- 1:40Speaker 7: Oh yes, yes, thank you.
- 1:42Speaker 1: It looks very cool.
- 1:45Speaker 7: Even though they spelt entrepreneur wrong.
- 1:47Speaker 1: Did they really.
- 1:50Speaker 6: So good?
- 1:51Speaker 1: That's so good?
- 1:53Speaker 7: The irony is beautiful.
- 1:55Speaker 4: Did you are after you accepted the award? Did you
- 1:58Speaker 4: just walk back through the crowd carrying the award in
- 2:00Speaker 4: one hand and then just pointing to your erection in
- 2:03Speaker 4: the other.
- 2:04Speaker 1: No, I did that. You got over your own self
- 2:06Speaker 1: sense of satisfaction. I did thank you.
- 2:08Speaker 4: In this speech though, Yeah, yeah, you did thank me
- 2:12Speaker 4: in the show speech.

- 3:00Speaker 1: Like it the driver? Look at this the driver's show
- 3:05Speaker 1: mug and T shirts.

- 3:08Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 3:09Speaker 4: Now they didn't have a triple extra large for you.
- 3:11Speaker 4: Still working with a tent company. I'm trying to get
- 3:16Speaker 4: you the Paul Moomoo macpack. Yes, look at that. Yeah,
- 3:23Speaker 4: we can get something organized here. There we go, excel,
- 3:27Speaker 4: I think, so even if it's tired, even better. I'll
- 3:30Speaker 4: take the small.
- 3:31Speaker 1: Obviously, Marty, they don't make child size for you. Sorry, buddy.
- 3:36Speaker 7: I love that.
- 3:36Speaker 1: That is great.
- 3:37Speaker 7: Look at you organizing something.
- 3:39Speaker 1: You guys.
- 3:39Speaker 4: So we're gonna have merch now, by the way I
- 3:41Speaker 4: want to do obviously we have to do a massive,
- 3:45Speaker 4: massive shout out to Gus from Machines. Plus, Gus owns
- 3:49Speaker 4: this company, and I actually spoke to him. I called
- 3:52Speaker 4: him to say thank you for the merch, Gussie, so
- 3:55Speaker 4: I did give him a buzz and you know, he
- 3:57Speaker 4: gave me some info from the company and like the
- 4:00Speaker 4: people who are making our merch are the best in
- 4:03Speaker 4: the country.
- 4:04Speaker 1: This guy isn't actually a merch major country. The one we.
- 4:08Speaker 4: Visited a cue a couple of episodes ago. It's just
- 4:11Speaker 4: an old man with some sort of strung together printing press.
- 4:17Speaker 4: But it's yeah, he basically tests giant printers for the
- 4:22Speaker 4: biggest companies in Australia like EPSOM and stuff like that.
- 4:25Speaker 7: But it is fantastic.
- 4:26Speaker 1: He's kind of a reviewer as well in a way
- 4:28Speaker 1: at a legend.
- 4:29Speaker 7: Thank you so much, Gus. That is that is great.
- 4:32Speaker 7: So we can. We find his website for people who
- 4:34Speaker 7: are interested.
- 4:35Speaker 4: In I'm gonna say Machines Plus. Look, he's given as
- 4:39Speaker 4: a sweet little catalog, so there will be some merch
- 4:42Speaker 4: coming and in the meantime we're going to post them
- 4:45Speaker 4: out to some peeps.
- 4:46Speaker 7: Excellent.
- 4:46Speaker 1: I love it.
- 4:47Speaker 7: Yeah, machines plus dot com, tod Au, good on you, gus,
- 4:50Speaker 7: little bloody.
- 4:50Speaker 1: Legends, go Gussie. And doesn't the merch look good?
- 4:53Speaker 7: It looks really high quality. You know when you get
- 4:55Speaker 7: like stuff off red Bubble and you know.
- 4:58Speaker 1: Read a bubble, what's the Ponti out red Bubble.
- 5:01Speaker 7: It's like a sight we can buy merchandise and you
- 5:04Speaker 7: get it and it's like, oh okay, I'll just wear
- 5:07Speaker 7: my other shirt from it came out.
- 5:09Speaker 1: Yeah yeah, right, oh god, that is awesome.
- 5:12Speaker 7: That's way to wear that.
- 5:13Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm sure you can't.
- 5:14Speaker 7: You can.
- 5:15Speaker 1: I'm sure.
- 5:16Speaker 4: I'm sure your wife Moodies is looking forward to your
- 5:18Speaker 4: new bedroom attire. It's just you wearing nothing but a
- 5:22Speaker 4: T shirt.
- 5:23Speaker 7: Just a whole cut out of the bottom.
- 5:26Speaker 4: For the front for that yeah right, ah wow, jeez,
- 5:31Speaker 4: Moodies is in for a treat with that.
- 5:33Speaker 7: Time to be alive. Love it good on you guys,
- 5:35Speaker 7: So thank.
- 5:35Speaker 1: You for that. Gussie. You know, Trevor was supposed to
- 5:38Speaker 1: be joining us on this show. He's in Thailand.
- 5:42Speaker 4: Oh yeah, it's all making sense now.
- 5:47Speaker 7: I always thought he was into a bit of that.
- 5:50Speaker 1: Well.
- 5:50Speaker 4: I mean, we've got to be very careful. We don't
- 5:52Speaker 4: want another lawsuit. And by the way, me and Trevor
- 5:55Speaker 4: have just become besties, so I imagine that he.
- 5:59Speaker 1: Is doing over there. I mean, Trev's probably what's the
- 6:02Speaker 1: tang on? Hang on, hang on? Let's see what time
- 6:04Speaker 1: it is. What does I say the current time in Thailand? Hey, siri,
- 6:09Speaker 1: what is the current time in Thailand?
- 6:12Speaker 3: In Bangkok, Thailand? It's four five pm.
- 6:15Speaker 1: He'd probably just getting up by now, just.
- 6:18Speaker 4: Waking up, going why do I have a strange vessel
- 6:20Speaker 4: and substance around my ass.
- 6:23Speaker 7: And putting on these dice and glasses.
- 6:27Speaker 4: Just walking around with it, just walking down the beach
- 6:29Speaker 4: with like a bright colored speedo at his dice in Sonny's.
- 6:33Speaker 1: Hey, ladies, boys, let's give him a call. Should we
- 6:40Speaker 1: give him a call?
- 6:42Speaker 6: I don't mind.
- 6:43Speaker 1: Let's give him a call. See what he's up to.
- 6:46Speaker 3: Trevor is answering an endless number of emails you call
- 6:51Speaker 3: you're looking for voice message. Sadly they didn't have message.
- 6:56Speaker 3: After the time. When you have finished.
- 6:58Speaker 8: Recording, you may hang up one more options.
- 7:03Speaker 9: Hello, Twevor, is me Candy Cane from the store last night?
- 7:09Speaker 1: I see you, cookie boy. Listen, I'm wait wait wait,
- 7:13Speaker 1: I'm calling from work. Hang on.
- 7:16Speaker 9: Okay, mister, okay, you like Okay, Trevor, you need to
- 7:26Speaker 9: come back to this store.
- 7:28Speaker 1: You left your some sort of a Dison head mask here.
- 7:32Speaker 1: It was your little king. I don't get you, but
- 7:34Speaker 1: you're so cute. I like you. Okay, I love you
- 7:38Speaker 1: long time. Anything you want to h Sorry, Trevin Advanced,
- 7:44Speaker 1: shut up? I love you? Bye bye.
- 7:52Speaker 7: Have you any famous people in your phone? H?
- 7:56Speaker 1: Like other people I can call?
- 7:58Speaker 7: Yeah, but aren't they?
- 7:59Speaker 1: Okay? You wish Engineer of the Year. Let's see, I've
- 8:06Speaker 1: got probably won't call him. You know who I've got, Actually,
- 8:11Speaker 1: you know who I've got.
- 8:11Speaker 7: I've got.
- 8:13Speaker 1: Jonesy.
- 8:14Speaker 4: You know Jonesy from Jonesy and Amanda. Yeah, I could
- 8:16Speaker 4: give Jonesy a call. Yeah, go Jonesy from Jonesy and
- 8:19Speaker 4: a man facetiming. Yeah, all right, So we've got to
- 8:22Speaker 4: log into this hang on one sad.
