- 0:07I'm Kelly Siegel, and this is Harder Than Life, a podcast about self-love, self-awareness, business, and health. We tell outrageous stories and boil everything down to simple, practical advice you can start using today. Let's get living. Welcome back to the Harder Than Life podcast. All you amazing people, I got a real treat. My brother from another mother, no real relation, but man, I was meant to meet him. And I've told you guys a million times that.
- 0:35Nothing happens by coincidence. And I met this gentleman by listening to John Gordon's podcast, and he's become a family member. So Craig Siegel, my dear friend, is a Wall Street Journal and USA Today bestselling author, global keynote speaker, elite coach, TEDx speaker, and host of the CLS Experience podcast. Endorsed by top thought leaders like Jim Quick and Ed Milet,
- 1:01Craig made the bold decision to walk away from a lucrative Wall Street career during the pandemic to build Cultivate Lasting Symphony, or CLS for short. A movement dedicated to helping people reinvent themselves and break free from limiting beliefs and
- 1:18As an eight-time marathoner, investor, and transformational leader, Craig is redefining success, energy, and mindset for the modern world. His mission? To inspire others to bet on themselves and take massive align action towards their true potential. Welcome, my brother, from another mother.
- 1:38My goodness. So that's what it feels like to be on the other end of those things. Ow. I mean, that's a lot of buildup right there, but I'm up for the challenge. I love you. The one thing I would say disagree with is that there's no relation between us. I respectfully disagree. I think you and I are connected very deeply, and I don't think this is the first time you and I have connected. Maybe just in this carnation, but we're definitely Saul brothers, specifically from previous lifetimes. I love you, buddy. I'm happy to be here. Let's go deep.
- 2:05So I'm going to start off with going on down that rabbit hole a little bit. You're going to hear some weird things. This is, Craig is my coach, my mentor, my brother. I bounce every idea off him. He was episode number one for Heart of Life podcast. Here we are, and this was not planned.
- 2:24We are, you will be episode 124 or 125. We're top 20. We're going to number one, but you were number one. And here we are almost two years later to the date. This was not the plan. Tell me it wasn't, that's not spiritual. This is divine.
- 2:39Go back and listen to episode one and come to now and watch the two of us have pushed each other, pulled each other. And many times Craig has kicked me to get better. What we talked about in that first episode was me finding my person, him finding his person. He is now married, beautiful family.
- 3:01Our podcast, Top 20, and a beautiful reciprocal relationship. So this stuff that we're doing works. Craig, now that I've got to know you, I have a question. I've met your beautiful father, your mother, your brother, now your bride, and I got to know you intimately.
- 3:17We are ending up in the same situation, same end result with winning and massive success. But our paths were not the same. Why do you believe that you went down a path of choosing someone who wasn't for you, making those decisions that weren't for your being? Having grown up in a beautiful family, because my story is documented. I grew up abused, neglected.
- 3:44And yet we found each other and are ending up in the same path. This is what the listeners want to know. It's how do people from different strokes, different folks end up in the same situation? And why specifically do?
- 3:57you choose that path of hardness and resilience? There's a couple of different reasons why we're here, why our souls are here. One of them is to identify our own specific, unique individual gifts that were given to us because I don't believe they're ours. I believe we're the managers of them. And it's on us to actualize them and find a way to channel and share those with the world and make some sort of impact and contribution. It doesn't matter if it's for one person or for a billion.
- 4:24The other reason as to why we're here, and this is more of a direct answer to your question, and that is to correct and transform our negative tendencies and to learn the lessons along the way. If we had all the answers right from Jump Street, then there would be no way to earn fulfillment because it would just be given to us. Similar to how when a lottery winner that didn't have the
- 4:54hits the jackpot, they win a couple billion, statistics will show they'll find a way to lose it, sabotage, turn to drugs, or be worse off before they even had it. Because they didn't earn it. In Kabbalah, we would call that bread of shame. Different conversation. But we have to earn the light. And so for me, just like anyone, we have to go through...
- 5:14our own journey and learn our lessons and find the things that our soul is here to correct and transform. And if we don't have the awareness, or I might say consciousness, to identify what they are, they will keep showing back up in our movie in different flavors. That's typically why you'll see somebody date the same type of person, but different, but same patterns until they finally break the pattern and realize that.
- 5:42that this is a lesson that they need to learn. And so just like anyone else, I am having a human experience, and I was at my race and my pace, and I'm still learning lessons and figuring out what need to correct and transform. But I don't have all the answers, and I certainly didn't 10 years ago. But one thing I could say with certainty is I'm much better now than I was 10 years ago. So first, I'm going to ask you to expand on that consciousness, because that's what the listeners stuck on.
- 6:12But I want to comment again. Go back and listen to episode number one. The only thing that hasn't changed with this guy is his amazingly beautiful looks and that tight hairpiece. So talk about that consciousness. Say more about the consciousness because there's so much talk about it. What do you mean, Craig? How do I get my consciousness to know that I'm making choices that are not serving me?
