- 0:00Speaker 1: We got to talk about Jay Prince. He put this
- 0:01Speaker 1: in his book. So this is public knowledge. He put
- 0:03Speaker 1: this in his book. So shout out to Houston. My
- 0:05Speaker 1: man Don Key, if you're listening, that's my guy. We
- 0:08Speaker 1: connected on Instagram. Drifted up in Drake style. We got
- 0:10Speaker 1: to go to Houston.
- 0:11Speaker 2: I'm going to get Jay Prince on this thing.
- 0:13Speaker 3: Yeah, that's a fact. That's a fact.
- 0:14Speaker 2: You heard it here. Prince, we need you, man. You
- 0:16Speaker 2: heard it here.
- 0:17Speaker 3: That's a fact.
- 0:18Speaker 1: Shout out to H-Town, man. So Jay Prince told the story.
- 0:22Speaker 1: about how he met you in his book, right? Yeah.
- 0:25Speaker 3: Can you tell that story?
- 0:27Speaker 2: He loved me to tell that story, too. Whenever we're
- 0:30Speaker 2: around new people, Chris, come on, tell them how we met. But,
- 0:34Speaker 2: you know, it wasn't on good terms. And, you know,
- 0:38Speaker 2: his legend and his name and reputation precedes him. So
- 0:42Speaker 2: when I had found out Irv calls me and says
- 0:46Speaker 2: seven days was signed to J Prince. That's one of
- 0:48Speaker 2: your producers at the time. Yeah, he was one of
- 0:51Speaker 2: our main producers and made a lot of hit records,
- 0:56Speaker 2: made a lot of money, and J Prince was basically
- 0:59Speaker 2: claiming all the money he made and generated because Seven
- 1:02Speaker 2: said that's his money. So if he signed to J Prince...
- 1:06Speaker 2: He's like, collect that money, and then we'll do whatever
- 1:10Speaker 2: my deal says I get, I'll take from there. So
- 1:14Speaker 2: Jay reaches out, and Irv tells me, you know, you
- 1:18Speaker 2: got to go to Houston and deal with Jay Prince.
- 1:21Speaker 2: I'm like, great. You know, great. Thanks. Thanks, brother.
- 1:26Speaker 3: Thanks, Irv.
- 1:27Speaker 2: Good looking. Good looking. But, you know, I'm a doger,
- 1:31Speaker 2: so at the end of the day, no problem. At
- 1:33Speaker 2: the time, Preen was home.
- 1:36Speaker 3: Supreme to Supreme.
- 1:36Speaker 2: Yeah, shout out to Supreme. Hold your head, brother. At
- 1:40Speaker 2: the end of the day, Supreme is home, and he
- 1:41Speaker 2: was at Beaumont, Texas, going to see his nephew, Prince.
- 1:46Speaker 2: And he was coming from there.
- 1:47Speaker 3: That's the federal penitentiary, right?
- 1:48Speaker 2: Federal penitentiary out there. And he calls me and tells,
- 1:51Speaker 2: I mean, I call him and tell him I'm going
- 1:53Speaker 2: to Houston. Meet me in Houston. He says, no problem.
- 1:56Speaker 2: Then I call one of my other brothers out there
- 1:58Speaker 2: in Houston, Black. We call him B-1. So I called B-1.
- 2:02Speaker 2: B-1's about that life. So I was like, yo, I'm
- 2:04Speaker 2: coming to Houston. I got a problem out there. He said,
- 2:07Speaker 2: whatever you need, I got you. So I get out there.
- 2:10Speaker 2: He's like, what's happening? He comes, picks me and free
- 2:12Speaker 2: him up. And he's like, what's happening? I said, man,
- 2:14Speaker 2: who's this J Prince guy? I got a problem. He said, oh, man,
- 2:17Speaker 2: I can't do nothing. He's like, that's the big homie.
- 2:20Speaker 2: He's like, I can't help you. So, you know, keep
- 2:23Speaker 2: it moving. Everyone told me don't go to his ranch.
- 2:27Speaker 2: Jay says, he calls me up while I'm in Houston
- 2:29Speaker 2: and says, hey, come meet me at my ranch.
