- Lucas: Welcome back to Learn Telugu with Fexingo. I'm Lucas. Luna: And I'm Luna. Episode 130. That feels like a big number. Lucas: It does. And I've got a fun little topic for us today. We're going to a park. Luna: Oh, we've been to the park before. We described birds last time. Lucas: Right, exactly. Last time was all about birds. Today, we're going to look at something else at the park. Trees. Luna: Trees. I love trees. They're so calming. Lucas: Yes. And they're a great way to learn some useful adjectives in Telugu. So, let's start with a basic phrase: the tree is tall. Luna: The tree is tall. Lucas: In Telugu, we say: చెట్టు ఎత్తుగా ఉంది. Let's break it down: చెట్టు means tree, ఎత్తుగా means tall, ఉంది means is. So, చెట్టు ఎత్తుగా ఉంది. Luna: చెట్టు ఎత్తుగా ఉంది. That's a mouthful. చెట్టు ఎత్తుగా ఉంది. Lucas: You said it perfectly. Now, imagine you're at the park, and you see a very tall tree. You can say: చెట్టు ఎత్తుగా ఉంది. Luna: చెట్టు ఎత్తుగా ఉంది. Got it. Lucas: Now, let's learn another one: the tree is green. Green is పచ్చగా. So, చెట్టు పచ్చగా ఉంది. Luna: చెట్టు పచ్చగా ఉంది. Lucas: Great. Now, try this: there's a big tree and a small tree. Big is పెద్దది, small is చిన్నది. So, for a big tree: చెట్టు పెద్దది. For a small tree: చెట్టు చిన్నది. Luna: చెట్టు పెద్దది. చెట్టు చిన్నది. So, we have tall, green, big, small. That's a good set. Lucas: And one more thing: you can combine them. For example, a big green tree: పెద్ద పచ్చని చెట్టు. But let's keep it simple for today. Luna: Yeah, let's stick with the basics. So, if I see a tall tree, I say చెట్టు ఎత్తుగా ఉంది. Lucas: Exactly. And if it's green, చెట్టు పచ్చగా ఉంది. Luna: And if it's big, చెట్టు పెద్దది. Lucas: Perfect. You're picking it up fast. Luna: Thanks. You know, it's funny — I was just thinking, this show has been going for 130 episodes now. That's a lot of Telugu practice. Lucas: It is. And honestly, it's only possible because of listeners who support us. A handful of people chip in monthly through Buy Me a Coffee dot com slash Fexingo, and that literally funds making this many episodes. Luna: Yeah, it's a small group, but it makes a huge difference. No ads, just people who find it useful. Lucas: Right. And we're grateful. Anyway, back to trees. Let's practice a little scene. Luna: Okay, I'm ready. Lucas: Imagine you're at the park with a friend. You point to a tree and say: ఆ చెట్టు చూడు, అది ఎత్తుగా ఉంది. Look at that tree, it is tall. Luna: ఆ చెట్టు చూడు, అది ఎత్తుగా ఉంది. That's good. Lucas: Then your friend says: అవును, అది పచ్చగా ఉంది. Yes, it is green. Luna: అవును, అది పచ్చగా ఉంది. Lucas: And you say: మరియు అది పెద్దది. And it is big. Luna: మరియు అది పెద్దది. Nice. So, we have tall, green, big. What about small? Lucas: Good point. Over there, there's a small tree. You can say: ఆ చెట్టు చిన్నది. That tree is small. Luna: ఆ చెట్టు చిన్నది. Okay, let's go through all four again. చెట్టు ఎత్తుగా ఉంది, చెట్టు పచ్చగా ఉంది, చెట్టు పెద్దది, చెట్టు చిన్నది. Lucas: Perfect. You've got them. And remember, you can practice these anytime you see a tree. Luna: I will. I'm going to walk through the park tomorrow and just point at trees saying these phrases. Lucas: That's the spirit. And if people look at you funny, just tell them you're learning Telugu with Fexingo. Luna: Exactly. Okay, let's do a quick recap. The four phrases we learned: చెట్టు ఎత్తుగా ఉంది, చెట్టు పచ్చగా ఉంది, చెట్టు పెద్దది, చెట్టు చిన్నది. Lucas: Great job, Luna. And listeners, practice these phrases. Say them out loud. You'll remember them. Luna: And if you want to support the show, you know where to find us. Buy Me a Coffee dot com slash Fexingo. Lucas: That's right. Thanks for joining us today. Keep practicing, and we'll see you next time. Luna: Bye! నమస్తే!