- 8:25Speaker 3: Hey, how does my microphone.
- 8:27Speaker 4: Sound sounding gorgeous? It's like you've been doing this for
- 8:31Speaker 4: twenty five something years?
- 8:33Speaker 8: Thirty years, thirty three years? And that's Paul there mate.
- 8:37Speaker 1: How are you thirty three years? Isn't that your age? Gordy?
- 8:40Speaker 1: That's right, I'm thirty three. How did you think I was?
- 8:45Speaker 3: I think you were thirty three?
- 8:47Speaker 1: What do you think.
- 8:50Speaker 3: Thirty five?
- 8:52Speaker 4: I'm still a young boy with a handful of ideas
- 8:55Speaker 4: and a pocket full of dreams.
- 8:56Speaker 1: Thank you very much.
- 8:57Speaker 8: Hey, Gordy, I just, you know, thirty threts funny because
- 9:00Speaker 8: I'm fifty five now. I just I don't feel fifty five.
- 9:06Speaker 8: I don't feel you know, I just you think. And
- 9:10Speaker 8: my eldest son is coming up thirty one, so I'm like, whoa,
- 9:14Speaker 8: that's nuts.
- 9:14Speaker 1: Yeah, but you're an active guy. You go surfing, motorbike riding.
- 9:18Speaker 3: You're well, it keeps me honest, keeps me off the streets.
- 9:22Speaker 1: That's right.
- 9:23Speaker 3: Bikes are good. That's the thing. I think. That's that
- 9:25Speaker 3: that that keeps me sane.
- 9:28Speaker 4: We were talking and the reason why I wanted to
- 9:30Speaker 4: get you on because we were talking in the car
- 9:32Speaker 4: park every time, No shit, every time Jonesy rolls up
- 9:36Speaker 4: to work, right, he's on a different bike. And I'm
- 9:39Speaker 4: not just talking like a rotation of one to two.
- 9:42Speaker 4: I'm talking like every day of the month, like he's
- 9:45Speaker 4: just rolling up in like some sort of Harley fat Boy.
- 9:48Speaker 4: The next it's someone and I don't know bikes, right,
- 9:51Speaker 4: but like sometimes it's like a I don't know, like
- 9:53Speaker 4: a cafe racer looking thing.
- 9:55Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 9:55Speaker 4: But yeah, he's he's got quite the collection. Did you
- 9:59Speaker 4: when were you allway into bikes or are you cars first?
- 10:01Speaker 1: Or where did it start?
- 10:03Speaker 7: No?
- 10:03Speaker 3: I was always in the bikes.
- 10:04Speaker 8: I got run over by one when I was five
- 10:09Speaker 8: in a back laying in Melbourne.
- 10:11Speaker 1: So did Paul. Actually, and that just that's why he's
- 10:13Speaker 1: a bit slightly.
- 10:14Speaker 3: Really, that makes sense. We're in common Paul.
- 10:20Speaker 7: Yes, exactly. Yeah, No, it could be worse. You could
- 10:23Speaker 7: look like Gordy.
- 10:25Speaker 3: Well it looks great at thirty three, look at it.
- 10:27Speaker 1: Look I look good.
- 10:28Speaker 4: I might start a TikTok account and rolling a tape course.
- 10:31Speaker 4: It's just the world is in front of me at
- 10:33Speaker 4: my age.
- 10:33Speaker 3: Well, you could still be on a kenty to it mate,
- 10:35Speaker 3: you've got to thirty six.
- 10:37Speaker 1: Is that right.
- 10:38Speaker 3: It's the cut off.
- 10:39Speaker 1: Okay, hang on.
- 10:40Speaker 8: You know it's sad if you're eighteen into thirty five
- 10:44Speaker 8: and if you're at the top end and you're on
- 10:45Speaker 8: a ntique tour and you're the thirty five year old guy.
- 10:48Speaker 3: No, let's go down.
- 10:50Speaker 1: Yeah, not my books. Well take whatever I can get.
- 10:55Speaker 7: I want to get the rest of this motorbike.
- 10:56Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, yeah, of course, yes, yes.
- 10:58Speaker 8: I run over by a lady on a BMW in
- 11:01Speaker 8: a back alley and Idlebert was kicking the footy around
- 11:05Speaker 8: out on the street and I just ran out into
- 11:08Speaker 8: the middle of the road and this woman was riding
- 11:11Speaker 8: a BMW up the road. My father watched it, you know,
- 11:14Speaker 8: like he saw it happen, and my brother reckons that
- 11:16Speaker 8: he put his cigarette down on the on the fence
- 11:20Speaker 8: and walked out. The lady broke her legs, so she
- 11:23Speaker 8: was in agony and I was on the on the ground,
- 11:26Speaker 8: and I do have this flashback of the rear wheel
- 11:29Speaker 8: of the bike just spinning around and Dad hitting the
- 11:33Speaker 8: kill switch on the bike and just putting my hand
- 11:36Speaker 8: in my hair and feeling it felt like I.
- 11:38Speaker 3: Had chocolate topping all my hair, but it was all blood.
- 11:40Speaker 6: Oh, she's head open.
- 11:42Speaker 8: And then I just remember sort of like ambulance hospital
- 11:45Speaker 8: and you know, getting stitches and all that stuff.
- 11:49Speaker 7: So wow, it is incredible. So who was I'm just
- 11:54Speaker 7: curious about who was at fault? How did it all?
- 11:56Speaker 8: Well, definitely me. She wasn't going fast. She was probably
- 11:59Speaker 8: going a bit fast for the lay. It was a
- 12:00Speaker 8: little back sort of almost like a duney lane in Heidelberg.
- 12:04Speaker 8: And so she's probably doing Dad Rickinson like you know,
- 12:08Speaker 8: I say, I tell him about it was about eighty
- 12:10Speaker 8: k's but I was doing about twenty and you just
- 12:13Speaker 8: ran straight. But I literally ran straight, he said, in hindsight,
- 12:18Speaker 8: I just ran straight in front of it. Was like
- 12:21Speaker 8: everyone else saw her coming up the road, but me, So.
- 12:25Speaker 1: Wow, how old were you?
- 12:26Speaker 3: Just say you were five, probably between four and five.
- 12:29Speaker 3: And I remember, like dad not being overly emotional about it.
- 12:32Speaker 8: Now there'd be a Facebook group and there'd be a
- 12:34Speaker 8: tattoo and they'd be a whole bunch of sort of
- 12:37Speaker 8: like ah that it'll be all right, run over, I'm dead.
- 12:43Speaker 1: Wowee.
- 12:44Speaker 4: And so so weirdly that started off I guess as
- 12:48Speaker 4: a love affair of biokes.
- 12:49Speaker 8: I think, yeah, maybe it's like oblex and asterix and
- 12:52Speaker 8: obles being dropped into the potion.
- 12:54Speaker 3: Maybe. But I was very accident prone as a kid.
- 12:57Speaker 8: I had a lot of That wasn't the first time, sadly,
- 12:59Speaker 8: I got hit by something. I would go on to
- 13:02Speaker 8: get hit by three more cops before I was fourteen.
- 13:06Speaker 8: So and the last one was a hit and run
- 13:09Speaker 8: and I was on the pushbike and I just remember
- 13:11Speaker 8: the guy hitting me and I was in the middle
- 13:14Speaker 8: of the road and he just and he was in
- 13:16Speaker 8: this old HT holding and he said, you were right, mate,
- 13:19Speaker 8: Yeah I think so, and.
- 13:21Speaker 3: He just bug it off. And my brother goes Jesus
- 13:23Speaker 3: and we got it and he said, don't I'm going
- 13:25Speaker 3: don't tell mom, don't tell mom. And then I got concussions.
- 13:28Speaker 8: I was trying up everywhere and my face swall sawed
- 13:31Speaker 8: up like a balloon.
- 13:32Speaker 3: So their mom came up and she went, what the
- 13:34Speaker 3: hell has happened to you? And I said what? My
- 13:38Speaker 3: face was just like a melon.
- 13:40Speaker 8: And so up to the hospital they had to stitch
- 13:42Speaker 8: me here back on I still at the scar there.