- 2:34Speaker 3: He has a ranch.
- 2:35Speaker 2: He has a ranch. He's a real cowboy. He's a
- 2:38Speaker 2: country boy, man. You know, he's the biggest provider of hay.
- 2:42Speaker 3: Yeah, he said that.
- 2:43Speaker 2: Black Angus beef.
- 2:45Speaker 3: In his book.
- 2:45Speaker 2: Nah, people don't know. He's a mogul. He's a real mogul,
- 2:48Speaker 2: but he's the biggest real estate owner in Houston. Yeah,
- 2:53Speaker 2: he's someone you should talk to. He bought his whole hood.
- 2:55Speaker 2: Fifth Ward is his. Jay Prince, you know what I'm saying?
- 2:58Speaker 2: So at the end of the day, they tell me,
- 3:00Speaker 2: I got to go to this ranch to meet him.
- 3:02Speaker 2: I said, all right. So he sends two cars, two SUVs.
- 3:06Speaker 2: For Jay, it was all presentation. See, I know this
- 3:08Speaker 2: in hindsight now that I'm with, that's my brother. But
- 3:11Speaker 2: in the beginning, I'm thinking this is some bullshit. Like
- 3:14Speaker 2: he sends two cars, two people in one, four in another,
- 3:18Speaker 2: and me and Prem in black. Black's like, I'm going
- 3:20Speaker 2: to come with you in case something goes. I'll try
- 3:22Speaker 2: and defuse it and stop it. So I was like,
- 3:25Speaker 2: all right, bet. So we drive. Again, I just want
- 3:28Speaker 2: to give the listeners and the viewers the vision. When
- 3:31Speaker 2: you get to this part, we drove for about an
- 3:33Speaker 2: hour from where we was at. Then we get to
- 3:36Speaker 2: this one part and it says James Prince Estates. And
- 3:40Speaker 2: we see it's like a billboard. And we say, okay,
- 3:44Speaker 2: make the right turn. And we drove another 20 minutes.
- 3:48Speaker 3: From the gate.
- 3:49Speaker 2: From that corner to get to the middle of the gate.
- 3:53Speaker 2: That's how far, how much land he has.
- 3:55Speaker 1: Good.
- 3:56Speaker 2: And then two more SUVs come down like this path,
- 3:59Speaker 2: like dirt path. You see the cloud of smoke. Me
- 4:02Speaker 2: and Prem is looking at each other like, yo, it
- 4:04Speaker 2: was nice knowing you. No, we was like, yo, it
- 4:06Speaker 2: was nice knowing you, yo. But we going to take
- 4:08Speaker 2: some booze with us. We ain't going out alone, man.
- 4:13Speaker 2: They come four more, and each of those SUVs, we
- 4:15Speaker 2: go up to the ranch. And when we walk in
- 4:18Speaker 2: the ranch, it was like the yard. It was like
- 4:21Speaker 2: you're in Rikers Island in the yard or somewhere. I mean,
- 4:26Speaker 2: it was about 60, 70 dudes all over the house.
- 4:29Speaker 2: And I'm like, what the? Me and Preem was looking
- 4:32Speaker 2: at each other like, yo, they're going to kill us.
- 4:35Speaker 2: So I'm getting frustrated because... He didn't come right out. Like,
- 4:41Speaker 2: you know we're here. Where you at? And again, we're
- 4:44Speaker 2: only 15 minutes in, maybe 20 minutes the most. So
- 4:48Speaker 2: I'm getting frustrated. And I'm like, yo, where's Jay? Who's
- 4:50Speaker 2: Jay Prince? I don't even know what he looks like. Like,
- 4:52Speaker 2: at that time, I didn't even know what the man
- 4:54Speaker 2: looks like. You hear his name and the legend of him.
- 4:58Speaker 2: I'm thinking it's going to be this 6'4, like, dude
- 5:01Speaker 2: come out. And then this little dude comes out from
- 5:04Speaker 2: the back and says, hey, which one of y'all Chris?
- 5:07Speaker 2: And I said, that's me. He said, yeah, come on,
- 5:09Speaker 2: let's go talk. I'm Jay. In my head, I'm like,
- 5:13Speaker 2: this is what this is all about. This nigga right here. Yo,
- 5:17Speaker 2: Jay love it when I tell it, but it's real.
