- 0:00Speaker 1: Last break of the day, guys, and it's been a
- 0:02Speaker 1: great day. And we want to say thank you as
- 0:04Speaker 1: always for writing with us for all these years, for
- 0:08Speaker 1: all these days, weeks, months, Thank you so much from
- 0:11Speaker 1: the bottom of our hearts. Junior, you have a question, Yeah, Harvey.
- 0:17Speaker 2: You talk about dreams all the time and how important
- 0:19Speaker 2: they are, and can you talk to us about the
- 0:22Speaker 2: dangers of letting somebody steal your dream and talk you
- 0:25Speaker 2: out of it? Because you know, some people say, you know,
- 0:27Speaker 2: like why you want to do that?
- 0:28Speaker 3: You see all the time. It happens more times than not.
- 0:34Speaker 3: Most people's dreams end up being tucked away. The average person,
- 0:40Speaker 3: for various reasons, wind up not pursuing their dreams. The
- 0:46Speaker 3: number one well, there's a lot of reasons, but the
- 0:49Speaker 3: number one reason people don't pursue their dreams is the
- 0:54Speaker 3: fear of those dreams not coming true. It is that
- 1:00Speaker 3: fear of failure that produces the most failure, so they
- 1:06Speaker 3: simply give up, or even worse, they don't even try.
- 1:10Speaker 3: What people don't understand is everything you aspire to, everything
- 1:16Speaker 3: you dream for, it has to be difficult. The higher
- 1:22Speaker 3: you aspire to go, the greater the price it don't
- 1:29Speaker 3: work no other way. The more you want, it comes
- 1:32Speaker 3: with a cost. It has a price, and sad to say,
- 1:38Speaker 3: two people don't want too many people. Too few people
- 1:42Speaker 3: want to pay the price because it's costly. I'm gonna
- 1:47Speaker 3: tell you something about chasing your dreams. You're gonna lose
- 1:50Speaker 3: some friends. You're gonna lose them. Man, you're gonna lose them.
- 1:57Speaker 3: That hate come in, You're gonna lose them. That oh
- 2:01Speaker 3: who oh who we think he is? Now, you're gonna
- 2:04Speaker 3: lose them. You're gonna lose some sleep. Chasing your dreams cost.
- 2:12Speaker 3: It's gonna cost you a lot of sleepless nights, a
- 2:15Speaker 3: lot of times. You're not gonna be able to rest.
- 2:18Speaker 3: You gonna miss events. I can't tell you how many
- 2:22Speaker 3: times I missed something my children had going on. Now
- 2:27Speaker 3: you got people sitting up here going, I'm not gonna
- 2:29Speaker 3: trade in seeing my kids for nothing. Okay, that's cool.
- 2:32Speaker 3: You don't have to, you know, then at least let
- 2:37Speaker 3: your children see they dreams come true. Since you done
- 2:39Speaker 3: decided you ain't gonna see yours because it comes out
- 2:42Speaker 3: of cost. Man, It's it's just I didn't make this up.
- 2:46Speaker 3: This ain't the way I It ain't the route I
- 2:48Speaker 3: had to take. It's the route everybody has to take.
- 2:51Speaker 3: It comes with a cost. You gotta pay the toll,
- 2:55Speaker 3: and the thing that it costs is gonna cost you
- 2:58Speaker 3: something you care about. You're gonna miss some recitals, you're
- 3:03Speaker 3: gonna miss some some some some some uh events, some ceremonies.
- 3:09Speaker 3: You're gonna miss it, man. And I'm gonna tell you
- 3:11Speaker 3: something for me. And it's difficult too, because nobody gets
- 3:17Speaker 3: to be a husband, a father, and a success without
- 3:23Speaker 3: messing it up. You just don't because if you're there
- 3:28Speaker 3: all the time for them like they would love, then
- 3:33Speaker 3: you can't be out there providing the things that they love.
- 3:38Speaker 3: And if you're out there providing the things that they love,
- 3:42Speaker 3: you ain't gonna be around the ones you love. It's
- 3:46Speaker 3: a cost. It's a balancing act that very few people
- 3:51Speaker 3: can get correct until later. Like now I have a
- 3:58Speaker 3: little bit more time spend with family things like that.
- 4:04Speaker 3: Early on I didn't. That was the cost. I think
- 4:09Speaker 3: one of my greatest gifts was listening to one of
- 4:11Speaker 3: my sons explaining My oldest son, Steve told me, he said, Dad,
- 4:17Speaker 3: I missed you when I was a little boy. He said,
- 4:20Speaker 3: But I also understand now, he said, you didn't just
- 4:24Speaker 3: belong to me. He said, I'm so proud of you
- 4:28Speaker 3: as my father right now, he said, because Dad, everywhere
- 4:32Speaker 3: we go in the world, you are loved and respected,
- 4:37Speaker 3: and I could not be prouder to be your son.
- 4:40Speaker 3: My son told me that I had to walk away
- 4:44Speaker 3: from you, man, because that hit me hard. But that's
- 4:50Speaker 3: the price you pay early. But what you want to do, though,
- 4:53Speaker 3: why are you chasing your dreams? Is you want to
- 4:56Speaker 3: be an example for your children that my mother, my father,
- 5:01Speaker 3: they didn't give up. They made it happen in spite
- 5:04Speaker 3: of because see, your children really not gonna get it
- 5:07Speaker 3: until they get older. Anyway, then they gonna realize the
- 5:12Speaker 3: sacrifices that you made. They gonna get all the times
- 5:17Speaker 3: that you were away. Chasing your dreams is hard because
- 5:23Speaker 3: it comes with the cost. But I'm telling anybody that's
- 5:27Speaker 3: listening that's considering chasing their dreams or considering giving up,
- 5:33Speaker 3: don't you dare give up? Don't you dare give up?
- 5:37Speaker 3: Because the price for giving up on your dreams it's immeasurable.
- 5:44Speaker 3: You will live this life in regret. Would have, should have,
- 5:52Speaker 3: could have man, that's a sad thing to see. So
- 5:59Speaker 3: go on to pay the price, pay the costs because
- 6:04Speaker 3: at the end it'll be worth it and everybody will
- 6:07Speaker 3: appreciate it, and those that don't they didn't care about
- 6:11Speaker 3: you anyway. Those are my close remarks. Have a great
- 6:14Speaker 3: one today. Talk to God today. He would absolutely love
- 6:17Speaker 3: to hear from.