- 13:44Speaker 8: And it was because one of those things adrenaline when
- 13:47Speaker 8: you have an accident.
- 13:48Speaker 3: I've had a light is how much you can before
- 13:52Speaker 3: the pain kicks in.
- 13:54Speaker 7: I find it incredible because if you fast forward to
- 13:57Speaker 7: today and all that stuff happened, you would have appeals
- 13:59Speaker 7: for Cam, the guy would go on trial. It would
- 14:02Speaker 7: just be it'd be a completely different story.
- 14:05Speaker 4: Oh my god, imagine, and there'd be Facebook groups. I
- 14:08Speaker 4: had gunshots too.
- 14:13Speaker 1: True.
- 14:13Speaker 7: So tell me today my wife won't let me ride
- 14:16Speaker 7: a motorcycle. Is it today riding a motorcycle?
- 14:20Speaker 1: How is it.
- 14:21Speaker 7: Different to ten, fifteen, twenty years ago? Because you look
- 14:23Speaker 7: at so many distracted drivers out on the road. Is
- 14:26Speaker 7: today just not worth taking up motorcycle riding?
- 14:31Speaker 3: Look, you know what, it's weird. I think it's got better.
- 14:33Speaker 8: I think in the eighties that were the bad old
- 14:35Speaker 8: days where people didn't there's a real hostility towards motorcycles
- 14:39Speaker 8: in Australia.
- 14:40Speaker 3: There's a real they've been demonized out of the years.
- 14:42Speaker 8: And I actually did a show called Temporary Australians we
- 14:46Speaker 8: called it that was about motorbikes. But there is a
- 14:49Speaker 8: real demonization of motorcycles and I don't know.
- 14:52Speaker 3: Why that is. You got to other countries in the world,
- 14:54Speaker 3: people love them.
- 14:55Speaker 8: Americans love motorcycles and British love motorsucks, but here there's.
- 14:59Speaker 3: This real hostility.
- 15:01Speaker 8: And I remember once I did a I was doing
- 15:03Speaker 8: this thing for the Highway Patrol, a bit of a
- 15:05Speaker 8: talk for the Highway patrol coppers, and it was just
- 15:09Speaker 8: when lane filtering had been made legal and I was
- 15:12Speaker 8: a little bit, not that I was a big part
- 15:14Speaker 8: of it, but I was one of the advisors on
- 15:16Speaker 8: it with the Motorcycle Council, and this high Light drug copper.
- 15:21Speaker 3: Every time he had another.
- 15:22Speaker 8: Beer, he go, it's just stupid on Kildren should be banned.
- 15:26Speaker 8: And I said, no, mate, the bike filters through. It
- 15:29Speaker 8: actually is safer. Motorbikes aren't like cars. And then he
- 15:33Speaker 8: went on and I said, mate, you know what, you
- 15:35Speaker 8: just don't like motorbikes and he.
- 15:36Speaker 3: Goes, I hate them. I said, you have a mate
- 15:40Speaker 3: that died. He no, I just hate them. I hate them.
- 15:42Speaker 8: They look dangerous and that's the thing they do. And
- 15:45Speaker 8: you look at it if you embedded a motorbike.
- 15:47Speaker 3: Now, so he.
- 15:48Speaker 8: Said, oh, got this thing. It can do three hundred
- 15:51Speaker 8: k's per hour. Can't stand up by itself. You've got
- 15:54Speaker 8: to put a stand and the only thing you have
- 15:56Speaker 8: to wear is an approved helmet.
- 15:58Speaker 3: Do you think you could approve that? Yeah, no worries,
- 16:01Speaker 3: there's your approval.
- 16:02Speaker 8: There's no way I would approve a motorcycle if it
- 16:04Speaker 8: was up to the powers that be.
- 16:06Speaker 7: Now, it is so funny you mentioned that because even
- 16:09Speaker 7: in some parts of the States, well, we were went
- 16:12Speaker 7: I think Iowa for my sister in law's wedding and
- 16:16Speaker 7: they would be riding around without helmets because I don't
- 16:19Speaker 7: have to ride around with a helmet.
- 16:20Speaker 1: Because I don't want it, because mirror got a.
- 16:22Speaker 7: Gun and stuff. But it's like, it is funny. And
- 16:25Speaker 7: we actually interviewed the head of safety a Volvo just
- 16:28Speaker 7: recently and he said the same thing, but about cars.
- 16:30Speaker 7: He said, if you were to approach the European Union
- 16:33Speaker 7: and say, okay, we want to invent this thing that
- 16:35Speaker 7: can transport your family that is going to kill thirty
- 16:38Speaker 7: thousand Europeans each year, no one would ever accept it.
- 16:42Speaker 7: And it's the same thing with motorbikes. You think about
- 16:44Speaker 7: it today, if you just invented this, you'd all go,
- 16:46Speaker 7: this is the dumbest idea in the world.
- 16:48Speaker 1: But it's bloody fun.
- 16:50Speaker 7: It's fun, and this is how we get out of
- 16:51Speaker 7: the thrills.
- 16:52Speaker 1: This is a weird one.
- 16:53Speaker 4: Do you find it more risky to say, riding a
- 16:57Speaker 4: bike on Sydney Roads or melbournee or is there's no comparison.
- 17:01Speaker 3: I think Melbourne. Melbournians are very attuned to motorbikes.
- 17:06Speaker 8: The police down there are pretty they're pretty what's the word,
- 17:11Speaker 8: over zealous with motorbikes that like, I remember I rode
- 17:14Speaker 8: Mahaley on the flames on the tank and the ap hangings.
- 17:19Speaker 3: I rode that from Sydney to Melbourne.
- 17:21Speaker 8: I was going down there just to hang out and
- 17:23Speaker 8: I got pulled over about five times once across the
- 17:26Speaker 8: Victorian border and just and bullshit stuff. Those indicators tell
- 17:30Speaker 8: me about those mane, I said, And like, and you've
- 17:33Speaker 8: seen the bike, you know, it's it's.
- 17:37Speaker 4: Like it's like it's an easy rider looking bike. Like
- 17:41Speaker 4: it's literally Jack Nicholson.
- 17:44Speaker 3: It's probably a bit more comfortable than his. But and
- 17:48Speaker 3: that's not saying because it's not really comfortable.
- 17:51Speaker 8: But so I find that New South Wales coppers are
- 17:54Speaker 8: good with motorbikes. Like, but in Melbourne you can park
- 17:58Speaker 8: your motorbike anywhere. In Sydney you can't pick your motorbike.
- 18:02Speaker 8: So it's it's and Brisbane. Brisbane's a whole different kettle
- 18:06Speaker 8: of fish. It's almost like in Brisbane they've just discovered
- 18:09Speaker 8: a motorcycle.
- 18:10Speaker 3: What's this thing? What's this part?
- 18:12Speaker 8: You know, when I've lived up there, I found I
- 18:14Speaker 8: just get cut off every day. Like in Sydney. Now
- 18:17Speaker 8: there's probably more. You don't have as many close call
- 18:22Speaker 8: like there is a close call. You know, you'd have
- 18:24Speaker 8: one I reckon every three days. There'd be one where
- 18:28Speaker 8: you think, oh, but you usually see it coming.
- 18:32Speaker 1: You know, I believe it or not.
- 18:34Speaker 4: Once upon a time, I used to ride a lot
- 18:35Speaker 4: of I used to do a lot of mountain bike riding, right, yeah,
- 18:38Speaker 4: I know.
- 18:39Speaker 1: And you know I.
- 18:40Speaker 4: Found that there was a time where I was gonna
- 18:43Speaker 4: pick it back up here in Sydney.
- 18:45Speaker 1: I'm like, I've got some kgs to lose.
- 18:46Speaker 4: But honestly, I just did not feel like Sydney roads
- 18:50Speaker 4: just don't feel like the sort of road you can ride,
- 18:52Speaker 4: say a pushpike on like it's it's Jesus. There's there's
- 18:55Speaker 4: doesn't seem to be lanes and stuff for it.
- 18:57Speaker 7: But there's not many places in Australia with that works.