- 5:19Speaker 2: I promise you, it's real. Now, again, I just kept
- 5:24Speaker 2: my composure, but I'm feeling the pressure of the room
- 5:28Speaker 2: and all the dudes and just the environment. Then when
- 5:31Speaker 2: I'm walking to the back with him, You see all
- 5:33Speaker 2: the stuffed animals. Not like the ones you want from
- 5:37Speaker 2: the fucking carnival. No, real fucking animals that's stuffed and everything.
- 5:43Speaker 2: And it's like, so you see he's a hunter. He's
- 5:46Speaker 2: been hunting. Yeah, he's a hunter. And then all the
- 5:48Speaker 2: heads is on the wall. And then you go to
- 5:51Speaker 2: his desk. And right behind his desk is all the
- 5:54Speaker 2: assault rifles. And I'm like, oh, man, this is crazy.
- 6:00Speaker 2: You know what I'm saying? And then he wants to
- 6:01Speaker 2: talk about $ 28 million that's owed to Seven, and he
- 6:04Speaker 2: wants all of that because Seven told him that's all
- 6:06Speaker 2: his money, to which I said, not a chance. And,
- 6:11Speaker 2: you know, the more I know Jay, the more I
- 6:14Speaker 2: understand the move, because the move was really he's going
- 6:17Speaker 2: by what Seven told him, but he's a man of
- 6:21Speaker 2: his word. So if you say something to him, he's
- 6:24Speaker 2: going to make you honor your word. So when I
- 6:28Speaker 2: told him that's not it, I'm like, nah, he can't
- 6:30Speaker 2: get all of that. We gave him half. Irv has
- 6:33Speaker 2: the other half. It's the producer. And that's it. I said,
- 6:36Speaker 2: he doesn't know Jay-Z. He doesn't know J-Lo, Mariah Carey,
- 6:40Speaker 2: you know, Mary J. Blige. We do. And I said,
- 6:43Speaker 2: that's my money. That's basically what I told you. I said,
- 6:46Speaker 2: I don't care what the fuck Sev told you. That's
- 6:49Speaker 2: our money. He said, okay. And that was really the
- 6:53Speaker 2: end of the meeting. Again, and then we went on
- 6:56Speaker 2: after that, became really good friends, and things happened that
- 7:01Speaker 2: made us get really close. You know what I'm saying?
- 7:03Speaker 2: But it was a great way, like his, and I
- 7:06Speaker 2: told him his image precedes him. So I told him
- 7:10Speaker 2: the more he talks or the less he talks, the bigger,
- 7:13Speaker 2: you know, that legend grows. So I always tell him, watch,
- 7:16Speaker 2: don't get in too much limelight. You know, he put
- 7:18Speaker 2: the book out. You know what I'm saying? Yeah. and
- 7:21Speaker 2: the book did great and he it looked like he
- 7:23Speaker 2: was a president if you followed him on the ground
- 7:25Speaker 2: because he was in so many places the campaign he
- 7:28Speaker 2: went on was legendary like i was like who's your
- 7:31Speaker 2: pr guy in the middle of it he uh gets
- 7:34Speaker 2: he got involved with the drake and push the t
- 7:36Speaker 2: thing it was like this is all happening he squashed
- 7:39Speaker 2: it like no drake's not gonna respond they gave me
- 7:41Speaker 2: his word he's not responding.
- 7:43Speaker 3: Yeah and we were like They said Drake had to track.
- 7:46Speaker 2: He said if he would have ever released it.
- 7:47Speaker 3: He said you can't do that.
- 7:48Speaker 2: Yeah, we can't. He crossed too many lines. You know,
- 7:50Speaker 2: there's only a few people. He's one of the biggest
- 7:53Speaker 2: people I ever met.
- 7:54Speaker 3: You say, like strongest.