- 6:34I think a good place to start is what is consciousness? What does that even mean? That word is starting to get thrown around a little bit. So consciousness is like your awareness, right? It's the way in which you're available to receive information, downloads, or the world as it is. I think that when it comes to success, and it's interesting, I was having a conversation recently, it's cool to see that one's definition of fun or success evolves over the years.
- 7:02So for example, what I would consider to be fun on a Saturday night now looks nothing like I used to five or six years ago. Nobody can connect to that more so than you. Same thing with success. But there's two different consciousnesses. One is the soul and one is the ego. All of us came here to raise our consciousness.
- 7:26From the desire to receive for the self alone, which is a selfish manner, to the desire to share and impart on the world and influence and change lives. And so the whole point of this thing is to transform from being reactive and very ego-driven to proactive and to build our consciousness so we can begin to understand, for lack of better words, how to do things the correct way.
- 7:56And if you don't build your consciousness, you will become a slave to physical circumstances. I think what you just said in Kelly Siegel terms is if you do what you've always done, you're going to get what you've always got. And if you don't like what you got, let's change it. And that is where.
- 8:16The reinvention formula comes into play, which by the way, if you can't see, they're all right. I got a couple of reinvention formula, bestselling book. It's such a good and easy read. Craig also has these weekly calls that are amazing with some awesome individuals. He is constantly feeding into this universe, making it a better place. But your energy is amazing.
- 8:40Next level. Now, some of it might be your beautiful young age, but how are you cultivating this daily?
- 8:48daily disciplines, right? So in regards to what I do for a career, it's very important for me, in fact, it's a non-negotiable, that when I wake up every day, and I wake up two hours before I actually need to, but for me, that time is dedicated to, I would say, sharpening the axe, connecting, meditating, receiving downloads, being in gratitude. I like to call it
- 9:12charging up, right? Because all day I'm pouring out and pouring into people. And while that's the most beautiful thing there is, it also takes a lot out of you. So for me, it's so important to have a full battery every single day. And so I charge up every morning, I connect, I ask questions, I receive downloads.
- 9:31I listen or read something inspiring. I work out. And then I hit the ground running and I hit the day. And for me, that daily discipline makes all the difference in the world how my day will go. Right? Because I'm connecting to consciousness first thing to start the day as opposed to an older version of Craig, which should start the day being reactive.
- 9:52whether that's hitting snooze or going to your phone and responding to an email or text, that puts you in a reactive state. So I like to avoid that for at least an hour and a half. And I just want to be proactive and really connect, charge up. Don't forget a spiritual beautiful cup of coffee, maybe even two, but really elevate my conscience and connect, get those questions and ask those downloads so that every single day I'm on fire for life. I love this stuff in case you couldn't tell. And I just wanted to add this in because it's
- 10:20I'm so passionate about everybody elevating their consciousness, finding what they're good at, what their gifts are and what they love, and sharing those with the world. And oh, by the way, yes, unapologetically making a lot of money doing so, but allow that to be the byproduct, not the primary concern.
- 10:38If you're in a situation where you wake up every day and you feel the need that you have to prime your state to get excited about what you're doing, I think that's a very good indication that you're not in alignment with what you're doing. Because even though it's a lot of work each and every day, you should generally be enthusiastic and excited and love what you do. You're a different cat, dude, than two years ago. Again, go back and listen to that, episode one.
- 11:07Wow, have you grown. I couldn't be more proud of you. I've interviewed or I've had a lot of people that are friends of yours or that know you on the podcast, and they all say the same thing. Everybody loves you. I, of course, love you. You pour into people. So I want to take a second and just tell you about you and how amazing you
- 11:24that you are you at first, you make it so weird on how much love you pour out. The people that never had love like me rejected it. And you just kept pouring it on. And even when I see you now, like I came into New York, there was no way I was, I missed guys night out with you. And I was no way I was not going to go spend time with you. And we're going to, this podcast is going to be one of those conversations where that we've had behind closed doors on how to lift each other up.
- 11:54You're a huge marathoner, which you just talked about. So how does that shape your mindset and resilience? For me, one of the most important things that I do, and it's actually one of my primary themes for this year, is being proactively and intentionally very uncomfortable. So I'm not naturally a runner. Five foot seven and a half, I'm a little bit stocky. I never used to run. In fact, you couldn't pay me to run.
- 12:22But a few years back, when the sport of running entered my movie and I became a fan shooter with it, I was so blown away by how pure it was and how there's not really an opponent other than the opponent everybody has, the one inside your head.
- 12:38And so I just absolutely loved it because you can improve. You can expand your capacity. You can block out the interference. You can keep the opponent at bay. And for me, when I sign up for these marathons, right away something shifts. Something happens. So this thing is in the calendar. So now there's a little bit of extra accountability in my life.
- 13:03So who do I have to become? How much do I have to expand to be the type of guy that runs that marathon at a faster and faster pace? Because I like to challenge myself and set big goals. And the answer to that question is I have to be more disciplined,
- 13:20I have to be more willing to get up earlier, to say no to the things that are distractions. I have to expand my desire. And I just have to really expand in general everything about myself to be able to do those things. They're very uncomfortable for me. And so the 26.2 miles on the day of the marathon is beautiful. But for me, it's really about the training camp. That's where all the transformations ensue.