- 19:00Speaker 7: And look I don't cycle either because that involves exercising,
- 19:04Speaker 7: which I'm allergic to.
- 19:05Speaker 4: But I love that wa're talking about cycling as we've
- 19:09Speaker 4: got three pieces here.
- 19:11Speaker 7: But yeah, Australia just isn't especially when you compare it
- 19:14Speaker 7: to Europe. Australia just doesn't set up for cyclists and
- 19:16Speaker 7: I think that is where you get the biggest issue here.
- 19:19Speaker 7: You get cyclists who are doing what they're legally allowed
- 19:21Speaker 7: to do, drivers who are doing what they're legally allowed
- 19:24Speaker 7: to do. They clash. You then throw motorcycles into the
- 19:27Speaker 7: mix and it is just an environment that doesn't work
- 19:29Speaker 7: in Australia and it urgently needs some attention. Well I'm
- 19:34Speaker 7: wondering as well, the weather's where you don't want to
- 19:36Speaker 7: be riding your motorbike. What does you go to a
- 19:38Speaker 7: choice when it comes to cars and that type of transportation.
- 19:43Speaker 3: Well, I always I ride in the rain. I actually ride,
- 19:45Speaker 3: he does. I don't drive the car.
- 19:48Speaker 8: I've got a Toda Land Cruise or a ninety four
- 19:51Speaker 8: series eighty series which I bought from.
- 19:54Speaker 3: Triple M when I was working this. It's the old
- 19:56Speaker 3: Triple M Black Thunder, Yes, and I that I really do.
- 20:01Speaker 3: But you know, you.
- 20:02Speaker 8: Can't tell a boat behind a motorcycle, so it's it's
- 20:05Speaker 8: very handy, but I'll probably drive that once.
- 20:07Speaker 3: I reckon once a week. Sometimes on the weekend.
- 20:10Speaker 8: I don't ride because I figure like the odds are
- 20:12Speaker 8: stacked against me greatly. I ride every day in rain
- 20:15Speaker 8: and all weather, and so I think on the weekend
- 20:18Speaker 8: sometimes I think I'm just going to drive the car,
- 20:20Speaker 8: you know, down to the shops or something. But yeah,
- 20:23Speaker 8: I just I can't drive a car and Sitney and
- 20:27Speaker 8: I can't explain it.
- 20:28Speaker 3: If I don't ride a motorbike, I actually go a bit.
- 20:30Speaker 3: I go a bit crazy.
- 20:32Speaker 8: And Keanu Reeves is the thing about He's it's the
- 20:34Speaker 8: latest thing him talking about motorbikes.
- 20:37Speaker 3: And I just totally get it.
- 20:38Speaker 8: I totally get what he's saying, you know, it was
- 20:42Speaker 8: what he's It's just it's right.
- 20:44Speaker 3: I find it. I don't ride, I don't have a
- 20:46Speaker 3: good day.
- 20:47Speaker 4: Is it some sort of an outlet that you know
- 20:49Speaker 4: when you're on a bike, you really it brings something
- 20:52Speaker 4: out of you.
- 20:53Speaker 8: Yeah, I think it's for me. It's like you never
- 20:56Speaker 8: feel so alive when you're so close to death. And
- 20:59Speaker 8: the thing is it just it's every meter matters. And
- 21:03Speaker 8: I say this to people that take up motorcycling. Every
- 21:05Speaker 8: meter matters, every meeting you travel, you have to be
- 21:08Speaker 8: with it. There's not a moment where you can suddenly
- 21:10Speaker 8: just switch off. It's not when you come into a roundabout.
- 21:13Speaker 8: You just got to think, what's this guy going to do?
- 21:15Speaker 8: This cab driver's I can see him in his mirror.
- 21:18Speaker 8: He's digging around, he's going to.
- 21:19Speaker 3: Do a YouTube. I can feel it, you know.
- 21:22Speaker 8: It's it's that And I find that it's almost like
- 21:25Speaker 8: playing chess. And I do actually like riding in Sydney
- 21:28Speaker 8: traffic because you can lane filter, so you get through
- 21:32Speaker 8: the traffic.
- 21:32Speaker 3: Ten times quicker than a car and it's kind of
- 21:35Speaker 3: fun in a way. It's like playing chess. You know,
- 21:38Speaker 3: chess can kill you.
- 21:39Speaker 4: You were born, you were born in an era which
- 21:42Speaker 4: I wish I was born in, or you used to
- 21:43Speaker 4: of grew up in the seventies, which I think is
- 21:46Speaker 4: the best, one of the best eras in Australia's history.
- 21:49Speaker 1: So much went down. What about cars?
- 21:51Speaker 4: Is there is there an era of cars that you
- 21:54Speaker 4: kind of go, yeah, that's cool.
- 21:56Speaker 8: Look when I saw Mad Max and I saw Max's
- 21:59Speaker 8: black Falcon the x x B two door.
- 22:03Speaker 3: I just was like that and that that is my car.
- 22:06Speaker 3: Like if I.
- 22:06Speaker 8: Could, if I was to give up bikes, i'd get
- 22:09Speaker 8: one of those.
- 22:10Speaker 3: But that that was amazing the price of them.
- 22:12Speaker 8: Now know how much they've gone up, And I almost
- 22:15Speaker 8: got I almost bought one. When I started doing working
- 22:18Speaker 8: at w S, I thought I should get a rain
- 22:21Speaker 8: car in case it rains his car deal and some
- 22:24Speaker 8: and he had this old two door hard top sitting
- 22:27Speaker 8: out the front for five grand.
- 22:30Speaker 3: But it was like it was a ship box. It
- 22:32Speaker 3: was all rasped and.
- 22:34Speaker 8: He has made this, and I was thinking, I don't
- 22:36Speaker 8: think it's the ideal rain car my body.
- 22:39Speaker 1: You'd be Fred flintstoning it down the highway.
- 22:42Speaker 8: And it had a it had the three. Now, what's
- 22:45Speaker 8: what's the small like three?
- 22:47Speaker 3: One two? It's a three or two the smaller three? Yep.
- 22:52Speaker 8: So I had that and I started it up and
- 22:54Speaker 8: it was like it was it was the windsor made
- 22:57Speaker 8: and it was there was something wrong with it. It
- 22:58Speaker 8: was sounded noticed that it five grand and I said, mate,
- 23:02Speaker 8: would you take three?
- 23:04Speaker 3: And he said no, no, mate, these these things will
- 23:06Speaker 3: be worth a fortune. And he's right probably worth about now.
- 23:09Speaker 7: So that's the same thing happened in the motorbike world.
- 23:12Speaker 7: Have prices for bikes gone up over covid?
- 23:15Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 23:15Speaker 8: Look, I've got an old GSXR seven fifty Suzuki, which
- 23:19Speaker 8: I bought from a mate, probably back in two thousand
- 23:22Speaker 8: and nine. And when I was a kid, my first
- 23:25Speaker 8: big road bike was a JES seven fifty and it's
- 23:28Speaker 8: a it looked like a like it's an old It
- 23:31Speaker 8: looked like a Z nine hundred Karwasaki, that old school unfaired.
- 23:34Speaker 3: Bike with the big chrome pipes and all that sort
- 23:37Speaker 3: of stuff. Touch English.
- 23:39Speaker 8: Then the GSSR seven fifty came along and they called
- 23:42Speaker 8: it the slab Side and these things are pretty much
- 23:44Speaker 8: a race bike with blinkers, and I remember looking at
- 23:46Speaker 8: it going that's that thing's off the hook.
- 23:48Speaker 3: It's from the future. So a few years ago Made
- 23:51Speaker 3: of Mind had a bike shop.
- 23:52Speaker 8: He edited in the window and he wanted five grand
- 23:54Speaker 8: for it, and I was going to game, but you're
- 23:56Speaker 8: going to sell that gsx out and he said, mate, yeah,
- 23:59Speaker 8: five grand. Then one day after he had it there
- 24:01Speaker 8: for about two or three years, and I said, well
- 24:03Speaker 8: as that ges X arega, I go big mouth, what
- 24:06Speaker 8: will you give me for I said, I'll give your
- 24:07Speaker 8: two grand cash right now, and he said done, just
- 24:09Speaker 8: take it.