- 7:56Speaker 2: Honestly, strongest dude I ever met. I give it to
- 7:58Speaker 2: Jay Prince. And Preem is a monster, but he's not
- 8:01Speaker 2: as strong as Jay in that sense. He wasn't as strong. BMF,
- 8:06Speaker 2: like I know T, I know Meech. They wasn't as
- 8:07Speaker 2: strong as Jay Prince, in my opinion. And it's just,
- 8:11Speaker 2: it's crazy. Like when I seen, like how he has his,
- 8:16Speaker 2: not city, that whole state of, you know, he has it.
- 8:20Speaker 3: The Kitakashi, when they, when he was in Austin. Yeah,
- 8:23Speaker 3: he was like, yo, they, he was like, yo, they.
- 8:26Speaker 2: Yeah, I tried to fix that with Shadi. Hold your head, Shadi.
- 8:29Speaker 2: You know what I'm saying? I tried to fix that
- 8:30Speaker 2: with Shadi, man. He said you keep campaigning, eventually you're
- 8:33Speaker 2: going to get elected.
- 8:34Speaker 3: That was a hard one.
- 8:35Speaker 2: I used that all the time. That was a hard one.
- 8:36Speaker 2: That's real. You keep campaigning, you're bound to get elected.
- 8:39Speaker 2: That's a statement. I use that line now. I told
- 8:42Speaker 2: him I'm taking it, so he can't get pub on it.
- 8:45Speaker 1: All right, so, but he said in the book, all right, so,
- 8:48Speaker 1: you you meet them and then y'all become good good
- 8:51Speaker 1: yes and then so y'all have an idea to to
- 8:54Speaker 1: have a black owned distribution company for for records with
- 8:58Speaker 1: you guys jay prince rap a lot and shook night
- 9:02Speaker 1: yes y'all gonna come together east coast down south and
- 9:05Speaker 1: that's a that's a crazy trio but um and he
- 9:09Speaker 1: said in the book he was like right when y'all
- 9:12Speaker 1: was about to get this off the ground and run
- 9:14Speaker 1: it everybody just started catching fake cases and all that.
- 9:17Speaker 3: So then that leads to your fake case.
- 9:20Speaker 2: Coincidence? I don't think so.
- 9:22Speaker 1: So what, that distribution channel that you guys were going
- 9:26Speaker 1: to start?
- 9:27Speaker 2: Yeah, we wanted to be a major distribution company just
- 9:29Speaker 2: like a universal and we was going to cut deals
- 9:32Speaker 2: with all of the outlets. You know, I give Suga
- 9:34Speaker 2: a lot of the credit. Suga's a super smart man, man.
- 9:38Speaker 2: People don't understand him from his business acclimate.
- 9:41Speaker 3: Is he a good dude?
- 9:43Speaker 2: Suga's a predator. Good dude for me, yes. Shug, hold
- 9:47Speaker 2: your head. Good dude for me, yes. But we had
- 9:50Speaker 2: our ups and downs too. But predators, one thing they
- 9:54Speaker 2: respect is that. If you stand your ground, they respect that.
- 9:59Speaker 2: If you don't, if you show up... the weakness, they're
- 10:00Speaker 2: going to take what you got. They're going to eat
- 10:02Speaker 2: your food. And I learned that early from my day.
- 10:06Speaker 2: When I had to deal with Jay, I understood I
- 10:07Speaker 2: couldn't show that. And just like with Suge, I couldn't
- 10:10Speaker 2: show it. But it all turned, you know, for us,
- 10:13Speaker 2: those are all great relationships. Probably the reason why they said,
- 10:15Speaker 2: all right, we can work with them. So it was
- 10:17Speaker 2: Suge's idea? Absolutely.
- 10:18Speaker 3: It was Suge's idea for this?
- 10:19Speaker 2: Suge was putting it together. And Jay, again, is a
- 10:23Speaker 2: super brilliant man. I'm not shading him at all because
- 10:26Speaker 2: he is a genius in his own right from a
- 10:28Speaker 2: business acumen also. He's very methodical. He's a chess... Like,
- 10:33Speaker 2: everyone moves differently. You see how they move. He's a
- 10:35Speaker 2: chess player. He doesn't speak much, you know. And Irv
- 10:40Speaker 2: is vision, creative, you know, on business. And that's where
- 10:44Speaker 2: we was coming together. And when Suge was saying the plays,
- 10:47Speaker 2: we envisioned it and seen that it could really work.