- 13:47And one of the things that I'm really leaning into this year is being patient in temporary discomfort. Because I believe if you can sit in temporary discomfort, that's really where you expand the most. Most people, as you know, avoid discomfort at all costs. Instant gratification, deliver this, deliver that, Uber, right? But how often do we intentionally make ourselves uncomfortable? That's how we actually expand and it's lasting. Right?
- 14:14And so for me, it's marathons. For anybody listening that might not be willing or have a desire to run 26.2 miles, find whatever your thing is, if not multiple, that creates an arena, if you will, for you to exercise proactively being uncomfortable because that's how you will grow and stretch yourself the most. We don't get to talk as much as we do, but when we do, it's meaningful and powerful. And I haven't told you
- 14:42what I'm doing to myself this year. I have put out the 500 workouts this year. So you can imagine there's got to be multiple two a days and very few days do I miss. So what you're saying back to back to back was be intentional. So every morning when I wake up, I think it's most of my workouts are on my calendar, right?
- 15:06cheat code, put it on your calendar, show me your calendar, I'll show you your priorities. So I guarantee you get on Craig's calendar. He's got marathon training and running on his daily calendar because I've seen his calendar. It's busy. He's got, after this podcast, he's on with probably doing one-on-one coaching or on another podcast. So, so,
- 15:26I learned that very young. That's why it's called harder than life. The 500. Think about that. Every morning I wake up, I got to think I can't miss a workout. And I got to figure out where I'm doubling them up. And even if I double them all up, that puts me in like October to hit my goal. If I worked out every single day, it's ridiculously uncomfortable. I got 21 workouts in so far, and I'm trying to figure out how I get 22 with my busy schedule in later this afternoon. But I'm already sore as can be.
- 15:55And I'm in great shape. Is that what you're talking about with resilience and put yourself in difficult, hard situations?
- 16:03First of all, yes, I'm going to answer in a second, but I couldn't help but just have a chuckle. I saw you post recently a phrase, softer than life. And I would just like to put this out there for anyone that is unwilling to get uncomfortable, that's softer than life. Because to be harder than life, you really want to proactively become uncomfortable because that really is where the growth happens. But I love that you said that. In regards to your question, I really want to quantum leap.
- 16:31in life. And just to unpack that a little bit, because I've really been obsessed with this term over the last couple of weeks, quantum leap is a term that's taken from quantum physics. It's the science behind technological breakthroughs, such as lasers, computers, and atomic energy. I don't know if you've ever seen the movie Oppenheim, and they talk a lot about that. And so most people operate with a mindset that assumes success comes from just one small step at a time.
- 16:57And a quantum leap implies that you could actually have an explosive jump in your personal and professional performance that puts you far beyond just your next logical step. And so how do we do that? How do we even get there? Well, just like you were just saying.
- 17:13A breakthrough like this demands an absolute radical departure from some of your current habits and ways of thinking. So you want to get to 500 workouts on a year that only has 365 days. So that sounds very uncomfortable, especially with someone as busy as you are. That means, like you said, you have to do two workouts a day, multiple days a year. That's uncomfortable. But the byproduct of that can be a quantum leap, right? So for me...
- 17:42I usually start training for these marathons in July, end of summer, to get ready for a full marathon. This year, I said, you know what? I have a different consciousness. I really want to shake things up. So I want to change my behaviors and my way of thinking. I'm going to start training this year in January. I have a new coach, love her very much. And I'm going to sign up for a bunch of smaller scheduled races starting in January.
- 18:07We just had one last weekend. It was only a 10K, which is 6.2 miles. But my performance showcased a 643 pace per mile, which for me is a quantum leap because that's not even close to what I'm typically accustomed to. So by changing my behavior, my way of thinking, starting seven months earlier this year, just like you're doing with a crazy goal, it's very uncomfortable. But it enables us to not just go to the next logical step with our goals, but we're going
- 18:34But to actually take a term from science, quantum leap. And I think that all of us in some capacity should desire big breakthroughs in our own lives. Quantum leaps. Playing small has and always will be canceled. I just, I was, you got to go back and listen to that again. I want to unpack that. What he said is a series of little wins.
- 18:57stacked together can become a quantum leap. That is literally my life. 500 workouts and the resilience that I build, the toughness, the mental toughness that I build, and then the body that I enhance. Now remember, guys, I'm fine at 49, but I'm turning 50 this year. So I want to be absolutely ripped in the best shape of my life at 50 because people say it can't be possible. And I love when you haters say,
- 19:27Undercover lovers or undercover fans are saying, putting your limiting beliefs on me because I'm going to do it and I'm going to pull you along with me, which is something that Craig is a master at. So don't forget to follow Craig on Instagram. He's always putting out a message.
- 19:46Amazing content. And this Quantum Leap thing is new and I'm loving every bit of it. What's next besides the Quantum Leap for you? What are your big goals that you're chasing? Because then we'll unpack those and let the listeners understand how two people who are winning massively get there.
- 20:05On a personal level, I just got married just about four months ago, as you know, you were there. And I'm looking forward, probably more than anything, God willing, to start a family at some point. It's not exactly like we're trying at this very moment, but...