- 24:11Speaker 3: That was like in two thousand and nine and I
- 24:13Speaker 3: had another mate who deals.
- 24:16Speaker 8: He paints motor's bikes and restores them. He only just
- 24:19Speaker 8: passed away to rest them, which is that. So he
- 24:21Speaker 8: decided he said, I'll paint it for you.
- 24:23Speaker 3: I'll just paint it. And he never charged me for it.
- 24:25Speaker 3: She said, I'm just going to paint it for you.
- 24:27Speaker 8: And so it's in my garage and I did write
- 24:31Speaker 8: it to work a couple of times, the historical plates.
- 24:34Speaker 8: But I'm just ried if anything happens to it in
- 24:36Speaker 8: the morning, breaks down, I can't just leave it on
- 24:38Speaker 8: the side of the road.
- 24:40Speaker 3: So it's that thing now.
- 24:42Speaker 8: But they recon it's worth about ten grand, so like
- 24:45Speaker 8: really it's you know, but you wouldn't sell I wouldn't
- 24:49Speaker 8: sell it for ten though, he says, sort of bike.
- 24:52Speaker 3: I like looking at it.
- 24:53Speaker 8: I got on them a shed, I started up, I
- 24:55Speaker 8: go for a run and it really is quite an
- 24:57Speaker 8: amazing bike to ride, Like I've got a high buster
- 25:00Speaker 8: as well, and that thing you get on that after
- 25:02Speaker 8: riding that, you go, well.
- 25:04Speaker 3: You know, it's a different kind of fish. But the
- 25:07Speaker 3: jesss are you sit in the bike like the tanks here.
- 25:10Speaker 8: The fairings there, You're just sitting in the bike and
- 25:14Speaker 8: you ride it and you can feel This thing is
- 25:15Speaker 8: from nineteen eighty five, but it still goes fantastic so quick.
- 25:21Speaker 7: That is awesome.
- 25:22Speaker 1: Would you what movie car would you have? Because he
- 25:24Speaker 1: was talking about his Man Max.
- 25:26Speaker 7: Car Deloorian out of Back to the Future.
- 25:28Speaker 1: Any really does a Batman car count?
- 25:33Speaker 8: Yeah?
- 25:33Speaker 1: No, probably not.
- 25:34Speaker 3: You guys are gone the worst cars in the world.
- 25:37Speaker 3: Too big a ship boxes in the that's the Laurean.
- 25:41Speaker 7: Yeah it is. It is a turd box. In fact,
- 25:43Speaker 7: that that docco on John Delorian and now that all
- 25:46Speaker 7: went down and how he tried to sell drugs to
- 25:48Speaker 7: to the to the FBI to fund the company and
- 25:52Speaker 7: ended up going to jail and it all went busted.
- 25:54Speaker 7: Just the story behind it is just amazing.
- 25:56Speaker 1: Didn't they make a feature film around that as well?
- 25:58Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 25:58Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, wow.
- 26:02Speaker 4: My choice in cars would be like movie cars would
- 26:05Speaker 4: be odd, like just really it could just be like
- 26:08Speaker 4: it could be an HQ bloody Jack Thompson drove in
- 26:11Speaker 4: some footy coaching movie like.
- 26:14Speaker 1: The club or something like. That's my movie car.
- 26:16Speaker 4: You know, Mick molloy in Crackerjack had a two sixties
- 26:20Speaker 4: Z Datson, and I ended up buying one because of
- 26:23Speaker 4: because I love that car.
- 26:26Speaker 1: I love that movie. I love that car, And sure
- 26:29Speaker 1: enough I used to.
- 26:29Speaker 4: I used to drink down at that Bowls Club where
- 26:33Speaker 4: that movie was filmed, and literally it was a pack.
- 26:35Speaker 1: Of Winnie Blues on the on the.
- 26:38Speaker 4: Friggin dashboard, and I just thought I was the tits
- 26:41Speaker 4: rolling up to a bowls club with a two sixties
- 26:43Speaker 4: Z and a pack of Winnie Blues. But those old
- 26:46Speaker 4: boys would drink at like eight o'clock in the morning.
- 26:47Speaker 1: That would be wild.
- 26:50Speaker 8: Those Dadson's were great, real wheel drive, you know, the
- 26:54Speaker 8: like maybe a Datson sixteen hundred and I thing was
- 26:57Speaker 8: just off the hook, you know.
- 26:58Speaker 3: True.
- 26:59Speaker 8: I had It's when sus and all that sort of stuff,
- 27:02Speaker 8: but it were just it was just nuts.
- 27:04Speaker 4: It's great cars to modify, too easy to mind. What
- 27:08Speaker 4: about bikes? Are they relatively easy to work on? A
- 27:11Speaker 4: lot of people work on them themselves, right, Yeah.
- 27:14Speaker 3: I do a lot of work online.
- 27:15Speaker 8: My Harley's I don't touch because I got a kind
- 27:18Speaker 8: of a deal with phrases. I do stuff for them
- 27:21Speaker 8: and they just work on my bikes, and Harley's are
- 27:24Speaker 8: quite easy to work on. The jack bikes are harder
- 27:26Speaker 8: to work on the high bust, so I did the
- 27:28Speaker 8: valve clearances on that.
- 27:30Speaker 3: And the hardest part about.
- 27:31Speaker 8: It is just get into you just taking the top
- 27:36Speaker 8: rocker box off the rocker cover, you'd get that off
- 27:38Speaker 8: after you're taking the tank and all the other junk
- 27:41Speaker 8: aut So it's like this. You just throw on parts
- 27:43Speaker 8: everywhere and then when you get to the rocker cover
- 27:46Speaker 8: you get it out all right, but getting it back
- 27:48Speaker 8: in it's like this Rubi's q.
- 27:50Speaker 3: You got to you can't put it in this way,
- 27:51Speaker 3: it's got to go. It's nuts.
- 27:53Speaker 8: And you look at like the GSXR for example, that
- 27:56Speaker 8: when they built the bike, they put the frame and
- 27:58Speaker 8: then they put the air field in, and then they
- 28:00Speaker 8: put the motor and the Carby's after that. So to
- 28:04Speaker 8: get the air box out you pretty much have to
- 28:05Speaker 8: pull the whole engine and the Carby's out.
- 28:08Speaker 3: So to do the carbis so.
- 28:09Speaker 8: The worst job in the world because you've got to
- 28:11Speaker 8: to get brown the rubber. You've got to have these
- 28:13Speaker 8: little Japanese hands and even then.
- 28:17Speaker 1: So I just left that.
- 28:18Speaker 3: I just let it run. Rich. I just like, oh, well,
- 28:20Speaker 3: you know that's that's what helped me.
- 28:23Speaker 4: Next time you're next time, Like, oh, I was going
- 28:26Speaker 4: to say, next time you're in, I'll see it tomorrow.
- 28:28Speaker 4: But I was going to say, I really want to
- 28:30Speaker 4: see this this land cruiser. I have a thing for,
- 28:33Speaker 4: especially old radio promo cars. It's the radio nerdy me
- 28:37Speaker 4: And the fact that you have one of those is
- 28:39Speaker 4: what's the weirdest sort of promo car that you reckon?
- 28:42Speaker 4: You've you've seen or you've had in the in the game.
- 28:45Speaker 3: Oh man, I reckon Triple Am we did with Club Vegs.
- 28:49Speaker 3: They did that. They did up a h Z panel.
- 28:52Speaker 8: Van your way to a listener and it was so
- 28:56Speaker 8: good and I loved it, and they ended up it
- 28:59Speaker 8: was a big bet, a piece of shit.
- 29:02Speaker 3: The guy that won it just complained about it all
- 29:04Speaker 3: the time. Theations person said, well, look at his and
- 29:06Speaker 3: old car. You're just going to have to accept it.
- 29:09Speaker 8: But I think in Triple M and Brisbane they had
- 29:12Speaker 8: the big oh that big truck, the big Chevy truck,
- 29:16Speaker 8: the Triple M rock patrol truck.
- 29:18Speaker 3: There was this giant you know, the one of the
- 29:20Speaker 3: silver The.
- 29:21Speaker 8: GMC is the big GMC, big GMC with the big
- 29:26Speaker 8: flared guards at the backside, says wide as a semi trailer.
