  Speaker 1: key statistics to focus on things like turnover differential. You know,
• 5:58
  Speaker 1: so if a team runs into a press and they

  Speaker 1: don't take care of the ball, uh, you know, knowing

  Speaker 1: your zones little things like this, especially in a short
• 6:06
  Speaker 1: prep at the tournament setting like there's eight teams that
• 6:09
  Speaker 1: run a zone at least a third of their possessions
• 6:12
  Speaker 1: on defense, So knowing who those teams are and knowing
• 6:15
  Speaker 1: how their opponents play against the zone, you know, looking
• 6:18
  Speaker 1: at rebounding free throws, I was just looking at St. Louis,
• 6:24
  Speaker 1: Who's somehow got in the tournament. They shoot from the

  Speaker 1: line somehow, Um, but which is second worse in the nation,
• 6:33
  Speaker 1: and Central Florida is right there with them. They're horrible
• 6:36
  Speaker 1: from the line, which could matter and VCU. But basically

  Speaker 1: it's just I'm just in a lab for a couple

  Speaker 1: of days, finalizing bets, writing, um, and then my excitement

  Speaker 1: Mary's is not the matchup for Villanova right now at six.

  Speaker 1: met anyone in the Big East who really defends the

  Speaker 1: three corner well. Of St Mary's right off the bat

  Speaker 1: is one that I love. I also love Wafford against

  Speaker 1: Seaton Hall. Wofford is on a twenty game winning streak
• 9:08
  Speaker 1: and they've gone out there, they have played teams, They've
• 9:11
  Speaker 1: done a fantastic job. Right now, Wofford is it's only
• 9:13
  Speaker 1: favored by three over Seaton Hall. Seaton Hall to me
• 9:16
  Speaker 1: is a paper tiger. Miles Powell has been tremendous and
• 9:19
  Speaker 1: who doesn't love when he's paired with Gus Johnson and
• 9:21
  Speaker 1: Gus Johnson is talking about what Trenton makes the world takes.

  Speaker 1: That's fantastic, but that's pretty much all they have. They
• 9:27
  Speaker 1: had a couple of players kicked out in the Marquette
• 9:30
  Speaker 1: game from Marquette, which is why they got over the
• 9:32
  Speaker 1: hump there. And last time that they won the Big
• 9:35
  Speaker 1: East title, they actually went into the first round and
• 9:38
  Speaker 1: they lost. They won the Big East tournament in twos sixteen.

  Speaker 1: They got a six seed and they got bounced by Gonzaga,
• 9:44
  Speaker 1: the eleven seed, by twelve points. So those are the
• 9:46
  Speaker 1: first two that I looked at right away. St. Mary's
• 9:49
  Speaker 1: over Villanova and Watford given points against Seaton Hall because
• 9:52
  Speaker 1: I Meank Wofford is the real deal. Let me just
• 9:54
  Speaker 1: say one thing. I agreed with everything you set up
• 9:57
  Speaker 1: until the last time they won the Big East they

  Speaker 1: went out and got bounced. There's nobody on that team
• 10:02
  Speaker 1: from his nineteen from two thousand and sixteen. It's like

  Speaker 1: a different conversation. Well that that. There's one person though,

  Speaker 1: that I think is the same, and that's the head coach,
• 10:11
  Speaker 1: Kevin Willard. Has not done a great job with that team.

  Speaker 1: Last year they did win a tournament game, but he's
• 10:17
  Speaker 1: been on shaky ground there, so I kind of feel
• 10:19
  Speaker 1: that the luck is running out here. Miles Powell has
• 10:22
  Speaker 1: saved them the last month with his tremendous play, and
• 10:25
  Speaker 1: I just don't think you can continue to rely on
• 10:27
  Speaker 1: that player. It's not going to be a kemball Walker
• 10:29
  Speaker 1: situation from you kind a couple of years ago. So

  Speaker 1: I agree, But the key point to me is the
• 10:33
  Speaker 1: head coach is still there alright, Stuck, give me your
• 10:37
  Speaker 1: take on what Mike just said. I know how you

