine, one of the two.
- 45:41Speaker 2: You know, those are kind of big needs.
- 45:42Speaker 6: They could package up and go get their favorite safety
- 45:44Speaker 6: if they wanted to do that, or they could just
- 45:47Speaker 6: sit and pick. And I think that they're in a
- 45:48Speaker 6: good spot to just sit, get a really good corner
- 45:50Speaker 6: there at twelve, and then kind of do whatever they
- 45:52Speaker 6: want at twenty six, and Dallas suddenly should be a
- 45:55Speaker 6: team based on how they've drafted the last two years.
- 45:58Speaker 6: I think if they hit this right, should be a
- 45:59Speaker 6: team could contend for a playoff spot. Again, it wouldn't
- 46:01Speaker 6: surprise anybody and be right back kind of in the conversation.
- 46:04Speaker 2: Again, Nah, let's be honest, I ain't gonna happen, see that, right?
- 46:10Speaker 2: Good app Just well, a macro version of this draft,
- 46:14Speaker 2: like when you zoom out, Like to me, it's one
- 46:17Speaker 2: quarterback and a lot of really strong defensive players.
- 46:20Speaker 6: But what do you see Yeah, that's really what it is.
- 46:22Speaker 6: That this is a really good defensive class. And I
- 46:25Speaker 6: think really more than that, I would I would throw
- 46:26Speaker 6: the tight ends in there and say that you got
- 46:28Speaker 6: the tight ends, the linebackers, and the safeties. The NFL
- 46:32Speaker 6: is moving toward those positions are going to be a
- 46:35Speaker 6: big deal, right, your tight end. We saw that last
- 46:37Speaker 6: year with the Rams and some other teams putting the
- 46:39Speaker 6: three out there to change the math. Defensively, we saw
- 46:42Speaker 6: what Seattle did with Nicki Minuai moving him around.
- 46:44Speaker 2: He was a linebacker and a safety. He did everything.
- 46:47Speaker 6: You want hybrid guys that can move on defense, that
- 46:49Speaker 6: can cover those freaky tight ends. And then on the
- 46:51Speaker 6: other side, you want the freaky tight end that can
- 46:53Speaker 6: make the math a mess, uh defensively, So those there's
- 46:57Speaker 6: a bunch of them in this draft. And I think
- 46:59Speaker 6: for the first time in the long time in the
- 47:00Speaker 6: NFL's ready for him. First, for the first time ever,
- 47:02Speaker 6: the Isaiah Simmons, if everybody remembers him from like ten
- 47:04Speaker 6: years ago, would have loved to be in this draft
- 47:06Speaker 6: now because I think if he gets picked today, he'd
- 47:09Speaker 6: have been used properly tomorrow. So I think this is
- 47:12Speaker 6: a good draft for sort of hybrid specialists and creative teams.
- 47:15Speaker 6: I think if you've paid attention to Mike McDonald last year,
- 47:17Speaker 6: and most teams should have, there's quite a bit of
- 47:20Speaker 6: stuff to gather here in this draft.
- 47:22Speaker 2: The tit end for Morgan's a freak athlete, right, oh yeah.
- 47:26Speaker 6: Yeah, just a complete like four three nine forty. I
- 47:29Speaker 6: think he was over forty inches on the vertical Outstanding blocker,
- 47:34Speaker 6: outstanding blocking potential. I think he can get better. Outstanding
- 47:36Speaker 6: blocker in space, Legit receiver. I mean, you can play
- 47:40Speaker 6: the X, you can play Z, line up in the slot,
- 47:42Speaker 6: can be a fullback, h back, tight end, regular, whatever
- 47:45Speaker 6: it is. He can line up a pretty much every
- 47:46Speaker 6: skilled position of a quarterback and be an impact guy.
- 47:49Speaker 6: And I think that he is kind of your modern
- 47:51Speaker 6: prototype for what that X factor offensive weapon is going
- 47:55Speaker 6: to be going forward. Like when we compare tight ends
- 47:57Speaker 6: down the road, I think it's going to be Sadiq
- 47:59Speaker 6: and rock by Hour is the kid from That's what
- 48:01Speaker 6: the Raiders.
- 48:01Speaker 2: Right now, I'm gonna ask a final question, and there's
- 48:03Speaker 2: a reason I'm gonna ask this last because it's about
- 48:05Speaker 2: a guard and that's not a sexy question to ask,
- 48:07Speaker 2: but most of the time, you know, it's it's it's tackles,
- 48:10Speaker 2: it's the outside, it's protecting the quarterback. You know, to
- 48:12Speaker 2: see a guard in your top fifteen and most of
- 48:15Speaker 2: the top fifteens that the kid from Penn State. How
- 48:17Speaker 2: is a guard going so early? Man, Well, Venga, you
- 48:20Speaker 2: want to he is?
- 48:22Speaker 6: He is. Arguably you could make an argument that he's
- 48:25Speaker 6: up there with either Fanilla or Bindi Go in terms
- 48:27Speaker 6: of the best offensive lineman, best run blocker probably in
- 48:30Speaker 6: this draft. And I think that's what seals it. He
- 48:33Speaker 6: is easily the best interior linement number one in this class.
- 48:37Speaker 2: Number two.
- 48:38Speaker 6: I think he's the best pound for pound probably run
- 48:40Speaker 6: blocker in the class. I mean he moves people. You
- 48:42Speaker 6: notice him on film he's uprooting guys and getting him
- 48:45Speaker 6: out of the hole, you know, on duo call or
- 48:47Speaker 6: power whatever it is. And that anymore is pretty rare.
- 48:50Speaker 6: A lot of these college teams they like to play
- 48:52Speaker 6: the zone stuff. They like to spread teams out smaller guards.
- 48:55Speaker 6: A lot of the centers this year are small, but
- 48:57Speaker 6: not a lot of big gap centers. So this is
- 48:59Speaker 6: a guy Vang who's played some tackle before. Also, the
- 49:02Speaker 6: could play either guard spot, and I think come into
- 49:04Speaker 6: a team and immediately help re establish or change the
- 49:07Speaker 6: culture of their interior and really become, you know, help
- 49:10Speaker 6: change their run game, because I think that's what everybody's
- 49:12Speaker 6: kind of looking for right now in the NFL.
- 49:13Speaker 2: Self. Actually, what do you want the Lions to do?
- 49:16Speaker 2: Tackle would be great, but Vinga, we just talked about him.
- 49:19Speaker 6: I think if he could fall seventeen, if you wanted
- 49:22Speaker 6: to get there, I think you got Kate, you got
- 49:24Speaker 6: Mays that you just signed your moving potasal to left tackle.
- 49:27Speaker 6: Put you wan A there at left guard, and you've
- 49:29Speaker 6: got a pretty awesome left side of your line. Again,
- 49:31Speaker 6: not as good as if you would have had with
- 49:32Speaker 6: Frag now, but I mean maybe long term it would
- 49:34Speaker 6: have a little bounce out.
- 49:35Speaker 2: So that's what I want. You Guys can follow Nick