- 29:29Speaker 3: The thing would overheat at the drop of a hat.
- 29:31Speaker 3: But I remember going to the gold case Ron Prix
- 29:34Speaker 3: and we're just driving around the track, you.
- 29:35Speaker 8: Know, going past, waving out the window, and we're going on.
- 29:38Speaker 3: This person just goes gasts. I've just gone straight to
- 29:41Speaker 3: the floor and it's got.
- 29:45Speaker 8: All this smoke and ship out and it was like
- 29:48Speaker 8: I thought it was going to die, and I thought
- 29:50Speaker 8: we could do a big burnout.
- 29:51Speaker 3: But the whole thing, I thought we were going to
- 29:53Speaker 3: blow up. And that thing was just that was terrible.
- 29:56Speaker 4: The promo cars, yeah, like we had in these radio stations,
- 30:00Speaker 4: fucking amazing. I used to work for this radio station
- 30:03Speaker 4: called k Rock in Geelong, right, and they had a
- 30:06Speaker 4: they had just like a normal sort of four wheel drive,
- 30:09Speaker 4: like the k Rock Thunder or whatever it was.
- 30:11Speaker 1: But then they had a caravan. Right. It would toe
- 30:14Speaker 1: this fucking caravan and it was like the k.
- 30:16Speaker 4: Rock stereo, right, and it was literally a caravan that
- 30:20Speaker 4: had been tacked all had been tacked on to make
- 30:23Speaker 4: it look like a giant stereo and like the top,
- 30:26Speaker 4: like the middle which was the tape deck, would come
- 30:28Speaker 4: down and like it would work as a portable studio and.
- 30:33Speaker 1: The lights would go up and down as hilarious.
- 30:37Speaker 3: Well, the thing was with the triple M lancas I've
- 30:39Speaker 3: got now.
- 30:40Speaker 8: I was at a gray Gun's cafe on the party
- 30:42Speaker 8: Road there and I've looked at this caravan thing and
- 30:45Speaker 8: I've got oh my god, that's the triple M Giant stereo.
- 30:48Speaker 8: And I asked him, the lady that runs a place, so,
- 30:51Speaker 8: I said, is that the triple M Giant stereio? I
- 30:53Speaker 8: was just yeah, I think it is, and I just
- 30:55Speaker 8: looked at it. So I got a picture of it.
- 30:57Speaker 8: So and I got a I'll say it too. I've
- 30:58Speaker 8: got a picture of the land Cruiser with the giant
- 31:01Speaker 8: stereo helped up in its full livery. I've got that
- 31:06Speaker 8: on I won't do it now, but but it's on
- 31:09Speaker 8: the phone. And so I've got that, and I've got
- 31:12Speaker 8: my original land Cruiser now. And the thing is still
- 31:15Speaker 8: that thing's got, you know, because it never went off road.
- 31:18Speaker 8: It never went off on the sand or anything like that,
- 31:19Speaker 8: just drove around the streets of Sydney.
- 31:22Speaker 3: But it's for me.
- 31:23Speaker 8: It's it's still at the old phone inside of the
- 31:26Speaker 8: old Nokia, like the mounted on the dash. It's it's
- 31:30Speaker 8: still at the original Triple M. Joe papers from Bondai Junction.
- 31:34Speaker 8: I've got that inside it.
- 31:36Speaker 1: I must talk to America.
- 31:39Speaker 8: Well, you could see the signage on the front because
- 31:41Speaker 8: it's it's where the paints faded.
- 31:44Speaker 3: You could see whether the old Doctor Dan is. It's
- 31:47Speaker 3: quite it's quite cool.
- 31:48Speaker 1: I love that.
- 31:49Speaker 4: I must talk to Merrick Watts, right, because he had
- 31:51Speaker 4: did you ever hear he did this thing where I
- 31:55Speaker 4: don't know it was for one of his promos. He
- 31:56Speaker 4: must have had a show on Triple M, and he
- 31:58Speaker 4: did a thing called the Carbecue, right, and it was like,
- 32:01Speaker 4: I don't know what it was, if it was an
- 32:02Speaker 4: old falcon you'd or something like that. And then half
- 32:05Speaker 4: of it it could have been Yeah, I'm not sure,
- 32:08Speaker 4: but like half of it was barbecue, and he loved
- 32:10Speaker 4: it that much he ended up buying it, like he
- 32:13Speaker 4: ended up buying it himself.
- 32:14Speaker 1: So it's half car half barbecue.
- 32:16Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 32:17Speaker 8: I remember seeing that because him and rosso had the
- 32:21Speaker 8: two door falcon from two hands, they both owned that.
- 32:26Speaker 3: But they lost that, as they say in the divorce
- 32:28Speaker 3: when they went but yeah, that that didn't be worth
- 32:32Speaker 3: a fortune. That car.
- 32:34Speaker 8: I was the guy's name, the guy forgot the guy,
- 32:37Speaker 8: the actor, the character that played it.
- 32:39Speaker 3: I remember the actor was Dave.
- 32:41Speaker 8: Dave, Dave, you know it does voice has and stuff,
- 32:45Speaker 8: does the oak milk.
- 32:46Speaker 3: Oh?
- 32:46Speaker 1: Yeah, from Two Hands, the hungry thirsty guy.
- 32:49Speaker 3: Yeah, hungry thirsty guy.
- 32:51Speaker 7: I'm going to look it up because it's it's on
- 32:54Speaker 7: the tip of my tongue that I was.
- 32:56Speaker 4: I was watching Two Hands the other day and there's
- 32:58Speaker 4: that great scene where Brian Brown, who's like the head
- 33:02Speaker 4: of this this this mob, he goes chuck chuck him
- 33:05Speaker 4: the keys, would you?
- 33:06Speaker 1: And he oh, I just got the fucking clutch done.
- 33:09Speaker 1: Chuck him my keys?
- 33:10Speaker 4: Oh ship, And yeah, that car is bloody stunning, that.
- 33:16Speaker 8: Is And that's like a two door falcon.
- 33:18Speaker 3: I think it's an X. I think it might have
- 33:19Speaker 3: been an EX.
- 33:20Speaker 8: But I love that bit in that movie where he
- 33:25Speaker 8: Ledge's character comes up to Brian Brown and he says
- 33:29Speaker 8: to handle where his name is? And he says, oh, guys,
- 33:33Speaker 8: I got a bunch of cast here. Do you want
- 33:35Speaker 8: to cast here? And he goes, no, I don't have
- 33:37Speaker 8: a car. Fair enough, fair enough.
- 33:42Speaker 4: Such a great it's such a great, such a great movie.
- 33:45Speaker 4: Brian Brown is brilliant in that, so good in it Field. Ah,
- 33:50Speaker 4: he come they come from that sort of age where
- 33:52Speaker 4: that that sort of Brian Brown, Jack Thompson, that sort
- 33:55Speaker 4: of break them a rant era, which that is my
- 33:57Speaker 4: favorite stuff.
- 33:58Speaker 1: I love that stuff.
- 34:00Speaker 8: Yeah. Yeah, Brian's good and like I kind of know
- 34:02Speaker 8: him now, you know, like we're great mates. But whenever
- 34:05Speaker 8: I see him at a social thing, we always have
- 34:07Speaker 8: a great chat. And I really like him. He's a
- 34:09Speaker 8: really there's no bullshit with him whatsoever. He's not a
- 34:13Speaker 8: movie star or anything, but he has every right to
- 34:18Speaker 8: pull that. He's been in movies like Cocktail with Tom
- 34:21Speaker 8: Cruise and like an American sequel, that FX movie. I
- 34:24Speaker 8: don't know if you guys have sawt out. So he
- 34:26Speaker 8: played this like a movie star, makeup special effects guy
- 34:32Speaker 8: and he gets caught up in broil in this Marfia thing.
- 34:34Speaker 8: It's called FX and there was FX one and FX
- 34:37Speaker 8: two so that Brian Brown and Brian Denney in it,
- 34:41Speaker 8: and it was a great movie.
- 34:43Speaker 4: He's in another movie where he plays like an Australian
- 34:49Speaker 4: kind of like a Richard Branson style character and he
- 34:52Speaker 4: SMI dives off a building. But it's a big, big
- 34:55Speaker 4: feature film, like it's a big.