  Speaker 1: feel about St. Mary's, so I know you guys are
• 10:40
  Speaker 1: going to have some opinions there. Um, talk to me
• 10:44
  Speaker 1: about Wafford and seton Hall first. Uh yeah, I mean

  Speaker 1: I kind of like Wofford as well. I mean I
• 10:50
  Speaker 1: love it. I actually absolutely love this team. I mean
• 10:52
  Speaker 1: I could make it four, so it's not like I'm
• 10:56
  Speaker 1: dying to bet it, but I'll probably have a piece
• 10:58
  Speaker 1: of Wafford. I think there are a better team, um,
• 11:01
  Speaker 1: and this team is probably under seated for how good
• 11:05
  Speaker 1: they've been. This is a team that out of conference,
• 11:09
  Speaker 1: you know, when their non conference schedule, they you know,
• 11:11
  Speaker 1: they never beat any Power five opponent, but they did.
• 11:15
  Speaker 1: I mean they won at North Carolina last year, but
• 11:17
  Speaker 1: every single one they were in the game, you know,
• 11:19
  Speaker 1: against Kansas and North Carolina, Mississippi State until the very end,
• 11:23
  Speaker 1: and then you know, kind of an artificial misleading score
• 11:27
  Speaker 1: from a team pulling away at the end. But the
• 11:29
  Speaker 1: team has proven before that it's not just a fluke
• 11:32
  Speaker 1: in the Southern Conference. And the Southern Conference, by the way,
• 11:35
  Speaker 1: this year was extremely strong. Uh. You know, there was
• 11:39
  Speaker 1: a time where people thought maybe three or four teams
• 11:42
  Speaker 1: from the Southern could get in. So the fact that
• 11:43
  Speaker 1: they just swept it the entire year, I mean, they
• 11:47
  Speaker 1: wanted the conference tournament, the regular season went undefeated. Uh,
• 11:51
  Speaker 1: they're the real deal. They're extremely tough to defend, shooters
• 11:55
  Speaker 1: all over the place, and uh yeah, I think Wawford's
• 11:58
  Speaker 1: going to get it done. Uh and it ants and
• 12:00
  Speaker 1: that they're scary team and the bracket, and I completely
• 12:03
  Speaker 1: agree with St. Mary's um, I make it three, it's six.

  Speaker 1: set great defense on the perimeter, they don't give up
• 12:27
  Speaker 1: about threes, they just don't give them up. I think

  Speaker 1: only Michigan allows few or three attempts per game, and

  Speaker 1: when they do give them up, they're usually contested. Both

  Speaker 1: of the teams are snails or two of the slowest

  Speaker 1: teams in the fields. I mean, Villanova goes so slow

  Speaker 1: and Mary's is so deliberate, which people probably saw in

  Speaker 1: that Gonzaga final. But another thing to mention is that St.

  Speaker 1: Mary's hasn't played since last Monday when they won, so

  Speaker 1: hopefully they don't come out rusty. But they're gonna be

  Speaker 1: so much more well rested than this Villanova team that
• 12:57
  Speaker 1: relies on just a few number of guys that now

  Speaker 1: won the Big East Tournament playing three games in three days,
• 13:03
  Speaker 1: So I think St. Mary's will have the legs advantage

  Speaker 1: as well. Um and I think they're gonna pull the upset,
• 13:09
  Speaker 1: just like they did the last time they played in
• 13:11
  Speaker 1: two thousand and ten as a Tennessee they beat Illanova
• 13:13
  Speaker 1: has a two seat in the second round, so I
• 13:16
  Speaker 1: like both of those. Wolford, Wofford and St. Mary's all right, so, um,

  Speaker 1: the other games that have been getting a ton of
• 13:24
  Speaker 1: early action, this is some wise guy action. And I

  Speaker 1: will tell you that. Uh last night, you know, we
• 13:31
  Speaker 1: published write ups on every single matchup, every single game.

  Speaker 1: The game that started to get the most traction VCU
• 13:39
  Speaker 1: and u CF. If you looked in Google, if you

  Speaker 1: if you looked on our site and saw like the

  Speaker 1: Google trends, VCU and u CEF was getting the most traffic,

  Speaker 1: it was the strangest thing. Um that was entirely from like,
• 13:52
  Speaker 1: you know, search on Google, people looking for a VCS,
• 13:55
  Speaker 1: v C, v C U u c F game. Right
• 13:58
  Speaker 1: up end of the money is coming in a VCU.

