- 0:00Speaker 1: All right, guys, here we are last break of the
- 0:02Speaker 1: day and stevis on you to close us out.
- 0:06Speaker 2: You know it's the day after Easter, right, so I
- 0:10Speaker 2: just want to remind people about your faith.
- 0:14Speaker 3: Listen.
- 0:14Speaker 2: I've grown into this type of person. I've seen so
- 0:16Speaker 2: many things online criticizing me about trying to start a
- 0:20Speaker 2: new religion, mixing Islam with Christianity.
- 0:25Speaker 3: Which is not true.
- 0:26Speaker 2: But there's even a pastor that went online and said
- 0:30Speaker 2: he's trying to make two religions. Now who he think
- 0:33Speaker 2: he is? Christianity and Islam don't mix. I'll just be
- 0:38Speaker 2: listening to people. Here's the truth if you want, if
- 0:41Speaker 2: you want to hear what it is. I've said that
- 0:44Speaker 2: I've grown to be a person to understand all faiths
- 0:48Speaker 2: and allow people the grace to believe what it is
- 0:51Speaker 2: they were raised to believe. That is my take on religion.
- 0:56Speaker 2: I have quite a few relationships with people who are Muslim.
- 1:03Speaker 2: I have some Muslims that I absolutely love.
- 1:06Speaker 3: I have some.
- 1:07Speaker 2: Muslims that have been friends to me more than any
- 1:11Speaker 2: other Christian has. I know some Muslims who have told
- 1:14Speaker 2: me the truth about how they really feel. I've had
- 1:17Speaker 2: some people in that faith man, just show some real character. Now,
- 1:23Speaker 2: as in all faiths, we got bad people. But I
- 1:26Speaker 2: know some outstanding Christians. I know some people who are
- 1:30Speaker 2: men of God that are just outstanding, that have kept
- 1:32Speaker 2: me man and out of harm's way with advice and
- 1:36Speaker 2: things of that nature. I know some great Christian men.
- 1:41Speaker 2: I have some Christian men who matter in my life.
- 1:45Speaker 2: So what I've grown into, though, is a person that
- 1:50Speaker 2: has enough sense to not be judgmental. It's not my
- 1:56Speaker 2: call how this thing will work out. Even though I
- 2:00Speaker 2: believe in the Bible, it's still not my call to
- 2:04Speaker 2: make judgments or other people and how it will work
- 2:06Speaker 2: out for them. It's just not my call, and I
- 2:11Speaker 2: choose not to make it mine. Now, you can get
- 2:15Speaker 2: mad at me because you won't hear me say this,
- 2:17Speaker 2: But see, listen to me talking against somebody's faith ain't
- 2:22Speaker 2: gonna make yours no bigger, no better, or no stronger.
- 2:27Speaker 3: So why do it the way I choose to live.
- 2:31Speaker 2: If I've decided to discuss and find more of the
- 2:35Speaker 2: similarities in us than the differences, that's what's keeping us
- 2:39Speaker 2: apart right now in this world we keep going over
- 2:42Speaker 2: the differences.
- 2:44Speaker 3: But you know what there are a lot of similarities.
- 2:47Speaker 3: I was talking to a Muslim one day.
- 2:49Speaker 2: You know what they told me, and it threw me
- 2:51Speaker 2: off because you know, this was a while back, but
- 2:55Speaker 2: you know, I didn't know how they felt about Christianity,
- 3:00Speaker 2: really know how Christians feel about Muslims. I really don't
- 3:03Speaker 2: know exactly because you hear so many different takes. But
- 3:06Speaker 2: you know what this Muslim man told me. He's a
- 3:08Speaker 2: young guy too. He says, Steve, we understand Jesus Christ.
- 3:13Speaker 2: He said, Jesus is mentioned in the Koran twenty five times.
- 3:21Speaker 2: He said that Jesus is mentioned more times in the
- 3:25Speaker 2: Koran than some major Muslim figures that you would think.
- 3:29Speaker 2: And I don't want to quote exactly what he said
- 3:31Speaker 2: because I don't want to misquoted. There somebody go, well,
- 3:34Speaker 2: that ain't true, that ain't true. But this is what
- 3:36Speaker 2: he was saying. So he had a respect for my faith.
- 3:41Speaker 2: I in turn have a respect for his faith. But
- 3:45Speaker 2: this is what I do know. For most people, most
- 3:48Speaker 2: people will be whatever they mother was. Whatever your mother
- 3:51Speaker 2: burst you into this world, ass that's what you will be.
- 3:54Speaker 2: My mother bore me into this world as a Christian.
- 3:57Speaker 2: That's what I am. I spent a lot of time
- 3:59Speaker 2: in the Middle East, in a Muslim country, and guess what,
- 4:02Speaker 2: I get along just fine. So on this day that
- 4:08Speaker 2: they recognize as a resurrection of my Lord and Savior,
- 4:12Speaker 2: Jesus Christ, I acknowledge that fully. It has been the
- 4:17Speaker 2: cornerstone of my life. It has been the cornerstone of
- 4:20Speaker 2: my faith. It is the cornerstone of my whole existence.
- 4:25Speaker 2: When I get in trouble, I know no name more
- 4:28Speaker 2: powerful than his, and I use it, and I call
- 4:31Speaker 2: it on a consistent level and on a consistent basis.
- 4:35Speaker 2: And you can say whatever you want to say about me.
- 4:38Speaker 2: It don't matter to me no more, because I got
- 4:42Speaker 2: to live my life, just like you got to live
- 4:44Speaker 2: your life. But we got to live in this world, y'all.
- 4:49Speaker 2: Than the world ain't just the United States of America.
- 4:54Speaker 2: This world includes Africa and all the beliefs that are
- 4:59Speaker 2: over there in Africa, all the different languages that are
- 5:02Speaker 2: there in Africa, all of the digital, different cultural things
- 5:05Speaker 2: that are in Africa. It belongs in this world, and
- 5:08Speaker 2: it exists. So it is with Asia, so it is
- 5:13Speaker 2: with Europe, so it is with any other place you
- 5:16Speaker 2: want to look at. We all live in this world
- 5:18Speaker 2: and we were all created by God.
- 5:21Speaker 3: We are all children of God.
- 5:23Speaker 2: Now what they believe over there and then over there
- 5:26Speaker 2: and over here and over there, because it don't match yours.
- 5:28Speaker 3: Man, I got news for you.
- 5:30Speaker 2: I don't really know how God gonna let this thing
- 5:33Speaker 2: all play out. The Bible says that it'll play this away,
- 5:38Speaker 2: and okay, but do you really know how God is
- 5:41Speaker 2: looking at this? And I don't think you do a
- 5:46Speaker 2: j I just don't think well, I can't say that.
- 5:49Speaker 2: I can't say that I don't think you do. Let
- 5:51Speaker 2: me just say this right here. I don't think you
- 5:54Speaker 2: have the right to sit up and say what God
- 5:57Speaker 2: gonna do and how God is. You can pass some
- 6:00Speaker 2: judgments on a couple of things, but in the end,
- 6:03Speaker 2: you really don't know how He gonna make this thing
- 6:05Speaker 2: work out. So I respect everybody's faith. Do it as
- 6:09Speaker 2: you will or may. As long as you're a kind,
- 6:11Speaker 2: a righteous person and try to treat others with love
- 6:13Speaker 2: and dignity, then I got respect for you, and I
- 6:16Speaker 2: will continue to respect them and shout out to all
- 6:20Speaker 2: my friends around the world. Whatever faith you are, Steve
- 6:22Speaker 2: Harvey got love for you, appreciate it. Those are my