- 34:58Speaker 3: Novels that I want to say.
- 34:59Speaker 1: It's hum and Ben Still or something.
- 35:01Speaker 4: Anyway, anyway, we are I'm gonna, I'm gonna. I'm going
- 35:05Speaker 4: to try and hit you ride in that land.
- 35:07Speaker 1: Cruiser of yours.
- 35:08Speaker 3: Yeah, I'll bring it in.
- 35:10Speaker 4: Yeah, bring it in and I'll bring it in. Well
- 35:14Speaker 4: we'll turn it into the new Kiss car. That'd be great.
- 35:16Speaker 3: Thanks, kiss the kiss? What are the what is kiss?
- 35:21Speaker 3: We're going to kiss? What is an eye on? Yeah?
- 35:25Speaker 1: They're they're eyelids. Thank you very much.
- 35:27Speaker 3: The great you've got you're a company man. And then
- 35:32Speaker 3: again I'm thinking, I don't know what the w I
- 35:34Speaker 3: don't even know what the w S car is. It's
- 35:36Speaker 3: going to picture and Amanda on the side and the
- 35:38Speaker 3: petrol the petrol hole goes with Amanda's mount.
- 35:43Speaker 1: The way.
- 35:45Speaker 3: I was looking for was killing that out?
- 35:48Speaker 4: All right, mate, Well, listen, thank you for the chart.
- 35:50Speaker 4: Really appreciate it's it honestly means a lot that you
- 35:53Speaker 4: come on. And Jonesy asked, what are.
- 35:55Speaker 1: We going to talk about, and I said, I don't know,
- 35:57Speaker 1: let's just fucking just talk.
- 35:59Speaker 7: I don't even know what we talk about most of
- 36:00Speaker 7: the time.
- 36:01Speaker 4: Paul said, because I was writing some stuff down beforehand.
- 36:05Speaker 4: And Paul goes, oh, jesus, are you planning the show?
- 36:07Speaker 6: What do you do?
- 36:09Speaker 1: I was trying. Yes, I'm trying to be professional.
- 36:12Speaker 4: Thank you for coming on, mate, I really appreciate it.
- 36:16Speaker 1: Cut out the right time. There we go.
- 36:19Speaker 4: That was perfectly timed, perfectly times All right, mate, great
- 36:22Speaker 4: to chat and talk to you soon. Do you want
- 36:24Speaker 4: me to I'll send you the pictures of the thing. Yeah,
- 36:27Speaker 4: I'll send you those pictures. Yeah, we'll put it up
- 36:29Speaker 4: on the socials the pictures.
- 36:30Speaker 7: That'd be awesome.
- 36:31Speaker 3: Thanks. Boys.
- 36:32Speaker 4: Well, so what happens now with your Entrepreneur of the
- 36:36Speaker 4: Year does that What sort of doors is that going.
- 36:39Speaker 1: To open for you? Are you going to walk into
- 36:40Speaker 1: the engineering institute that you are currently giving.
- 36:47Speaker 7: A bad name to enshrined in?
- 36:49Speaker 4: Yeah, well you're giving a very bad name to apparently,
- 36:52Speaker 4: according to your brand experts.
- 36:55Speaker 7: My understanding is I can go up to any building
- 36:58Speaker 7: and demand access rise.
- 37:00Speaker 1: They haven't given you the key to the city.
- 37:01Speaker 7: No, Well, the award is the key to the city.
- 37:03Speaker 7: You put it into any lock and it opens.
- 37:06Speaker 4: You're standing in line at like revolver in Chapel Street
- 37:10Speaker 4: and you just walk, you know.
- 37:12Speaker 1: Entrepreneur of the Year.
- 37:13Speaker 7: Bitch spelt wrong. Get out of the way.
- 37:15Speaker 1: Get out of the way.
- 37:15Speaker 4: There it's some man with face tattoos and dreadlocks as
- 37:19Speaker 4: Esus Christ.
- 37:20Speaker 1: It's the Engineer of the Year. Entrepreneur of the Year.
- 37:23Speaker 1: Fuck Donna, he's ready for you. Hey, we should read
- 37:28Speaker 1: some feedback.
- 37:29Speaker 7: Yes, oh, we actually got one today, do we one?
- 37:33Speaker 1: We have a listener.
- 37:34Speaker 7: I'm going to read it out.
- 37:35Speaker 6: Come on.
- 37:36Speaker 7: So this is from Irena Lloyd.
- 37:39Speaker 1: She said, review this.
- 37:40Speaker 7: Guys, and when you click on it, it is a
- 37:43Speaker 7: car from my home home country. It is called the
- 37:49Speaker 7: You Go You Go. And the joke, Yeah, the joke
- 37:55Speaker 7: was that you would buy a bicycle from a store
- 37:59Speaker 7: and get a free you Go. That's how ship they were.
- 38:02Speaker 1: Look at the ad. Oh my god, look at that
- 38:06Speaker 1: wheel bend. That wheel actually bent.
- 38:10Speaker 3: Anywhere New York City.
- 38:14Speaker 1: Oh yeah, then you go, get in your you Go.
- 38:16Speaker 4: You can go up into the mountains, down the mountains,
- 38:20Speaker 4: upper mountains.
- 38:21Speaker 1: You can blow snow or cocaine, like that boy with
- 38:24Speaker 1: the red beanie horses running with the horse. Fucking there's
- 38:28Speaker 1: boot and horse. Wow, you got more freedom for less money.
- 38:33Speaker 4: Ounds like it sounds like two Croatian men trying to
- 38:36Speaker 4: be polite.
- 38:37Speaker 1: You go, oh no, no, you go, oh you go,
- 38:40Speaker 1: oh no, you go. So the thing with this, I'll
- 38:42Speaker 1: do that for far too long.
- 38:43Speaker 4: By the way, you go, I will open the door
- 38:45Speaker 4: for Pable when he's walking out.
- 38:47Speaker 1: You go.
- 38:48Speaker 7: The thing with this car is they tried to sell
- 38:50Speaker 7: it in the States, and can you imagine how that went?
- 38:53Speaker 1: There's an I reckon.
- 38:54Speaker 4: There's a Simpsons episode based on this, because he goes
- 38:57Speaker 4: to a He goes to a Homer goes to a car,
- 39:00Speaker 4: and I'm sure it's like, this is the biggest selling
- 39:03Speaker 4: car in Russia.
- 39:05Speaker 9: Come on, don't forget to put it in h.
- 39:11Speaker 4: She'll got three hundred heck there so on a single
- 39:13Speaker 4: tank of kerosene.
- 39:15Speaker 1: What country does this come from? It no longer exists.
- 39:18Speaker 4: But take her for a test drive and you'll agree,
- 39:21Speaker 4: Zagreb put it in h.
- 39:24Speaker 7: I would love to review one of those. They really
- 39:27Speaker 7: are a staple back back home. It is the go
- 39:30Speaker 7: to for just affordable transport. Yugoslavian hard work went into that.
- 39:36Speaker 1: I agree. You know what we should do. Get in
- 39:39Speaker 1: touch with us on socials.
- 39:40Speaker 4: If there's a car, like an absolute crazy ass car
- 39:43Speaker 4: that you want Paul and Idle review. Maybe when we're
- 39:47Speaker 4: in the same city together, right, let's do that. Yeah,
- 39:50Speaker 4: no you go, no, no, no you go. Okay, let's
- 39:53Speaker 4: do that and I reckon, we'll have some fun with Actually.
- 39:56Speaker 7: You are listening to this and you owner, you go
- 39:59Speaker 7: get in touch with the because I would love to
- 40:01Speaker 7: have a little steer. Please you go again.
- 40:05Speaker 4: This is from OLLI get Ollie, Hey, hurry up with
- 40:07Speaker 4: the episodes. When I drive the two hours to see
- 40:10Speaker 4: my girlfriend, I listen to your podcast. Oh this feels weird.