- 20:21you know, being a father of a human son or daughter, because we have a puppy who I consider my son, it's something that I just, I envy. I can't wait. And it's something I'm really looking forward to. So if that's in the cards, that is a chapter that I can't wait for. In addition to that,
- 20:41We're gonna sign up for another marathon this year. As you can see, we started early this year in January. That's something I'm looking forward to expanding and really stretching myself. In regards to the business, we wanna take this thing to a whole nother level. If you look at what we've done over the last four plus years, we've made a lot of incremental progress and I'm very, very excited, happy, and grateful with the progress you made. And the way that I measure progress is reaching as many people as we can and shifting some conscience and help people.
- 21:10But this year, I really have a big agenda to take it to a whole nother level. And so some of the ways that we're going to be able to do that is, number one, I'm a lot more excited than I was the previous year about speaking. So last year, I was planning a wedding. I was also running on the marathon. And so when I built my business, I built it virtually. So I was totally okay with being much more selective when it comes to speaking. In 2025, I'm saying yes to a lot more opportunities. We're going to speak in a lot of different places.
- 21:40Also, something else that we did recently was I began to really give energy to this idea of claiming my position. And I think this will really resonate with your audience. So what do I mean by that? When you claim your position, that means you're getting very clear about your standard, what you stand for, what you'll tolerate and what you will not.
- 21:59And so we started hiring people to support the mission on the team that I can say are rock stars in what they do. The old Craig, when I was learning lessons and so forth, wanted to give everybody a chance. I hired people that had potential, but weren't necessarily experts in what I needed help with.
- 22:19And so while we were able to progress, that type of consciousness only can get us so far. And so one of the things that I needed to correct, my soul's transformation, one of them, because I'm sure I have many, is my ability to delegate and relinquish control. And so I started hiring people that it's much easier to let go with because I really trust them. And they're really helping us right now when it comes to marketing and spreading the message, building out the podcast and all the bigs.
- 22:45So we want to take this thing to a whole nother level, get in front of so many more people. And then the last thing I'll say is, one thing that I started to do last year, which made all the difference in the world, with the impact, the reach, obviously money, business, is to bring spirituality into the business. And that's been absolutely huge for us. And I want to quadruple down on that idea this year. I want to talk about standards and boundaries because you've mixed that in there, but I want to...
- 23:14remind the listeners that he's for the, the CLS experience is four years old. He started it during the pandemic and he was a wall street guy. And now he dropped all that. And I just went to his wedding. Like he said, and I'll tell you who was there. It was officiated by the one and only John Gordon. I sat next to Rebecca Zung, Catherine Gordon, right in front of uncle Dave Meltzer,
- 23:42This is in four years what he's cultivated. Not to mention me, who's going to be the number one podcaster in the world soon. And it all started with the first conversation I had with Craig was, what are your standards and boundaries? You see it all over social media right now. You don't get what you want. You get who you are.
- 24:07Go down that path. Treat me like you did two years ago and broke me down in the one-on-one session. Talk to the audience about their standards and boundaries and how, if they address those, is the secret to their quantum leap. Beautiful. And it really ties into what we just talked about in regards to claiming your position. Let's say you're saying all the right things, and I quote the right things. But your behaviors say something totally different.
- 24:37Now you don't have integrity with yourself. And as a result, your standards are fugazi, for lack of better words. Right? So if you're going to set standards, let's just say you want to cater to a certain type of clientele or the people that you hire must have a certain consciousness or skill set. But then...
- 25:00You let your guard down a little bit. You're like, you know what? I could really use the income. I'm going to cater to this clientele or this person might not be what I'm looking for, but we're going to hire them and give them a chance. Now, there's nothing wrong with that, but you're now dropping below the standards or the position that you set from the get go.
- 25:18So also being integrity with yourself means that you say you're going to do something and it's non-negotiable, you follow through. Now, to the physical world, that sounds pretty obvious. Oh, well, yeah, if you said you're going to do something, you should. But spiritually speaking...
- 25:34When you activate that desire and you put the consciousness out there and you say you're going to do something, the more that you follow through with those things, the more divine doors and opportunities will be opened for you. Because, spoiler alert, we're not really the ones running this show here. Right.
- 25:52right? But we want to do all that we can do and then step aside and let the lighting. So setting standards and respecting those standards in addition to your boundaries is one of the most important things that you can do to fuel your success.
- 26:09Standards to me are extremely important because for the longest times I had standards, but I didn't enforce them. So what I was signaling the universe when we're going to really get deep here, I was signaling the universe. My standards were baloney, were garbage, and it'll keep sending you that until you learn it. When I was young and abused myself.
- 26:32I literally sought out relationships that would do the same. That was my familiar misery, my normal. So I would go from relationship to relationship to relationship, and that would abuse me, that would leave me, that would abandon me, just like my parents did.
- 26:50Now, nobody beats me because I'm too damn big. But having said that, would you take the Craig Siegel approach and break that down? Because you broke it down to me. Because the listeners are absolutely going to relate to this. That the energetic field that we put out, the karmic law. Break it down. Even if you want to do your beloved Kabbalah, which I want to get into. But tell me, what are you signaling the universe?