- 10:50Speaker 2: And we was like, wow, this is amazing. And then
- 10:52Speaker 2: all of a sudden, this indictment, that indictment... And like
- 10:57Speaker 2: I said, I don't think that was coincidental. I thought
- 11:00Speaker 2: the feds really wanted to learn about the hip-hop culture
- 11:04Speaker 2: and what better way to go at it than, oh,
- 11:07Speaker 2: these three are getting together. Let's try and chase someone
- 11:09Speaker 2: down and shake this tree and see what comes out.
- 11:11Speaker 2: Sam Cooke actually was trying to do something like that.
- 11:13Speaker 2: Sam Cooke, that's right. And then they think he's the
- 11:15Speaker 2: reason he got killed. Right, like he was seriously gets
- 11:18Speaker 2: killed by some random woman. You know, I hate conspiracy theories, but.
- 11:23Speaker 2: Some of them are real. It's hard to deny certain
- 11:27Speaker 2: things is what I'm saying. I hate it because I
- 11:29Speaker 2: like proof, right? I like to know facts. I don't
- 11:32Speaker 2: like to talk on speculation. I like to know what's
- 11:35Speaker 2: really real. And that's what I mean. But there's so
- 11:38Speaker 2: many factors. Even when you talk about, let's say, like
- 11:42Speaker 2: holistic doctors and then all of a sudden all these
- 11:44Speaker 2: random doctors that got killed or disappeared. Dr.
- 11:49Speaker 3: Sebi.
- 11:50Speaker 2: Dr. Sebi. There has to be some type of connection
- 11:53Speaker 2: that correlates to these deaths. So it's like, so yeah,
- 11:56Speaker 2: it is a conspiracy theory, but there's a lot of
- 11:58Speaker 2: facts too. And you lived it.
- 12:00Speaker 3: So, all right.
- 12:00Speaker 1: So you guys caught the Fed case. So the Feds,
- 12:04Speaker 1: if anybody's not familiar.
- 12:05Speaker 2: I don't know how we caught a Fed case, but
- 12:07Speaker 2: you know, that's another story.
- 12:08Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 12:09Speaker 1: The Feds, the conviction rate is 97%. You don't beat
- 12:11Speaker 1: the Feds. It's almost impossible to beat the Feds. because
- 12:14Speaker 1: they put so much pressure on you, they stretch the
- 12:15Speaker 1: cases out for so long where you almost got to
- 12:17Speaker 1: cop out. That's why the conviction rate is so high
- 12:19Speaker 1: because most people just cop out. And usually your money
- 12:22Speaker 1: runs dry.
- 12:22Speaker 3: So you guys had the peak of your dominance.
- 12:25Speaker 1: Yes.
- 12:25Speaker 3: You caught a federal indictment. What was that?
- 12:30Speaker 2: I'm going to hit you with the Rick Ross.
- 12:35Speaker 3: So they tied it in with Money Laundry and Supreme?
- 12:37Speaker 3: That's what they did?
- 12:38Speaker 2: Well, you know, it was a lot more charges. It
- 12:40Speaker 2: got dwindled down due to great attorneys and the right thing.
- 12:45Speaker 2: Even the money laundering case was stupid. We was charged
- 12:50Speaker 2: with a million dollars in money laundering. Just use your
- 12:54Speaker 2: own common sense from there. A million dollars in money
- 12:56Speaker 2: laundering sounds like a lot, but at that moment we're
- 12:59Speaker 2: paying tens of millions of dollars in taxes. We're paying
- 13:02Speaker 2: eight figures in taxes. I was gambling over a million
- 13:07Speaker 2: dollars a week. but I'm laundering a million dollars. It
- 13:10Speaker 2: doesn't make any sense, right? Just common sense. If I'm
- 13:13Speaker 2: laundering the money, I'm trying to turn it clean, right?
- 13:16Speaker 2: Why would I be gambling a million plus dollars?
- 13:18Speaker 3: You're gambling a million dollars a week?
- 13:19Speaker 2: Oh yeah, they got it. It's all documented.