  Speaker 1: That's a sharp play because the line has gone the

  Speaker 1: opposite direction. Uh why are the wise guys coming in

  Speaker 1: a VCU? Mike Randall, because star point guard Marcus Sevens
• 14:13
  Speaker 1: is going to play. He had an injury in the
• 14:15
  Speaker 1: Atlantic ten tournament but did not sustain any structural damage.

  Speaker 1: And that team is a very, very dangerous team this
• 14:22
  Speaker 1: year moving forward. Their defense is unreal. Their half court defense,
• 14:27
  Speaker 1: they get up full court, they trapped you in the
• 14:29
  Speaker 1: half court. Micro Roades is an excellent coach. They are
• 14:31
  Speaker 1: seventh in the country. And adjusted defensive efficiency. They are
• 14:35
  Speaker 1: third best defense against the effective field goal percentage, and
• 14:38
  Speaker 1: most importantly, which is very key in the tournament, they
• 14:41
  Speaker 1: are third best in the nation at defending the three
• 14:44
  Speaker 1: point shot, so they create havoc, They forced turnovers, and
• 14:48
  Speaker 1: once Marcus Evans is cleared, this was a team that
• 14:50
  Speaker 1: I loved. When Evans went out and looked bad when
• 14:53
  Speaker 1: he left the game there, I thought they were in
• 14:55
  Speaker 1: some trouble. But with him coming back being totally healthy,
• 14:58
  Speaker 1: it's almost like people cooled on them. So I think
• 15:00
  Speaker 1: the wise guys are jumping in here knowing that v
• 15:02
  Speaker 1: CU they have a history there. Like you said, different teams,
• 15:05
  Speaker 1: different players, but the program here has a history of
• 15:07
  Speaker 1: of getting hot, and they with their defense and their
• 15:10
  Speaker 1: havoc and turnovers that they force in the half court,
• 15:12
  Speaker 1: if they just get some decent scoring, some decent three
• 15:16
  Speaker 1: point shooting, and there are only three in the country
• 15:19
  Speaker 1: and three point shooting themselves at thirty point seven percent.

  Speaker 1: But if a couple of players like Evans can get hot,
• 15:24
  Speaker 1: this defense is so good they could make a deep run. Alright,
• 15:27
  Speaker 1: Stuck the other matchup I want to talk about. You know,

  Speaker 1: it's like every year, um we start hearing conversations about
• 15:35
  Speaker 1: the same teams, like the same bet on teams every year.

  Speaker 1: So here we've got you see Irvine going against Kansas State.

  Speaker 1: Kansas State is a five point favorite, at least opened,
• 15:47
  Speaker 1: it's a five point favorite. Everybody is talking about u C.

  Speaker 1: Irvine is the side they want to be on. Why
• 15:53
  Speaker 1: is this stuck? Tell me why? Well, well, the first

  Speaker 1: thing I do want to say a conspiracy theory with
• 15:59
  Speaker 1: you with UCF VCU, which just keep me off BEXU.

  Speaker 1: I agree with everything Randall said, and they're going to

  Speaker 1: foul a decent amount because of the defense they played,

  Speaker 1: and UCF is horrible at the line, which is something

  Speaker 1: to note. But part of me thinks, I mean Marcus

  Speaker 1: Eevans is on crutches this weekend? Is did VCU come

  Speaker 1: out and say he's fine and it's just the bruise

  Speaker 1: to get into the tournament and maybe he's not healthy.

  Speaker 1: But that defense is legit. Uh. In regards that, you

  Speaker 1: see Irvine. You know, New Mexico State is another one.

  Speaker 1: New Mexico State gets the love as a sleeper all

  Speaker 1: the time. I tweeted this out the other day. I said, now,

  Speaker 1: your friend New Mexico State. Your friend is going to

  Speaker 1: now say New Mexico stays a sleeper because they're legit.

  Speaker 1: It's just these trendy teams out in the West coasts.