- 27:18when you don't enforce your standard. One of the biggest fundamental concepts that we learn in Kabbalah is this idea of cause and effect. Other people might refer to it as karma, but the reality is everything is connected. So imagine you have a pemble and you're by a river or lake and you throw it in and I think it's called skipping and you see it go over the water, and it creates these ripples and ripples. That's what's happening in our life.
- 27:47And it goes even deeper because it's not just so much of what you do. So, for example, let's say you're in traffic, someone cuts you off, you give them a finger. Obviously not great energy, whatever the case may be. But it's also your thoughts. So if you're feeding the opponent or the ego negative energy, that has ripple effects. This is a game changer for everybody. I cannot trust it enough to grab the journal, listen to it back, whatever is good for you.
- 28:12Behaving in a proactive way is like turning a light bulb on in a dark room. You become a magnet for what you desire to manifest. Here's the thing. It took Edison, I believe, roughly 10,000 times to literally turn on the light.
- 28:34But how many times do we try in our life? Once, twice, and then we give up. Why is that? Right? So the whole idea is transforming from always being reactive to being proactive. And let's go even deeper. There are universal laws in the universe, spiritual laws.
- 28:56One law that everybody is familiar with is gravity. That means that if someone were to jump out the window behind me, even if they were a great person, they would just go down. There are also universal laws. So the next time, don't take my word for it. I encourage everybody to test this out. The next time something happens to you,
- 29:16Whether it's a text, an email, someone cuts you off, someone didn't hold the elevator for you. Whatever it is that would typically trigger a reaction from you. I remember Craig and Kelly were talking about this. I want you to just pause and do nothing for a moment.
- 29:36Realize the opportunity here at hand. And then you have the ability to transform from what you would typically do as being reactive to now proactively making a conscious decision on how you want to handle the situation. And just that very practical move will open up doors and opportunities and bring you closer and more connected to, I would say, light, creator, whatever's good for you guys.
- 30:00So this isn't like woo-woo stuff. This is a practical universal law. And next time you feel triggered, just do the opposite of what you would typically do and don't react. Pause. What a blessing. What an opportunity. And watch how the seas begin to part. And then all of a sudden, proactively, there's now an unbelievable opportunity there that didn't exist had you just been reactive.
- 30:26I call that the sacred pause. And if you don't want to do it, ask yourself this question. No, I'm going to tell you this. What if I told you that's the exact reason why you're getting the outcomes that you're getting? So just try something new. You heard it from not one seagull, but two seagulls.
- 30:49Two is better than one. And it was funny because that's where we were at your wedding. There were so many seagulls everywhere to know where to go. And I will also, I told you this before, but we were so busy. One of the highest honors was walking up and kissing your mother and her looking at me and knowing exactly who I was and everything about me. That is what makes everybody love you because you're pouring into them. So this is the time I'm going to talk about that you've built literally one of the most engaging communities in the CLS family.
- 31:19What's the secret to creating something that truly resonates with people? You're going to sound almost a little corny, but I don't know how else to say other than to actually care, to actually give a shit. Right. And so consciousness. So the difference between audience and community. Audience is one too many.
- 31:38But a community is where everybody's a part of it. It's almost like there's a connected, unified, collective consciousness. And we all want to support each other, elevate each other, and see each other win. And as long as there's an ego conscious in there, it's like having one rotten apple in a barrel of 10. At some point, all the apples would become rotten if you don't get rid of it.
- 32:00So you want to keep a good consciousness, you want to support each other, and you want to actually care. And to make a connection between that and business, let's say you're building a company, which you are. So you want to get to the next level, meaning you want to make a lot more money, you want to help people and expand the business.
- 32:18You can keep doing what you're doing and it might be working, but if you keep doing what you're doing and you're willing to shift the consciousness behind it, it'll open up so many more doors, right? So for example, I'm sure there's a version of both of us that used to exist where it was more about selfish desires. I want to make more money. That was the sole priority, whatever the case may be. But now with the business, it's like,
- 32:41Let me make sure my staff and my employees are taken care of, that they feel good about the situation. Because I know if they are, then our customers are going to be taken care of. And then the byproduct is that, is everybody wins, more customers are frozen, the business begins to thrive. So you're doing the same thing just from a different consciousness. And I think consciousness is primary, and that's actually the cheat code. What you used to call that to me, and you said this to me a thousand times, was marry the process and divorce the outcome.
- 33:11come boom and i it your head used to pop up on my shoulder and say that to me all the time i didn't understand it till this year and i get it i just i have goals i set them if i make them great i'm just gonna take daily incremental wins like listen i want to make the 500 500 workouts i know what the goal is all i can control is what i can do today today i've already got one in i'm gonna go
- 33:41And it's at five o'clock tonight. That's all I can do today. I can't do 500 workouts today. So break them down into small digestible pieces. And the best investment you'll ever make is in yourself. It's so odd that we just recorded two solo episodes. And as you know, the expansion of Kelly Siegel and the Heart of the Life brand is we got a new producer. We've got a new show set. We've got new formats. We're doing a second show. Yeah.
