In Paul’s old social sphere, he had it all: power, influence, and notoriety. He was gifted, diligent, and downright impressive. Yet, after encountering Christ, Paul counted all these gains “as loss for the sake of Christ.” We look to this text to discover what that means, and why it’s worth imitating.