- 40:14Speaker 4: I'm reading this and I'm not making it up. By
- 40:16Speaker 4: the way, it's a legit thing. I listened to your
- 40:18Speaker 4: podcast because Gordy is as funny as fuck. But I'm
- 40:21Speaker 4: sick of listen. But I am sick of listening to
- 40:24Speaker 4: your episodes on repeat. Dead Set have listened to all
- 40:28Speaker 4: your podcasts about five times. Legend whenever Gordy talks about
- 40:33Speaker 4: Donna fucking crack up.
- 40:34Speaker 7: Well, I want to just a slight sidetrack from that,
- 40:38Speaker 7: why does your girlfriend live two hours away?
- 40:40Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 40:41Speaker 1: And why listen to us?
- 40:42Speaker 4: If I was on a two hour drive to see
- 40:44Speaker 4: my missus, I'd rub one out.
- 40:49Speaker 1: You wouldn't do it.
- 40:50Speaker 4: No, This is another one from the DMS pure Ol
- 40:56Speaker 4: humor aside. Great ep today. It flows and sounds a
- 40:59Speaker 4: shit ton better when you drag little Pavlo out of
- 41:02Speaker 4: his engineering dog dungeon and sit him in this studio.
- 41:08Speaker 4: Legit one of the best episodes. Great work, thank you.
- 41:12Speaker 4: If Paul's last comments about that this is from this
- 41:15Speaker 4: is from Goran Gordon drives a you go, yeah.
- 41:18Speaker 1: Yeah you. If Paul's.
- 41:22Speaker 4: Fucking my own jokes backfiring, If Paul's last comments about
- 41:25Speaker 4: Tesla or anything to go by, it's going to be
- 41:28Speaker 4: a bagging now that he's successful and can afford fuel
- 41:33Speaker 4: for his thirsty raptor. Meantime, I'm getting a shitload of
- 41:37Speaker 4: texts from Jonesy.
- 41:39Speaker 1: He's just said series that's cool, okay, yeah, yeah yeah.
- 41:46Speaker 7: Can you believe, just very quickly, can you believe that
- 41:49Speaker 7: they used land cruisers back then? Because if you did
- 41:52Speaker 7: that today, that would be the equivalent of the radio
- 41:55Speaker 7: station spinning like one hundred and fifty grand.
- 41:58Speaker 1: Yeah, on trailer back there. Then that's that's fine. That's fine.
- 42:03Speaker 7: Isn't that fascinating? They probably got it for free as well?
- 42:05Speaker 1: Not are not any more? Man?
- 42:06Speaker 4: Radio was I swear I want someone to and I've
- 42:09Speaker 4: thought about riding on myself. I'd love like a TV
- 42:13Speaker 4: series like about radio. Australian radio in the nineties and
- 42:17Speaker 4: early two thousands was wild shit, like I could tell, like,
- 42:22Speaker 4: you know, what's that Wolf of Wall Street stuff? Throwing
- 42:25Speaker 4: dwarfs all that, right, Like I see some stuff working
- 42:29Speaker 4: with Kyle and Jackie. Oh today I saw they did
- 42:32Speaker 4: a segment which was Pay to Be Gay, and they
- 42:36Speaker 4: had a straight guy come in and a gay guy
- 42:37Speaker 4: come in and it was, hey, two hundred and fifty bucks.
- 42:41Speaker 4: For two hundred and fifty bucks, would you strip off that?
- 42:44Speaker 1: They said, that's the gay guy. Get naked with the gay.
- 42:45Speaker 4: Guy, and so he did, and then for an extra
- 42:50Speaker 4: five hundred bucks, would you hug?
- 42:55Speaker 7: I could sleehere, this is going right, yeah.
- 42:57Speaker 4: And he did for I think it was an extra
- 43:01Speaker 4: five hundred bucks on top of that, So he's up
- 43:03Speaker 4: to like seven fifty for an extra five hundred bucks.
- 43:06Speaker 4: So for twelve fifty kiss. He did not do that, okay,
- 43:10Speaker 4: he tapped out, where does.
- 43:13Speaker 7: I know we're not talking about cars anymore? But who
- 43:16Speaker 7: says that's okay? Like as in when they when a
- 43:19Speaker 7: producer comes up with that idea, who do you go
- 43:21Speaker 7: to when the building and go okay, well that's fine, they.
- 43:24Speaker 4: Go, yeah, it goes through many people, goes through many
- 43:26Speaker 4: a lawyers and very like, we want this shit tomorrow,
- 43:30Speaker 4: explore every avenue and they have to do that avenue.
- 43:35Speaker 1: Before we explore all this there. I'm not even kidding.
- 43:38Speaker 6: There is.
- 43:41Speaker 1: Like big red.
- 43:42Speaker 4: Gloves upstairs that are like the really thick rubber ones,
- 43:46Speaker 4: and so they can hot.
- 43:47Speaker 1: They need to hold the mics. Producers need to hold
- 43:50Speaker 1: mics in nooks and crannies and stuff so you can
- 43:51Speaker 1: get there the audio to air, you know.
- 43:54Speaker 7: Like, oh so when that stuff is recorded, No, no, it's.
- 44:00Speaker 1: Live to air. That's get the best possible sound, like
- 44:03Speaker 1: you want to be able to hear.
- 44:05Speaker 6: Yeah, that's so interesting.
- 44:07Speaker 1: So imagine that's your job. What'd you do today?
- 44:10Speaker 4: I held a microphone up to some guys nutsack cool. Anyway,
- 44:15Speaker 4: thanks thanks for the feedback on the recent stuff.
- 44:17Speaker 3: Merch.
- 44:18Speaker 1: We should send some stuff.
- 44:19Speaker 4: Out yes, definitely, we should definitely send some stuff out.
- 44:22Speaker 4: We could do it in two ways. Yes, we could
- 44:25Speaker 4: do this to the the ogs who have been five
- 44:28Speaker 4: stars nice comments, hitting up our dms every week. Send
- 44:32Speaker 4: them a little something something. Or do we send it
- 44:34Speaker 4: to the haters like that fucking speed guy or whatever,
- 44:38Speaker 4: or Daniel. And by the way, I think I know
- 44:40Speaker 4: who Daniel is. Paul won't let me say who it
- 44:43Speaker 4: is because Paul probably knows him.
- 44:44Speaker 7: But we'll stop right there. I love the concept of
- 44:48Speaker 7: sending stuff to haters, but they won't give us their addresses.
- 44:51Speaker 7: I don't because that'd be pure I don't want Yeah,
- 44:53Speaker 7: that would be.
- 44:53Speaker 6: Pure human Jesus, Dear drivers, Joe, I'd like to make
- 45:03Speaker 6: a complaint. This could go in for far too long.
- 45:07Speaker 6: I'm workshopping it in my head.
- 45:09Speaker 7: I can tell sorry to shut the fuck up.
- 45:15Speaker 6: You're doing no service to your brand. As head of
- 45:20Speaker 6: the Engineer's Committee, I'd like to put in a complaint, Paul, what.
- 45:27Speaker 1: Are you doing with your brand?
- 45:31Speaker 6: Once upon a time you wore those Rivers slacks with pride.
- 45:35Speaker 6: They were given to you when we inducted you in
- 45:38Speaker 6: the Engineering Hall of Fame. Oh what shame you bring
- 45:44Speaker 6: to those suede shoes. And as for that little boy
- 45:48Speaker 6: you work with, he looks familiar. Has he been in pornography?
- 45:54Speaker 6: Me and my friend Ralph used to sit down and
- 45:57Speaker 6: watch used to sit down and watch me for ages
- 46:02Speaker 6: as you were, as you were? What's your brand?
- 46:07Speaker 8: You?
- 46:07Speaker 6: Purial facts?
- 46:11Speaker 7: Oh jesus, anyway, please do get in touch?

- 46:25Speaker 7: our email address? Oh yeah, what did we decide? Send
- 46:28Speaker 7: us an email?
- 46:29Speaker 1: I don't know. Please rate, subscribe, give us five stars.
- 46:33Speaker 1: We don't have many. This is just a sample pack.
- 46:36Speaker 4: We will be getting more from from our good mates
- 46:38Speaker 4: at Machine Plus. But there's a few people that have
- 46:43Speaker 4: hit our dms and they've been on their podcast from
- 46:45Speaker 4: day one, so maybe we'll send them something.