- 34:10Sounds familiar. I should have just followed your blueprint that you put out. And by the way, I always love that you've always paid it forward and given to me. And anytime I've ever called or reached out to anybody, they recognize the last name and they recognize me from you. So you have definitely paid it forward. So I, I really appreciate you, but I want to give a, the infomercial for the CLS, the best investment you'll make is in yourself. He has his weekly calls. They're extremely important.
- 34:37I want to say reinventive, but not only reinventive, they just breathe fire into you.
- 34:43bring some amazing guests on almost every single one of the guests, but on my podcast. So thank you for making the heart of life podcast, top 20 all the time, because you bring people on, they remember me. And I want to say to people that reach out to Craig, it's extremely affordable. And the best investment you'll ever do is on yourself. And every single person that's ever been a part of it or ever been in it absolutely loves and adores Craig because he pays it forward. Where did that,
- 35:11paying it forward come from? Is it from that beautiful brother and family? Because the bond between you and David, it's just, it's amazing. Where did that come from? Thank you for saying that. I wasn't always like that. When I reinvented myself, it was really more of a spiritual awakening. And I finally started to get it and allow the light in and really cultivate this deep, beautiful, profound relationship with greater.
- 35:37And so for me now, my assignment is to help as many people as I can. And nothing excites me more than working with somebody like you who has the ability to influence so many more people. Right? So if I could bring you a little bit closer to the light, pay it forward, and shift your consciousness, I know that the ripple effect of bipartite of that is you're going to then change, if not a billion, billions of lives.
- 36:04So for me, at this point, I know why I'm here now. It took me 35 years, depending upon who you ask. Maybe that's early, maybe that's late. But I just want to open up as many doors as I can. I don't believe in competing with anybody else out there. I do think it's nice to have a competitive edge once in a while. I think a healthy one, like I think of Michael Jordan, that used to just create weird drama so that he can have even an extra edge on the basketball court.
- 36:32But especially with social media these days, you go on, everybody's kind of flaunting a fabricated version of what's really happening. I'm not interested. I wish everybody the best. I don't really care about that. What I'm interested in is being the top of Craig Siegel.
- 36:47to be the best possible version that I can be, to reach my potential and expand my capacity. And one of the ways to do that is to continuously pay it forward with no agenda, no need for recognition, and continuously open up doors and do the right thing. And the people that I'm attracting are people that can then do the same, if not even bigger. So for me now, it's just part of the assignment. And I just believe that there's so much more than enough for all of us, brother. We shouldn't be competing. We should all be collaborating and helping each other.
- 37:16To get more of this, by the way, his book is right here. I keep them handy. I give them out to people, the reinvention formula. You wrote this now. What are we, a year later? I think you need a new chapter now on love and family because you're a different cat. You're a different person. I mean, I said four years ago, heck, you're a different person a year ago. Yeah.
- 37:38How does it feel when you see someone like me, who's one of your former mentees, actually achieve the goals that we talk about? Very simple. The world is in good hands with people like you. Right? And so the amount of impact that you're going to make, your pursuit right now, your desire, that's a job well done. Because I can only imagine how much you're going to influence this world.
- 38:05Now, to be clear, to be vulnerable, and you know this because we've had some private conversations, and for some reason I just feel called to share right now, there will be people along the way that you desire to help that let you down. One thing that I've learned is that you can't want it more for someone than they want for themselves.
- 38:22And so I've improved and gotten better at being able to see, I don't know if this is the nicest way to say this, but like who's worth your time or not. And the way that I would measure who's worth your time is someone that really has a big desire to really do a lot of good in the world. And if somebody doesn't, that's okay.
- 38:41but I don't want to spend all my time on them. I'd rather spend my time on someone like you that continues to awaken their desire and also has the willingness to share and do great stuff. So kind of a long-winded answer, but it makes me very proud, fulfilled, and continuously love what I do when I see people like you that are making transformations and changes and sharing with the world. And it's funny because there's a misconception, especially in like relationships, where it's like,
- 39:10I remember my now wife said to me recently, you change so much.
- 39:15And I feel like most people would think, or maybe an older version of me would take that almost as an insult. But right away, I was like, thank you so much. What a compliment. Because I'm changing and expanding and evolving every single day. I really don't even recognize myself from six months ago. And so the fact that you're changing before my very eyes, you're transforming and then sharing that with other people, it's the most beautiful thing there is. You're just walking the talk there. That's why people love you because you're authentic, genuine, transparent, vulnerable,
- 39:44handsome and successful all in the same person must be a seagull thing. I don't know. I alluded to the reinvention form of the book. Uh, and it's, it's all about leveling up. It's a real easy, quick, good read guys. And it's funny. It's like you were in, we just recorded two solo podcasts. It's like,
- 40:02just keep reiterating what i've said so it's we just say it in different ways and implement it with our different sayings and way we do it and there's it's the same success leaves clues success has the same path we all need to get there but what is one reinvention hack that people can start using today
- 40:24whether it's in the book or whether it's something new. I encourage everybody to really lean in to getting super uncomfortable and really pushing the envelope with your own life. We have to challenge ourselves on a deeper level.
