- 0:01Hello. Welcome to the No God Coach
- 0:03Hollow for January 10, 2026. A
- 0:05two-minute play from God's playbook to
- 0:08know him better so we can love and obey
- 0:10him more. Let's hear today's play from
- 0:13Matthew 10, which says, "Whoever
- 0:15acknowledges me in the presence of
- 0:16others, I will also acknowledge in the
- 0:19presence of my father in heaven. For
- 0:21whoever disowns me before others, I will
- 0:23disown him before my father in heaven."
- 0:26Don't suppose that I have come to bring
- 0:28peace to the land. And is not peace I
- 0:30have come to bring, but a sword. For I
- 0:33have come to set a man against his
- 0:35father, a daughter against her mother,
- 0:38and a daughter-in-law against her
- 0:40mother-in-law, so that a man's enemies
- 0:42will be the members of his own
- 0:43household. Whoever loves his father or
- 0:46mother more than me is not worthy of me.
- 0:50And anyone who loves his son or daughter
- 0:52more than me is not worthy of me. And
- 0:55anyone who does not take up his
- 0:57execution stake and follow me is not
- 1:00worthy of me. Jesus tells us plainly
- 1:03that following him will bring division
- 1:05even into our own home. Not because
- 1:08family is unimportant, but because Jesus
- 1:11must come first. Any love that outranks
- 1:13obed to him is an idol. Even good love
- 1:17like spouse, children or parents. And
- 1:20Adam failed right here. Adam chose Eve
- 1:23over obedience to God. He watched. He
- 1:26stayed silent. He preserved peace
- 1:28instead of leading in truth. That
- 1:30passivity, it didn't protect it. Family,
- 1:33it destroyed it. And Jesus did just the
- 1:36opposite. Jesus shows obedience to the
- 1:38father even when his own family thought
- 1:40he was out of his mind. His own half
- 1:43brothers didn't believe in him. His
- 1:45obedience cost him his reputation, his
- 1:47relationships, and his comfort, and
- 1:49eventually his life. And yet he never
- 1:52compromised God's will to keep the
- 1:54peace.
- 1:55>> Men of God must be like Jesus, not Adam.
- 1:59That means leading our family towards
- 2:01God's word, even when it's
- 2:02uncomfortable. Teaching our children
- 2:04God's truth, disciplining them God's
- 2:07way, insisting on obedience to God while
- 2:10they're under our care and provision.
- 2:12But hear this clearly. Biblical
- 2:14leadership is not coercion, not anger,
- 2:17not domination. God himself is patient,
- 2:21gentle, and kind with us, yet completely
- 2:23uncompromising in his truth. He doesn't
- 2:26strike us with lightning every time we
- 2:28sin, but he also never adjusts his will
- 2:31to fit our preferences. That's the model
- 2:34of leadership we need it on home. A man
- 2:37must bring God's word before his life
- 2:39humbly, inviting obedience, not forcing
- 2:42it to mention. He must lead his children
- 2:44firmly without harshness, anger, or
- 2:46abuse. Leadership is responsibility
- 2:49before God, not control over people.
- 2:53Jesus says anyone who does not take up
- 2:55his execution state and follow him is
- 2:58not worthy of him. That means dying to
- 3:00appro approval, dying to comfort and
- 3:03dying to peace at any cost. And trusting
- 3:06that obedience to Jesus, however costly
- 3:09now, leads to eternal joy later. the one
- 3:13today's play. Ask yourself honestly,
- 3:16where am I choosing peace over
- 3:17obedience? Where am I silent and God
- 3:20calls me to lead? Open the word. Lead
- 3:23with humility. Choose obedience.
- 3:26Jesus is worthy of first place. Lead
- 3:28like he is. If this huddle helps you
- 3:31know God better so that you can love and
- 3:33obey him more, share it with a friend
- 3:35and leave a quick review. It helped
- 3:37other men find their way into the
- 3:39huddle.