- 40:39And so there's a word, probably a different conversation, but in Kabbalah, it's the word tukun. And basically, it's the correction that our soul is here to make. And when we're able to identify them, and for how do you do that, people in your movie or in your life...
- 40:56will typically tend to show up as either a mirror or a trigger about something about you, right? So if you're finding it hard to receive love from somebody or you're chasing somebody, that's probably an indication that that needs to be worked out with you first, right? So think of it like, let's say you're driving in a car and the dashboard light comes on, right? And it's indicating that there's a problem somewhere. It's not actually the dashboard that needs to be fixed, right?
- 41:25right? You could just replace the bowl. But it's indicating that something else, something's going on under the hood that we need to correct and transform. And that is true with life. And either you will choose your correction proactively, or it will be forced on you. And that's painful.
- 41:43So start looking for ways within yourself that you can begin to correct and transform your own negative tendencies. If you're seeing things show up over and over again in your movie, that's not a coincidence. Get curious about it. Ask questions. Why does this keep showing up? What is this trying to teach me?
- 41:59And when we have the awareness or the conscious to identify what that is and then have the desire to correct it, you open up huge quantum leaps of light, abundance, blessings, and opportunities. More so than wherever on your whiteboard that you even dream possible because that's a universal law. But you have to be willing to challenge yourself.
- 42:20on a very, very deep level. From one single to another, I'm gonna tell you the cheapest way to give hardness and to look into yourself. Stillness, solitude, and silence. Those are the three things that if you just did this and we in today's society, you said it earlier in the podcast, we all don't like difficult times. Nothing more difficult in this instant gratification world than being alone,
- 42:47being still and being silent. We all want to pick up our gadgets. We all want to scroll on social media. We want to call our friends. And that's the easiest way. So you, if you don't know what, just sit in a quiet room by yourself with no devices, grab a piece of paper and a pencil, write down your thoughts. That's from one seagull to another. Beautiful. You've been endorsed by some heavyweights are, are,
- 43:16Good friend, Ed Milet, Jim Quick. What's the best piece of advice I ever gave you? You have to have an unwavering commitment, right? So in life, you don't get what you want. You get what you're committed to. If you're actually committed to something and you're willing to break down a system and you have the desire for it, it's inevitable, right? And I see so many people that are just interested and not committed. And as a result, they waver or they never achieve the success they fully desire.
- 43:45or they end up in a movie that's not their own, or the wrong arena, and so forth. And so once you find out what it is that you're here to do, what your gifts are, and so forth, I want to really stress the word committed today, and to be absolutely unwaveringly committed to what you're doing. And if you have that commitment, and you're willing to learn along the way, and not take things personally, there's really no way that you can achieve your dreams and success.
- 44:11But again, I just want to reiterate the big difference between being interested in something and being absolutely committed. And a lot of the great, some of our mutual friends and so forth, I see them through thick and thin just have an unwavered commitment to excellence and what it is that they're doing. And I think that's very admirable. When you commit the universe, your friends, your friends.
- 44:35Everybody's going to make you think you need to be committed, meaning thrown in a sane asylum because they want to keep you where you are. People fear change. I still get it. People think I'm absolutely insane. And that means you're on the right path.
- 44:54Going different levels different devils different problems. It's going to require a different you So those are good things for those of you listening to this is the first time What was the reason? Why you wanted to reinvent yourself and what was happening? I know this I just skipped over and I just realized You can go back to listen to podcast one, but but give us that backstory that that that story that you tell about being on wall street and how
- 45:23And you're dating this girl. It was why did you choose to reinvent yourself? Well, good, brother. So I would encourage everybody, you know, listen to the first episode, grab the book, whatever the case may be. Cliff note version is that what I discovered from spending 13 years on Wall Street and also not really sure who I was in this world is that if your fulfillment comes from the outside, it's always going to be temporary. Right.
- 45:48always, whether it's money, the girls, the penthouse, the watches, all the things. But you start to realize anything like that in the 1% of the physical world will create a temporary moment of excitement and then nothing, a high and then bye, right? So you can't gain fulfillment. Right?
- 46:06When it comes from outside, it has to be from within. And it has to have no side effects. And so for me, when I was on Wall Street and I was doing all these things and achieving what I considered at that season to be success, is that there was something much more for me to do here.
- 46:27And so I made a very uncomfortable decision in the pandemic when I shut down my office for what I thought would be two weeks. And that was to do something more meaningful with my life. Right. And look, I want to be very delicate about talking about God, Raider and all that stuff. But I also know that your audience has a big appetite and desire for it.
- 46:49I say creator, someone else might say God, divine, Jesus, Hanukkah, Harry, whatever works for you. One thing that I think we can all agree on is that it's an endless energy, an endless energy. And so to be able to channel that energy into the world in a big way, we ourselves have to be endless, meaning no limits.
- 47:14And so for the first time, I decided to consider what else is possible if I remove limitations from my life. And that's when I started getting the downloads about CLS and personal development and how, quite frankly, I'm obsessed with this stuff, with helping people with elevating consciences, with reprogramming mindsets and doing a lot of good. And so when I got really quiet in the pandemic, and I want to encourage everybody to
- 47:38Don't wait for a lockdown to do this. Be proactive and schedule white space in your calendar because that's actually where the downloads come, not in the grind. And so I put this whole thing together on how to build a movement. I had no celebrity friends, no connections, no followers, no nothing, but I felt very certain about this path.
- 47:59And so another phrase that we talk about often, which is an oldie but a goodie, is when I considered going back and not doing this, I considered the cost of inaction, COI.
- 48:08And for me, it was death because I finally found what my gifts are and what I want to do. And so if I neglected that and chose to just go back and be miserable because Wall Street stopped becoming fun for me, then I was basically telling the creator, like, I don't really want to use the gifts that were given to me. I'm good here.
- 48:29And so from there, the fear of stepping into the unknown began to transform into enthusiasm and excitement. And I also am the type of cat that had to burn the boats. So I left. I went all in. I activated certainty consciousness, meaning I don't know exactly exactly.
- 48:47how this is going to play out. Yes, I set a plan, 10-lane highway. You can read all about that in the book. But I was certain that this was the path and the right doors would open, the right ideas, the right downloads, and I would make it work, and this is what I'm here to do. And so in order to activate certainty consciousness, you have to be able to give with no condition and to be able to do something uncomfortable, even if you can't see the end result in sight. And so I leaned in, and for lack of better words, for the first time in my life,
- 49:15I was in alignment. I was a gladiator in the correct arena. And it began to explode. The podcast, the book, the coaching, the community, the tattoo, all the things. Obviously, as you know, left Wall Street, got married, all the things. And I've never had more fun. I've never been more fulfilled. I've never made more of an impact. And interestingly, I never made more money. And just to put it in perspective, here's how you really know if you're in alignment. Okay.
- 49:41This might trigger some. For those of you that are listening right now, if you just came into a billion dollars, would you still wake up tomorrow or next week and keep doing what you're doing? And for me, the answer is absolutely. I love this stuff. Nothing would change. I might make some different decisions, some better investments, but I love this stuff. Maybe I would pour it into marketing so we could expand the reach. I love this stuff. I'm in alignment. I'm in alignment.
- 50:08And if you don't feel that way, if it's based upon money, it's a great opportunity to reassess and reinvent your consciousness so we can get you on the right seat, on the correct bus, so you could use your gifts, make a lot of money, and make a massive impact.
- 50:24Microphone drop right there, but I got a comment and a question. One last question where to bring this thing home is comment is I just realized just out this all this time I've known you. You had to download and started the brand right away during the pandemic. I was sitting here doing pushups and sit ups, trying to figure out what the download was, which was the exact same download. And then the universe, God, source, Hanukkah Harry, put us together.
- 50:54And now look, so there are no coincidences. You were meant to be in my life. The most proud outcome I have had from going down the personal development field and meeting all the people I've done is the peace that I have in my heart. It allows me to connect and be happy for everybody and be able to give back to the world and be happier than life, really. Not hard life. Craig, what's the most...
- 51:24proud outcome you've had or gift that you've received by reinventing yourself? We get a lot of messages often, testimonials and reviews and people reaching out to me personally saying how much it changed your life or something I said really stuck out to them. But I think the one that
- 51:45really fills my heart the most is when I bump into somebody that I don't know. And they're like, I've been following you. I love what you did here. And when you said that, I decided to change this. And so what that tells me is that it's working. And we're reaching a lot of people. We're shifting a lot of consciousness. We're changing a lot of lives. But it's always nice when it comes from somebody that you know.
- 52:09But when you bump into someone, they know who you are because of a nugget that you shared that influenced them to then do something more meaningful with their life. It's tough to beat that, brother. And I just, just happened to me last night, actually, the Kabbalah Center. Someone came up to me. I didn't know who they were. I just wanted to introduce myself and follow you. You said this, and I pivoted here. And it's just, it's one of the most beautiful feelings. And I love to, to be honest with you, I love to experience those. And that's one of my favorite things. And it's hard to top that one.
- 52:37So I'm gonna end it with that exact thing. It's just, just download it to me. I'm gonna try not to get emotional. I owe a lot of who I am and what I am to you. And you poured love and showed me love when I didn't know how to receive it. And you kept doing it and kept doing it. When I saw you in person, you grabbed me and hugged me for,
- 53:05what had to be 20, 30 seconds.
- 53:08And now I can look back and know that was your plan all along. Your ability to diagnose and then prescribe and give what your coaches need is second to none. And you know that I'm right here with you, behind you, pushing you. And I just want to say thank you. Thank you for being who you are. Thank you for pouring into me. Thank you for being patient when I was hard-headed.
- 53:38And John Gordon said to me the last time when I was on his podcast, he said, Kelly, be yourself. The world loves you. And I'm lovable. And I believe it now because of you. So thank you. See that. Thank you for saying that. I love you. And so pumped to see what happens to me or not with you, brother. I can't wait to meet whenever.
- 54:00You're a father. You're going to make a great father like your brother and like your father, and you have a beautiful family. I love you. Please, everybody, rate, share. Craig has a weekly program. He's got the reinvention formula, SEAL experience. Is there anything coming up in the month of February that you want to tell the people about? Because I know you're doing a bunch of freebies.
